I believe will saw the new shift of many altcoins price that made the green light to remain stable in some days to make some altcoins hodlers to make a new decision to apply for potential altcoins that will make their profits surplus when the real bull run show up in the market soon. I guess Ethereum and Binance are very good in long hodling because, since I became regular in the crypto market, I discovered that this two altcoins carry huge population to stand in second and third position in the market that is giving me hope that they are good in long term hodling and, it will be difficult for their customers to experience negative results like what other customers are experiencing from new altcoins in the market. Do you think this two altcoins are good in long hodling in this season? Because I have seen some reason that made me to apply for long term in this little shift of the price of altcoins which the bull run will show up fully next week.

Those two are some of the best altcoins we have on the market, so it makes sense that people like you would like to hold them for the long term, however you still need to be careful with those coins as they could still disappear incredibly quickly under the wrong circumstances, and one example of this is the FTX exchange which seemed to be very strong and suddenly it collapsed and it brought the whole market down, including its native token, and while unlikely it is not impossible this could happen to the binance exchange, and anyone holding its tokens for the long term could lose all the capital they invested in those coins.

Majority of the altcoin that are on the top 50 of the coinmarketcap are good for long hold.  Most of them are in the market for many years.  Aside from that, any new promising project are also good for long hold.  If we can find a good project with huge potential, it can possibly give us a life-changing profit if we happen to be one of the pioneer of that promising project.

That said, I think Tron is still good for long hodling together with EOS and possibly CRO.  ADA should also be included on the list IMO.  The developer of these projects are keep on working together with their marketing team to promote and increase the number of their market supporters.

Top coins will deliver and yes they will recover as well and will pump along the bull trend.
There’s no doubt about ETH and BNB, you should also not forget to look for other coins in the top that is more cheaper and have a high chance as well to pump. I’m actually looking for XRP and LTC to be the game changer with the altcoins, they made a good progress already and in the upcoming bull trend, they will rise as well.

IMO, (Polygon)

It's really wort to be hold, as you know more and more project/game are moving from other ecosystem like (ETH/BSC) to Polygon. As you know, the transition chain we all know
- BTC to ETH
- ETH to BSC
- Now ? BSC to Polygon

I think (Polygon) are gonna to get a good movement for the next few yers.

They've always been good holds for the long term if you're going to check the market history of these two coins. Granted it might differ in the future, but they're most likely the more solid options compared to the rest of the coins out there. There are other good altcoins out there as well, albeit a bit less influential I guess if I were to pick a word for it. I'm mostly looking at MATIC, LTC, and maybe XRP as well for a bit of a short term or so. Anyway, I reckon any of the top 10 is a solid pick, just don't expect much profit immediately though.

If it's just for altcoins, BNB and Ethereum are good to hold. And that is because of their historical gains every bull run that's coming.

You have mentioned Binance, it's the exchange and not the coin. The coin of Binance is BNB and that's where people are investing.

I am of the same opinion with Polygon and it is because that's also the other chain that is mostly being used these days. The support that it has got is also increasing and I also use it for transactions because it's cheaper and like any other quick transfers, it's quick as well. I think with all of these connections that each project has been doing like to have another support from different chain, that's making each of them known in the market and also helps to ease the fees although they're not truly expensive at all.

ethereum is the answer, even though there's rumour about the dumping of ethereum by ftx since there has been found some related address with ftx holding some amount of ethereum doesn't mean it will just outright make ethereum never pump, its not some significant amount either for ethereum seeing the ethereum trading volume.
right now many alts are already pumping but not ethereum, it could be opportunity since its not really pumping that much and its really far from all time high.
definitely has best chance of recovering compared to the other, not to mention that this coin is the most reliable altcoin out there.
though if you are looking for something that gives faster returns, it might not be the right choice.

Aside from the almighty Bitcoin, I can say that only Ethereum so far is the best altcoin to hold this season and in many years to come.

I do not know about BNB, XRP, ADA, LINK and the other fellow top-tier altcoins in the market. In my own instinct, these altcoins other than ETH are just good for either short or mid-term results.

Why I only root for Ethereum for the long term? It is because they are currently the best in terms of building Dapps on top of their market capitalization, trading volume and usage of the ecosystem despite that their gas fees aren't that cheap even if they have transitioned from Proof-of-Work (PoW) to Proof-of-Stake (PoS).

They are now impossible to be overtaken because of their usage despite that we acknowledge about XRP briefly overtaken them years ago not just once but twice or thrice. As of this moment, Ethereum is already solid at the #2 spot next to Bitcoin.

Take a look at the coin market cap. at least we can see some data that might be useful. Although it's not absolute. However, when it comes to altcoins for the long term, Ethereum will definitely be in first place. because however, when we look at the fundamentals, and of course the market cap, this is no longer in doubt compared to other altcoins. So in my opinion, ETH is the first altcoin that you should own to prepare for long term holding later.

Next up is BNB. I think this coin from the Binance exchange is also quite promising for future bullish preparations. apart from the market cap, perhaps you could say that BNB is still quite affordable if we want to buy some.

actually, I also thought about another altcoin, namely Matic. However, I personally am still testing for long term holding until the next bullish era. So, maybe this will be a little more risky. because after all, this coin is quite interesting and has quite a high market cap, even though compared to several altcoins above it, Matic is still number 13. But this should have quite good potential to rise in the future.

ETH and BNB are two of the largest names in the altcoin market but I don't think BNB is equally safe with ETH. ETH is much better and safer than BNB. BNB is like FTX in one way or another because it is highly dependent on its platform. It is Binance's native coin. Although it has since grown widely, it still cannot detach itself completely from Binance the exchange. Whatever happens to that exchange, the price of BNB will definitely be affected. Binance is facing investigations and legal cases. If the exchange crushed, BNB will immediately follow.

One of the best altcoins available out there is definitely BNB because it has the capability of keeping its platform always updated and continuously developing it to keep up with its competitors as a matter of fact, they are still one of the top exchanges despite its beep with the SEC due to some legal matters but overall, they are not getting affected by it and once they clear it out, surely BNB will increase its price again just like before and in this bitcoin halving season, it will be best to consider buying some of it before the price will become expensive again.

if you are looking for long term altcoin to hold you need no season but you will check the quality of the project
and if this will last long , there are lots of new coins that have build their name short time and then die also short
time because of Intentional BS of developers and teams. if you are seeking for good currency to keep on better 
to look at least in top 20 currency in market as those has a big potential of staying and safer while you wait for

BNB and ETH are the 2 big cryptocurrencies. Both have solid networks and communities. These two altcoins are worthy of being used as alternatives to Bitcoin in my opinion. There may be some other candidates besides BNB and ETH such as LTC, ETC, LINK, SOL. Currently, XRP is actually on my target list, but the SEC is still pursuing XRP, which makes this drama too long and can hold back the increase in the value of XRP in the future.

I believe everyone knows the potential of these two known altcoins in the market. They are on the top among others which means that it was not just the price and profit potential but also their role in the crypto space. I know some coins can beat them when it comes to profit gain but if we talk about og having a sustainable profit and less risks, none from other altcoins could beat them.

ETH and BNB had already gained trust and people could never think about losing their money when investing in them as they were confident enough that these two coins would grow.

Binance is losing more markets and there are many local competitors. It is true that Binance is the best international exchange, but it faces fierce competition in some local regions, which makes it suitable for countries that do not have clear regulatory restrictions, but over time it will lose even its status as the leader of international exchange.
Ethereum is good and you can consider investing in some altcoins as a short-term investment.

Seems Ethereum and BNB is the majority choice here.
For me, they are good choices too but, I am more convinced by Ethereum right now.
BNB is also good especially if you are looking forward to high ROI because let's say if Ethereum and BNB go back to their all-time high,  you will get more profits in BNB.

I agreed. Among the top coins these two are the contenders on altcoins that are kinda safe. Also using ethereum, there are chances to got some airdrop using defi products and protocols. While on bnb they got some launchpad and launchpool on superb projects that are being launch on the exchange.

+1 on this one. Ethereum platform is home to tons of Eth based tokens and NFT's and it is also on the top next to Bitcoin. BNB on the other hand has it's best trading platform with it's smartchain technology it also has the cheapest fee on it's platform. So I think this two really is good for long term hodling.

Do Matic have that best potential mate? some of my friends are into Matic as how they are talking in telegram but I want to hear from prominent account and now that you mentioned here then i want to address you directly to give us some good advise and Idea.
I already have these 2 coins since early this year , if those are going to climb like what you said then thank you , if not then its ok because price will surely increase in time.

I think that any alts from top list of cmc is still a good choice. They will not make 10x but at least they have point behind them

I am sure eth will have a good future and this coin should be bought for investment. But the exchange coin can be devalued at any time because the exchange can be hacked, closed, anything can happen to the exchange. Low commissions are not the main indicator for choosing a project for investment.

I don't have confidence yet with Polygon but it was on my list. But for now, my interest is still in the leading altcoins ETH and BNB. However, it was to know that the market often changes from time to time. Might have seen Polygon's potential in the coming days but can be possible that there is another project showing a skyrocket moment as well.

I won't say until forever I'm investing ETH, but of course, it can be changed depending on the situation. While the halving and bull season was coming, it was safe to choose those coins that had already been performing well - that was our assurance.

That's the big challenge for Binance to stay on top because the competition is rising, and the pressure against Binance is also present.
ETH on the other hand still the top altcoins and still deliver most of the good projects to date. BNB and ETH will still be a big top altcoins and you should include this on your option. If you want to see other projects, look for ADA and LTC you might see some interesting facts about those projects too.

Ethereum will not be listed as top two best crypto in the market for nothing if we talk about future growth for sure there's more changes will come to ETH in future if we talk about wider crypto adoption. So there will be no question for ETH regarding on this situation since automatically ETH is one of the best coin exist in the market.

I'm thinking about BNB but for the past years its like they are losing strength but still they have huge potential even since they operate the biggest crypto exchange in the world and might they can gather more fame especially when there's positive things will happen in legal side and crypto will be announce as legal currency by first world countries.

Good decision. Just recently Ethereum also went up by $300 and I think it will easily be pulled by Bitcoin whenever it goes up. Binance coin is a no-brainer, the demand for that coin is continuous as it is used in different kinds of projects especially those NFT and games all over the cryptocurrency industry. Of course, it doesn't stop there, the main purpose of BNB is the cheaper way to trade so many traders using Binance are also buying it. And then there's the gambling part, many gamblers also pick BNB as their main coin for betting and it's because of the cheaper way of getting in and out, deposits, and withdrawals.

I still don't give much priority to hold altcoin for long term instead bitcoin is much more better because most altcoin are dependant of bitcoin meaning if bitcoin doesn't shift then most altcoin won't make any move as well. But for short time I will still recommend you hold altcoin for quicker profits especially those that are profits oriented it will be more better to witness good profit, and altcoin is like they don't stay long enough during the bull run so buy altcoin and after the bull run then sell off and get ready for the bear market to fill up your bags again.

The right and good choice, because ETH and BNB are the best coins after Bitcoin and both are the most dominant altcoins and are also very safe to invest in because they always follow Bitcoin's movements.
Do both for the long term to earn good profits, ETH and BNB besides Bitcoin are one of the most frequently chosen alternatives by old investors as well as most people here because of their track record and experience. So your choice is very right, and if you want to add other altcoins I think LTC is also good for the long term.

BTC is my favorite coin I have addicted for long hodling, but I feel like adding two altcoins to long hodling that made me to carry out research to discovered that those two altcoins are among the top altcoins in the market that can help me to achieve my target in the future.  You know that any hodling that is above 6 months is a long hodling, but I feel like hodling altcoins like 2 years before I can sell to make a good profits which I believe ETH and BNB can help me to earn such profits before the end of the 2 years.


Am not hodling the ETH and BNB for few months because, I know their future will be brighter like BTC, and I want to earn something big from those two altcoins that will improve my capital and income in the future.

Why polygon though? Abritrum is L2 directly connected to Ethereum, it doesn't need any other token then eth to work. Adding a side chain with their own token like matic is too confusing for adoption imho.
I am not saying ARB token would be a better investment, as the voting could end up being a double edged sword. People will vote value before utility. Needless burnings and airdrops. But the tech just way easier to use then trying to make newbs understand what they are even doing with the sidechain.

I also hold these two Altcoins and indeed ERT and BNB could be a long-term altcoin solution.
But it does not rule out the possibility that altcoins in the CMC top 10 could also provide better profits in the long term.
This all depends on how the project provides good development in the long term. ETH is the king of altcoins that must be held long term. When Bitcoin is bullish ETH will also be bullish.

It seems to me that the era of bnb will soon be over, or rather the coin will continue to work, but will not have much value. Binance does have problems that will only get worse as time goes on. This exchange has been around for a long time as it is.

If they manage to survive with those issues that they've got from the legal side and if there are more development that the team will be offering, it's still one of those good coin to hold if you have decent amount of money to spare with this investment, it's just needed to work with your research and make a good understanding with how you place your money in whatever coin/project that you will going to invest in.

I am not entirely sure if it's good or not, but I do like BNB during this period. I get that some people may not feel the same way and they think that this whole USA thing could make them do a lot worse and the fact that Paxos stopped working with them and they are losing BUSD and all of this could result with the situation being a little different. But I disagree, I think their biggest power is their exchange, and not the American version, I mean the real one with .com ending, and that is still going very strong.

I think the whole globe minus USA would still be great for them and they could make more money. That is just how rich Binance could be, we are also talking about BNB, and considering the bull run is coming and the price is going up, I think new tokens will come out and with ETH having 2.0 tested for the first time ever, I think it's going to be quite easy to see how BNB would be the preferred one and BSC will be used a lot more and price could go up.

BNB has now developed into something else. Before it was just a simple native coin of Binance the exchange but then Binance has started copying a lot of innovations and they even offered their own smart contracts for developers to start their own crypto project on the Binance network. They also offered their own platform to launch these projects. But all these other functions are much less significant compared to BNB being the coin of Binance exchange. So I don't expect that it would grow totally independent of it. And yes attacks on the exchange mean attack on the coin.

There is still enough time for you to join in the trend. It seems like that bitcoin has not yet taken off. There may also another pump to come soon. We are being closer to the halving time of bitcoin.

Many people are doing preparation by accumulating altcoins. Look at how high altcoin gone after bitcoin was surpassing 30k. This can be a signal for you to get some altcoins for your long term hodl. Thik about that. The same chance will not come for twice.
Never try to FOMO. Just try to stick into the some top coins like STX or another top 100 CMC. This will give you a lot of profit.

This is a big claim. I would like to inquire as to the particular altcoins that you are holding. You said that you are already up 80% from your initial investment just a few months ago. How many months is a few months? At 80%, it has almost doubled its value. That's a big growth.

Congratulations for picking the right ones, but I have doubts. I would like to know which altcoins you are referring to because I myself have a few altcoins and rather than increasing 80% in value they have decreased.

If you are referring to Stacks (STX), it has actually gone down.

I as well will not recommend altcoin in terms of long term hodling. Except from the top altcoins, I don't have much trust on some the altcoins in the market since there could be a lot of circumstances for your asset to be lost, a lot more than holding bitcoin. It's either you'll get your guard down and lost it from scammers or the exchange or the platform got compromised.
I'd be more comfortable with bitcoin than any other alts in the market. I'll give an exemption with ETH though.

As an investor we aren't meant to store funds in exchange or being much thrilled with any platform that will consumed our fund which we invested, as a good and experience investor we should be smarter enough to detects any fowl play within any platform. The most important thing is to get a safe custodial wallet were you can entrust your funds without having any fear to lost your asset, that is why I am more comfortable with bitcoin investment rather than altcoin but in most cases there are some other altcoin like ETH, LTC, BNB and Matic.

What am I trying to show you? Just because you met them at that price doesn't mean they are not at loss for some people and from there current market cap, to attain back the previous all time high, there is much more money to be mint from stablecoins to move that price.

Another factor that will determine the growth of the two coins you mentioned is that two image, they are going to face a lot of hardship in going back there because many holders are waiting for the price to pump. Where will they get another 215B dollars to move the prices, not to talk of bnb as well.

My little advice, as you plan to hold to hold for long term, stick with that in mind but having much assumption of saying they will not loss is overconfidence coming from you, you never can tell what will happen tomorrow. Buy, secured them in a personal wallet and hold for long term and be optimistic while holding.

Ethereum is the king of altcoins, meanwhile Binance is the coin of the best exchange in the world. Sure, these altcoins are good for the long term investment, they have very clear fundamentals and very potential to keep growing in the future. Moreover, because of their popularity, there are many investors that are already involved in these altcoins. So, they have big market caps and supported by strong communities. These matters are enough to be the reasons of trusting them for a long run.

However, it is not impossible that we can have negative results if we don't have strong mentality to hold them. Whenever there is a big FUD attacking them, it can leads us to do panic selling. When someone sells their coins in panic, he/she may sell for a loss. So, we must avoid to sell any coin in panic. Selling at panic can ruin the dreams of gaining good profits in the future.

its just matter of having target, of course is someone isn't having target they get swayed pretty easily by the current market sentiment therefore also get swayed by the panic and then make really bad and unwise decision of outrightly selling the investment that they supposed to hold for long.
its also why buying at the right price when you are going to invest is such important thing, it reduces the chance of your loss and also give you peace of mind that you are buying at the very bottom and whatever market direction the coin gonna have, it won't be worse, even if it still fell down, it won't fell down much.

If ETH and BNB should be placed in the long list because its fluctuations depend mainly on the main trend from bitcoin, unlike altcoins that exaggerate the trends that do not create much value and are only pump/dump short term.
But risk or profit should also be planned from the beginning to avoid stress during investment. It seems that recently the bitcoin movement has brought a more exciting atmosphere, I also see many people talking about it memecoin before that but I personally can only spend time researching the top ones at the current stage to be able to speculate on what might happen. But anyway, when it comes to longterm investing, the goal is to wait until the profit makes you feel satisfied and exit if you want.

Altcoins are generally short term projects because quite a lot of them are nothing but pump and dump. Ethereum has been in the market for a long time and despite the fact that there's been a lot of bad decisions from the developers/founder, especially in the decision to move from POW to POS and make Ethereum a whole lot centralized, it might still be the only altcoin that is worth hodling. Mind you that you shouldn't hodl too many altcoins, especially for the long term (if not you'll become a bagholder), sell your alts when you have made ROI on them, and even if they are dumping, sell them to cut your losses.

Right now the market is facing a possible flight to the moon, so it's worth saving up for an investment, so try taking part in a Fairspin tournament, play their games or bet on TFS - it's a great chance to win some extra money.

Honestly, when talking about long-term holding for altcoins, these two coins, namely ethereum and BNB, are indeed the most popular choices or for me they are the top altcoins that I must have. Of course, after Bitcoin, because Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency that must be owned for both short and long term investments in crypto.

 If we look at the market cap itself, both eth and bnb also have quite good market caps and we don't need to do any more trading volume. However, we also have to remain alert to all the issues that often hit altoins. So no matter how much we love altcoins, I think we should still not be all in on it.

If you will look at their past performance, both of them have been on the top ever since especially Ethereum, and that increases the trust towards the investors. Well, we know that every investment has risk, but I believe that the higher the market cap is, the lower the risk.

Both Binance, and Ethereum are good long term coins... or only Ethereum. Some might disagree with it, and will tell that BNB is also a good long term coin to hold since it's the most popular CEX currently. I know that, but I'm not a fan of holding exchange coins. Ethereum on the other hand has always been, and will always be a good long term coin to hold, and add also the fact that you can still earn rewards by holding it thru staking.

Overall, both are good coins to hold IMO, but I'll choose Ethereum over BNB if I will be asked. Just make sure as well that you will sell all or most of your holdings during the bull run. Don't fall in love with them. :D

At least to me those are the only two altcoins that are worth to hold for the long term, I know there are many users here that prefer to hold coins like XRP, solana, cardano or TRON, and even if I think they are worth to trade and profits can be generated this way, the distance between those coins and ethereum and BNB is simply to wide, however I will not deny that I am particularly risk averse and I prefer to only hold bitcoin as this is the safest choice in this market.

All altcoins are in a huge decline but it doesn't mean that they are not worth holding. Many of them still have a profit potential and one of them is ETH. But we could just think that holding them for many years will give us huge profits because they are not, unlike Bitcoin. Earning a profit from these altcoins still lies on the market condition. We just hold them if necessary but sell them if needed as well. Investing and holding in altcoins should be timing, a reason why we should know how to analyze the market situation before buying is because once we fail to do that, the results seem to be really disappointing.

There are many alts present in the market. But it really becomes difficult to choose one for long term investment. So yes we need to narrow down some factors to find the ideal coin for ourselves. We have to choose the coin with large marketcaps and trading volume, this will ensure the popularity of the coin. Now we have to also choose a coin which has some value and not considered as memecoin. Hence If I had to invest, I will go for ETH, BNB and LTC. These coins are already popular and will surely give me some good profits in the long run.

If we talk about future prospects, it is better not to invest in altcoins at all. Only bitcoin has shown growth throughout history. There are probably no other coins besides eth that are constantly growing. You need to be able to guess the market cycle, where is the bottom and where is the top, at least not accurately. Then it will be enough to have a profit on altcoins.

I think BNB is very suitable for long-term investment with its deflationary nature. It's the flagship of the Binance exchange. It is a coin that will definitely be in my long term altcoin basket. However, its centralized structure and being an exchange coin creates uneasiness. FTX is a bad example.
Ethereum is a must have coin for long term investment. Most importantly, the fact that it is the largest cryptocurrency after Bitcoin may be one of the reasons to invest strongly in Ethereum. Another is Ethereum's dominance in various cryptocurrency use cases. Well, investing seems to be different when we just talk about holding. Because Altcoins are still investing in short-term deals but if we talk about holding for many years, I could agree that Bitcoin seems to be a fit for that particular goal. I couldn't say that choosing altcoins is a bad idea but what went wrong is buying useless coins like meme coins and hyped projects. Profit really matters in choosing the right coins but of course, we have to stop assuming that we can earn 1000x from them.

Yes, you are right about not thinking that cryptocurrency is easy to make money. Even if someone was able to make a big profit, greed has robbed many of that profit. You should always be able to take your money and wait, even if it takes a few years.

while you want to hold an altcoin for long term, it best be earning while stored in a wallet. there are several things you might wanna consider before picking one.
you best buy while its price is cheap like in the bear market and the project has long-term plans and has a solid trusted team as well.

one that i could suggest is the Cardano because you can stake them, you can earn ADA every week i think if you are going to stake the tokens. and by the bull market, you can easily unstake them and sell them for profit.

Most altcoins are not ideal for long term holding and one altcoin that performed really well in the last bull run usually doesn't do well in the next one. As an example look at SOL coin performance in the last bull run it was astonishing. If SOL even touches its last ATH then its market cap will be more than 100 billion, which is not reasonable to think about a project like Solana. It already shows how vulnerable the network is. Other major altcoins have their problems.

So if you are looking for altcoins to invest in for the next season then I suggest you pick a new project that has strong fundamentals and support. Look for projects that weren't on the trend in the last bull run. The meme project was trending in the last bull run so there is a nominal chance it will be again. Aligned with your opinion as I have made similar post earlier and we look at last two bullrun we have not seen any Altcoin achieving ATH both the time and it would be a wrong bet to go with Altcoin which has propped in the previous bullrun and rather go for emerging altcoins which has the potential and the project prospect which is need of the hour.

I would rather hodl bitcoin because bitcoin is the first coin to go bonkers during bullrun and then altcoins starts pumping and we need to utilise the spur o moment because it's not advisable to hodl as it may take ages to recover the investment if the market dumps and I have experienced this numerous times at the initial days of my investments. But we can gamble by investing into Altcoin when it hits rock bottom and wait for months or even a year or two to multiply value of our investment.

All the altcoins were created to solve one or multiple specific problems. That problem became irrelevent or something more attractive came to the industry that investors ignored the previous one. That's why altcoin projects that don't have any innovation and are still holding on to their old principals and goals fade away slowly. A new project emerges that offers better approaches to those problems and even offers other features and tech on top of it. 

Bitcoin's motto was to create a decentralized monetary system that is still relevant which keeps bitcoin one of the best performing crypto assets. Other projects tried to offer better service than bitcoin but they didn't get much community support, and those networks weren't as decentralized as bitcoin. The market is open to different projects and if us to invest in a particular altcoin project, we need to make plans for ourselves and calculate how much we intend to spend on a certain intervals. There are some altcoins we don't even have to hold for a long time since they are prone to crash when there is no enough momentum and liquidity to keep them on frequent trend.

I personally think the reason for this panic selling is base on the poor mentality and inability to hold but I won't blame anyone who actually sell off their coins because apart from Ethereum which am very confident with , all other altcoins is just a matter of skeptism because one moment that are flying high in the sky and the next crashing down just like the candle sticks when trading synthetics. I wouldn't recommend holding altcoins for such a long period of time either, since most the altcoins will eventually die down after several months while the chances of it pumping up again purely depends on how the team behind that project will develop their coin making it attractive again in the eyes of the investors.
We have seen a lot of shitcoins going down eventually, that should be enough of an indicator to not rely on altcoins for a long term holding. Maybe a top 10 altcoin can be an exemption.

I think the short term nature of altcoin is only when the altcoin is having low market cap and trading volume it could be delisted anytime.

so far, my holding of ethereum has been quite fruitful, it has given quite the profit, but of course not as much as investing in some new altcoin which also have the risk, but at least with ethereum, there's no risk of suddenly delisted.

Like putting that on a stake? That's a good idea when you have nothing to do with that altcoin and that wallet of yours is supporting the staking of that token. Yes, you earn while waiting for your coin to get some bump for its price. But make sure the wallet where you'll stake gives you the full control.

I am not in support of your comment, new projects should be observed carefully before making a huge sum of investment into them, as we don't know the result or the behavior the coin will exhibit after a while. In my own opinion I would say new coins are not to be used for long term holding and mind the amount you invest in it, as sudden disappointment are not always handle with the right state of mind, so please avoid Anything that might lead to depression after your trusted system disappoints you.
Another thing to also consider before diving into new altcoins holding is that most times these coins are very volatile, so decision to make a long term holding should also be centered on the behavior of the coin and especially when it makes any new good developments.

I can testify that both Etheruem and BNB are very good long-term tokens, for the time I held them, they may have been slow but they were steady. Those coins you mention are the current leaders of the market especially ethereum where there are many strong projects under it like layer 2 projects that are definitely getting some attention lately and I believe has the strongest potential in having a trend next bull market. Investing in Binance Coin (BNB) is pretty high-risk right now. Because the SEC filed a case against BNB. We don't know what the upcoming result is; hence, I don't feel it's good to invest right now. But Ethereum has the potential to grow. There is still no issue regarding Ethereum lately, so it's less risky for long-term holding. I am one of the ETH holders, and I have been out of the BNB for some time. I will monitor the market before taking entry on BNB. Likely a small amount I can risk on BNB. I will prefer those coins that were born during the bear but have potential and would be great for investment. In this case, ARB, one of the popular coins, has potential. It might give a good return during the bull run. Because it was newly born during the bear market and hasn't met with any bull markets yet.

I like both of em, and in fact they're two of my top holdings (ETH 1st, BNB 3rd). honestly quite often some alts are increasing on their own, it doesn't necessarily need to be so fixated on bitcoin, remember arbitrum, it increased when bitcoin was still bearish and there are many more even meme coin in general aren't really dependent on bitcoin price trend.

I align with what you and OP have analysed, because it is important to have other reliable crypro coins besides bitcoin, so investors can have options to grow their investments in the crypto market. These two altcoins in discussion, being , ethereum and binance, are the altcoins that i can put my money on, because just like bitcoin, they have proven their worth in the crypto market. I'm very weary of other altcoins in the market, especially the new ones, which value can suddenly turn wortless, or worse disappear totally. Also we might not know scam projects in altcoins, so for me it's better to stick to the ones that i know to have proven their track records.

Everybody is expecting the coming bitcoin bull run to rub off on altcoins too, so yes if any investor wants to expand their investments by buying into the reliable altcoins that are mentioned above then I think that they're good to go. Its price dynamics are primarily driven by its inherent strength specially its robust use case. On the other hand, BNB's is heavily dependent on the support from Binance exchange.

Ethereum is too far to compare with other altcoins, not just because of its long existence in the market but also because of its popularity and use case. Yes, BNB seems to be dependent on Binance exchange but it was not just a factor why people can't ignore this project and see its potential, BNB community support is big enough to influence the market and make this project rally. Ethereum and BNB are both different projects and one is supreme over the other. ETH consists of a an Ethereum blockchain and have been into existence in the past decades. BNB is the native coin of Binance and they don't stand chance of weigh up trading volume with Ethereum. BNB existence is originated from Changpeng Zhao who's the CEO of binance and have done a good job pumping the coin and making it a prominent project in the system.

It's people's responsibility to be careful with the coins and projects they choose to invest in so that they don't lose money and it's the mindset they have that costs them money in the first place. If a user enters the market with the mindset of getting rich overnight, they will surely make reckless decisions and invest in projects and coins that they think have high-profit potential without thinking about the safety and security of their funds which is the most important thing.

So, someone shouldn't enter the market thinking that they will make small investments and earn a lot of money in a very short period, but they should learn and observe everything before they start so that they can take careful and calculated steps and earn profit over time which is much better than losing money.

OP is asking for recommendation mate so lets just comply , why telling Him to not list the altcoins  or prospective altcoins?
maybe lets help each other to have some ideas so we can gather enough profit once we picked the better one.
any contender will add value to our targeting as we are hunting one before the bull run happens , I know some will disagree but we should let out pocket be filled with some other coins aside from what we are having now in our folio.

What? they are good because they are rivals? that doesn't make sense at all since other alts could be declared as rival but it doesn't mean they would also pump. But if you mention its use case and accumulators then provably they are good with that since BNB and ETH have a lot of supporters that can help it gain huge momentum. The technology and demand contribute a huge part of success of this coin and I think they have those important thing and that give them more higher chance to pump.

Both is popular because ETH is well used blockchain by many devs and this could help a lot for ETH to grow. While BNB have a good exchanges backed it up that's why both of this coin have huge chance to pump. Also we should look for another options since there are better coins listed at the top which is really good to hold.

I noticed something positive that made me to invest again in those potential altcoins because, they are in a good position to make their customers celebrate before the end of this year which will be possible base on what is happening in the crypto market. But Ethereum gas fees is still high compared to BNB which is the reason some investors will still like to put more money on BNB than Ethereum despite the position Ethereum stand in the exchange market but it can still give a good results that will make their investors to remain in Ethereum investment.

According to some researchers, this two altcoins will satisfy their customers because what is coming before the end of this year will make Ethereum and binance customers to achieve something good from their investment.

   Maybe if you want safe altcoins in the long term, the top 30 listed on Coingecko and coinmarketcap should be your choice to hold or buy. Maybe the others you are looking for are not on the platform I mentioned.

Ethereum and Binance are very trusted alt coins.  Undoubtedly they are the best among the alt coins.  You can invest in them but still be careful because Luna and FTX were also very strong coins but they crashed.  Which caused many people to lose their capital.  I won't say with certainty that Ethereum and Binance might be the same, but even then it's better to be careful.

Yes Ethereum and BNB are both potential alt coins for long term investment.But apart from these, there are several other potential alt coins in the cryptocurrency market which are the lite coin Solana.They are suitable for long term investment if one has the mindset to invest for long term then they will definitely get good profits if they invest in these coins.

We all know that Bitcoin halving is just a few days away and then cryptocurrency market will start bullrun and prices of various alt coins will skyrocket. The price of BNB Ethereum Litecoin Solana Coins will also increase when Bullran season starts in the market.

Among the things you can't do at the moment, I can say BTC because there's no such lovable token in the market right now because I don't trust it.  However, if you use Ada Coin for several reasons.  If you want to be hot for many days then you must do BTC because foreign market is currently down and future price will go higher.  But I think that if you don't have the general idea, you don't come up short. If you have the general idea, there's a lot of new growth that's happening that you can buy into.  Your profits may increase in your future.

Looking at future events I think Ethereum and BNB should be invested for the long term, I am also long term invested in both coins. Also investing in LTC, SOL, MATIC, ADA coins will be a good decision to wait till bull season.

As far as hodling is concerned to gain profit I think bitcoin is the coin for anyone to consider for hodling. The reason I prefer bitcoin to hodl is that it is reliable to hodl, their is peace of mind in investing bitcoin.
