Title: How to choose a good project to invest.

How to choose a good investment project
I understand that many of us do not suggest investing in ICO but I have to say not every ICO scam, invest in IEO no matter  the  exchange is, it is better than investing in ICO.
However, these steps help to judge the project.
1.   The team behind the project, it is extremely important to see who guides the project, experiments, are they able to implement the road map.
2.   The idea of the project, what the project solve, is the project can change something or introduce something new.
3.   What has been done and are there any steps the team is taking to prove credibility.
4.   Is the project is ICO or IEO, IEO will be better.
5.   How many exchanges the project listing.
6.   The type of the exchanges(however this is not issues as some project cannot go with top exchanges, top exchanges required a lot money).
7-     check (twitter, facebook, telegram, website metrics).
8-     It will be good if the project has ann on bitcointalk forum.
9-     Pay attention to what the team promised, it should not be far from reality or promises to enrich or quick profit (such as 200% profit).
10-   Look for old project in the market at least 3 month old.

I have already read all kinds of tips about investing on ICO or IEO. But at the same time, I have also read all kinds of complaints about having scammed or victimized by ICO or IEO in so many ways.

To those who are planning to invest in ICO or IEO, plan hard and well. Or if you do not have plans and have no plan to study the available ICOs or IEOs first before investing, do not invest at all. Buy the existing coins which are already listed on exchanges, have good volume and market cap, and with existing products and development.

I think with what you say is not complete enough to require research, but I think it is enough to research in certain parts. in doing the analysis I think it would be better if doing more research in the team's because in my opinion a great team will be able to make good project ideas can be realized correctly

Choosing a new project and investing are you ready for all the risks?

Choosing a project that you need to know about and really researching the project, I think you already know in choosing a project because you have mentioned the points, what is clear is that investing in ICO is not too risky and it is better to look for IEO in large exchanges despite having to wait a long time.

3.   What has been done and are there any steps the team is taking to prove credibility.

This is important, but unfortunately many people don't care about this. they are fixated on other things such as listing in which exchanges they will later on, or how many bonuses they get, and rarely do they even find out the details of the project team members. they believe the project is in big exchange, but they forget shit projects like bitconnect come from that.

so start looking into all the important things thoroughly so that no one is fooled again.

OP's tips is quite good and will help others to determine a good project but I found a post from user lobat999 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=333091) that I highly recommend for everyone to follow in order to identify good and scam projects.

Here are some of my questions which could serve as a checklist in determining whether an ICO is right for investment or not or whether its a scam or not?:

1. Does it have a sound business plan and original and not a copy paste idea?
2. Does it already have an MVP?
3. Does it have a Github repository already?
4. Do the development team are capable in delivering the product?
5. Does the team's identities verifiable or have been verified?
6. Does it have a realistic roadmap?
7. Does the team give utmost importance to their promises and perform deliverables?
8. Does the project exercise more transparency on project related matters?
9. Does the project's have excellent and justifiable tokenomics?
10. Does the project have positive peer reviews among trustworthy members of the community?

This is a good list of tips. However, the most important thing is attentiveness when researching a project. You should pay attention to any suspicious elements when researching a project. Also, you should not lose your head from the promises of the project.

indeed everything you say is important. but I think it can be faked by scammers.

team, they can make it look like all the team members in the project look convincing.
what they have done to prove its credibilitye, if attending conferences/exhibitions or even appearing in public including the way they do it. This can also be done by scammers, you can see there are many projects that do this but in the end it turned out to be a scam. one that I remember, namely the Envion project.

and others I think are the same, scammers who have the funds can do all those things. so I think instead of investing in projects that want to start IEO/ICO, it's better to invest in projects that are already 3/4 months in the market. we can see the true quality and potential. so the risk of loss is slightly reduced.

+1, market condition, we all know in the 2018 ago. no matter how coin you invest in or you hold

if the market condition is bearish, it would be down too. so, we are better to wait in bullish market

because it can ease the project (even shit project) to be better in price case

I would like to highlight about the exchange part of it as it does matters because there are so many low-end level exchanges which just kills the value of token with bot trading and honestly I would say exchange is most important things after the development team and the core project. There are some good mid level exchanges and investing into exchange listing definitely worth it.

A good project should be able to list on reputable exchange. Most of the big exchange will not like to list a crap project. So if I see one that has already partnered with a big exchange, I will definitely invest in it, because I will be more assured of a good outcome.

It's definitely true. Some projects are making too good to be true promises just to attract investors. We shouldn't get hooked to flowery words from some developers. We also have to check their legitimacy and every developer's reputation. You have to be analytic and check every doubtful detail of a project before you invest.

Indeed, maybe because they think they can easily deceive other people particularly those people who doesn't have enough understanding about the possible problems they might encounter on choosing a good project. They usually take advantage on them that is why we need to be very attentive these days because we can't easily tell their true intentions. Actually doing some kind of research might help because you can see every information that will guide you on making the right decision.

This had been discussed a lot of times. Most investors should do their homework before investing in any project and it is true that there are still some good projects. Reviewing a project before investing lessens the risk of investors giving away their money to sketchy projects.

There are still scam projects even when the project token were listed already in exchanges, this had happened in the past so don't be too easy on them. Team normally will keep the communication between them and the community but after the IEO or ICO some of them can't be found in the ANN thread to respond to the questions. They seem to ignore the forum where they use to please people to listen to them just so they can attract people, you can just find them on telegram but don't even reply to your questions there.

There is no way you know they are scam until you see them gone with the wind.

In a market condition that is not conducive, it is indeed very risky if carelessly choosing an ICO project. There is already much evidence, although initially promising, but ended dramatically, because the market is still saturated, investors are reluctant to do their best support so that prices are difficult to rise, market capacity is getting lower. So the best choice, for now, is IEO held in trusted global exchanges, such as Binance.

OP's advice is helpful, but fraudsters have learned that beforehand so they are getting smarter at covering up their falseness. Project scams also have an impact on real projects that are actually potential, but due to circumstances that are not profitable so the target is difficult to achieve.

Most new projects write down the main target market that they are targeting but are very difficult to happen. therefore for point number 5 I think it is quite important because if they make these targets the project must develop to their maximum potential. but to reach the main target market must go through several stages in order to be achieved

I cannot advise anyone to go to specific exchange, a lot of exchanges in the market, and binance has a long list and waiting of new project to listing, and in the same time listing on binance cost a lots, it may be very difficult for some project to go with binance we should be fair about this.

Yeah. This are valid stuffs to check. But everyone should keep in mind that even after all this research, there is no guarantee that your investment will be profitable. Well, no investment should be guaranteed profitable. These guides increase ones chance of investing in a potentially profitable Project.

And, about the exchanges, that might be optional. I don't think it is too important. Mind you, projects might tell you the exchanges they will be listing, but they could be deceiving you. Most times, they just tell you one, so you will feel at ease.

You are right in your opinion about binance. even now I am now very difficult to find the best investment project. finally, I also have to decide to trade first while waiting for a new project with full confidence to invest. if I have even the slightest doubt it's better not to invest there. for the moment I am not investing and have not gotten my best project.

Survivability and communication are important do not forget about it.
What will the project do to survive in our current market and what will the project do to compete with its competitors while building trust at the same time. A project can not be labeled as a good project if they do not have a good communication with their community. Community is important for the project because it decides the future and the life of the project.

If any exchange can't list on top biggest exchanges we still have medium rated exchanges that are very good too with no watch trade or fake volume either for example stex exchange, which i think its the best altcoin exchange so far, the trading fee and withdrawal fee are very low

Nowadays, high quality projects do attract seed or soft cap from private or angel investors and this has become a good point to choose a new project as well not only it boosts investors confidence but also it shows the seriousness of team and their capabilities even before their project is fully functional.

8-     It will be good if the project has ann on bitcointalk forum.
This doesn't guarantee that a project is good. There are tons of projects that made an ANN in the forum but it didn't changed them to be a legit project because many of them ended as a scam project.

10-   Look for old project in the market at least 3 month old.
And the maturity or tenure of a project doesn't also have a guarantee. In the past, there were projects that has been known into the community and established but suddenly they've turned into a scam.

I always think that liquidity is the main thing in every investment decision we will make. In my opinion, if we want to choose investment in the crypto market, the factor of the volume of transaction needs to be considered because this indicates that the project is actively traded in the market.

Investing on IEO isn't always a sure win profit mate. There are lots of IEO projects on mid range exchange that dont prosper after trading open. Yes, not all because huge investors are picky about this exchange and not all have the same caliber in processing this token crowdfunding. I prefer to do an investment in huge IEO only such as binance.

These two could be somehow reliable and at the same time not. There too many ways to be considered as well. Majority do research about the ratings but I don't trust ratings though they might be already bought by the project in order for them to look good enough for people. I highly considered a project that manage by known people in this forum. Although the probability of fraud is there but at least they been considered by people whom I know trustworthy.

We hard to choose and good project to make an investment in these days. because most projects are getting different types of scams end of the token sale. That's right, we have to do a good resceh before making an investment about the project, team, future updates etc. The IEOs are doing great work in these days. Some popular exchanges hosting IEOs like Binance launchpad getting a good attention of investors. Some investors don't care about research they only have the Binance launchpad and quick profit. The important thing is the exchange also can play a good role in the profits.

choosing a new altcoin project is indeed risky, because the concepts and technology developed need to be thoroughly examined, and the credibility of the team and the project must be considered. We cannot directly invest without research, because it will waste our money and time. Good projects are currently listing on large exchanges to attract investors, but there are also several projects that are doing IEO and ICO together to maximize token sales.

I think something needs to be added for point number 1 as we also have to verify whether their team members are real or fake. Because maybe they took other people's photos and also made a fake experience for their team. In addition, if they are a legitimate company, surely they can provide proof of licenses or permits to establish their company legally in the country. If they are a large company they usually put their office address on the website or other media, now our job is to check whether their office really exists or just a hoax to fool investors. This is a bit difficult to do, but if you live in that country, you better visit their office to see more details.

honestly I don't like to invest in new coins other than investing in IEO binance, there are many problems if new coins are introduced as well as my advice to invest in coins that have been in the market for a long time and as long as we know the top 10 marketcap are the best coins to be invest.

I think we only need to analyze their community to be the most reasonable. A project does not need too many members in telegram, but it needs quality investors. For example, there are some rich people that you know are involved in joint investment with the project and the fomo is very strong. Those are the most essential to purchasing a project's token because the fomo will easily make x5 x10 value in a short time.

And in choosing a good ICO project, I consider the activeness of the team behind it in responding and updating every update about the project to me to make an assessment of whether the project is really active in developing the project.

Personally, I think that in order to choose a good project for investment, you need to study the information about the project. But is it really so? The fact is that the project can be closed at any time. And then it turns out that the investment was empty. Personally, I think that investing in a project is the same as playing the lottery. And they just hope that this project will bring a positive result.

Way too many steps. I don't think you have to go in such several steps if the project itself has been listed in known exchanges. It is somehow half real at such point. On the other hand, as you stated old projects those atleast or more than 3 months old in my perception are some close to being real. Although that was not the basis but somehow they could be the foundation.

Even good projects can drop in price yet many people are running away because of price drop, the fact is when price drops its a good chance to buy more at cheaper price, good projects always have good teams that put investors first, they always want to hear people's opinion and some times they brings what people want to reality

I disagree with you on a statement that every IEO is better than ICO. Have you seen the stats of IEOs that took place on exchanges like Latoken and Probit? They are doing -x20 directly after listing, so in my opinion any ICO is better than IEO on such trash exchanges.

To me, having a good team and whitepaper makes other factors superfluous. Whether it is an IEO or an ICO, or how many people are following it on social networks, are not the factors necessary to measure how good the project is. You can make IEO at any exchange by giving them the money they want. Or by bounty's rules, you can force tens of thousands to follow on social networks.

In my opinion, the team that works on a project greatly influences the success of the project, and from all the explanations you make, it is very influential on the team as well, but now the ICO project managed by an experienced team will eventually also be a scam, so for now Of all the projects that are running, only some can achieve success, I think this is all because of altcoin that never goes up.

There are many ways to be able to find out what projects are good. Usually you can see from the concept of the project from the existing whitepaper that can be very important information so that you read carefully before investing.
whitepaper is still one way, but reading whitepaper is not enough to help us know the project is good or not.
some things that are important are social media activities, social media activeness in a project shows that the project has a great goal to expand its project information on the internet.
not only that, understanding the team's experience is also necessary so that we can measure how the project's potential is in the future, because without an experienced team the project will be difficult to develop.

2.   The idea of the project, what the project solve, is the project can change something or introduce something new.
I think this is the most important point and the factors that influence the success of the project, this world needs ideas and solutions or the creation of new innovations. especially in the field of crypto, innovation / something new is very influential on the success of the project, this is powerful enough to attract investors, so that the funds or crowdfunding is sufficient. Both ICO / STO / IEO if they find new solutions / innovations, this is usually the hallmark of the project that will be successful later.

People think a good team makes a coin go up, they are wrong. People think a good technology makes a coin go up, they are wrong. People think good blockchain makes a coin go up, they are wrong. People think big funding would make a coin go up, they are wrong. You can name whatever you think makes a coin go up and it is all wrong.

Do you want to know what makes a coin go up? The buyers. If there are tons of buyers who are willing to pay market prices to buy a coin then the price will go up. Why would people become buyers and buy from the market price and attribute to that coin going up? There must be some hype about that coin, there must be some demand. How would you make a demand for a coin? By having a lot of people in your community, if you convince a lot of people that means the price would go up and that means you need to have a huge community.

Each of the investors have their own criteria on choosing the right project for them to invest. Some do consider the popularity of the project, some are into the exchanges planned by the project, some are interested on the long term plans, and the likes. These basis are all correct but one thing that an investor should be warned off is scam projects. Some projects may appear to be unrealistically profitable which may decieve the investors. Investors should be mindful of this concern more because some people are disregarding such possibility because they are only looking on the "profit" that they would get from projects

Nowadays everyone think smart only so no one is participate the worst projects. But we can participate any trusted projects and never think about the money because we have low also but anyone can earn more in crypto platform. This year many promising projects are available in the market so we can invest many reliable projects on this moment but we can read the OP post and pick the desired projects.

I have already read all kinds of tips about investing on ICO or IEO. But at the same time, I have also read all kinds of complaints about having scammed or victimized by ICO or IEO in so many ways.
On the money, brother.

If you want solid advice regarding ico's or even ieo's, just stay away from them.  You're either going to be scammed or you're going to be holding a bag of worthless tokens from a worthless project, which the vast majority of them are.  The devs plagiarize whitepapers, hide their identities, and try to spark interest in their project by creating an ANN thread that sounds wonderful.  Then they advertise it using bounty hunters who would do anything for a few cents worth of tokens...and those people are lucky if they even get the tokens.

Once the project tanks, they start another one and repeat the same cycle.  I have seen it any number of times in the past 2 years.  These scammers only want to enrich themselves and no one else, and you better believe that's true.  Just stay away.

I was looking at your point 10. If the project is already 3 months old in the market then you're kinda' missing the early bird opportunity don't you? A really great "blue-chip" project will get its funding very fast if they're legitimate and know what they're doing. Most often than not the majority of the funds for this kind of projects are done through private investments from venture capitals and not from retail bitcointalk investors.

Even if your rules are good for a beginner I think the era of ICO is over for the retail investors.

What makes an Investor flawed is skipping the part where they get to know who manages and who are the people behind a project, they only focuses with how much profit the project could offer to them, totally compromising the safety and the credibility a project must have before being qualified as a project worth investing.Investors and al the crypto enthusiasts should know how essential it is to do a background check, not only for the safety of their investments and assets but also for the sake of building the world here in crypto space where we are all a contibutor.

It is always very important to do a little bit of background check before putting your hard earned money in any project. There are many projects out there that promises great returns to investors but they don't usually end up fulfilling their promise. Sometimes experience is very key, try and consult your close associates who have invested  who are more experienced in this field.

Yea probably a good idea to avoid projects that have a poorly managed bounty campaign, or if bounty hunters are allocated too huge a budget with no lockup period.

Dumpers gonna dump. Bounties are good for marketing and getting the coins into people's hands, but they need to be done right.

This is quite insightful, kudos to the author. I feel investors are just to caught up with failed project to realise or actually see that not all project fails or not all project scams. If chances can be given to new start-ups, then i believe we can see changes in the way things are currently. I know it is not actually easy to part with funds (that was meant to bring in new funds) to failed projects but we should remember that the good project out there started from somewhere.

Bounty campaigns never have a strict effect on the project, unless project is based on the customer satisfaction or kind of that. Bounty managers are only responsible for managing effectively the campaign in order to maintain the marketing moves. The best projects have a token lock period from my experience, but the effect of the marketing strategy depends on the general investment conditions.
Token lock period is useless IMO. It just affects bounty hunters negatively in most cases because ivestors are being allowef to move their tokens first thus if they dump the market then those whose token were locked have nothing to do but to accept the fact that their token's value is only like that. Anyway, we all have different perspective and there is no certain right or wrong.

For every failed project, many investors lose hope in the industry. Maybe, the key to success in this industry is to have realistic expectations and be critical on examining projects to invest. You cannot just masquerade in the market, choosing projects by your greed, and expect everyone to comfort you because you got "scammed". Having the initiative to protect your interest by not being fooled by unrealistic promises of projects is the beginning of success.

All the points you have mentioned can be faked easily. We have seen projects that were public ending up scamming. We have seen projects that were showing "fake" progress. There were even projects out there that built users trust and end up scamming them. Just knowing the idea of the project won't help. People can come out with bullshit projects which are impossible to achieve, but then there are people who gets impressed listening to those ideas and invests on the project. But in the long run, it seems that they fail to deliver what they promised, thus investors losing money.
Even projects that are a year old can scam without any prior alert.

You make a lot of good points. But I think there are some people who ignore it all. The success of a project is seen from the price that rises when entering the exchange so that it gives benefits for those who buy it at ICO. This happens because there have been many disappointments of investors in projects that have already been done. And I think that's a natural thing because everyone doesn't want their money to just disappear.

Although I would not recommend you to invest in new projects, but you have indicated the right points. But if you still want to invest, it is better to study everything very carefully and if you don't like something in the project, you do not need to take risks.

Fake and manipulation will be always there. Everything can be manipulated or faked easily, for example: "softcap" or "hardcap". That's why it is very important to know the track record, reputation, or background of every team member of the project. If they seem can be trust-able, then it is okay to consider joining. But you are better to not join if you get some of these problems: they have bad reputations, their identities are not clearly described, or there is a fake photo of the team members.

I think that although investors have seen from the whitepaper and the concepts they have developed that the project can still potentially be a scam, there is now a good method that can help investors to make direct investments to the exchange with the IEO method so that the existence of this method can help investors to choose projects interesting and when you want to invest then you should be able to choose an exchange place that has a very good reputation and security such as a Binance or Kucoin exchange place that often holds IEO and potentially good projects because the exchange platform that already has a good reputation will not provide IEO bad because it will make his name worse and make the place of exchange collapse.

there is one thing that is rarely considered by the team, investors, or participants. namely the product, how the team released the product that really could attract buyers. indeed, the team that is there is important, ideas, ideas, exchangers are also all important. but if the product is not really there is no interest after launching to the market exchanger, everything that is fought will be in vain (or in other words, like other projects, only tokens are launched to the market exchanger, then forgotten). it will hurt, because a good project should be able to get a good trading volume. it can all be achieved if the product has valuable value, I mean not only in the market, but the product can be used for other purposes such as online purchases, top ups, or others in order to attract the interest of the wider community not only those in the world. crypto only. because if you rely on the scope of the crypto world, new projects will immediately lose demand, because there are many more coins in the top 10 markets that have a better long-term investment future.

Join IEO at big exchange like Binance often brings very good profits for investors and you can trade after the project ends. I think the only advantage IEO brings to investors is that it does not take too long to wait and if the exchange has a high trading volume, the coin will usually increase very high on the first trading day. This is only available in leading IEO projects and those are very profitable projects for investors.

Of course, you also need to research before investing because there are many scam projects are appearing in this market. In my opinion you should only join IEO at the proposed exchanges in this market.

IEO coin listed on Binance exchange market is not give guarantee for coin have higher price after listing, depend with how serious IEO coin team want to make investor happy for investing with their coin, binance only listed coin without can make price up or down because depend with seller, buyer and coin owner how to raise up, last IEO on Binance failed with lower price after listing on exchange market.

Good projects not can be based on what exchange they are listed. Although it could be a good preference. What I'm saying is people should care about the platform itself not just the price on the market. But the era now is changing, more popular more legit. This is quite funny, probably some old timer here in forum were shocked of the trend now. People dont use codes and not checking the vitals now rather they concern more about the price tag.

indeed the price seems to be a benchmark for the success of a project, even though I think how the project can grow and still exist is the most important part. with the price rising, making investors think it is a good project. for that we must always analyze the project for the long term

I would also add that if you will not give out or even sacrifice time and effort to scrutinize the project as a whole, its product, the persons that composed the development team and their individual backgrounds, the structure, and so on, you should not even try investing in either ICO or IEO. You are probably going to lose in that investment of yours.

It is always good to invest the coins only after listing in the exchanges because we have seen many ICO projects scammed the investors without listing the coin in exchanges. In the same way, we have to follow their developments otherwise, it is impossible to make profits on our investment.

Although an investor who chooses to invest after listing may not enjoy some bonuses offered during the token sales, it is sometimes good to invest after the token gets listed on an exchange. This helps to avoid the coins which do not get listed at all after the token sales.

For a long time now I haven't seen a good project that's unique in nature. Most current projects in the market are just copy cart project because they possess no unique features. Quite a number of projects made it through because of a slight difference, this difference can be seen when a potential investor research deep into the project and not be lazy.

IEO and ICO projects are the same, research into those projects is the ultimate for every investor in regard to this industry.

indeed everything you say is important. but I think it can be faked by scammers.

team, they can make it look like all the team members in the project look convincing.
what they have done to prove its credibilitye, if attending conferences/exhibitions or even appearing in public including the way they do it.

I am one of the scam victims of the Envion project. Their project was very convincing so I invested a lot there. I lost a lot of money there so I no longer trusted ICO to invest. I also strongly agree if we should invest in a project that has been running for 3/4 months in the market, but I choose in a large market such as binance.

I think with what you say is not complete enough to require research, but I think it is enough to research in certain parts. in doing the analysis I think it would be better if doing more research in the team's because in my opinion a great team will be able to make good project ideas can be realized correctly
If you think this not enough, you can add any suggestion and i may add it, we want to help others.
the experience of the team / developer and partners is an important factor in a project, be it IEO / ICO if the team has a good reputation in managing previous projects, I think this project is good to follow. I'm just going to add a little about financial management, I mean don't use all your money just to invest in a project. instead you can use money for real investments like btc.

Yes Asus09 is correct, if indeed the developer cannot guarantee investors about profit, what is the point of buying their coins or tokens? even though it's through IEO on a large exchange.
Therefore, the problem that I am pointing out here is a matter of how investor profits can be guaranteed. Because just doing research alone does not necessarily provide financial benefits for investors. At least that's what I have thought so far.

I don't agree because i have joined some ICOs before and they have a team and experience in managing a project but still a fail. It really depends on how they market and development of a project.

It would much wiser to invest in bitcoin and some altcoins that has potential than joining an ICO.

Even though any experienced developer in the field remains, if ICO sales will not be successful because investors already know that ICO is no longer profitable and why should trust ICO, just look at this year many projects fail because of ICO sales.

All of your listed points are well explained but the thing which seems missing in your list is financial backup, which is really important nowadays.

Good projects can't be based on so many things but people keep insisting to base them on those, market cap, marketing, exchange listing.

Look at Binance for example. We more or less see it as one of the best exchanges out there, and yet they listed crapcoins on Launchpad because of course they were paid to do so. And those projects were recently delisted. Where are they now? Silent.

all that is said is the point of how to choose a good project, but when new members read this, of course, it might make them a little confused.

a little extra, I want to emphasize that before investing in ICO / IEO / STO, that you need to know the benefits you can get from the products they produce. it certainly will make the project survive in the long run. In addition, no matter how many exchangers receive the coin, if it is a bad exchanger, it will not have an effect, even if few receive the coin, but if it is a popular exchanger, it is certain that the project has a plus.

The price can't reflect how good the project but 'HOW" much ROI that has been made by the coin. It can be an excellent point to determine whether it's a great coin or not as you can see almost whole of right platforms already brought decent profit to the investors and these days that looks so easy to identify. So many coins are trading at the high price, and then they are getting plunged to the bottom instantly.

The project can grow even more and exist in the cryptocurrency caused by more people buy the coins, and that makes the ecosystem of such project will be running. The analysation should be put to the utility usage as the main feature that will develop any platform. So many platforms can be considered as securities when they do not want to be called a security asset.

it is really needed a platform that is useful for the community because the project will continue to run if the platform is made widely accessed by people. and the listed exchanges are also important for the investments you make, if the exchanges are well targeted then you can consider the project

A good project is often sought by many investors and if they are willing to take the time to answer investors questions then surely that project will gain a lot of great trust. I have researched a lot of projects before investing and really projects that have many big partners or have many famous people involved often get a lot of attention from people. Actually you need to be more concerned with IEO and if listed at the big exchange then don't miss that opportunity.

There are many risks to investing and think many times before making a decision because each of your decisions will directly affect your profits in a short time.

When selecting a project before investing, i always look at the project's whitepaper and team members first. I read the whitepaper of the project. And then i compare that project with other projects in which it has a similar vision and mission. Then i search the team members of the project. I investigate the previous work of these members in their social media accounts. And i try to check how successful these platforms are. In addition, i also check how active the project's offical social media accounts are, if the project is traded on any exchange then i am checking these exchange too and if the project is organizing an ICO them i am checking the raitings of this ico. Finally, i read the comments and criticisms about the project on social media.

Is there anything new? Almost all of these scammers can copy and easily snatch away all the money they collect.
So for me the most important thing is to have regulation!

Regulations that give scammers the fear of using ICOs to scam investors. In the event that the campaign becomes a scam, we know that we will be held accountable and guaranteed to return all the money we have invested in their fake ICO.

Even you check the project properly and it looks legitimate because it has a promising team members, good website, good whitepaper and etc. Some of it could be a scam because i have experienced participating in ICO projects that looks legitimate, but in the end i didn't received any rewards because the team members run off and didn't reply, that is why you should not be easy to fool for projects that is too good to be true and you better think wisely before investing or participate in a project.

Crypto regulation could somewhat help but I'm not thinking it only be a solution of scamming projects existed today. It somehow needs our own perceptions of a certain project that we would like to invest with. They will surely wipe out if we never support them and stop promoting their project as what bounty hunters (mostly) do.

The most important thing to acquire in choosing projects to invest is to know more about the project and how it helps the community otherwise it never gives beneficial to us and ended up into scam.

Choosing a project to invest is not really difficult but the difficulty now is to look for good project to invest because many of projects now are not good to have or make investments so now we can only choose the best, look for the legitimate bounty to invest and have a good and potential for the future.

I don't think you need to know who the team is. Scammers don't care if you know who they are. Its just their mentality.
You need to know that their project is worth something not just something on paper. I dont think social media presence is that important either. Not when determining if a project is a scam or not. Scammers keep the telegram chats manned to give the illusion of success and helpfulness. They lure you into a false sense of comfort.

Good strategies if I may say but do you know why it may not work, Scammers are also reading every post and are also making necessary adjustments. They are always ahead of time. Most times we just need to see green light before investing in any project irrespective of their promises.

This a wonderful guide, thanks OP. I also want to highlight what you said (at 9). If it is too good to be true, that will be our cue to doubt and question the legitimacy of the project. There is no such thing as free lunch. Find projects that have realistic objectives and promises, otherwise, that project is most likely a scam.

I agree that the team behind a project determines how the project will produce the product. The most factor in a project is the product produced and this depends on the vision and dedication of the developer team. If a project has a dedicated team, I think the project will be successful and be glimpsed by big exchangers

I have now stopped investing in projects that conduct ICOs, because almost all of them cannot collect softcap or simply turn out to be scammers and therefore now I only invest in companies that conduct IEO`s on top exchanges and now I have no problems and constantly get profit.

I think all the suggestions that have been written are correct and complete so that we are more careful in choosing IEO or ICO projects. but still when the project cannot develop the token will become shitcoin and die. I myself would rather invest in the top 20 coins because they have a lower risk than investing in a new project.

very complete from the few points you have mentioned above, that before investing in any project make sure that the project team is transparent and responsible and it is important that they have a good reputation in prioritizing the project. and also always be careful because investing is a very high risk, you must always be selective in choosing projects that you want to invest.

I have also read many types of complaints about scams or being victims of ICOs or IEOs in many ways. And not only ICOs, risks and scams always exist around cryptocurrencies, even if you learn and choose carefully, risks are always potential. Phishing always bites you, no project is 100% perfect.

Dinosaur separate board here in this Bitcoin talk to find the good and scam projects.
It will be really helpful to educate ways to find the scammers.
If you able to find the cameras and segregate them away then automatically you will find the best projects to invest.

I know for sure that now it is very difficult to choose a successful project. Of course, you need to choose according to your criteria, but even this will not guarantee that the project will be successful. Now there are a lot of scammers and cheating by project admins. All this is alarming and striking a lot of mistrust. The main thing is to realize that there are always risks, even if the project looks promising.

One of the most interesting solutions I follow is Guts. And this is the solution I would definitely recommend you to have a look at. In few words, GUTS uses blockchain technology to create a transparent ticketing ecosystem, where disgraceful secondary market prices and ticket fraud are non-existent. The best part is that the platform is very simple so everyone can use it! And I recommend you to check out their website to explore more, just Google

There are a lot of ways on how you can find a good project. If you are really eager on looking for one, you should know the protocol of the things you should take note of. First of all, it is necessary that you check the whitepaper first, make sure also that the team is well knowned and could be really trusted and next, focus on the roadmap so you could identify if you're investment woud really go on something worthy of your time and effort. Don't enter a project if you are not really knowledgeable about it or else you'll end up making mistakes.

Are we going to consider old projects just because they were already 3 months in existence? that's a basis that should be change and many of the old projects were either scam or no potential. It's no guarantee to say that looking for those kind of projects will make you end up with a legitimate and very good projects. It's a basis which is a sort of not really reliable one. IMO.

Maybe there is no project that can't comply with all of those rules but there was a few projects that almost perfect and can comply with all of the regulations.
What he needs to do to follow his analyzation. Analyzation is really needed in this case and it acts as the important thing. But there are few indicators to take it as a way to get the best coin right now. It should be on top 100 CMC.

I also check all these points that you have described. I believe that a good project does not have the right to make a mistake and it should take a very serious approach to the development of its idea, the design of its social networks, websites and the like. Especially at this time.

You should not consider that coin is a small coin. the fundamental behind ofcoin seems good but for me, the liqudity ofcoin in the market looks very small. What you needed to invest small money on it and you should forget to invest a lot of money on ofcoin. It was getting a huge increase caused by the hype from its creator linzhu technology.

I also prefer ieo over the icos. Cause in my opinion ieos are more secure and more profitable at this time. Now the topic choseing a project is very important. And it's a hard job. I firstly see if the idea of the project is good or not then go for the platform it's coming. Then the most important thing are they active and have something to deliver then the team. This are the main aspect you have to check. Still you make wrong decision sometimes.

Very well thought up write up. I have learnt a thing or two from this. I strongly buy the idea of teams credibility. It will cost us nothing to actually do a little research aabout the team of any choosen project you want to invest in. Go through their social media handles read about them, their accomplishments and experiences. A hard working team always takes their community aling and will never allow their project to go down the drain.

looking for data in detail is indeed important to know the investment made, if you do not get the data in detail you should rethink to invest in the project. quite easy but difficult to do because we have to read the whitepaper in full

Even you check the projects whitepaper, website, team members and etc. And you think it looks good it doesn't mean it can be trusted because there are still possibilities that the project is a scam. I experienced investing in a projects that are good to be true, but in the end it is a scam, so i learned that even you read all the projects information it still cannot be considered a legitimate project. It is the reason why i stop participating in ICO projects due to scam projects and it is really difficult nowadays to trust new projects even they are good.

Invest based on market trends, and what you believe will be the next big thing.

Personally, I believe DEX projects will be the next thing, as we've seen a multiude of new DEX's popping up lately. I'm sticking with what I think is the best one for now though. Blocknet, who's been developing this since they launched in 2014.

I completely agree on your ninth point, because all these promises about excess profits are very blurry. When I was a newcomer to the cryptocurrency market, I was very led to this, because I immediately want to earn a lot of money. But it’s best when choosing to simply rely on all the principles that you have added and be content with the profit that projects with adequate conditions give, but then this profit will be real and this investment will make it possible to earn and not lose.

In fact, it all depends on the market at the moment the project comes out, if bitcoin flies to the moon, and altcoins try to catch up with it, then you can go into such high-risk projects with super profit, I made a lot of money in 2017-2018, but then he lost everything due to the crushing fall of bitcoin. But now in this market your strategy will work and it is better not to turn to other strategies. Well, still, when the market begins to grow, you need to take risks.

Good thing you know that.
But we can't just disclose to open up our chances to new exchanges if they have reputable and supportive team members cause they might also able to compete for those old projects existed. Trust can be hard to give and yes, it is only be given to those who could give assurance of its returns otherwise, we'll be bringing regrets in the end.

Investing in IEO projects has not been that easy as you say here because those top exchanges has not been releasing projects as much as ICO still does, so it can't be possible to be participating in them easily just like that and sometimes, when these top exchanges like binance eventually released their IEO.

Maybe one or two in 2 months, you will see that there is so much rush for it that makes people buy it out easily and if it was to be a physical purchase, I am sure that there would have been lots of stampede, which is why I don't like this IEO of a thing that much because every time I want to be a part of it, the chance to easily get it is limited unlike ICO. ICO actually is still the best, and I just wish that there would be a law that will actually protect investors against scammers.

don't forget to mention the project partners, because partners also influence the growth of the project, if many large companies participate in the project it can certainly attract the attention of investors. then, how to manage your financial management i mean, you need to consider this before investing in any project. my advice is don't use all your money on only one project. You can set aside some to invest in real coins that are already on the market

The team is the main core of successful projects and I always pay attention to the team members for choosing the good ones. Top exchanges also charge big amounts for listing or for the launching IEO. At least 1-year-old projects usually have a better approach in my view but I look at my IEO investmetns for the long term. Listing on the small exchanges is not going to add good points to the reputation of the project.

10-   Look for old project in the market at least 3 month old.

thank you for the information, maybe a beginner like me about investing is helped by your information and I will remember it and help other beginners

Thats true, if launching IEO on exchangers that have small volumes will be very difficult to get funds but if successful then they will be very easy to pay lists on exchangers that have large volumes such as kucoin or okex. IEO in Binance which i think is very good in raising funds

Some of the points you said are indeed needed to be considered before participating in a new project. Do not rush in participating in a project, we need to observe how the project, how the team behind it, what the project will do to continue to grow and achieve success, we must pay attention to a few things in detail about the project.

Exchanges like Binance, Okex, and Kucoin are big factors for investors but they should know that it will not give any assurance that the project will succeed in the future which is why I don't base my judgment on those big exchanges because there are still worthy projects that conduct their IEO in unpopular exchanges, for me what really matters is how the project is and not the popularity of the exchange.

There are actually lots of projects but you cannot just pick one because you want it. I recommend to you that you should study that particular project so that you can know if they are going to succeed, you can actually recognize that by simply looking and reading their whitepaper, whitepaper is very important for a particular project because it is what investors want for them to be able to know important information about that particular project. So you should read that, you can also visit their website and look at their plans all throughout the project starts. You can also look at the reviews of the previous investors if they are really legit.

Yes as you say the team plays the biggest role in the Project and I think we have to wait to see the evolution of sales
but the ico sector remains a little risky

Choosing the right crypto project is not an easy thing since there are no standard protocols for that matter. Its a mixture of both luck and DYOR. IEOs are better options for investment since they are free from scams.

I bet that the scammers would try to think of something to counter those list you made, but hey it would be a good knowledge for newbie investors.
Just to add it up that you should try to invest your time reading its WP thoroughly, and run it in a search engine in case plagiarism was done. Consider also the discounts made in token sales. Does it attempt to make you by many tokens because of the huge discounts?

The best thing to do in order to be safe is just to invest in these new projects with an amount that you can afford to lose. Some projects appear legit and promising but won't perform well when they get to the market.

That’s really an amazing way to get Knowledge by learning from others. The information provided in the above statement is really useful for us we should ask for all those qualities in any project. As we are working on a digital system where people mostly scam others but we should be careful and just ask for real websites. To get the real and fair site we should make research and explore Google but don’t trust anyone blindly.
