It was supposed to surpass ico and be a better crowdfunding method; but it has gone cold faster than ico did.

If you compare Your experiences too; between altcoin and bitcoin; you would notice that

1. Altcoins are so many; that they replace one another.
If an old altcoin dies
New altcoins will replace them and old one will be forgotten... It goes on and on

2. Bitcoin has maintained its class and importance;

Is it that bitcoin is the only hope for the future ??

Bitcoin remains the pace setter and should take the biggest part of every crypto enthusiasts' portfolio in my own opinion. Most altcoins will be gone with time, many are already forgotten. When the craze for IEO started, many people said it's the hope for crypto investors since listing is sure and team will be verified by the exchange, hence higher reputable projects. No doubt IEO is better than ICO in many aspects, but too many IEOs are making it look like child's play. The rate at which new altcoins emerge is evident that most team members are just in for the money, and have no devotion to develop the project. Nowadays the ROI from IEOs reduced comparatively and it's a sign that people are getting fed up with IEO. Some exchanges will even go as far as given false claims of selling out in a bit to lure in more buyers when listed.

1. You are right that's the sequence and pattern that the altcoins have. Someone's idea being taken by another better project and the cycle goes on of who's making a better project for that specific idea that they have. But they don't realize that most of them are hitting the same fate of being forgotten because the old and existing ones are winning the market.
2. Very few altcoins can come together with bitcoin in the future. Tackling about bitcoin's importance, think on how big its dominance to the market which means that more than half of all of the crypto market is from bitcoin and this speaks that majority prefers it.

comparing bitcoin and altcoin is not fair mate
as you can see the market cap of bitcoin now about 68% and the rest is going to altcoin wich mean only 32% from all market capitalisations of cryptocurrency,, and thats the real sign if people still focus on bitcoin rather than altcoin

It's not, bitcoin was controlling crypto caused by it's the first cryptocurrency that has already created and altcoins are using bitcoin as the main indicator to determine the value of the altcoin. Bitcoin is not the only one and remembers about the adoption of tokenization comes when ethereum created ico.
This will not happen if there was a coin in the market.
You can't always think if bitcoin is anything but another altcoin gives its contribution too.

I don't think that Bitcoin will be our only hope  in the future but it will definitely lead the pack of cryptocurrencies and platforms that will have a profound impact very soon in our future!

Additionally, since Bitcoin has its own unique features mostly ideal for payment transactions, I would like to think that in the near future, BTC, together with other crypto platforms and their unique features and use cases, a harmonious existence will emerge once this revolution becomes more mature and mainstream that will eventually benefit mankind for good. With Bitcoin dominance increasing it really is the future of Cryptocurrency, gone are the old days when new coins will have full support and investors in a hurry to invest in a new coin thinking it's the next best thing, that's not going to happen now, investors are more wiser than, they knew some new coins are just recycled of the old one with nothing to offer.

Your conclusion about ICO is true, and IEO is not like ICO which has a very long HYPE, and now the demand is getting lower,
altcoin does have the opportunity to replace bitcoin, but of course not in the near future, because we know the market dominance of Bitcoin is still above 50%, this proves that people still believe in Bitcoin.

Of course Bitcoin is our hope for the future because Bitcoin is able to maintain a position unlike the old or new altcoin. I do not really believe in the future of altcoin because it is vulnerable to severe downturns.

Bitcoin should be our main portfolio because of it's growing dominance, with so many scams ICO in the past, investors want to regain their losses by investing in a more stable coin like Bitcoin, Ethereum Eos among others, I can't keep with the number of coins that has gone from a hype to dump coins.

it's not always, we must see the situation before we will try to add any coin as our portfolios. Remember those people have bought when bitcoin priced $13k for each bitcoin has already lost almost a half for their investment. It's better to add portfolios based on the market trend to avoid the deep loss.

IEOs did not even reach halfway of what was achieved by ICO. Perhaps investors have learned a lot from failed offerings, regardless of its particular kind.

You are correct, there is a world of difference between Bitcoin and altcoins. Bitcoin is the one and only in its world while altcoins are made up of thousands and counting. Bitcoin does not have competitor so to speak. No other coin can compete with the founder, the beginning of everything. Altcoins, on the other hand, are very dispensable.

Yes. In my opinion Bitcoin is the only hope for the future in crypto. Older Altcoins like Ethereum will be competing with new altcoins.

Not for ETH because I have a big confidence that ETH will stay as long as bitcoin is still kicking and I some altcoins are also good. Bitcoin is the future because it will save us from a corrupt banks and cryptocurrency is the key for as to make transactions at the easiest way with a very low fees. IEO is better than ICO marginally, you can't compare the two,just imagine if IEO was the first fund raising that came out in 2017 what would have happened? i bet it will still be standing strong, its better to stick with bitcoin it seem to be the strongest of them all and for altcoin there is no clear vision yet

It seems to appear so. Altcoins have grown so much in number but in terms of significance, almost nothing has happened. So many coins have been created but none of them are actually used in real life the way bitcoin has.

People are now realizing altcoins were just a passing sensation and Bitcoin is the most reliable cryptocurrency out there.

Bitcoin is indeed currently being dropped but not when it remains we still have to hold Bitcoin from now on, bitcoin has a mission going forward for all.

I don't think bitcoin will die, but also I am not 100% sure it is the future. I think it will be used for large payments, it's a slow, heavy online gold. I think something else will be used for normal payments unless lightening is somehow amazing.

You stated the obvious fact and that's the truth and nothing more. IEOs rushed in and was embraced but it all turned to a game of exchanges making money and investor pursuing profit and not what the coin is offering; this act and many more has led to many altcoins coming up which are just a retwist of what is existing. Top altcoins like ETH and its likes will keep maintaining their competitive advantage while others will keep dying off. Lastly, Bitcoin holds a great portion of the future of the crypto space while other genuine altcoins contributes as well, one coin can't do it alone because there are more horizons to be explored.

I think both ieo and ico are equall; just that one gives you the opportunity to second guess while the other does not

There are a lot of good crypto that just like bitcoin which has great futures and most of the new altcoin has good promising project that will totally help us to have great future. But, for me its hard to choose altcoin that can beat bitcoin and I know it will remain as the king of cryptocurrency.

Yes bitcoin is the future but not the one and only hope for future. There are still many good altcoins and still survive until today. Such as ethereum, ripple, litecoin, etc. Altcoin is good and continues to develop their coins will also be the future. i sow some news articles regarding vensuala considering adding btc to its treasure reserve.and some news channels saying Russia is also considering adding btc to its treasury reserve/if this happened btc price and demand go very high

Not so, maybe Bitcoin is the king of the cryptocurrency market and holds a large share of the market. But there are still very good projects like ETH, BNB, LTC ..
Maybe everyone is a Bitcoin fan but don't forget the other altcoins that are contributing to this market.

I don't think so because all we see the fast falling of bitcoin price. I am so worried because I am also holding some bitcoin. As a future we can't say because nothing will predict what will happen next. But as for me even it is not a future, I am sure that bitcoin will stay alive on that time but I am not sure if bitcoin is still the king and still dominate the crypto world in the future.

Well, there is no permanent in this world, so basically we cannot assume that Bitcoin will be the future of cryptocurrency because technology evolve.  At one ,what popular now and most updated will be obsolete in the near future, unless Bitcoin developer keeps up with the advancing technology and made several updates and upgrades to Bitcoin to stay competetive. In my opinion, Bitcoin is currently still a major factor affecting the cryptocurrency market. Investors still put confidence in Bitcoin and maybe this is why the dominance of bitcoin in the market is still very high. When later there is an altcoin that has a product and is also able to gain investor confidence, I think the dominance of bitcoin will continue to decrease

nope, I don't think bitcoin will forever exist in the # 1 position. For me, things that are useful to society will be honored, and things that are only inflated, it should be garbage in the future. I am quite strict with bitcoin because its technology is so bad compared to coins but it is inflated.
This bothers me and this pump will never be sustainable in the long term. whales can lift it to the top of the ocean and lower it to the bottom of the ocean. ;)

I have observed that there are so many old coins that have lost their value, new coins are difficult to develop even have an exchange but there is no price development. so I think bitcoin is one of the coins that has great potential in the future.

I believe you have the wrong perception about bitcoin,
Few reasons why bitcoin will maintain a strong position are

1. Bitcoin is already used as a means of payment between firms, individuals and even websites now use them,
2. Govts are also embracing bitcoin

bitcoin is extremely useful, if you are a trader, learn to dyor and handle your risks.

Bitcoin is still a lot of people interested in today, so it will not be a problem if you choose this coin as a long-term investment because the value of BTC is currently very cheap. I think in the near future Bitcoin price will return to $10,000 again but first of all the psychology of investors in this market must be really stable because psychology is the decisive reason for the recovery of this market

To me . I have used all the savings I have to invest in Bitcoin and am very optimistic about this market so there won't be any reason for me to be nervous at the moment.

We have the evidence in its dominance in the market, honestly, we still need new altcoins in the market with good concept, so many coins have come and go but investors are still looking for more coins to fill the growing industry, if these developers stopped creating a new concept for their coin, we would not have Binance, Eos Tron.

In fact, bitcoin's growth is only due to its market pumping prices. In terms of technology, bitcoin currently does not rank in the top 14 of CMC. In terms of transaction speed, it is outside the top 50 in CMC. In terms of fees, it ranks the top 1 of the most expensive transaction fees.
In general, bitcoin is not bringing any good value to the market and humanity, it is only living on the money of the whales. I believe that one day, when humanity more emphasis on technology, Bitcoin will be death.

You can't compare bitcoin with all the existing altcoins because bitcoin is the first and original cryptocurrency. all altcoins use bitcoin as their base price. even when an altcoin does an IEO in an exchange it will use bitcoin as the value of the token / coin purchase.

As the OP has put it, the IEOs have gone cold much earlier than expected. I am repeating this once more. Half-baked projects have no future in the cryptocurrency market. What the market needs is a fully developed product which is ready to be used for its intended purposes, and not some fancy idea with hardly any development or viability study done on them.

Sometimes I start to believe that it is the future, sometimes I get lost by thinking what would happen if it goes below 2k or even 1k dollars. Would it get back by getting more and more investors or would BTC ballon would pop? I don't think we can predict the future that much. However, The first option that supports the rise of Bitcoin in the future is more likely. I trust in BTC as others do.

What you're saying is partly true. But most cryptocurrencies have different characteristics. For example, the consensus algorithms are different, the security protocols are different, the coin supply is different, the exchanges listed different etc. and therefore the regions are different.

Bitcoin is currently experiencing problems of scalability and energy consumption. So it's hard to say that Bitcoin is sufficient for long-term adaptation, so we need to focus on the know-it-all altcoins that provide less energy consume and endless scalability.

IEO are on able to meet up because there are no quality projects to actually qualify for them to accept it if they really want to maintain the integrity of project that they have promised the world, otherwise, they will just keep registering projects that are not going to last long and eventually still turn the platform to that of the IEO.

I think that they are just reserving this platform for the future also when their will be regulation so that more quality projects can approach them because if they destroy the IEO platform now too early, it may be difficult for us to ever see crowd funding survive again, but bitcoin will till always be the most reliable coin no matter how strict IEO is with projects, no matter the quality project that they release, they still cannot meet up with the standard of bitcoin.

Many old altcoins have died because of the lack of consistency from the developer team. I think there are some altcoins in which the developer team has the consistency to develop platforms like ethereum. Bitcoin is number one in the cryptocurrency market today because of investor confidence, it is possible that in the future there will be an altcoin that can compete with bitcoin in terms of market cap value or price

I agree, Bitcoin will become the gold of the cryptocurrency market but it will never become a means of payment. Bitcoin is too slow and transaction fees are too high, the future needs a reputable, stable and fast currency.

Agree, it's hard to make bitcoin a currency because there are so few total supplies. I think that in the future bitcoin will become a digital asset like gold because with the price being more expensive, people will prefer to invest in bitcoin because of its practicality and also its security

You are right, BTC is not used for the payment system globally and I feel that's the reason for downfall happening everytime, there is no doubt that the future of this coin will last long for more years but the transactions should happen everytime.

The general public can't help but to compare bitcoin to other cryptocurrencies we had in the market and what we are going to have in the future because bitcoin is standing and defending its name since 2009 by defying all odds. Bitcoin gave birth to other corresponding altcoins like Ethereum, dogecoin, monero, litecoin and the rest of the altcoins. What lies beyond bitcoin's future is still a mystery for each one of us.

Too bad no merit on this thread 8) Bitcoin is the king of cryptocurrency. It has the strongest team of developers and yet the most trusted cryptocurrency ever. Bitcoin is the most popular cryptocurrency though with the market dominance of approximately 67% and the market capitalization of over $150 billion. Bitcoin is the future of cryptocurrency because people TRUST bitcoin more than any other altcoin out there.  

Bitcoin cannot be the future of humankind but it will cover the most parts of technology in the future. Many companies will start using BTC because of the inevitable increase of demand to cryptocurrencies. So Bitcoin will be more widely-used in about 10 years in my opinion. It may come even sooner, who knows.

For me among the rest of cryptocurrency bitcoin has the most bright future, and if a lot of investor will not stop supporting there is no doubt that bitcoin will still be the best in the future and i know many holders of btc will able to make more profit.

Nope, the reason why bitcoin is not.replaced is because it is the first cryptocurrency to be succesfully developed and serve it's purpose. Altcoins have their own function, unique in may ways and is created for a certain function. If investors find it useful and something that has a long-term potential investors will never leave a project.

I don't think so. Even several altcoins failed to survive the market, still some of them proves to be worthy. And we must note that currently, innovations to altcoins progress faster than that of bitcoin. Ideas like ETH's smart contracts and other altcoins innovative ideas is what makes altcoins still relevant. But that doesn't mean bitcoin does not evolve either. Bitcoin has adopted the smart contract capabilities too, suggesting that it improves but on a slow and secure pace that won't make it suddenly disappear.

It's like altcoins more of experimentals but when they gain traction/support, they survive long enough or might even stay. One thing's for sure is that we can't tell their futures.

In my opinion altcoin is not that bad, bitcoin will have a strong future but altcoin also too. Altcoins like ethereum, litecoin, xrp and bnb will stay strong with bitcoin in the future.

I even have a different vision about this. I think that the cryptocurrency market needs at least 1000 different coins. And the more Altcoins there are, the higher the liquidity level of Bitcoin will be.

If you believe bitcoin is the future, then the right thing to do is invest in it. means the demand will increase and that will keep the bitcoin value above altcoin. some people bet their money on bitcoin is because they see the potential of bitcoin to be more successful in the future. so we are talking about massive adoption here and if that will happen, we will definitely be happy in the future.

I was on bitcoin since 2014, and no other coin is better than bitcoin until now. ICO and IEO do not have guarantees for good coins. all moves under Bitcoin. Even the results of Bitcoin hardfork (BCH etc.) are not able to compete with bitcoin. so in my opinion Bitcoin is still a very good future. It's just that in the last survey, the volume of Bitcoin is ranked 2 after USDT. at this time IEO is no longer good, and it is only for instant profits by investors. some have good projects and goals. but very difficult.

Newbie here so can't PM. I am doing some independent research into ICO scams such as bitconnect and the controversy around it.

For starters, I want to dig deeper into the ICO and "follow the money". Where is that 1500 btc anyways?? I'm tracing the bitcoin blockchain to see if I can find the source of funds.

If you did invest in the ICO, would you be willing to track down the deposit address you used to send money to bitconnect? This would help my research a ton, and your help would be credited in my report!

There is no doubt, bitcoin, and a few other top altcoins are the future of cryptocurrency. New altcoins are showing up every day and the older ones are dying. As they say, one life ends another begins because of that I don't think many altcoins on the market right now would survive in the future.

Hmm... 2014? That was the time when I got interested in cryptocurrency. Five and half years have passed and my life improved a lot as a result of the returns I received from my first investment in Bitcoin. I still remember the hardship I suffered before 2014. I was always short of money for my monthly expenses and I was in deep debt. But everything changed once I started getting good returns from BTC.

I am not a big fan of either the IEOs or the ICOs. And it is not very surprising that more than 95% of them end up as failures. I don't have much hope even for the remaining 5%. Most of them will go down in the future, just like the other 95%. The case with Bitcoin Cash is different. A few industrial heavyweights are supporting that coin, and the developers are working hard to popularize it. It will thrive in the future, but at no point BCH will be able to overtake, or even offer meaningful competition to Bitcoin.

For me bitcoin is not the only hope for future. Since there are many altcoins like ethereum, litecoin, ripple in which they are in line and are under the top 10 in the whole crypto currency. So, I think this altcoins in the future can match the price of the bitcoin. So, let's add our hopes in the future for the altcoins and not just for the bitcoin.

Actually we can't directly say that Bitcoin is the only hope for the future of this market. Eventually, there will be cryptocurrencies that will be better than Bitcoin I think. We can say that Bitcoin is an example for future coins.

The fact that bitcoin has dominated up until now doesn't mean it will keep on dominating, whenever I talk to other crypto heads I tend to sound like a bitcoin maximalist, but really I'm all in for crypto in general, if there's another coin that will de-thrown bitcoin, I'm all up for that, too. It's just easier to support bitcoin because it's the one most people have heard about.

Definitely bitcoin is truly the hope of the future of cryptocurrency, without bitcoin,  there will be no altcoins,  bitcoin pave the way for altcoins to come into existence, bitcoin has maintained it's class and position all altcoins had been displace of their position,  ethereum was once displaced to third position, as for IEO,  it was just a normal hype to get money quickly from investors,  Binance hype for IEO was what really makes IEO so popular due to the return of investment,

Not the only hope I think, there are still a lot of big altcoin out there which wil take a fly off if bitcoin were not around. So there are a lot of hopes for financial system in the future don't just focus on bitcoin only. Yeah there are many altcoins but some are just like bitcoin some of them are superior of another.

Basically the term alternative in the word altcoins makes it hard for other cryptocurrencies to compete with bitcoin, so as it sets the mindset of people to think that bitcoin is already dominated the market. I think that is the greatest asset that the bitcoin has, its separation from other cryptocurrencies. That's why we can say that bitcoin will always be on the top followed buy competing sets of altcoins.

I think it is beyond the word alternative.
In truer minds, no altcoin has come close to matching bitcoin consistency and solidity.

After cryptocurrency is created and many people invested this coin because they see the potential of it that can give the money in the future and now after a few years the price rise of the bitcoin goes up and catches the attention of more people to invest more. Now the price reaches to pumping again and hoping that the price will be okay. When the cost of the bitcoin is not suitable for investment, the people use the altcoins or alternative coins to make an income, and this coin is the same lang bitcoin. Still, they are different in the market price; it is small that anyone can afford and use for investment and trading. As a trader and investor, we are always seeking for the profit.

Bitcoin was released 10 years ago. I think he's already changed a lot of things. The big capital scared the owners. Shaken the banking sector. People no longer have to invest their money in banks. They can make storage on their own computers.

Bitcoin being the first cryptocurrency, I think it will always be a future of cryptocurrencies. As old altcoins will be replaced by new altcoins and the chain will continue by replacing old with new and forgetting the old ones. Bitcoin is rapidly increasing and so it'll always have its own class and importance. As simple as bitcoin do not have anything to get replaced with so it can be considered as a great future.

Many people have the impression that since bitcoin was created 10 years ago now it should be old technology that should be easily surpassed but that is not happening because most coins in the market are direct copies of bitcoin, and it is completely impossible for a copy to replace the original, in order for bitcoin to be replaced a new coin with superior technology will need to appear and so far that has not really happened and I am beginning to have doubts that will happen during our lives.

That's right, we cant assume that bitcoin will be the future of the currency and the cryptocurrency because as time passes by technology around us is evolving day after day in which the technology is so fast on changing in different phases that's why we can't assume that this is probably the future.
Bitcoin right now is one of the trending in the internet world in which it is already become popular due to many of users that are engaging into it and that is the best way we can say that bitcoin right now is good, but until when it will be good enough for us crypto enthusiast? Until the next decade? What if after some years there would be some cryptocurrency that will defeat bitcoin? Then we cannot say that bitcoin is really the future.

Seeking to know if Bitcoin is the future may not readily find an answer now. I mean, we have had great coins in the recent past that have disappeared through thin air. Where is Bytebal for instance? Something can happen that might upstage the Bitcoin dominance and once this happens, other coins might take the lead.

we can confirm that is so. Bitcoin is considered a good value coin and can exist with high value in the long term. but for alts it is always affected by many things and sometimes it will be greatly reduced due to market fluctuations. for bitcoin it is only slightly volatile and more likely to bring regular returns to investors. So we should trust it and hold it from now until the halving event, we will definitely have many rewards.

As time passing by, the demand of the people into bitcoin is constantly changing. As long as the demand will stay as it is or if the demand will become more higher then there is a bright future waiting for bitcoin. There is no altcoins that can surpass bitcoin, even there are altcoins that have more good characteristics than bitcoin; investors are still choosing to make investment with bitcoin because it is already proven that its value is continuing to rise over time.

to seek certainty in the future may indeed not be possible, so it is better if we indeed confirm the present first because tomorrow we still cannot know. it is realistically better to focus now than to think about a future that is not yet full of certainty, because in the future it is still limited to possibilities.

yes for most of the first bitcoin made and has a sale value and purchase value that can be trusted and is owned by all the people who want to buy a bitcoin will always be there in the future even I think bitcoin will be difficult to stop dominating altcoin closely follow bitcoin. moment bitcoin is down altcoin when prices will drop if bitcoin rose altcoin ride.

This conjecture might have not been proved yet but thinking of the fact that if government throws a strong regulation and law concerning the use of cryptocurrency, particularly, to use a single cryptocurrency that is not bitcoin, it will indeed surpass the market price and rank of bitcoin on the top cryptocurrencies worldwide. Because the reason why bitcoin's market price is high is because of the demand of people from it. If an altcoin surpasses that demand and the nature of that particular altcoin is volatile. It might be an end bitcoin being the top crypto.

IEOs didn't get too much attention indeed unlike ICOs who really became a trend and I think probably because IEOs uprises at the bearish market or perhaps, investors lost their trust to invest in this kind of project. Getting back to the question, I think not only Bitcoin will be the hope for the future since there are several altcoins can perform well as Bitcoin such as ETH and more. However, we can't deny the fact that the power of Bitcoin could lead other cryptocurrencies into the future.

As the technology rises, we would want something that will help our transaction to become faster than before. We need bitcoin for us to achieve this type of transaction since bitcoin has a feature where in you can use it as payment online. If we will be having faster transaction, the growth of the country is for surely gonna happen.

What do you mean faster transactions like paying online? Paying with debit and credit cards are faster than paying in btc unless if you are using lightning network. Btc advantage doesn't automatically mean faster transactions by means of paying something because using credit cards and other bank method is faster than paying btc.

of course LN network is way more faster because it does not go with the blockchain before it's process but the adoption is still low.
Bitcoin although not so fast but the transaction speed is acceptable, at least it's more transparent since both parties can look at the public ledger.

the use of bitcoin still outperforms even though it is slow, and its adoption is still favored by bitcoin. bitcoin enthusiasts are still coming from year to year so there is a possibility that in the future bitcoin will exist even though there are many rivals but bitcoin can still survive and grow.

Yes there are really many altcoins in the market and it might even multiply but in the end, you'll probably see only 2% of them survive and the rest would just be dried up and lose its value because they'll be dumped anyway.
Bitcoin will remain as it is. It proved its way not going down to $0 already upon the decade.

I believe that Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency that will not die and will be used in the future because bitcoin can be used as the world's reserve currency so that it can bind the country's economy to the global economy and avoid the inflation-prone national currency. and also, Bitcoin can be a standard part and portfolio for average finance. Later, many investors will be verified in stocks, mutual funds, real estate, and other assets.

Well, we can already conclude that, many attempts to do ICO/IEO and there were projects becomes successful, but after launch they didn't still survive, some other compete with Bitcoin but they failed as well, only Bitcoin remains so far for more than a decade so we can really say that Bitcoin is the future, no matter you will believe or not.

First and foremost, what do you mean by saying bitcoin is the future?  I have realized that a lot of people in the crypto space do not really understand and know what cryptocurrencies are and the technologies behind some of these crypto coins. In as much that there are a lot of altcoins in the market does not mean all of them a shit. Some of these altcoins have mind blowing technologies which can transform the world if we focus on their technologies rather than the crypto coins.  Bitcoin introduced blockchain technology and altcoins came into existence through blockchain technology. Blockchain technology is rather the future not Bitcoin...

For sure that we are all aware that Bitcoin or crypto was built for the future, that founders wanted to make a change in terms of banking, financial and of course an innovation for technology.

What I'm going to guess is after 10 years, bitcoin's price would be high as hell that we can't complaint when the bear market comes. Bitcoin was released in 2009 and it was already 10 years but Satoshi Nakamoto is still nowhere to be found, and there is no new Satoshi Nakamoto that you were saying that would suggest something revolutionary new.

No one can ever predict the future. Who knows maybe tomorrow, next week, next month or next year Mr. Satoshi Nakamoto will reveal himself to the public. There are certain and particular reasons why he hid himself to the public. In my own speculation maybe because he just wants to stay hidden because he has a lot of bitcoins and he wanted to be safe or maybe he has the reputation to care or Satoshi Nakamoto is just a name and they are people behind this name.

Altcoins will come and go but bitcoin is here to stay. Its not that alts havent tried to become more popular than Bitcoin but its harder than they think. There are many alts which has the potential to grow stronger and become a reality in the future. Many alts will be implemented and may be used rather than fiat. But if blockchain is widely used in systems then Bitcoin will be popular than ever.

it all depends on the quality of altcoin itself, not all old altcoins die, for example like LTC, it still survives until now. the number of altcoins that died because of lack of enthusiasts and supporting communities. unlike bitcoin, which already has a majority of supporters for its future, because it is the first in the cryptocurrency world.

There is no information available to a country's government on Bitcoin transactions, so many dishonest cycles exploit Bitcoin. Nothing will die as long as you can use it. Most altcoins you cannot use and are only based on the speculation and hopes that the price will rise and that is the only reason people buy it. It would be much better if people only started supporting tokens and other cryptos that had real-world case use. Then people would buy those tokens and crypto to use them without even thinking of the value. It will also be better for people only interested in investing for the value sine if it has a use then the demand will increase and holding makes more sense for a bigger payout.

Definitely Bitcoin is not only hope for the future but you can undoubtedly trust this coin regarding in future. I believe very strong future in altcoins, a lot of many cryptocurrencies are doing excellent in their own platform, because these have strong liquidity in the real life.
You will looking ETH platform,LTC,XRP,BNB,EOS,MONERO but you can think comparatively BTC is only one hope in the future.

Yes we can see that bitcoin is in the top of Cryptocurrency which somehow some people call it as a mother of cryptocurrency.  But that doesnt mean that only bitcoin is the one which can give us a better future because when you look on the marketplace you can see some altcoins which have good value but not the same how high bitcoin is. 

Man, the truth is that you can’t compare Bitcoin to every other cryptocurrency in the market. Bitcoin is the main cryptocurrency and altcoins are just some alternatives that you can use if possible. Even if you decide to make use of altcoins you’re still not going to be able to make use of them since you will hardly see anyone that’s making use of altcoins, except few of them like Ethereum (finding someone that’s using ETH is also hard).

Bitcoin is the most popular cryptocurrency and it’s always what everyone is after. People just invest in altcoins and when they start fall, they get dumped and people sell them for Bitcoin and Ethereum.

The only altcoin I think might give Bitcoin a serious competition is Libra. Facebook is a well known brand, so that’s really going to make Libra a huge competition more than altcoins like Ethereum and XRP, a lot of people are going to adopt it starting with Facebook users, although Bitcoin will likely stand strong as it has always been for being the first cryptocurrency and also one of the most secure.

The reason I said Libra will likely be a good opponent is because of the association that is backing it up, I know that PayPal has dropped off after the controversy that has followed, but as time goes on if the project is successful they might get back into it, I guess ;).

Libra will be popular but the problem is how long and large would it stand against the mighty Bitcoin?yeah popularity is indeed for Libra but i dont think this is capable enough to take the POsition of bitcoin.
and also Bitcoin will be the number 1 currency for another 10 years and Libra will take long time first to get the sympathy and support of Cryptonians.

Libra will easily reach the common people, because already it has the well established Facebook backing. With bitcoin the scenario is different as the promotion is happening through the word of mouth spreading. Libra being a stablecoin won't easily gain the attention of crypto people who look for growth. As of now bitcoin leads the market, libra in terms of usage will peak in a short but winning the future by overcoming bitcoin won't happen that easy.

no doubt that Libra will succeed in some way (its almost too big to fail lol), but the people who care about the fragility of the monetary system will always gravitate toward the permission-less, censorship-resistant option. And that's an increasing number of people. Facebook already has a bad rep as its not far away from being a monopoly (and yes i know the libra association is a separate entity from facebook) and getting into finance by forming a group of oligarchs might be a step too far.

BTC will trudge along and do its thing regardless of what anyone does/says and in the end it will be continually upgraded and will remain available for use as a currency. which is all it needs to do to win to be honest.

While the demand changes in the short term in the long term the demand is only going up, this creates confidence in investors that the price of bitcoin will continue to go up in the future and it is not going to crash as the price of many altcoins did in the past in which many coins crashed more than 99% and many coins disappeared after the bubble of 2017, and that confidence is not something you can buy, bitcoin has earned that trust during the last 10 years and no coin comes close to enjoy that same trust from their investors.

They are. As you can see notice, if bitcoin starts to plummet then altcoins will also plummet. Many have observed this attitude of altcoins that's why if you want to all-in in cryptocurrencies, bitcoin is the best option that you have to choose before investing in altcoins. The future will be amazing, there will still be altcoins that we can choose but many of them will be gone but bitcoin will stay.

Bitcin can be gloablacurrency if the government will think serious about BTC and lk the positive side of BTC.The main strength of BTC is decentralized and n one can control it just growing day by day so government should legalize it that common people take benefit from it.

In fact, the popularity of cryptocurrency is also used by some companies to make a profit, even though this land is still very green.  There are some serious and truly able to create unique niches whose products are very useful and functional so that many are widely adopted and utilized, such as ETH, Tron, etc.  whereas most others who work and create projects without a strong foundation and fail to form market capacity will lose their popularity and become increasingly worthless, and will not survive and then be replaced as the OP explained.

You should not think like this way only Bitcoin could be the hope of the future, of course, you have to consider the innovation of the blockchain system. since Bitcoin was made by the blockchain system so it will be aside by Bitcoin for sure, though Bitcoin is the mainstream of the cryptocurrency so it's a special attribute to this platform and the impact will be seen in the coming days certainly. who knows what will come in the future, I think a lot of things will be added to this system in the future but Bitcoin will play a vital role in this platform for sure because it's the fundamental thing in this cryptocurrency world.
