I’ve been the dev of IXCoin for 8 year with little help from
Anyone. No compensation of any kind. I killed any pump
And dump attempt cause I wanted a clean image, as a result we never raised easy money.  We never sold out.  Deadsea and bled for this coin but he has given up.  Thomas Nasakioto the creator has been MIA for ~4 years.

But I never never up.  I put my own cash over 700,000 IXcoin and used myself as a propaganda model to keep IXcoin alive because I predicted from the beginning it and all the old legit coins like I0C, NMC, would be nurried under big money and big hype coins.  And that’s exactly what happened.  But anyone who’s been in crypto a few years remembers me and IXcoin - the bitcoin twin.  

The old thread the went MIA and now someone thinks this coin is dead so they can take it over even tho I have been active daily and telling people to buy everywhere I go and gave away hundreds of thousands of ixc to grow the community.  Truth is nobody cares about a cheap coin.  We need a good dev and awareness.

I don’t like ixc being a sidechain when it can do it all and, instantly and for fractions of a penny txs.  There are no coins like IXcoin.  Buy while you can on Freiexchange cause there isn’t much left.  Ignore the noise and hype, join the real crypto revolution

Shorter maturity period

New blockchain
Although Bitcoin's blockchain is in the same format as Ixcoin's, they use different genesis blocks and have a different reward scheme. So Bitcoins will not be valid in the Ixcoin blockchain and vice-versa.

What is Ixcoin?

Ixcoin is an open source digital currency, based on the cryptocurrency Bitcoin, which is distributed over a peer-to-peer network to offer irreversible, low-cost, anonymous and decentralized monetary transactions. Ixcoin is the first Bitcoin clone or Alternative chain, created in May 2011 just a few weeks after the distributed DNS Namecoin. Today, there exists many Bitcoin clones, thousands, but IXcoin was the 1st and has never died or been 51 attacked.  

Ixcoins are the unit of currency of the Ixcoin system. Similarly to Bitcoin's BTC, a commonly used shorthand for this is “IXC” to refer to a price or amount (eg: “100 IXC”). An Ixcoin isn't tangible. It is just a number associated with a Ixcoin Address, which is a string of 33 numbers and letters which begin with the letter x such as xa9jpgHugb2pTCpzoZcDdiHKepy8mjpddX. How does Ixcoin differ from Bitcoin?

Shorter maturity period

There are currently ~11M (as of June 2013) in existence and it is expected that all 21 million Bitcoins will have been generated by 2033. Whereas all 21 million Ixcoins are available now in 2015. This is because 16*6=96 IXC were created per new block, instead of 50 BTC in Bitcoin.

Ixcoin maturity will be reached ~18 years before Bitcoin's. By mid-2013, the number of IXC and BTC will reach parity (for a brief moment).

New blockchain

Although Bitcoin's blockchain is in the same format as Ixcoin's, they use different genesis blocks and have a different reward scheme. So Bitcoins will not be valid in the Ixcoin blockchain and vice-versa.

Different default ports

Bitcoin's operating port 8333 is changed to 8337 with Ixcoin.

Merged Mining

Ixcoin implemented merge mining with Bitcoin in 2012. Merge mining allows a Bitcoin miner to mine for more than one block chain at the same time. The benefit is that every hash the miner does contributes to the total hash rate of both (all) currencies, and as a result they are all more secure.

Where is my wallet stored in Ixcoin?

Your Ixcoin wallet is stored in the Ixcoin data directory. This is the same location format as with Bitcoin and will typically be of the form:

Can I use my bitcoin.conf and bitcoin.pid with Ixcoin?

Yes. Just rename them respectively to ixcoin.conf and ixcoin.pid and move them to your system's wallet directory (see above). Alternatively, use the command switches -conf=<file> and -pid=<file> respectively to point to your custom bitcoin.conf and bitcoin.pid files.
Are there any other differences between Ixcoin and Bitcoin?

Apart from those listed above, Ixcoin is a direct fork of the original Bitcoin source code. The goal is for Ixcoin to mirror Bitcoin's code exactly (apart from listed differences) in the future.

Note that dnsseeds are disabled by default in the build until an Ixcoin DNS seed formed.

How many Ixcoins will there be?

21 million Ixcoins, just like Bitcoin. But Ixcoin will reach full maturity ~18 years before Bitcoin.

Can I run both Ixcoin and Bitcoin at the same time?

Yes. Both clients can run side-by-side.

Are Bitcoin client clones compatible with Ixcoin?

Most Bitcoin client clones will need minor modifications to work with Ixcoin such as changing the operating port to 8337, altering the blockchain verification code if any and changing the address generation algorithm.

Can I use my Bitcoins as Ixcoins?

No. Bitcoins have the same relationship to Ixcoin as they have to any other currency (e.g. USD, GBP). You would need to exchange/convert them for valid Ixcoins first via an exchanger service.

Are my Bitcoin addresses compatible with Ixcoin?

No. Your Bitcoin addresses/keypairs will not be recognized by the Ixcoin blockchain, so although they might work they will not point to valid Bitcoins (and vice-versa).

You will need to either mine Ixcoins or use an exchanger to convert fiat currency or Bitcoins for Ixcoins.

How do I convert my Bitcoins to Ixcoins?

How do I mine Ixcoins?

As of October 2014 mining is complete but the blockchain can still send coins because of merged mining with bitcoin. However, from block 450,000 an hard fork (0.14.1) will allow the distribution to miners of all the premine.

The issue probably wouldn't have any impact on old wallets with large balances even if they had a few hundred thousand IXC because the price was so low in the past such amounts were easily accumulated by people who saw its potential with only a few hundred or thousands of dollars but if IXC suddenly went to the moon and peope were able to buy hundreds of thousands of coins at big prices that would certainly mean there could be KYC needed in the exchange or whatever but it would have been ridiculous to suggets fraudsters or money launderers would have even bothered with IXC in the past because it wouldn't have been any use for their shennagins so this in effect makes old wallets/addresses with large bags beyond any risk of being frozen or whatever because they are without any suspicion of shennagins due to the low price they were accumulatred at and if held for a long time without moving the funds about regularly making large trades or whatever.

The KYC or AML would really be directed at big bags bought at big prices but this is not the reality right now but I thing old wallets even if people have no records would have no issues because of the smal amount of money they bought at but they would be liable for capital gains tax or whatever if they decided to cash out of course.

No way to know circulating or Total supply.  Lots have been lost and stolen.  Either way compare doge with ixc, 130,000,000 supply vs probably 12-15 million.   Ixc can moon faster than any coin you’ve seen so far.  We just need demand, awareness, marketing...

Right now I’m spreading the word to the Romanian community in my Facebook and other platforms.  If one of coins blows up yeah, it’s gonna be a one man show.  I market buy with rage snd fury until my funds run out.  I’ll put ix at $5 trillion if I can.  Why?

Ten years shilling ixcoin without fail means you are persistent I'll give you that but no coin is going anywhere without a large community,large funding,large well established exchange with liquidity,active development on github and large social media presence.

In fact, a faucet only serves to spread the word, or at least it should be. IXC has valued it recently without any marketing or help and this is incredible. Are you the IXC dev? Will there be a new wallet? IXC will patiently receive the support and adoption it deserves. This coin cannot be underestimated.

Faucets failed.  I paid a high profile marketer, Jeffery Peterson, 370,000 of my own ixc. That was a very large sacrifice of my holdings but felt it was my job.  He bailed on us but I hope if ixc price goes up he’ll return go do the job he promised.  And that’s the best marketing crypto has ever seen.  I’ve talked to ray dilliger too but can’t get him until BTC completes its Self destruction.  That’s a big if so until then we do the best we can with what we got.

Someone asked why IXC has been climbing in value lately...

Part of it initially was probably the simple fact that in the Galactic Milieu (http://www.devtome.com/galactic_milieu) IXC is, like many other currencies in the Milieu, a treasury-based currency.

That means the Ixians have a "treasury" of other currencies and assets so that the Milieu can add up the total value of that "treasury" and divide the total by the number of IXCoins that have been minted, to calculate a "value per IXCoin".

A look at the Latest Rates include-file http://galaxies.mygamesonline.org/latestrates.inc (which by default is denominated in DeVCoins but is formatted for use in scripts to make it simple to re-compute all the values in terms of any of the assets shown or, in fact, in terms of any arbitrary value) is right now showing me IXCrate=557.34637854 meaning that based on the value of IXC's treasury and the number of IXCoins minted, and the value of DVC's treasury and the number of DVC minted, one IXCoin is worth 557.34637854 DeVCoins.

Obviously until someone implements a treasury for, for example, BiTCoin or LiTeCoin or Stellar Lumens or American Dollars or whatever other thing you'd like to compare to, we cannot compute values for those not-treasury-based items, so the figures shown for them are necessarily just current prices on exchanges, probably according to some site along the lines of CoinMarketCap, at the time the include-file was generated.

I see in that same interation of the Latest Rates include-file BTCrate=116691274.10194629 meaning that at the time the file was calculated one BiTCoin was supposedly worth 116691274.10194629 DeVCoins although of course that would tend to change moment to moment at the whims of spot markets such as "exchanges" since it is not based on a "treasury".

It is probably useful to bear in mind that "treasuries" are accompanied by one or more "slush funds" also, if only because we do not count a coin into its own treasury's value. Even if the IXCoin treasury contained any IXCoins, their value for the purpose of computing the total value of the treasury would be counted as zero. Thus the "slush fund", a separate account in which the Ixians can store any IXCoins they happen to own, along with any other "operating capital", "petty cash", assets that are deprecated for "treasury" use such as anything the treasury total value calculation does not take into account (things that are not considered to be "reserve currencies" or "reserve assets" for example) and so on and so on.

Just like my policy of only issuing tokens representing half of the coins I actually have, we are also working toward only having half of a nation, Corp etc's wealth go in its treasury; the goal is to build up the "slush funds" to total at least as much value as the "treasury", so that a nation, Corp or whatever that issues a treasury-based currency can buy back every coin it ever minted using just its slush funds, not touching its treasury to do so. That way when/if they ever do manage to buy back all the coins minted those coins will still have the same treasury-based value they had before they bought them all back.

What the heck for the people who are always says in someones's project that the project is the real Bitcoin, it's brings me pain in my ass, how could they say this? There is no other and Real BTC rather than Bitcoin, and there is no copy cat can claim that claim. Bitcoin is bitcoin.

Bitcoin btc is a burned out dog turd.  It’s being used to draw everyone from the real legit coins - creating a vacuum so people dump the coins of the future.  While Wall Street makes billions monthly off options to accumulate the real coins and soon to pump every coin so you won’t know which coins they’re actually interested in.  Your big chance to get rich if you sell on time cause it will all crash into a heap of ashes, out of which will rise the PhoenIX.  BTC at best will be a popcorn niche coin. 

Besides this being my thread, the riddle thread is about Ixcoin and this anything there, especially regarding an individual of poor character who I worked with should be shared it.  It is my fiduciary duty as dev and owner of both threads.
