Satoshi was a libertarian, in favor of free market. In free markets everyone has the opportunity to fairly compete. In a free market there are many options of any product, not oligopolies, or monopolies.

Also, he released Bitcoin as open source software. Open source software is well known for been cloned a lot. For example, we have literally thousands of Linux clones. If he didn't want/expect bitcoin to be cloned, he would have never released it as open source.

I dunno what you're all bitching about. This coin was launched flawlessly. Dev Speaks English. Those are two check marks in the win column compared to most shitcoins. If it's the name you dont like, I can list about 15 other coins with stupid names that people buy and sell -- Voot, Toothfairycoin, TruckCoin,ROXCoin, etc. etc. etc.

The dev took two ideas that have worked and merged them into one. Doge is fun, and that's about all it has going for it. The community doesn't care about price which is why I dumped. Blackcoin cares about price and they have measures in place to try to drive price up. Dev put two and two together, so what if the name is stupid. I mined it, I'll sell some of it, and hopefully make some profits. Isn't that what new alt coins are for?

All the fud in this thread is ridiculous. There is a 10,000 block mining period, if it blows up everyone spreading fud will be bitching about missing the boat. If it doesn't blow up, it's still only 7 days of mining so the overall loss is not that great. The end game is that it's a risk like everything else but the actual risk is not that great in comparison what the possible gains could be. Even if the eventual list price is only a quarter of the blackcoin price, or even similar to the peak doge price it would be worth the intial risk. And if not its a 7 day loss which in the long run of a 365 day mining period is very minor.

pool.mn down????  They removed it from their list without saying anything. bastards stole 100k from me by the looks of it.

Yeah I think they were stealing coins or screwing with distribution, I had found 32 blocks 3 mill worth of coins but had only received 1.2 mill through distribution. Things didn't add up.

After asking around for a bit, it seems like they regularly rip everyone off, because they can get away with it, and nobody tries to stop them. After asking around, anyone who answered my question said they themselves or someone they knew was robbed by pool.mn ; If only I knew what to do about this...
 
Coin devs should distance themselves from these people and remove the link to their pool from the front page.

Funny thing is I used to mine doge here too, but for a very short time, I got 2x as much everywhere else. I assumed it was from pool size or something, that was the reason people always gave me, not something I'll trust again even if it is true.
I guess it's so easy to take advantage of people some folks just can't help themselves.

The pool has not been deleted. There were some issues with the webserver and it has been fixed now. Please, withdraw your coins and stop accusing us for no reason.

Btw, hashrate and new blocks were accounted accordingly only the frontend was down.

When you find a block you share it with other miners who are also mining, so it could happen that you find more blocks than what you are rewarded for. If you don't like that this can happen, then maybe pool mining is not the best option for you and you should consider solomining.

That problem was reported in march, since then there were no fake share vulnerability problems on pool.mn pools. 

I'm aware of how it works. I've just never had such a huge disparity between blocks found and actual earned rewards. The total earned rewards are less than half of actual produced results. It still remains fishy to me. Typically if something walks like a duck, talks like a duck, and looks like a duck; it is a duck.

I'm on the same situation, found 9 blocks on the pool (for a total of 892,857 BDC), and got paid around 180,000 BDC.
It's strange that such a huge differential is happening, maybe there are some found blocks that weren't paid (happened on other pool I was mining)

I am now looking at the average statistics - there are some miners who were paid on average more than 200k coins per found block and some were paid less than 50k coins per found block (you were one of the least (most) lucky miners as you were paid on average 20k per found block). Whether you will be in the group of most/least lucky miners is a matter of luck and that is why pool mining is smoothing these differences.

Suppose we have two miners A and B with the exactly same hashrate. Both are submitting shares and trying to solve for the block and suppose that during 24 hours both have submitted 100 shares. However miner A was lucky and he found 50 blocks whereas miner B wasn't lucky and he only found 10 blocks. The pool has a total of 60 blocks found by miners A and B and because both were submitting equal number of shares both are rewarded by the same number of coins, i.e. A and B each will receive the equivalent of 30 blocks in coins minus the pool fees. As a result miner A has found 50 blocks but has only received 30 blocks worth of coins whereas B has found 10 blocks and has received also 30 blocks worth of coins. Therefore, average coins received per found block for miner A is 30/50 = 60% of the block reward, whereas for miner B is 30/10 = 300% of the block reward.

The math lesson wasn't necessary, you could have just said you were using the per block per user average as opposed to the whole pool average. Since realistically it is mathematically impossible to earn a higher average than the block reward unless you are only calculating the average against the blocks that only the user found  as opposed to the average calculated against all blocks found.

I still think that there is something screwy going on with your pool. I have continued to find blocks despite the lowered user count and my rewards have never normalized. Being that I'm the number 12 blockfinder on the pool the previous argument that was presented is slowly dwindling to obvious bullshit. I have produced 5.2 million coins and have yet to receive 2 million. The reward against the production is illogical, I call bullshit.

Now there will, no doubt, be unforgiving, bloody-minded rakes out there who will ask, “So what if Black Dogecoin's allies progressively narrow the sphere of human freedom? That won't affect me.” Such crippled thinking is the best example there is as to why Black Dogecoin is not interested in what is true and what is false or in what is good and what is evil. In fact, those distinctions have no meaning to it whatsoever. The only thing that has any meaning to Black Dogecoin is Bulverism. Why? I hardly know. But I will stake the immortality of my soul that nobody seems to realize that Black Dogecoin just wants to avoid detection and punishment. I know you're wondering why I just wrote that. I'll explain shortly, but first, I should state that I would like to believe that Black Dogecoin acts with our interests in mind. I really would. But Black Dogecoin sure makes it difficult to believe such things. For instance, it spouts the same bile in everything it writes, making only slight modifications to suit the issue at hand. The issue Black Dogecoin is excited about this week is Oblomovism, which says to me that when I was growing up, we were taught that one should always try to tell you a little bit about Black Dogecoin and its quarrelsome ruses. Nowadays, it seems that more and more kids are being taught that conspiracism is the key to world peace. You can thank Black Dogecoin for this rash pedagogical viewpoint, especially given that it wants to control every aspect of our lives. Black Dogecoin wants us to rise, fall asleep, work, and live at the beat of a drum. Then, once we're molded into a uniform mass, we'll be incapable of seeing that I've never bothered Black Dogecoin. Yet Black Dogecoin wants to take over society's eyes, ears, mind, and spirit. Whatever happened to “live and let live”?
