The only I choose the altcoins to invest in is through the team and the name behind the development once you can see a popular name behind the project and you are able to verify the physical address of the business behind the project that is a good altcoin to invest in, because the coin will be backed by a working ecosystem.

You have to look on the project in general. Compare it with other similar projects to make base line to see how is this project doing with respect the others more mature. After at which stage price is evolving. If it is just beginning beware of overemotiomal market if it too far you have to catch up with to grasp potential for growth.

I choose, projects like eth or stellar which are established and already has very low risks or projects have a very small market cap and big potential like risk big win big tokens (like semux). There is lots of ways for choosing, you should decide your own strategy.

Just bear in the mind the gold and only rules before investing in any financial markets: Buy low and sell high. Never make a risky investment with useless shitcoins and no real use state altcoins.

Lastly, (3) Its movement -- Check on how the coin is moving in the market, if it is showing aggressive movements, even if there are decreases at times, but would always go back up, then that can be a good sign that such coin has a good impact in the market.

If you couldn't choose for your own then I suggest to invest only in those who have been around in crypto look in the top list in CMCTOP100 (https://coinmarketcap.com/coins/) .
They are the alt-coins that I trust since they already have a wall of supporters that would back up the price and wouldn't be dump easily.
And invest in an alt-coin that have an active community and a good project , Invest only for the crypto that you think would last for long since look for a long term investment but it also depends on you.

I suggest to study more about the altcoins, most of the altcoins now are pumping even if the market is still in bear trend, try to invest on that and earn profit as well.

Well, I see both. Most people dwell solely on the popularity of tokens, but I don't. some tokens are actually enterprise tokens which will be used by businesses. those tokens might not be popular, but their prices will always increase because businesses need them. Altcoins are right for investment, but you have to know the right altcoin to choose. This depends on a lot of factors which is left on to you to dig on.

in my opinion, in a situation like this. investing in altcoins by looking at its popularity is the safest step at the moment.

I dont rely on the popularity but if that will be an ICO and a legit project to be list in an exchange soon i might consider that.

Right now, with that BTC dominance I will always take that offer to invest in some interesting altcoins. Outside TOP10? TOP25? It's only personal decision.

You don't just consider only the current price of that particular coin to make your investment decisions. Follow its one week or month chart and see if that is a good price for you to enter. You should also consider the activeness of the team in developing the project and not just its popularity

Never look at the price or you are going to fill your portfolio with shitcoins. Take a look at the team and their product. Do they have a working MVP or a released product? Do you think this product may be useful for the masses?
Those are my criterias for investing. One of the last coins I invesred in was Agent not Needed (ANN). Their usecase and product currently boom in the UK, huge partnerships around the world are coming.

Price and popularity aren't the very thing that you should consider when you invest to the right altcoin. Include a basis on how's the usefulness of that coin. If that coin is obviously worthless, you should stop looking to that coin.

For me, it really depends on the popularity and how the core team works hard towards the success of the project.  How they handle the project.  How they work according to their plan.  All hands on deck attitude of the team.

In the past when I am in my beginning time knew cryptocurrency, I choose altcoin because of the low price so I can be able to buy a large amount. But then, I realize that to invest in altcoin, and I need to know the project and how good the project. Check out bitmax exchange, I can see a bright future for them since they introduced a lot of services other crypto exchange wouldn't give. I assume it is one of the greatest exchange next to binance. In my opinion alts are a good choice (i can't say good investment, because it could turn not to be) because they go up much harder than Bitcoin. I'll choose coin that has popularity instead I look at the price side. I have experienced when I choose altcoin that has a high price but in the end the price dropped and I lost more than half the initial capital. Usually this happens to the new altcoin, you know when the altcoin price when the ICO is $1 but when the ICO has been skipped and the coin is already been listed on several exchanges but the price slowly decreases. That was the first loss when choosing investment in terms of price.

There is one in particular that I am pretty fond of and happy with.  It isn't popular at all though and it also isn't at that great of a price right now.  It is a decent price if want to invest, but it isn't anywhere near as high as it was.  I am talking about EOS.  I know there are a lot of EOS haters on here, but they are really doing some exciting things and they have some cool projects coming in the future.  There is also a big announcement supposedly coming in June that might help to drive the price.  If you haven't looked into it yet, I would check it out.  I have a decent amount invested into it and I don't regret it at all.
