I was promised like 250k by McAfee in BTC value.

When's the price gonna skyrocket like the last 8 times? Tell me plz time travelers.

Lol. Did McAfee call you and made a deal with you? Just like many of the members here promoting all kinds of projects and sites, John McAfee is also just promoting projects that pay right. John McAfee have shilled for many altcoin projects in the past. I don't think he would do that without any amount involved. Did you buy one of the coins that he tweeted? Don't jump into it. His words cannot cause hype anymore.

I've heard his name numerous times on the forum, but sad to say I still don't really know who he is.  He's made some wild predictions about bitcoin, correct?  Did he make a specific prediction that was supposed to have come true by now?  Just curious.  I wish I had the patience to keep track of all the predictions these people make, not only in crypto but also in other markets like gold & silver.  These "big names" have no compunction about saying bitcoin or gold is going to the moon by a certain time and then somehow that prediction gets lost in the sands of time and nobody ends up caring about the accuracy of their predictions.

And they make these predictions to keep their names in the news, to keep them relevant and also probably to hype whatever asset they're making the prediction about.  It's a fucking disgusting practice but a very common one in crypto and in the metals markets.

I'm sure OP is just making a point here, though I wish he would be more specific about what McAfee said and what OP is referring to, because I don't know exactly what this ass-busting is in reference to. 

McAfee and Justin Sun are two showers and Fomo people. they are really right because they have money and power, but their predictions are never completely accurate.
so never trust those big bucks, sometimes they give good news to people to buy more bitcoins. But meanwhile, he sold his bitcoins and created a new bear trend!
I have encountered this situation many times and do not be paranoid anymore. Be realistic and observe the chart.

Wait, what? Do you believe in it? These are just the predictions of those who pretend to be experts in crypto. No one can predict what will happen in crypto and they are just based on what they see. Remember that crypto currency is decentralized and unexpected things can happen. So he maybe right or may not be right, and this is what we should not expect. Because we only know the price of bitcoin and other altcoins once we see the true price.

If someone picks a year and then say bitcoin will be worth $X by that time, then they are either being stupid or they have an agenda.

You can say I think bitcoin will increase significantly, or I think bitcoin has a good chance of hitting $X, but you can't say it will for definite.  McAfee isn't stupid, therefore has an agenda.

Do you really believe in his prediction? I also see some thread that tackles his prediction and I guess it's about the price of bitcoin that will reach the price 250,00$ at the end of the year. Actually, I do not know who he is and talking about the price of bitcoin we might not see any skyrocket this year but do not panic because in the next few we might experience it again we just need to wait and hold. Lastly, maybe after the bitcoin halving, we have a chance to see a skyrocket but this year I think its no.

Nobody's supposed to be making promises in the world of unpredictable and highly volatile market because no one would ever know where the prices are heading. Instead of following random people's prediction why not follow the trend and look at the chart. The market reaction depends on the sentiments of the people not with the random nostradamus over the internet.

Where have you been these past few few years? Everybody knows the great cybersecurity expert John McAfee. But what made John McAfee famous in the crypto world is neither his programming skills nor his Bitcoin price predictions which are clearly exaggerated to the extremes but his infamous self dick-eating challenge. Sometime in 2017, he predicted with full conviction and belief that Bitcoin will rise up to $1,000,000 by the end of 2020. If that will not happen, he will eat his own dick in front of national television. Perhaps before that happens, he will also tell us what recipe would he want his own dick cooked.

When you've invested in bitcoin just because McAfee said so,  for me, it is not reasonable for you to ask for your free money or profit as your foundation for investment is just the words of a person who predicted what bitcoin will be.

This is the problem of investment, we just believe someone we think is reliable and trsutworthy, not considering the risk in taking part in a huge investment.

Don't worry, you're still in a good way, just make sure you hodl and continue believing or else,  loss will be in your hands.

John McAfee is a man who understands well the kind of influence he is having to people who believe on him but one thing I don't like is that he has a big tendency to be exaggerating things. I am sure this has something to do with him as a good marketer or a communication genius but he should notice that the cryptocurrency marketplace is not made up of innocent and ignorant people -- we are intelligent and capable of using our brains.

John McAffee's name and brand is not getting synonymous with hypes and FUDs. Although I would be really happy if soon one of his predictions can be coming true, we all know the market realities that those are really impossible. I would love to be wrong though but I am sure that I have more than 80% chances of being right. And rather than being admired and loved by the Bitcoin community, he is now listed as a big joker and possibly also hated by many.

Why you are saying 250.000 dollar? he defends $1 million Bitcoin price prediction. So you're saying you believe Bitcoin's market cap will be over 18 trillion dollars, and the Winklevoss brothers will be worth 130 billion dollars by the end of 2020? if your answer is positive you are retired because that's not how markets work, you don't expect the value to keep going up just because it went up previously as McAfee thought. If that's how markets worked you could make a fortune by buying all the stocks that did really well last year but there's a reason hedge funds don't use this strategy, it doesn't work.

McAfee was just predicting what he thought the value was going to be up by $1M before 2020 but from the looks of things we see going to be highly lucky even if it's manages to get to $20K again which I highly doubt it but that doesn't mean you give up just because some expectations didn't come to pass.

McAfee had his predictions several times and many had been a victim who easily believes in him. Before investing in any coins or btc, do not believe in other’s predictions. For us to be safe our money do not trust easily. Make some moves of your own to assess the market. As the price in here is volatile and we cannot foretell when will be the price of bitcoin could skyrocket.

That is what happens when you follow predictions from so called Bitcoin expert. McAffe maybe has some other talents but price predictions are definetely not one of them. So, just give up on such predictions and be smarter next time if you want to keep and earn some money.

MacAfee is the man who made a very popular antivirus software and firewall in the 1990s. He left the company that bears his name in the mid 1990's and then moved to Belize where he appeared to go batshit (posting videos of himself snorting coke onto youtube and so on).

I think he managed to lose a fortune of about $100 million on living a wild life and then started shilling for dubious alt coins, and of course making wild predictions about bitcoin.

Basically everyone should ignore him - whatever brains he had have been well and truly fried by now.

This should be a lesson for him for trusting other people's prediction or idea in terms of the market.  This should never been done and newbies should be focusing on learning how to analyze on their own because it is much better to make mistake that came from you rather than from other people. Keep moving forward and take this as a lesson and don't repeat the same mistake again.

Been a reader of his predictions but never followed any or any prediction from famous people since there were times they do prediction is I'm on need money or busy in other alts. They just human too and they just predict based on their understanding so do us.  OP must not blame them since it's we who choose to follow them. Yes, we must not trust easily here in crypto as some may have hidden reason on why they create that prediction.

McAfee is prerty famous but no matter how famous a person is, if it's a prediction, there's still no hundred percent of accuracy. Don't fall nuch on the predictions then gonna blame it to others..

Believe McAfee at your own peril he is just a speculator like any other crypto enthusiast and he has never used any yardstick or evident to prove to you that pumping of the price of bitcoin will reach $250K hence his prediction doesn't hold water and baseless so don't be carried away by his predictions Old crypto enthusiast are used to incessant predictions and I never believed in what he had said in his previous speculations thus ignored or never bothered about any news coming from him.

This is why you don't put your trust, especially your money in someone's judgment, so you won't cry like a baby when you don't get your milk when you wanted to. 250K in whatever currency it is, is a big amount of money, next time, just be sure you will take this as a lesson and start to grow up, make your own decision, so you won't end up being a crybaby again ranting about your loss.

You could wait, bare a little bit more, crying will not help you, and market would not recover with your rant about it, have some faith on your decision at least to ease your mind.

I don't know why there is some people who entrusted their money to someone, I doubt if they are really lazy enough to do research or they just trust people a lot.

Relying on someone's prediction is really risky and this is why some newbies keep buying at wrong times. I think that having a proper analysis to the prediction or personal research is the right thing to do. If we keep jumping in because of spiking of candles down or up, we can't profit from the market. There are a lot of predictions from every major players and if you could tell me the reason why you are obsessed about the prediction of McAfee i can give you an answer, my speculation on seeing your query is that you are obsessed to see him eat his dick and hence you want to stick to his prediction  :P. When it comes to the price rally you need to have some patience till the halving and lets see how the market will react after that.

Nice joke for current scenario and no one accept this statement. In reality we don't believe the skyrocket growing on crypto market, I see the past bull run and dump on Bitcoin status. So this year 3k USD is starting and 12k USD was occur at recent bull run. But right now market is stay in a positive region so wait and see what will happen in future.

I liked the guy when he got into Bitcoin and became one of those vocal bulls. He's a charismatic person so that helped a lot. After some time he was found pumping shitcoins, we've learned how much he charged for a tweet, and his reputation as bitcoin bull suffered. Promised to give you or a promise that BTC will go at a certain price? McAfee and other famous person and big companies such as Binance (if I recall it correctly) made a guess and say that it is easy to predict bitcoin price at a certain time lol. Bitcoin in nature is really unpredictable but we could atleast make a sort of intuition or a feeling that Bitcoin market will somehow go somewhere close to this and that but not so precise like McAfee stated. Now that it did not go to where you believe so don't believe right away to claims because the person who said is known by many people.

I often see McAfee tweets but I have never followed to buy certain assets. What he said was too much and assumed. I just thought what he said was just a joke. But it's a pity those who believe in him.

Well, If it's real that McAfee promised you that huge amount they will call you to confirm the payout details and some necessary information needed. Maybe it's a scam or you're being scam by other personalities that use McAfee to offer a huge amount of money but will scam you in the end, Lol. John McAfee always give surprise with ICO and altcoin for investing, he is always try to make investor interested with him by announcing with good ICO and prediction with bitcoin price at the future, many his prediction with altcoin and ICO project incorrect with lower price, I ever hear about his suggestion to buy etn ICO coin but price down after listing with exchange market.

If the OP met Mcafee in personal, I would say that they had an agreement but if he just saw a Mcafee from telegram, it was a bait. John Mcafee is a celebrity and a well-known cryptocurrency promoter. And if you take a look at this man's words relating to cryptocurrency, you will see that he has already shilled many projects, not just Bitcoin but a number of altcoins also. No one knows when would the market price will boom and skyrocket again because no one can predict on what would really happen in the future. There are many predictions and speculations of many famous people who can read on the market graph on when it would appear the boom of the market but this is all just a prediction and no one knows if it would be really happen again.
Better do your own speculations and predictions and don't depend on other people about predicting such stuffs because they are all aren't sure if when would be the boom of the market will come.
There are no time travelers here that would know what would really happen in the future.

Why McAfee will give you that huge value of Bitcoin? And what is the connection of the ATH of Bitcoin price to your free money from Mc Afee? 250k is a huge amount that nobody will just give it for free except if you are running a charity institution.

John McAfee is obviously just popularizing his name by making such bold statements about the future value of Bitcoin. Consider for yourself whether an asset that was worth less than $1 could be worth more than a million dollars in the future, as John promises. I generally assume that Bitcoin reached its maximum price in 2017.

Just look at the projects that he promoted in the past, everything went with hype because of what he said but now everyone knows that his words cannot be trusted. Make your own crypto study, and you can answer your question. Do not rely on the predictions of those people because there is no assurance that what they say will happen. Usually because we rely so much on these predictions that give us the thought to buy more but sometimes it is just a trap and the price is falling even further.

I can't trust with many prediction right now because they always give bad news with bitcoin price, always ask other for investing but their self want to sell their coin, when recommendation for investor to sell but his self try to buy and invest their money with bitcoin and altcoin investing, I check my self when investing and trading for selling or buying.

Many people hurry up for investing after John McAffe recommended with altcoin for investing, never have in their mind with last coins prediction by him, have raise success with higher price or down. Right now I can't trust any one else give prediction with bitcoin and altcoin price, I think looking with exchange update is most important to know which one coin will get raise up.

I think what he mean is that, looking at the chart is not enough to complete market analyzation. There are more consideration needed to predict the possible market movements. Analyzing the market chart is helpful but doing only this will not complete your own market research/analysis.

Bitcoin has limited supply and the reward for its mining is still decreasing (halving). On other side, it is becoming more and more popular, so the demand is increasing. This means that in theory its price should rise very quickly all the time. The problem is that something unpredictable can happen: Bitcoin will become illegal, quantum computers will break the code, better technology will be invented than Blockchain .. Predicting that the price will rise all the time is nothing but a bet that nothing unpredictable will happen. In other words, McAfee is a gambler.

Someone once predicted that the price of Bitcoin will reach $100k before December of this year, 2019. A lot of people even believed that to be true. Now here we are, it's almost December and we are still at the rate of $9000+. The price is even struggling to stay above $9000 and might soon drop back to $8000.

If you don't want to make mistakes that you will end up regretting later, I will advise you to stop believing what these people have to say and focus on your own. If you want to invest, wait for the perfect time when the price is low (that's during bear trend) and you can invest and hold for the long term. If you know how to day trade you can as well do that to earn daily.

Lol, I also got into bitcoin as a free money in whole. Yes, I was misguided about bitcoin mining as a free money. I didn't know about bitcoin in 2010, I only got to know of it in late 2013 and I didn't get in immediately, till around 2014. When I started making use of it, it wasn't for buying anything, I only used it to accept payment and as time goes on I started to develop an interest and began to save some part of my money in it. I did benefit from the 2017 bull run but what I got wasn't much. If I had Bitcoin in 2010 I don't think I would use it in buying anything, I will also be saving it just like I did when I started, although I didn't have much.

This time around I has also been doing the same thing, though I'm not expecting the bull run to come anytime soon. I have seen people (some economists) that claimed there will no longer be bull run. Maybe they are doing that to make people lose interest, but I no longer place my focus there because there are other methods I use to earn BTC, and they are working for me.

There were a lot of such predictors, and all as one spoke of continued growth. Already then it became clear that not one predictor knows anything for sure.
But as we can see today, people still continue to believe them.

I don't know if he bought cheap altcoin before and later announced his pump, or simply someone paid him for it, but it certainly wasn't everything he did completely normal. Are you certain that it was a legitimate deal? Cause if it's not, you are just wasting your time upon waiting on when will bitcoin's price will skyrocket again. Take note that there are a lot of scams nowadays and you can never trust anyone easily or else you would end up losing all of your money. Definitely! Everyone can predict but not precisely. Even I can give you my thoughts about bitcoin movement for couple of days and even a week or a month. But I can't say that it is very accurate. That's the reason why I am not also depending on my own ability because bitcoin is volatile and anytime our would be dissappear.

I don't know why you guys trust him so much! What he did actually? Nothing but some silly prediction and drama! Don't rely on his statements! He predicted that Bitcoin price will hit 1 Million USD, otherwise he will eat his own dick in front of a national tv channel, so are you waiting to see that? Just don't. Ignore this mad guy!

I don't know who he is but I always see some of the topics that related to him. Upon searching for that person it seems many people are now quit on believing in him especially after he predicts that bitcoin will reach 1 Million USD and then it not happens. In the speculation section, there are tons of predictions on the bitcoin and somehow I believe in some prediction but when it comes to his prediction maybe it might happen in the future because it takes a lot of time and support if we want to see that kind of price. But for now, I agree that try to avoid his all statement and it's better to make your research about the price of bitcoin. There is no free money here and woke up mate because you need to work hard if you intend to have a huge amount of money.

Undoubtedly, there are supporters of McAfee on the cryptocurrency market, although everyone considers him a fraud one way or another, especially considering the fact that he pretends to be nakamoto satoshi and cannot provide secret keys to bitcoin satoshi nakamoto.  But I am beginning to be alarmed by too active improvements in the position of Bitcoin SV, which has increased in price by almost 100%, while not forgetting the fact that this altcoin is fully supported by this person.

It is not really that complex why people do not want to ignore him, people want that prediction to come true, you need to understand that most of the users in the forum do not really have a lot of bitcoin stored and in order for them to radically change their lives they will need the price of bitcoin to hit ridiculous levels and that is why many people want that prediction to happen but we know that is impossible even if I think that this year is going to be a positive one for cryptocurrencies.

McAfee has given a prediction that I am still worried about. We've already seen how much McAfee can do for money. This guy promoted a lot of shitcoin that people have lost all their money by investing in. If you really believe this guy, I have nothing to tell you. McAfee is one of the few fomo-makers. Their job is to pump the market with the hope of news and then dump the market with useless news. I don't trust anyone like that. I only trust Bitcoin.

Lol. You shouldn't raise your hope in crypto that has no real products. It doesn't work the way you think.
Due to several challenges in crypto markets,  investors and users now deal with cryptos that has real products. This help to make them sustainable,  and build trust among users.

I agree the time in which speculative projects could get a lot of money with just empty promises and a cute website are over, this is what t is causing the crisis in icos and ieos, they want to still receive millions of dollars for nothing and that is not going to work anymore, the investors that remain in the market of cryptocurrencies are smarter and are not the newbies that we had in 2017, they are not going to deceive us that easily again and it is why all the market is growing more slowly.
