UPDATE:
Locking and saving this thread for the history books.
New thread for the website is here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=90192

MtGox's cash crunch got you in a bind?  Your worked hard for those coins; stop accepting delays. We will buy your coins and pay you cash today.  If we can't we will give you a 110% refund (see guarantee below).  It is that simple.

How does it work?
We have an open offer to buy your coins (subject to funds availability) at the current "buy price" shown below and will pay you today via Paypal, Dwolla, VISA Giftcard, MoneyPak, Western Union, check in the mail, or cash deposit to your checking account.   Update: effective 06/19 we no longer accept MtGox codes.

What price are you paying?
The image below (removed see update above) updates in realtime with the price we are offering to purchase your coins at.  It is important that you refresh this page to get the current price. The price paid for your coins will be the price at the time you send the coins to us (0-confirm).

So how do I sell to you?
Send us either a bitcointalk private message or an email (info@tangiblecryptography.com). Indicate the number of coins you wish to sell and which payout method you wish to use.  Include any required information (see "what we need" listed for the payout option you wish to use).  We will send you a unique bitcoin address to deposit your coins.    The payout amount is locked in once coins are sent (tx shows as 0-confirm on the network) at the current buy price.  Funds will be paid out after 6 confirms.

What are my Payout options?

Dwolla
We will buy your Bitcoins @ MtGox weighted 24 hour average minus 2%.

To continue using Dwolla I had to agree to their terms of service which read:

You understand and agree that you will not engage in the following activities:
- Use the Dwolla system to operate or engage in any business regulated by FinCen, including the money service business;
- Use the Dwolla System without written consent in association with any online credit or virtual currency system;

So by trading my bitcoins for your Dwolla, how do I know that you've gotten approval from Dwolla to do these type of trades?

[To be fair, this isn't a problem unique to you, I have the same concern with withdrawing USD funds through Dwolla from Mt. Gox, Camp BX, Intersango, Get-Bitcoin, etc.) but they were operating before Dwolla's new terms of service were imposed so I somehow feel safe assuming they and Dwolla have things worked out already and are allowed to continue that activity.]

Bitcoins to prepaid Mastercard.

Anxiously awaiting this.

You don't but like you said the issue isn't limited to me.  I have funds available right now and Mt.Gox doesn't.  Still the Dwolla has been going fast I likely will need to close it until I can redeposit.  Down to $300 Dwollars.

I ask because Mt. Gox refers to having been given written consent from Dwolla making them a "special" merchant account.

Reportedly there now are 'normal" and "special" merchant accounts:

I have not been given written consent.  My guess is that Dwolla is more concerned about funds coming from new/recent accounts due to fraud.  My Dwolla account is in good standing, and has had more than $20K in deposits clear over the course of 9 months all from the same bank account.

Still I concede Dwolla could shut me down and if they do I will stop using them.  If they do that to enough people they will cease to exist.  I mean has anyone used Dwolla for anything other than virtual currencies?  Anyone?  Ever?  For a single purchase? :)

We have exhausted almost all Dwolla funds (<$100 PM me if interested in a small trade).  Thanks for all the support Bitcoin sellers.  We should have more Dwolla funds on the 7th.

As a "thank you" for the suppport, and to promote cash by Paypal we will cut the fee on Paypal to 2.5% until Dwolla is funded again.

Paypal US Accounts (see below for international accounts)
We will buy your Bitcoins @ MtGox weighted 24 hour average minus 3.0%.    Price cut to 2.5% till 6/7.

Already sold your coins?  No problems we also accept MtGox USD at the same rate.  We absorb any Paypal fees.  PM us with your paypal address, and the BTC amount (indicate US account).
Min tx: 5 BTC  (we can transfer less but you pay 1% more)
Max tx: 200 BTC (based on availability)

Example:
20 BTC  MtGox weighted 24hour price = $5.25.
$5.25 *0.97 * 20 = $101.85 in your Paypal account

Paypal International Accounts
We will buy your Bitcoins @ MtGox weighted 24 hour average minus 3.5%.    Price cut to 2.5% till 6/7.

Already sold your coins?  No problems we also accept MtGox USD at the same rate.  We absorb any Paypal fees.  PM us with your paypal address, and the BTC amount (indicate intl account).
Min tx: 5 BTC  (we can transfer less but you pay 1% more)
Max tx: 200 BTC (based on availability)
Available:  Yes

Example:
20 BTC  MtGox weighted 24hour price = $5.25.
$5.25 *0.965 * 20 = $101.33

Might wanna fix the math to include the price cut ;)

How about just "Cash via Registered Mail"?  I was curious what kind of interest it would attract, to just offer cash in the mail for BTC.  It is not as scary as it sounds.

Registered Mail is a USPS product specifically meant for mailing currency, precious metals, jewels, and such.  Everything sent Registered Mail has a paper chain of custody from sender to recipient, there is always a paper signoff as it is handed from USPS employee to employee, and RM has stringent security requirements (for example, it goes in a lockbox at every step of the way, and the entire outer surface must be paper, so the originating post office can rubberstamp all the seams, so the package is tamper-evident throughout its journey).

on top of that, cash sent Registered Mail is fully insured.  If it disappears, it's fully claimable, and the USPS knows they have an individual name they can go after via the paper trail.

Registered Mail doesn't really add a whole lot to the cost of a shipment... it depends on the insured amount... mailing a bundle of cash via RM might come out to $15 fully insured, just as a ballpark figure.

We will consider it if there is sufficient interest.   The main issue with registered mail is the need for hand delivering the package to Post Office.  That added cost will be passed on to the seller which may make the option unattractive.

We are also looking into Money Order issuance.
If anyone else would like us to explore adding cash by mail please let us know.

What maximum?   Are there levels, or can I buy a card with $567.89 on it?

Are these usable at an ATM?  Are these usable internationally?   Can they be reloaded?

What maximum?
Min $25
Max $500

Quote
Are there levels, or can I buy a card with $567.89 on it?
Any amount between the min & max is acceptable.  $567.89 is over the max but $467.89 would be fine.

Quote
Are these usable at an ATM?  Are these usable internationally?   Can they be reloaded?
No, no, no.

From the issuer:
Quote
Due to changes in applicable law, gift cards purchased after March 31, 2012 may not be used for international transactions or purchases. Please use gift cards for domestic U.S. transactions or purchases only.  This card may be used in the U.S. and District of Columbia wherever Visa debit cards are accepted. The card may not be used outside of the U.S. or the District of Columbia including Internet and mail or telephone order merchants outside of the U.S. or the District of Columbia.

We have a reloadable international solution coming but that will likely not be here until next month and like all reloadable solutions will require KYC information.

KYC?
Can you please explain what does that means?

I apologize for using jargon like that.  KYC is "Know Your Customer" a term used to cover the comprehensive set of rules that money service businesses are required to follow.  In the context that it was used it means that since the cards (the reloadable ones) are issued by a US bank it will require customer information (name, address, Social Security Number*).  Cards which can't be reloaded (like the VISA gift cards) are not subject to any KYC requirements although other anti-money laundering provisions may apply.

* or equivalent for international customers.  Acceptable ID varies by country of residence.

When you start doing ACH transfers, how much do you think the fees will be? CampBX has a $2 fee, will you be able to beat that?

We do not intend to not have any flat fee when paying out by ACH.  Our goal is not to become an exchange but to be a direct buyer of Bitcoins.  The price we are willing to buy at may vary from the current bid at CampBX or other exchanges so it is difficult to directly compare but we intend to be competitive for small to medium sized orders.  Someone looking to sell hundreds of Bitcoins may find an exchange more attractive but we will likely be able to offer more "cash" payout options.

We envision a simple portal where a bitcoin holder can quickly sell them to obtain needed cash.  We show you our rate up front, you tell us the number of coins, and pick your payout method from a number of options (ACH, mailed check, Paypal, Dwolla, funds added to your reloadable credit card, VISA gift card*, or MoneyPack*) and get a deposit address.  Once the coins clear we pay you.  That simple.

* There likely will be an additional fee for these two options simply because they carry high fixed fees.

Love it. I can see this gaining popularity very fast.

Will you match spendbitcoin's rate?

Our rate is posted in the image on first page.  It dynamically adjusts based on market price and funds availability.

Currently $5.45 per BTC*.  No fees beyond the selling price.

(i.e. right now if you sold us 10 BTC we would pay you $54.50 into your Paypal or Dwolla account)

* At the time of the post.  Always check the Current Buy Price in the first post.

We send Paypal funds by payment and we cover all fees.  As an example if you sell us coins and we owe you $100 you will get $100 in your Paypal account not a cent less.

I don't believe we have a method to pay directly in ppCAD.  However if you have ppCAD denominated account PP should allow you to accept ppUSD payments which they then convert to ppCAD.

Title: Re: FastCash4Bitcoin (Update: Western Union now available to 200 countries)

Update:  Western Union now available.

Generally speaking Western Union has the highest fees but for international users it may be fastest option available.
For example you can sell 100 BTC and get paid $500 (or equivalent local currency) at any WU location in Peru.

WU fees vary significantly based on the amount transferred and the destination country so PM for more information or use WU site to estimate fees:
www.westernunion.com

Source: United States Zipcode 23322
Destination: Your country

We fund via the "In person - Instant" option and the "Online - Bank Account" option.  Instant allows pickup on the same day but generally has a higher fee.  Bank Account funding option will be paid via funds drawn from our LLC bank account and allows pickup in 3 days.  Generally the fees are 50% to 75% less.  The choice is up to you and we never markup WU fees.

Just another way to sell coins and get paid TODAY!

Update: Lowered and Simplified fees on GreenDot MoneyPaks

Denominations available: $50 to $1000
Fees:  up to $500 = $5 flat fee.  over $500 = $10 flat fee

Example:  You wish to sell 100 coins and current buy price is $5.25.
100 BTC * $5.25 ea = $525 owed.  You can choose MoneyPak payout option and get a $525 - $10 = $515 MoneyPak.

If you have a Paypal account I recommend you get a PayPal debit card (US residents only).  It allows you to spend your PayPal balance anywhere Mastcard is accepted.

https://personal.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/?cmd=_render-content&content_ID=marketing_us/debit_card

http://www.davidswopes.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/PayPal-Debit-Card.jpg

It takes 5-7 days for delivery so get one now so you have it when you need it.  There are no monthly fee (there is a $1 ATM fee and 1% foreign tx fee).

So say you need to pay an emergency bill you are short the cash but have plenty of Bitcoins.  Sell the coins to us, we payout via PayPal and you can pay the plumber, mechanic, or liquor store with your Mastercard (at least until they start accepting Bitcoins).

With FastCash4Bitcoins you can keep more of your wealth in Bitcoins and instantly transfer them to PayPal, Dwolla, or 5 other payout options.

PayPal is a registered trademark of Ebay Inc.  MasterCard is a registered trademark of Mastercard Inc.

Narrowed the spread on BTC pricing and lowered discount on MtGox to 2.5% to 2.0%.  We have more funds and more liquidity so we are lowering the cost for our loyal customers.

Update 06/13: Discount for MtGox codes will remain 2.5%.  We encourage our customers to start selling BTC directly as at some point in the future we will stop accepting MtGox codes completely.  Don't worry we will give you plenty of notice but MtGox inability to clear withdrawals (by any method) in less than 16 days has significantly hurt our liquidity.

Thanks fixed. We are keeping lower spread on BTC but resuming 2.5% discount on Gox codes.   We are moving away from MtGox funds.  We will keep the option open for some of our customers but eventually we will be BTC only.

Update:

The good news is we did some heavy volume today (I think the prices spiking brought out the sellers).  We want to think all our customers and would like to point out we paid every single coin sold on the same day it was bought (most within minutes).

The bad news is Paypal funds are exhausted and Dwolla funds are very low.  MtGox delays (18 day+) are really hurting our liquidity.  We are injecting new capital into both payout methods.   We may need to stop accepting MtGox codes or raise the discount rate unless MtGox can clear the 5 figure backlog.  This won't affect our pricing of direct purchases of BTC.

Thank You,

Gerald Davis

Update:  Added "check in the mail" as a new payout option.

A throwback to a simpler time ... we payout via a check drawn from our company account and hand delivered to your front door (or PO BOX).  Checks are sent by first class mail.  Priority mail and certified cashier's check are available as optional upgrades.   Why pay $40 or more for a "wire" from a certain exchange that takes 3 weeks to arrive? The Postal service can likely get it there quicker and cheaper.

http://images.quickblogcast.com/0/3/6/7/0/314680-307630/usps.jpg
Physical check from our company account in the mail.  Sent via first class mail.
Denominations available: $1 to $5,000 (inquire about larger payouts)
What we need:  Name on the check and address to mail it (PO BOX accepted).  US delivery only at this time
Fee:  None (convenience fee of $0.50 will be deducted from payouts of less than $100)
Optional:  Upgrade to Priority Mail (2-3 day delivery) with delivery confirmation for $5.00 fee.
Optional:  Upgrade to certified cashier's check & Priority Mail for $10 fee ($500 min payout).

Early bird special.
We will give free upgrade to priority mail upgrade and a 1% bonus to the first Bitcoin sale paid by check.  Minimum of 40 BTC and under the condition you write a feedback/review post on your experience.

We will look into this on a case by case basis.  Due to geography this would be limited to Wells Fargo and Bank Of America.
Anyone interested should send an email to info@tangiblecryptography.com  To complete a cash deposit we will need the account holder's name and account #.  We STRONGLY recommend using gpg to protect your sensitive information.  Our gpg key is available in the first post.

We will try it on a case by case basis and if the logistics aren't too tough we will make it a standardized option.

Nobody has taken us up on the option yet.  The early bird special is still available.  I would imagine this option will have a niche use.  It likely is best for the seller who doesn't want to use PayPal or Dwolla and doesn't want the higher fees of MoneyPak or WU.

Cash deposit directly to your Bank Of America or Wells Fargo bank account.
In most instances funds will be available instantly (see your bank for fund availability information)
IMPORTANT:  You must use pgp to encrypt private information if you want to use this payout option.  If you send us your account information in plain text we will reject your sale, and refund the coins.  No exceptions.

Denominations available:  $200 to $5,000 (this is a manual process so it isn't cost/time effective for us to process smaller orders)
What we need: Full Name as it appears on the account, Bank name, account type, and account number  (MUST be sent via PGP protected message)
Fee: None during this trial period (subject to change as we evaluate the popularity and time requirements)

I hate to be the one to start an ugly rumor, but Tangible lives in his parents' basement and lives on ramen noodles and cut-rate soda.  His only entertainment is an Atari 2600.  This is the only explanation for fees this frickin' low.  I would gladly pay an extra 1/4% so he could chop up some ham to put in those noodles but the man lives the way he wants so fine then.

In addition to the crazy low fees, the service is top-shelf.

Any chance for a Chase or Ally bank account for a payout?

I can deposit funds into BofA or Wells Fargo because there are physical branches locally.  I already tried this as a trial with two sellers before making it an official option.

Ally bank has no physical branches and Chase has no branches in my immediate area.  We do intend to offer ACH which would work with an US bank account (hopefully starting next week if the bank can graciously get around to approving the application).  The advantage of a cash deposit is it posts the same day (much like a wire without the wire cost).  The ACH service we are getting set up with has an accelerated option which delivers funds next day for an additional fee.

http://payment-times.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/same_day_funding-300x300.png

We are happy to announce that bankers occasionally work; more to the point our application for ACH has been (finally cough cough) approved.   We will be rolling out ACH deposits (direct deposit) as our latest payout option in a few days.  We need to finish up some automation improvements to keep up with demand and wait for some fund transfers to clear.

The fee on ACH payouts will be  ..... NOTHING!  Our 110% same day guarantee applies to ACH also.  Obviously we can't guarantee the ACH delivery (that is up to the banking network and takes 3-5 business days) but we can do our part and guarantee we will submit the ACH request the same day we buy your coins.    They are your hard earned coins don't accept anything less than same day payments.

Need your money a little faster?  Well our name isn't SlowCash4Bitcoins.  We will be offering an optional upgrade for NEXT DAY ACH payouts.   You will have funds in your bank account the day after you sell us coins.   Final pricing for this optional service is not decided yet but we anticipate it will be around five bucks.  Remember "normal" ACH will always be a free service for our clients.

Thanks for all the support ... and coins!

That would be it.  We rode it out as long as possible but it has turned into a liquidity trap.  Capital goes in and gets stuck.  Even without the risk of insolvency (small IMHO but not zero) the delays are getting longer and the amount of capital idled keeps growing.  We can't continue to support that.

For some time now we have been accepting MtGox as a courtesy and then immediately paying MtGox to buying coins.

Our first payouts by check were mailed two days ago.  They haven't been cashed or deposited yet.  I hope we will see a review by the end of the week.

Checks are drawn from Tangible Cryptography Bank Of America Small Business Checking Account. One certainty is that they can be cashed at any Bank Of America.  I can't see any reason why they would be declined at Walmart or any other location but if Walmart denied a check from PayPal (either intentionally or by mistake) obviously they could deny a check from just about anyone.

This weekend I will write a company check to myself and try to cash it at Walmart as a test and report on the results (good or bad).  Still if you don't have a BofA near your or a personal bank account to deposit the check then, one of the other payout options are likely a better fit.

Here are some alternative ideas for sellers who don't have (or don't want to use) a US bank account.  If you have a creative option, share it in this thread.

The easiest option: PayPal
If you have a PayPal account sign up for their debit card (https://personal.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/?cmd=_render-content&content_ID=marketing_us/debit_card).  There is no signup or monthly fees.  We deposit the proceeds from your coins sale into your PayPal account and you instantly have funds available anywhere that takes VISA (w/ 1% cash back).   You can also use the debit card to withdraw funds from an ATM.

That is a great idea but for moral, ethical, religious, or financial reasons I can't or won't use PayPal
A reloadable prepaid card and GreenDot MoneyPak is likely your best option.  There are a lot of reloadable prepaid cards and they all have different fees, so try to find one which matches what you will use it for.   You worked hard for those coins get the most from them.

One of the better options is the Walmart MoneyCard (https://www.walmartmoneycard.com).  If you load $1,000 or more there is no monthly fee.  This shouldn't be taken as an endorsement by Tangible Cryptography.  There may be better prepaid alternatives.  We would love to hear from our sellers if they use any.

Most prepaid cards cost $3 to $5 if you buy one in the store but if you order online they usually are free.  We got prepaid cards free from about twenty companies to evaluate them.  Sell us some coins, we payout in a GreenDot MoneyPak and you load the funds on to your card.  A fee of $5 (up to $500) or $10 ($501 to $1000) will be deducted from the payout when using MoneyPak option.

You had me until the "f" word.  I hate fees.
Some prepaid cards (like Walmart money card above) can accept a direct deposit.  Our ACH service hasn't officially launched yet but we would be happy to do a trial run for anyone who has a prepaid card that can accept direct deposit.   Sell us some coins, give us the direct deposit info for your prepaid card and you will have funds in 3-5 days with no "f" words.  You can find the direct deposit info in the online account for your prepaid card.

Wait wait wait.  Those are spending options.  I need cold hard cash.  You know cash, dough, greenbacks, Benjamins, paper and I don't want to make 20 trips to the ATM.   How can I get a lot of cash and quick?

We can deposit up to $5,000 into your Bank of America or Wells Fargo account, today.

If you don't have (or don't want to use) a bank account your best option is a certified cashier's check.  Unlike a regular check, the funds are removed when the check is printed not when it is cashed.   There is no possibility of the check being denied due to lack of funds or account being closed.   Check cashing services have more options on verifying a certified check than a regular check because banks provide the ability to verify the amount, payee, and status.

Review of our check fees:
Check by first class mail - $0
Certified cashier's check - $20
Priority Mail (2-3 days) - $5
Express Mail (overnight) - $10

I would take you up on this but I'm repaying a loan currently. And why is it 3-5 Days? I actually have a Walmart Moneycard and on the site it lists an ACH as 1-3 days.

We are being conservative and Walmart is being wildly (unrealistically) optimistic.  ACH usually posts the third day.  Rarely it will hit on the second or fourth day.  I have never seen one day or five days.   NACHA states three to five days so we will use that.

Simple version:  it is ~3 days.

Update:  we will be dropping the VISA gift card option.  It simply is not popular enough to justify the time and expense.

We have a few $100 VISA gift cards left.  We will be absorbing the $5 load fee.  Just pay face value ($100) while supplies last.

Title: Re: FastCash4Bitcoins (Update: halting purchases until processing website goes live)

IMPORTANT UPDATE:
We will be halting all purchases starting at 1PM EST on 6/22/2012.  We have reluctantly decided to do this in order to free up time and resources for our website launch.   We hate to turn away business but we are now processing almost 100 purchases per day manually and the data entry, validation, and processing is starting to become a full time job!  The new platform will allow us to process a much higher volume securely and quickly. All pending transactions will be completed as agreed, this notice only applies to new trades.

We want to thank all our clients who have entrusted us with their business.  We started this project manually because we were unsure if there would be enough demand for a "direct bitcoin buyer".  You have blown away our expectations, so a sincere thank you.

We hope to process your next bitcoin sale on our new website Monday morning.

Update:
We apologize for the delay.  For neither of us this is our full time job, real world has delayed deployment of the new website.  We just want to do some final unit testing and validation of bitcoind communication.

If you need to complete a sale today, please contact us by PM or email and we will process it manually.
