Title: How do you handle your lost time in gambling. Post by: Yablee0 on November 16, 2025, 07:10:45 AM Have be seeing many folks going wild at their lost times striving and trying all they can just to get back what they have already lost regardless the consequences, however in recent time chasing of lost has been a major problem to many gamblers yet we keep on having higher case of it.
This has bring me with the questions : how do you handle your lost when gambling? do you just take a pause knowing that is not your day of celebration or you just keep pushing harder and doubling your stakes maybe you just might be lucky hitting it big at once. So what do you think? Title: Re: How do you handle your lost time in gambling. Post by: JoyMarsha on November 16, 2025, 08:08:25 AM Taking a pause from gambling has been the best response I take each time I am on a losing streak in gambling. At least that action has saved me from having further losses that will be incurred if I insist on gambling to recover my gambling losses.
Gambling is not a do or die activity where someone will have to recover their losses before stopping or will be called a weakling because they take a pause in gambling. Gamblers are even advised to take breaks from gambling from time to time if the odds of winning in gambling are against them Title: Re: How do you handle your lost time in gambling. Post by: Majestic-milf on November 16, 2025, 08:15:04 AM Sometimes, trying to stake again after a loss would only yield losses instead of the desired outcome so it's best to stay away from betting for a while because when emotions are high, there are bound to be mistakes.
These days no one views gambling as a recreational activity, especially when one has won several hands in a row for that day, it would then become a means to increase your wealth and as such, much attention is given into it. Gambling can be tricky and would drag you in when you least expect it, especially when you're busy chasing your losses so the best to do during loss is take a break and do something else. So what do you think? Why should I keep wasting my money gambling knowing too well that my allocated funds has been exhausted? It is important to stop, when the funds allocated is exhausted than to keep chasing loses at that point such users is gambling under desperation and you know what that means? Whenever is someone has fallen under desperation they tends to do whatever just to take their place without knowing that they are even digging their grave the more, therefore, it is better to stop gambling when you have finished the very first amount you deposited to the gambling site. I would like to pause, or take a temporary break from my gambling activity to manage my lost time. Perhaps during that moment of defeat, I felt a desire for immediate revenge, but we shouldn't give in to that desire, as it could lead us to gamble excessively or irresponsibly. So, I need to calm myself down and find something else to do while slowly forgetting about the loss. Next, I will place a bet in the next gambling session, hoping to turn things around. But I shouldn't get my hopes up, as that can also lead to losing our minds while gambling, especially if we lose. This has bring me with the questions : how do you handle your lost when gambling? do you just take a pause knowing that is not your day of celebration or you just keep pushing harder and doubling your stakes maybe you just might be lucky hitting it big at once. So what do you think? Well, chasing losses may be a dangerous thing to do when we are losing, but I think it is okay if we do it responsibly, meaning we are prepared to invest money in our bankroll using money we can afford to lose. So, perhaps we can prepare a solid budget for our next gambling session, and I think we should save the funds we set aside beforehand so that we have a substantial amount. Cmiiw. So what do you think? You already stated the problem on chasing lose and the choices that you gave already have 1 exact answer on what should be the right decision. Unless people are masochist with gambling losses they will choose the keep gambling as solution when they loss their bankroll. Always pause when you lose. You have a lot of time to gamble again when you are already move on to your current losses. Title: Re: How do you handle your lost time in gambling. Post by: freedomgo on November 16, 2025, 08:55:09 AM The right thing to do is really pause, but sometimes we can’t avoid chasing losses because we’re just human. Our emotions get too high and we make dumb decisions. I’m just being real here, personally, I’ve made a lot of mistakes like that. I’ve learned from them, sure, but not fully… I still end up doing it from time to time.

So what do you think? See, those who gamble with the greed of money always face more losses, if they enter the bet again after losing, then they will have the highest tendency to lose. Because then the mind, mood and emotions will never be under control because the goal will be to get money or recover money. So it is foolish to enter gambling to recover money that you have lost in gambling, keep yourself calm and patient in gambling again and again, take rest if you lose, then you will see that after a long time you will definitely get more assurance of winning in gambling. And you will have control over your emotions and you will be able to stay away from the symptoms of addiction in gambling. Title: Re: How do you handle your lost time in gambling. Post by: joeperry on November 16, 2025, 09:05:00 AM I think we have different ways or methods to handle when losing. Honestly, I can't control it on my earlier days in gambling, after winning some bucks and losing it all, I tried to win it back and I'm too frustrated that I almost deposit everything that I have just to win back those losses but right now, I can limit my bets and actually it's effective and when the urge to win back my losses just like before, what I do is to play video games usually it was competitive games but it's not always winning and it adds in my frustration but right now i just play games where I can win more likely a single player games and in this way it diverts my frustration to the game.

So what do you think? A fixed bet is primarily used to protect you from big losses so that you don't increase it when you start losing. A few losing bets in a row are not critical in gambling, it only becomes a problem if you begin raising your bet after each loss trying to recover. If you get a losing result it is best to take a break, but in any case you should not increase your bet. Title: Re: How do you handle your lost time in gambling. Post by: bakasabo on November 16, 2025, 09:14:11 AM Lost time, do you mean feel regret that time was spend gambling instead of doing something more useful? That is the biggest issues of all times - feel regret about wasted time, because it is impossible to get it back. How do I handle situations when I understand time was wasted and I did not get expected result? I try not to think about it. It is a very philosophical question. I try to think that everything I do, even if I fail in it, is my experience. Negative experience is also valuable, because it helps to improve.

I handle my losses by taking some break and refreshing for sometime, because I'm not a greedy gambler I always gamble with the amount that I can afford to lose because there is no guarantee of winnings in gambling it is always a game that luck plays a significant role in determining the final outcome. Every gambler deals with losing in different ways, but everyone just wants to get their money back. Most gamblers fail because they don't win as much as they would like. If you stop playing after losing, you can temporarily reduce your losses. You should make sustainable decisions to reduce your tendency to lose. This has bring me with the questions : how do you handle your lost when gambling? do you just take a pause knowing that is not your day of celebration or you just keep pushing harder and doubling your stakes maybe you just might be lucky hitting it big at once. So what do you think? When I lose while gambling, I continue to play more if I have the money I have allocated. If I exceed my financial capacity, I stop gambling immediately. Because when you don't have money, you can't concentrate on gambling. If you have enough money available to gamble, you can gamble with concentration. Stopping gambling at the moment of continuous losses is a good decision for a gambler. It would be a wise decision to stop gambling when you are losing continuously even if you have a lot of money. Title: Re: How do you handle your lost time in gambling. Post by: shinratensei_ on November 16, 2025, 09:30:18 AM Forget and move on! If you're in the losing posiiton, yet still wanna gamble. You're only risking yourself to get another lose because your main point to gamble is to take revenge to recover your lose. You forget your was there for winning and making some profit.
Just forget it, and take some break. It will help you to recover your mentality before you start another gambling session. Title: Re: How do you handle your lost time in gambling. My losses are the cost of that entertainment, and any winnings as a kind of bonus that lets me have even more fun. So since I’m doing something where I’m prepared to lose, there’s no problem. Personally i think the most effective way to deal with losses is to take a break. I quit playing on days that I notice that it is not my day and I do not hurry up to bet more. The following day I might be less clouded and make decisions in a more relaxed manner. The notion of doubling your money to recoup the losses in a single bet might sound like a good idea but is mathematically unsound to play against the house and variance and your own low bankroll that the result will be worse. My advice, therefore is to have a limit of losses set beforehand, get out fast in case you lose, and always keep in mind that big wins in gambling never come but big losses always come in case you get carried away. It is tomorrow to win but tomorrow does not arrive unless there is discipline. This has bring me with the questions : how do you handle your lost when gambling? do you just take a pause knowing that is not your day of celebration or you just keep pushing harder and doubling your stakes maybe you just might be lucky hitting it big at once. Taking a break helps you reset mentally and emotionally you can come back later with a clear mind but chasing losses only leads to frustration and more losses discipline is the real win in gambling not the jackpot. I try to understand the meaning of splurging during difficult times, but it seems to cause various interpretations because how can someone splurge during difficult times when there is no money? But you yourself already understand that it's okay. This has bring me with the questions : how do you handle your lost when gambling? do you just take a pause knowing that is not your day of celebration or you just keep pushing harder and doubling your stakes maybe you just might be lucky hitting it big at once. So what do you think? It's normal to experience losses because the money I bring for gambling is already budgeted. I come to play just hoping to have an enjoyable time. If I win in the game, it's something I didn't initially expect, so I can call it a bonus. As for losing, that's an inevitable outcome. Title: Re: How do you handle your lost time in gambling. Post by: Itz-prisigold on November 16, 2025, 09:57:10 AM Truth be told, when someone starts chasing losses that person is actually falling into one of the biggest traps in gambling. And all these people will not even realize that they have fallen into that trap until damage is already done. Once you start trying to win everything back, you are no longer thinking straight again, you are now gambling with emotions. And at this point you've already messed up.
I've really come to realize that gambling becomes very dangerous the moment your emotions take over. The moment you start doubling stakes out of frustration, the game is no longer about skill or sense, you are now playing with hope and let me tell you, hope is not a strategy. You're losing seriously and still hoping that when you stake big you'll be able to recover what you've lost. You're just putting yourself into more danger. At the end of the day, everyone knows that losses is part of the game. Some days everything will go well, some days things will go bad and that is fine. But when you start to fight a losing streak usually just make everything worse. The best thing you can do for yourself is to set limits, take a break to clear your head, and seriously that can really save you a lot from unnecessary stress Title: Re: How do you handle your lost time in gambling. Post by: sokani on November 16, 2025, 10:24:38 AM I'm not new to gambling. I know very well the consequences of chasing losses. I have learnt the hard way, and I don't want to make the same mistake twice. So whenever I'm having a bad day, I used to accept my losses and move on. I don't press my luck at all. I used to stop playing and I tell myself that if I'm not lucky today, I'll be lucky tomorrow.
Title: Re: How do you handle your lost time in gambling. Post by: Porfirii on November 16, 2025, 10:35:02 AM The real problem is not about chasing loses (which is a problem indeed) but the time lost while gambling in general. I don't know if you've thought about it calmly, but the longer you play, the harder it will be to stop or change the habit.
I don't usually need to pause when I see myself in a losing spree because I set up my gambling sessions to be as short as possible, and no longer than strictly necessary to have a little fun from time to time. Not only because of the time lost otherwise, but mainly because of the habit I said. Title: Re: How do you handle your lost time in gambling. So what do you think? To handle losses is simple but some gamblers find it difficult because they are newbies or because they are addicted so much to gambling. Let me assume that I am earning $90 every week, I can just be using $4 to gamble every week and it will not be more than that.Do not have more than the small amount of money on your gambling account and be disciplined to the extent that you will not fund your gambling account after you lose the small amount of money on your gambling account that week. It is simple for people that are not addicted. Title: Re: How do you handle your lost time in gambling. So what do you think? For me I gamble when I'm free, so there is no lost time that I have to cover just because I gamble. Maybe just a few sleep here and there that I might have lost. Nevertheless, I haven't put gambling as my priority so I guess I'm fine. But for others it really very bad for them to say missed a important event because they are addicted to gambling. The worst horror stories that I heard from a recovering gambling addict is that during his wife labor, he make a excuse to borrow money from this friend to pay the hospital bills. Nevertheless, this gambler not only not in the hospital for the wife's delivery, but the money that he was loaned was put into gambling. Title: Re: How do you handle your lost time in gambling. OP your caption is slightly different from the body of your post. I was even thinking you are talking about time as stated in your caption but the body says losses in gambling. There have already been too many topics on handling losses in gambling and what seems to be a general approach by people is to accept losses as they come since it cannot be avoided. Just gamble with what you will be comfortable losing and remain within that limit, no greed and no regrets. If you maintain that level of discipline, gambling will stop being too painful to you. This has bring me with the questions : how do you handle your lost when gambling? do you just take a pause knowing that is not your day of celebration or you just keep pushing harder and doubling your stakes maybe you just might be lucky hitting it big at once. Using this pattern, I calculate how much I can lose and that is only what I use to gamble. If I lose it, it does not bother me much again because I already made the calculations early and prepared my mind that it can be lost. Chasing loss is not good practice because what makes you lose in the first place can still make you lose more when you chase losses. It is even worse when you change playing pattern without planning.
Title: Re: How do you handle your lost time in gambling. Post by: Z390 on November 16, 2025, 11:22:07 AM I handled my losses in gambling like a champ because the amount i always risks is very small that it doesn't bother me, the money I use for gambling is like buying a soda can after a long day farming.
There was a time where I would be sad after losing money and that was because I wasn't ready to lose the money I risked at the time, now I gamble differently risking small amount of money. Before you gamble always accept that the money you are about to risk on gambling is already lost, if you don't feel right thinking about such then you shouldn't gamble with the money, a amount that you can risk on gambling should also be the amount you are ready to lose. Title: Re: How do you handle your lost time in gambling. Post by: yhiaali3 on November 16, 2025, 11:28:16 AM Ideally, gambling should stop when you're losing, but unfortunately, this often doesn't happen. Instead of stopping, gamblers continue chasing their losses, hoping for a lucky break and a big win to recoup all their losses.
This is what usually happens to me when I lose. Instead of stopping, I keep going, hoping to recover what I've lost. But unfortunately, I lose more and more, and instead of recovering, I suffer even more losses. Therefore, I must stop in such a situation. Title: Re: How do you handle your lost time in gambling. Post by: masulum on November 16, 2025, 11:30:43 AM I mostly stop after I lose my balance and already lose all of my limit of the week. I will take max $15 to playing once a week, and I will use this limit with 2 step deposit. For the first I will use 50% to deposit and re-deposit the rest if losing the first one. Once it reach the limit, and Im still lose, I will stop the session, this way will help me to control my self to not chase for win after loss.
Title: Re: How do you handle your lost time in gambling. Post by: DaNNy001 on November 16, 2025, 11:35:02 AM The best way to handle losses is simply to accept them...one of the main reasons why some people keep.o. losing repeatedly is because they try to avert their losses but this isn't going to make things easier, you are only making things more complicated for yourself...losses are inevitable, its one aspect of gambling that you must learn to accept, trying to elude it only brings you more losses in the long run
Title: Re: How do you handle your lost time in gambling. Post by: ruykeri on November 16, 2025, 11:35:42 AM At first, when I lost, I felt very bad and I would bet more to get back the money I lost. Later, I became addicted and I got into a lot of financial problems. After recovering from that loss, I kept a small part of my income for gambling and did not bet beyond that limit. And the thing is, I do gamble at all as a form of entertainment. That is why I do not feel so bad even if I lose because it is a part of gambling and on the other hand, if I win, I spend that money on various other types of entertainment.
Title: Re: How do you handle your lost time in gambling. Post by: Sanitough on November 16, 2025, 11:49:10 AM I don’t have that kind of mentality, celebrating wins on a daily basis if I get lucky. My goal is long term, so I only celebrate when the whole month ends up profitable. Doing it daily is stressful, and it gives you mixed feelings because you start expecting too much from gambling. In reality, if you’re a regular gambler, you’ll have bad days and good days, that’s normal.
So it’s better not to put too much energy into day-to-day results. Just keep it steady, and if your records show you’re in profit after a month, then yeah, maybe treat yourself a bit. That’s how you build a disciplined approach in gambling. Title: Re: How do you handle your lost time in gambling. Post by: Kelward on November 16, 2025, 11:50:42 AM There's nothing you can do about lost time in gambling, what you can do is find a workable strategy that will guide you against repeating the same mistake if you plan to continue gambling when n the future. The best strategy than I have tried and it's working for me is to have control over my gambling bankroll, your money is actually the only thing that you can have a control over when you gamble. You cannot chase loses if you already determined how much you want to risk in a session. Be disciplined not to exceed the amount that you plan to gamble with and naturally the issue of chasing loses or gambling with your wins cannot occur.

As a gambler I should be able to know when I have reached my limits and my strength stretch hold and stop than to keep pushing myself further to recover what I have already lost while gambling, it shows irresponsible of me to keep gambling after I have incurred several loses and not just that after I have finished what I deposited to site. This has bring me with the questions : how do you handle your lost when gambling? do you just take a pause knowing that is not your day of celebration or you just keep pushing harder and doubling your stakes maybe you just might be lucky hitting it big at once. So what do you think? Gambling is always fun when you understand when to stop and when to keep chasing losses but then, some gambler doesn't apply responsible practices while gambling which could lead them to many loses at the moment of trying to restore what they havs lost already. I think this year I only did that two or three times But in general, I don't change anything. I don't chase losses and leave it for the next few days to place my bets as normal, following the rounds of the championships I usually bet on If I have a bad streak, I reduce the bet amount until I have one or two wins Title: Re: How do you handle your lost time in gambling. So what do you think? Chasing loss sometimes can be very disastrous and sometimes it can be good and the reasons is that there are times you chase loss you won't get anything back instead you keep losing more and more which can lead to addiction because even if you got bankrup at that instant, the next time you have money you would still go try if you can get back the lost money and sometimes you will still end up losing everything again and that's how it will continue untill it becomes a habit but sometimes when you chase loss, you will get everything back and sometimes even have extra and some people will be wise to say I won't try this, to this extent next time and they have learnt from that but stopping is a general option and best most times. So what do you think? On my part, I just follow what our other companions here said, where when we gamble, we should have limits on what we will do in our gambling game in terms of the money we will use as bets in any casino we play in. Because if we don't set limits, we might end up chasing our lost amount in gambling without realizing it. But if we practice setting limits in terms of funds, once they are exhausted, it means we stop and come back another time, that's it. It's good for gamblers to get used to this. Title: Re: How do you handle your lost time in gambling. Post by: Hardyrobust on November 16, 2025, 12:23:44 PM The first thing I think any gambler should do before they start gambling, is to decide how much they intent to gamble with. If this is done the feeling or emotions of chasing after losses may not be there.A gambler that uses his or house rent to gamble won't just want to quit, they will try as much as they can to get what they have lost at the end , they will land themselves into a bigger mess. The best solution to this is to only gamble with an amount that we can willingly let go.
Title: Re: How do you handle your lost time in gambling. Post by: Ruttoshi on November 16, 2025, 01:24:41 PM The only solution is to stop gambling and call it a day. As a matter of fact, if I have lost more than my budget for that day, I stop gambling for a week in order for me not to incur more losses. If it happens that I exhausted my gambling budget for the week in a session. I don't gamble till I refill my budget the next week.
Chasing your losses will lead to more losses because the house hedge always win and winning comes by luck. Title: Re: How do you handle your lost time in gambling. For me, I think the best approach has been taking a break to restrategize, refocus and concentrate without external influences (tension, pressure, etc) as that has been the reason for more losses than wins for most gamblers. This has bring me with the questions : how do you handle your lost when gambling? do you just take a pause knowing that is not your day of celebration or you just keep pushing harder and doubling your stakes maybe you just might be lucky hitting it big at once. So what do you think? Do not chase losses, controlling emotions, knowing when best to stop should be qualities that every gambler should acquire. This is to make sure the occurrence of addicts is limited and avoid emotional distress and financial challenges. Title: Re: How do you handle your lost time in gambling. In fact, those who gamble after losing and then try to recover their losses beyond their ability to lose are essentially gambling irresponsibly and acting stupidly at the same time. This is actually a sign of losing emotional control over oneself, which later gradually leads the gambler to become addicted to gambling. This has bring me with the questions : how do you handle your lost when gambling? do you just take a pause knowing that is not your day of celebration or you just keep pushing harder and doubling your stakes maybe you just might be lucky hitting it big at once. I learned my lesson the hard way, and now I know that forcing it will lead to more losses. There are times when we cannot just use our deep wallet to chase our losses. Anything we do will just lead to more losses, so it's best if we could halt and just take the rest. I did it before and I saw how cruel an online casino can be, especially in slots. It's like no RTP is existing and the unfairness is just too shocking. Now, I have my budget to gamble every other day and that's it if ever it's gone. Title: Re: How do you handle your lost time in gambling. Post by: Slow death on November 16, 2025, 01:56:01 PM In my case, I've dealt with losses very normally. When I lose a bet, I don't panic, I don't cry, and I don't chase losses. This is because I manage my bankroll well and also plan my bets well. I don't put all my bankroll into a single bet; I don't do that. So even when I lose a bet, I win another bet, and in this way, I compensate for the loss without chasing losses. This happens naturally. I've always told people, look at gambling as entertainment and manage your bankroll well, and that way you'll have fun gambling.
Title: Re: How do you handle your lost time in gambling. Post by: amihada on November 16, 2025, 02:12:05 PM Being reckless in gambling will make the situation even more difficult, especially when you are in a frustrating situation due to continuous losses. Gamblers must know their limits so they don't get caught in the mindset of "just one more time" or "this time I'll get lucky", this kind of gambler's style of chasing losses will only make things worse if they lose again.
Awareness of the situation needs to be increased so as not to get too carried away by emotions, perhaps it is better to stop for a moment rather than continue doubling the bet and actually lose more. I always consider gambling as entertainment, not as a source of income because if I continue playing when I am emotional, it will only make me more frustrated. Since I've experienced so many lost, I no longer feel bad when I'm at loss. It's just a normal day, it won't affect my daily life. I think people who have gamble many times should able to accept losses, it's not like at the first time you haven't feel the adrenaline during gambling. You're already experienced, you're capable to take any risk from what you doing. Title: Re: How do you handle your lost time in gambling. Even if I have won more than enough without losing up to the amount I set to lose, I will withdraw that my winning before I continue gambling or take a break. When you win and you don't withdraw your money before you started gambling again, there's a high chance that you can enter a losing streak again and while trying to win back that exact amount, you will lose it, there no remedy for that. Just set a gambling amount and after you have won with that money, make a withdrawal before you continue again.

The best thing to do when I lose bet is to take a leave and rest my head. Nothing should be less than that because if you continue to bet for the sake of revenging your bets, you can lose money than you ever imagine. Gambling is not always predictable for making profits except you have an insider game that is sure of giving you profits.

If you make a limited deposit, all you need to do is bet until your deposit runs out and the game is over. You don’t need to force yourself to make another deposit to chase your losses, because what you will get is even greater losses. Limit your deposits and focus on being consistent with those limits, so you won’t chase your losses. Title: Re: How do you handle your lost time in gambling. It is just that when you talk specifically about gambling, the loss may be more impactful and may cause addiction or chasing losses or debt or penalties or death in most cases out of frustration. Anyone going into gambling must know that, but the hope is always to at some good point, on a random day, win big. Luck will shine on that good day and will help recover the time of loss and if it should abide yet longer, we may have learnt, in that process of the pain we endured during the loss, the strategies to make the winning luck stay longer. Pushing harder in the movement when you are on a losing streak is a stupid decision. You know it requires strong psychology to control your emotions at the right time. In this situation, everyone tends to push harder to regain what they lost, but that decision is emotional rather than mental, or you could say logical. If you are losing, then you should understand that someone else's luck is stronger than yours on that day. You can wait for the right time to make a comeback and regain what you lost yesterday, ultimately making a profit. This has bring me with the questions : how do you handle your lost when gambling? do you just take a pause knowing that is not your day of celebration or you just keep pushing harder and doubling your stakes maybe you just might be lucky hitting it big at once. So what do you think? Hello friend, losing is indeed a difficult situation for many gamblers. In my personal experience, when I lose, I take certain steps. Before starting my wagering, i set a strict loss limit, which helps me to estimate how much I am willing to risk. When I reach that limit, I go to the gym or go outside. Going to the gym helps me clear my mind. I never let my emotions take control. Remember, betting is just for fun & I should not try to recover what I have lost. The real point is, the lessons learned from betting. I regularly keep track of my bets & losses, which helps me understand when my situation is getting dangerous Title: Re: How do you handle your lost time in gambling. Pushing harder when you are losing can be deadly what the person is doing is chasing lost money and could go bankrupt if such gambler didn't stop gambling. There is a need to stop when you are losing back to back we can take some few weeks break and change your system of gambling. When we are addicted it's becomes hard to stop gambling when you are losing. Am not addicted to gambling i have went on break severally when i see am not winning but losing then come back when am ready for them again. This has bring me with the questions : how do you handle your lost when gambling? do you just take a pause knowing that is not your day of celebration or you just keep pushing harder and doubling your stakes maybe you just might be lucky hitting it big at once. So what do you think? You have to go into a bet with the view that the money is already written off. Betting is absolute in most scenarios, you either win completely or lose everything, you don't get 50% back - the live bet cash outs are low. You have to be fairly emotionally and financially stable to understand this, but many people take a long time to mature to this level. The biggest danger to becoming addicted is being unable to let go of your losses, because it can lead you down a path that keeps on getting darker Title: Re: How do you handle your lost time in gambling. So what do you think? Not knowing when to put stop is the biggest mistake on gambling. You can win or lose but you should know when to stop. It's not just for lose. In winning you should also stop. Not stopping could lead you to lose more money. Cause if you're doing excessive gambling in a day, you'll be end up as losing all money. I usually stop when my deposit goes to zeero. Also stop when I hit a good profit. Some days can be profitable, some can be losing streak and we have to accept it, don't do 2nd/3rd deposit. Manage bankroll with your risk management Title: Re: How do you handle your lost time in gambling. Post by: Versatile_choice on November 16, 2025, 07:25:55 PM To me, the only way to handle my lost time in gambling is by going for a break maybe for some weeks. I guess by then the losing streak must have reduced because some losing streak can last for months which gamblers may not know how long it will last so since they are not sure about that they will choose to continue gambling with the hope of wining anytime soon, Not knowing that they still have a very long way to go before they can still locate wining. So the best thing to do when we find ourselves in such situation is to go for a cooling break as we don't know how long the losing streak is going to last.

Losing money at the course of gambling isn’t necessarily suffering or an error because every true gambler should understand that losses are inevitable as far as gambling is concerned and people will always lose, but when we allow ourselves to lose more than we initially planned to or when we allow ourselves or our emotions to push us into chasing those losses, then we can say that’s an error or that we have actually suffered from losses, because at that point we put ourselves in danger and compromise our own safety. I handle my losses by taking some break and refreshing for sometime, because I'm not a greedy gambler I always gamble with the amount that I can afford to lose because there is no guarantee of winnings in gambling it is always a game that luck plays a significant role in determining the final outcome. This has bring me with the questions : how do you handle your lost when gambling? do you just take a pause knowing that is not your day of celebration or you just keep pushing harder and doubling your stakes maybe you just might be lucky hitting it big at once. So what do you think? However, any gambler that knows what gambling is all about wouldn't hesitate to call it a day when experiencing losing streak because that's the easiest way to handle losses in gambling. A good attribute that every gambler must have is the spirit of controlling emotions after loosing, this helps to calm the nerves of the bettor, no one smiles when he/she looses, it hurts and as such the gambler should be able to accept any faith that befalls him during his betting period. Gambling is not a bed full with rossy, there are times you loose and times you win. Your losing might be greater than winning. As you rightly said, the best remedy and solution for handling losses is taking a break from betting, this refreshes your mind and boast your confidence when next you resume playing. If you keep loosing as a gambler you should know when to stop, I understand that consistency pays and due to that fact, one might keep on playing hoping to win on their next bet. Gambling is just all about luck so when playing you need so much luck before you win. I handle my loss time courageously bearing in mind that gambling comes with losing and winning. So what do you think? Chasing after your loss is a bad practice and when you embrace that act, it becomes very hard for you to be profitable in gambling. Taking more risk does not necessarily guarantee you to recover your loss, you’re just getting yourself exposed to more losses which may be irrevocable. When you’re having a bad day at gambling, it is better to just take a break and then strategize again because that’s the best way to not chase your loss and can reduce getting obsessed and eventually getting addicted to gambling. Gambling is addictive, don’t allow yourself get entangled in it no matter what. Title: Re: How do you handle your lost time in gambling. So what do you think? Take a break is always the best option when in lose to avoid more losses through gambling impulse snd strong emotion to recover losses. Gambling more while you are in loss has a high chance to result to more losses because gamblers always consider their previous game that gives psychological effect to chase loss. Title: Re: How do you handle your lost time in gambling. Post by: 9ja Amaka on November 16, 2025, 08:36:46 PM I gamble in my free time, so there is no need for me to recover the time. It wasn't considered wasted time because it was my free time. However, to anyone who thinks they can get back the time and money lost while they keep chasing the loss is doing more harm to themselves. Only beginners in gambling can act this way; individuals who have been gambling for a long time should know that chasing losses is bad. As for the time, there are more time for me to make money which I wont feel the loss anymore.

So what do you think? This question has been asked a lot of times in this board, maybe worded slightly differently but still the same thing. To answer your question, it would depend on the gambler, some would keep trying to win until they run out of bankroll. And for some, even when their bankroll is empty, they will deposit more than they have budgeted to.However, if i have lost a lot of money gambling on a particular day, i simply take a break. I do not deposit extra funds, except it is within my budget. So my strategy is take a break and return a little later. Title: Re: How do you handle your lost time in gambling. Post by: Juse14 on November 16, 2025, 09:02:49 PM We never know when luck will be on our side or when a big win will come our way. However, it's a bad decision to try too many times to chase that big win, because instead of achieving it, we'll only end up facing significant losses we're never prepared to bear. I think one or two losses are enough to confirm that luck isn't on our side.
And even more important than that is how we accept the outcome of each gamble gracefully, especially if it ends in defeat. Don't let the losses we experience lead us to even greater losses. Winning and losing are common and part of the game. The most important thing is how we can enjoy gambling and avoid significant losses. Gambling is for fun, not profit, because the more you chase profit, the greater the losses you'll experience. A reverse theory. Title: Re: How do you handle your lost time in gambling. Post by: len01 on November 16, 2025, 09:05:46 PM For me, I've completely ignored chasing losses and never thought about what I've lost. Although it may seem like I'm throwing money away, it's all worth it because I also derive pleasure from gambling. On the one hand, what I've done is in line with my previous plan, limiting the amount of money I spend. When I lose, I never feel lost because it's a small amount compared to what I have. I also consider winning to be a bonus from gambling, given to us to have a larger budget to bet longer.
This mindset has kept me comfortable and secure with my gambling activities, without worrying about anything. Title: Re: How do you handle your lost time in gambling. So what do you think? You don't chase after your losses as a gambler or you would end up swimming in a pool of loss. A responsible gambler should be able to stop when needed. So many people have become addicted through the need to chase after their loss. They get too upset with the casino and claim to be cheated. They have failed to see the fact that they are the ones making the whole case something else. A gambler should be able to take break at times like this. There is nothing to prove to anybody that we're such a high risk taker and we'll continue to gamble even if it's going to cost us more money. If you are a gambler, always know when you are to stop gambling, if you notice that you already about to exceed your limit, just stop gambling at that moment, trying to win back your loss will end up making you lose the remaining money which you are having with you. If you gamble and you lose, there is always another time. You don’t have to keep on gambling trying to force yourself to win, you can just decide to stop gambling, and continue another time, which am sure gradually you will be able to win back your loss. If I notice a frequent loss, then I will just take a break for that time, I know if I continue gambling, I will keep on losing also. Title: Re: How do you handle your lost time in gambling. Post by: mindrust on November 16, 2025, 09:46:17 PM Doubling down on the losses pretty much means doubling down on the time loss as well. When i notice I have gone too far with my bets, i just take a deep breath and do something else. It gives me pain to stay away but i know for a fact it will be more painful if i don’t stop. Let’s be honest, we can’t gamble 24/7. First of all it is impossible as we will lose our health and second of all like you said, it becomes a time (and money) sink. Most of us have daily duties. Going to work, raising a kid, pay bills etc type of stuff. We need to do these too and if we gamble all the time, it will create a lot of mess. I mean you can get fired for that. Then where will you find the money to play more? Life is all about having a balance. Without it, we tip over.

What else can I do? I don’t have anything left to gamble. I just distract myself by playing online games, browsing social media, or focusing on other things. Because if you keep trying to chase your losses, that’s when you fall deeper. That’s also when people start calling you a gambling addict, someone who even borrows money just to gamble. I’ve done that once before, but I won’t ever do it again. Title: Re: How do you handle your lost time in gambling. It is not bad to keep trying when failing at something, and this is majorly because failure is not permanent, especially in gambling, you maybe losing this minute and then if you keep going, you may start winning the next couple of minutes, I am not guessing this, this is some thing I have experienced myself on multiple occasions..This has bring me with the questions : how do you handle your lost when gambling? do you just take a pause knowing that is not your day of celebration or you just keep pushing harder and doubling your stakes maybe you just might be lucky hitting it big at once. So, just the way you are winning this moment and then moments later, you are losing, this is exactly how initially losing also happens, but then, gamblers have to know when to draw the line incase of over losing, this is loses that have gone beyond normal.. And this is where the talks about limit coming into play, setting an amout of money you know you can afford to lose, and if luck is not on your side and you end up losing this amount, what I will do is simply take it it's not my lucky day and simply move on, there is absolutely no need making a new deposit outside what I've initially budgeted for the game in other to chase after loses, this is the wrong way to gamble. When we are in a losing streak then we need to take some time and take a blow. Betting too many bets simultaneously in an attempt to better the odds can make it even worse and all the more so when we are not knowledgeable of the game. The number of bets we make can be reduced and we can select fewer risky bets since this will put us on a safer path. Principles that are regularly adhered to should act as a reminder that it is not about seeking quick wins that gambling is all about, rather it was about risk management.Generally my method of controlling lost is by staking below two odds but with a good amount, which i considered my best control measure Title: Re: How do you handle your lost time in gambling. Post by: ScamViruS on November 16, 2025, 11:50:28 PM The best way you can handle lost time is for you to just move on from it, you can do this by keeping yourself busy and engaging in activities keeps your mind occupied. Time is something that cannot be recovered when it is lost, you just have to come to terms with reality and accept the fact that you have lost your time and money, reflecting too much on the past will only get you frustrated and depressed The hardest time for a gambler is controlling themselves after losing at gambling, this is not possible for everyone because not everyone's emotions are the same. When I lose big at gambling, I keep myself busy with other things, spending most of my time outside chatting with others. Because we have to accept reality, those who gamble accept reality faster than others because they know that they themselves are responsible for the losses that are happening here and they are doing it consciously. So yes, a gambler has to handle himself and start over. Here, regret does not last long, because the person who loses at gambling quickly returns to gambling again. |
