The top coins always reflect the solutions they are pursuing for the field, solutions that appear because of usage problems as well as new trends. When I look at their value, I think it's based on the ecosystem in which they operate and whether they have advantages or disadvantages.

Even one year ahead, its position can also change. But maybe ETH and BNB will still be in the top ten coins in the next six years as long as ETH and BNB can still maintain their performance. Many coins in the market can shift the current position of coins because the crypto market is full of surprises that even we would not expect. Yes, diversification is a great way to increase the number of our portfolio but choosing which coins we should have it's not easy.

You can take a look at what i have suggested above. Diversification is giving you more chance to earn from tokens rather than peg with the top coins that have less room to growth. It's the best thing to be done by anyone. That's why so many crypto holders have various assets in their wallet coz they know that if it can give them maximum return once all of them turn to the bullish pattern. I can't wait for five years. :) But if I had to hold on for five years; I would definitely buy coins like Ethereum, BNB, SOL and AVAX. you can see an ancient altcoins like ethereum and similar are having really good growth for the long term, a long time has passed and instead they are just gaining more and more fame, considering the trend of NFT is also raising their fame and popularity i’m sure these smart contract based altcoins are the best for investment. Smartcontract coins will be very suitable to be used as long term investment as majority of smartcontract coins have long term vision and it will be good if you wanna hodl it for next 5 years from now. I think those 3 are going to continue it's run in the future. Of course as we enter a bear market, the price might hit a snag, just like what happen back in 2018. Based on my experience following ethereum whose project lasted for more than five years, at least the project continues to develop their platform. To analyze a project that can last more than five years, we can't use charts or other techniques because we really depend on the fundamentals of the project. You can look at CMC for yourself and start compiling the list. But if it's about staying in price, I don't think that there is an altcoin that won't experience a sharp decline if the price of bitcoin drops drastically.
But I think you can choose the coins in the top 100 list because the coins have a chance to rise again later. Ethereum BNB, XRP, Luna, SOL, Cardano, AVAX, DOT and others may remain in the market, but maintaining their current position will not be easy as other coins will be scrambling to try to replace them. I don't think there's any way to know for sure that the project can last up to 5 years. just like ethereum, they are initially the same as the projects we encountered when they were initially launched, they use public sales, promotions, and also complete important documents. It's just that the coins that we have seen so far have lasted for more than 5 years, they are really consistent in developing their projects seriously so that they get a lot of support from the community. If for the next 5 years the altcoins that might give us the ideal profit are Ethereum, BNB, Solana, Matic, and Avax. The simple reason is to have its own network where it can be developed to overcome the transaction density which will later provide an offer for investors or buyers to use it in the future. Coin like ethereum would be the top pick, binance coin, litecoin, tron, Solana and other good metaverse projects. Five years is a long time from now and in this space there are no certainties. Metaverse tokens and coins are new kind and we are not sure if it will last a long time. We have other trends before like ICO but ICO didn't last a few years, that's what I'm worrying. Binance coin is related to binance exchange but we are also not sure if this exchange is still going to be strong in the next five years or so, because there are now lots of exchanges that are competing with each other.I am afraid that if binance will collapse its coins bsc and binance coin are also going to crash too but if there is one altcoin I'm sure of that will last on the given year, that will only be Ethereum because if we check the date of this coin, it's already over five years or more since this coin existed so I am sure it will go for another five years or more. Well, the most important thing i can think of is the use case meaning do people actually use the token for its utility, or is that just hype. The more utility the token has, the more likely it's going to last for years because people get used to things, and it's hard to change people when they're used to this one coin. I'm looking at the top gaming studio tokens and a few low market cap ones like: $ENGN for their ability to implement blockchain onto projects without having to rewrite the whole base code plus their own marketplace, new video game around the corner, and lots of more stuff. $LFI is also one that redefines what gambling projects are. The OP just said it that he knows many things about btc and he didn't questioned it anymore so by there we can assume that he already have his btc investments. He is looking to diversify his funds which is why he seeks for altcoins or tokens suggestions.Maybe he will choose altcoins as a second investment and for his coins, he will stick to the top 10 existing coin list because it can be more profitable in the future. But being a wise investor, he is also thinking of having a third investment where he will select from the top 11 coin list to the top 100-200 coin list and only pick around 5 to 10 coins. We cannot be sure about the top 10 coins because he aims for a 5 to 6 year long of holding and with that time, there can be a change on how the top 10 coins look where some of these coins are going to be replaced by a new comer. TBH, its hard to know what altcoins will be the best to invest in that time span because many can change on that 5 years.You might see Altcoin X at the top 10 and after a year or two, it will be below top 100 already. On the other hand, you can see an altcoin out of nowhere that will be in the top 10 or top 5. Maybe the altcoins that I will suggest to hold on a 5 year span is ETH, LTC, BNB, LINK, XRP. They are at the top already in terms of market cap for quite some time though some of them went down but some went up. Since its inception, Bitcoin has targeted the global market, including through peer-to-peer, used for digital cash and others. Bitcoin is a decentralized crypto currency, it is not controlled by anyone and the price will be the same everywhere. This is the reason why I do not trust most other coins, this is why most of my coin investments are in bitcoin and I will probably increase the amount I have in bitcoin more than the others for the upcoming future. Having a fund is indeed one of the main things that we should consider because I notice that so many people ask for suggestions like if which coin are good to invest but in the end they haven't invested anything because they still don't have a money in their wallets. There are varieties of top coins in the market that you can purchase. KCS is one stable coin on Kucoin exchange that always fluctuates. Its current price is $17 and there's every hope that the coin will definitely pump, it's just a matter of time. Secondly BNB and BGB have a good road map and they will hits their ATH( All Time High) sooner than later. The best thing to do now, is to bagged as much of these top coins as possible, then wait for it to enter a bullish position, then set your TA( take Profits), you are good to go in the space.

If you like to take risks, then you should invest in coins with a small capitalization and growth big potential.
