Why did you set you bar so low? Why only 25 BTC? Other coins are doing ICO's worth 1000's of BTC.

There are two main justifications for our low initial marketcap.

1- We want to be know every STABLE initial investor and we want them to reach us so we can setup STABLEFUND. If we had a really big ICO and a lot of investors we wouldn't be able to, given our current infrastructure, know and make contact with a big part of them.

2- We don't need more than 25 BTC to start out the project and a big part of this money will be used in the value increases.

Not really. 30 seconds is the perfect combination between being "dangerous" blockchain-wise and transaction speed.

I'll talk to the dev about the issue with the fees.

Just want to clarify a question that someone raised via PM.

There are two main justifications for our low initial marketcap.

2- We don't need more than 25 BTC to start out the project and a big part of this money will be used in the value increases.

Why is your coin information only an image? Is that so you can delete it and it is never stored on the internet? Did you do that on purpose for manipulation reasons?

You need to type it out, or copy paste it into the forum. Makes me a little worried when I see that you only have an image with information on it. Then it cannot be stored anywhere and you can delete whenever you want.  ???

Title: Re: [PRE-ANN] STABLE - 25 BTC ICO Today - Controlled Price Increases - PoW/PoS
Post by: stableproject on December 09, 2014, 05:30:33 PM
Due to a lot of requests via pm the dev team as decided to have a small PoW phase in the first 10 days. 200,000 coins will be available to mine @ 20 coins/block.

PoD is also coming today before the ICO.

We used an image because bitcointalk didn't have the formatting options we wanted. I'll fixe this and write everything down.

Good luck!

Is this for real? You can't be serious, I practically fell out of my chair laughing at this.

I asked Josh about this. He said:

When you decrease the block time you was more network resources. Now that we decided to go PoW in the beginning, 30 seconds makes even more sense. It's a good combination between wasted network resources and a usable real world transaction speed.

https://stable.suprnova.cc is up :)

you had the source before launch time, and i saw that 10 blocks was mined ( not in pool ) before they post the wallet links. dev what is this you greedy ?

that was me sending the pre-mine to c-cex as i was helping out the dev.

i'll destroy the remaining 8 blocks later and send a tx for that

Thank you for clearing that up ocminer!

In the meanwhile you can now buy into STABLE's ICO @ https://c-cex.com/i/l_s.png (https://c-cex.com/?p=stb-btc)

Hey! We recognise that the "hype" around the launch was not the biggest but we are working hard to build a great coin.

Later today we will be making STABLEFUND's whitepaper available because we want you to know about what we are planning :)

EDIT: PoD now available for STABLE.

People have been asking so we will post this in the OP.
Making a post so I can link it from twitter.

Hey everyone!

Small change of plans. STABLEFUND is now up!
This is a big moment for STABLE, you can now apply to be part of STABLEFUND by clicking the logo below, keep in mind you need to have more than 44,000 STB for your application to be accepted. We also recommend you take a look at STABLEFUND's whitepaper (https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-z6lTv6sLDRTmNxV21Ea1RXRXc/view) before applying.
Soon we will have a website for STABLE and another for STABLEFUND up so we can make the application process as smooth as it gets.

PS: We are also updating the roadmap a bit since things are getting done ahead of time (yay!).

We won't have a lot of miner selling pression, since mined coins only account for 9% of the total supply.
But to answer your question about prevent prices from going down:

That's our main goal since the beginning and we have defined a strategy to do it. It will be STABLEFUND's main goal to keep the value steady and do all the value increases.
If you are interested you can read more about it in the whitepaper Russell wrote (https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-z6lTv6sLDRTmNxV21Ea1RXRXc/view).

There will not be to many coins from POW only 200k coins. It'd be good if all of coins were sold.

This is correct, only 200k coins (9% of the total supply) will be available through PoW.

The thing with this coin is that it has a really low initial market cap. The price bumps or "value increases" as the dev calls will be really easy to do. I can see this going 3x on the first price bump and even after that it would have a really low market cap.

will you put any of the ico btc to protect ico price, if you look at the other ico on ccex ico was at 7500 it went down to 3500 now due to all the miners dumping, what is your strategy to prevent this happening on stable

There will not be to many coins from POW only 200k coins. It'd be good if all of coins were sold.

The worst thing in crypto is mixing an ICO with a POW phase only if the POW phase is ridiculously high (which happened with the king ico)

This POW phase will in my opinion provide an even better value to the coin since it barely represent 10% and can easily be contained.

is it just me, or is it just happening notably more frequent the recent time... every other
new clonecoin's best showcase only seems to consists of presenting:

- flawful or sloppy research the likes of: the proposed and promoted names or isomark
  already being taken, used, some even popular?  or...
- telling that tacky story of uniting those ultimate features of some other coins for the
  first time in history, to provide you with the glory of that new, highly anticipated currency?   while...
- eventually just taking over some known name, pre- or postfixing it with some fancy
  'dark', 'lite', 'shadow', 'tor', 'black', block', 'bits', 'u name it', and use this to get a free
  attention ride? ...plus maybe some irritaded accidential buyers who bought some coins
  in a trigger happy mood when they thought, they'd get that arbitrage of their life :D
  (which is their very own damn fault, btw. :D)

I'm just wondering, why so much of the proposed work is either not ready, or not even
considered to become assigned to someone (before launch!)
...and on the other hand there's not the slightest sign of beeing concerned about
powerlaunching hat coin anyway whithout having something like an infrastructure,
or plans (apart from some mysterious phantasy drivel) how to get the next steps
done... but however, hype shouted for mining til the gas goes through the floor...

I don't want to say that all aspects show up equaly in any case. * it's just again that
level of unpreparedness I can see here... but that's an ever faster emerging pattern
all around... looks like too many folks still are getting away with just throwing
together some necessary minimum and somewhat sweettalk the community with
another perky story, completely obfuscating that theres lack of ideas, clues, and
experience in the first place. which is - even regarding the whole scam - still fairly
easy... fair enough.
from from time to time that feels like walking over a bazaar. some hyper hyper
boosted launch momentum, sometimes with diff beyond all reason, so most are
focused on that, this there's not much time and attention to ponder about, that some
features which actually even could help making such coin useful to an extent (in
the real world, I mean in the strange place outside the network ;)). those points
are often dealt with in a slightly shy or secretive manner, or rather ignored as if
there were no tomorrow...

I'd even go so far to say, the lions share might as well being pronounced:
ponzi mining venture, coin lottery, chineese dangle, musical chairs... ;D

yet, that was more like some 'cardinal rant'... it was just that all so popular:
'mmkay, there's already stable u say? that went somehow aroundd me...'
that got me started  ;)

...however, I have already created some blocks myself when I noticed, that diff was faaairly low...

hehe, we'll see if the coin lives up to his name eventually... what was it now?

STABLE, STABLES, or STAPLES**...  ;)

-----
  * so, the whole yadda yadda is not against that stable coin, more like a general
    observation, that draws my attention all too frequent...
** that'd be actually not the worst name if not already taken

First article about STABLE is here! http://coin-network.com/stablecoin-c-cex-ico-ending-on-december-15 (http://coin-network.com/stablecoin-c-cex-ico-ending-on-december-15)/

now, I wish you the very best... fair enough article, nice and short...

...that 'reserve' thing and especially

providing, promoting & maintaining a multipool are an important step to keep that thing at least running
(that'd mean, being ahead of min. 85% of the other altcoins after, say a year ^^)

how stable it will turn out to be will largely depend on demand. and I mean that sort of demand,
coins like bitcoin or darkcoin are creating in their user environment. and undoubtfully, there are already
users... only hitting a market and beeing shifted around is like juggling futures... and some of these commodities
even don't exist (yet, are well hedged) ^^ ...just 1 rule: play at will. you leave late, you pay the bill.

stability only comes with demand.

- multipool (good 1st step!)
- merchant gateway
- stable and agile network (singleboard nodes/wallets will be a major boost for p2p in near future. target on that)
- simple to use features with some real or even outstanding value (esp. for target users in some niche).
- supported with hardware! hardware (even if optional) provides something you can actually touch! game changer.

...but foremost important still is only one thing, are people'* willing and able to use it as if it's -> money?!
('*people != believers and nerds, digital banksters, prospectors, profit hunters, the daft and the curious)

those few cryptocurrencies currently 'in use' - and even if it only happens within a local reach or the targeted
busines sector... those few altcoins are used to actually create 'real world' transactions. 'value' in exchange for
service, commodities, or other value-keeping items that suffice in trust and certain other requirements.

if cryptocurrency can provide features similar to fiat, chance are good that the global perspective on fiat money
and centralized banking will change one day not too far in the future. and once it's around, it might even happen
pretty fast.

yet, presumably that day is still far from being considered 'around the corner'...

if you want to put some serious work into that coin, go for technology with a future.
- smart contracts (ethereum, codius, halo...!hot)
- coin mixing, ofbfuscating
- multisig wallets (security, lightweight escrow...)
- use technology where p2p excells... name- peer- gridcoin, whatever... just imagine: decentralised,
  transactional, turing complete, high secure, autonomous working, anonymous... everything.
- use hardware! singleboard- and wearable-size pcs (cold or hot wallets, coind nodes, p2p cloud whatever, etc.)

consider the community regarding a coin as experiment, sort of game, marketing trick,
or 'not a joke anymore' (spelled: scam) if not one of the above (or somethin comparabel)
at least is transparent to be a central objective. and I'm speaking of community (men with
 a mission  8)) ...not the remaining ~95% mainstream branch of society. again, they
are tremdously amazed by those little hardware gadgets ;)

however, all the (sta)b(l)est :)

The BTC we raise in this first phase (ICO) will define how big the first value increase will be. The ICO will be successful no matter what but the first value increase might be a bit smaller if we don't raise the total 25 BTC.

Congratulations for buying into another C-CEX scam ICO. It's pretty obvious a huge chunk of the ICO is bought by the dev himself.

It's always the same over and over again, you can see it at a lot of points. Probably the same dev that's behind a lot of other scams. I'll give it max a week before he'll dump his own load on you guys.

Simple tip: just stop buying into ICO's from newbie accounts and pay attention to history. The signs are pretty clear...

It will also depend on how much coins we gather in the first price increase.

It appears people don't like to join in the common sense party. But also, they could have changed their mind and taking a small loss in order to hope for a big gain in another coin. Also there is trying to drop the price and fud along to try get more at a lower value. There are many reasons. I cannot say why each individual is doing their thing, but it could be various all mixed together.

So obvious. There is almost 0 demand for this coin, look at the trade sheets. And still people believe this ICO sold out by itself??? It's the dev who bought into his own ICO, wake up people. Before you are turned into a bagholder when greedy dev is gone
we wait and watch!!
wanna watch any longer? Where is the dev now? He was o so active prior to the ICO and now to busy trying to get rid of his stash. I feel sorry for investors. Shitty scammer devs all the time...

We are here and preparing the first STABLEFUND funds PDF and then the first price increase will take place.

it was just a panic i guess, due to recent ico scams. ive put in a order anyway hoping it gets filled as i think this is legit. people say dev bought his own ico and then dumped coins. well if dev bought his own coins he would not have dumped the way it was dumped and if he wanted to scam he would have put up a huge wall to sell as much as possible above ico price. so it does not make sense. if dev does not have the btc to do that then ico was legit.

take a example look at alipay coin. sold out in 30min. dev defo bought his own coina. rose 5 times above ico. ganja coin the same. did not dump below ico but large holders held it. obvious those was scam. but dont think this is the case. who knows right just have to wait and see. in the mean time feel to sell to me

I thought it is completely normal for a coin which just went to market with PoW active. The same happened with your coin now (KingdomCoin) - big gap between ICO and current price, isn't it? I don't know for sure, but this says nothing about legitimacy of the project. These guys don't look like scammers to me, regardless of what michaelb87 tells. Not sure even why he is trying to kick this coin so hard... I believe they are legit... Another question - how successful would the project be..?

Multipools are mining this coin now (at least Yaamp does). They mine it and sell immediately. This holds the coin's price down for a while.

It will depend on how much coins STABLEMINE gathers. I can't give you a number at the moment. We will also distribute the coins we gather in the value increases.

80% of your funds will be frizzed and you will only be able to withdrawn 20% of it per month.
So you can take a maximum of 20% month until you reach 10k, then you can withdrawn all the 10k STABLE (this last part was not featured in the WP).

bought some coins still wondering if i should buy the y been minimum 44k. as dev said 50% is already given to put in the stablefund, in multisig wallets. meaning if dev reaches his target of 75% only 500k would be available to buy so this could rise pretty rapid from here. plus if dev does push it with the funds. i am thinking this could do wonders and reach nice heights

...now, speaking of wallet

as the stable wallet is a direct descendant of x15coin and seems to be identical twin of aegiscoin, there's just 1 deviation I'm curious about.
I pretty much don't have a clue how to rate that, as I couldn't find a reference anywhere else (not even at cpan).
you'll find it somewhere right in the middle of T512_21

Code:
aegis/src/hamsi_helper.c

static const sph_u32 T512_21[128][16] = {

Guys, this coin is a scam.

I dev'd for the guys who created this and I actually thought they were legit but they haven't been answering me and I'm almost sure they already have the ICO funds. They also missed half of the agreed payment.
If the team contacts me again I'll delete the accusation but until then procede with extreme caution.

you'll find it somewhere right in the middle of T512_21

Code:
aegis/src/hamsi_helper.c

static const sph_u32 T512_21[128][16] = {
   ...
 SPH_C32(0x2f353af4), SPH_C32(0xb1337778), SPH_C32(0xc4b6a25d), // <- @22788 this should be: 0xb1152578
                                       ==========
   ...
}

now, maybe you can shed some light on that...

This makes absolutely no sense and has no use - just one - its a watermark so the dev can follow traces if his coins gets forked and renamed again

I just wanted to comment on this. This was most likely not intentional. This is consistent with doing a search and replace to change the RPC port number (13377). I don't have time to look into the original value, but whatever it was originally is probably the RPC port of the direct coin they forked from.

As for the ramifications, I would expect for it to not be the true X15 hashing algorithm (ie, hashed values to differ). However, this is not the case, otherwise miners would be complaining about rejected blocks. So, I'm really not sure what the implications are. I don't expect it to be a backdoor or exploit in anyway though.

Well a full day has come and gone with no new wallet.  That was my true timer.  I was duped once I will not be buying anymore IPO's in Cryptoworld for sure.  However I did buy into Paycoin but they are a legitimate bunch of people with real names, faces, and a building.  These people will get their Karma - it's a bitch!

I still hope dev is back soon... Maybe I am too new to crypto, not yet burned on previous coins, and hence am too naive, but something tells me he will be back. At least this time :) Isn't it too early for Devs to run away even if they are not legit? From other hand, if they are serious people, they might be working on finishing their stuff and balancing offers before they go further. In that case it would be nice for Carol to drop a line here, so people don't panic. Carol, are you around? Say something :)

I am also new to the IPO crypto world but having invested in other things I know the feeling I get when I see something that looks half-assed and thrown together.  We are all smarter than this but was blinded by greed.  We all purchased into this with a half-assed white paper with no real path, and no true faces.  Newbie accounts and very little meat in the communications.  Take your losses as I have and move on.  I would seriously not consider doing anymore IPO's on C-Cex since they certainly don't vet their prospective clients.

a) dont buy ICOs

also, if the dev comes back now with some lame excuse it is still a scam. We had that before. They let the coin die, buy everything themselves super cheap, come back with some bullshit promises and dump on you again. Dont let them fool you twice. If that happens get out soon and dont look back, ever.

b) dont buy ICOs unless you have a really good reason to do so. There is actually one ICO (and only one) open right now I would even recommend to my grandmother, but I am not here to promote somthing.

I actually did not buy this coin from ICO, just mined it for some time, as it was much cheaper that way. Ok, lets assume this is indeed scam. What about proof of developer from CryptoAsian ( http://proofofdev.com/project/stb-stable/ )? Looking at that paper I can see at least that CryptoAsian has some info we miss, for example "Josh"'s Skype, phone number and his LinkedIn account. Can we ask CryptoAsian to share that info, so we can.. well.. contact this guy, and see who he is.. and what he is thinking about his coin? :)

Yep, CryptoAsian's PoD sheet indeed lists "smallbay" as Josh's bitcointalk account... But I am sure that's not true. Mainly because of two reasons:
1) they tell this "Josh Green" is from Spain. Looking at the posts of "smallbay", I see pretty fluent and somewhat informal English using some slang. Real people from Spain very rarely talk that way.
2) STAB "Josh" never wrote a single word here in the STB thread. "Carol" was used to communicate with him (probably she translated the questions..:)
So this "Josh" is not good communicator, unlike the "smallbay".

Its interesting whether CryptoAsian cares to check at least something, before taking money and giving his "PoD" certificate.

You did not tell anything valuable on this forum topic. There were other people telling it is a scam, but not you. Look at your earlier posts, and think before you say something next time, or before insulting people. Your 'newbie' account is not much more credible than the newbie account of this coin's "dev". So there is no reason to listen you even the "next time" ;)

Well, I have dumped all my coins already, so can jump off this topic (the investment was too small to spend time and continue monitoring this coin now; I didn't belief in this coin enough to put more or less considerable funds into that, just mined it for cheap). Just wanted to add my two cents for finding those bastards. I have sent a PM to CryptoAsian (bitcointalk user "thectspot"). With the following content:
***********************************************
Hi!

Could you please look at the following forum thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=886555.260 ? That is the ANN thread of the STAB (StableCoin). The developers told they got your PoD verification, and your website indeed shows the PoD for Stable coin ( http://proofofdev.com/project/stb-stable/ ).

This coin most probably turned to be a scam, so people would appreciate your comment, and if possible, could you please list there the contacts (phone, skype, linkedin account), and any other info which made you think the developer is real, and which could help investors find him.

Thanks a lot!
***********************************************

Hey everyone!

The team is still here working on stable. At the moment we are having some difficulties with the amount of people in STABLEFUND, we need some more coins to get the first value increase started.

The team is also buying coins that are being sold at low prices so we can increase the amount of coins in STABLEFUND. Please send in your form if you haven't yet.

Why did you disappear without even an update that the wallet was not going to be released?  If you truly are legit don't you think that is just bad business?

No answer from Crypto Asian regarding his PoD... Neither in my PM, nor here in the forum.

This just proves the PoD itself is a SCAM, I would not tell everyone who does the PoD is a scammer, but this definitely refers to the PoD from CryptoAsian. Those scammers help each other, and make money, each one his own way.

From my research with new Magnetz release today,

Magnetz is just a lame attempt at scamming people with ICO, I've check their code and I can't believe my eyes, it is just a exact duplicate of old "torrentcoin" (also x13 algo) (https://github.com/torrentcointeam/torrentcoin) that died from dev ran away long time ago.

All of their 'torrent' code and UI, is just a copy from that old 'torrentcoin"

their torrentpage.cpp torrentpage.ui is 100% clone from the old code.

https://i.imgur.com/8nCDc8a.jpg

Fail much?

The wallet UI overall is completely standard and again exact duplicate from the old "torrentcoin"

https://i.imgur.com/DFWCEkW.jpg

Even the same mistake in bitcoingui.cpp (same exact mistake with setStatusTip and setShortcut)

Magnetz - bitcoingui.cpp

Code:
    addressBookAction = new QAction(QIcon(":/icons/address-book"), tr("&Addresses"), this);
    addressBookAction->setStatusTip(tr("Edit the list of stored addresses and labels"));
    addressBookAction->setToolTip(addressBookAction->statusTip());
    addressBookAction->setCheckable(true);
    addressBookAction->setShortcut(QKeySequence(Qt::ALT + Qt::Key_5));
    tabGroup->addAction(addressBookAction);
    torrentPageAction = new QAction(QIcon(":/icons/magnet"), tr("&Torrent"), this);
    torrentPageAction->setToolTip(tr("Edit the list of stored addresses and labels"));
    torrentPageAction->setCheckable(true);
    torrentPageAction->setShortcut(QKeySequence(Qt::ALT + Qt::Key_5));
    tabGroup->addAction(torrentPageAction);

Torrentcoin - bitcoingui.cpp

Code:
    addressBookAction = new QAction(QIcon(":/icons/address-book"), tr("&Addresses"), this);
    addressBookAction->setStatusTip(tr("Edit the list of stored addresses and labels"));
    addressBookAction->setToolTip(addressBookAction->statusTip());
    addressBookAction->setCheckable(true);
    addressBookAction->setShortcut(QKeySequence(Qt::ALT + Qt::Key_5));
    tabGroup->addAction(addressBookAction);
    torrentPageAction = new QAction(QIcon(":/icons/magnet"), tr("&Torrent"), this);
    torrentPageAction->setToolTip(tr("Edit the list of stored addresses and labels"));
    torrentPageAction->setCheckable(true);
    torrentPageAction->setShortcut(QKeySequence(Qt::ALT + Qt::Key_5));
    tabGroup->addAction(torrentPageAction);

More over, Magnetz ANN is very similiar to STABLE ANN page which is also one of the scam ICO project (Check the roadmap phrase) both ANN is also self-moderated topic.

Check here:
Magnetz ANN (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=900716.0) *self-moderated topic
TorrentCoin ANN (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=633546.0)
STABLE ANN (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=886555.0) *self-moderated topic

Obviously Magnetz so-called 'dev' is just a team with good graphic designer but know nothing about coding.

People should be investing in real project not just some scammer, but I'm pretty sure they have some good connections with people from checking their thread.

vTorrent non-ICO coin is what people who wants 'torrent on blockchain' should be support and invest in.

LET'S STOP THE SCAMMER!

@pnoch:

the information you gathered is pretty interesting... Indeed Magnetz looks scammy to me, especially after I had the experience with STAB. They do too much popular movement, and too small technical info. Looks like technical part lags behind and the coin is driven by folks who do better in marketing, than in development... This is suspicious, I really don't like marketing-oriented people, and believe they rarely promote something good.

However one thing makes me nervous: you write "same exact mistake with setStatusTip and setShortcut". I am looking closely to those functions, but do not see any mistake... Could you please point to that..?

Any news Dev, or was just a scam to get $7000 in Christmas money.  Still could work if you released a wallet and bought back coins for sale.  U could scam twice!  May as well.  Also, your spelling sucks in the op. ::)

Is this coin abandoned?

The OP says 2.2 million max coins and 2% PoS inflation.

How then can the current coins outstanding be nearly 22 million already and the inflation is way higher?

Anybody know what the max cap supply is for this coin?  TIA
