John McAfee have shilled for many altcoin projects in the past. I don't think he would do that without any amount involved. Did you buy one of the coins that he tweeted? Don't jump into it. These "big names" have no compunction about saying bitcoin or gold is going to the moon by a certain time and then somehow that prediction gets lost in the sands of time and nobody ends up caring about the accuracy of their predictions.
And they make these predictions to keep their names in the news, to keep them relevant and also probably to hype whatever asset they're making the prediction about. It's a fucking disgusting practice but a very common one in crypto and in the metals markets. Lol. Did McAfee call you and made a deal with you? I'm sure OP is just making a point here, though I wish he would be more specific about what McAfee said and what OP is referring to, because I don't know exactly what this ass-busting is in reference to. Maybe if all BTC was already mined which might happened century from now, Then the price might hit that range. Post by: Fappanu on November 06, 2019, 07:02:35 AM Wait, what? Do you believe in it? These are just the predictions of those who pretend to be experts in crypto. No one can predict what will happen in crypto and they are just based on what they see. Remember that crypto currency is decentralized and unexpected things can happen. So he maybe right or may not be right, and this is what we should not expect. Because we only know the price of bitcoin and other altcoins once we see the true price.
Title: Re: Where's my free money? Post by: Cnut237 on November 06, 2019, 08:23:57 AM If someone picks a year and then say bitcoin will be worth $X by that time, then they are either being stupid or they have an agenda.
You can say I think bitcoin will increase significantly, or I think bitcoin has a good chance of hitting $X, but you can't say it will for definite. McAfee isn't stupid, therefore has an agenda. Title: Re: Where's my free money? Post by: CarnagexD on November 06, 2019, 08:30:08 AM I was promised like 250k by McAfee in BTC value. Do you really believe in his prediction? I also see some thread that tackles his prediction and I guess it's about the price of bitcoin that will reach the price 250,00$ at the end of the year. Actually, I do not know who he is and talking about the price of bitcoin we might not see any skyrocket this year but do not panic because in the next few we might experience it again we just need to wait and hold. Lastly, maybe after the bitcoin halving, we have a chance to see a skyrocket but this year I think its no.When's the price gonna skyrocket like the last 8 times? Tell me plz time travelers. If the buyer more than the sale will happen Bitcoin rises.
So they just say Bitcoin will be expensive in the future in order to be interested in buying bitcoins. Because famous people like them have a great social network to gain community confidence. Title: Re: Where's my free money? Post by: Wexnident on November 06, 2019, 08:43:11 AM Fake news bro. Well not really since it could still be possible in the future, but a prediction is in the end a prediction. It's called one for a reason you know. Tbf, McAfee's word could be said to not be trusted anymore, with their predictions all over the place. I even doubt that any even believe in them anymore.
Title: Re: Where's my free money? Post by: NeuroticFish on November 06, 2019, 08:58:35 AM I was promised [...] by McAfee You have to have a bit more patience. In December 2020 it should be interesting: we will either be rich (Bitcoin over the moon), either be entertained by McAfee eating his own dick at TV. I've also found a countdown for it: http://dickening.com/ I have high hopes at least one of the two events will happen. Title: Re: Where's my free money? Post by: Fatunad on November 06, 2019, 09:16:23 AM Nobody's supposed to be making promises in the world of unpredictable and highly volatile market because no one would ever know where the prices are heading. The market reaction depends on the sentiments of the people not with the random nostradamus over the internet.

He's made some wild predictions about bitcoin, correct? Where have you been these past few few years? Everybody knows the great cybersecurity expert John McAfee. But what made John McAfee famous in the crypto world is neither his programming skills nor his Bitcoin price predictions which are clearly exaggerated to the extremes but his infamous self dick-eating challenge. Sometime in 2017, he predicted with full conviction and belief that Bitcoin will rise up to $1,000,000 by the end of 2020. If that will not happen, he will eat his own dick in front of national television. Perhaps before that happens, he will also tell us what recipe would he want his own dick cooked. Title: Re: Where's my free money? Post by: Wintersoldier on November 06, 2019, 09:27:19 AM When you've invested in bitcoin just because McAfee said so, for me, it is not reasonable for you to ask for your free money or profit as your foundation for investment is just the words of a person who predicted what bitcoin will be.
This is the problem of investment, we just believe someone we think is reliable and trsutworthy, not considering the risk in taking part in a huge investment. Don't worry, you're still in a good way, just make sure you hodl and continue believing or else, loss will be in your hands. Title: Re: Where's my free money? His words cannot cause hype anymore. John McAfee is a man who understands well the kind of influence he is having to people who believe on him but one thing I don't like is that he has a big tendency to be exaggerating things. I am sure this has something to do with him as a good marketer or a communication genius but he should notice that the cryptocurrency marketplace is not made up of innocent and ignorant people -- we are intelligent and capable of using our brains. John McAffee's name and brand is not getting synonymous with hypes and FUDs. Although I would be really happy if soon one of his predictions can be coming true, we all know the market realities that those are really impossible. I would love to be wrong though but I am sure that I have more than 80% chances of being right. And rather than being admired and loved by the Bitcoin community, he is now listed as a big joker and possibly also hated by many. Title: Re: Where's my free money? Post by: Darooghe on November 06, 2019, 09:35:37 AM I was promised like 250k by McAfee in BTC value. Why you are saying 250.000 dollar? he defends $1 million Bitcoin price prediction. So you're saying you believe Bitcoin's market cap will be over 18 trillion dollars, and the Winklevoss brothers will be worth 130 billion dollars by the end of 2020? if your answer is positive you are retired because that's not how markets work, you don't expect the value to keep going up just because it went up previously as McAfee thought. If that's how markets worked you could make a fortune by buying all the stocks that did really well last year but there's a reason hedge funds don't use this strategy, it doesn't work. When's the price gonna skyrocket like the last 8 times? MacAfee is the man who made a very popular antivirus software and firewall in the 1990s. He left the company that bears his name in the mid 1990's and then moved to Belize where he appeared to go batshit (posting videos of himself snorting coke onto youtube and so on). I think he managed to lose a fortune of about $100 million on living a wild life and then started shilling for dubious alt coins, and of course making wild predictions about bitcoin. Basically everyone should ignore him - whatever brains he had have been well and truly fried by now. Title: Re: Where's my free money? Arthur Hayes, for example, promised that Bitcoin would cost $ 100,000 by the end of 2018, where his predictions are now. He also added that it does not matter to him whether the forecast will come true his task is to give a forecast. From his words, I made a very important conclusion, the predictors give predictions I don’t think about whether they would come true, just so that people hope and believe that Bitcoin will cost a lot, in fact, the forecaster does not know anything about the specific future. All these are just assumptions with the sauce of a reliable forecast. Title: Re: Where's my free money? Do you really believed him? Don't be ridiculous, just stop giving these publicity whores any attention. I've pretty much ignored predictions and just hunker down and watch the trend. If I fail at this then I only blame bad prediction, which is better than blaming myself for believing someone else. John McAfee founded famous company McAfee, LLC (haven't you heard antivirus McAfee?). He predicted Bitcoin (but in original post it's typo bircoin) at $1 million by the end of 2020, if that doesn't happen that way, he will eat his own dick on national television. Also this man claims that he knows real satoshi and gave him some time to reveal himself or if he won't do that, John McAfee will and that will be bad for satoshi. I think this man is just a clown because of his statements, 2021 will come soon, national TVs prepare! McAfee will be McAeat I knew he made predictions before that didn't come true but didn't he also promised to do something before that he never did? Despite how nutty he appears sometimes I doubt he'd push through with this. ;D Title: Re: Where's my free money? His predictions are as good as those who said bitcoin would be out of value after it went down hard last year. Might as well listen to warren buffet lol.

Promised to give you or a promise that BTC will go at a certain price? McAfee and other famous person and big companies such as Binance (if I recall it correctly) made a guess and say that it is easy to predict bitcoin price at a certain time lol. Bitcoin in nature is really unpredictable but we could atleast make a sort of intuition or a feeling that Bitcoin market will somehow go somewhere close to this and that but not so precise like McAfee stated. Now that it did not go to where you believe so don't believe right away to claims because the person who said is known by many people. Title: Re: Where's my free money? Tell me plz time travelers. Actually he predicted $1 Million untill the end of 2020. https://twitter.com/officialmcafee/status/935900326007328768 But to be honest it is a far too optimistic price. I do not think that the Bitcoin price ever reached $1M, and by the end of 2020 it is practically impossible. It seems to me that we will have a chance to see a very interesting show performed by Mr. McAfee. ;) ;D Title: Re: Where's my free money? Post by: huige007 on November 11, 2019, 03:02:45 PM Make your own crypto study, and you can answer your question. Do not rely on the predictions of those people because there is no assurance that what they say will happen. Usually because we rely so much on these predictions that give us the thought to buy more but sometimes it is just a trap and the price is falling even further. I can't trust with many prediction right now because they always give bad news with bitcoin price, always ask other for investing but their self want to sell their coin, when recommendation for investor to sell but his self try to buy and invest their money with bitcoin and altcoin investing, I check my self when investing and trading for selling or buying.Title: Re: Where's my free money? We all ask ourselves when the bubble will come, not if it will come, so if someone bought the top of the last bubble just should be patient and I'm sure he will close the position with a smile on his face. Technical analysis is such a huge help because it gives them ideas on what type of move should they execute in order to make profit. I think what he mean is that, looking at the chart is not enough to complete market analyzation. There are more consideration needed to predict the possible market movements. Analyzing the market chart is helpful but doing only this will not complete your own market research/analysis.Title: Re: Where's my free money? This is not the first time I'm seeing people predict big prices for crypto. Someone once predicted that the price of Bitcoin will reach $100k before December of this year, 2019. A lot of people even believed that to be true. Now here we are, it's almost December and we are still at the rate of $9000+. Lol, I also got into bitcoin as a free money in whole. Yes, I was misguided about bitcoin mining as a free money. I didn't know about bitcoin in 2010, I only got to know of it in late 2013 and I didn't get in immediately, till around 2014. When I started making use of it, it wasn't for buying anything, I only used it to accept payment and as time goes on I started to develop an interest and began to save some part of my money in it. I did benefit from the 2017 bull run but what I got wasn't much. If I had Bitcoin in 2010 I don't think I would use it in buying anything, I will also be saving it just like I did when I started, although I didn't have much. When's the price gonna skyrocket like the last 8 times? Tell me plz time travelers. This time around I has also been doing the same thing, though I'm not expecting the bull run to come anytime soon. I have seen people (some economists) that claimed there will no longer be bull run. Maybe they are doing that to make people lose interest, but I no longer place my focus there because there are other methods I use to earn BTC, and they are working for me. Behind the price of Bitcoin are the laws of economics, and what he says doesn't matter because that's the way it is. It's just that strategically-minded economists are aware that Bitcoin is still just an experiment and something unpredictable can happen at any moment, so nobody is so brave to predict its price for the year or longer. When's the price gonna skyrocket like the last 8 times? Tell me plz time travelers. Before bitcoin can multiply again that 8 times, I think that it will be towards the time that the halving is approaching, because that period is usually filled with lots of expectations s so many people would want to really start investing in bitcoin because of the halving and this will make the value of bitcoin to have a pre-spike in price before the main halving value, and it is during that pre-spike that you can see any increase. So to be very honest, McAfee is a complex personality. But the guy appreciates bitcoin and trusts it blindly. Sometimes I feel like he is being sarcastic. It is obvious to me that his very forecast as well as the promise to eat his own penis are a joke. This is so funny. For you to have called it free money, it shows you expect too much than you worked for. In as much as you have been promised a certain price at a certain time, it would be in your interest to know that the promisers are no soothsayers. Neither are they time travelers. Many cryptocurrency users have deceived all their expectations, since everyone planned to get superprofits, especially paying attention to the results of 2016 and 2017. But the situation on the cryptocurrency market developed in a completely different way and now no one can say that cryptocurrency gives a very easy and quick income. Nevertheless, the risks in the cryptocurrency business have always been talked about and warned everyone that working with the cryptocurrency is almost like playing a game of chance, when everything depends not only on the situation on the cryptocurrency market, but also on luck. The crypto world is an unpredictable place. Maybe if all BTC was already mined which might happened century from now, Then the price might hit that range. Just pray that you and McAfee is still alive that time so that you can have Beer toast to each other for the mission accomplish. :D When you are trying to invest in companies you want, it is better to have your research on how to manage and deal with those transactions. Actually there was two predictions and it looks like OP didn't remember the amounts very accurately: First prediction was $500k: https://twitter.com/officialmcafee/status/887012614131372032 Second prediction was $1M: https://twitter.com/officialmcafee/status/935900326007328768 Of course this is not predictable. Because McAfee is a very popular person in the crypto world, then many people will believe it. I'm not sure in the near future bitcoin can reach 250K, because even now McAfee's words have not been proven. John McAfee is someone who will promote your ICO (without any sort of background check), in exchange for a monetary payment. He charges $110,000 for a single tweet promoting the ICO from his Twitter account (which is having more than a million followers). And to date, he has promoted dozens of ICOs and pocketed millions of USD in cash. And you expect this guy to make you rich? Title: Re: Where's my free money? Those who make predictions will still make these predictions come true. They usually do them only so that people continue to believe that cryptocurrency can bring them money in the foreseeable future. McAfee is no exception. All forecasters are liars, more precisely, they themselves do not believe what they say. They just make predictions to create some kind of hype. Not a single forecast of this kind has come true, it is possible that it will come true in 10 years. But in the foreseeable future it will not come true because the market is controlled by completely different forces that themselves create forecasts. And these forces are not interested in what you could easily earn. Title: Re: Where's my free money? His predictions came true only for a few hours or days. I wish I had the patience to keep track of all the predictions these people make, not only in crypto but also in other markets like gold & silver. Yes he is well known for his predictions, how could you not know I have a video of his predictions that says Bitcoin will reach 1 million $ by the end of 2020 on my social media but it has long and drowned. You can search for it on the crypto site and if your profit will find it, it also makes a betting to predict if it misses. I think also people will return to their original state like no one cares if it's a wrong predicate Title: Re: Where's my free money? Even though McAfee is a very well known tech guy, we should not still trust him in terms of his prediction because most of the predictions doesn't work since they don't have the enough evidences to prove that their prediction has a high probability. I agree that we should undergo self studying in order to make our own analysis and own prediction so if it goes wrong then we don't have anyone to blame but ourselves.Do you know who this person is and you believe what it says. Lol, like you said, it's McAfee that promised you that, so you should go to him and ask him for the money he promised to give to you ;D. I don't know why these people are fond of making predictions that are not true, they just guess whatever number that comes to their mind and that's not good. The same McAfee you're talking about have also predicted that the price of Bitcoin will soon reach $700,000.When's the price gonna skyrocket like the last 8 times? Tell me plz time travelers. Well, he's not the only that has made such predictions, I have also seen other so called influencers and some of them even predicted that one Bitcoin would be $1,000,000 next year. It is hard to trust anyone today because if you have a large amount of money, many people are trying to attempt to scam you to get all of the coins. In having in terms and condition, you must have a contract if you have a transaction both of you have the rights what will happen before and after your trading of money or items. Skyrocket? You mean Bubble? Quote and the manipulation of whales as well as the news about cryptocurrencies as legalize/legalize it in some countries or news about ban it, that all can effects bitcoin's price and can make it decrease/increase a lot ^^^^But these are all crap. There's no such thing as manipulation of whales, whales will do whales stuff and they will stay as whales (if you don't get that, I can't help you with that); doesn't necessarily affect Bitcoin if a country legalizes or bans it; there are a lot of factors that affect the price of Bitcoin, but not these. An exciting character for the Bitcoin market. If McAfee becomes an investor in a project and announces it, it can receive a large amount of investment. I liked the beginning of your post ;) Unfortunately, at the end you wrote something that is not true. McAfee did classic pump & dump. I don't know if he bought cheap altcoin before and later announced his pump, or simply someone paid him for it, but it certainly wasn't everything he did completely normal. He is a marketing expert, but I certainly wouldn't trust his predictions, or even words. Title: Re: Where's my free money? Post by: awik p on December 24, 2019, 02:05:24 PM I remembered the promise of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi who had promised 15 Lakh INR equivalent to every citizen. I dont think these guys were serious when they do these thing. Its exactly similar to what politicians do. There's a lot of promise from a 'promising project' which will dump you in the end, they will just let you enjoy the things for now, making you profit but at then end they will dump and they will just tell people and blaming others that someone dumped the tokens which in fact they are the one dumping it, they are just cleaning their hands. Big amount of bitcoin or money is really a temptation, but we should avoid not falling because it's usually just a lie and it's not going to get anything. Some people wouldn't help themselves to believe just because the person is like a celebrity in a certain field. Most of all these market prediction are not really base on any fact for one to even think it will one day come to fulfillment.

When he suggests shitcoins, he can sometimes be a pump. It went through this period. The market has new power holders. Justin and CZ are now more popular. I think they need to pay attention to the signs they make about bitcoin price. This happens in all the markets, during a period of time a financial manager makes a few correct predictions and then people begin to follow him thinking that he has the golden touch and that every prediction that he gives will eventually become true, this was the case with McAfee for some time, but now since it's obvious that his predictions about the price of bitcoin are not going to become true in the time period that he specified then people are giving their backs to him and looking for someone else to follow.Title: Re: Where's my free money? Most of all these market prediction are not really base on any fact for one to even think it will one day come to fulfillment. Predictions are made on the past experiences and some people just made a prediction as a joke. You should not rely on other’s predictions completely because it can result into very bad consequences as well. Similarly living into the reality is the actual living in which person uses his knowledge and ability to understand other’s points. In case of such a risky market, never rely on someone’s predictions.Title: Re: Where's my free money? Post by: Nimbulan on January 18, 2020, 11:48:40 PM Okay, first of all, the money is not free, only people who invest in it and hold it for a long time will have the opportunity to grow their wealth. Also don't really believe in people like this, they're actually making assumptions about their marketing strategy, and that doesn't make any real sense. Because these are too bad to be practised or taken into account consideration. It's going to be a good thing even if it hits 10 grand.

Don't rely on his statements! He predicted that Bitcoin price will hit 1 Million USD, otherwise he will eat his own dick in front of a national tv channel, so are you waiting to see that? Just don't. Ignore this mad guy!

Ignore this mad guy! I don't know who he is but I always see some of the topics that related to him. Upon searching for that person it seems many people are now quit on believing in him especially after he predicts that bitcoin will reach 1 Million USD and then it not happens. In the speculation section, there are tons of predictions on the bitcoin and somehow I believe in some prediction but when it comes to his prediction maybe it might happen in the future because it takes a lot of time and support if we want to see that kind of price. But for now, I agree that try to avoid his all statement and it's better to make your research about the price of bitcoin. There is no free money here and woke up mate because you need to work hard if you intend to have a huge amount of money. Title: Re: Where's my free money? It is not really that complex why people do not want to ignore him, people want that prediction to come true, you need to understand that most of the users in the forum do not really have a lot of bitcoin stored and in order for them to radically change their lives they will need the price of bitcoin to hit ridiculous levels and that is why many people want that prediction to happen but we know that is impossible even if I think that this year is going to be a positive one for cryptocurrencies.Title: Re: Where's my free money? Post by: ScamViruS on January 20, 2020, 07:27:59 PM McAfee has given a prediction that I am still worried about. We've already seen how much McAfee can do for money. This guy promoted a lot of shitcoin that people have lost all their money by investing in. If you really believe this guy, I have nothing to tell you. McAfee is one of the few fomo-makers. Their job is to pump the market with the hope of news and then dump the market with useless news. I don't trust anyone like that. I only trust Bitcoin.
Title: Re: Where's my free money? Post by: HarmonyA on January 20, 2020, 07:38:57 PM I was promised like 250k by McAfee in BTC value. When's the price gonna skyrocket like the last 8 times? Tell me plz time travelers. Lol. You shouldn't raise your hope in crypto that has no real products. It doesn't work the way you think. Due to several challenges in crypto markets, investors and users now deal with cryptos that has real products. This help to make them sustainable, and build trust among users.
