With the championship title, MaSa has claimed a massive chunk of the prize pool: 35,000 MIN and US $100. The amount allocated to the champion was originally just 25,000 MIN, but partway through today's event, a cryptocurrency enthusiast by the name of Bitcometrader donated 10,000 MIN to the winner of the tournament, and mind you, that currently carries nearly a $75 value!
The Immortals Minerals Invitational was certainly a strange ride for MaSa as he originally found himself forfeiting midway through on Saturday due to internet troubles. Fortunately for him, a spot in the RO8 opened up as Millenium's Dayshi had to bow out of the event due to his being stuck in Paris for the day and unable to participate, and it's safe to say MaSa took full advantage of his second chance. He cruised to three convincing match victories over fellow pro players DIMAGA, hendralisk, and HuK, never dropping a single match, and proving himself a force to be reckoned with as far as the foreign Starcraft II scene is concerned. Actual real world usage for the coin, not just some scammy 10 line post promising this and that. Minerals are being used for e sports matches and this first tournament coming up is a debut into the world of e sports. Payouts are super fast, like instantly after the match finishes and its pretty bloody exciting when you have actual money on the line :) And for people who aren't familiar with the StarCraft scene I endeavor them to do a little research on the pro's playing this weekend. These people make a pretty decent living from this and the significance of the Minerals team and the Immortals team to have these players in the tournament is pretty bloody huge. With the championship title, MaSa has claimed a massive chunk of the prize pool: 35,000 MIN and US $100. The amount allocated to the champion was originally just 25,000 MIN, but partway through today's event, a cryptocurrency enthusiast by the name of Bitcometrader donated 10,000 MIN to the winner of the tournament, and mind you, that currently carries nearly a $75 value!
The Immortals Minerals Invitational was certainly a strange ride for MaSa as he originally found himself forfeiting midway through on Saturday due to internet troubles. Fortunately for him, a spot in the RO8 opened up as Millenium's Dayshi had to bow out of the event due to his being stuck in Paris for the day and unable to participate, and it's safe to say MaSa took full advantage of his second chance. He cruised to three convincing match victories over fellow pro players DIMAGA, hendralisk, and HuK, never dropping a single match, and proving himself a force to be reckoned with as far as the foreign Starcraft II scene is concerned. |
