I like making these threads because it's interesting to see how Bitcoin has changed people's lives. So how has Bitcoin helped you in your life?


For me personally, I use Bitcoin to accept money from people instantly.

I'll give a different answer, just so people wouldn't see the typical answers like payments, the investment aspect, trading, and such.

I don't know about most of the Bitcointalk peeps, but there's something so liberating about having total control over your money; knowing that even if my country's central bank and/or government messes up or decides to fuck up the economy, I wouldn't take maximum damage like most people who hold purely fiat will. Along with that, the fact that no one can take my bitcoin from me(practice physical security ladies and gentlemen, watch out for $5 wrench attacks).

Bitcoin had enabled me to have control over my money I don't need to care about any banking services much, I don't need any third party to facilitate any of my transactions, I also have privacy over my fund thanks to bitcoin, My wallet provider also makes KYC as optional thus my privacy is also protected, I can order for stuffs online swiftly, I have the ability to exchange my coins to fiat within some period of time without any hassle, finally offering some freelance services online including bounty and signature campaigns whose services are paid with bitcoin is added advantage of the coin

Since you say you don't need a 3rd party for your transactions and you don't need to care about ANY banking service.
It means you don't pay any bills (electricity, water,IS,P insurance,...) you don't have a job , or you're working for free since you can't receive your salary and you don't have a house since it seems you don't have a landlord to pay monthly.

You look like a teenager still living with the parents..

Your "wallet provider" makes KYC optionnal and you care about your privacy, yet you give you personnal information to cashout your money but wait? Firstly you say you don't need ANY banking service.

It's good to see an alternative to the banking industry in which the power is in the user's hands and not financial institutions. I just hope its adoption continues and that it doesn't remain something marginal... But I want to see it in the next 10 years or it may be too late for me after.

@TimtheYoutuber I remember clearly that before I came to this forum I was stuck in a toxic lifestyle, pathetic job less pay I hope you’ll get the picture, moving on I slowly began to collect Satoshis thanks to the signature campaigns out here, and before I knew it I was able to purchase many gadgets e.g. IPhone X, Fitbit.

Furthermore I was able to quit my full time job, and use bitcoins to fund my lifestyle and overall bitcoin gave me the freedoms I never had, so yea bitcoin played a very important role in changing my life for good.

My introduction to bitcoin and the blockchain technology has increased my interest in understanding money and how economy works. It is a different form of money from what I had been used to and challenged the status quo. Bitcoin served as a catalyst which spurred me to seek to learn more about finances.
It also increased my understanding of privacy and how valuable data is and why it should be protected.
Bitcoin exposed me to this forum and the knowledge I have learnt and still learn everyday is invaluable.

Without having earned or bought a single satoshi, I would still consider my journey to have been very beneficial.

It is very safe to go to the commercial topic of payments with bitcoin, send / receive, control of our assets, privacy are basic for anyone who knows bitcoin, to say, el bitcoin is very good.

But I like to think about everything, how one day, bitcoin can be a transforming tool for the future of my children and consequently it is a joy to know that they can have real control of their assets, their identity and that they can control those who "manage" the legal aspects, natural resources of each country.

Maybe bitcoin won't radically transform my present as I would like in the whole, but I'm sure it will in the future, but in the present of today at least we are going in parts...

It's not that instant.
I mean it's faster than an international transfer but if you compare the cost of an instant bank transfer with the current cost of a Bitcoin transaction it's pretty much in the same league.

I used Bitcoin to speculate and as an investment and in both cases it outperformed. It's amazing how this little thing is becoming popular so fast.

Bitcoin has become another small income generator for me and it also teaches me on how to monetize my time. Instead of doing nothing, I can read different topics that is on the forum and join campaigns that can pay me a small salary. Its fun to earn in Bitcoin since you need to convert it into your local currency and that feels cool. You can also invest on Bitcoin for long term and gain from it.

Bitcoin is my work even there is no pandemic, It is the supplier of our needs now that we are in a difficult situation because of covid 19.Bitcoin is my payment method in terms of paying bills and also load supplier. Bitcoin is not just a source of our basic necessities but also it provide me a lot to build our own house. Bitcoin is a digital currency where i can rely on during this pandemic,it really helps me a lot.

What has bitcoin done to me? A whole new way of thinking and developing. Blockchain. No one controls it. Neither you are a government's man neither you are a simple family guy, you just can't.

Also, as @mk4 said, the ability to hold your money without having them physically or stored on a bank is liberate. And fascinating too.

What bitcoin has done to me was, it gives me the right to hold my own money.

Before, I am really into using the bank, but right now, I was able to keep it for myself. I also learned so many things because of bitcoin, as I am not really into the usage of technology, it gives me the opportunity to explore new things.

I am reminded of the past before getting to know Bitcoin in early 2018, this had to do with income and also a mindset. The existence of Bitcoin has changed my thinking about the world of technology and online. Bitcoin opened my mind that all this time, my knowledge and participation in the world of technology was very limited. And now I realize that technology is always evolving and we have to keep up with it.

The second is related to income. Who would have thought that my acquaintance with Bitcoin at that time actually opened up my current main income? Previously working offline and now familiar with the world of cryptocurrency, not only Bitcoin but also other cryptos. At first, it was considered too risky and some even said that I shouldn't enter the world of crypto because it was related to regulations and also the perspective in my country. But over time, my country has legalized Bitcoin and other cryptos as digital assets.
In this case, of course, not only as a way to earn money but also a way of managing money, investing, trading, and several other things.

A lot of things man, most of them are positive.

It change my life, particularly my financial life and I can say that I already have invested a lot on property, thanks to bitcoin.
With bitcoin, it also help me to be easily entertain online by gambling, so I think as long as I am still making money in bitcoin, I would continue to work for it in any way, and I'm proud that I have teach people to know about bitcoin and they have adopted.

I came here by myself, I mean surfing online most of the time brought me here and I think it was luck who introduce me to crypto because I found a lot of opportunity in this market. As my way of saying thank you, I'll continue to influence people to use or invest in crypto as that's my little contribution for the market to gain more adoption.

It gives me realization how important to see market developments out from getting stuck into the old one fiat money. We come into knowing that Bitcoin did a lot of things more than what we have imagined. I'd never believed this at first but I see how reliable it was and very unfortunate if we don't have to try it.

As time pass by, I mostly engage in online payment transaction and feel easy for me to use Bitcoin than having use of my credit card. I'd find it more manageable in time and being more productive compared before that it spend a lot of time just to pay household bills. I saw this innovative transformation great and a thing does not need to pass by.

Bitcoin has been a great store of value for me and has meant I hold a highly prospective asset of the future easily and conveniently without having to worry much about where to store them as compared to physical assets. As a store of value, I have deviced a plan and routine that I have been using this past couple of months. Bitcoin has not only changed the way I transact like you use bitcoin. But bitcoin was able to change my mindset about cryptocurrency digital currency which made my economy even better. Actually not only bitcoin but many other coins are involved. Starting all of this as a Bounty Hunter made me struggle to earn some Bitcoin and then earn money from what I did. Bitcoin is a promising investment, but it carries a high risk due to its volatile price, but in the long term bitcoin is a good investment.

Getting to know bitcoin and getting to know this forum made my life change 180 degrees, to be more productive and to know more about promising future technology. Bitcoin gave me what I wanted until now.

Through the knowledge of bitcoin I got to know about the entire blockchain technology through which i have made friends all over the world, learn a lot from several people and happen to be part of a project that is helping in the mass adoption of cryptocurrencies.

Bitcoin opened many things to me especially when it comes to the investment.
If I don't know Bitcoin and crypto, I maybe don't know anything related to investment. Bitcoin helped me know more about investment in some ways.

Right now because of Bitcoin I have the capability to invest into different investments like Stock Market and others. If I don't know Bitcoin then probably I don't have the funds to invest into these investments. Bitcoin helped me to buy my phone and my own computer. Right now I don't have any good things that I've bought using Bitcoin aside from the phone and PC and being invested to stock market but I hope in the future that I can buy some more.

Totally, is open my mind about investment not just in crypto industry but in real word investment too  8)

Bitcoin totally changed my life  ;D ;D especially to my financial

To be Honest right now i am unemployed because of covid S**t, my workplace bankrupt because of this pandemic  :'(

and right now even before this i work as bounty hunter, the payment is not much but enough for living  :-*

For me Bitcoin is everything, by knowing Bitcoin I can earn income. Not only that Bitcoin also gave me knowledge regarding blockchain
technology, because Bitcoin I realize that there is a better financial system than banks. The most important thing that Bitcoin has given
me is courage, because before knowing Bitcoin I was one of the people in my comfort zone. By knowing Bitcoin, I became brave taking
risks, and it turns out that I dare to face risks is a positive thing for me.

On a personal and technical aspect. My exposure to bitcoin and any other top crypto currency influenced me to pursue my current college course which is Computer Engineering. I have just realized that bitcoin and the underlying technology behind its hoods is, somehow perhaps, connected on the subjects I will be taking as a Computer Engineering student.

Not only that that, upon discovering the forum later in my bitcoin journey, seeing a lot of people talking about the complexity and uniqueness of bitcoin starting from its code, political and economical aspect, it gives me an idea of where I am going to focus on my engineering career. It actually inspires me to read a lot and commit myself upon "lifelong learning".

First - it gives me other option to use as payment material since i am now starting online business and  i offer accepting 5 major cryptocurencies for my business.

Second - it makes life easier for me to pay my bills using crypto,though it needs to be converted first as fiat yet my  funds stays in bitcoin so in  any chance that the price moves up?at least i have extra profit to use .

Third - i have encouraged some of my extended family and friends to have their own crypto to at least for Holding and since  there is a pump happening these days?they are starting to thank me  for what they are having now.

As for me, Bitcoin has changed a lot in my life, I am from a poor and banned country and therefore it was difficult for me to benefit from any of the financial services over the Internet, but with Bitcoin the situation was completely different and I became able to work on the Internet and earn more money than my salary from my job Here in this country.

Bitcoin helps me with shipping goods transactions such as buying ingredient from an online shop and I never use banknotes in shopping. Bitcoin is very influential in my life, such as buying daily necessities and maybe many more. I don't know what would happen to myself if this digital currency died but I have was planning something before that's Bitcoin died. currently my life depend on Bitcoin.

that must be a rare ingredient because you buy it online where most ingredients can be easily buy locally . i do online shop but i only buy really rare items that cant be found on our place but shopping app that i use dont accept btc or any crypto but i can easily convert my crypto to the payment methods that they accept .

no dont say that . btc wont die because we that use btc keeps it alive  . its not possible for people to stop using btc , you already know why .

Hello to all. I keep most of my money in cryptocurrency, which I don’t need to declare anywhere, moving from one point of the country to another and from one country to another - I don’t have to be afraid that my wallet with dollars is stolen, I don’t need to explain to customs officers why there is so much of money. If I need to send money to another country - I just need to press a couple of buttons myself - and my children already have the money. In general, it was not the government, not the banks, but Bitcoin that made me financially independent.

That means bitcoin gives you the way to make money ;)
Yeah, many people who involve in bitcoin world would agree that. Bitcoin has done many things for them, including me.
We can make money from bitcoin, and we also have a new type of investment that we can buy at any price, whether the price is at a high price or low price.
I agree that bitcoin has changed people's lives. Bitcoin helped me too, because I can earn money by doing something such as trading, lending, etc.
I am sure that if people out there know about this, they will want to join us and start making money.

I do not regret engaging in cryptocurrency and focused on it because I learned a lot from it.

It is true that bitcoin can really change someone's life, especially if you are really into it. I focused on my bitcoin as an asset and it makes me grow more as an individual when it comes to investments.

Honest answer, currently nothing new in my daily life. BUT, in case of an economic crash, making the government lose control of financial, economic, and monetary matters, I have back-up in my savings HODLed in Bitcoin.

It is not just about money, I know a lot of people see it as a main source of income but for me it is not just about earning and getting rich someday. For me it is about having a better economy and community, I really like the characteristics of a bitcoin which is decentralized where there is no institutions or government that have control on it. The broken system is still in our economy and it can be develop and improve through the use of bitcoin. Imagine also transferring big amount of money with less fees than using 3rd parties out there like banks and any broker. Look at the people around the world who lost hope because of the hyper inflation that they experienced before but now they are happy because bitcoin manage to fix their problems and they are now living normal life again.

In terms of an individual, bitcoin made me understand businesses and investments. It made me understand how hard-work pays off, and how a person can improve himself by patience and effort. Bitcoin is not that easy to manipulate and hold, but you need to deal with the risks in order to make it profitable for you. Learning more about it and trusting bitcoin will make you more courageous and dominant in the market. Bitcoin changed me, my mindset, my perspective when it comes on the reality of life. That there's always something that will keep you survive this reality, and there's an opportunity that is life changing. Huge credit for Satoshi Nakamoto, it is not important where is he right now, but I believed that he succeeded on making bitcoin, and it's not yet in its full potential.

Bitcoin for me, reduced the risk to make online payments for certain services. I was a victim of credit card fraud and it happened because my credit card details got into the hands of hackers, when they hacked a site with a whole database of people's credit card details. I lost a lot of money and I had to repay that.

Giving the Banks a middle finger, gave me great satisfaction and I also started to use eCommerce a lot more, since this incident happened. I was hesitant for a few years to buy things online, because of the credit card fraud that had happened, so Bitcoin gave me wings to gain more confidence in eCommerce again.  ;)

Also being in control of your own wealth is very liberating. You do not have to worry about ATM's not working or business hours at Banks.. your bitcoins are readily available ..24/7.  8)

I found bitcoin back in 2012, and I instantly fell in love with it. I didn't care about the money, I mean it was quite hard to when the value was pretty low, but I knew it was going to become something big. I loved that it was decentralised and anonymous. I loved that the community around it thrived on those two major foundations. It saddens me greatly to see that the passion for the two has been relatively lost in recent years.

Bitcoin liberated me, it got me into open-sourced software and appreciating my own privacy.

Well, it gave me hope. I've been struggling to find a job in the past before. While unemployed, my friends taught me how to invest in some stocks and lead me here, investing in crypto currencies and apparently, find more ways to earn more. It gave me hope because I never thought that I would be someone that would be unemployed for a while but because of the volatility of the price, I could make some profits in the short term and use that to reinvest again and again.

At that time I can't actually put all of my money into crypto currency not until I got a job and fully use those profits I am getting from investing to reinvest again, not just with bitcoin but also with other crypto currencies as well.

I found bitcoin back sometime during 2013-14.  I don't remember when exactly I first heard about bitcoin, but I know I "studied" it for about a year before buying.  Bitcoin has done all sorts for me just like other who've been around this place for a few years, but the friendships I've met throughout the bitcoin community is probably the best thing bitcoin has done for myself, helped introduce me to quite a few good buddies.

I have never use btc directly to buy online (am looking forward to doing so soon) but I have trade btc for fiat to solve personal problems and to me that is very satisfying, just that feeling of having something to fall back on is amazing,  plus btc has brought me good profit, so I believe btc has done enough to impact my life positively.

To be honest, I am a little disappointed with the government regulations here that prohibit the use of bitcoin as access to online payments, even though before that I could pay for electricity, water, phone bills, this made it very easy for me.
but through Bitcoin intermediary, I can change the family economy for the better even a lot better. investing in bitcoin with great patience, is like having a very valuable treasure (it is invisible but very profitable). here i am building a small cryptocurrency community.

When I first know about Bitcoin, it was in 2014. I only created this account and a couple of wallets (Coins.PH and Blockchain). After that, I ignored them because I simply couldn't understand it.

Three years later (2017), I noticed the growth of Bitcoin and pumping all it's way to an all-time high. I'm not only focused on the price though, but understanding about it's technology and real use case. It motivates me to become a Bitcoin and cryptocurrency advocate by becoming a keynote speaker in various parts of the Philippines to educate the masses.

Not only I'm thankful to Bitcoin, but also to Ethereum and other cryptocurrencies (whether bought, airdrop, bounty, etc.) that really helped turned my life around. I paid my debts, leveling up my Christmas and birthday gifts and treats to my loved ones, traveling both locally and internationally for two years.

I'm very grateful on what Bitcoin has done for me, and also other cryptocurrencies.

I started bitcoin only on free sites like faucets, paid to click ads and even encoding i did that just to earn free bitcoin which was already a big achievement for me at that time, to be honest. Bitcoin did a great feat in my crypto career because it gave me an extra income while just at home and i had a spare time to all that free stuff that helped me a lot of my expenses on electric and internet monthly bills. So, now i am still on crypto but on bounty hunting stuff that also give me more opportunity to earn free tokens/coins that to be exchange into the market and earn free bitcoin for all my hard works.

Before knowing Bitcoin, I always have a hard time withdrawing my money online. I mean after I successfully earned it from hard work, there's a lot of things to do to get it. But with Bitcoin, I never had such experience. in fact, the first time I got my first earning, I withdraw right away and bought some cake to prove that it really works. My first BTC earned from bounty payment was a social media campaign that pays BTC and right after I got my pays I bought my self some cake to celebrate my first BTC earnings.

Bitcoin has got me fired from my office, but it is making me better. Bitcoin has built me into an independent business without worrying that I'm late coming in every morning, having to work overtime because of sudden and urgent assignments, receive punishment from my boss because work is not good, have to wait once a month to receive a salary.

My life has changed for the better and I have accumulated a great wealth of money thanks to Bitcoin. My life has improved and I have bought many of the things I need through Bitcoin.

I don't wanna assume this but I guess most of us are too skeptical about bitcoin at first coz the technology that time was still unappreciated for most of the people, and only a few has a computer that time, even phones are just keypad-ed. I was just able to know it in early 2017 when a friend told me about it, but I was the one who discovered this forum but unfortunately he got lose his interest to it when he got his own family. Bitcoin has done so much for me, I got my gaming computer out of it in 2017, got a bunch of cash when I sell it all out, just the basic dreams that I hoped for a very long time. What's the best in feeling is when you provide yourself your things, and that is with the help of bitcoin  :D

Answering your question, OP: The first one for me is that the so much jingles on radio about Bitcoin got me into Google for research and that's how I found this Bitcointalk forum. So, whether through google or radio I found myself here. I have continually gained knowledge I never knew here on cryptocurrency.

Secondly, I have met some compatriots through this platform too. Last but not least, this phenomenal Bitcoin has further raised my curiosity on how the world will be when we shall have another financial world order after cryptocurrency. Remember, we had Barter, Fiat and now Cryptocurrency. No doubt, a time will come when cryptocurrency will also fave the challenge of bring phased out by a new tech.

In a period where inflation is the order of the day, bitcoin and crypto currency has been a great wealth. I have ensured to convert my fiat to btc, then convert to usdt, then back to fiat every time i need money.

To be honest, I'm a little sensitive when talking about Bitcoin which has helped a lot in my life. Every time remember what was done

Bitcoin considered a valuable asset nowadays, aside from gold, and resources that can be a good investment, bitcoin is an exception, fiat slowly increase and decrease but bitcoins volatility exceeds my expectation. Banks silently steals money from people with an odd number to their respective debit/savings card that can't be withdrawn.

Bitcoin offers a special wallet depends on what platform, that you can check every day, and be surprised if the value decreases or increase in a short period of time, the level of cryptocurrency from fiat is way too high which is no wonder it will help you a lot.

Bitcoin done so many things for me. IT'S teach a lot. And it's serve as a medium for me to know and learn about cryptocurrencies. I'm still lack of knowledge about it though but I'm always willing to learn more about bitcoin and more. Ith helps me a lot, really. I like this reply. Yes, from an educational standpoint, Bitcoin has definitely made me learn about the basics of economics, and some finance, but mainly learn about why Austrian Economics is good, and a debate for why Keynesian economics might also good.

The things that bitcoin has done for me that it helps me to become independent with my life, and I don't need to ask my parents to pay my tuition fees in college and buy the things that I want and need. That is why buying bitcoin is an opportunity for me to keep moving forward and reach my goals in life. Bitcoin has also taught me to have patience and control in holding my money and my investments in cryptocurrency for them not to go to waste.

What Bitcoin have done to us?
-Paid school tuition fees for my wife.
-Paid school tuition fees for our son.
-Bought us a 49" Smart TV.
-Helped us reached destinations we have not been.
-Bought new phones for me and my wife.
-Bought new laptops for me and my wife.
-Covered to pay most of our bills.

I am hoping someday that Bitcoin will buy us a house and our own car as we do not have these yet. (We are currently leaving with my wife's parents' house.)

Most of the replies I've seen focuses on financial and material achievements we have from bitcoin and it isn't bad. But for me, bitcoin enables me to see the world in a wider perspective where I learn to wait and be patient at all times. I also perceive that we don't need a recognition in order for us to develop a product that will revolutionize the world's financial system. Looking at satoshis, this gave me the feeling of being contented and to value pieces even without having everything (1 bitcoin).

Lastly, I have become financially independent especially through paying my college's tuition fee having the capacity to put food to our small table.

It won't be surprising to know that the majority of people in this forum will say that Bitcoin helped them in an aspect related to profit because that's its main use at this moment given that Bitcoin and other cryptos are not yet being accepted to most of the countries as a digital currency being used in daily living. So those people who are living in countries of the likes, will more likely make use of Bitcoin and other cryptos as an investment to also, make use of its advantage or its volatile market price which benefits them. Unlike to those people here who are living in countries wherein cryptos are widely accepted, they would more likely be able to appreciate the convenience this technology is giving to them, more.

Simply i wanna say it was a treasure for me.My life has got u turn after getting bitcoin .I got it when the price was 1500$ above i invested few and got the trend to reach 15000$ above .Its also help me to rapid ,secured and anonymous transaction system .I am so happy the its going still now .

When I first learned Bitcoin, my life extremely change. It became my favorite past time working in here and earning at the same time. It absolutely served as my financial provider. It did help me to be worry-free from all the utility bills at home. I couldn't imagine how my life was made before, being always struggling for a job that paid less and always worrying, surrounded with debts just to feed my big family. Since Bitcoin is illegal in my country, I have to secretly convert it into Fait Money through a third party.

As for me, bitcoin has also done relevant things for me. I was able to buy my self and my parents some of our daily needs (and some wants if the budget allows it), and the biggest so far is that, I was able to help my partner financially during his review for his licensure examination. It just feels so good to help other people, and much better because we are in control of our the money we earn.

Saying that Bitcoin has done for somebody a lot isn't correct. Bitcoin is just a tool, nothing more.

I believe it's your hard work that helped you. Saving/investing/trading your money in Bitcoin merely helped make your savings more valuable in fiat.

I still have an earning although I have left my workplace and now bitcoin has become a source income to me.

I do day trading and getting money around $20 in a day due to I spend a small capital to start trading.

And seem like I will continue this activity and I've decided not to look for another job and want to focus on trading.

as a miner back then the only off ramp was mtgox and dwolla and coins were around $10 USD and i mined with gaming GPUs. it then fell to around $2 USD for a loooong time. i still mined though through that phase. so it was more a hobby and to be part of the Grand Experiment. where it would eventually go i had no idea but i felt it was a game changer.. but not to the extent it wound up to be.

as to someone saying it would go to 10K (and 20k) back then..well i would of laughed in their face.

but i liked the tech and making (back then) chump change with a gaming rig (later buying several cards, mostly ATI HD58xx and 68xx series cards) to subsidize my gaming rigs but i dindt fully understand it till much later. once i fully understood the white paper.. well it blew my mind as to its simplicity and vision. and here we are.

I'm lucky because i'm one of those people who knows already about bitcoin, I haven't been in the crypto world that long and i'm not as knowledgeable as like many here, but I can say that bitcoin has also helped me a lot in my life. That is because bitcoin is a very valuable asset. You dont have to pay taxes on the bitcoin you earn if your country doesnt have regulation on them and you're free to use them whenever you need them. But the next time your country issues a regulation on income tax from bitcoin, then you will have to pay that too.

Ever since knowing Bitcoin, I didn't even consider trading and investing as a way to earn some profit. I thought that you will be needing a lot of capital to start trading and investing and that is when my friend introduced cryptocurrencies to me. As I use some of my salaries to reinvest, I also keep on hoping that I would use Bitcoin as a currency but right now all I can do is hold and trade. I met some people because of this and also have new friends to talk to about this.

Total control over my digital funds. Bitcoin has given me much in this regard as the Banks can't dictate to me the cons and don't they have within their powers.  The government decisions concerning financial institutions can't have impact in my holdings as I only have control over my assets with Bitcoin. Fiats currency going down has nothing to do with me anymore because am myself boss, these and many more Bitcoin has done for me per se. 

no, even after more or less understanding the white paper and sound money i still sold most as it was (and still is) an experiment. although now its pretty well established. but back then, at anytime it could of gone to zero (and still could tbh). so i sold many at local highs over the years ($100, $350 etc). gave me some good upgrades to my lifestyle.

but when the 2017 bull run happened while i sold too, now i keep as much of a reserve as possible. i never expected that kind of rise. once it happened.. well now its a different story.

so, maybe 80-90% of my mined coins are gone. keep in mind though the whole reason i got into it was to make some profit from my hobby and participate in the Grand Experiment and that was the deal i made with my wife (and myself).. to actually USE bitcoin as at that time the use case was very up in the air. if no one spent early btc, it could of failed.

so, no real regrets. i feel that helped make bitcoin what it is today (in my extremely small way).

But you would have to convert your bitcoins to fiat to do transactions as there aren't many stores that are accepting bitcoins as a payment method and on top of ot, if the price varies too much then you would have to take some loss while selling your bitcoins. For me, bitcoin has given me a chance to do investments where only a few are doing and also a sneak peek into the future of world currencies as in the future I believe that the same kind of currencies will be used to transact on a daily basis with people all around the world.

If you have done your homework right then the chances of sleeplessness night are very low and you can have a beautiful sleep, but if there is any error in calculations then not only your nights would be in sleeplessness but you might loose big sums of money in the process. I work as a freelancer and my previous employer(He stopped giving me work since Corona pandemic  :() use to pay me in Bitcoins because other payment services charge a huge amount in fees. We tried Paypal for a while but they kept raising their fees every few months plus their conversion rate is always so low as compared to the market price. So, to the answer the question. Bitcoin has helped me receive payment for my hard-work in full without losing too much on nonsensical fees.

A lot of things that bitcoin made to me and I am really happy even until now that I am part of this community. I enjoy every lesson I have learned and use it to become productive in everyday life.

Bitcoin has opened new economic possibilities. Not only is Bitcoin a great store of value, and good investment in general, but the community surrounding Bitcoin enables people from around the world to collaborate on projects that have a massive potential for progressing the global economy into an innovative direction.

I"m involved in Bitcoin for a long time, seven years now. In that time it helped me through hard financial times when I didn't have any other options with fiat money. But it wasn't easy, I had to learn a lot and also faced the losses. However, I can say that it saved me and showed there is an alternative to traditional finances.

Bitcoin has made a great payment method not for me, but for people in the future, and with Bitcoin we use even now, we can send and receive money from anywhere with one click. If this goes on, who knows what kind of technology we will encounter in the future.

I will not deny that bitcoin has bring to me a lot of benefits but it has also brought a lot of other issues into my life, and without a doubt stress and anxiety are at the top of that list, anyone that is an investor or a trader probably knows what I'm talking about, the price seems to be doing well and everything is fine and suddenly out of nowhere we see a huge drop in the price, similar to what is happening right now, and you immediately begin to wonder what to do right now and for the most part you only have minutes to take the right decision and if you take the incorrect one you will lose money.

I started joining this forum when I was still a college student and the earnings that I got from campaign signatures supplied me with law books that I am using right now in my post-graduate studies. To be honest, I am new to bitcoin world but very excited. I am still 18 years old but I know bitcoin doesn't care about age. Before the lockdown I made some good contacts with good people which had given me a good name among my equals. I learned control that Bitcoin taught me. Control that is not just limited to having it in my wallet and possessing it completely, but a control which stops me from gambling. Yes, BTC helped me overcome my gambling habits or it was actually addiction, but I fought it very well because of BTC.

The price of BTC is the reason I stopped gambling. I have lost more than 100 BTC (I will not give an accurate number) when it was just $500 a BTC. Though a big loss, not very big if it remained there. But it turned $10k, then $15k and even near to $20k. The number became so huge I cried the whole night (I was not so happy watching BTC going this high) and this stopped me from gambling.

I am a huge fan of bitcoin but I don't think that it will be adapted by the whole word easily because it has a lot of disadvantages that needs to be improved most especially it's volatility because it's volatility may affect the whole world if and only if will be adapted someday. For example when the price of bitcoin is at it's lowest we will altogether experience the money shortage and poverty and that is not a good idea.

I know Bitcoin in 2016 and use it since 2017. I use Bitcoin for international money transfers quickly, safely, and easily. I don't have to bother going to the bank and giving all my data to a third party.

All I can say is so far so good. Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies gives me an opportunity to change my life. Even though after 2017 things got bearish in the market, at least I've stored promising coins and right now I'm just waiting for the right moment to sell them. It's not that big but it's enough to feed me everyday. I'm also thankful because if Bitcoin doesn't exist, I'm still having problems when it comes financially.

I have no doubt in bitcoin because to tell you honestly it change my life. When the price hit in a bull run stage I earn well so far. It gives more opportunity to earn money not only me but also to others. When you just learned and educate yourself in crypto you can gain knowledge and at the same time, earning. A life changing career in this kind of technology.

Bitcoin has changed my life a lot. The first thing I learned about bitcoin was from a friend of mine. He first told me the details about bitcoin. From then on I started investing in bitcoin and started making a small profit from bitcoin. And investing slowly has helped me make a difference in my life. I always think of it as my banking system. And yet with money in my hand I actually like to invest in science.

If I look at my past, I will come to know that bitcoin has changed my life. Before the introduction of bitcoin, I was working on a job. Later I started my online career and was paid in bitcoins. Bitcoin has done so many stuff in my entire life, probably if I didn't know Bitcoin exist, I would have not even live until this time because I couldn't pay anything such as my school and monthly bills. Without it, probably I will not be a financial literate person right now. Many people aren't that literate when it comes to financial things to be honest. I have some friends (actually my mentors here) that started late than yours because they enters crypto at 2014 near end but now they are already ended the bounties and now having their trading strategy and also business in real life.

Because bounty hunting still is profitable while not risking money out of his own pocket. If he just landed on a campaign that eventually goes high because of bullrun, a single campaign to earn about 1000 tokens could be worth $10K for him. Thats easy money for him while dong just for a month.

Bitcoin made my life good as I  have something to watch out for every time the market moves. I wouldn't be left out when old people talk about investment which I believe my confidence to face the future is higher.

The most direct thing is that my funds have appreciated in value. This is a return of long-term holdings. I am very fortunate that I did not put all the eggs in our country’s central bank. It helps a lot from a financial point of view. and it also help me to Avoid using credit cards online. facilitate international transactions. expand my business wider and international reach . what has been clear so far has always provided convenience and a positive impact for me and the business.
maybe I've been fooled by fake cloud investments and lost assets because of bitcoin. but this is completely my fault not bitcoin. bitcoin has had a positive impact so far.

What I get in general some people also get it. Of course with Bitcoin I can invest and earn from the trade. This is quite helpful for my economy because at least there is additional income. If it is used as a transaction tool for exchanging goods/services, I have not felt that way. But Bitcoin is really helpful and useful, it's not wrong if many people join in it, especially here we are in control of ourselves, not the government like the central bank, so I feel much freer in managing it.

The country I live in is struggling with the covid19 pandemic, they are still wreaking havoc on our economy. People are jobless and rely on bailouts from elsewhere. Good for you but if I may say, I can deduce from what you're doing, you don't seem to make a lot because you're doing trading but you said that bitcoin hasn't made you any money yet so there's a likely chance that you're not doing something to improve what you're making.
