Teleported Rank

The crypto community is growing fast, and with new waves of users, the experience gets diluted. We end up with groups of people talking nonsense about price speculation, with no real knowledge at all.
We want experienced people to have a say on our forum. That's why we are launching the Teleported rank.
This rank allow top users to teleport from other forums to ours, while keeping their rank.
That means they can have valuable discussions, share their knowledge and improve the quality of discussion, but also they can join bounties and airdrops on our forum as well.

There are few simple conditions:
- Need to open an account with the same username as the forum you are teleporting from.
- If you already have an account here, tell me to label the teleported one as duplicate.
- In the signature in the other forum, put a link to the teleported profile you opened on our forum, link should be: My Altt
- message me with details:
 link to your profile + info if it is your first account here or it's a duplicate

Open teleportation gates:
- bitcointalk : ranks with full member and above
- Other forums: ranks with senior members and above  :> Might be closed soon

That's good but how about joining bounties from you that have separate bitcointalk campaign and separate altcoinstalk campaign? Will users be able to do both campaign with his or her single account? Isn't this cheating? And I will like to know if there are some projects campaign on altcoinstalk that aren't available on here?

So users can use high-ranking accounts in both forums without any effort to create content on it. This seems ridiculous and demeaning of a cryptocurrency forum, inheritance can only benefit the members of the bounty program besides I don't see them as valuable. All ranks should be demonstrated through the dedication to quality articles.
Altcoinstalks now has a growing number of users as the rules and censorship from Bitcointalk are tighter. I have seen a few bounty campaigns that favor altcoinstalks members more.

I'm also there and not very active. Recently I was annoyed by some high-rank members via PM after I was speculating about spammers on that forum. Quite surprised that many spammers are able to do 100 posts/day even some of them are done by their moderators. I said they're probably bots and they didn't accept it, LOL.

there are account farmers everywhere,
on altt we have some tools to detect and take some actions
we have automated badges that the spammers get, and obviously everything has consequences
however, posting too many posts does not mean they can rank up, as our system takes also many factors in consideration, a bit like btt
thus we do not necessarily go after people posting too much, as it does not really matter if they post too much or not
and we try to avoid conflicts and aggression, hence a friendly forum, or at least, the friendliest it can be ...

That's good but how about joining bounties from you that have separate bitcointalk campaign and separate altcoinstalk campaign? Will users be able to do both campaign with his or her single account? Isn't this cheating? And I will like to know if there are some projects campaign on altcoinstalk that aren't available on here?

Thanks to bubbalex for posting this I am not aware of this and this is such a big opportunity to teleport my rank I will be active in altcoinstalk again, altscointalk is a also a very important forum that contributed to the advancement of Cryptocurrency.

I also noticed that there are a lot of bounty campaign in the altcoinstalk now, this is a good opportunity for bounty hunters like me, they now have two bounty forum to work on.

It seems the altcoinstalks forum is trying to attract more users, however this will most likely destroy the altcoinstalks forum.
Members rank high because they contribute to the forum and are widely recognized, it is not fair to allow beginners to join the altcoinstalks forum with high rankings.

This is good news for bounty hunters who want to be active in forums other than bitcointalk,
but are the altcointalk forums crowded? because I have not been very active in the forum for a long time, only active a few times if there is a sudden need or want to participate in several campaigns.

I just heard about altcointalks, I'll check that out later. My question before I sign up (maybe): will I get a rank that is proportional to my account in this forum immediately even though I have no activity?  ;D

Even though you will or have registered with the same username, you should not use the same email and/or password for different sites because each has different security systems. If that happens on you, please change your password as soon as possible.

1- Yes this is the idea of teleported account, you get exact same rank
2- Obviously i would advise users to protect their accounts, but in case of hacks or even hijacks, you can always request password reset - unless you also lose the email !

I want to ask if this feature will transfer the negative and positive trust feedback of a user in the AltcoinTalks forum? I'm not a user of the Altcoinstalks forum, so I don't know if there is a trust system in that forum. But I think it will help your forum and user identify the good member and the bad member from bitcointalk.

It is obvious that altcointalk wants to attract more high-ranking members of the BTT forum to its forum. And they chose the right strategy, although it doesn't look entirely fair to regular ATT users.
Obviously, high ranks of BTT will not waste time and unnecessary swinging accounts, but with such a teleportation - why not?

Why not just create another account with your username here?

It's good diplomatic move from altcointalk.Atfirst it make the people to know about altcointalk.Most of the people in the forum was not aware about this altcointalk.It was similar to bitcointalk and give some payments to the hunters.

Don't just because of the first mover advantage but because they lack the enthusiasm the forum member of bitcointalk has. While other forum are just created to attract those wanting to make money, bitcointalk is about building future bitcoiners. The rules here are of standard and the features brings about a quality forum. With the merit system members of the community has been forced to engage more in constructive discussion but that can't be said about other forum.

Because I think terrible for teleported member and gain Legend rank instantaneously, which we must to make a hard effort to reach it but he reach it for so easy.

Actually I have no problem with the admin's decision,. because the altt has a higher ranking than the legend. I know your problem mate is not easy to get ranked hero and even legend on Altt, but the solution is only one, namely actively contributing to the forum, I think your rank will go up

It's good to believe people are naturally good. But what if they would like to use this feature to scam one of your members. It's unfair for some members who would like to use this feature for advertising their project, but this could be an advantage for scam purposes. Still, if your decision is final, I can't change it. Good luck with your forum.

I Just don't get 100% the advantage of this teleport rank, but the only thing for sure is the all their rank
over this forum of altcointalks are surely advantage.

altcoinsTalks is getting popular. there are many active users somehow, cryptocurrency will be populated with lots of people and I guess different forums as well will be populated by different people who wants to communicate with people of same interest. i will create an account there, it doesn't need to have same email address right?

you signed up in 2019 ... i left here in 2017, back then this forum was flooded by people who want to make money like everywhere else ...
the merit system is great and a big applaud to implementing it!
on altt we have other systems, we have karma, we have plagia strikes we have quality strikes, it's not an awful place ...

You may also need to consider the type of merit you get as a basis for granting teleport. I am sure you have known that members have received meritdrops according to the ranking of members when the merit system was implemented and some of them also managed to earn merit because they were good posters to move up to the next rank.

If you are also going to teleport members who have received meritdrops to date, you should give more privileges to members who move up the rankings based on the merit they have earned (eg teleporting them 1 to 2 rank higher than on this forum).

It's much easier to rank her in Altcoinstalk than here in Bitcointalk, these two forums are the top forums in the Cryptocurrency community, congratulations to those who are high rank members here and wants to teleport their account on Altcoinstalk, it's a win win situation for forum owners and members.

I don't have an account on that forum. After I looked in general what the forum is and the activity of its users, I realized that I did not want to have an account there. Maybe someday my opinion will change, but now there is nothing to do there. Even such promotions will not change much.

The admin must consider this, it's not good for people to start from zero activity and must to try harder to get a high rank,, but he knows there is a system which allows new people can get high rank instantly, it's hurt for him and I think admin already know the lack of this system. So i hope there is a good system for all members..

I think this kind of features (ranks teleport) can be a good and bad at the same time. It will be good for people that came from other forum like Bitcointalk, they can just up their ranks without much effort, but it might be also seems unfair to totally new comers. I still dont quite understand how the ranks affect the user on altcointalk tho, I got a 'baby-step' rank and already able to put image on my signature

I saw a type of compliant from someone about how members coming from here and now have Legendary ranks with no effort. To me it makes sense though, acknowledging users high activity in the crypto space from another forum only seems fair. They have the teleported badge so it's still obvious their activity is from elsehwere until it's removed.

39 teleports so far I see in just over a week, so I guess it's working. Disclaimer: I'm a mod so my opinion in bias :P

its look not fair for old member that spend much effort to get their current rank. but altcoinstalks do this strategy to make their forum be more active and attract new user that not active due rank reason.

you could make it first, before this promotion end. someday att account will usefull and you could regret if not make it now.

Altcoins Talk forum is a good alternative for BTT but managing two accounts for ranking is not fair and the old members who work hard will definitely lose their positions/ranks. For new members, I think it is a better way to get a good rank.

I think it will have nothing to do with the income earned. At the moment I think a manager like an OP who creates a campaign in two forums can be cheated by a bounty hunter who joins two or more accounts in two forums. with such a system, I think it will be easy to record the ownership of the same account. I also think it is part of the strategy to make the altcointalk forum livelier by attracting more active members.

It is not about active users, it is about knowledgeable users, at the end all the forums are partly to educate the public about crypto. if you have bad teachers you get bad students, and forums are peer education thus the student becomes a teacher who teaches others ... hope you got my point

even though this forum has a lot of members and traffic, but I see in the bounty section of the forum, there are many bounties held there, so it doesn't hurt to join in 1 bounty there, I've teleported to altc but haven't had time to active there, because I haven't found a bounty that I think is good

I don't find any big reason why we need to register in that website using our username here just to take advantage on the rank. Is there anything that forum offer other than they have bounty there the same bounty that we also have here?


For me our bounty thread is enough unless you are project owner that want to advertise your project to different from thats might be very helpful for you.

Yes there is, please use DdmrDdmr (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1582324)'s statistical table to find out the amount of merit collected after the system was implemented before teleporting.
Go to the User Summary tab > then type the username or userid in the Name field (right side. Then the user data will appear as follows:

Merit received (green) are merits that are only earned by posts based (please count only this one),
Initial merit (yellow) are meritdrops that are earned automatically when the system is implemented (please ignore this one).
To remind you the amount of merit required to move up the rankings in this forum, please adjust the amount of user merit in the "Merit Received" column:

I have been away for quite a while and I wasn't aware that there is this forum for alternate cryptos. Thank you OP for posting this thread. For a bounty hunter like me, it is wonderful because I will be able to find another bounty and earn from it for my financial reasons.

Maybe you have a point but if someone does well at bitcointalk they deserve to get credit for that and reputed members of this forum deserve to be recognized on other forums as well.

I wasn't aware either and I am happy because a lot of altcoin discussion will now happen on that forum probably keeping this forum clear for BTC related discussions.

I was a little surprised when I saw they also have a "KYC Verified" feature which I saw here - http://prntscr.com/vn4pqo not going to do that though but nice to see such features.

It is not a copy. The altt is altcoins centered. With a section for bitcoin, so it is kindof reversed.
Anyway, you are welcome to join.
Traffic obviously is much greater from btt, but also take in consideration that most bounties get little attention on btt due to high traffic / post bumping ...
While smaller bounties get 100x more attention on altt, because due to less bounties, every bounty get it's chance to get an exposure.
Many bounties are even running on both forums ...

I think Altcoins account is easy to rank up because there is no need to acquire merits so that it can rank up. I guess it just need activities which same as the bitcointalk.org  before where ranking up needs only activities. However, the projects being promoted their is very difficult to trust if it really pay. Between the two forums bitcointalk and  altcoinstalk then I prefer bitcointalk.org even if it required merits to rank up at least you can enjoy here to learn and sometimes can earn depending on how good you chose a project to join.

Oh wow, that's nice. I never used this altcoinstalk forum since I am loyal in bitcointalk.org for the oast three years. Now I think it is better to try a new place for information and earning money. I think altcoinstalk is a good forum that regulated well by moderators. If that happens, it could be easily to new members to follow the ranking system. If there is no merit system, it could be also an immediate place to get high ranks. But we all know that merit contributes a lot for the forum to stay useful and avoid spamming activities.

Yes, but it's completely safe. This really helps users to view various statistics of this forum. If you really want to filter the users to be teleported by post quality, please use this method.
At first, maybe some good posters will get a little annoyed with old spamming users on your forum. It just takes a little time to adapt.

I don't know for sure and I don't want to give you speculative answers. You have to ask the creator directly. As far as I know, this forum only has its own statistics center page which is not as detailed as external tools. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=stats

However, it is rare to find a bounty held in two forums at the same time, for me, forums like Bitcointalk alone can get whatever information I want to find.

the forums are pretty different, style, looks, focus, sections ...
the only thing they have similar is the forum software ...

This is great for bounty hunters to be able to follow bounty campaigns that are on altcoinstalks but not available on bitcointalk. But most likely the purpose of this feature is to improve the altcoinstalks forum for the better like bitcointalk.

There are also more ranks, Mythical and Padawan, as well as a many more special membership groups (such as teleporters). Users misbehaving receive behavioral strikes, plagiarism strikes and so on. The structure and moderation is also quite different basically...

they made that feature because they hoped the post on their forum was better than before, and the bounty on the altc is still a little bit I see, more on this forum, maybe with this feature a new project will start promoting it on the altc forum too,

Like for example now, if I want to teleport my bitcointalk rank to altcoinstalk , I will have to put my altcointalk account link on my bitcointalk signature? Is this what they mean??

There is no need to add in your signature. You can add your altcointalk profile link to your bitcointalk forum information, like website.
You can check my profile for information if don't understand.

This is a very short time event and I do not think many high-ranking BTT members will be interested to do that. There is a lot of space in this forum to contribute so they may not go to another forum which is full of spam poster. But I hope that the forum will be as good as BTT and they need to do some changes to their forum rules and ranking system.

That's a great idea Admin Alts did. I think it gives everyone a chance to get good ratings. The legends at BTT will get the same opportunity at Alts. I think this is part of recruiting participants to stay active there. But do they only provide a rank label, while participants' efforts to activate the forum are very small.

Adding a signature (for 24hrs) is only for joining the "Potential Hero" membership group, as well as reserved for higher ranks. Teleporting is a lot more straightforward  ;)

It looks like the two community are cooking up stuffs. i wish to see bitcointalk allow users from altcointalk to also teleport their account into bitcointalk and gain probably a little rank up. if altcointalk can allow members here to migrate and maintain their ranking statues. i see no reason why altcointalk users can not migrate to bitcointalk and enjoy the same gratitude giving to them as well. My humble opinion.

Adding a signature (for 24hrs) is only for joining the "Potential Hero" membership group, as well as reserved for higher ranks. Teleporting is a lot more straightforward  ;)

That's a great idea Admin Alts did. I think it gives everyone a chance to get good ratings. The legends at BTT will get the same opportunity at Alts. I think this is part of recruiting participants to stay active there. But do they only provide a rank label, while participants' efforts to activate the forum are very small.

Bounties will probably have an influence on the activity. The same as bounties have an influence on the activity here. If there were no bounties most bounty hunters will have little activity

it takes 1000 merit point to become legendary, that means ages ...
thus it's going to be very difficult for btt users to accept such an option

I think this is very good to implement and hopefully I can register on the altcoinstalk forum because I see a lot of good potential that can be obtained there, still enthusiastic to find profit.

Personally I don't feel cheated, I have a high rank over there as well as a high rank here, both of which I earnt. I'm happy to see members teleporting over there, it's kinda cool. It is however more difficult for teleported members to rank up, due to also needing account aging and accumulated activity (https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=179868.msg993689#msg993689), as opposed to simply posts & activity.

Not forgetting that if we're talking about bounty hunters feeling cheated, then also enough bounties requires X karma to join, that teleported members will also have to earn. One bounty recently had a >100 karma threshold, which basically means no teleported members so far would have been able to join, only natively ranked users realistically.

Yes mate, its still very much available , i just got teleported on altcoinstalks a couple of days ago , all you got to do is make sure your bitcointalk username is the same as your altcoinstalks username and then, you are good to go, follow the procedures as stated in this thread, or you can visit altcoinstalks and read the process there, do what the instruction says and pm the admin with your links, and in a day or two , you will be teleported .

Actually most are teleported within few hours...

I am confused, what it is stopping a complete newbie from just selecting a high ranked account in this forum and claim that they are the owners and immediately go up in the ranks in that forum without deserving it?

Are they implementing anything to stop people from abusing this practice? For example do you have to sign a message with an address known to have been used by the account in this forum to be able to tell you are the actual owner of the account you claim to have in bitcointalk? Because if they do not then this will backfire badly.

I found some issues and loopholes for this idea, please read:

- All teleported users should keep a link to their altcoinstalks profile, this can be in signature as a simple "My Alts" link, or anywhere else, maybe as their website, or anywhere else, maybe a post my altcoinstalks account  (this will be tough to find though).
or eventually: put My Altt: your username somewhere in your profile: about me / ICQ / AIM /MSN etc ...
This is needed so that we can check at any moment that the user is the one teleported, and not allow same user to change username and teleport 100 times. / for now not a priority but try to abide by this.

Yes, it will benefit everyone above the rank of full members. Especially those who have received negative trust. There are many people who get it for a small mistake will benefit more. Those who have more negative trust will inevitably take special consideration. Because they may re-engage in offensive activities there as well. Another thing to consider is that those who are trusted will be able to participate in both threads in parallel. But working in two places is quite difficult. I believe they will feel much more comfortable here. This is their familiar habitat.

This feature does not make much sense to me, I mean if someone wants to be a member at altcoinstalks then he should register there and naturally rank up, this would also help the member to understand the posting rules of the particular forum, this would give another unfair advantage to old bitcointalk accounts that have never earned merits but have hero and legendary ranks just because of old, merit less system.

Didn't know this type of feature is possible in a forum but I think I like it, I might try it out, am not yet a member of altcoinstalk maybe this is a good opportunity to be a member there and still maintain my rank level,
I like to see new innovation in a place and I think many people will find this very useful even though some think it is not. Kudos to the altcoinstalk admins for introducing such feature.

good tricks or tips, I think if you really want to use the altcointalk forum and are already ranked or in a high position it will make their interest a little more, although not too sure but increasing the number on the forum will help the crypto community to grow even bigger.

Thats cool and advantageous to the high ranking Bitcointalk users they can now teleport their rank in the Altcoinstalk forum. By the way in the case of bounty campaigns I think the limit was still applied on both forums BTT and ATT like what Bounty Detective was doing that they allocate an equal slot for both forums. so that means if you are already joined in BitcoinTalk let's say in a Signature campaign you cant join in AltcoinsTalk Campaign using the same teleported account so it's an equal opportunity since both forums are after the development of cryptocurrencies as a whole.

This is a good move by Altcointalk forum people, if they can retain the loyalty of these new accounts porting over there it would help the forum a lot. Can a teleported user also become a Potential Hero if they wear a sig here (like AbbyS' above) for 24 hours still? I'd like my clone to be one of the illusive potential heroes if possible, even if it's already a hero member. The superman style badge is to die for though. Also have signature space for the moment...please sir?
I would also like the contradiction of being a hero and a potential hero, which seems suiting for a clone.

The OP has a point, that's what I also think about it Sir. The majority of the member in the altcointalks are came also into Bitcointalk, Because I have a lot of friend there that came here from this forum. And besides, BTT is differ than the altcointalks, isn't that right? And in my assessment too, not so sure about this thoughts but I think there is a possibility that perhaps some of the members here in BTT who got banned their account here shifted to create an account there in altcointalks in terms of restrictions compared here in bitcointalk where it is much more restricted and We all know that.

Users have reacted in mixed ways. Most understand the benefit of having more "senior" crypto-based members engaged in the forum, as well as the benefit to those who have teleported, others have argued it diminishes their own rank. You're one of many, so wouldn't worry about it.  "Native" members have adapted well to the change overall, they've gotten over it already.

Don't some of you ever read! even members can teleport their account, if you had spare a few minutes to read from top you will see that this has been answered several times, it always pay to go through previous post especially the immediate post to know what has been said, hope you get it.

I think that's a good thing, the longer the forum and the spread of crypto is getting wider, I don't know the exact reason they do this. But this is a good step to spread crypto more widely, not seeing it as a competitive forum, but rather as a long-term profit.

Tag means when someone's account is marked red by a DT member for an offence.

It's a good information to hear, i was a member on Bitcoin Garden forum but never knew about AltcoinsTalks till this moment. Could you guys mention what's special about that forum apart from its main role which is included in the title? It's for Altcoins but do you guys know the people behind that project?

I wonder how many members here have taken this opportunity to teleport their rank, if you are a high ranking member of Bitcointalk and you have a newbie account on altcoin talk, this is a big leap from your altcoinstalk rank, if will take some time for your newbie account to rank to legendary on altcoinstalk, can admin share their stat it will increase activities in altcoinstalk because there are now many bounty campaigns in altcoinstalk.

You won't get the same type of engagement from other open forums.  Knowing this was the original no point in moving on.  What exactly is it that let ypu down.  The problem here mostly has to do with scammers but if you split for another forum and it' gets big same thing will happen there.  Tough to find a place to get the engagement that this forum has.
