Haha I believe by now, you already have your answer, Ethereum didn't even attempt 5k$ before this the red candles hit the market, but then, we don't loose hope, we all should probably see this as a major correction which in my opinion is long over due, am personally expecting bitcoin to hits below 30k$ or even below 25k$, also expecting Ethereum to hit below 1500$.
One this is done, as long as it's not a bear season but a major correction, we will fly again and this time, bitcoin is heading to 100k$ before the end of this year, and so are major altcoins seeing new highs again.. Fingers crossed.

I think that ETH will be able to reach the $ 6k mark, the only thing is that for now while the bitcoin is trending bearish it is very difficult, the bulls this time could not contain all the force of the bears, also they did not make much effort because BTC started to fall a lot due to the high FUD, now ETH after being a big winner has fallen more than BTC, about 21%:

If BTC begins to generate recovery, it is likely that ETH will also follow that same direction, it is just a matter of waiting to see how the market continues to develop.

The $6k level is almost on the horizon if btc has not dropped its value. But since we are in the bearish trend, almost all the other alts also follow. So the $6k may not be achieved today, but once the market is going up again, and so with other markets including ETH. The $6k level is achievable for ETH and now that the month of July is fast approaching, the scheduled month of EIP 1559 protocol for ETH is supposedly implemented, there's high chance that it will contribute to the recovery of its price in the market.

ETH made a good run in the past week, but yesterday (local time) it erased those good run and turned into a nightmare in some traders and holders this is very unfortunate not to reach that price level because it drops faster than expected. Anyway, we have to move on now and see this cheap market again as an opportunity, I'm looking for my buying power now and planning buy more ETH in the coming days, hope its not too late yet.

It is hard to see ETH can hit $6k this week as the ETH price drops too deep. But it could happen in the next month or the future because ETH still has the potential to increase higher and back to that price. Besides that, with bitcoin price drops too deep, ETH will stay at the current price or it can down for more. This correction makes many people sad as bitcoin is down and the altcoin follows down. But we should not give up and just wait without doing anything because we can buy any potential at a low price.

When the market is back to normal this is possible, right now everyone can see the market took a different turn this past days, if not for the unexpected bear market eth would probably be gearing towards 5k or so, but now things have slow down a bit, we can always be optimistic and wait for market recovery.

This year maybe but not for this week. Ethereum has already out performing btc, and if my prediction is correct. We are now entering the phase when bitcoin dominance will increase again. Its mean many altcoin will goes down and bitcoin stay or going up slowly. When bitcoin touch $80k or $100k ethereum may touch $6k.

The price of Ethereum is currently in decline when bitcoin makes a major correction. Even for other altcoins, the price becomes very low.
Actually Ethereum price can reach $6k but it will take some time, and it won't happen soon, it could happen in the next month.

What I like about this type of analysis is that tradingview allows using the same analyst chart having the "Volume Profile" which oscillates in 2417USD, this tells me that in this price range there are more negotiations .... Yes BTC gets a new ATH, ETH is likely to make a huge jump to $ 5k, this taking into account that ETH is always the fastest reacting currency after BTC bullish movements.

Even now, the market getting bullish after the bearish yesterday. We still need to be careful because there is no guarantee for us to have this bullish. We can use this time to wait or sell some amount and profit while we can also do something else and wait for the next rally. Without no second thought, it's quite obvious Ethereum is undervalued. With all the utilities it has and the usability of her blockchain, it should be trading above it current price. Without the recent market dump, there was nothing holding it back from reaching that milestone but since what we'll be experiencing now is market recovery, it'll take some time before we can achieve that.

Ethereum prior to the end of the year should be trading close or above the $10k price mark. Without the hugs sega around the fees that's slowing down development, all the attention should have been on ethereum and not shared with other blockchain like that of Binance that's benefiting from Ethereum high fees.

The market, in general, had already recovered, that's why we have witnessed ATH after ATH, but, this market does not go uptrend forever, correction does happen every time there's a bull run so we must be careful in making our decision, just don't follow the hype, always be cautious as whales can easily manipulate the market.

We see that planning in cryptocurrency, even for a short time, is almost impossible. The market was growing in price at a rapid pace, and in one day everything changed. So far, we are dreaming not of ethereum going up in price to $ 6,000, but of at least recovering this coin at its previous price, which was before this last drop.
However, in any case, we always have a good autumn season ahead of us for price growth in this market. After ethereum renewal stages in July and October, this coin should rise decently in value this year. I think that even $ 10,000 for it may not be the limit by the end of the year, given favorable market trends.

Never in my imagination to see Ethereum at $4k and when it did, some big players just dumped it without even thinking about the small players.
Now, that is proof it cannot hit another ATH. There are people backstage trying to make profits out of it without consideration and they will just keep on doing that.
If it goes $5k next time another big dump will just come and will just keep on happening.
10k will probably be reached in a few more years. Not now, not next year.

The market was able to recover from the major slump and there was a huge buy order in the market and the market was able to cross $42k at one stage but once again we are seeing a huge selling pressure which means some of the institutional investors are booking their profit whenever the market reaches a certain valuation, so this week is really interesting and want to see how long this correction will continue as the market already corrected over 6% today.

No one predicted that ethereum could experience a sharp decline following the movement of bitcoin because previously ethereum was quite strong when bitcoin had dropped and ethereum actually increased, it even had time to create ATH a few weeks earlier, but now that's not happening in ethereum anymore.

At first the price of bitcoin doubled but later the price of ethereum started to rise as bitcoin stabilized somewhat. It's clear that most altcoins are following the trend of Bitcoin and the chart shows that if Bitcoin is in bullish trend most altcoins will follow and so on. And due to recent tweets of Elon Musk, Bitcoin now is in decline but I don't think this will be the start of bear market since Bitcoin keep reaching the level of $40k despite of the recent drop from $30k.

Ethereum on the other hand, after reaching the $4k there's a sudden dump which it almost looks like some whales are pumping it then dumping once the desired price reached. Despite of the recent dump of Bitcoin, Ethereum itself is somehow moving and trying to break the $4k resistance and after it reaches a certain level it finally dump following the correction of Bitcoin.

If Bitcoin would attain a new ATH this year there might be a chance that Ethereum would eventually reach the $6k.

I think this is reasonable because Ethereum has reached a certain level where ATH has been passed so this is a true correction whether it will continue or it ends with a dump, right? $ 45k is likely this recovery could happen slowly.

You are saying the truth. If Bitcoin can not relaim its $64k all time high, Ethereum can not have chance to move up to $6,000.

I guess the promotional offer worked out for you. ETH didn't hit 6k$ but dropped sharply with BTC. Currently, it's struggling to even touch the 3k$ price as there is heavy resistance. If BTC stabilizes above 40000$ price then we may see ETH climb above 3k$ and move to its previous ATH.

Indeed, it’s totally depend on bitcoin's movement and eth might cross $3k price zone if btc continues the sideways movement between $39k to $42k. Not only this, ethereum might rebound to it’s ATH if bitcoin breaks the major resistance zone of $45k as it'll make sideways movement after breaking any major resistance which will help ethereum and other alts to pump more.

After what happened to bitcoin, ethereum seems to need to wait for more as the price does not break $3k this week. I think this price range of Bitcoins recently was a good place for Bitcoin sideways and make altcoin especially ETH rising.

Ethereum gives a very satisfying chart in various time frames. It gave a strong bounce from the key support of $1700 and continue moving upward. This hard bounce gives a trend reversal signal towards ATH. I opened my long position at $2000 and waiting to buy more if it came again back at $2000/$1700. My new target is above the Previous ATH or I can fix part of the profit near around the previous ATH.

Not possible soon for ETH price rising $6k because market already dropped. Almost btc price drop lot of and eth also to so we can't expect easly. However, everything that is possible in the crypto market is only for a hype. The core of bitcoin is incredible that there is no doubt about it because its price changed very quickly. Also in my opinion the price of bitcoin is associated with the price of eth.

The correction would always hurt the market if we have unrealistic expectations. It's hard to expect that the price will just continue to move uptrend because it's not the normal of crypto, the norm is it's very volatile, which means we will see a pump and dump scenario anytime. Investors will not worry if they do understand how the market behaves, they'll always find an opportunity, whether to buy or sell.

As a matter of fact, people will come and invest even though they know that the market is so volatile. They had found themselves the willingness to takes risks as the returns it huge (if possible). Yet, they never think about losing in the first place.
Market corrections mean a lot for the investors and they consider this as a great opportunity to buy and waiting for it to recover in order to make money. I don't think this issue is worth taking seriously. With ETH we have more news in the near future and I think next 7 will see a new growth until the end of the year. Recently we have also seen it fall significantly against ATH, and in my opinion this is a very opportune time to buy more ETH and hold it.

Yes,,, the Bitcoin will replace fiat idea is a nice one but this is where reality can be applied. I would say almost 100% of us into Bitcoin still live on fiat, and that's not a choice, just the way life is. As much as we can live with crypto, life requires fiat. Food, shelter, basic necessities,,, paying in crypto only is not just difficult, it is impossible. For now.

if we pull a line from peak price and then down to around $28900 maybe current bullish only correction or temporary recovery and possible to down and make new low. it is if we talk technically , but fundamentally everything strong now and on chain analisys also good number at non exchange wallet. The likelihood to hit $6k this month is still far. But based on my observation only. It can easily go up because this month as there is upcoming berlin hard fork in few days. So there may be positive happenings under ETH network. The long wait about the significant reduction of gas fee may be here. So let's see. Hitting 3-4k would be very nice though.

I like ETH as an investment short to medium term but there are others who are already ahead in regards to tech. 15 TPS, high gas fees, and lack of governance give me some concerns long term. 2.0 will likely increase speed slightly for relatively high gas fees and governance will continue to be an issue. The advantage ETH has is the massive devs community and the perceived high decentralization.

Well looking at the way the market is dancing around, it still a long journey for the market to cross the resistance zone of $63k for bitcoin. Bitcoin price affects all cryptocurrency growth, this why altcoins also react when the market looks unfavorable to Bitcoin being the number one cryptocurrency in the world. Ethereum have time to reach the $6k level which I don't think it will be this year looking at the way market is reacting to price of Bitcoin.

I think, ETH has a very fast short-term gain in bull market and is anchored when BTC breaks $41k region, but I don't think ETH will hit $6k this August, London hardfork at 4/8 is creating shock very strong for ETH but leaving the gas fee gap, sharding delayed until 2022 could put the market state into taking short profits on it. I believe that Major bullish market is Over. i think its impossible, eth will hit 6k but not in a week's time. Maybe the end of the year or when eth becomes eth 2.0. Currently the price of eth has just increased by 30% I think there must be a correction first to go higher.

I think 3k$ is easy for ethereum but if we say 6k$  I think that is high. Eth shows a significant growth on the past bullish season. Many investors didnt see it coming for eth to climb up that fast following the movement of bitcoin.

As one of the main pair in the major exchanges its not surprising to see eth reach $6k value if bullish market occur again. Though it might take time to happen but its really possible, thus holding eth is really a wise decision as an investor.

Yeah, that's $3k and we don't know how long we'll have to wait until that time comes but that is for sure that we'll be there once again and surpass its ATH.

The growth right now seems to be high in percentage against the growth of bitcoin. Already it has crossed $2700, which means $3000 isn't that away from the predicted price. As the London upgrade is gonna happen today there is assured growth to making it reach $3000.

We're still not sure what's going to result after the London upgrade but every time there's an upgrade, there's really an uprise for Ethereum's price.
But hopefully that this will continue even if the upgrade has already ended. And also, the fees will decrease overtime as the demand is starting to increase again.

well i am one of the waiting for this to happen as i added another set of ethereum recently when the price fells 1,700$ level.

Decentralization is not the basis on why the price would go up or down, it's what the traders or investors are doing based on the market situation, if there's a FUD like what is happening now, then the market will be affected as people will panic, and if there's good news, it will recover and the market will be bullish again. That's the basic cycle, it's easy to predict what would happen based on the news, the only crucial here is to predict the news.
