In for 1 if Bitmain can pull off a good price.

Can you ask him for any more details about upgrading it in the future as he insinuated last month?

Kind of late for S2 buys but maybe they're ready to dump the price like they did with the S1.  I might be interested in 1 but I can see it's just at the point where they may be dropping prices.  Price would need to beat $1500 or $1350 for kit, that would get attention.  Have you considered a group buy for the RockMiner products?

Hi,

Thanks for the interest that has made this Antminer S2 group buy possible.

After some hard haggling and due to the number of units we wish to order I have managed to get the price down to $1489 inc. express shipping per unit.

I believe this is the lowest price to date for an Antminer S2!

Total Due - 2.5btc per unit

Payment address -

After payment you must pm me the transaction I.D, your shipping address and number of units ordered.

Thanks,

waldohoover

@waldohoover:
I can buy 5 S2 if the price is around $1300 (there was a successful GB with $1500 some weeks ago).
BTW, can you clarify about hosting service from Bitmain partners for us? Reasonable hosting price will trigger more ppl to involve.
Thanks!

Thanks for the work on this waldohoover.

I wish Bitmain felt differently about this GB, or at least gave some information as to the upgrade plan.

A question many are asking is, why is your 1 Th miner better than the others, to command such a higher price?

I'm currently speaking/working w 2 other manufacturers for 1THs Miners to see what we can do. I'll try to get a price point set before I begin to gather an interest list up.  ;)

If it was me I would go either directly to Innosilicon or www.lketc.com

They stopped making SP10 in May, nothing from Spondoolies till SP30 in August (or maybe a bit sooner) and currently only availability on the September batch if you are quick.

Please let me know if anyone would like to be removed from the original S2 list.

Now back to work. :)

My interest is the same, if it can be purchased and hosted at a lower cost than I can get from Mr Lee ($1599 + $160 pcm hosting)

This price is crap IMO

We can order Dragon 1T off lketc for 1599 shipped right now

Last S2 groupbuy was $1650 like a month ago. And right now after coupon it's $1700ish

Should be well under 1500 shipped for the many of ppl we have interested

But I know you are working hard. I'm just not interested in Dragon for 1699$.
Something near 1500$ shipped will be more interesting.

Cheers keep the good work!  ;D

Salute to Waldohoover!  Your hard work and efforts in trying to put together a reasonable Group Buy is to be commended for sure.   :)

I think where all the salt is coming from, is Juan had the Group Buy for the S2 back in May for less than this one at $1650.  Two difficulty jumps later, the price for a 1 TH/s miner ideally should be around the $1500 pricetag(which I see you mentioned).

Won't ROI of course, but at $1.5 per GH/s it's a good deal for a miner, and would definitely fill up with buyers fast.

Can you please explain the price to me? How is this group buy paying $100 more per miner than if we ordered directly from the company ourselves?

Have you talked to GAW Miners? I have been talking with them about a GB on their products.. Link in sig.

...this was literally just answered above.

Lee Group sells a delivered miner for $1799 - this is their June 16th pricing.

1 miner in this GB will be $1699. That is $100 off.

and if you get 3 it's $1649 shipped (the S2 price from a few weeks ago)
I went back and looked, didn't really find an answer for my questions, so ill ask here.

Is the price on http://www.lketc.com/ without shipping?
Who is LG and why are you going through them and not LKETC?
Are they giving the root SSH out or still keeping it to themselves? (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=640717.0)

Yeah if you order direct from lketc.com (dragon themselves) it's 1599 but out of stock til 20th.

Here is the reason, why they not accept GB on the S2.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=656461.0

In first come the upgrade kits for S1 and S2 and later the new model S3 and S4.

Try here waldohoover: http://www.lketc.com/engoods/show/252.aspx

1T Dragon miner, this is where most of the resellers buy from.

$1599 inc shipping, thats for 1, if you buy more I am sure you will get a bigger discount.

That's what I was asking about! Apparently "...this was literally just answered above.", but I didnt see anything.  ::)

I just don't understand why we are doing a GB through a reseller than going directly to the source that already lists it cheaper than any other reseller! ??? ??? ??? ??? ???

If this GB cannot beat 1599/each by the 20th I will be removing my order here and buying from lketc..

Bitmain surprising us again, but I felt they were idiots for not taking up a better S2 deal with you.  The fact is they know this S3 will drive them for the next 6 months like the S1 did.  Fingers crossed awaiting their pricing scheme. :o

ORIGINAL POST FOR KEEPS SAKE

================= V2

What is this?

I'm compiling a list of potential buyers for 1THs bitcoin miners. Which miners? This is still TBD.

What is the purpose of this?

To create enough interest to create a bulk order with a manufacturer which leads to cheaper prices.

Which miner(s) are you buying?

This is currently being worked on as I type this. Working with the top manufacturers to find the best rates and soonest shipping times.

Do I have to pay anything right now?

Nope. This is simply an interest list for now, details will be provided as we get closer to finalizing a choice.

Ok, I'm interested. Now what?

Reply in the format of: name; amount of miners; preferred miner (example: waldohoover; 3; S2 or waldohoover; 3; open)

*Initial interest began here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=642586.0

================= V1
Total Interest: 65-100 AntMiner S2s

S2 Interest List

I'm in for 5

In the interest of clarity would everyone be made aware of the price offered by bitmain and your cut?

Understand you need to make something for the effort but would be fair to be transparent. If I presume correctly, we would be paying bitmain direct, they would be drop shipped and you would be doing the order taking/info passing?

Interested in 1 at this stage.
Assume that shipping will be directly from China to members of the GB (doesn't make sense to double ship to US then re-distribute, all GB gains will be consumed by shippers).
If there are coupons to existing Bitmain customers, these should be applied to buys through the GB.

Cheers

id like to order the new hash boards but not the full unit. in other words i would like to upgrade the hash boards on the s1. which i beleive they do offer. they should be the same interface as the s1. if so and depending on price per upgrade i would like 1-5 of the upgraded hash board replacements for the s1. reason im asking here is because the group buy should help with those aswell.

Yea but the what are you going to do with the boards from the S1?  You are willing to trash them?  I don't think they would do very well on ebay as standalone units with no control board.
If they offer sales this way and a lot of people do it I could see an interesting secondary market for control boards developing.

im not sure exactly... lol what do you do with the hash boards when you upgrade your s2 in the coming months? either return them to bitmain so they can increase their profits on recycling?? who knows. we already made our money on the hash boards on the s1's currently. well atleast i have. if you havent roi'd on an s1 id be surprised. ANYWAYS... bitmain says this "All AntMiner S2 and S2 kit will be adapted to the Hash Boards with next generation chips. Clients can freely choose the upgrade version Hash Boards to replace the ones in hands." so if the antminer s3 is the same concept and different chips... why not do the same? i dont care what happens to the old boards lol. i would pay to send them back if it reduced the cost any. or your right a secondary market could develop for the control boards. but i guess we will see.

Just a heads up, I spoke with Bitmain this morning and as far as pricing they will have their official numbers in a few days. I want to say by this weekend or a Monday announcement. I plan and hope to have some numbers finalized before then since pricing is still in the air. So until I hear back again we're just going off of hope for now. :)

so far it sounds like they are going to get their official pricing soon and open up sales on their website within a couple days (they said 3 days in the announcement)

so your thinking you'll have our group buy pricing before they release the official pricing on their website and open up sales to the public?

No sweat, I'll get you added.

Cablez(username) makes awesome cables. I haven't contact him yet but looking to either do a bulk order with him so I can provide them or I'll just refer people to him, whatever is clever. And as far as PSU units.. well, I'm already asking suppliers about bulk discounts :)

From here the s3 will be shipping Europe or direct china?

2 for me

As of now everything will come from China factory, I still want to work out details with Bitmain to also supply them from here in US (California).

Got you down for 2.

I am still unclear how this will all work out if everything ships from China.
Resellers stuff is usually MORE expensive, not less. If you want to become a reseller, that's cool, but it is usually in reverse-first a reseller, then GB-like Juan.
Juan's group buy was very good as far as price is concerned.
Something similar has to happen here to make sense, in my opinion.

What is the purpose of this?

"To create a large enough group order to get a bulk discount.. and hopefully become a reseller"

^ isn't in the interest of everyone nor is it entirely beneficial if your not going to disclose what you make! no disrespect but why should you make an undisclosed amount off other peoples btc  and why shouldn't I just offer to be entirely transparent on payments (which your not!) and give people the actual figures.

I for one wouldn't be happy paying you 10% less for something that your getting 30% discount on. I mean anybody could be doing this, just so happens you've seen an opportunity to make money with no capital. True fairness would be disclosing all figures (yes keep a cut! but be transparent)

I've been in contact with Yoshi, orders are being mooted and collected here and BITMAIN haven't even released nor priced.

I'm ok with having Waldohoover taking a cut, especially if he can give us a deep discount off the retail price.  Deep discount being similar in percentage to the one Juan gave the forum for his group buy of the S2's at $1650 back in May.

If you think you can do better, why don't you setup a Group Buy.   :P

I don't like the 'culty' answer - negativity will not be tolerated? (is that another way of saying don't defy me? - freedom of speech?) I realise that criticism may not feel nice, but it's me being honest.

you guys want me offer a group buy for a forum of peers and be transaparent, I would be more than happy to. I am in the process of opening a UK consultancy for BTC - I have already had several prior conversations with bitmain via mail.

I would also be happy to do it all absolutely transparently (i.e tell you guys at every stage, what money has been collected and how much bitmain offered to cut me a deal for) then pass the savings on YOU (which you would know since you have all the 'official'numbers/prices)

I don't know if this is meant to be 50/50 help other users and make money, or simply to make money.

IF anyone is interested in clear and open group buy, I would be happy to do it (when the S3 is released or close to it of course, orders here are speculative)

In the interest of clarity, I'm not a noobs trying to stir shit and disappear. I'm literally interested in us/myself getting the absolute best deal.

Common courtesy man. You jump in here now trying to hijack my interest list?

Sorry if I've come across as a troll but I'm merely trying to be honest. Of course a cut is fair, but I don't see the problem with disclosing to us as a group what the price you get is. Seeing as no single entity is buying a majority of the units.

Quote
You may want to take your "you have no capital" statement back as well.

I also explicitly stated 'your making money with no capital' (nothing to do with your finances/bank balance). I might be wrong but you'd be expecting everyone pooling their btc to pay i.e not your own capital.

I'm not a troll buddy, if any form of criticism is trolling then we live in a crazy world.

Quote
I honestly have no idea how you do not understand the words "Interest List". You want to take my idea and do it on your own, go ahead, but do it in another thread and do not hijack mine.

I understand fully the concept of an 'interest list' thanks. Without your passive aggressive BS. I don't understand why you have stated figures wont be disclosed.

"Your idea" - I believe 'group buys' and making money are age old techniques. ( I don't know if you're trolling here! lol)

To ratify, I'm not trying to poach your customers. I'm sorry I gave that impression to be honest. My main beef is that I would be more comfortable knowing the numbers and what was paid seeing as users are all in together. (like shareholders, and your essentially the hedge fund manager)

If you willing to work for free either way I don't see the issue, obviously your entitled to make money but surely it should be transparent

Anyway, apologies if I rattled your cage, truly didn't mean to. Maybe I could have worded myself a little more tactfully and constructively.

please remove me from the list

Agreed.  But it depends what kind of price a bulk order can get.  If it's a good miner, most of us will buy a couple over the next few weeks.
So this might be good for a second, third, or whatever, miner.

@ Waldohoover - Forgive me I did not read every page.  Have you had any contact with Bitmain yet?

Regarding an official price, not yet. I believe they haven't finalized their prices as of yet and will not do so until right before their site goes live. This obviously doesn't do us any good but Bitmain isn't stupid. I know they are steadily watching their announcement thread (and maybe here) for the speculative price talk that is going on. I'm sure a lot of that talk gets considered when they do price out their miners. I could be wrong though but as a manufacturer who is for the community I'm sure they do not throw out the idea of community agreed pricing.

I would not be at all surprised it they know the price, it's been set for more than a week, and they only take a cursory look at the speculation thread.  I'm not sure they are that into us.

You speculate 0.85 BTC for the Bitmain's retail price or 0.85 BTC for Waldohoover's group buy?  Because either way, Waldohoover's rate in theory should be lower than the one that will be listed on the website soon.

The price has to be near this mark. Give or take a little bit. I'm afraid BITMAIN is basing their long term ROI on forecasted prices of Bitcoin which they should not. If that's the case, their price will likely be too high - I am guessing they will declare a value over 1 BTC. If that's the case, I will not be ordering the 25-50 units I was planning to.

Not going to just change my average speculation rate based on what you may think it is, sorry.  :D

then simply say: my guesstimate or my speculation...because it is based on what?
i bought some BTC today specifically for S2/S3 order, but I will simply hold it if price is near anything of what you say.
I've got S1 in early to mid march and my ROI per each unit in BTC is ~20% with almost uninterrupted service (minus 4 days vacation) plus cash (~$250 EBAY after fees, minus $115 for electricity, minus $50-60 power supply=$75-80 remainder).
I don't count any work that I put into it.
These are meager returns.
If price is high, i wont do mining at all (at least not with s3).

Your average speculation values are largely that, speculation. And poor speculation. You shouldn't have those values there. It's counterproductive.

If S1 units were 0.4 BTC, and hashed at 200 gH/s, and these hash at 500 gH/s then the price should be NO MORE than 1 BTC. However, the difficulty has gone up, and the fact they're more energy efficient does not make all that of a difference (considering the difficulty jump). If these miners are any more than 1 BTC, I suggest no one buys them.

Sounds good, got you added.  :)

Thanks.

I just noticed the power spec in the OP:

"Power Consumption: 390 W on wall
Power Supply: 4 +12V DC input, PCI-e connectors"

I have a bunch of Corsair CX500s that powered BFLs, Cubes and S1s and never complained (they barely get warm).  The S1 pretty much draws about the same as an S3 at the wall so one CX500 should be sufficient for one S3 (about 74% load on the single 12V rail at around 86% efficiency).  However, most 500W PSUs including the CX500 only comes with 2 PCIe connectors.  Since the S3 requires 4 PCIe connectors, would it be kosher then to use 2 500W PSUs?  What would happen if one PSU breaks down in this type of setup?  I hope Bitmain changes this spec in the final version though as it doesn't make sense at all and only serves to provide more cable clutter.  Two PCIe connectors should be sufficient for the S3.

You could also buy some molex to pcie. So you could get 4 pcie on a 500W but I would suggest you to power this with a 600w min just in case.  ;D

Or...
They know that once S3 sales open, or even have the price released, it will kill the S2 on impact.
Can't say I blame them...if I had a product that was about to kill any hope of selling an existing product of mine I'd want to clear out the inventory first!

I doubt that it will kill S2. reasons:

1. S2 is all in one box
2. S2 has power supply
3. S2 is much more DC compatible
4. S2 has a clearer upgrade path that was already promised.
5, S2 is $1.45/GH with coupon; If you count PSU cost, S3 parity point with S2 is at ~1.1BTC.

Wow really? We have to wait a week.  I'm sure they're waiting to get rid of the S2 orders.  But the concern is they might want to set the price above half of what the S2 currently is just to show off their shiny new toy.  Is it worth it?  Probably not the first round.  But let us hope I'm completely wrong the price in reality should not be over 1.1 btc at most.  Well at least I won't have to monitor the thread every 10 minutes.

Why you guys want to buy mining equipment unless power is dirt cheap and equipment too then buying is worth it besides the ASIC's manufacturers are your competition, they're making sure the difficulty rises to force you to buy more. If you bought coin two month ago at 4xx today you'll se profits. Mining is becoming less profitable every time difficulty rises and price stay the same. 1TH produces 0.035xxx a day less power consumption and cost of equipment plus difficulty rising almost every week do the math and stop supporting your competition.

Its difficult to say how many - depends on the price and also the price of upgrade options for the S1 and S2, both of which I own.
Please add me to your list and lets hope the price is right, ie: less than .5BTC shipped.

I doubt these will be anywhere near that price, speculation is near double that. Do you still want on the list?

The S3 will mine less than .8 BTC before operating costs exceed income, based on 20%, $.15kwh and current BTC price.
I'm not interested if I don't have a reasonable expectation of ROI.

Bitmain will make the price tempting as always for them to sell. They are good at marketing too.

At the right price I'd be interested yes. Can I get mine signed by the guy who designed it ?

@waldohoover
Thank you again for organizing this GB!

Qs:
- I would be in for at least 10 pcs, hosted with you (if possible) if the GB price is right  == around 0,85-0,9BTC/S3.
- Have you thought about hosting&handling price yet ? Based on usual prices and expected power consumption of S3, would it be possibly around 50-60USD per machine/month ?
- In case of hosting, will you be able to supply PSUs ? If so, what would be expected price (around 50USD/PSU maybe ?)

Sorry for these Qs - it might be too soon to ask them, but anyway thanks for your reply and GL with GB!

waldo,

I may be interested in getting one S3 hosted.

I have read some of the group buys you have organized and have some concerns: such as,

You have changed terms AFTER miners have arrived and you started hosting, like increasing the management fees, sometimes doubling the fees. Can you give us assurances that you will not change the terms set forth at the start of the groupbuy?

I have another concern that I'd like to address after my question above has been answered.

Sincerely,

Np ;)

- I'll put you down for 10 (hosted interest)
- Still working out specifics but your estimate is right around where mine is looking
- Yes, I can supply PSUs as well- I haven't done my scouting on those just yet but providing them won't be an issue. Hopefully I can get a wholesale price if I host enough machines to bring down costs.

Sincerely,

What I'm assuming you're seeing is when people assumed my electric rate would be cheaper than it ended up being.

My original terms were this:

3% to cover hosting. Terms were changed because 3% didn't even cover the electric, let alone the cooling, cables, psus, etc etc etc.

So I said ok, I'm raising the fee to keep the machine on, at this point I was paying to host miners  ::) So yes, I charged a 'hosting fee' that was just the exact rate I paid my electric company. Meaning, I did all work for free and everything else was out of my pocket - the only fees they were charged was the bill from my electric provider.

With that being said, those people you're referring to: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=230391.msg7393299#msg7393299

Now, that was my first GB - yes, there were a lot of things that I had to learn along the way and a lot was assumed. I used to just react and play it day by day. Now, I plan, plan, plan and plan. I've been through a lot (you can all see my history) and you can see I've always taken care of anyone who has done business with me. Still paying dividends weekly and have been since 2013. Still here trying to help everyone out (and stay afloat of course).

Additionally, this is not a GB. This is an interest group for S3s - I'm wanting to do this as a reseller, not necessary an organizer. So there no "terms" because again, this is just an interest list.

Lastly, any hosting fee I announce will never be raised from here on out. I learned before with my example on % charging and will be using a different pricing method to avoid those issues. :)

As far as I know one host miners mainly due to the interest in it as a hobby and not as a pure business for profit.
Also electricity is not the only expense when hosting. The overhead for making there heavy KW run safely is also expensive.
Above all, there are a lot of man hours need to be dedicated and many unknowns.

As far as I know, cost of hosting a miner is a tedious job.
Its not just plug and play as it virtually seems. There are direct and indirect expenses.
Cost includes direct and indirect expenses. I know some who employees a guy just for managing the hosted miners.
Direct Expenses like;
01. Miner Price
02. Shipping Cost
03. Customs Duty Charges
04. PSU Cost in case of Non PSU ASIC Devices
Indirect Expenses like;
05. Hardware Room
06. Power Facilitation & Custom Cabling
07. Cooling Management
08. Frequent Monitoring
09. Business/Income Taxes as applicable
10. Risk of own Hardware Failure like electrical installations, PSU, etc except ASIC Device
11. Inflationary Expenses like Power Cost
12. Maintenance of Miners once weekly or atleast once a month
13. Power Backup Solutions(Battery/Inverter/Generator/etc)
14. ?

As he stated that was his first GB and hosting deal. He explained why he had to change the hosting fees. If you don't want hosting, don't host your machines. Waldo has been very honest and up front about everything. I highly doubt he is trying to screw anyone out of money, just merely covering his own costs so he is not running his business with zero returns.

Bitmain is proud to announce the sale of AntMiner S3 for 0.75 BTC each to include International shipping.  S3 is hashing at 478 GH/s while consumes 366 Watt power from the wall.

AntMiner S3 is the third generation Bitcoin mining rig made by Bitmain. It uses the state of the art BM1382 chip powered by the 28nm tech process with ultra-low power consumption, targeting the best combination of power efficiency and low capital expenditure for mining investors.

Specifications:

Hash Rate: 478 GH/s±5%

Power Consumption: 366 Watt at the wall

Power Efficiency: 0.77 J/GH on wall

Power Supply: 12V DC

Size:  331 mm x 137 mm x 160 mm

Fans: Two 14038 fans mounted on both front and back ends.

Operating Temperature: 0 °C to 35 °C

Complied with: FCC / CE

Network Connection: Ethernet

Notes:

1)   Power consumption: This figure depends on the PSU efficiency, ambient temperature and the accuracy of the power meters.

2)   PSU: You have to prepare your own the ATX PSU. The S3 ships without a PSU. There are 4 PCI-e connectors for +12V DC input, but it only needs to connect two of them if without overclocking (PSU not included). Don’t parallel connected different DC input from different PSU into the same Hashing board.

Features:

Stand alone: The S3 mines stand alone, needs no proxy server.

Quiet: The customized heat sinks mounted to the hash boards, one box over S3 to control the air flow, two fans mounted on both front and back ends that mean fans are able to work at lower speed to dissipate all heat easily. This design let S3 run at much lower noise level.

Stable: Running 24 hours a day with minimal downtime.

Accurate: Hardware Error got from the sample unit rate is as low as 0.01%, hundreds times better than some competing products.

Efficient: High energy efficiency to save your investment on PSU and electricity bills.

Waldohoover, any word on this Group Buy yet?  When will it start and what group buy price will it be, since Bitmain announced 0.75 BTC to the public?

Bitmain already opened up sales, and people are buying them left and right (minimum order of 2).

Just curious to see as this first batch of orders will ship out July 10th.

Chuck it's kind of a bummer that after 400+ posts the guy running the thing hasn't posted itt for three days and is nowhere to be found on the day sales open up.  The way the site is being bombarded it looks as though this batch will sell out quick so the GB idea may be DOA.

Also, BitmainTech said shipping will be somewhere between 7/10 & 7/20

Yup, thanks for pointing that out.  Just wanted to see Waldohoover's take, as it could be awhile before Batch 2 opens up(possibly early August), at the rate Bitmain's getting slammed with orders.

Obviously groupbuy and reseller options are only available for later batches, the first one is exclusively sold through bitmain.

The second /3rd batch should allow a groupbuy, this should lead to a nice price per unit.

It is however likely that the minimum order quantity of 2 will prevail.

Antminer S3 sales open at $465.-

Really? Common courtesy, please. I kindly ask you to remove your link from my thread.

Anyway, order directly through bitmaintech.com - at this point no bulk pricing is in stone.

Only thing I can offer is S3 w/ Hosting - pay for a full year and get a free PSU for your unit.

http://www.coiningsolutions.com/?p=547

If I buy one unit through coin solutions, when will it be shipped to the UK?

If I buy one unit through coin solutions, when will it be shipped to the UK?

If you only want to purchase 1 unit, it will be 3-5 days from US. If you order 2, they will leave directly from China.

To be honest I haven't got the Bitcoin for two ATM, so I'll go with you. And hopefully buy into the group buy when its up and running.

I had replied above earlier- Just order directly through Bitmain for now, as we do not have a solid discount price in stone.

Thanks,
I wasn't sure if it wasn't going to happen at all of if bulk pricing is still being negotiated. Sounds like the latter.

This is what the email looks like:

You have just been sent a personal message by waldhoover on Bitcoin Forum.

IMPORTANT: Remember, this is just a notification. Please do not reply to this email.

The message they sent you was:

Quote

I got scammed from someone who uses BITCOINTALK to fuck me up?

When this is thruth I will immediatly stop using Bitcointalk.
If the most official forum about Bitcoins and Altcoins is such a crap...

I first, logged in to check if everything was allright.
I even got my own messages in outbox.
The fact the the name says Waldoohvr instead of Waldoohover wasn't even spotted by me.

If Bitcointalk lets people get FUCKED this easy, they are scammers themselves!

I will direct sell my 20MH Titan Share of Waldohoover, before I will get fucked again. (550 euro) Anybody can PM me!
From this point on, I can't trust nobody, even NOT PM from Bitcointalk (Even the dontreply@bitcointalk was right)

The only sollution I have is very simply, I am gonna fuck some other people and rip their bitcoins, when it works this
easy, it's more worth then mining....

Good job, good effort Waldohoover for attempting to put this S3 Group Buy together.  700+ interested, that's nothing to sneeze at!   :o

Like you mentioned, it's because Bitmain is selling S3's from their main site so fast, that no group buy discounts could be reserved for Batch 1 or 2.  If Juan from 112bit was unable to set one up, even with his previously successful 150 S2 sold, that just goes to show how popular this miner is.  Nothing to feel bad about.

That said, if you somehow start one for Batch 3, I'm definitely in for 1 or 2 S3s.

Kudos man.

Chuck

If you lost its not others problem but your own.
Your inability in identifying scams lead you to loose coins.
If you have generated 19 BTC in 16 months and it was not from pure luck, then you are smart.
You should have done guiding the others in the forum and should intelligently start any good service.
That may have increased your reputation and thereby more coins will start rolling into your pocket.

@waldohoover
Hi waldohoover, thank you for hosted S3 offer! Let me ask few Qs:
1) When do you expect S3s to be online if bought from you (B1/B2)&hosted ? (I mean +days from date of delivery from bitmain - e.g. delivery+1D...)
3) When will you collect monthly fee - in advance or at the end of month ? (paid in US or BTC ?)
4) Any plans for ssh remote access ? (or manual pool setup by you ?)
5) Would you consider bank wire payment ?
6) Why is price of PSU per S3 $99? Are you using some kind of platinum certified PSUs or other extra setup ? Just curious - cause standard 450-460W ATX PSU (=S3 running at cca 80% of PSU power = usually most efficient) costs around $40-50 incl. shipping...

Maybe it would be great if you would start a separate thread for your services in mining sect., I guess this thread is dead :)

Anyway, thank you very much for your offer and looking forward to doing business with you!

I too had these issues and I only got my orders on 23rd which where ordered in the first 5 minutes of Batch 1 S3 sales open.
First part of my miners gone to some other country and the miners already reached here had to wait for the ones gone to another country.
The misdirected once then gone back to China and again shipped back to me.
And at customs again an issue popped. The label / invoice mismatch with the quantity of order.
Again UPS requested for a new invoice from BitmainTech and with the new invoice UPS could clear the package and delivered them to me after a long 10days waiting period.

Don't they resell from bit main themselves?

I'll do $490.

And no they aren't. They don't even have units, silly :)

Waldohoover, you know they will start shipping the next batch within 5 days. Furthermore, it is generally a bad idea to trash your supplier on these forums. Bitmain in particular has earned some respect.

I've ordered 2 antminers from Coiningsolutions, one is being delivered to California and one to Canada!
I've never got my units yet so I can't comment on how they are, If my units are DOA, I can't ship it back to the US.. it'd cost me a small fortune:(.

I'd like to say that coiningsolutions are quick to ship and decent to deal with!
A+++!

No upgrade kits as of now.

The S3+ is a tweaked revision of the standard S3 that Bitmain reconfig'd.

They ship on or before Sept 20th  :)

any idea what the "tweaking" is all about?

**also notice I found 2 blocks do you think i would of found those solo mining?

and then one more question anyone have any experience with http://bitsolo.net/ I ask because i cannot figure out for the life of me how to setup these antminers to solomine :) I have a typical Brighthouse-roadrunner cable modem/ router  that was running on the 192.168.0.1 type network which i changed to 192.168.1.1 That was a real nightmare to figure out for those who need to know your login for these routers if they are brighthouse and motorola is username admin password motorola that wasnt easy info to pry from brighthouse and came with a warning not to change the settings haha

at any rate i tried solomining using 127.0.0.1 then 192.168.1.9 (local ip of computer with wallet) both failed to connect, should i be trying with my IP address as found at whatismyip.com or something? I setup the .conf file with rpcuser etc.
Anyone have anylinks to share on how to solomine with a antminer on such a network setup? Since solomining bitcoins is still not recommended I was thinking of solomining NEOS , i would like to solomine FFC as well but cannot even get that wallet to connect to a network to get the blockchain. The reason i want to solomine NEOS is i ran my antminer s3 all day and got like 72 NEOS coins in a pool but found 6 blocks during that period If i would of been solomining them  well I would of had 3x the NEOS I think that all be it BTC solo mining might be like winning the lottery these other alt sha-256 coins might be worth solomining ?
