is coinbase.com is good site i have heard that site is not working properly...? is there any other site we can get good wallet without any problems......?

I would highly recommend against using a web wallet due to its inherently insecure nature, but if you have to I'd say go with Blockchain's one - just make sure you add 2FA and have a secure password.

yes thats good blockchain you should try . dont forget to set 2fa for your account . and makessure your device not in infected.

You won't have control of your private keys on exchange wallets like coinbase, and so it is not a good idea to store your bitcoin there IMO.
Try blockchain.info, and even better an offline wallet.

It seems to me you have misunderstood the term "offline wallet".

For offline wallet (cold storage), your private keys should be generated offline and should never be placed in any device that is connecting or will connect to the Internet.

Use a wallet you download. A program that is the wallet. It generates a key (which has a respective bitcoin address) that's being used to spend the Bitcoins you receive in the bitcoin address of the key. That way only you can tell your Bitcoin where to go.
Bitcoin is trying to liberate people from having to rely on a bank, and still they ask where bitcoin banks are.

I would start with a full node like "bitcoin core". It takes a lot of memory and space, but offers the highest level of control over your coins. Until you understand bitcoin you may want to avoid any kind of shared wallet. Those online systems are only as good as the website operators. If they are incompetent or criminal minded, your coins could be taken and there is nothing anyone can do to get them back.

Keep it simple.

The best best is the Bitcoin wallet you download yourself but if your looking for a online wallet I recommend Blockchain.info based on my personal experience with the site.  Their a a few good options and I'd suggest taking the time to decide which is best for you.  You'll get a good idea of the best options from the replies in this thread.

Coinbase one should be ok as they have to comply with US law.

Coinbase has always worked well for me and if you have a question about their service they are very quick to respond.

I recently asked them about the risk of not providing the private key's for wallets to the account holder and the risk that poses if they should go bankrupt. The answer was quick, honest, and offered to escalate the question if i found the answer to not be sufficient.

I also like Coinbase's user interface...although the mobile app needs some work and they don't tally the value of all wallets, which would be a nice convenience.

The risk of keeping your bitcoin address and private keys on paper at home is only slightly less risky than with an online wallet. Paper is more fragile than the internet, although it's certainly more private.

There's solutions for that "fragility" or "house burns down" scenarios.

I'd only say use BlockChain.info to test out Bitcoin. At some point (or when you have enough funds you aren't willing to risk) I would switch over to something like a paper wallet.

The problem with online wallets is that they can be a scam or attacked. This has happened in the past with some online wallets. If you do go with online wallets I'd suggest using one of the big names.

 I'd recommend using a desktop wallet such as Multibit https://www.multibit.org/ (https://www.multibit.org/) or Electrum  https://electrum.org/ (https://electrum.org/) simply because in this case you control the money, they're easy to use.

I'm using blockchain.info wallet, although when I will have bigger amount, I'll switch to cold storage probably.

I use only blockchain.info, coinbase is US based and I don't think it is good.

If you use online wallets, backup your private keys, in case something happens with the site.

Don't get a wallet on some website! It's like putting your Bitcoins in some kind of regular bank! Download a 'real' wallet that stores your Bitcoin on your computer or a paper wallet. If you aren't the only one who's owning the private key to your Bitcoins, you don't really own them at all!

I personally use blockchain.info wallet with 0.5 BTC, and I like them a lot. Their wallet has lots of features. I do use xapo.com to hold the majority of my funds for long-term storage, because if they get stolen you are insured for free (well a percent or so every year, automatically taken). I wouldn't trust web wallets with anymore than that, because someone else is actually holding your private keys, and can spend them if they want.

Can also use exchange wallet if your amount is small.

Coinbase wallet service should be safe also.

i am new to bitcoin world. i see that many people use blockchain.info. registered at this website too very quickly. quite easy to use.

Coinbase works like a bank. When you deposit bitcoin to your address, you just get a number on your account balance. So if Coinbase goes down like mtgox, you will lose your bitcoin.

If you really want to use an online wallet, you can use blockchain.info in which you are still the only one having the private keys.

oh and before you buy any bitcoins make sure to read a lot so you know how to secure bitcoins. I'd suggest, spend some time here and read about some frauds/hacks/scams and how to prevent them so you don't have to face the same faith.

it is a terrible idea to use a bookmark wallet. hackers have been stealing from password protect wallets. how hard it is going to be to steal a bookmark?

Unless you keep that bookmark offline, I recommend not to use rushwallet. it is probably the least secure without password!

IMO blockchain.info really is the best wallet service. Everything is done on the browser side and you are always in control of your private keys. Additionally you always have the option of importing your keys into another wallet service if you choose to do so and you would be able to spend your coins without issue.

Coinbase is legit. but don't use online wallets, man! Use a wallet you download on your machine! You'll want to have control over your Bitcoins yourself and don't want to rely on an online wallet that may or may not keep your coins safe or even steal them, man!

It's okay, but you shouldn't use it as a wallet. Use the original BitcoinQT client. Or some lightweight client (which doesn't have to download the whole Blockchain) like MultiBit or Electrum. Keep the control over your own coins or you don't really own them!!!

I wouldn't use coinbase to store Bitcoin there for a long time I think it's a very unstable company and wouldn't want to trust it with the recent news and discussions about its service a lot of accusations flying around.

I think it's a rather stable company. Why do you think that they're not legit or prone to go bust anytime soon??? But I agree that you'd be best off storing your Bitcoin in a wallet that runs directly on your machine, if not store them in a safe paper wallet, that's never seen the internet (I mean the private key)

If you are in a hurry, download the Electrum wallet and you can get it ready in a minute.

If you have a large fund,than it is recommended that you install a wallet on your PC or buy a vps!

If you're strictly talking about online wallets, then blockchain.info is a good choice where you have control over your private keys. (They had some security issues recently which exposed some private keys, but it has apparently been fixed now).

Otherwise I would strongly recommend getting a desktop wallet like MultiBit, which is easy to use and there's no fear of losing your coins to a website hack or fraud.

They are great choices if you want to buy or sell some bitcoin, but as a wallet, they are definitely not the best for the same reason I said above.

With the decentralized feature of bitcoin, you can be your own bank, so why send your bitcoin to someone else and hope they will keep it safely for you?

I rather recommend Coinbase. Why? There was a lot of cases in the last months, where user funds got stolen (despite 2FA!).
