Yea, I'm done with Discord and all the next FOTM stuff. I decided to close a lot down and go back to what's worked well in the past. Forum and Twitter are the only ways outside of the actual website that I'll be using moving forward. The only new thing I'm adding is YouTube on a smaller scale than the other options

There just got to be too many people involved for things they should have no responsibility with so instead of chasing what people want, I'm going to use what I prefer and if they want that, then cool  :)

Yes much is explained in your video but you should still add a brief summary of text here with some pictures and stuff.

Some things will be changing from the video anyway. A couple settings were tuned a bit wrong, like increasing stake rate by 1% per Masternode; it gets too high too fast with what I was originally planning (thank you sims  :))

There is still over 26M coins in the sell-book on the CoinExchange, and I assume even more are on the exchanage, but not on the books. Thats huge portion of the total old WORM supply.

Then I suggest people withdraw them and swap with me because I don't know if/when they are going to swap on there. I've been trying to get ahold of ethought but no luck yet. I've been trying to get people to get their coins moved for months; if they still didn't listen then they probably never will

The update is to address syncing issues and change the number generator used for the pseudo-random rewards. Right now we are staking more than usual to get to Block 20k as quickly as possible; after that, difficulty should begin to naturally come back down to make staking easier

 Well, it seems like the network settled down and I'm now staking without the need to restart the wallet from a orphaned/stuck block. We will see how it goes once it get past block 20k.

Coins are staking like a beast due to low network difficulty. I like the new wallet layout and the ease of getting the coins swapped. If you haven't already swapped your old Worm coins, you better do that before it's too late.

The dev has contacted CoinExchage regarding swap and soon they will be running a new version of Worm.

I'm fairly certain that was because of using GetTime for a portion of the number generator formula; I've seen similar issues in the past with timestamps, so that is what is being replaced after Block 20k. If the new pseudo-random parameters are not sufficient, we can always revert back to using timestamps, or something else, as needed. How we get the generator running doesn't really matter, as the formula for actual reward amount has caps on both the upper and lower amounts. As long as it's not an easily gamed system, it doesn't matter how we get to the finish line as long as we cross it

Ok, so I got in touch with CoinExchange for swapping their users' balances. I don't have a date, yet, for when they are going to do it, but technically June 21st was supposed to be the last day for manual swaps

I will let you guys know when they tell me when they are planning on swapping their coins. If you are an OLD WORM or NEON user with your coins currently on CoinExchange, the swap date for their users is being decided by them, not me; if it was my decision it would be done already, but they need time to plan or something, I'm not really sure what their plan is, yet

If you are already swapped and on the new chain, please report how your staking is going and if your wallet is having any issues. We are going to be hitting Block 20k today

Rewards dropped a bit more than expected. Gonna let it run for a little while and see what we come up with (reducing inflation is never a bad thing, but we don't want it TOO low)

I think I might need to adjust a decimal place, this might be way too low

I would rather err on the side of rewards being too low than too high. We can always increase them but we cant make coins disappear. I'll let it run for a few hours and see where we're at. These are easily adjusted dials, so as long as this fixes syncing issues, we are on the right path!

I want sure how using fees as part of the calculation would turn out, but I am more concerned with the syncing right now. Reward amount can be adjusted a lot easier than syncing issues can be

New wallet.dats will now sync much faster and old wallet.dats will now stay synced indefinitely without requiring a restart. Minimum stake reward is increased, while maximum stake reward is decreased

Downloaded and running the V2.2 Wallet

Anyhow, i was able to run pass block 20k even with old wallet
But in order to make sure everything went fine, i guess its better to update to the latest wallet

But the reward actually dropped tho

block 20k was the critical one for the previous wallet. the current one kicks in at 22k to fix the reward thing.


Apparently we already passed 22k. Still waiting for a stake to see if it's really fixed

Everything works well. I think the rewards are also the right size.
We need more nodes -> more open wallets.

I'm still working on the OP like I said yesterday. For now I'm just trying to get the relevant info in there. Anyway 6 more staking and disappeared.

Just regular orphans. I see 0 orphans in my wallet, which is impossible, so they are just automatically removed to avoid confusion. There's no way I don't have a single orphan this whole time, so it's just that they are removed for wallet clarity

I've noticed a discrepancy between the block explorer and my wallet regarding my address.

For a while now, the explorer has been showing a slightly higher balance than my wallet.
It can't be just a case of the explorer lagging behind because I never removed any coins. It's my single staking address so it only goes up.

I repaired my wallet multiple times with different options like rescan, reindex etc. Still the same.
I suppose I could sync from scratch but is the a possibility there is something weird going on with the explorer?

Not sure... That might be because your wallet does not show the coins that are in stake.

I don't know how it is done in Windows wallet, but my Linux wallet shows only the free coins when I call "getinfo". The inputs that are staking and not mature, are not accounted on the balance. To get the full balance, I have either to look it up in block explorer, or stop staking for a while, so all staking inputs clear and appear again on my balance. May it be the case with your wallet too?

No, that's not the problem. The windows qt wallet clearly shows spendable, immature and total balance. The total balance is currently lower than the block explorer.

I resynced from scratch and the issue remains. That leads me to believe that the issue is actually with the explorer double counting some of my UTXOs.

I would trust local wallet if you've done a resync and rescan. Sometime database lines can get messy, but it's pretty early in the chain so I would say that a discrepancy is a definite possibility. Nobodys fault, weird shit happens

Yeah, thats strange. I know Iquidus explorer database sometimes gets messy, but not sure it could cause this.

If you are set to find the reason, one thing to try is to send all your balance to another address in your wallet, then look how it looks like on the explorer.
That will hinder your staking for some time though, until inputs split again.

Or I can rebuild the explorer database to see if it changes anything. It will take awhile though...

For any staking related issues, the first step will always be to combine your coins; this will solve like 99% of the problems or delays in staking

I vouch for that for I ran into a similar issue and combining the txn solved my issue and I was back in business making more money. So yeah, definitely give it a try.

I was thinking quite the opposite, actually, and that inflation needed to slow down a bit, to be honest, but mostly the response I've seen from the current formula and timings has generally been pretty positive; well, other than the trolls talking shit about me and the coin in CoinExchange trollbox  :(

Inflation must be at the right level. This will have a positive effect on the price of the coin.

It's a fine balance. Too high and the inflation will get out of control quickly; too low and people won't be interested enough to actually hold and stake the coins, so I can definitely understand the arguments on both sides

If you do not see the IP of a node you are consistently running a WORM node on in this list, please reply with the IP you are running a node on. My wallet, as well as the explorer (which runs on different machine) are constantly on a fork.. And what is even more strange - they are on two different forks, none of which is the fork which NovaExchnage is on!!

It looks like there are at least 3 different active forks in the network, maybe even more! I resync the wallet and explorer, but they keep forking.

I am quite confused. Which fork is the official? How to find out whether I am on the official chain, or on a fork?

This situation needs to be fixed. Are there any plans to release new wallet with a fix?
Or alternatively, publish a list of the nopdes which are on the right fork, so I can add it to conf file using "connect=" token, instead of "addnode=".

My main wallet seems to be on that chain (but need to check using getblockhash), but as far as I can see at least NovaExchange is on a different fork (their current block is 83877). Not sure about CoinExchange.
If that is confirmed, Nova has to be contacted asap, as they could get coins from fake chain dumped.

P.S. I'll turn explorer down for awhile, until we find out the right chain, and find a reliable way to sync from that chain (maybe a bootstrap? or a specific node list to put into conf file using "connect" token..?).
Anyway explorer is on a wrong chain again now.

Am I really the only one with such issues? I don't believe so as even one of the exchanges is on a fork.

How this could be fixed? Which nodes should I use to get to the right chain?

If you select randomly among all addresses, you may be just sending to an exchange wallet...
It could be more useful to send to staking addresses, both to encourage network support, and to avoid sending to dead or exchange addresses.

Hello everyone, I have some interesting news for those of you who hold RCoinUSA. I don't make posts like this often, so when I do, it's best if everyone listens

A few years ago I was asked to make a coin for someone, which I've been doing for a very long time, so that's nothing new. However, I have recently discovered the true intentions of how these people treat innocent users, and guess what.. I'm not liking what I've seen. So instead of just saying fuck it and letting some scammers get away with fucking over innocent users, I've decided to step up and use my current position to do what I can to steer people away from these idiots

So I would like to invite (most) users of RCoinUSA to join us in the WORM Blockchain! You are invited to participate in a one-time, short-term opening, swap from your worthless RCNUSA to an active, maintained blockchain in WORM. There will be a swap available to the innocent users in this unfortunate situation for the month of November. When this is finished, there is a good chance that I will use the original code for RCNUSA to both disable the future of the blockchain, as well as erase the past of it; transaction history will be entire over-written to prevent these morons from fucking anyone else over with work that I have done in the past. Don't want to swap? That's fine, but you are accepting the fact that your coins will either: a) become even more worthless than they are now, or b) they may or may not just completely disappear from your wallet. Please note that all current and past wallets will be compatible with my 'network update' when the time comes. If I post new wallets, you would be smart to use it, but if you do not update, it doesn't matter, the old ones will work even worse than the one that I post to end this

Anyone was able to withdraw WORM from Unnamed.Exchange? I constantly get error when trying to withdraw. It says "Failed to validate address", though I am absolutely sure the address is correct. I even tried to enter their own Worm deposit address to their addressbook, and it still says "Failed to validate address".

I have no error's but I can't withdraw my coins.

WORM has shown quite a nice performance in the past years, and its a step away from being accepted to a Libra Consortium, an association of blockchain-centered projects and leaders in the crypto space. One thing that distinguishes Worm coin among others is that it has been around for as long as bitcoin itself. Its all nice I suppose. But the coin is driven mostly by a community spirit, and because theres no community but only its spirit, this starts to looks suspicious. And it does ring alarm bells.

It seems team Worm has worked very hard to get listed in prestigious exchanges and of -course it is being around in the crypto market since the Bitcoin.

Do you consider this exchange to be safe for deposit and trade? There is absolute zero volume for all coins there.
