At this point in time, with the coinz individual worth seems to be fairly low and with so few coins that have been mined, I doubt it would profitable for any exchanges to list. Let's hope this changes in the future  ;D

That's around 40 cents each. This coin has potential but I think you can't start on such a high price. 20 cents max I think and possibly a lot less like 10 cents which is around 0.00025 BTC.


You can mine 10 coins a day for nothing now, so in one week on one phone you can mine 70 which at 40 cents is $28 a week and $112 a month, and that's just one phone!

You are right kayden4bit that MangoCoinz needs to be on a exchanges, and we are working on it.
The main thing exchanges want to see is the blockchain (transaction list), so that they can validate coinz and transactions.
MangoCoinz has a blockchain (transaction list), but it wasn't visible till now.
We've been working on a blockchain viewer and we now have a working demo (the real blockchain, but just limited to the last 300 entries) which you can try for yourselves at: http://www.mangocoinz.com/blockchain_viewer.php
Sync, or make a transaction and you will see your username and details being stored in the MangoCoinz blockchain.
The full blockchain viewer will be finished soon.

Your MangoCoinz are safe, all you need to do is to download and log into the MangoCoinz app and all of your coinz will be synced. :D
If you have trouble logging into your account, i.e. if your phone is dead and you aren't able to sign out and you are getting the message that you are logged in somewhere else, then just say so and we will sign you out (send an email to mangocoinz@gmail.com). :D

agree, I made one, better than nothing, till the developer makes one, will lock once they do, people should find out about this coin cause it's already fully functional.


I just wanted to say IF this coin got a chat function I believe it could become the mainstream bitcoin, especially for younger generation. The big thing is you can mine easily and send to an actual username. That is worth millions!

I would disagree with lifting the daily limit, because that gives the option for people to chuck their phones into a washing machine and mine a huge amount of coinz.
But I will check with the team for a limit increase.
That is simply not fair for someone who is running every day or riding their bike. Or walking a great deal like me. :D

What do you mean by giveaways? Who will give the coinz away? I'm asking this, because MangoCoinz are ONLY generated from the data that your phone makes (accelerometer data).

If you increase the limit you will kill the coin unless you integrate the GPS of the phone into it :) Its perfect how it is. If you want more coins buy a cheap phone and double up!

Open source basically means that the source code of an application is open for everyone to see.
Open source programs are also free and usually come with a license that allows you to make your own app with that code and then you can even sell it.
Open source is also cool because it allows other people to contribute to the project and to improve it.

MangoCoinz is not open source.
Which means that you can't see the code for MangoCoinz.

I think this is a good move. such a revolutionary crypto like this needs protecting in its early life its very understandable. Hopefully by the time you release it there will be some big ideas about how to improve the coin even more. Exciting times for a fantastic new coin.

so how does the mining work i downloaded app yesterday i have 7.4 coins ;).Do you generate more coins if you have greater amount in your wallet or do you just accumalte coins at the same rate all the time ???

Same rate all the time, there is a certain limit in a day, limited coins can be mined in a day, once you reach that limit it will say limit reached try again tomorrow.

Basically how MangoCoinz works is by translating your movement energy into coinz.
But you get a proportional amount of coinz depending on the difficulty that is in the system.
The amount you get is proportional to the effort you give. :D
For now there are no bonuses for a certain amount of coinz.

The difficulty system isn't new. We've thought about it since the beginning.
Because as MangoCoinz gains more miners we need to make a balance so that the coinz don't cape out too fast.
With a lot of users mining at the mining difficulty that we have now the 16745027.00 MCZ finite limit would be achieved in a short amount of time.

So as time passes there will be a difficulty increase and a proportional limit decrease.
The sync limit will be lowered to a tested number so that with normal use it would be enough for a good day of mining.
I personally rarely even get to the 10 MCZ/day limit.

As I said we will be putting all of this info and more on our website which will hopefully be redesigned by next week.

It’s a great question. :D
Short answer:
MangoCoinz (at least for now) doesn’t use P2P technology.
Well, it’s running like a P2P in theory, but just on our machines. That’s why it’s centralized.
Long answer:
The reason why MangoCoinz isn't P2P is because of the nature of the app.
Because MangoCoinz is a way of mining crypto currencies on your smartphone there are certain trade-offs.

Nothing’s perfect, and in the tech world to achieve something you need to trade some features to achieve what you want.
I can give you a “scary" example of that trade-off.
Do you know how when you turn your WiFi antenna at home you automatically connect to your network? Well, that’s because you connected to that router before, and you saved it on your phone. And every time you turn your WiFi antenna on, your phone will first look for that router. And here is the “scary” part, let’s say you are in a cafe and your WiFi antenna is on and not connected to any networks. Your phone (which is maybe in your pocket) will be searching (probing) for your home router, but it won’t be able to find it because it’s not in range. But what’s this, a hacked is scanning the air for signals (probes) and intercepts your phone’s probe that is looking for your home router. And with that probe he will have some info on the network you are trying to connect to, and will spoof the info so that your phone will connect to his network, and then snoop on what you are doing or something even worse. Your phone won’t know the difference.
The way to avoid this is to keep your WiFi antenna off unless you’re using it. And plus it will save you on battery life. :D
The moral of the story was that you trade something (in the case of WiFi security) for convenience (connecting to your home router when you turn the WiFi antenna on when you’re at home).

MangoCoinz trades P2P (at least for now) for convenience and ease of use for everybody.

At the beginning of MangoCoinz we wanted a P2P network, but then we’ve realized that if you have the blockchain and everything is on the phones then you will eat up you data plan and storage. And we want MangoCoinz to be widely used, so you can’t say to people keep a few GBs on you phone free (most average phones have about 4-8 GB of storage and a bit chunk of that is used by bloatware, not talking about flagships but even they have a limited amount of storage depending on the manufacturer) for the app to function and get your data plan sucked so that you can’t even send an email.
And of course there is SPV (Simple Payment Verification) technology developed by BitCoin that allows you to have a header file on your phone and access the network with that (the file is less then a MB). But the problem with that is that people then need to have a client installed on their computer that will keep the blockchain and an app on their phone to mine. So they need to install double the software just so it’s fair to everybody, because SPV is susceptible to the “51%” attack. The attack is basically that as the blockchain is evolving and there is a main branch (graph theory) there could be someone with 51% of computer clients in the system that alters the blockchain for their gain (like adding an enormous amount of coinz to their waller) and then because they are in the majority, all the other nodes in the system will conform and will fork so that now the main branch is the altered blockchain. Because you can’t count on people to install the computer client, overpowering the system would’t be that big of a problem.

Technically we could have made MangoCoinz a P2P app, but we then looked at the practical aspect.
But the trade-off of MangoCoinz can be recouped with trading MangoCoinz for a decentralized crypto like BitCoin.
MangoCoinz was built from the ground up for mining on smartphones (Android for now).

We want to make crypto currencies accessible to everone.

I have a problem with the app on my phone. I have a kyocera event, I try to signup and when I press the button the app crashes.

I also put it on my Moms phone, so she could mine. and she never got a confirmation email. its not in her spam folder either.
and no way to get it resent.

We've been working on improving MangoCoinz so that we can have the API available for the exchanges.
We want to maintain speed in the system.
The exchanges are coming soon, and we are working on it. We just need you patience a bit longer.

The website is delayed off a bit due to a hard disk mechanical failure on our team members computer. But it will be soon.

Oh, and kahir you asked will there be and Windows phone version, and Taxidermista answered it correctly. For now there is no Windows phone version of MangoCoinz, but that doesn't mean that there won't be one in the future.

Have you synced your coinz before updating?
There was a warning for possible coin loss due to changing (improving) of the way coinz are stored on the phone. (this was for updating from v0.4.2b (and lower) to v0.4.3 (and up))
But if you did sync your coinz before updating you can just sync again and you will have your coinz back.

Well, in theory MangoCoinz it works like a P2P, but it isn't an open P2P network. Because it's not open to other nodes except ours we can say that it's centralized.

Hello Everybody!

The exchange patch is 70% complete, only thing left to do is to write the documentation for the exchange devs and test it out a little. We got held up by our college stuff (semester tests are coming up next week), so we will have to delay it by another week. I know what you guys are thinking. College students = unprofessional. But let me assure you that every single lesson we learn in our classes, all of our knowledge is directed to MangoCoinz. It will just keep getting better and better ;D We are sorry for the inconvenience, but bear with us, we are so close to making MCZ spark a revolution in the cryptocurrency world ;D

Also another thing we wanted to share with you guys. Deforestation is becoming a problem even here in our country, so we thought about trying to help out and raise the awareness for ecology and further encourage people to mine MCZ by planting trees each month for every certain amount of MCZ mined. Simple example: Plant 1 tree for every 1000 MCZ mined in a certain month. 100 000 coins mined = 100 trees planted. We are also considering some other projects that will involve ecology and MCZ directly, but that's a thread for itself :D

Great question Radio-Active and b-trading,

There is no need for a PC wallet, because mobile phones are computers.
Basically the MangoCoinz app is at the same time a miner and a wallet.

So the way you will send the coinz to your exchange account is simply by sending the coinz to a unique address that that exchange has made for your account.
So you will only need to send the coinz to i.e. "mangocoinzexchange_youruexchangesername" username and you will have your coinz in your account ready to trade. And that's it! :D

Yep you should do it around the other way. It's chicken and egg, if you get a thread going and people get interested you are in a much better position to get on an exchange plus users can contact exchanges and bug them for you.

Yep, we will make the introduction thread nice and cool.
There will be more details on the intro thread about security, but I can say that we had security in mind from the very start. We thought about how to make the system secure for the user and also fair for everyone. Android .apk files are easy to manipulate, but please bear in mind that MangoCoinz is a system, and the app is just a part of it. One of the reasons why there is a daily limit on how many coins can be mined is to mitigate the risk of someone gaming the system by chucking their phone into a washing machine. But as I said there will be more on that on the intro thread.
Right now we didn't have messaging in mind. A community member suggested something like this a while back and we have that option in the back of our minds, but still need to think it through. Maybe we could do a collaboration with www.getgems.org. We will send them an email to see what they think about collaborating with us. Currently there is an official MangoCoinz API in place that can allow them to integrate MangoCoinz intro their system.

We just updated MangoCoinz and now the latest version is v0.4.4.
What's new in MangoCoinz v0.4.4:
1) We removed the permissions for the app to access the external (media) storage of the device. This was a concern that a user here on bitcointalk.org had and we addressed this by removing it because at the moment we are not using it. It was left over back when we used it in the earlier iterations of the app.
2) We introduced a 1% transaction fee. This is a one-time per transaction sending fee that the sender pays. Think of this as a motorway toll. These MangoCoinz will be used for improving the system and making sure that everything is running as it should.

Note that MangoCoinz v0.4.4 doesn't have a difficulty increase or a daily sync limit decrease.

You need to send the coins to the address that is given to you by useCryptos.com. It's formatted like "usecryptos_theWalletIdThatTheyGaveYou".
The "theWalletIdThatTheyGaveYou" part is the text that is your wallet, but you need to send the coins to the address formatted like shown before.

And if that doesn't work, you can make another useCryptos MangoCoinz wallet in their dashboard.

We have had some arguments with our community lately regarding the man who has a phone shop and runs a lot of phones with a lot of MangoCoinz accounts on them. You guys thought it's cheating, we didn't. But, we are taking action against that. Some people stepped up claiming we were thieves. Claimed we were stealing coins and generating them. Saying the system is bad, flawed and wrong. A lot of hate and bashing. But, we accepted that. We moved past it. Now we ask of you, what's left of a once merry and colorful community, to stand with us for a final fight. None of what has happened with the app, or the security matters. The idea still lives. A revolution of payment and reward systems has endured. And it has attracted A LOT of attention. From people that can help, invest and push this, people that started believing in us. In you. The vessels of the idea may be flawed, we made mistakes when coding the app and the security. And we take responsibility for that. We are putting everything we have for this coin, we only ask of you to give us time. Great things are coming. Better days, richer days. The iPhone app will take the market by a storm. There are people with real power making sure it will. And we need you guys to back us up when this happens. It will spiral out of our control if you don't.

Right now, there are no registrations, no sending. But, it's far from dead. It's dormant. Hold on to your faith and your coins. Fitness users will soon come. There will be a lot of them. I am with the mango team on this. This is 3 guys who have turned a university project into something amazing. They have fantastic tech skills and they are now using them to implement the security everyone needs. Rome wasn't built in a day and you can rest assured these guys are working hard and soon it will be one of the major Altcoins in history.
I have dealt with them from the beginning and know Srele quite well and there is not any kind of scam in sight.
Remember it isn't a clone of some shit coin it is the real deal so yes we have faced some early teathing problems but god damn anyone can mine this coin... Its going to be massive.

Full support for the devs, this coin is very innovative and unique, and will eventually explode with users. As soon as it hits the ios market, things will get really good. So hold on to your coins people, this thing is going far :D

Mangociinz is already dead. I doubt you can get your coins exchange. There is no more exchange that accepts bitcoin so you can't convert it to bitcoin.
