Two and a half year ago I decided to be a cable cutter, so I canceled my cable subscription, that included around 10 sports channels, after that, I have lived with  movie and series streaming options like Netflix, the only time I paid to get access to stream sport was for one month at the 2018 world cup.

But I still gamble each day on sports, most of my gamble is on football, but I never or almost never watch any games live.

How important is it to be able to watch the matches to make correct bets on the teams. I don't think it has made any difference for me, I still withdraw more money than I deposit from my sport bookmakers.

My question is, do you watch the games your gambling on?

Depending on the sports i do bet on but talking on your favorite sports then most of the time i do tend or like to see it live.Why? You do really enjoy and feel the thrill of
your bet when you do saw your team is on winning or losing side.If i do bet on other sports then i do just simply neglect or just see the results directly.

I usually don't watch the games I'm betting on because I don't want to watch on television, sometimes I go watch live but since I'm too busy with my work I just got an update online. I'm just watching the replay online for my future references so I can bet again on the winning team. If you're serious with your bet you'd better to watch the game or else someone will bring false news to you and it can make your money loss.

Yes I do watch every game because I only bet with my favorite teams and I want to experience the excitement whether its live, online or through television. Sports betting is fun, especially in volleyball and basketball where you can easily see the winning team. I usually bet on NBA, and here on our local league and for me its profitable compare to other games on casinos.

I usually don't watch the matches I am betting on because I get very nervous when something goes wrong and that's happens pretty much every time. I choose to rather wait until the end of the match and see what the result is or check 2-3 times during the match what the score is and that's it. Absolutely I watch the match I bet on, it is the fun of sports betting especially if I bet against my own friends. In case I bet it online, then I can do live betting when there is a good moment to place additional bet which can be more profitable.

Yes, of course, especially if that event was my favorite team match I will surely watch that match. for me, it's better for you to watch the match because there's an excitement between the two players opponents and guessing who will be the winning team at the end and you know if you are betting on sports had been won. But it depends on the situation, if I am busy at that time I will watch the replay on youtube.

However,sports betting is not my thing and I don't make any profits.I guess I'll have to quit betting on football matches.There are way too many options/markets and you have to analyze everything and still rely on luck.

Whenever I do Esports betting I always watch the game. It is also a good time to evaluate the teams that are battling so that when you are going to bet against two high caliber team you would know who pick.

Yes  watch them, but I only watch them live at tv and never had the chance going personally where the game is held the game. Sometime, yes. But for bet that i picked because i ask my friend, i am not watch it because sometime it is not on my TV. But i try to watch what game that i bet  because if me bet by myself, i pick on match that be my favourite.

Sometimes I watch, but sometimes I forget to watch the match.
Because I remember many things at the same time and that is why sometimes I forget to remember what I should do for that day. But I make some notes in my android to reminds me about what should I do after finish something.

Besides that, I am not too often to place bets in sports, and I only make a bet if I want, but I don't always watch the match.

Watching the game you put your money on plus the game you have addicted on is the best. For example, I'm betting on my favorite team in LCS TL in North American LCS. I always watching their games, and found out that I can even make some money just by watching them. They have 15-2 record this split and all they do is win. They were 11-0 I think at a time this split. So, betting on them is a sure win for me. Only TSM could defeat them. They defeated TL twice.

Of course we wanted to watch every game that we have bet and wanted to see how are team are doing. Unfortunately, because of the obvious time difference, I can't simply watch all of them.

Most of the times I just watched some high-lights on youtube or maybe catch a replay on my local channel. It's exciting to see the team play and route for the team which you have a (big) bet on.

As a sports fans, I would say yes. But as a gambler, sometimes you are put on a big stress watching the live games because you don't know if you're going to win or not. I do watch the games that I bet. You want to see on how's the team that you are betting with your money. Like, if they are good condition, what are the handicap, if there will be a player that can't play for that specific match that you will bet.

It's more of the update that you want to be secured with that team you're betting. Although there are bettors who are good even without watching games, they are keeping themselves updated through social media updates,internet articles,news,etc.

Yea, most of matches that i gamble I try to watch football mostly. My betting is for fun more but I enjoy the excitement and trill of the match that Im watching.
Love also racing sport like motogp and F1 with sometimes WTCC,ETCC and DTM but most of times it football time. All major leagues CL and EL.

There are a lot of websites that offer free streaming for almost all sports and to watch the match you have bet on gives you the opportunity to remedy some of the lost bets as you can bet live and when you watch the game you get an idea for example if there will be goals or not thus managing to counter a losing bet with a winning one.

There's no fun if you don't know what happens during the game. It's like you are just basing on the numbers/odds that you are doing, no basis. Maybe if you know the games, then you could analyze it, but it's no fun. It's fun to watch the games especially if you love the game. It should be awesome.

Well. I don't usually watch matches in gambling because i think it is boring. I only watch a match in a gambling game if there are only millionaires who plays in a table.

It has a sense if you watch the match event on the TV showed live and at least you will know what is the reason behind that the opponent get lose if ever. I would bet if my favorite team is in a match, I really like football and the team I'm proud of is Manchester United and when my favorite team plays, I'll bet with friends whose team will fight Manchester United.

In my opinion watching matches can help to get know the teams better, and thus to better decide on the future bets. Betting based only on statistics and feelings is actually the reason why people lose money. I like to watch games I bet on, this is much more interesting then only watch to some live score site or to check results after game end.

I think people do not watch live games because they have no way to do that (low internet speed / bad live streams, expensive tv subscription), but if you have satellite dish and a suitable satellite receiver + some publicly available knowledge, you can watch almost any sport event for free :)

I watched every game that I gambling on. Why? Because it's really excited and fun and the excitement you're getting after seeing your favorite team winning a game.

Not all of them, first of all I bet on NBA a lot and they are aired on times I sleep so most of the time when I bet on NBA games I watch the highlights next day when I wake up so I do not really know the results during the game but when I wake up and check the bet slip.

It is the right thing to do.  You are supposed to watch the matches that you have placed betting on.  Many gamblers did not understand this and some times you optimistic about winning may give luck to you team.

I think the question should be - Should you gamble on matches that you watch for fun?

The reason I say this is simple; when I watch a match, irrespective of the sport, I want to watch it to enjoy it. To have a relaxing time. Not pick my hair out because I might lose money for someone else's mistake.

Being optimistic doesnt affect on one teams luck.It wont really vary nor have any connections at all.The only thing why we do see these live games is that we can really feel the essence of the game which you can somehow

It is better to watch the game, its either we win or not but at least we saw how the game end and their is no question of why is that happen.

Whether it is a winning or loss by the end of the day, I prefer watching the complete match. I put money to gamble just for my favorite team so as I'll watch the game. However, I'll bet if my team play with the teams that I feel my team will win. Although it is not an assurance that my team will get win because in the football there is no surety that the good teams will won when they play with the underdog teams. Of course i do watch matches on which i am doing gambling. There are basically two reasons for this.

1- I enjoy the game more because my money is invested on my favorite team

2- I can make decisions on which team to bet while watching the match and this makes my chances of wining more as i can bet on the better team on the day.

I guess watching multiple games is more important but not everyone will have time to do so. Best thing is to predict the teams matches based on their past performance, their current forms/position on the table, news about the teams and some other important factors

I do watch them always but I bet more on MMA than football or any other sport and it's easy to find the fights on various platforms, even on youtube. This sometimes means that I can't watch them live but it would be impossible most of the time anyway because matches are usually transmitted at night and I have to get some sleep to be able to work during the day so I watch them the next day.

Offcourse I watch matches that I'm betting on. I just don't understand how it's possible to bet without watching it. Because you need to see how teams or individual players are performing. if you have a heart problem or anxiety problem, then not watching it will do you good, but of course you missed all the excitement especially if the games is to close to call, in my case i do watch game I bet I'd like to see if I win or lose or not.

It depends on sports and I am not much familiar with football as well. But in my opinion, for you to be able to know who are the teams you would be so much confidence to place your bet with is that you have to know and watch their performance.

I just rarely watch those since sports betting isn't my thing but whenever I bet on specifically on boxing I made sure that I watched it so I can have an up to date details. Though, for some watching is impractical since you already had place your bet.

For sure, Netflix rates will be much higher than the normal Dish / Cable channels. Still 5$ for all the channels is very cheap.
If you have time and access to all the channels, i would recommend you to bet on matches while viewing them on TV  as then you have better chances of a win.

The best is actually to watch the game because you will know exactly the mistakes and flaws of different players and their respective team. I follow up on the games and I watch almost every match but for some matches that am not able to watch because of my work, I have a social media group I joined on Facebook that shows the highlight of each game. I am a very nervous person and I experience a lot   of tension while watching live matches. I find this very frustrating especially when am watching my favorite match. If it is a big match, yes, I will try to watch the game on television or through streaming. But, sometimes I have to miss it because of my other activities. Watching a match while we are risking some money on one of the competing teams provides a different experience. When I bet specially on sports I dont not usually watch it, I am only looking for the live score of that team, for me it has more exciting rather than watching it live and sometimes it is not available on local channels. I think watching it live creates more hype on your part. Since, you're rooting for the team. And it will bring nervousness on you when an enemy team scored on the team you bet on. The games sometimes is telecasts on the site you are betting on.

I think it is not so difficult to watch our investment in sports because we definitely need to follow each and every moment it will definitely help for the next investment that you are put some effort it will always been a plus point for you.

Its not difficult to toggle the stream button but its difficult to watch if you are a busy person  . like me all i can do is to place bets and leave for a while , ill then go back after some hour or even a day if im on a hectic schedule  .

Well i don't think its a valid reason of not watching the match. Even if you do not watch the match and your betting teams loses, you will get to know at the end of the match and you will be equal sad for it too. So, i prefer to watch the match so i can know beforehand what could be the possible result of my bet.

I am glad to be in a different timezone actually. For most European football the time for me is in the late evening. If it was normal times I would not be able to work. The midnight and early morning games are the problem though. But I rarely stay up to watch unless it is a really important match.

I use to follow the casino games, football, rugby, handball and wrestling. If there is any games going on in these games I used to play these so I can predict it better like gamblers do it.

Depends on what sports. If its basketball, I don't watch the whole game, I just watch the last few minutes of the game. If its Boxing or MMA, I watch the entire fight since most of the time it will not take a few rounds before the fight is over. Those are the only sports where I place my bets. Yes for me because I really wanted to monitor the performance of the team that i’m betting on to see whether they are on the winning or losing side and it is very exciting and fun as well just watching the game. If its UFC or any MMA promotion yes, same with boxing, I definitely watch those, but in the case of Basketball, football or even tennis, no. I will just wait for the final result.
