Title: Re: Who is Satoshi Nakamoto? A New Journey and Candidate [Great Read for All]
Post by: podpaymentcoin on April 27, 2019, 08:45:07 PM
Q: Why all the research?
A: Understanding the history and origins of cryptography, e-cash, cryptocurrency and Bitcoin was an interesting journey that spanned over 20 years. Finding the details and information of the key players that made 'Today' and the 'Tomorrow' possible was invaluable. Often one must understand the past to build the future.

Q: Why are you searching for Satoshi Nakamoto?
A: Contrary to mainstream information available, Satoshis exit from Bitcoin was not planned or scheduled. Anyone who has read the detailed posts, actions and timelines would conclude that it was unexpected and abrupt. The only way to know Satoshi was 'safe' and 'ok' was to find him. Anyone involved in the world of activism would understand this.

Q: What value does your information have?
A: As Bitcoin grew in the early years, the main world governments tried to track down who was behind Bitcoin. The reason is simple, most governments wanted to know if the creation was by a friend or foe. Western governments distrust China/Russia and vice versa. Our findings finally show the creation was not via any government agency, or anarchist criminal group but simply a very smart academic with financial transformation goals.

A: It is very easy to fake digital information. However it is very hard to fake and manipulate timelines. Findings provide additional information to stop any faketoshi claiming Bitcoin. Select [faketoshi candidate]. Find out what/where they were on Monday 12 Jan 2009. Verify they were not able to receive incoming connections. Rule out [faketoshi candidate]. Apply for the other criterias listed and you would be amazed how few names remain on any list!

This is great read, I also was trying to match his text to others in this forum, I think I got a hint of who his/her new smurf is, One thing is for sure, when the bitcoins move from the whale wallets and buy anything, We will all know for sure, or when he/she has the balls to stand up and not live in fear and explain to the people why they created this. The bankers live in fear not us. This person needs to get a nobel prize. I think everyone on this forum would die for Satoshi, Well I would that is for sure.

It is intriguing and all of us is really curious about the real identity of Satoshi Nakamoto. This details and speculation about him is great. I am wondering why Satoshi had been inactive for a long time. Could it be that the creator of bitcoin is already dead?

He surely did a great job hiding his identity. I guess it is really best to let him be anonymous since he doesn't really intend to reveal himself.

for all we know this could be the NSA/CIA and FED`S exit strategy, let`s be real who would be thinking about money? BANKERS, I think it is best for them to reveal themselves. Although I truly believe it was a person who saw a problem with the system and attempted to fix it and they are the greatest whitehat of all time. Now there is new blood creating even better ideas, anyways Satoshi whether it is government or not is cool.

With all of that ideas that Satoshi had why would he bother to leave a trace to his real identity if he already knows what will be going to happen to him if he got caught. Even Chinese people who have had great power and talents tend to hide their identity since they don't really trust the public and the government.

I like how these guys tried their best to find the real Satoshi but unfortunately, Satoshi already thinks that way that's why we can't locate him no matter what we do.

Really great research and really professional presentation. I totally agree with what you’ve researched and maybe I can add to the major research that you’ve done. A few things that might help you in your research would be :
1. Satoshi definitely knew his coding etc, but he also knew economics and how money works, eg, why set a pre - determined amount of bitcoin ?
2. He must have been a member of the p2p foundation under possibly his real name but probably a pseudonym before he registered again as Satoshi Nakamoto.
There are only 1016 members of the p2p foundation and a lot less before he registered under Satoshi , so if you search through these names and apply all your filters you may be in luck .
I’ve tried and my head hurts !!!!!!
Hope this helps in your search and good luck

Nothing surprising here. Hackers are able to hack millions from exchanges anonymously without any sort of trace from a long period of time. Did you really think that the creator of Bitcoin would be easy to locate in comparison?

Satoshi is probably still alive in my opinion and he/she must be laughing their asses off reading these articles while chilling somewhere in the Bahamas.

Thanks 👍 Satoshi linked many fields including game theory/maths, economics, cryptography, and p2p dynamics. From 2004 onwards, Satoshi was already clued up and an expert in privacy so no clues in the p2p foundation profile. However the most interesting thing was where Satoshi announced and made his initial Bitcoin announcements including p2p foundation.

Satoshi did not leave a trace to his real identity on purpose. If you think about it this way. No matter what field you work in or master, at one point in time you are a beginner and novice. This includes Satoshi. Everyone starts somewhere, learns, makes mistakes, learns some more until they are proficient and become a subject matter expert over years. It is those early years well before Bitcoin that the most important clues were found. Also the search was not easy, if you look at the list of names on the first slide, it highlights only a small fragment of research that has been undertaken. The slides are just a summary and a background to some of the history and facts discovered.

You surely worked very hard finding him still can't say anything without proper verification but if this thing is real yes you will be the first to find out him. but still, his intentions are not clear like why did he left the project and did something happens to him? btw you said you can explain his leaving cause, care to tell us?

We've all known Vitalik Buterin the creator of Ethereum and his creation is on the 2nd place for the long time already but no bad things happen to him yet but we don't know what if in the future ETH take place the number one spot when it comes to the most valuable crypto and those greedy businessman place their bets to him or even control him. I think Satoshi is too smart to reveal his real identity to the masses because he already thought before that Bitcoin will be the future of digital payment.

The one difference between our research and the others that have taken place over the years is that we used the information to lead us to a person. Not the other way round like the usual suspects. What this means is that the person it led us to fits a lot of the observations with data that has been available publicly. And the other findings explains some of the other mysteries.

Satoshi himself alludes to the fact that he had been working on Bitcoin since 2007 (slide 9). If you visit his profile on this forum and read all his posts and check his code comits, you will see active commentary on lots to do and active ideas for development. There was no suggestion of slowing down or quitting the project.

The sudden nature with the Bitcoin link to Wikileaks donation is the clear event that led to expedited disappearance. It is easy to forget how big an event Wikileaks was for major government intelligence bodies and so anything linked to it would have bought unwanted scrutiny from global intelligence services etc.

From slide 4, it is clears the holdings value at the time of leaving was small change. Note that $215,600 would have been the theoretical maximum if he wanted to cash out. Due to the illiquid nature of the markets in December 2010, the real cash-out value would have been a fraction of that.

So why did he leave? Based on the candidate it lead us to, pre-Bitcoin there was political-activism related links to a G20 country. Normally this would not seem a major concern, but having researched more into the global treatment of activists it is a major reason to leave the Bitcoin project while intelligence eyes fell on Bitcoin (due to the Wikileaks link). Think about what happened to Jamal Khashoggi in a well publicised recent case. Then ask yourself about the risks of activism for unknown personnel etc.

The good news is that the person it lead us to, seems a normal smart person. They even seemed to have a job for 2 years between 2011-13. So Satoshi definitely fits the good guy / legend definition.

So in summary, from our findings Satoshi left Bitcoin because of the risk of his identity being compromised for pre-Bitcoin activism activities. We got the feeling, his original plan was to develop Bitcoin within a small community and controlled increments. And he would have continued were it not for the sudden attention due to Wikileaks event.

See previous response for the reason for leaving the project with identity still anonymous. Also it is worth noting that the flow of time allows for major changes in public and governmental attitudes. When Satoshi started working on Bitcoin e-Cash was still a very sensitive area with high risk of prosecution / legal grey areas / central point of shut-down. By the time Ethereum arrived the landscape had changed considerably. The first generation of pioneers usually shoulder all the risks for change.

It would have been nice to get this attention in any other context.  WikiLeaks has kicked the hornet's nest, and the swarm is headed towards us.

I think that is a suggestion of slowing down or leaving the project or at least becoming anon.

Well guess what Satoshi I am here punching that hornets nest in the face, I am still here and even if they kill me, your blockchain has taught me a lot about the after life and my current life (I know I cannot hide anything). My father had a heart attack and my aunt just died of cancer, she went to the other side for 12 hours and my father for 3 before they were brought back to life. They both have the same story not knowing each others story. You will remember everything. The Creator has a very stern male voice, weird coming from my Aunt she was a girl power type. anyways though both said they remember every life they had every single last breath they took, but the Creator told them they were not finished here. A week later she died again for good. My father still is here I guess he has not fulfilled his purpose.

Let time will tell who Satoshi Nakamoto is. I think we cannot find who is he because he still moves in many places and doing his project with his friends.
I am sure that in one day, he will reveal himself to the public or at least, he will show that he still exists and alive in somewhere place.
We cannot force him to comes out of his place because we don't know where he lived.
I think he will continue to fix any problem related to the bitcoin project by secretly without anyone knows.

Ok, so all the circumstantial evidence point to Satoshi Nakamoto being a UK citizen. <MI5 possibly...  ;D ;D ;D>  I think it might be possible for Satoshi to be a migrant worker from another country that worked in the UK. This explains the language that are not clearly identified. There are many talented immigrant software developers working in foreign countries, so this might be one of the reasons why the puzzle is not fitting into place to identify Satoshi Nakamoto.

I did not know that people were spending this much time to hunt down the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto. <Scary stuff>  :o

The larger texts were a bit hard to read with that font against that background, but I really do have to commend you.
It's not often that a story like this ends without naming anyone, purely for ethical reasons.

That's what I find most distasteful about most of these hunts for Satoshi's identity.
He clearly wanted to remain anonymous and I personally feel that should be respected.

So, kudos for turning this into an interesting story, without actually naming him!

It's Satoshi's choice to keep his identity in private and we can't do anything but to respect it. He launched the most profitable coin of all time so digging too much about his personal life I think is too much. Let's just stop searching for the real Satoshi because there will be people who will just claim that they're Satoshi. Let him reveal the true him in time.

He may not reveal himself and other who knows him may reveal his identity in the future in case Satoshi is a group of people instead of just a single person.
No one is forcing him to come out, most people who are curious about him are trying to reveal who is he by doing some researches based on many things that may relate to him.

Satoshi is keeping quiet because he lost his private keys and is plenty embarrassed to admit it.

So now he is just like the rest of us with 1or 2 coin in the Iphone wallet.

Fun OP btw

One of the first things to do in such situation = trace the money. Who paid for Bitcoin.org registration in 2008?
Visa/Mastercard must keep records for a very long time.

Thanks. Have uploaded a higher resolution PDF that also contains links to the source material so worth a re-read.

The document is really a mixture of history, detailed research on crypto related topics and the future.

An additional point to take onboard is that a lot of information and findings have been left out on purpose (and the ethics of no-doxing).

One day if and when Satoshi decides to reveal himself or otherwise, we can rely on slide 36 to proof we found out first!

Hi, this was indeed a strand of research. However as you will see on slide 9, in the enhanced Bitcoin timeline, the domain Bitcoin.org registered via Anonymousspeech.com (Japan). Hence no credit card or paper trail! There were no hot leads during the period 2006-2010 (only earlier).

it seems like Satoshi Nakamoto really didn't want to be found. if indeed he still save lots of BTC in his wallet if I become him, I will choose to remain silent and enjoy the results that I have done. Satoshi Nakamoto did not want to expose his identity. I think he was afraid of the safety of himself and his family. it's like a superhero story that changes the world.

That's some vital information right up there @OP but i doubt all these searches are going to yield any results. Satoshi really covered his tracks with regards to his identity, maybe in the future there might be a change of mind so that he reveals himself but i doubt he would ever do that looking at the misconceptions surrounding bitcoin and its adoption at the moment. Do you think he is ready for all those series of press news that would be thrown at his door steps every now and then? I doubt he would, think again people and let Satoshi have some rest.

Hahaha yeah, I agree with you. It's better to remain silent and enjoy the money we have than to show ourselves to the public. The public will ask us with so many questions and that will make us busy, and we cannot enjoy our time. I don't think Satoshi Nakamoto will come out to the public, but I guess that he/she/they were watching us for a long time ago.

This is very interesting. From what I've understand in this findings, Satoshi is a real person with authority. I mean, how is he able to muster so much time to build Bitcoin? The article itself said that he might have access to a cutting-edge technology. He is probably a government worker. Also, someone is trying to help him hide his true identity.

Why do you think your statement is true? What proof you have? This wild goose hunt is ongoing for quite a long time now and people are coming up with all type of stupid things.

If you have a proof to support your statement, please post that!

Just chill and wait for the revelation of the real Satoshi Nakamoto. It has a great effect if he reveals him/herself but that's not an issue now. We must focus on how we should make blockchain as a center of our technology now. Our community is big but don't have any innovative research about the current technology. If I have the ability to build something, me as a member of this bitcoin community, I will help to develop the blockchain because it's the future of modern technology. Don't focus on Satoshi Nakamoto, I think he will not show his/her true identity.

This is a lengthy publication worth an  appraisal I must say.. But I think focusing so much time on the bitcoin founder whereabouts is a waste of time... Knowing a bit of history is cool but I believe the community should be more focused on how to improve the architecture and usecase of the bitcoin than engaging in hear say and rumour mongering regarding the founder Satoshi..

Thats true, because we dont know if who is Satoshi until now. So we just do is continue invest in bitcoin. We believe that times come Satoshi will introduce herself to all. Because of hiding his personality maybe he have more plans regarding to the bitcoin.

He may not reveal himself and other who knows him may reveal his identity in the future in case Satoshi is a group of people instead of just a single person.
No one is forcing him to come out, most people who are curious about him are trying to reveal who is he by doing some researches based on many things that may relate to him.

Much of the crypto enthusiasts are looking to expose the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto but have you every though about the consequences. There are peoples who might not actually love the concept for bitcoins and same goes with the one who invented bitcoins so there would also be some hater about him.

This is always better to keep his identity much enclosed because we really do not need to know it right? There is no need for us to go for it behind who it really is. There are chances when the one named "Satoshi" would himself come in front of the community when he really gets that old. Until then, the secret behind Satoshi Nakamoto is always a mystery even if there are a lot of predictions.

I do not really think if he comes back and reveals his identity, he would take back the reigns of the blockchain network. Satoshi has already contributed a lot towards the growth of the cryptocurrencies and now even if he reveals his identity, there would be a number of huge firms which would hire him to work for their firm. Peoples like him with such extra talent are rarely seen and I individually respect satoshi whoever he/she might be. There would a ample of respect owned by him/her until the death of the cryptocurrencies. Times will come when bitcoins would be on the highest peak and it would really be much good for bitcoins that time if satoshi reveals his identity at the peak.

LMAO he has over 50 million bitcoins he can sell (70 or so chains and each 1.1million is his). Just with the BTC holdings he is Billionaire.

In case someone has not noticed there is a multi billion dollar law suite happening right now.

Satoshi Nakamoto will remain to be one of the most fascinating mysteries ever...and people especially those in the world of cryptocurrency will continue to speculate as to who can be the real Satoshi and the many mysterious surrounding his continuous absence from the scene. A lot are speculating that maybe he can already be dead but a lot are also hoping that he is just hiding somewhere and that one day he will resurface and be the figure leader of the Bitcoin movement. As of now, let's just be content and respect his own decision to stay silent (that is if nothing untoward happened to him).

Thanks. The person we found was a normal person; very smart and talented. They were definitely not of any government or intelligence related background. More academia hence availability of time and access to wide array of knowledge and toolsets to develop Bitcoin.

Some of the findings have been withheld as the document outlines we have no interest in dox-ing Satoshi. We could publish the UK town and more detailed info on his background - however this would only narrow the field of search for other parties that may not have best interests at heart. The document was published to provide some history on Bitcoin, prove that Satoshi Nakamoto was a single person of UK origin and more importantly highlight that origin related code exists that could be of use to the crypto community today in 2019! We will add more information regarding this latter point in the coming days.

Leave the creator of Bitcoin alone. Respect his decision. He disappeared not to be sought. If Satoshi wants, then he will seem. It would be better for everyone if the personality of Nakamoto remains unknown forever.

This is very sad that we will never be able to know who was  Satoshi Nakamoto ?
If he is alive he should show or reveal himself / Herself in public.  Recently many people or whales like Criag white etc claim falsely that they are  Satoshi Nakamoto. Since the real  Satoshi is unknown any famous person can claim to be him and become famous in media for sometime.

But I am still happy that they have revealed that Satoshi Nakamoto is a British Asian, Science Alumni and was born in 1975. So in my opinion, Satoshi Nakamoto is still alive but I am wondering why he/she didn't reveal himself until now. Is it part of his/her plan, to make sure that the price of bitcoin will continue to rise. I will be looking forward to the future details and hoping that we can have his/her picture and real identity.

Thanks for the feedback and glad you enjoyed the read. Satoshi is still alive and his reason for staying anonymous is to do purely with safety (pre-Bitcoin). So it is very unlikely he will reveal his identity anytime soon. Also based on the research Satoshi did exactly as he stated and moved on to bigger things and has not touched Bitcoin since 2011. Some interesting follow-up info (not identity related) is being researched which may yield some valuable information for the community.

Our detailed research led us to a 'new Satoshi candidate' that meets all the known public criterias and some findings that have been kept private. Based on this information the candidate is definitely alive. Also the person is not someone that has been named or mentioned on these forums before.

That is a perfectly reasonable position. As you can see, we did not reveal any name from our findings. A lot of people state why so much research into Satoshi? Well part history and part trying to find the missing pieces of the puzzle.

Would you be interested if the search revealed unpublished code and ideas that were never made public that could take cryptocurrency forward towards mainstream adoption? And accomplish the goals of the original whitepaper. To do all that you need to find Satoshi first and then discover the more important information.

Well, so far, no one can ascertain of the man named Satoshi Nakamoto is still alive somewhere just hiding underground or maybe if he already dead and therefore has no more chance to interact with us in anyway except if he can send us his ghost (kidding!). Maybe the assumption that Satoshi is still alive is just because nobody can gauged that he is already dead. Me, am looking forward for the time when someone can touch and move some of the bitcoin that the man owned.

Spending time to understand the history of cryptography, e-cash and ultimately Bitcoin is not a waste of time at all. All the interesting challenges and developments took place during the origin phase. In-fact all the future goals and where crypto needs to go was defined too. Nothing has changed and any information that helps reach the goals of the original whitepaper are of immense value to the whole community.

Would you be interested if the search revealed unpublished code and ideas that were never made public that could take cryptocurrency forward towards mainstream adoption? And accomplish the goals of the original whitepaper. To do all that you need to find Satoshi first and then discover the more important information.

In the research there is one interesting clue from 1'st bitcoin source code: "the world needs an online marketplace that does not have a central administrative or corporate point of attack..."

So, there is one crypto-project, which exactly aims the above Satoshi's clue: litemint.com with it's upcoming decentralized marketplace.

Episode 1 - Cryptography -> Early Cyberphunks
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Episode 2 - Satoshi Nakamato -> Bitcoin -> Disappearance
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Episode 3 - Pirate Invasion and Scamsters
Episode 4 - Cryptocurrency adoption
Episode 5 - Banking takeover
Episode 6 - ?? who knows ??

All we can share is that Satoshi was only ever involved in Episode 2. Any big revolution brings all sorts of players to the table!

The extra details in the original Bitcoin v0.1 source code were some of the more interesting clues. Note the decentralised marketplace in-addition to the poker code! PM as there are lots of options for taking the decentralised marketplace roadmap forwards.

Went through this research and well, and TS just another Satoshi thread. Various person has laidclaim to him and couldn't stand up to it. Let's leave the issue of knowing or tracing who he is and let's work on what he has given unto us- the bitcoin blockchain. That our gain. Bitcoin is presently at a high price. Let's enjoy that and leave Satoshi alone.

That is a lot of ways and solutions to find Satoshi and in the end, we can't still say who he really is. Does it matter who really Satoshi Nakamoto is? No, then why are people still on the hunt? Even if that is really his Citizenship, we don't know 100% if that is really him, as others say, he might be an immigrant and we might be mislead by another article.

Well, if we don't really have a solid basis then I think the journey are not really SOLVED. Keep it up. Great research but I will appreciate it when you show evidence not just illustrations from what you observed.

I think that creating an artificial agiotage around the name Satoshi Nakamoto, many users of cryptocurrency are not beginning to adequately perceive and act inadequately due to the fault of such information.  People have been somewhat suspicious of late and are reacting to any positive or negative news precisely so that the consequences on the cryptocurrency market we have been raking for months.

Title: Re: Who is Satoshi Nakamoto? A New Journey and Candidate [Great Read for All]
Post by: slomski007 on October 30, 2019, 02:52:57 PM

Actually this is a great analysis and research done by op i guess? But no matter how we tried looking for the real Satoshi, we still cannot confirm it. There's always a missing link that can connect every pieces to find the real Satoshi.
Let's not underestimate Satoshi's capability. If he were able to create bitcoin, he's capable of hiding his identity without no one knowing it. It just mean that he really wanted to to keep his identity as a secret from the public. So let's just respect it. And wait if he'll possibly reveal himself

Satoshi Nakamoto did not just vanish all of a sudden. In his posts, he was clearly hinting that he will not be around for so long. He is saying that to the public and so people have already the idea that Satoshi is going to vanish in the coming days. In fact, Satoshi even prepared everything for his demise. He entrusted everything he left to the right people.

Excellent analysis and details related to the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto in the OP. I really like the detailed information,
although at the end this was only speculation. But I appreciate the explanation, it is always a consumption interesting public
about the identity of satoshi nakamoto. Actually not a problem for Satoshi Nakamoto for as long become a mystery, the problem
is too many people are curious about the identity of satoshi nakamoto. Then from that news or the discussion about satoshi nakamoto
will never stop.

Damn that's some beautiful, interesting and clear infographics. But honestly i would prefer that that question about Identity of Satoshi would never be solved. If he wanted to be found he would said so and it's not like it would paramount to find him. But at the same time i understand the fascination that probably grows to be one of the biggest mysteries in the world. I just hope that he won't get in this treasure hunt.

Here's an outline of the kind of escrow transaction that's possible in software.  This is not implemented and I probably won't have time to implement it soon, but just to let you know what's possible.

No, don't "bring it on".

The project needs to grow gradually so the software can be strengthened along the way.

I make this appeal to WikiLeaks not to try to use Bitcoin.  Bitcoin is a small beta community in its infancy.  You would not stand to get more than pocket change, and the heat you would bring would likely destroy us at this stage.

So in August, Satoshi is sharing ideas on how escrow transactions can be supported and to be implemented later. Then 3 months later its game-over "No, don't bring it on.!".

Woah some people are really putting up a lot of effort just to reveal Satoshi's true identity.
But I really wonder if there would be someone who could do it and if they could would Satoshi stillbe alive at that time?
10 years has past since Bitcoin started many things had happened and we don't know if Satoshi is still alive or healthy right now.
And could we really reveal Satoshi's real identity ? Satoshi is a genius who have created Bitcoin so I think he also have a great talent in clearing all of the things that could trace him.

Some people need to do that in order for them to gain popularity for people especially if they have some project, so they will do everything for them to raise fund easily and quickly, they are deceiving the minds of people saying that they are the real Satoshi. Funny, but, actually there's a person saying that he's the co-founder of Bitcoin.

That is very interesting, but something has always bugged me about Satoshi — how can a single person, no matter their skill and knowledge — be so anonymous so completely? Everyone has been hunting him down for over a decade, and yet no one has the answer to the question of who he is. Nothing on the internet is ever lost or destroyed completely, right? So how did he pull it off?

Wrong, domain Bitcoin.org was paid for with credit card in 2008 (no other option available). Credit card transactions must be kept for 25 years, by law.

Governement making law and you have nothing to say, dont think you know everything please, I can show every proof , I used unique computer files for make the first private key using serialisation and encrypting it , I was modifying  exe files and changing ther processus, I redirect pictures to be used as .exe  \systemroot , I was using every protection,  every files can be a wallet. Like counter strike.exe can be bitcoin core  and be used from pictures for to be launch and serialise wallet.dat to be used nonexistent, they hacked my computer in 2011 when I forget but I encrypted everything with Truecrypt used for encrypt nuclear bomb keys.
When you understand manipulation of the world at age 5 and understand they are going to make new world order for manipulate world making 1 world governement and 1 money worldwide , you know god can give you power to change the world.

When I come home afther we drink with my brother and talked about how destroy government I said my mom , dont worry mom I'm going to change the world and I protected myself and bitcoin and encrypted everything for no one have access only me.

I dont care about ther paper money or there manipulation for make people drink so they can destroy and make crazy kids who want to destroy world manipulation, in school I was asking teacher about world and how change it, they was saying no one can change it just live your life no one tell me to do this no one believed, it was to hard I cry every day about what was happening,  I'm not the kind of guy to go tell everyone about what I was doing , I was humble and all my life I helped people.
My objective was to help futur generation and change the world we was living in.

I make myself forget on purpose for protect me and all my family but some people told me to get back my old computer 1 month aggo and I started with post in btc talk , they asked me if I got somoene who was satoshi in my family, I started understand and I start to remember everything I'm back for something,  my computer survived fire in my chamber in 2012 and I got it from 2005 .

Somoene want me to comeback for continue what I started when they told me I was satoshi I dsnt even believe it first, but when i remembered codding my first game in 2005 i understand and I'm trying hardly to remember everything, i think they killed Hal finney on purpose he was my good friends.

I can understand you guys want to know Satoshi but remember this is a guy like you who codded all his life and wanted to change life he live in , manipulated by governement and money he preferred change life and forget because he was going to die because alcohol.
My wife helped me alot she dsnt even care if I get my bitcoin back she love me.
Guys you need to help bitcoin to be strong help me and make bitcoin network strong.
They say you are crazy when you dont fit in ther manipulated system .

Aswel I did protection for robbing if somoene rob my computer he was going to encrypt completely computer,  when I get back my computer I stopped it.

It's easy to judge "Satoshi" when you dont know my life I was in need to live 2 different life because no one believe me aswel my family i got only my brother to talk about this while drunk.
I remember my little brother coming my chamber before playing bad company 2 and told me .
"Brother what you do with this paper ?"
Bro I'm putting money in paper later this will cost alot.
He was 8 and told me " what the fuck u doing put this money in bank " lol

The sister of my wife know everything about bitcoin creation,  I explained her everything and how I did it because I know she should forget in 2011 but she told me everything back 4 days ago she said you was talking with realy hard word but she told me in general you was satoshi.

I was forced to start work cause no money in home for food, my mom was crying so I decided to work for help my family and protect and forget everything for 10 years, I dont care about money but this system manipulate you for have it and live life, this is not how I see money and futur of the world you cannot privatise somoene because he dsnt respect governement rules this is how you keep people stupid.

We was poor as fuck and dont have even money for buy windows I was in need to crack everything! From the start of my life I hate this system we need to change this for no one got the life i got when i was kids! DO IT PROTECT BITCOIN NETWORK

We need biggest bitcoin mining farm using quantum computer and dont let governement taking it.

he make his brain the biggest weapon against world governement because he was the only one.
If he created bitcoin to fight against all the government then you are wrong, he was not interested in the wikileaks foundation and he was even warning them to stop using bitcoin and once that exploded the just left and project and vanished, wiki leaks was fighting against the government by giving out facts and corruptions but Satoshi was not interested in any of those, so the idea of Satoshi fighting against the government is just bullshit :P.

You think central bank is not part of governement? All was planned and studied you think you come and start project without futur of the project and what he is going to do ? Come on man be humble please every governement research Satoshi Nakamoto for 10 years and they hacked all of my emails adresse, they was in my private email adresse created from 2002 and when I get it back one month ago one chinese guy was inside the day I got back my account they tried to delete all my pass and rob my computer.

There is one proof of using exploitation in cpickled using python for serialisation. before I transfert funds to Hal Finney, because I wanted no proof.

All of us wants to know who really is Satoshi Nakamoto, if he is a only one person or a group of person. Their are many speculations that Satoshi Nakmoto is a group of people who are developing the bitcoin and etc.
You're wondering why Satoshi Nakamoto is inactive for a long time? Then maybe put your feet on his shoe for you to know, maybe the reason behind this is because of the security, if people finds out who really Nakamoto is then they maybe tried to get him in order to develop more and more bitcoin, or maybe the government will try to get him in order to develop the new digital currency that time.
It is good that Nakamoto hide his/her identity until now and maybe he/she don't have any plans to reveal his/her through identity but still, thank you for developing this kind of cryptocurrency it really helps us so much.

I was quite sure that it's just another thread with all those historic mails and checkpoints.
At the end of the day, the question will remain the same - Who is Satoshi ?
I think instead of wasting our time finding Satoshi we can use that time to spread awareness about bitcoin.
May be some day when bitcoin is globally accepted, Satoshi would reveal himself.

I know I was the only one to get power to be strong against fiat money system and be strong to forget bitcoin for 10 years, I did it on purpose.
I dont care right now i remember what i did but I'm still living my life for now and trying to decrypt my wallet and checking every day for decrypt it but I'm fine,  this 10 years learn me how people are for money and give me a good break against governement and system and banks thinking,  I give everything I got before leaving when everything was successful, I make it open source because I know there will be people for help to develop it.
I needed this break if some people think I leave them alone that's not true I give everything I have and nothing to give more, when I saw I was going to bad in real life, I know I needed to stop and change life for 10 years i planned it to 20 000$ in 10 years and now I'm planning it to 10 000 000$ in 10 years maximum against fiat value but we are going to have big change in world system.

I'm not here for proving I'm satoshi or trying to explain you my success, I want you to understand what I did not what I have please do it just think about it.
I'm just here for telling you I'm back and I will never sell any bitcoin hold from 2009 and keep making bitcoin network strong more then ever, i already told you what bitcoin need : strongest quantum bitcoin network

Thank you

Satoshi ever liked helping people and using credit card some years ago it was easy to hide everything, you was able to pay with phone anonymously and your phone number was not registered with your real name, aswel website like paypal dsnt even need your real name and there was not 2FA or any other security like now, hacking exploiting was more easy and making bc was pretty easy for me , Hal finney writed some paper for me.

If you understand carrefuly what I did , you can understand the Real satoshi is who dsnt give his real name , I hope you can understand.

99% peoples think about his bitcoin because you guys only see money and cant understand how and why I did this, you dont understand if bitcoin was not created we was going to get more slave against system of the central banks and they can make crisis when ever they want, you need to wake up and see more far away then only bitcoin holding by satoshi, he is the only one to recover his bitcoin governement and no one can do anything against this, every files .exe and .jpg are codded and encrypted and I was using exploitation of every software for make what I wanted so just focus on bitcoin revolution against banks system and governement.
If somoene want to hack my files he probably need my brain and I dsnt even remember correctly everything, I protected bitcoin against everyone and make everything automatic in launch of windows xp.

I hope so, @theymos knows the real Satoshi Nakamoto. As for Craig Wright, there are more doubts and more questions to ask. He has to proved he has access to Satoshi's wallet or even made 1 transfers just to clear the doubt. There are many contenders claiming the throne, hope the real one stands up in the future.

Please can we keep this a serious thread  :) The research published is just a summary. Too many people are easily duped by Bitcoin related information. Always do your own research. We did not find our Satoshi candidate by researching just the usual candidates, it was a deep dive into a whose who of crypto. And for those who read the published document, you will know why the missing pieces are more important to the success of crypto than Satoshis identity.

Struggle with the Australian Tax Office (ATO) dates back to 2009
https://medium.com/@Bitcoin_Beyond/forensic-report-raises-questions-about-australian-tax-offices-handling-of-craig-wright-probe-138843251ef5
The document details that Wright “purportedly sold [his] personal intellectual property to Information Defense and Integyrs”, two of Wright’s companies.

Still people never conclude that Craig wright is the correct person. If that is true simply he can be access the account of Satoshi in this forum and share with us.
Most probably theymos might know who is Satoshi since is being a admin for long term.
Articles will not define and show to correct person bro.
Craig wright I think he is not real Satoshi Nakamoto and still confused for bitcointalk member to know who is real Satshi Nakamoto, Do you know how much important with real Satoshi Nakamoto and if he still live how much bitcoin assets have? I think hard looking for which one real Satoshi Nakamoto because he keep hidden he self and make many people claim their self become real Satoshi Nakamoto.
there is no clear evidence that Craig Wright is Satoshi because now some people consider him to be Satoshi and the fact that he is not a real person. I think the original Satoshi Nakamoto has hundreds or millions of BTC in his wallet and if he is still alive of course he prefers to live in peace with his assets. do not easily believe because to date many people claim himself to be Satoshi just to be admired by many people.

It's impossible to have real life name of satoshi I was using reshacker and 5 vpn + 3 anti virus and I never talk about my real life identity,
The only one girls who know who I'm is the sister of my wife and my family, I tell them from  age 6 I was going to change the system governement and banks, in 2007 started coding,  start test 2009 with serialisation and securing network then leave finish of 2010 , begin of 2011 because I wanted to have little break in my fight against world change and governement, I was using retro ingenerie program at age 10 like whiresharck, reshacker, zen code, why no one understand I'm telling you I'm the real one, I was using telepathy for talk in 2009 , usuall people are using 12% of ther brain power , mine Is using 50 60% because i trained it to be able to, I started bitcoin for destroy government banks and system and it will succeed,  we need freedom against evils, they think they can manipulate world every day how much times more? When I start the progress of what I started you will never believe what is happening, this was only the begining and I was kids now I'm no more kids and i will read everything about what changed in ther programs then i will counter it again,  already i told you we need big bitcoin network quantum.
They are still trying to hack my files, good luck, no one files in my windows xp was what he was looking.

Yes kids can change world and stop thinking all people will follow your rules I'm talking to bad governement guy.

You guys need to becarful of what you listen in internet, governement have technology for give you what they want just with listening sounds.

""A study by MIT researchers shows that exposing patients to flashing light and pulsing sounds could reverse Alzheimer's symptoms, reports Angus Chen for Scientific American. “This is the first time we've seen that this noninvasive stimulation can improve cognitive function,” says Prof. Li-Huei Tsai.""

Satoshi dsnt choice to forget this but somoene forced him and Hal, he know about this so he used encryption of his entire computer with Truecrypt and make anti robbing system encryption in case somoene rob his computer.

I don’t understand why you need to find out who Satoshi is? It will be better for the whole industry if its figure remains a mystery and a certain symbol of idealism and a new era. Most likely Satoshi is simply no longer alive and it’s pointless to discuss his personality
Like you said, there is no point in trying to find who does not want to be found, and it was never even in the plan of satoshi that his whereabouts should become a puzzle that we all should be looking for, what he just want from us is to embrace the system he has created to free us from some of the bondage that we have put our self in trying to get our money across to various place we want to get it to with stress, and that is why he used the system to create a peer to peer program.

Unfortunately, aside the headache many people give themselves in looking for satoshi, one more thing that I have found out is that many of them still take bitcoin as digital asset more, and they just want it to keep doubling their money without the willingness to spend it.

Wrong, you dont copyright things if you intend to not enforce it one day. You can maintain a copyright anonymously but not enforce it.

Great and insightful investigative write-up there. But after all said and done, Satoshi Nakamoto is still an enigma, a phantom and unless he decides to give himself up, I doubt if anyone or group of people can crack his ID blackout. I, for one, do hope that his identity remains hidden...it'll be one of the unsolved secrets of our time.

Yes satoshi nakamoto identity is still unanimous and no one can know who he is. And there's is no clue who is satoshi nakamoto and where he come from and  what his nationality. Still unknown many are assuming that he is satoshi nakamoto but only i know still not know who he is.

His identity was very private because there are some important things that he need to keep especially from the bitcoin he has to maintain his security from a person who have interest on his bitcoin.

Doubt or not there always been a possibility that Satoshi is either a group of people or a single man. Finding this guy? Just like his own creation
its anonymous and theres no way on identifying this guy which we had been doing all over the years and lots already claiming to be satoshi but
all of them are fake ones. Lets hope that someday he would decide up to show  himself to the cryptocommunity that he had built up.

Doubt that someone will find Satoshi, I already'm beginning to doubt that this at all one man.

If you read our research you will see that we believe we found Satoshi. Contrary to a lot of the mis-information on the web, the majority of the evidence points to Bitcoin being developed by just one person. This does not mean Satoshi created all the underlying technology but pieced together the working solution himself. This was the genius. With hindsight it all seems obvious but the reality is that he solved the double spend problem which had challenged the brightest minds for over 20 years!

The other reason it is just one person is that the best way to keep a secret is to be the only one in on it. The more people involved the greater the risk of knowledge leak. And in that case the weakest link in the group could become vulnerable especially given the vast amounts of money on the line. This was backed up by other intel sources during the detailed investigation.

We left out a lot of information in the document for a variety of reasons but we'll publish some facts that you will not find anywhere else over time. For starters:

Q: When was the search term 'Bitcoin' performed on a search engine / domain registrar around the years of Bitcoin formation?
A: June 2006 from Denmark (location can be ignored due to VPNs/TOR etc). This was a full year before coding started in 2007,  and two years before Bitcoin.org was registered. This suggests the name Bitcoin was not a 100% certainty and decided very close to the registration of domain as the draft white paper circulated was missing reference to Bitcoin too.

In any case, any statements regarding who created Bitcoin and who is Satoshi Nakamoto in general is nothing more than an assumption.  If at least someone provided some evidence that would not be subject to doubt, then from these data one could start from something and assume or predict something.  But since in reality there is no real and truthful source that would not cause doubts, all the stories about the creator of Bitcoin will be just a myth.  It can be assumed that a group of people worked on the blockchain and Bitcoin, and not just one person.  Nobody can refute this either.

Thanks for solving the Satoshi Nakamoto problem seen in the crypto space but how will this information help with the adoption of Bitcoin into the mainstream of the financial ecosystem. The identity of Satoshi Nakamoto is not really relevant to the crypto ecosystem and its not gonna bring any improvement into the crypto space. I don't really get it when people waste time trying to find the identity of Satoshi..

Thanks for solving the Satoshi Nakamoto problem seen in the crypto space but how will this information help with the adoption of Bitcoin into the mainstream of the financial ecosystem.

Thank you for asking this question. This is one of the key reasons for our original analysis. Our findings and evaluation of the data lead to a different conclusion to most of the published information to date.

There is strong evidence that Satoshi had multiple Bitcoin code repositories with prototype development and research that never saw the light of day. This most likely includes solutioning for decentralised scaling which is the main issue most of todays cryptocurrencies fail to solve. Satoshi not only openly mentioned VISA processing limits back in 2009, but stating Bitcoin could scale beyond easily. The misconception is that most people interpreted this as the code that had been released publicly. His confidence was most likely related to his prototype code that was grid tested for scalability offline. It is unknown why the offline code repository and research was never shared wider but finding it would definitely help the adoption of Bitcoin into the mainstream. So our goals are perfectly in sync with the wider crypto community.

What proof of offline development exists?

- The version of Bitcoin that Satoshi mined the genesis block and his coins was different to the public release (based on chain archaeology and environment Satoshi had access to).
- The original code base included marketplace and poker code. This points to wider functional development that was never made public. He also indirectly mentioned Bitcoin running offline prior to release.
- Satoshi clearly states Bitcoin can scale beyond VISA processing capability several times. This means he solutioned and tested some prototype to have such confidence.

The main reason crypto has shifted from whitepaper eCash towards store of value goes back to the fundamental issue of decentralized scalability. Finding the unpublished code and research will help answer and resolve everything.

Are you a Bitcoin and Satoshi expert too? Could you recognise un-published writings by Satoshi?

If so please PM as we have some further developments that could do with some extra set of eyes!

It's very interesting to see this research and what you underwent to go through this remarkable discovery. I do think though that I like the mystery behind Satoshi's anonymity and it takes it for a great story to tell our kids and grandkids as the years go by, that we were all involved in this mysterious event called the birth of Bitcoin, or Genesis as it were. If Satoshi wants to remain anonymous and not found, I think it's best to keep it that way, in respect of his desire to remain anonymous, but if ever he was to go public, then your findings would be a great testament to that.

One thing for sure, before bitcoin is implemented, people behind it surely does plan it very well. But even if we don't know Satoshi, I think it is the best for us not to know him at all, they created bitcoin for the world and now, since it is open source, everybody could have a contribution and it will work without him. As long as we continue to believe on it, we don't need to see him for us to benefit. And to avoid misleading people claiming they are satoshi in their own ways.

This is an interesting post and totally agree that there is no need for the wider public to know the identity; and this is the main reason why we did not reveal the ultimate person we found. Since publication we have been approached by multiple parties that offered monetary offers for the info which we turned down. However there is one part that we disagree with, which includes a lot of whats posted publicly - where people state that it does not matter.

Once the pieces were put together it becomes clear that a big part of the crypto-sphere do not want Satoshi/Satoshi knowledge to be found for selfish monetary reasons. This is the main reason for the crypto civil-war of the last 5 years. Not only do we think we have found Satoshi, but the place Satoshi did his development, research and mining using an organisations PCs (surprisingly most wont believe Satoshi was not rich and only owned an average spec PC himself, but had access to resources!). So we have come up with a 2020 manifesto to take crypto to the next level; as its clear no-one received Satoshis full codebase, research and notes when (including dev code for scalability and other info)!. This will only help end the Crypto civil-war and complete the original whitepaper. This will be our contribution.

I have a little discussion on time zones, as well as I am a programmer that time zones cannot be a benchmark to find where satoshi lives, we need information about how to live satoshi itself in relation to "finding sathosi when experts". This work can even make the way of life change from being nocturnal where it has a reverse habit in common people.

You do your best to find a key that leads to someone, but I don't think it's good if you keep doing it. Satoshi has decided to anonymize and in the code of ethics it is not good to do.

Nobody saw Satoshi's face even once and also nobody know even if he is only one or they are many. It is very difficult to find someone whom you dont really know. Its just like you are guessing a question but no clue. And also why are they really eager to find and to know Satoshi? Even if he is the founder of bitcoin it does not make any sense and also if he really wanted to show his face he will show it the public that's why he decided to stay hidden because there a lot of circumstances will likely to happen if he show up.

In my opinion, Satoshi Nakamoto is the person (https://cryptogeek.info/coins/bitcoin) who made a revolution in the world economy in 2009 by creating the Bitcoin. It doesn't matter if it is one person or a group of people.
No doubt he is very important person as he has brought the biggest revolution in our lives. We are not aware of anything about him. If he does not want to reveal his identity, why to go for this matter. This is simply a useless finding as the appearance of him cannot affect Bitcoin or cryptocurrency in one way or the other. There are other important factors on which users should pay attention to like its promotion.

I learned many things from this post and really appreciate you for sharing such an informative material,Satoshi Nakamot is really an idol for all who proved that if you believe in yourself and what d you want to do make difference just run-after it no matter you are alone but if you are committed and eager to reach there you will get it one day but never give up for temporary hurdles.

Now Bitcoin the creation of satoshi nakamoto created easiness for the individuals, corporate firms and investors that can use BTC for own purpose accordingly.

Your OP is fascinating. I (like everyone I guess) am too very intrigued by Satoshi's figure. Not just knowing the name (maybe that can be skipped at all), but learning all the historical stuff is really interesting. Not only seeing how Satoshi tried to (and managed to) convince people to use a revolutionary system like Bitcoin... the back and forth it all generated, all questions Satoshi was asked (and how Satoshi managed to answer them) is really educational to read.

Having said that, I'm skeptical on how you would manage to restore offline backups Satoshi might had. Legally talking, obviously. I guess you would need to go there physically (or somehow get Satoshi to share you things never shared before). If we are talking about someone who paid a domain in an untraceable way back in then, I'm 100% positive everything was wiped from any machines Satoshi ever worked in.

We created a Discord server (https://discord.gg/wA4Dkz6) to debate about Satoshi, his/her/their figure, all his/her/their research and try to learn a little more about Satoshi's figure. Research, theories, everything is accepted  :)

This topic is pure gold! Thank you OP for spending so much time for bringing all these precious links. I am also very passionate about Bitcoin and its ancestors history (you can read here my 1000th post: Bitcoin: The dream of Cypherpunks, libertarians and crypto-anarchists (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5255623.msg54620797#msg54620797); at its bottom you can find more historical writings of mine).

Obviously, your topic and your work went undermerited, as people are more interested about panem et circenses, therefore I sent you a 50 merits bomb (this being the second time I'm doing this) but not for your OP: it was for your first post in the topic, the one with all these valuable links. Another unfortunate aspect is that from all old forum members, only BitcoinFX appeared here...

I would have merited also the OP with 50 merits, but the forum allows to send only 50 merits in 30 days to a particular user. However, I believe you should change OP title a bit, as it is misleading now: "Who is Satoshi Nakamoto? Solved!". The subject is not solved...and maybe it will never be solved.

I'll come back in 30 days from now on to merit OP as well, but the "Solved" part should be changed.

Thank you once again for this very entertaining reading and for providing all these details!

The main challenge has been finding a way of doing this that does not tip off 'other interested parties' while being able to conduct any search and potential retrieval. Going down the legal route is a possibility but would require in the region of several hundred thousand dollars to even try; and potentially a million or so dollars to realistically have a chance. Once the info is out of the bag, it would be a race! To find unpublished code snippets or writings would provide insights to so many open questions and challenges, it would be like discovering new writings by N.Tesla or Einstein!

You did a good job here and reading this was really interesting, although it took a long time because it’s a very long content, but it’s very good and captivating. But still at the end of all these things I don’t know why I still feel like lol we should let this man be ;D.

He didn’t commit any crime by creating bitcoin, he did a good job and he has chosen to live a private life. Imagine that you guys happen to discover who he is, so you’re just going to spread the information all over the net and the whole netizens will get to know about him, and then he wouldn’t be able to live the private life he has chosen.

This Satoshi Nakamoto is one pure genius of creating Bitcoin. We benefit from his work right now in this very moment of digital era. I wish he is safe somewhere in the world and lying down in a hammock while drinking his coconut juice in an island to relax.

I just ran across your fantastic investigation and am really impressed.

I totally agree with your premise and that there is very little evidence (if any) to support the most popular theories about who Satoshi Nakamoto really is.

That said, I also disagree with some of your assumptions.

Using pretty much the same methods that you did, I have come up with a different Satoshi Nakamoto candidate, whose name has never been raised in this context.

I would love to put our heads together and talk.
