Right now in some of the countries Bitcoin is been banned or restricted, when I think of it I do not blame the government why Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies is been restricted because they do not know the value or importance of Bitcoin. Some government officials have never done any transactions, I mean to buy or invest to Bitcoin or to use Bitcoin as a means to acquire goods and services.

Bitcoin will be more effective in the future, because presently people who are more into cryptocurrency are the younger ones (18-50 years in age).
They know the value and importance of Bitcoin. Despite the ban of Bitcoin in some countries, some individuals mostly the younger ones still have access to Bitcoin. I believe will be more effective in the future.

It is only government to blame for banning bitcoin and other cryptos. Because it all depends on the mindset of the leadership. If you see examples of progressive countries like US or Japan, they are the first ones to adopt the usage of cryptos. Now take an example of regressive leadership like India or Bangladesh, they are seeing it as a threat! So it all depends on the mindset of the leadership on how they want to provide financial freedom to their citizens. It doesn't depend on whether the officials have used it or not! It doesn't have any impact on the policy decisions!

Adoption is on the move and  recognition is  getting more bigger as the years passing but it wont be an assurance that there would be a total overall scale of acceptance.Government does have different takings about bitcoins

We dont know on what future looks like or what are the thing that would happen along the way not only with Bitcoin itself  but also in other cryptocurrencies as well.

Governments aren't dumb. They ban Bitcoin because it is antithetical with their systems, where they are unable to control the capital of their citizens to any extent and being unable to print money at will. In more autocratic economies, they've shifted to currencies that are controlled tightly by the government, with digital yuan as an example. China used to had quite a huge capital outflow and it wasn't very beneficial for China.

Governments will almost never adopt Bitcoin, there is simply no reason to. Giving up a stranglehold on their fiat doesn't bode well for them at all. In the eyes of the government, whatever Bitcoin can do, fiat can do as well.

It's quite the opposite. Governments ban bitcoin because they know exactly its value and importance. Bitcoin is out of their control and everything the government can't control must be banned or destroyed. That is the mindset of people running the governments, because that is actually how they reached at their currently status position: destroying and isolating their adversaries in politics.

Bitcoin can be more effective in future or not. We must observe the imposed regulations and how they will work in practice to conclude if they are making bitcoin stronger or weaker. I just hope some countries don't try subverting bitcoin, so they can become bitcoin heavens for enthusiasts while the rest of the world can implode themselves.

It's very obvious that cryptocurrency generally is yielding positively in different societies even without been told the name crypto and especially bitcoin is moving viral, bitcoin is one of the best amongst the digital currencies if not that government is attacking a cryptocurrency industries it supposed to be more influential than the way it's, the challenges of bitcoin currently from my perspective is government of some countries that always arises of degradation of bitcoin in different dimensions, some countries today restrict the adoption of cryptocurrency, and some of them accept the uses of cryptocurrency, so with bad name some countries tagged to bitcoin will definitely slow down the effectiveness of bitcoin in future because right now many people are not relaxing or building trust on btc.

It doesn't mean that the government doesn't know the value or importance of Bitcoin for economic growth, it's just that they have a policy that enforces fiat money. Let's see if other countries have started adopting? some countries are still in the selfishness of banning, limiting blocking restrictions. Technically it's a policy where the bankers are behind their policies, income can't be controlled if it's mostly anti-Bitcoin.

While the opposition certainly hopes that the government should give a little more room and try to implement a simple adoption system first before evaluating what is the difference between Bitcoin and fiat money when a country is hit by inflation.

Remember what governments always say to Bitcoin about its threat to financial finance? that's all they do because they can't have control, I'm sure if they can control Bitcoin and the system is not decentralized it will be easier to accept. Just imagine the pros of fiat money against inflation and Bitcoin provides that solution.

Government really understood bitcoin, that with time it will dominant as the best currency in the world. Government don't have much power to control BTC price in the country like the way they control fiat money in the country.
Bitcoin will be more effective in the future with the following reasons:
1) it will reduce hardship in the country.
2) it will eliminate unemployment in the country.
3) many customers will prefer bitcoin than fiat money in the areas of investment.  

Like anything successful, with time & more adoption & use cases etc it will be more effective. The first block was mined in 2009 & we already have large institutions on board, millions of people & even a country using it as legal tender. It doesn’t take a genius to see where bitcoin is going.

But allowing Bitcoin to function without no panic, it will have more advantage to citizens, it will also be benefit to central bank if exchange..converting cryptocurrency to float , there will be charges for that

Those countries just don't like bitcoin for now but they will eventually accept it if they see that the first world countries are giving some nice words about it.

And as of the moment, they can restrict it as much as they want but its progress will never be stopped.

In a grown nation everything is connective, which means each and every purchase made is being recorded and the same generates them revenue out of it. With countries like India and Bangladesh they're not that effective with the financial infrastructure, because the policies and laws are developed in such a way to corrupt.

For now, there are many governments which are just aiming to restrict Bitcoin's usage field like you said. But I don't think that this will always go on like this. After some point, even the governments of the biggest countries will start leaning towards Bitcoin and they will do whatever they can for people to use it. Maybe not all people think the same way with me but I think it'll happen.

it takes a lot of policies in adopting bitcoin, bitcoin can't be controlled and bitcoin is out of their control and anything that can't be controlled by the government should be banned . because it will cause instability in the country

Those who had doubts in bitcoin, now started to develop their positive possessions in holding btc as their future asset. If I didn't failed during 2017, then holding those coins that spent on dead investment will be worthy for profit now.

currently bitcoin is only a profitable investment tool and bitcoin is only a speculative asset. Not really used as a transaction tool as it should be. Due to high price fluctuations, bitcoin becomes a high-risk investment asset, but if you can take advantage of it, you will benefit from each fluctuation.

Currently, people from all walks of life and all ages have started to know bitcoin and have started to enter to invest. Some countries have legalized bitcoin. In the future bitcoin will be the most valuable digital asset because the amount is very limited.

Of course, it may be more effective in the future.

And so far, the regulation about cryptocurrency in each country is always changing and developing.
Many more countries are accepting crypto and make it legal.

Government banned bitcoin because of not some officials has never done any bitcoin transaction. Government banned it because they think that bitcoin is a threat to them, i.e. capital flight, being used by criminals, etc.


It's good that the X and Y and Z generation are into bitcoin, but doesn't matter what age bracket bitcoin is being used. Eventually everyone will see the advantages and the potential of bitcoin.

the government has not been able to control and control the movement of bitcoin which is so strong, therefore I see the government is worried about inflation of the local currency. so from that I think the government is trying to limit the use of bitcoin as a transaction tool.

I think the reason why some countries didn't care about bitcoin is because they are rich country, poor country which don't have many mining sites and other earth resources are very depend on other thing like technology creation and market. For example is South Korea, I think this country can be good environment for cryptocurrency users as it is a developed country which has good infrastructures, this country depend on export business  which mean they have to always give so much effort to compete in the world trade, in my opinion if they fully adopt bitcoin as payment method then it will ease them to improve the economy of their country. So I think in this case age is not a matter, the important thing is how good their government can make good plan for this. But I still agree with you that bitcoin will be more effective in the future because, many bitcoin users in my country are mostly young people, even some are still at highschool. This is one of my reason to hold bitcoin because it has good potential in the future.

There is no doubt that this has indeed happened and will continue into the future. The government is not stupid. What can we consider. The government is more transparent than we thought, and more transparent than our understanding. For example, China suppresses virtual currencies. Also the excuses that most of the governments who are scared to engage in cryptocurrency that I know is that, they are having a problem regulating it in their country.

Hoping that governments like India and Bangladesh will spend their time studying why bitcoin and other cryptocurrency matters in the economy and in the society.

Not all of us are given an opportunity to invest and benefit cryptocurrencies in them market and economy.

Actually, if the government introduced bitcoin earlier, then I think the community will benefit and in the end the country will also benefit, considering the potential that exists in bitcoin will certainly make the people prosperous. but indeed there are many factors that the government has considered so that it has not been able to legalize it, but we hope that soon there will be a bright spot

The future bitcoin outlook is the subject of much debate. Harvard University Professor of Economics and Public Policy Kenneth Rogoff assumne that crypto advocates are predicting  the market capitalization of cryptocurrencies could explode over the next five years and that would be raise in $5-10 trillion. Definitely the future crypto market will be increased. If any government ban  crypto it will have nothing to do with crypto. Crypto will run at its own way. it may have a bad impact on the market temporarily, but it will be fixed again. We all know about indian government already ban crypto but the people of this country not stopped they use it more then before.

I think bitcoin's effectivity is already good enough so I don't see how it's going to be any more effective in the future, unless there's other applications to bitcoin that will spring up in the future, I believe that we are already maxed out on that already.

Bitcoin is designed for long time using , and this is the answer to the economic failure of many countries , and also the answer against corruption but of course government will not support that idea as they are preventing this to be accepted.

I think you will be amazed if you knew how many government employees might be invested in Crypto currencies. It is not to say, if the ruling party or the government appose Crypto currencies.. that a government employee in his private capacity are not invested as an individual. (Remember... a lot of these government employees did not vote for that ruling party or they simply differ with the ruling parties view on the matter)

The younger generation might be more progressive and they quickly adapt to new technology, but they skip from one technology to the next... so Bitcoin might be the latest "cool" trend for now.... but it might be replaced with a new "cool" token in the future.  ::)

IMO, it is not because the Government that is banning Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies in their country don't understand what Bitcoin is and how it works or know the value of it, it is because they do and they understand that this is financial freedom for the people and that they can no longer have that full control of their financial system if the freely allow cryptocurrencies to flourish the way it is going, that is why some of them are having this ban on crypto.

This depends on whether the government prohibits bitcoin.

You can't say the government in some countries banned bitcoin because they don't know the importance. It's the fear of losing out on the control of it's Citizens financial transactions as well as the fear of increase in cyber crime due to the anonymous nature of bitcoin. But I hope that since Bitcoin is secure and transparent it will be accepted in the near future even if not completely but it will be able to solve some critical societal issues.

People are aware of the benefits that Bitcoin brings, and their acceptance and recognition are getting higher and higher. More countries are now accepting and legalizing cryptocurrencies.

I strongly believe in Bitcoin and its future potential. I think that it will definitely be more widely-used in the future. Because it is much more convenient to run transactions via blockchains than bank systems. I can say that no banks will not allow transaction value of several millions dollars without a big pile of documents, also this transfer will be too long and expensive.

IF they are already aware of the importance of Bitcoin for us, they never have to ignore this thing but instead, they will give support. Unfortunately, it was not the thing we've been experienced, in fact, some countries continue banning cryptocurrency. I'd never think they are blind and not able to see this but of some personal interest brings these leaders not to offer their support.

It will surely be effective, even now I guess most of young generations prefer cashless transaction using e-money or digital wallet, at least in my country, that's the case. Especially there are a lot of e-money giving lots of promotion and such in my country, so people rarely use cash since they want discount and such. Although bitcoin doesn't give discount or something, but bitcoin surely is valuable and worth high, so i know that if bitcoin is becoming more common, more merchants accept bitcoin, there might be a lot of people going to use bitcoin later on. Even now, i never bring any cash anymore and only use e-money or digital wallet, although not bitcoin since it's not accepted in my country. But once it's accepted, i might use it as well.

Judging from the current cryptocurrency users, some of them are still easily ranging from (18-50 years old). This shows that millennials are more open to bitcoin, this does not rule out the possibility that in the future crypto will continue to experience a pump and you can take advantage of this a little. When in the future the current millennial generation will turn old and feel what their parents often do.

For sure, the innovations that will be made in the future will surely make the use of bitcoin more effective than it ever was. The Government also reject Bitcoin because they basically can't control it. Even without the Government legalizing it, Cryptocurrency is still growing globally. I certainly think in some aspects that you are right, that many government officials really dont have a clue about bitcoin or how it works. However the truth is that these countries don't want people using bitcoin because they can't control it.  I think it's really as simple as that. I think over the course of time that these laws will change.

Bitcoin does have indefinite value because it is not controlled by any single authority. It is giving the people the power to become their own bank and use bitcoin across the globe as a payment method and hold it simultaneously as a store of value. Inflation is something that couldnt really be stopped out but doesnt mean that people would really be making full switch up but at least on cryptos existence we could really be having an option whenever things turns out to be bad looking.It does indeed have that indefinite value because it would really be always varying or depending on overall demand and good thing that its decentralized nor being controlled by someone.

Well, you can be true. As many young people are joining crypto right now, in the future they will improve the adoption of Bitcoin in all countries in the world. Of course, the young generation knows more about Bitcoin because they are easy to accept a new innovation. They have the intention to learn deeply about Bitcoin, and they want to try to use it. I wish they could look into that point and not just focus on how to control crypto and impose taxes for all the holders. We can't hide the fact that this is all about money and it was too hard to legalize by the government if they couldn't get any from them like tax and others.

It's a government that has always been a barrier to Bitcoin becomes legalized and recognized in every country.  We know that the government has been always combating fraud and illegal activities inside and out in a country and cryptocurrencies are prone to use by those fraudsters.  Possible also government thinks that Bitcoin is a threat to the financial economy system or in the banking system which they don't allow it or else the reason why they are trying to control it.

Yes you are so right but you missing one point - bitcoin will be less effective in the future and other currencies will be way more effective . you can't make older people to understand this technology some of them can't even use computer of phone , you are right about that . But do you believe you gonna make a bitcoin transaction 10-20 years later ? I really dont think so and we are very close to this happening.

The government are smart enough and also greedy at same time, they see bitcoin as a threat to their system, we have all known governments for always looking for a way to be superior Over it's citizens, bitcoin doesn't give them that chance, bitcoin gives individuals the power of getting full access, privacy and control to their asset, and the government doesn't want that to happen, they will always prefer the fiat currency they can always control and be able to monitor it's citizens assets through the help of the banks.

Op, you're trying to justify restrictions by ignorance, but I don't think it's fair. These people are getting paid to learn about innovations like Bitcoin, to research existing risks and benefits, and they're getting paid with taxpayers' money. Making uninformed decisions is unacceptable. Hopefully, though, you're right that younger generations will be more open to cryptos and this will lead to authorities actually doing their jobs and researching the topic before imposing restrictions. That being said, as more people will become interested in Bitcoin, the scalability issue will become more urgent, so Bitcoin might not become more effective.

It's not getting effective, the market's just getting bigger and more people are just getting in so it creates an illusion that the effectivity is getting bigger and bigger even though it's just the same. Bitcoin is already very effective so I don't think that it's gonna go beyond that.

The government is very much aware about Bitcoin's potential. They know its nature which is decentralized and volatile, hence they do everything in their power to destroy it because it holds too much power they cant control. The supply of bitcoin in circulation, the price of bitcoin, and its decentralized nature are great factors they consider. They can't take over the aforementioned factors so instead of accepting it, they make it illegal. Unless of course, they see benefits on accepting it in their country such as taxing the users.

You have a point, some of the people who are in power in a lot of countries are the ones who are still using old methods and do not believe in change, the world has completely changed and yet they are still using the same old methods that have been used for years, and most of them are making decisions and passing laws to protect their own investments and personal interest, and passing a law to make bitcoin legal will be against those, and that is why we need the new generation and some legit people who have a true vision to the future to take their place.

That's correct. Bitcoin has already proved it's worth over the last few years. Despite the hardest dumps it has shown that it could recover from the lowest point.
Even in the current pandemic when all other assets were dumping bitcoin was the one soaring high and breaking the records.

Bitcoin is currently not 15 years old, or exactly 12 years since its emergence in 2009, And maybe what you say is true. Currently, only a few people know Bitcoin, or it can be said that the younger generation knows Bitcoin.

Regardless of the people's ages, bitcoin is already effective when it comes to investing and trading. But since bitcoin will be more effective as a currency, then all ages of people should be more aware and inclined to it.

For now, we cannot expect this to happen as only few countries have been adopting it its still less effective. Some country’s opinion is Bitcoin is illegal, this is a Virtual currency, nobody can touch it, also nobody can tracking their transaction and for this reason people will abuse it in many anti-social activities. We have seen bitcoin adoption continues to grow and probably since El Salvador started it all, then most likely other neighboring countries will follow its path.
