Ok, things are getting really exciting here lately.

Pmpool is entering a new phase and to spice things up for big players we are now giving away 1 BTC bonus to each block finder for each block that you find on PPLNS. The only condition is that your average hash rate is 100TH+.
To address any speculations in advance - the 1BTC per block bonus comes from our own pocket as a form of investment in this venture. In the meantime you still get paid 100% PPLNS including transaction fees.

All newly found blocks will be posted here along with TXid for the 1BTC bonus paid to the block finder. ( of course if the block finder agrees to have such information disclosed )

We are anxious to announce the first winner, so we wish you good luck.

Are your servers in EU, US or Asia? -

Also, anyone running on them with a payout yet?

EU based servers at this point. Works perfectly for both US and Asia being in the middle. We also have some spare US based machines, which we can turn into nodes if necessary.

We recently had to split with some of our partners who decided to go on a different road, so we consider the pool to be re-born with brand new servers, interface and so... No new blocks/payouts since we're back, it is just day one. ;)

Yes, I see you. Just to let you know that your current hashrate is not enough to qualify for the 1btc/block bonus, but you probably already know that. ;)

Things are going well. Several high speed miners joined and pool hashrate is growing. We are waiting for a block now.

Any 100TH+ miners, please feel free to join for our incredible 1BTC per block bonus. No other pool will give you 100% PPLNS reward plus 1BTC flat bonus if you find the block.

Anyone want a 1 BTC bonus for finding a block? ;)

I want. But since each miner, even with 500 Gh or even lower can find the block, each should have a chance for that reward, don't you think so? Sure their chances are very low, so you don't lose anything if one of the thousands of miners will find a block...

You're right, everyone should have an equal chance for winning the 1btc per block reward. We are definitely planning to do that sometime in the future.
However, before we get there we prefer to stimulate high speed miners to join our pool to give us a boost, instead of getting thousands of small miners generating connections and load. At this point the required speed for qualifying for the 1btc per block additional reward is 100TH+.

We are planning to gradually lower the limit as more high speed miners join, so everyone will have the chance to win 1 BTC if they find a block.

Yea I'm having a hard time believing the only statistic on the pool which is the pool speed. I've added 4TH for the past couple of days. Nothing better than feeling like you are pissing away hash power, when you have absolutely no idea what kind of progress we have on the "current block"..

Yep, looks like most of our miners are being impatient and switching to other pools.
Even though network difficulty is just 41G, it still takes time to find a block.

We are still inviting big miners to join and win our 2BTC per block prize. Anyone need extra BTC? ;)

As soon as we find a block everyone will receive their reward.

3BTC bonus for the block finder sounds quite generous and we may really consider that. How many of you would join to hash for a block with a 3BTC additional reward for the block finder?

Of course there is risk involved, but that's why there are additional rewards for those willing to take it. If enough miners join we will make the block finder bonus 3 btc.
We are also working on a bonus for SOLO miners, which will be one of a kind. No other SOLO pool gives away bonuses to block finders.

Connection details for SOLO mining are the same as for pplns. You just need a SOLO account. If you already have a pplns account, you need to logout and register a new account. You can select between solo and pplns when registering.

We currently have a SOLO high roller hashing at approx 200TH for our 27btc block reward. Most likely rented rigs from miningrigrentals or nicehash/westhash.

Let's hope he gets lucky to strike a block.

65 miners and counting!

Some of them hashing sporadically all at the same time. Perhaps they use us as a backup pool and all using the same main pool, not sure which one.

New best share: 42.1G

Would have been a BLOCK on the previous difficulty. What's funny is that it was submitted by a 500Gh/s miner. Someone got lucky, but a bit too late :)

We got a bunch of new connections all at the same time once again. By looking at other threads, it appears that Kano's pool had a restart, so most likely it is some of his miners that have us as a backup pool.

One more thing - we had a few miners asking whether we are compatible with Nicehash/Westhash. The answer is YES, extranonce sizes are large enough and you can rent hash power from Nicehash or Westhash and point it to a solo or pplns account on our pool. Actually some miners are already doing so. Most of them on SOLO accounts chasing our 27btc blocks.

Sure, we will definitely create such a page as soon as we hit a block. At this point there isn't much to display on such a page.
Until then we are aiming our efforts into letting more people know of our bonuses so we attract more miners and find a block sooner.

I am glad to see this, but no offense you can very easily lie about this. I mean there is no list of all workers and all submitted hashes which means you can just make up a winner.

You could easily be redirecting hashing power on your pool to another site. Why don't you provide a stats page to prove that each users stats are being used on this pool?

What would such a page prove to you? It would just expose usernames and hash rates to the public. I guess you don't want others to know that you own let's say 300th of gear.

How about a wallet address for the mining pool? Both of the other solo pools,-ck and aTg, make that public. At least post that so that whenever a block is found it can be tracked. I have found a block on both solo pools in the forum, so I don't want to be wasting my energy.

Kipper, yes it is possible for a pool to act as a "proxy" to another pool. Of course we are not doing so, because we have solo and pplns accounts at the same time. We cannot redirect solo accounts to another pool and still be able to pay 27btc when someone finds a block. Everyone mining on our pool mines on our pool and is not redirected elsewhere.

At Pool hashrate: 91.09 TH/s it will be tough to find a block or need a lot of luck. Also I wonder how you can justify paying out a prize if a block is found?

The first block is always the hardest. I am sure that as soon as we hit a block other miners will follow and the pool will grow and start cracking blocks at a regular rate.

As for your question about the prize - we will post the TXid of the prize payment here. Of course we will also ask the winner to confirm that by posting here if possible. Hopefully he wouldn't mind...

Funny question. What is stopping all other pool operators from taking a block and running?!? We don't want to take anything from miners. We have bitcoins. Even more, we are giving away our own bitcoins as bonuses to miners just to make them mine with us.

I am sure they all started somewhere and built their good reputation in time. We are doing the same thing here by running a stable pool and giving away our own money as additional rewards to stimulate miners to hash with us. Once you see that we are paying out, I am sure you will join too.

I am shooting 100th  at the ppns pool

some simple math if  20 people  shoot 100th at this pool for 4-6 hours
we should hit the block and find out if he is legit

the ppns is worth shooting 100th for the bonus not forever just a lot of us to get over 2 or 3 ph

does not cost much to do 4-6 hours 20 to 30 people 100th each

Philip,

That's a great idea. We would love to prove that we are legit. Everyone will get their earnings and someone will end up with a 2btc bonus for finding the block.
Everyone can see that we actually keep our promises and recently paid out the 1btc prize in our last contest to daddyfatsax as he confirmed.

So, who's in?

If it is done on the ppns pool at the op is a bad guy no one gets burned much.  I did a shot yesterday for .1btc renting 150th which would allow me the chance at the bonus of 2 btc.  It did not come in, but I am willing to do this again  It is 11 am Eastern standard time.  Or New York City time.  At 6pm  or 7 hours from now  .  I am going to do a 150th rental at nicehash for   about 3 hours.  I will put in 0.2 btc which will last 3 hours from 6 to 9 pm eastern standard time.

So how about a few guys post and say if they will do it.  remember it is the ppns pool not the solo pool I will do it in tonight.

that makes 2 of us.

I have the spare coins as mmpool.org finally hit a block  took 1200+ hours.

I figure doing the solo has too big of a downside (ie I hit it and he runs),but .1 or .2 even .3 btc at the ppns pool if the block comes in and he runs the loss is far less.  So what the fuck why not.

I have not found a solo block here, yet. I won't say I am 100% sure that they will not run off with the 25 BTC, but so far they have been very responsive to all my questions, did pay me the 1 BTC bonus, and the pool runs -ck's software. I was skeptical of aTg's solo pool as well, but that turned out great.

It is a big risk, so ultimately it is up to you. I trust them enough to mine here, and will for at least another month or until the summer heat makes me shut everything down.

I am in the process of doing a 3 hour rental for 125th going to do it on the pplns pool as it is less risk. I am using west hash rental.  I am going to start it with 5th and add the rest in about  40 minutes.

yeah his  total  pool does not reflect my hash which is clearly happening.
the dashboard shows  103000gh  = 103th  ,

my avg is stuck at 2.62

which I understand can mean  I mined very little time with the 100th.
But the pool should be a lot more it is not moving upwards.  from the 68.3

I will give this 3 hours at 100th plus

Yes pool hash rate has not changed?? My hash rate on my dashboard seems right... my avg hash rate is over 10 shifts so it will read low. But the pool hash rate not moving at all makes me fell uneasy.

well he may have a  long delay but frankly With 3 of us tossing 100 each that is over 300th.

If the meter never leaves 68th I would really want my rental refunded by him and a detailed explanation of his accounting.  I don't mind spending .1 btc to find a scammer.

I would like to think he will fix the issue.  Please keep records of the rentals to show we are mining.

Guys, the dashboard is working just fine. What appears to be the problem?

As for the hashrate reports - please keep in mind the following:

Pool hashrate is based on shares in all currently open shifts. In other words, the last approx 40 hours. So it will take a few hours to see the pool hashrate grow and a constant speed across those 40 hours to see a stable reading. Nothing to worry about if you don't see this increasing immediately after you connect a miner.

Current hashrate for your account - your current hashrate based on your shares for the past 5 minutes. This displays the actual speed of your miners/rentals.

Average hashrate for your account - as written on the dashboard, this is your average speed in all currently open shifts. You need to hash during all those shifts to see your average reach your actual hashrate.

Anyway, those are just numbers that need some time to display the correct values, nothing to worry about.

5min average pool hashrate currently at 290T.

5min average pool hashrate currently at 290T.

okay I will will make a suggestion most pool owners attempt to show current pool rate not a rolling 40 hour average.   I don't mind tossing 125th at you for  a long enough time to see the pool rate get higher.  I know for a fact that the pool rate did go higher when I ran 25th at you for  a while last night.

I suggest you show 2 pool rates

1) current  =    ?    missing

2) 40 hour average = 68.38th

You show my

1)current hash rate  =  123.346th
2) 40 hour average  rate = 3.85th

to follow up   3.85/68.38 = 0.0563

0.0563 x 25 =  1.407 btc    plus the bonus 2 btc = 3.407 btc is that correct  or close to correct as to what happens if I hit the block?

yeah makes sense.

 he should do

 1) the current pool    ------------->>>>>>> missing

 2) the 40 hour pool avg = 85

 3) the current miner status = 130th
 4) the 40 hour miner avg 5.25

I will continue to mine my 125th  for 1 more shift.

Your calculation is pretty much correct, except that it is shares that are rewarded, not THs. So if you hit the block this very moment, the calculation should look like:
(25/2814460399)*181823717=1.61btc + 2btc bonus = 3.61btc

2814460399 is the total number of shares in open shifts, 181823717 are your shares.

Same here it all made sense other than the pool hash rate as you would think that was in real time less a small delay, but it must not change until shifts do.

Yes, the oldest shift got rotated, so the pool speed got updated too. The next pool speed update should be in approx 4 hours.

Well, we can also add a pool speed report for a shorter period, but readings would not be that accurate and would be jumping up and down. If all of you want that, I will pass this to the devs.

I think If you had @ 5 min avg pool speed it would go a long way for a miner to see the pool react to his miner he just put on.

yeah you could do current hash rate for miner and pool at 15 minutes  or 10 minutes or 5 minutes.

and do a 40 hour average each shift.  mark the numbers clearly.

also someone  did huge rentals at west and nice hash.  driving price  way up  so I am reducing my hash rental…  my average is up to 12th  since 120 th for 1 shift of 4 hours averages to 12 over 40 hours.   the pool average is up to 87 th but in about 1 hour I am sure it will go will past 100th.

we are at  103.73 th for the pool over the last 40 hours

I am averaging about 13.89 th

so 13.89/ 103.73 = 0.1339

0.1339 x 25 btc = 3.3476 btc if we hit a block right now .  and  if I hit the block a 2 btc bonus = 5.3 btc

my risk at this moment is about .25btc

I will toss a total of .45 btc at it and then quit.

I canceled my rental when I went to bed last night but have 25TH pointed back. So when the shifts "close" are those shares lost at that point, and nothing paid when a block is found?

yeah it is about a 40 hour good window.

I was going to tell the op with the pool so small he should consider stretching the shifts from 4 to 8 hours.  The logic is when you take a shot like we did with a rental our money works longer for us.

I did a rental on my own. Then ½ day later we did the three of us.

I think if he makes the pool counter show the current avg and the 40 hour avg
just like the individual miner shows the current avg and the 40 hour avg it would help his pool

I also think with the pool tiny at 100 or 125 th  he needs longer shifts. maybe 8 not 4.
So if you do a rental for a day it works longer once you stop.

I spent about .3567 btc and have about 4 hours of renting left.    My current th avg is 14.58 the pool is 105.2

my share = 14.58/105.2 x 25 coins = 3.46 coins  this will shrink fast since the rental ends in four hours.

Hi guys,

First of all, I would like to thank you all for your support and for hashing with us. We carefully analyzed all your recent thoughts and respectively made the following corrections to the pool as some of you suggested:

- pool hashrate reported on the website has been enhanced and now responds more quickly when new miners join. Basically it represents an average based on the current shift including each new share as it is submitted. So as soon as you connect a new worker, you should see the average starting to increase immediately.

- shift duration has been extended to 8 hours so more of your shares are rewarded once we find a block. This way your rentals won't be wasted if we don't hit a block soon.

Of course, any other suggestions are welcome.

Hopefully more serious miners like you join as soon as possible so we supercharge the pool and hit a block.

yeah it would help.

What I am doing is a lessor version of solo mining. solo mining is all or nothing for 25 coins.

I am 17 of 105 th or  16.2 percent of 25 coins = 4.05 coins      the upside is if I mine for 80 hours and stop I get 80 more hours of earning power.  plus a shot at 2 bonus btc .

If you believe this operator will pay this off the math dictates  to give this pool a shot.

My 17% or nothing  investment will run me around .45 coins.    With a chance to get 4.05 coins and the 2 coin bonus plus more if we hit 2 blocks.

Think of spinning a 10 number wheel  with a 1 dollar bet if you win you get  11 or 13 dollars.  most of the time you won't win  since the chance is 1 of 10 but the payoff is higher then that.    Many people say this is like a lotto no it is not.

play a 3 digit number and get 1100 for a 1 dollar bet does not exist in lotto.

State lotto gives 500 for a 1 dollar  bet and on a bonus day maybe 600.

I will continue to take a shot here until easter morning.  I may then try next week...

Guys,

For your information, we currently have a couple of miners mining hard on PPLNS. Pool hashrate at approx 200TH/s with short 800TH peaks. Most likely nicehash/weshash rentals. Looks like someone chasing a block with a 2btc bonus.

If you want to join with your rentals, now is the time for a block!!

Gonna hop over in a bit, pool is up around 330 Th/s when I checked. I was on Triplemining this moning before they shut down today and they hit two blocks back to back some something like 220. At 330 the chances have to be better and it seems long overdue.

Yep, we have several miners renting lots of THs from nicehash/westhash for short periods and it results in significant spikes in the pool hashrate up to 1.2PH
Unfortunately they are not doing this 24/7, so pool hashrate is constantly jumping up and down...

Due to lack of sufficient interest we have decided to remove the 2BTC block finder bonus for SOLO miners effective immediately.

The 2BTC block finder bonus is still available for PPLNS miners, so we encourage everyone still mining SOLO to switch to a PPLNS account and group effort into finding a block.
