Title: 1 Bitcoin BOUNTY for info on Michael Moriarty. Owner of 50+ bitcoin sites.
Post by: campycoin on July 30, 2014, 02:19:31 PM
I'm sorry if you have already seen this story but it is just incredible to me that this clown is still operating all these sites and making insane posts in this forum, all while admitting to and keeping RickyJames $80,000 in bitcoin.

I HAVE NO MONEY - BUT I HAVE PRIDE AND REFUSE TO LET THIS CLOWN MAKE A WEBSITE ABOUT ME, CALLING ME A SCAMMER AND EXTORTIONIST WHEN I'VE NEVER TAKEN A BIT FROM ANYONE AND HE HAS ADMITTED TO STEALING, AND KEEPING 127 BTC WHILE ALSO CLAIMING, "$80k is nothing to me, I have 50,000 bitcoins"

Michael Moriarty is a joke! My goal is simple... I want him to pay back the money he stole or to go to jail for the crime he has committed. I really don't care which one. You can checkout http://antilyze.com for full details but I will try and keep this post short as possible and clear.

1. I (JC) write an article, an interview about Dr. Michael Moriarty PhD (MM) and his network on CyptoCoinsNews, where I work as a journalist. I praise MM for being a bitcoin advocate and in the article he shits on Coinbase and Circle etc. calling them Ponzi schemes and in bed with the Federal Reserve etc.

2. BitcoinTalk user "RickyJames" (RJ) sees the interview and uses MM site "bitlaunder.com" to deposit about 132btc for mixing. After the coin is not returned for 24 hours, RJ tries to email MM but gets no response. RJ tries support requests and more emails and all go unanswered.

3. RJ emails me and asks if I will try and contact MM as I did the interview. I say okay. At first, I assume RJ is full of shit. So, I email MM as to why I have a customer claiming $80,000 in losses at his site. MM returns my email saying he never heard of RJ, knows nothing of the situation.

4. RJ emails me a PDF of proof (pdf available at http://www.antilyze.com/work.html) which includes the address he paid the coin to, I check MM site and indeed that is the pay to address and when checking blockchain, RJ's proof holds up. Now I'm thinking, "Okay MM, where is this 80k?"

5. MM emails me and says he can confirm user RJ sent 125 btc and withdraws 123 btc. Claims RJ is a scammer-extortionist and not to worry about him. He also gives me the bitlaunder "payout address" of 1DDWEQM11uMUKiqpGEWvBT2at3CjCw3Vra (1DD) I again check the blockchain and see the money go from RJ to MM then from MM to 1DD. From 1DD there is never a payout of anything close to 123 btc. So, I simply ask MM for a transaction id. MM emails me copies of emails of him "taking care" of customers and says, "now, do I look like a scammer? I have no need for his 125 btc, I have over 50,000 bitcoins"

6. This seems crazy, I email Michael and again ask, "MM, this is simple, I need the payout trx id so I can get RJ off my back. Where are his coins?" I tell him that RJ will go to the feds soon, he really should give me the info.

7. MM then says that if RJ goes to the Feds that RJ will be arrested because the coins are dirty and stolen. Then asks me, "Why would you send someone 125 btc and need them cleaned in 24 hours? Why so quickly? Because they are stolen or hacked that's why"

8. I email MM and tell him he is actually wrong. I say that RJ is clean and so are the coins. At this point I'm shocked! How can MM play cop? He runs a launder site and chooses when to send coins back to the customer? That is theft!

9. MM emails back and asks to see the proof that RJ and his coins are clean... which I provide him. MM writes back and says that he has checked into RJ and I am right, that RJ and his coins are clean and so he will get them back shortly. Wants RJ to email him with btc address and an agreement that once the 125 btc is returned, that the case is closed.

10. RJ emails MM as requested and MM confirms and says he will send a test transaction for 0.01 btc and then the rest. MM sends 0.01 and then shows his true colors by KEEPING THE REST!

He has never sent the rest of the stolen btc. Again, for copies of all emails, see http://antilyze.com - I understand it sounds crazy but it is the truth. MM admits he has the coins, then just refuses to give them back.

The day after he was supposed to send the 125 btc and did not, MM posts in the forum that he has opened hotbitcoins.com and has decided to "Give Away Free Bitcoin" but fails to respond to any email from JC or RJ about the stolen coins. Then yesterday, he responds to a thread concerning the safety of investing in btc and says,

I just invested $400,000 into Bitcoin

proof: 1DDWEQM11uMUKiqpGEWvBT2at3CjCw3Vra

Like an idiot, he shows the address that he has already told me is the bitlaunder payout address. So, when users send him coin, and he mixes them and then either does or does not (in the case of RJ) return them to the customer, he is claiming that as proof of his btc investments. He is a laughable clown! Those are users of your site depositing coin that you are to pay them out with... that isn't investing you fraudulent scumbag.

Since this all began, MM has continued operating all his scam sites including but not limited to:

bitwebhosting.com,
elaunder.com,
bitbuzzer.com,
btwager.com,
btcstakes.com,
bitflippa.com,

There is no reason for him not to repay RJ.

MY MISTAKE:
In the course of my emails with MM and trying to get him to admit that he had RJ's coins, I sent an email from another email account (same IP) in which I even signed the email JC. He was supposed to know it was me, but I was trying to get him to admit that he had the coins. This was before he ever claimed they must be stolen or flat out said that he still held him. In my email I said, "I know what you've done, so to keep me quiet, I need 20 btc." I admit now, that wasn't the best idea but I was always in contact with RJ and had MM decided to send the 20 btc, I would have sent it to RJ immediately and with it, the obvious fact that MM has admitted to stealing the coins.

Ultimately, he did admit it and turned down the 20 btc offer, instead trying to bribe me by asking me to ignore RJ and to work for him writing positive articles about his site for 3 btc a month. (Hmmmm, wonder where he will get these 3 btc a month) I turn him down and say no way, this ends only when RJ is paid back. Well, instead MM makes a site named after my name http://jerancampanella.com and claims there that I am a scammer extortionist.

for more information on the blackmail/domain hijack, see http://JeranCampanella.com

What an asshole! Claims I was fired from my job at CCN for writing lies about MM, claims that my house is in foreclosure and that I am scamming bitcoin businesses. Those are all huge lies. I still work for CCN, and had an article published yesterday. My home is not in foreclosure and I have never tried any scam or even thought about screwing any other human. I believe in what is right. I live by the Golden Rule. And if I stole $80k, well I can't see having a problem with someone who tried to "extort" me into returning what I had stole. Sounds like a good person in my mind. But, now I'm the bad guy.

This must stop. I am trying to recover funds for RJ. I wanted nothing out of this. But at this point, I want MM to pay Ricky back or pay by going to jail for running a scam operation. In the interview he slammed Coinbase and Circle for their practices and for them wanting to know your private info. On his sites he makes the following claims:

Customer service is available 24/7 by our support ticket system and we usually respond within hours. (He never got back to RJ. He only responded to my inquiries)

If you make money speculating, you may incur 'capital gains taxes' in your country. However, we DO NOT report to any revenue agency or government, nor would we comply with official requests for information. Whether you choose to pay taxes on your profits is your business. (Illegal)

Our privacy policy ensures we do not share information with third parties, including governments or revenue agencies, under any circumstances. Nor do we retain client information or IP logs beyond what is necessary to service your account. We protect your privacy and anonymity by not storing IP logs or personal information. Nor do we respond to requests to divulge such information. No personal identifying information is required to sign up, and no IP logs are maintained for the site. We could not identify you to third parties under any circumstances. We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential.

We will NOT comply with any court order for information pertaining to our clients, nor will we comply with any government request (of any country) for information about our clients.

Then after those statements he states,

"We may release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others rights, property, or safety. However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses." (Hmmmm conflicting much?)

Moral here is that MM is a scumbag. He has tried to scare me into backing down with repeated threats of what will happen if I don't "get back to my life." He has also offered me bribes for ignoring RJ and "getting back to my life."

I will DO NO SUCH THING since they all involve letting him steal $80,000. He has made a recent post on the forum and at jerancampanella.com saying some of his sites have been reported by me and that my claims are "factless." Again, please see http://antilyze where every bit of proof is found. Also see RJ's most recent post here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=713699.0

It is VERY true that I have been and will continue reporting every single site he owns. I have already had all his sites listed on badbitcoin.org. Why can't he simply stop being a douchebag and return the $80,000 he flat out stole from RJ?

Here is a few reasons perhaps...
  • He is not a Doctor in any way. He is a school boy thief who lives with Mommy
  • You are not Michael Moriarty, and you are not a criminal mastermind like the Moriarty in Sherlock Holmes. He is a character, and this is real life... scam artists like this ass and others like Karpeles will ultimately pay for his actions.
  • He is not a PhD from Stanford. He might have a PhD in being a scammy piece of shit however. He registers all his sites under a pseudonym. He registers them under a "mailing center" or fake addresses and uses fake phone numbers that do not work.
  • He is a total scam artist attempting to operate a business with a refusal to remain transparent because of the fact that on occasion he sees a need to steal his customers money.

If you operated your business Mr. Michael Whateveryournameis, like the businesses you hate, Coinbase, Circle, etc. you would not be able to steal, because these companies are owned and operated by legit business owners who follow laws which help protect their customers, and include accountability. You have none of these things. What you do have is nothing more than a movie poster as your identity and the identity of the owner of your company. This allows your customers no redress in the event, such as RJ, of theft of their money when entrusting it to one of your many sites.

BTCOUNTY - REWARD - BTCOUNTY - REWARD

I OFFICIALLY AM OFFERING ALL I CAN TO HELP CATCH THIS SCAMMY SCHOOL BOY. THE BOUNTY WILL BE PAID FOR INFO HELPING TO BRING MM TO JUSTICE OR TO PAY WHAT HE HAS STOLEN. My Bounty on MM is 1 btc.

I'm available for chat at http://antilyze.com I am not hard to find. I'm not hiding like the con man MM. I'm not the piece of shit and if after reading this you think MM is anything but a piece of shit, then I suggest you look in the mirror.

Would appreciate comments or any help or ideas on how we get this no good scammer running a scam operation that has probably turned thousands off bitcoin with his theft.

See below more sites that talk about this loser MM.

Thanks for taking the time to read this. PLEASE SPREAD IT EVERYWHERE YOU CAN. I have no idea how he thinks it is okay to steal 80k and then take my name and create a site that calls me a scammer when I have zero. I never did this for any money! I was at first, clearing MM's name and once I realized what happened, I tried to recover the money from RJ. Instead, I'm hung out to dry while MM flashes his new sites around and calls me a scammer.

THANKS AGAIN - And to those of you who are in the bitcoin community for the right reasons, please do anything you can to spread the word.  Tweet, Facebook, or email him like crazy calling for the return of RJ's money. He has no right to steal $8 let alone $80k

And Michael, I'm not afraid of you. You know my address. Come do something besides sit in your basement hiding like a pathetic scammy clown. I'm not hiding. That's the luxury of operating with transparency. You don't need to register all your sites under fake names and pretend you have a PhD and pretend you went to Stanford. You are simply pathetic, and it shows every single day you let this drag on rather than allowing us all to return to our lives. I know you don't have one, no girl would ever be with a coward. But in case you did not know, Ricky and I have shit to do. So, end this fucking game and return the money you stole, admitted to stealing, and still possess. Or enjoy your last few weeks of freedom... it is coming to an end.

Thanks, I'll look into it.  I don't think that's him. I'll check domaintools history in a few minutes.  Perhaps he used to own that domain. I'll see if he sold it or if I made a mistake listing bitsecurity.

We've been there, done that...

But it would be helpful for you to email him and tell him he is a no good scamming piece of trash!

I really appreciate your help and concern.  Moriarty seems to think that we can't hurt his business in the forum. So, everyone who seraches and seeks and emails or comments should show him that he needs to pay back RJ the $80,000.  He really feels like he is untouchable. I just want it to be over but obviously no such luck. We are almost at a month now. All I've got to show for it is some threats and about 25 hours of lost time. I'm "all-in" at this point. I can't let him continue taking people's hard earned money without a care in the world.

Thanks again

No, it is clearly NOT his real name.

It is his little fake name.

All his sites and all his profiles and social sites are all under

DR. MICHAEL MORIARTY PhD

He is not a doctor, or named Michael Moriarty, or a PhD

For laughs....  Moriarty being a scammy low life

Fun Emails

Have you ever seen an asshole up close?
Take a look at this email.  So remember, RickyJames sends $80,000 to bitlaunder. Waits 24 hours. Then emails.  Then sends support emails and opens support tickets. He continues to send emails for 4 days until he finally emails me to try and contact Moriarty. Moriarty denies knowing anything about this large deposit, then kinda remembers it, then recalls he kept it because they were hacked coins, then realizes they aren't, then agrees to give them back....  You'd assume with an apology right?
Let's read....

http://www.use.com/images/s_5/sorted/2014_07_30_1_7e7f943c3f624ac9baf3_4.jpg?is=true&ps=true&rand=287957796826

So, Moriarty decided he would return his coins today. BUT Moriarty is very clear RJ is paying that 3% fee for all the days Michael just sat there and didn't do shit!  So here are the 3 reasons that Michael Moriarty is not refunding ALL his bitcoin...
1. He is threatening me.  (You did steal $80k you know)
2. He is impatient!  (Makes sense, site says 24 hours, you responded to a journalist after 4, then took 4 more days to admit you had em..  I agree- impatient!  Jeeezus!
3. Never once sent him an email befor throwing 127 btc into a pool of 5. (Cause the site clearly says jack shit about a limit or pool size)
Makes sense, RickyJames is a dickface, Moriarty is God.

Here Moriarty is so kind after 2 weeks of holding Ricky James coins to say, well he sent 127 he is only getting 125 back, 3% Fee. So, he was paid to steal.  What a great guy this Michael Moriarty.

http://www.use.com/images/s_5/sorted/2014_07_30_1_7e7f943c3f624ac9baf3_1.jpg?is=true&ps=true&rand=84400713210

Here is where he flat out admits it. Says he followed my evidence and agrees, Ricky James and his coins are clean. SO he says he will be getting them back.  SPOILER ALERT: He sent 0.01 and stole $80,000

http://www.use.com/images/s_5/sorted/2014_07_30_1_7e7f943c3f624ac9baf3_5.jpg?is=true&ps=true&rand=430935487849

If you are wondering how this all could have been avoided, lets checkin and see Michael's answer.  He is the king of logical...
"This all could have been avoided if RJ only would have sent an email before overwhelming the pool.  But what's done is done.  Yes!  It is so simple!  Email before overwhelming the pool.  SO AFTER ALL THIS YOU DO REALIZE RIGHT.....

Michael has returned 0.01 of the 127.00 btc he owes Ricky.

Please email him at moriarty.bitcoin@gmail.com and tell him he is a pathetic scammy pussy!

Am I missing something?

How does this guy in any way tie to Michael Moriarty?

Moriarty is the owner of the Bitcoin Network which consists of 50+ bitcoin sites.

I could be blind but I see no connections between the two

Help me out!

I think we should delete the postings that are talking about Michael Todd unless someone shows a connection other than they are both named Michael.

Yea I don't see any connection at all and if people are just throwing it out randomly then that's silly and detracts from the actual point here.

Even worse... he wins those auctions, and goes and puts up another site.  He honestly think we can't hurt him with these forum posts and so far he is right

When you are told to go do an interview on someone like I was, how much digging do you think I should do?

Did you check before posting that link to see if I had done the proper amount of fact digging?

What am I supposed to do? Run a background check?  To be honest, your post has upset me.  I have felt so bad about my article that I have spent a month trying to recover these funds for Ricky.  But who is the asshole here?  Who should have to re-evaluate their methods?  Duhhhhhhh  MORIARTY the FAKE the FRAUD

I always do a google search on an interviewee.  There he is shown with all his active social links and his network of 50+ bitcoin sites.  I check a few sites and they all are running and everything looks good.  I checked his LinkedIn.   He is a Doctor. He has many connections and is the organizer of 3 bitcoin meetups. He has a PhD from Stanford.  Has eight FT employees.  So, please tell me b!z all knowing arm chair QB.... what would you have done different?

If he plan to eventually scam people, he really would have to create fake profiles/aliases. And this I think is what he had done here. Heck he probably have fake his name on namecheap/godaddy so even if you pay much money for whois, you'd be prompt with fake name still.

Well, because if he is then he is using a fake name.  And I am pretty sure that no real Doctor would use a fake name behind their "Doctor" title and before PhD...

He has no PhD from Stanford as his LinkedIn shows....

Stanford has confirmed two things....

1. No PhD from Stanford has been issued to a Michael Moriarty and
2. No Michael Moriarty has ever had a thesis posted in the United States (required for PhD)

He is nothing more than a scammer and a total clown.  I've never been so upset in my whole life.  The lies he is posting on jerancampanella.com are outrageous.  But how do you sue a fake person?

You know what... I probably wouldn't be going through this if it was anyone else.  I wrote the interview and after 4 days of Ricky's money being lost and no response from Michael, Ricky wrote me a calm nice email asking if I'd help him get in contact with Moriarty.

He is a great guy and got screwed.

I hadn't heard of moriarty until the moment he PMed me a message on #bitcoin-otc asking me to join a channel.

As usual, I posted the PM in public to point out that he was obviously mass PMing / spamming. This is what happened next (grepped 'moriarty' from the logs for easier reading)

Quote

12:56 < moriarty> btcfaucet, that is true, i usually look at gox
12:56 < moriarty> btcfaucet, what payment methods do you have access to?
12:59 < moriarty> btcfaucet, as mentioned, escrow, you can then pay via wire transfer
13:00 < moriarty> btcfaucet, for 1k bitcoin, it would not be feasible to do it any other way
13:00 <+Apocalyptic> <moriarty> i would sell to Anoxy if i still had any BTC left
13:00 <+Apocalyptic> <moriarty> i have 1k bitcoins that i would like to offload
13:00 < Anoxy> moriarty: didnt you tell me that you didnt have any btc?
13:00 < moriarty> Anoxy, i don't :)
13:01 < moriarty> i was testing to see if there was any exchange in here large enough to accept
13:01 < moriarty> doesn't look like it unfortunately
13:01 < CambioBTC> moriarty: That's the problem with BTC, LARGE Trades are almost next to IMPOSSIBLE
13:01 < moriarty> CambioBTC, i know, the last time i did that was a headache
13:02 < moriarty> CambioBTC, i don't want to get into BTC again if it's still the same
13:02 < CambioBTC> moriarty: Guess that's why they call it COIN, LOL
13:02 < moriarty> CambioBTC, it took me ages to buy 100k worth of BTC, one month later i sold 150k of it, and that was even more painful
13:02 < moriarty> CambioBTC, what i did was spread my buy and sell across exchanges, not on here, but in person
13:03 < moriarty> CambioBTC, that was no fun
13:04 < moriarty> CambioBTC, heh do it over websites and in person, it's easier
13:06 < CambioBTC> moriarty: Yep, I'm thinking that LocalBitCoins.com could work using their Escrow, and or CoinBase in that CoinBase will honor the market order placed even if they don't deliver your coin at that exact moment.
13:06 < moriarty> CambioBTC, let me check those out, thanks
13:06 < CambioBTC> moriarty: Good Luck
13:07 < moriarty> Rmccoy, why so slow?
13:09 < moriarty> omg, don't tell me they want your bank account proof, your driver's license etc
13:09 < moriarty> lol even my broker don't ask me for that level of detail
13:09 < moriarty> i can see now why bitcoins is relegated to small-time trading
13:09 < moriarty> those with money who cannot afford to wait will just skip bitcoins in favour of something else
13:10 < CambioBTC> moriarty: CoinBase identification is different, they ask for your last four SSN, then question appear that you have to answer correctly, if you pass, great, if not you can try again in 24hr
13:11 < moriarty> CambioBTC, ah right, so that means it's only for US citizens
13:11 < moriarty> CambioBTC, unfortunately i'm from the UK so...

I'm confused as to how anyone didn't see this coming. His random bullshit reminds me of this guy:

A couple more things...

As I've mentioned, my interaction with moriarty is limited to the above public chat (and seeing him PM spam a few more times weeks or months later), but I googled a bit. Let me share my $0.02.

http://tedjonesweb.blogspot.com/2014/01/bitplasticcom-scam-bitplastic-bitcoin.html

As soon as I saw those testimonial videos I knew they were from Fiverr.

I also notice that moriarty has posted a supposed extortion email (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=713699.msg8145113#msg8145113) on the forum just now. I'm pretty sure it's a fake email. Let me explain how I think this works.

Basically with regular scammers they get outed and leave, come back with a new nick, IP, OTC registration...

With long-con scammers like Lemon (http://btcfaucet.com/logs/lemon.txt) (who had a supposed bitcoin exchange coming up (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=176756.80), UK limited companies and a bunch of domains), it's harder to just leave everything behind, or should I say less efficient. Are you kidding? Those are some good domain names. As long as he keeps posting 'evidence' it's just confusion and more potential people believing his side and sending coins to those services.

But trying to delay the inevitable to scam more coins isn't the only thing at play here. If you'll read the chatlog above from #bitcoin-otc that I posted in my previous reply, it should be clear to anyone with reason that he likes to troll (much like SupaDupaJenkins (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=575743.0;all) or FuckingFaggot). Even after it will become obvious to EVERYONE that he's a scammer, he'll keep on doing it for a while longer just to annoy people who know he's a scammer and screw with anyone who gives it even 1% chance that he may be legitimate. With all the coin he has stolen he can afford to play games. Games he likes - such as trolling the fuck out of a community. Remember how Lemon kept saying he couldn't repay the bitcoins because he was in hospital with salmon poisoning? That later turned into 'heart issues'? And then posting some hospital photo as evidence? And saying he was just about to send the coins and was just waiting for his client to sync? It's the same shit all over again, with all of these long con scammers.

One more thing Lemon (http://btcfaucet.com/logs/lemon.txt) and Bitscotty (http://btcfaucet.com/logs/bitscotty/bitscotty.txt) (equipment seized by Durham police very recently) also used to do is refund coins or deliver something every now and then. Fake Fiverr testimonial videos are nice, but there's nothing better than the real thing. Like ripping off 5 people, having 2 complain publicly and have 1 say they received the item. Don't fall for this old technique. Or the one where he simply says that he has thousands of satisfied clients. When someone has thousands of satisfied clients, there's actual evidence to back it up, not just the scammer making this claim.

Based on reading the accusations as well as the text on his own websites, it's kind of obvious that moriarty isn't his real name, he doesn't have a PhD and the Bitcoin Network - or whatever its name is - is more like a Bitcoin Blackhole Network.

And moriarty = a sociopath.

Just so you all know who we are dealing with here....

In my attempts to do what is right and recover the 127 btc for Ricky James, I have had a lot of negative enter my life.

On the site jerancampanella.com, my personal details including my family members and my home address have been posted.

I got an email today from a previous employer saying they received an email from Michael that I am an extortionist and a scammer.

My current employer is looking into allegations by Michael Moriarty that I am a scam artist who is attempting to scam hard working bitcoin from businesses and will stop at nothing to get what I want.

For someone who has always done what I think is right and live by the Golden Rule, this is very upsetting. My wife and my son, my parents and employers do not in any way deserve what my dealing with Moriarty have brought upon me and them.

I ask for anyone who can, to please do anything they can to assist me in my fight. Michael has emailed me that he will continue to make my life a living hell unless I get back to my life. That would be smart, and I know that. But, I can't. I really wish I could because he never stole money from me (not counting the month of lost work from chasing his scam butt all around and making antilyze.com) but I just don't think I can.  You can't scam, steal, then threaten as this is a recipe for much of the same to be continued.

I would appreciate anyone who agrees with simply emailing moriarty.bitcoin@gmail.com and telling him how you feel about what he has done to RickyJames, myself and the bitcoin community.

Also, if anyone has a friend or family member with any police or hacking community connections that believe in what is right to contact me. Possibly they hate scum and like to eliminate it as much as I do.

Thanks for your support.

BTW I'm not FuckingFaggot nor do I know Who in the fuck that is  ???

Just so you guys know, all domains must have correct contact information. If the registrar doesn't have a contact page with that option specifically, just contact their abuse email address.

Report all of his domains for having incorrect contact information. Problem solved.

If you mean on WhoIs then that is incorrect you can buy proxy contact info for about $10 per year. If you mean the registrar has legit info that is not true as you dont need to be ID verified.

By "Correct Contact Info" all they mean is a working email.

When trying to get his sites shut down, all registrars came back saying "Owner of sites responded to our emails and denied any wrongdoing."

So- you can have fake name, fake business, fake address, fake phone and as long as you respond to the email in 3 days or less, you are fine.

But it's all good. We are making strides towards ending this fiasco. Moriarty should have done as we requested because now he has some super smart ass hackers on his tail and in 30 minutes they gave me more info then I found in a month.  Bad boys, bad boys... what you gonna do

No. If he's not using a privacy service and he has incorrect contact information, you report him for having the wrong phone number, address, or even real name listed. If he adds a phone number, you call it and check if it's real. If it's still a fake, you report it again and it's likely that he'll have his domain suspended after that.

24 mixing and 2 withdrawal requests were made by RJ.  One wallet was specified for two separate mixes due to an error in entering its correct amount on the first try.  Thus there are 27 "2fa" links for 26 requests.   Of the 24 mixing requests RJ specified, MM only filled 1 of them:

ID 525 for 1.379791050 BTC at 2014-06-25 03:32:40 to wallet 1DX6ZhrZk1bJ4GSkk7rvZerrH3eDz1K8mt, as verified by the link below:

Note that this single mixing request fulfilled is the smallest one specified in the list of 24 given above.
Of the 2 refund requests RJ specified, MM only filled 1 of them:

Note that this single refund request fulfilled is the smallest one specified in the list of 2 given above. The claim that the 2nd of RJ's refund requests has NOT been filled by MM can be verified by examining the "CrMY" link above, which does NOT show a 1.069484731 BTC deposit of unmixed coins by MM in the time period of June 24 to the present.

The claim that 23 of RJ's mixing requests have NOT been filled by MM can be verified by examining each of the wallet address links below, which do NOT show any requested deposit of mixed coins by MM in the time period of June 24 to the present:

With the processing of just the single mixing request and just the single refund request outlined above,

RJ hereby claims that MM owes RJ 126.963999661 BTC and has not yet transferred it to the agreed-upon RJ-controlled "RiQ" wallet.
MM eventually responded to JC:

MM says clearly after pointing out that RJ coins were dirty, and JC responds by saying that they are clean coins,

"I checked into 'rickyjames' on both bitcointalk and NXTforum and, you're right, he [RJ] is legit and his coins are legit, so he will be getting them back shortly."

MM told JC to have RJ write him an email with the address for payout and a written statement that the issue would be closed.

RJ wrote to MM on Sun, 6 Jul 2014 18:16:18,
"Hello Michael -
Thank you for your ongoing dialogue with Jeran Campanella.  He [JC] has told me [RJ] that you [MM] want a bitcoin address to send me 125 BTC and achieve closure on our Bitlaunder situation.

Please use the address I [RJ] used to deposit most / all of my coins at Bitlaunder: 1NcRZFL6NRz4XS8o1JEJnFVvGQn8WD8RiQ

MM wrote to RJ at Sun, 6 Jul 2014 18:40:33:

"I am sending 0.01 to that address just to ensure you copy-pasted the correct address.  Please confirm receipt of this small amount.

It would be a real tragedy to send 125btc to the wrong person! MM"

MM DID transfer an initial 0.01 BTC  to RJ-controlled wallet "RiQ" as its most recent transaction, as can be verified at the link below:

https://blockchain.info/address/1NcRZFL6NRz4XS8o1JEJnFVvGQn8WD8RiQ

RJ wrote to MM at 6 Jul 2014 19:13:26:

"I appreciate your caution.  Test amount received, see attached."

MM wrote to RJ on Sun, 6 Jul 2014 19:16:06:

"Ok, one sec.  Will take maybe thirty minutes in total as these funds are stored in offline wallets.  Sending now".

MM DID NOT transfer a subsequent 126.963999661  BTC to RJ-controlled wallet "RiQ", as can be verified at the link below:

https://blockchain.info/address/1NcRZFL6NRz4XS8o1JEJnFVvGQn8WD8RiQ  (https://blockchain.info/address/1NcRZFL6NRz4XS8o1JEJnFVvGQn8WD8RiQ)

OKAY MORIARTY.... LETS HEAR IT SINCE YOU TAKE CARE OF ALL YOUR CUSTOMERS....    WHERE ARE RJ'S 127 BTC??

Nope, I never scammed anyone.  If you have a complaint against me, simply post the following info so I can help:

WEBSITE
USERNAME
COMPLAINT/ISSUE

I resolve all issues publicly, so feel free to raise your concerns here in this thread, and I'll do whatever I can to help.  I support my sites and my customers 110%.

Anyone else surprised that Moriarty hasn't shown up here to "resolve this issue publicly"?

He does whatever he can to help!  He said so himself!  He supports his scam sites and his unlucky customers 110%, by stealing every penny he can.

Clearly this must be a stand-up guy who puts a fake "Doctor" in front of his name and claims to have a PhD from Stanford..... YOU WISH CLOWN!

OH... I got it now. SCAMFORD, The #1 School of douchebags and patheticness.  Moriarty you surely, were the Vala-DICK-torian.

Funny imposter. I don't use bitcoin-otc, IRC or any kind of silly chat.

Still waiting for your response...  NO ONE CARES ABOUT AN EXTORTION ATTEMPT OF 20BTC

We all are wondering about the 127 btc you stole from Ricky James

The amount of spam I'm receiving from this dude's operations is growing steadily ... he's the "meetup organizer" for meetup groups in more than a half dozen cities (including L.A., San Francisco, and .... Vancouver ... that's a red flag), and I see nonstop spam/announcements from his other sites I joined to monitor.   This is getting worrisome ... is he pulling a long con?

I remember meeting a guy in Vancouver. He bought some BTC from me. He promoted Moriarty's websites (oh whom I hadn't heard before) and actually asked me to join.

1st meeting: "Have you heard of Dr. Michael Moriarty? He has a network of 50 websites, various businesses. You seem like a bright guy, he could use your help."

While at home I google the guy and a few of his websites and immediately got a red flag feeling.

2nd meeting: "So have you checked out those websites?" I said yes and I just said wasn't really interested, no particular reason. I haven't seen the guy ever since.

But I made a clear mental picture of him. He is of average height, maybe 5'8", semi-long hair (light or ginger-ish), slim, some freckles (as far as I remember, not sure now). He was dressed extravagantly in a French-looking manner, French hat (a beret). Here's an image of that guy's clothing style (pretty close): http://www.beinglovingdoing.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/dgm2.jpg

Now, I'm not claiming he is Moriarty or his employee. Just something I remembered while reading this thread. Maybe some of you have come across him, too.

Thanks for helping out.  I get the same mass emails and they are all nothing but garbage.  He flat out stole $80,000 and even made a site in my real name to try and shame me for coming after him.  I'm not sure what else we are going to do for now...

LOL #reddcoin. What a surprise.
