I am not btc rich. I buy btc to buy collectibles. I spent somewhere around $800 (also believe this auction was a steal - and seller originally paid much more) for that set which is now practically worthless. Putting a BTC figure on this based solely on what is swept is less than 1/3 of what was actually lost - conservative estimate as this same release sold for near $1200 to Yoda. Literally impossible to be made whole and I’d prefer Yogg’s damage is not diminished by being valued by what he stole. What he really did is so much worse - especially to you Cygan and to the forum members that have supported him for years. Such quality work - all destroyed Edit: I actually thought this was a post of gathering information - not of Cygan fixing part of it. Kind of unreal to get anything back and gives me a newfound respect for Cygan Title: Re: [INFO] Scammed/Peeled by Coldkey Post by: owlcatz on January 13, 2023, 04:11:39 PM Not to be a downer, but even if by some miracle my swept funds (.0125 btc) were returned to me, that is a merely a small % of what was actually stolen. I feel guilt for even helping him resurrect this project now even, but how could I have known? :-[ Anyhow, to get anything back at all in cases like this is the best you can possibly hope for/get... Most times, scam victims never get a dime back, this is better than nothing, but I feel your pain. I lost about 20k overnight all told... Poof... ??? Sorry again all, and thanks to the guys wanting to help make things right, you are truly the best - Kialara, Frank @ Alpen, Claycast, and others I may have missed, thank you and I am sorry this space feels like it will never be the same again. :'( So many burns on so many levels. Not how I planned on starting a new year at all. :( Edit - Cygan, Thank you, but I won't be asking for a refund for my silvers, you took a huge hit too here, and I'm not going to make it worse for you brother. As tweetious mentioned this is such a fucked situation as I don’t know if cygan is refunding from bits paid to him from his work at coldkey or his personal bits or what’s going on. I’m thankful to recover this small portion. I’m out about ~1BTC in premiums paid for all my cards as I had 74 coldkeys in total. It’s been a devastating 48 hours. This accident is not your fault but it is marked in history of BTC related collectible products and companies, not only Coldkey. In addition, even you refund victims, the values for their items are no longer as same as before the accident. Imagine, the value of BTC stolen in each item is small but maybe previous value of the item was higher than BTC stolen by yogg (?) Maybe Bitcoin developers must think of it, because collectible items are one of Bitcoin use cases. They should develop something to make it safer. Anyone has idea, can join the discussion Change co-signers for Bitcoin multisig wallets, can it be developed? (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5434685.0). I think if we can come to a solution that is possibly to develop, it would be good for Bitcoin generally and Collectible industry in particular. Title: Re: [INFO] Scammed/Peeled by Coldkey Post by: El duderino_ on January 14, 2023, 11:16:00 AM Indeed there is damage in its belief… now people will always think with items like coldkey that funds can be stolen and what if ?? When pockets are not deep enough and a good person can’t refund all stolen funds, then the hart may be as good as it want but if one can not refund….
There is just a damage left here which will not go away Pity but also good for people to know… Understand people will think what if when a company sells more as 10-100x the volume of the coldkeys which where sold as now…. Then people will be much more afraid the creator might steal again bc the value is life changing… Title: Re: [INFO] Scammed/Peeled by Coldkey Post by: Kryptowerk on January 14, 2023, 01:45:28 PM I've just sent in my official picture proof. I'll gladly take the hit if the money doesn't come from Yogg's pockets. I think it is quite generous to offer refunds to those affected. Not sure if just paying out of Cygans own pocket is the right approach though - a little torn on this but didn't feel right for me to take that money. He offered to also refund the unfunded coldkey I had (it should have been funded but I never noticed since two days ago). So kudos to that! The main focus should be on trying to bring Yogg to return funds or get him to create a plan to make at least stolen AND unfunded card funds whole. Wouldn't the first step would be to talk/visit/dunno him and get a full picture of what he still has access to? Finding out which funds are truely LOST IN GAMBLING or maybe still sitting in some wallets to be returned to those that are the actual rightful owners of them? That's what I think of when I hear of the position of (former) CEO. A tedious and maybe hopeless task, but it should be tried at least. Just my 50 sats. It's a difficult topic for sure. Yogg isn’t going to make this right unless forced to do so by law enforcement, courts, asset seizure etc. Mopar mentioned in another thread that Yogg swiped someone’s copper halving set after he had been confronted & stated all other keys were safe. He’s a liar, thief & total shitbag. And the likelihood he has all private keys copied is very high. I don’t believe this stops with the raffle funds & halving sets. Title: Re: [INFO] Scammed/Peeled by Coldkey Post by: Hookzup1 on January 18, 2023, 04:55:14 PM I think smoothies auction idea to recoup affected user funds was a genius generous idea. As I see it accepting from cygan is kinda like an honest way of doing what yogg did and taking funds from an innocent victim. Unless cygan was getting the unpeeled cards in return as proof they were victims and couldn't pass on the cards to others in the future I guess would make this make a little more sense

Kudos to you buddy for doing the refunds and I really respect what you did. As a CEO of coldkey, I am curious as to what made you prioritize the refund for the swept funds from Halving keys over the other impacted people related to coldkey issues. From all the threads related to coldkey in past week, I have gathered these 4 major issues that people have encountered: 1. Sweeping of Halving Coldkeys. 2. Past orders that were paid for but never delivered(As per Yogg's messages they were ready to be shipped the next day but that day never came). 3. People paid for funding their coldkeys but they were never funded. 4. Personal loans to Yogg. (This definitely should not concern you as a CEO since it was personal unless someone can proof that they loaned Yogg some money towards the development of Coldkey). #2 and #3 are much older issues than #1 and I am not sure if you were aware of either of them. Disclaimer: I am not impacted by either of the issues above except for loaning some BTC to Yogg. Had couple of small pending orders which doesn't concern me now since majority of the funds were in premiums and not in the actual coldkeys thay have all been swept now. I just want to reiterate that this is in no way against you but rather to bring up the issue of prioritizing the impacted people that will also come up after Smoothie's auction of how these funds will be distributed to the impacted parties by this whole Yogg's debacle. Title: Re: [INFO] Scammed/Peeled by Coldkey Post by: cygan on January 18, 2023, 07:02:38 PM ✂ I am curious as to what made you prioritize the refund for the swept funds from Halving keys over the other impacted people related to coldkey issues. ✂ as i have already written, it was entirely my decision alone. it has nothing to do with prioritization only i can't come up completely alone on the big and miserable mistakes of yogg. yogg was the founder and also had his shares at ck... and he should pay the other liabilities! Title: Re: [INFO] Scammed/Peeled by Coldkey Post by: Hookzup1 on January 18, 2023, 07:30:19 PM I was personally impacted by all 4 of the issues agrawas mentioned but I would never accept a single sat from cygan, however I would give him 100% of my merit, if I had to give, for his generosity in this case. And to be clear I fully understand the reasoning behind why cygan is offering his own personal crypto to those affected, what I don't understand is why members would accept it.
Title: Re: [INFO] Scammed/Peeled by Coldkey Post by: MoparMiningLLC on January 19, 2023, 01:53:05 AM I think some may see it as Cygan was CEO - as with any company, those in charge accept responsibility for those under them. That also means the one at the top is then responsible to make sure the ones who are guilty are held accountable - yogg in this case.
Title: Re: [INFO] Scammed/Peeled by Coldkey Post by: DaveF on January 20, 2023, 02:31:32 PM I was personally impacted by all 4 of the issues agrawas mentioned but I would never accept a single sat from cygan, however I would give him 100% of my merit, if I had to give, for his generosity in this case. And to be clear I fully understand the reasoning behind why cygan is offering his own personal crypto to those affected, what I don't understand is why members would accept it. Because they might need it? If part of your needed income was buying / selling / trading collectables and all of a sudden a lot of it's value was wiped out it might be causing a bit of difficulty. It's not just the amount of the BTC on the card, it is also the amount that was paid as a premium because it was a collectable. They are not getting the extra back, so getting something back could make a difference. AND, with FTX along with all the other things that happened in the last few months even people who would not normally need it, may need it now. And so on. Or, and this is a respectable answer too, because he offered. Some people may not have gone out and asked for the BTC, but since he offered they will take it. Fine line, but I can see some people thinking that way. Just to be open, I took a hit but I have been doing this long enough and knew the risks of getting funded things from people so in my mind it is what it is. Not asking for anything back and just taking my lumps and moving on. But, as I said I can see other people acting differently. -Dave Title: Re: [INFO] Scammed/Peeled by Coldkey Post by: TheBeardedBaby on January 22, 2023, 09:17:53 PM My case is a bit different, so I don't know if it fits here but I'll post my story.
After my kid was born I made a giveaway of my CM sig earning to celebrate it. Then yogg sent me a PM with a suggestion in a way to thank me, he was supposed to issue a special crypto bond (unique) for the kid, locked for 18 years for free, except that I had to fund it and cover the shipping. I agreed to that suggestion and sent him some 50eur in btc together with extra 20eur to cover the shipping expenses. That was in the beginning of 2019. Since then I never got the bond, I knew he was going through some rough times and I didn't want to push him about it, since the bond wasn't on my urgent stuff list. I sent a PM to yogg and cygan to ask who's gonna take care of case after the stepping down of yogg. But yogg never showed up... Title: Re: [INFO] Scammed/Peeled by Coldkey Post by: MoparMiningLLC on January 22, 2023, 10:49:59 PM Yea sounds like you are in line with the rest of us who never got our cards - iirc the 20 card set was 650 - the 2 cards were paid by krogoth and the 3 other cards were supposed to be Q3 2021 cards as a “thank you” for loaning him .05 BTC
I questioned many times why there were more and more cards being sold while people were claiming they never got theirs - I was told all issues had been resolved… guess not. Has there been any discussion so far on how the funds would be distributed? Also, I don't have an overview but from the OP it seems 46 swept halving coldkeys were refunded by cygan. The remaining are probably either declined refunds or from owners that didn't show up in the forum yet. Wouldn't it make sense to refund - remaining swept cards for anyone that declined refunding from cygan - unfunded ck cards - open orders from the auction coming up? Ofc it needs a txid or clear evidence for payment / ownership of these cards. Any loans given to yogg could possibly be compensated if there are funds left after refunding (which doubt) but I think these are private contracts between yogg and the person giving the loan, making it a seperate issue from the ck exit-scam in way. I'm rather busy other users have replied to you in between. :) Anyway, I much appreciated your comments and your questions. Thank you ! Also, if you want to purchase a Coldkey, you can find them in the shop on our website : https://www.coldkey.eu/shop/ Right now, available, there is the February and March History Coldkey. This serie is loaded with the equivalent of 50€ worth of BTC at the rate of the 1st day of each month. They're limited to 64 for February as well as 64 for March. This serie requires some BTC as for funding. The february one will be available until the 12th of March, and the March one until the 5th of April most likely. Our first release (Genesis Edition) is also available. It's limited to 250 and is available until it sells out. I also think you were super kind to share your ChipMixer sig campaign reward with us all, and I'd like to make something special for you to thank you. :) Please keep it for yourself, but I would like to create one of the first Cryptobonds for you, a special one, that is locked for 18 years. This is intended as a gift for your newborn child. I'll let you decide about the BTC loading amount, but keep in mind that I can't tell how BTC will run in 18 years. Please let me know what you think :) I wish you a great monday, Kind regards from Paris, yogg Title: Re: [INFO] Scammed/Peeled by Coldkey Post by: TheBeardedBaby on January 26, 2023, 10:38:42 AM JFI, I made a thread in the Reputation (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5436855.0), to sum up the total loss, like krogoth made here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5434597.msg61588502#msg61588502) and added some reference links. On February 26, 2017, at roughly 1:30 to 2:30 am, our company experienced a breach of a limited number of our coins. The coins in question had their BTC removed and we are in the process of determining how this could have happened. We are in contact with the FBI and we expect a full investigation to begin shortly, to which we will offer our total cooperation and effort to bring the perpetrator(s) to light. Please contact us at raforsyth@alitin.com if you believe your coin may have been compromised, and we will do our best to work with you individually to resolve the issue to your satisfaction. Our current policy includes the refunding of the face value of BTC of your coin with all verified purchases where a breach has occurred. We cannot guarantee how long this will take, but we wish to provide satisfaction to everyone as quickly as possible. You patience is very much appreciated and we hope to bring this matter to a very swift and satisfactory conclusion. Thank you! The Alitin Team UPDATE: We have begun the process of verifying persons whose coins have been compromised and the first BTC refunds have been issued. We will process your application for refund carefully and as fast as we can, and in order of receipt. We will do our best with our available funds to reimburse everyone who we can determine to be a verified victim of the breach and theft of February 26, 2017, and we will offer this refund until April 5, 2017. After this date, and due to the price volatility of Bitcoin, we simply cannot be sure we will have the funds necessary to refund stolen BTC. We will need a photo of your unbroken case to show it has not been previously opened, and we urge you to not sell or open your coin casing before we can process your request. I am in the same boat aswell, lost a lot of premium aswell. I just meant that you should also list that a certain part (loading value) has already been refunded. Unfortunately, we have all lost the fat premiums. :-\ Sad but true....I think these will go back up in time as people will look at these as part of the history and risk taken by us in the collectable world of ours.... I know I bought the Alitin scam coins and paid dearly to get the Joan of Arc one which rarely ever comes up on the market. Hello, What's the Alitin scam coins and Joan of Arc please ? Merci, et Jeanne d'Arc ? have a nice day/evening :) You can read it here if you like as well.... https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3315347.0 ALITIN COINS https://i.imgur.com/0eH0l5E.png (https://i.imgur.com/0eH0l5E.png) This is as per their website…. We do have a certified customer database, and this will certainly help in the verification process if you are an original purchaser of your coin(s). My copper halvings are not rugged too, but he has stolen the funds from my golden and silver Coldkeys... Title: Re: [INFO] Scammed/Peeled by Coldkey Post by: guigui371 on June 28, 2023, 11:18:23 AM Alright, so this my claim :
I claim that I own the following Cold key : https://www.talkimg.com/images/2023/06/28/SJ0gb.png I have with me the card that say HOME, I've emptied them on 13th Jan 2023 once i was made aware of yogg activities. (keep in mind that at this point, i hadn't connected or visited BBT in like over 1 year). My claim is supported by : 1) a google spreadsheet created 17 mars 2022 The day i loaded all my card at the same time : [img width = 600 ]https://www.talkimg.com/images/2023/06/28/SJxuv.png[/img] I have removed my name, but just to show that I created a list of my card in march 2022, long before any YOGG suspicious activities. 2) a blockchain transaction loading all the cards i claim to own at the same time, on the day i created my spreadsheet. Code: https://blockchair.com/bitcoin/transaction/66cc4f379e9a72c8953b37811e618a90194a3eba8b3bc4326a0eb9a8e7a810cd 3) I have with me the 4 cards from my list https://www.talkimg.com/images/2023/06/28/SVuj5.jpeg 4) i can actually sign a message from the adress that funded my card and the one emptied by Yogg. (screenshot from electrum first) https://www.talkimg.com/images/2023/06/28/SVSvc.png Code: Guigui371 owns this adress https://www.talkimg.com/images/2023/06/28/SVZiP.png So, no i don't have access to the card that yogg emptied, they are located 24h by plane from my current location and the cost to retrieve is about $6000 usd Plus about 4 days of my life ( 1 day in plane each way, one day to collect, and one day to recover from jet lag). I was assured by Cygan that only the halving set were affected on January 14th 2023 [img with = 400]https://www.talkimg.com/images/2023/06/28/SVCuq.jpeg[/img] (not that it matters too much, because even if he said that all cards were affected, it was and still not possible for me to go and retrieve the cards) The reason why the cards were left behind after i moved was for them to become available when my children turn 18 (now 1 and 2) during a trip back to the country they were born (but not grew up). It is only on 19th of June that i realised that yogg emptied more cards on april 23rd and that I contacted Cygan again. Anyway, this is the end of my message, I may not have been the one impacted the most, but the 0.01 x 2 + 0.05 and 0.1 BTC lost (total is 0.17 BTC = USD $5,134) as well as one copper set (not on the list, and nothing to prove ownership) are of sentimental value to me as they would have been kept for 18 years. So now, i'm asking to be considered for a full or partial refund based on the information shared above. So sad and sorry to hear about ur loss but I guess that you will not get refunded. cygan started to pay out of his own pockets when things got started. At that time it was said that only the halving sets were affected and cygan then decided to refund them although he was not to blame for the matter. That the whole thing then assumed such proportions was not necessarily clear. So u can't blame cygan after it was already a significant amount that he paid for. That was very commendable, especially when u consider that he also took a big hit himself. I'm really sorry for u but maybe you can still prove ownership of the halving cards. I've only been back for a short time and saw that all my cards (and there were quite a few) were cleared by yogg too. If I am right its not 100% decided how to use the funds from the pool. Unfortunately, there are many victims of him.. cygan joined (or even bought into) Coldkey towards the end of 2022 A really, really gross move by yogg... >:( cygan paid a big amount of BTC only to be attacked a short time later. This just goes to show what a disgusting and unlikable person Patrick (yogg) is. I would strongly say that cygan was unaware of all the dealings and yogg had "good" uses for a new CEO in his plan. So cygan got dragged into it unnecessarily. But all of yogg's intentions are guesswork, he didn't have balls to make a statement. In reality, he lied to the people who have always been loyal to him. What we do know is that all our funds on the coldkeys are gone.. ::) Title: Re: [INFO] Scammed/Peeled by Coldkey Post by: guigui371 on June 28, 2023, 12:19:44 PM I started a thread in Investigation to get the ball rolling on suing Yogg in France by a french victim.

I had approx .75 BTC invested into coldkey via cards bought, loads, prepayment for cards never delivered and for a loan made directly to coldkey. While there is a refund pool, it is not enough to barely pay half of what I lost and I am, by far, not the biggest loser. That said, I do not expect to ever see a full recovery of what I lost. I would like to see a refund for the loan and for the cards never delivered though. |
