Just finished swapping the 0.00075 BTC I received from SwapMixer for LTC. Was a very clean process, as soon as my BTC deposit had confirmed I was able to swiftly convert it to LTC at a known exchange rate and then instantly withdraw it to an address I control. I see that there's options for destroying your session straight after which is nice, assuming they keep no records this is a decent service.

I'd suggest seeing if you can change the secret key to a sequence of words. Would be nice. :)

First of all, many thanks for giving us the chance to try out your service and give a personal review. You gotta appreciate services who are actively looking for honest reviews in order to find out what could be improved.

Let me start by saying that I am not the most technical guy around and I have not been using mixing services regularly. For sure I havent tried out a service yet where I am actually trading BTC for Altcoins.

Website Design

Yeah, obviously the very first step is visiting the website and right now, the design is obviously nothing special. To be exact, it is very, very basic. Personally I dont mind if a service like this does not come with a super-fancy webdesign as long as all the rest works out as it should. Website loading speed is great and thats one of the benefits of basic designs. Still, you could of course improve your design when you get to that and you probably should. ;)

The Process

One of the advantages of your very minimalistic webdesign is of course that you dont have too many options as a visitor. There is the obvious "START NEW SESSION" button and even my grandma would understand that this is where it all begins. ;) Alternatively you have an option to enter a session key in order to restore a previous session, which is cool in case something went wrong, you had to stop in between or whatever. Theres really nothing else you can do on the frontpage so thats cool!

Okay, so after having started the session and backing up your session key, you proceed by clicking on "Deposit bitcoin". You can find the bitcoin deposit adress and after having sent the deposit, you are asked to refresh the page. I did that and yes, the screen changed saying "Deposit detected. Waiting one confirmation.

At that point I waited until I saw it confirmed, refreshed and that message was gone - now you only see the deposit amount - something like "successful" might be a good idea, some sort of note.

Then I clicked on "Swap". Now theres really nothing you can do wrong. YOu can find your btc amount in a red box and next to it the corresponding ltc amount. Below is a button "Swap Coins". I clicked that and received a green notification "Swap complete". Then I clicked on "Withdraw", entered my litecoin adress, the litecoin amount. Below you can find the Blockchain fee. Just click "Withdraw" and received a notification Litecoin was sent including the corresponding transaction id.

Last but not least you click on "Destroy" in the navigation where you have the change to destroy your session so all date will be purged. This is optional, you dont have to do that and there is an automated session deletion in 25 days in place.

Conclusion

Really it all went well - even for a newbie like me and I think I really might use the service in case I want to swap some of my btc. As mentioned before, I am not the hardcore tech guy so I cant really comment on that but from what I see, there are no problems and its all good - provided no data is being recorded.

If you still need reviewers I would be happy to participate and write out a review of your service. Anonymity is a very trendy word these days especially but more tech savvy persons. The average joe does not even care about his personal data, but I'm sure a pretty big part of the crypto users are looking for ways to erase the footprints of their spending behaviour even further.

Also, don't you realize sending individual transactions the way you're doing is costing you more in transaction fees?  I don't know what wallet you're using, but most give you the option to "pay to many" which will reduce your transaction fees tremendously.  It seems odd that you don't know this.

I've got to say that Swapmixer is one of the easiest to use anonymous exchange services out there. I have always been an adept of simplicity and the design and user friendly interface of the website make it so easy even for newbies to mix their crypto holdings. After getting 1 confirmation of my BTC transaction I just clicked refresh and there it was, no delays, no bugs.

A big plus is that your session data is automatically deleted in 25 days or before if you destroy your session manually. They even offer privacy tips on the withdraw tips like how to obfuscate your transactions by making multiple withdrawals at different times of the day and addresses. The BTC-LTC exchange rate was at the market rate so no complaints there. Overall a very convenient and smart service. I recommend it for people who want to make fast and private exchanges between BTC & LTC and soon with other cryptocurrencies as well.

Is it just me or this website does not load anymore from both the clearnet and Tor mirror addresses?

it seems the site has been shutdown for some reason or they've already given uo on the mixer project or they might also taken up the feedbacks and suggestion of the users and they came up with an upgrade so they're going to be offline for a moment.

It's Quite weird. OP too was online for only 4 days and has not been online for almost a month now. This is not the kind of thing one would do especially if they are looking to grow a bigger user base.

Alteast they would try to keep updating users here as to why the website is Off. Someone's funds could easily be locked in there, and they would not know what to do next.

I wonder if the remaining reviewers werefinally paid.
