Its rewards program is a small advertisement that opens on the bottom right hand corner of the screen. Its a purely text based ad similar to google ads. Example:

I switched to using brave after reports emerged about google chrome not being reliable in terms of security. There have been many bugs and vulnerabilities which chrome devs strangely never got around to fixing.

Don't know much about BAT token. I would +merit for any useless tips or tricks anyone could share with BAT.

This type of innovative support for crypto in brave's rewards program could be a solid platform that could help to further mass adoption.

It doesn't deviate from what people normally do online with a browser and some of the ads are interesting and worth clicking.

I'm not quite familiar with that Brave browser, nor is it legitimate and does actually pay off (which I assume is a yes since that payout amount is small), but it's also one great way for people to know about cryptocurrencies. It does help crypto in gaining more publicity and trigger their curiosity to learn more and potentially invest. However, I just hope it's not another scam because it would certainly affect crypto's image to the public. I have also not heard of BAT altcoin, but nevertheless, quite impressive for a browser to have a touch of cryptocurrency.

I've been using Brave and I thought the only way to earn BAT on it is through their referral program and tipping. I have already enabled the brave ads rewards and I hope that I can make around $5-$10 too by just browsing and viewing their ads.

It's legit and they've actually paid a lot of people from what I've read not only just here in the forum but in other platforms too.

I've heard lots of good things with BAT coming from my crypto friends and its a good way to earn crypto just by not doing anything, plus its safe compared to other browsers! This is interesting. I heard a lot of noise about Bat Token and brave browser. This isnt big much reward but I think only few browser can offer this generosity I guess. I am using Brave as my default browser since 2 months now, what I like is that I see no ads on youtube because I am watching a lot of videos crypto related and not only and no more ads on websites I visit which is amazing.

In regards of earning BAT with their advertising system for me isn't working that well, maybe is country related or something like this because I managed to view only 2 ads this month even I have the ads reward activated with 5 ads/hour.

Unfortunately, this browser did not work well for me and their rewards program is not available in my country.
I used this browser 2 months ago and only got around 4 BAT because of monthly reward, afterward the browser gave me an error and refused to give a monthly reward.
still hoping they are adding more countries on their coverage list and improving their browser.

It only worked on selected countries as of the moment so far I’m still hoping that they will also allow other countries to earn as well. On the other han ld its a good platform to earn free BAT every month likely to attract users from any part of the globe.

I am not new to BAT, and for Brave team and BAT team to have this form of collaboration, is a great idea. Although, I am going to use the browser, it will be for the sake of its security, if that is guaranteed, but for the reward, I believe it is too small to be earned for a whole month. I believe that the ads that pop up fetches the team more money compared to what user are given.

Brave uses the Chromium engine just like Chrome and a few other browsers. I've been using Vivaldi for a month now and it's faster and uses less memory than Chrome. I tried Brave awhile back but at the time at least it didn't have the features I like.

It's small but it's better than other browser that you will get nothing. There many users even its small amount if you combine all of the monthly earning from users its still big. Besides there is other way to earn if you are YouTuber you can get BAT from tips of users.

i also use brave browser on my mobile device, how come i have never been awarded a single BAT? and i remember putting the setting on view ad option, i don't see any ad to view or get paid  ;D or those this not applicable to mobile device only desktop can access this? i can't understand it, i was thinking to earn some bat through the browser unfortunately am yet to earn anything.

You are using the system then you are getting the share of their earnings, better than using chrome or other browsers where you are not getting anything. Same with what you said, it's good even it's small compensations but if you are not going to pay attention to it the amount will be a
good and acceptable rewards after some months or years using it,.
Think of it as another source of passive income while you are doing what's you usually doing in the first place.

You should have look for a reason for not getting a BAT token. If you are using it for three months, you should have collected enough BAT tokens. I am also using it and I am able to receive my BAT token. I prefer using Brave Browser than google because while using it, I am able to earn even a little amount of BAT.

I have been using the Brave browser on my Android phone from the beginning of this year. I wasn't careful about the Ads program. After getting several emails about BRAVE ads, airdrops and tipping creators from some random mails, I started to research and start using the Brave browser on PC! Honestly, the browser performed well at first, but after some days, it crashed like every day. I reported it to the team though and I never earned BAT token. I thought it is only for content creators, it means you can tip to your favorite content creators through BAT token. BRAVE browser and BAT token both are asstest for the crypto industry. Hopefully, I will start using the browser again and will look into the ads program.

I really like to download this browser just to earn BAT, but too bad that they are not available in my country to view the brave ads, only America and the Europe countries that can view the ads. Well hopefully that they include Asian countries in the next update.

I can't use other browsers for too long. Wish it was possible to sync my browsers data across different browsers, that will definitely make me to start using brave browser more.
I like lite browers, by the way... Browsers that are lite on my mobile devices. I normally open to many applications at thesame time for multitasking. This makes the whole thing slow for me me unfortunately. I can't do without having multiple apps opened at thesame time.

I have never tried it. But one of my Facebook friends uses Brave browser and has already made around $ 500. He showed it on his Facebook status. I don't know how he did it. Seems legit. I think this browser is good with good privacy too. I really want to install it but my laptop is full of applications. Maybe someday.

I was never a fan of brave. I installed the browser in it's early phase and it wasn't usable. But the last time I looked it into, it has improved a lot and integrated BAT for it's advertising platform. I still don't use it but my friends using it are unsatisfied with the earnings. Though you are getting something for doing what you would have done for free, I'm used to my personal browser and can't make a switch for such small reward.

It seems that ads from Brave Browser are not yet available for my country, so I haven't benefited from using Brave Browser. from what I've tried, brave browser is little bit heavy (lag) than the chrome browser or this is because maybe my laptop's specifications are outdated so feel less suitable to use brave browser.

First you need  to know if the ads is already available in your country.
Second you should use it regularly to see ads and earn from it.

Maybe he missed one of the requirements to earn BAT token. following the steps carefully is the key to earn free tokens.
Using it regularly and also verifying his Uphold wallet is the first step and this is required. Unable to follow their rules/steps won't give any rewards.

I have been using Brave for a better part of this year, and I'm quite satisfied. I don't live in a region that supports their ad program as of yet, so I haven't had the chance to test it for myself, but the browser itself is better than Chrome, imo. It seems faster, and all Chrome plugins work just as well as they do in Chrome, so I don't see any downsides. There were some issues in the past, although updates seem to have fixed them along the way. As for BAT, it can be used for tipping on Twitter and maybe Reddit, and I think that the devs are planning to introduce tipping on other social media. Plus, you can tip individual creators on many other platforms, or even entire websites. Brave was also known to gift a few dollars worth of BAT to users, although I haven't seen them do that in a while now. Other than that, I am not a BAT user, although the opportunity to get it by watching ads is something I would be willing to do, once it becomes an option in my region.

What does it bring to a regular user? I mean you can pass the KYC on blockchain.com for 25 bucks worth of stellar or watch simple videos on coinbase and earn even more by answering questions. Who cares about 10 USD per month?

I mainly have brave browser, but for the sake of only using it to browse and it is enough for me since it has a good functionality. In addition, with them paying 5-10 dollars is just a bonus when we use it. It is just quite sad that I couldn't take advantage of that since it requires personal information which I find not healthy for me to provide. Though, that is not the case, I am already contented with it being my main browser.

BTW this 10$ monthly is not the only option you can earn there is more other ways like tips referral etc.

Brave has been my default browser for a while now.  It really makes no sense to use other alternatives that have been reported to have potential security issues, or  laggy browsers that force close when running multiple tabs, not to mwntion the rewards. In all ramifications, Brave is a superior browser.

Well, i recently using this brave browser because i fell much safer using it than using google chrome browser because it blocks ads and prevents me from virus that i can get through browsing online. And i like about this brave browser is i could get BAT rewards by watching ads and receiving it to other people who also used this browser.

There are some countries where individuals pay for internet access, that is, every browsing that is done, is accompanied by a from RM of payment. So if $10 is the reward for a month, then such would have used over $10 to check ads and might think he is still making monthly money. It might be very interesting and encouraging in countries with free internet access.

Undoubtedly, Brave browser is better than Chrome but the latter has better features than the former. Meanwhile , I don't like Brave browser even for a step. The reward program is not it.

It is a very cool browser and easy to just import everything from chrome. I agree with some of the comments here about how fast it is. It is so fluid and doesn't crash often.

Seriously speaking. BAT token is a utility token that powers brave browser. They used token to reward all users that using brave browser in exchange for the traffic that the user generated. In layman's term. BAT is just a reward token and its price depends on the success of brave project.

The small reward is reasonable because you normally will getting paid in such amount by viewing ads.

The option to cash out your Brave ad revenue rewards is not available yet for mobile device, at least not for android Even the option for the PC based web browser has been delayed. In order to successfully cash out your rewards you have to do the KYC/AML procedure through a third party platform Uphold. Once upon successful completion of KYC information you should be verified. Even then you will have to wait until November 1st for your Uphold wallet balance to be synchronized with your browser.

About the security, most of the browsers are not secure. I did a research and understood that the best way is to use firefox with some extensions to have ultimate privacy. Havent started doing that.

Brave browser is almost similar to Firefox. But with features that have been added. I have been using Brave browser for a long time. Display that is easy to use and very comfortable for beginners who use this browser. Ad security features are available and can avoid dangerous sites from being visited. We will also get several BAT Tokens if we continue to use Brave Browser. This is a browser that must be used by bounty hunters like me.

I used Brave before they launched the referral campaign. The feature that I like the most is their incognito mode, when it turn to a Tor browser, which I can brow internet safely. It also use very little RAM, only 1/3 of Chrome. Highly recommend for you.

what I like most about Brave browser is that it is very light to use and security / anonymity is well maintained. but I also had a problem at that time, the android application crashes sometimes. for desktop web browser I don't use it, because a lot of important data is in Chorme and all this time using desktop Chorme is still safe. maybe later I will move to using the Brave browser for the desktop version. yeah me too, i actually use the mobile app but it seems the rewards for BAT tokens only meant for those users of the pc browser, i personally like the anonymity of the brave browser, although am used to google chrome as my default browser on my pc but now am definitely switching to brave, will be testing it out, i already like the mobile version, i think on pc will feel even better.

Even though my region isn't yet covered by ads, but I still use the Brave browser. Because it's lighter to use and 100% can be free from annoying ads such as pop-ads without having to install additional extensions. Brave Browser and BAT has been outstanding for a long time now. I am actually sending this post from a Brave browser and I just love the experience. Yep, it's rewarding.

It was just my few weeks after the activation of Brave rewards and so far I've got around 0.85 BATs pending by simply clicking the ads that are popping on my notification. Very rewarding and imagine by just doing almost nothing, you've got to earn few tokens for that.

I used to receive it, but the same goes off by the end of the month. Once again it gets received based on the activity, and by the end of the month it goes off. This means we're supposed to tip it to content creators appreciating their efforts. I tried to move to a wallet, and it wasn't possible at the moment.

I think brave doesn't reward per click, the way other ad services do.

I only click on ads I'm interested in & rewards for november 2019 were 35.8 BAT.

Meaning those earning from the ads cant widraw and can only be use for tipping  creators?

If you are using BAT (for profits), you should consider also using Swash, a chrome plugin that also works on Brave browser. This plugin sells your browsing data for $DATA coin.

Nice one from brave browser, not many browser can give out some reward as this.  But most of the reward does noy come from click but form referals, i will suggest that the team add more features like read to earn and making use of the browser often doing this will add to the value of the platform and the browser and more intelligent people will love to Make use of the browser thus ensuring the popularity of the browser

I had a problem since three days ago, I can't open my publisher account and my reward had gone offhanded.

Does anyone know this why? I have arround $100 in my publisher account and I have an intention to send them to an exchange but I was surprised I can't open it and there is no email when I tried to log in.

I've read some discussion about this browser on our local board a while ago. I even downloaded it and used it a couple of times, but haven't really gone through the process of creating accounts on Uphold and Publisher yet. I'm kinda hesitant with their mandatory KYC process. Is that really necessary to be able to earn BAT tokens? or can I maybe just skip that part? If I understand correctly Publisher accounts are only needed for content creators right? So, if I just want to earn through the ads, I don't have to register an account on that platform?

I didn't made an withdrawal yet because of the low amount of BAT in my wallet but since Brave asked to backup the wallet this means you can withdrawal your coins. The trick is that you will need to verify your account with Uphold before making a withdrawal, meaning you'll need to pass their KYC (full KYC) ID verification and all the stuff.

Havent tested out yet but for you to withdraw those BAT tokens you will really need to comply KYC in uphold which is totally a BS thing to do.Main reason why i lost my interest to this BAT rewards.

It seems like you need to create an uphold wallet in order to get Bassic Attention Token per months. But one thing that should be pay attention, you must have a content such as on youtube channel or your blog to accept BAT from other people (but you can also send the reward to your content)

Which is mean, from the utilization of brave browser per months you will get $5 (depend on your region) but it is not automatically you can send them you your uphold wallet, but you need to send them first to your content and  if you have sent you will see the token on your uphold wallet. And I guess that applies too even if you choose ads to earn the token.

Is there any rules which stated that we can't send tip to our own account? there is no AFAIK, so that is my benchmark to say we can send tip to our own content. And I think it is mandatory to have a content on youtobe channel or blog in order to get add income from other people, moreover to earn BAT through ads is limited (CMIIW) just in several countries who can get it.

I just tried using the brave browser without having any content on my youtube channel, I also made a publisher account and linked my social media channels (Twitter/Reddit which aren't promoting my referral links as well) and the result is that I am able to earn a few BAT tokens just by clicking pop-up ads in the browser itself.

There's no need to make content and upload it on youtube if you're satisfied with just earning through the ads. It is not mandatory.
But of course, if someone as greedy as you would want to earn more, then they can do so, even tip their own content just as you suggested.

Brave claims to be focused on privacy. But they don't give you BATs if you don't register with UNHOLD.

The KYC verification is necessary for uphold, as far as I know. It doesn't make sense to use the Brave browser just because of the Brave rewards program. The Firefox and alternative browsers also do a job and If Brave team thinks about the update on the reward distribution I will consider downloading their browser.

That's the point. I am not afraid of KYC verification, but if I have to do it, it must make sense. With such low prizes (coming out around $0.01 a day) I don't see the need to give my data. If Brave shares the earnings in a better proportion, I will also consider using this browser.

Brave is really an incredible software, and I first discovered it in a YouTube video that it seamlessly gets browsing faster than any other browsers. Ever since, I have been using it, and now that they introduced these rewards around April this year? IIRC. I was sad because there weren't any ads for my region yet. But this month, it was introduced, so I guess it's kind of a win-win for me because there are ads now, but there are only a few that come right now, but still, just like the OP said, nothing changed, just the browser.

Last time I checked, the KYC is for uphold not brave. And it's probably this way to avoid leeching from people installing brave on a shit ton of computers, tablets and phones just to get free BAT and then sell them for BTC. Nobody is forcing you to KYC.

If you really like BRAVE and want some BAT you can always get some from an exchange without doing a KYC! There are plenty you can choose from. But of course that would require you to actually pay some money ;) But judging from your post, I bet you are only interested in getting some coins for free and leeching from the project so I doubt that would interest you.

No, brave's advantage is not that it allows you to earn-to-surf. That's just one (of the many) nice perks, but you have probably focused on the get-paid-to-surf model due to your personal bias. Allow me to quote the official website:

As for if there other browsers better than Brave, again that's your opinion. IMO, when it comes to privacy and speed, Brave gives at the moment the best out-of-the-box experience and it's my go to browser when I am at home. Unfortunately, it has some small compatibility issues and I can't use it at my work which requires the use of certain plug ins that atm don't work properly with it. But when it comes to everyday casual use... nothing beats it. I doubt I will persuade you as you only seem to care about making money so just go use Chrome or..edge...LOL

As far as I know, the KYC is necessary for withdrawing the profits from Uphold and using the Brave browser without rewards program doesn't make it unique compared to the alternative chromium based browsers. Chrome is directly linked to the Google account but the Brave doesn't have such synchronize options. Instead of Google account, they have their synch code inside the browser and their main search engine is duckduckgo.

Actually it is a great idea from the bad team and this brave browser initialised this earning option to use their browser and based on the traffic and the revenue generated they were giving some funds to the real users.
Alongside you can invest for bat token in trading sites as well as using this rewards program.

It takes a while for the ads to start showing up. Also, setting your ads 5x per hour doesn't necessarily mean there will be 5 ads showing up within the span of one hour.
There's no guarantee that even one ad will show up every hour. There are even times when there are no ads showing up after using the browser for several hours. Not sure if the Brave team is lacking some ads to distribute to their users or there's a rotation on who gets the ads at that given time.

Where do you live? Perhaps the region you're in isn't currently supported for Brave ads?

he's live in indonesia which mean my country not supported for earning BAT but why he can earn BAT in indonesia?

Perhaps he is accessing the internet via a proxy, which means that he appears to be from another country other than Indonesia. Or perhaps he has signed up as a creator for the the BRAVE ad-network and he is leeching on the free coins, that come with fresh installations, to reward...himself.. I can't see any other way he could earn free BAT if he is not from one of the countries supported.

Maybe he earn it from referral or he recieve tips from other users. In that way he will recieve ads even ads still not available in your country.

The only possible explanation for that is maybe he is using proxy services to make it look like he's on those supported regions or maybe he/she is indeed currently living in one of those regions.
Although I'm not 100% sure if using proxy would allow you to participate in Brave rewards since I really haven't tried it myself. You could've just asked that person though, maybe he'll share some info about it with you.  ;D

Brave browser not only gives rewards but gives pretty good service for cryptocurrency lovers especially because it is free of advertisements. On the quality side I have an asessment on it, I have been two months to use this browser and seems like they need to improve the system. I have several times when I used this browser and it just close automatically and sometimes I can't click anything.

Your welcome actually I just tried it for this month and earn a little reward for just browsing and maybe it really require you to refer more to gain more rewards.  yes you need to refer to earn more if you want and about its safety , the browser is secure because it is already been reviewed and verified before  but if you are still worried you are always welcome to use other browser that you trust the most and use only brave for browsing contents externally or without needing to login your social media and other private account  .

Well, it's based on chromium so expect a few bugs here and there. Although it seems a bit odd for you to experience such a problem on this browser, perhaps it's your system's fault?
Opening a lot of tabs does eat a lot of resources so make sure to keep it in moderation especially if your system can't handle it.

I've been using this browser for months and it's smooth compared to google chrome. Regarding on rewards, I don't care too much cause I'm using this site as my ad blocker for searching on the web.

I am using the Brave browser for a few weeks now. Not made use of my referral account. I have only won 0.6 BAT. I have stopped opening my email on it because I received a warning message that the site was not safe.
The extensions like MetaMask and Authy do not work well in this browser. Both create a security alert. I hope the developers pay attention to these details that I imagine they are aware of.

I started using Brave a couple of weeks ago and I like it as a browser and it's nice to get some passive crypto earnings, but I don't seem to get many Brave ads. I set it to display 5 ads per hour but I don't think I've ever got that. Sometimes it's only one or two. Is there any way to make sure you get the full amount? Is there some formula that they use? How I get ads on Brave is really inconsistent. I downloaded the android browser and I get much more adverts than the desktop version. Often they even pop up when I'm not even using the browser which doesn't happen on the desktop. Hopefully the advertisers that use it will grow quickly because I'm getting kinda bored of the same old adverts popping up time and time again  :D :D :D.

You need min of 25 BAT
Once you do that you must create an account with Uphold who holds your BAT and allows you to sell your BAT or buy even more (which is what I do).

When you use Brave browser, Google and facebook trackers are cut off, so they can't collect information on which websites you visit and how long you stay etc.
