ROOT Gaming's MaSa rode his consistently strong gameplay throughout the winners bracket of the RO8 double elimination to a victory over Evil Geniuses' HuK in a convincing 3-1 Grand Finals victory. With the championship title, MaSa has claimed a massive chunk of the prize pool: 35,000 MIN and US $100. The amount allocated to the champion was originally just 25,000 MIN, but partway through today's event, a cryptocurrency enthusiast by the name of Bitcometrader donated 10,000 MIN to the winner of the tournament, and mind you, that currently carries nearly a $75 value!
The Immortals Minerals Invitational was certainly a strange ride for MaSa as he originally found himself forfeiting midway through on Saturday due to internet troubles. Fortunately for him, a spot in the RO8 opened up as Millenium's Dayshi had to bow out of the event due to his being stuck in Paris for the day and unable to participate, and it's safe to say MaSa took full advantage of his second chance. He cruised to three convincing match victories over fellow pro players DIMAGA, hendralisk, and HuK, never dropping a single match, and proving himself a force to be reckoned with as far as the foreign Starcraft II scene is concerned.

This is an exciting Starcraft II event featuring six of the best players in the world and an open bracket to give 128 players a chance to play against their favorite pros. The tournament will be supported by a prize pool featuring a lucrative combination of both USD and Minerals.
This event will begin at 10:00AM Pacific Daylight Time (UTC -7:00) on Saturday, August 2nd. Coverage will be provided by The Droopytown Network on Twitch.tv with matches casted by Droopy, the caster for Immortals eSports.
The round robin will have the invitees play two matches with each other for a total of 10 games per player. The top four players with the best record will move on to the Round Of 8. Tiebreakers between two players will be best of three, between three players best of 1, and between four players a GSL round robin will take place.
