We how ever do not publish a list of pools on nexusmining.com that we are using. Our main aim for a qaulity pool are reliability, fee structure and reject rate.. Going forward we will solo-mine a few coins and pass the fee savings to our users.

Our internal policy: "be a good crypto citizen". meaning is that we will at least use 2 different pools (in some cases we use up to four) for each coin. This is to preserve the decentralized nature of the crypto networks!

If we become aware that a pool is getting close to 50% share, we will switch away from that pool and use a backup instead.

No, it doesn't. It's very simple. Point your hashpower to a public pool like Eligius or sign a newly minted block yourself. If you cannot demonstrate the hashpower, you are a scam.

And what could that possibly prove ? Of course a ponzi like yours will pay out initially. That's irrelevant. Pirate and PBmining and BT trader and all the 29432 other ponzi's paid out perfectly. Until one day they no longer did. So will this ponzi.

Of course that will cost them a fair bit, which is good, but lets not give the impression that only proving hashrate is enough to warrant trust. You know.. there are many cases where public pools are under DDOS..malfunctioning and all kinds of problems that we can not influence
so we have our own and some public as well to maintain the QoS..we had some requests before, but if machine is down or pool unreachable we can not cover the loss..as we are big player we have special deals with some pools regarding lower fees, quicker payout etc...maybe in the future we will allow it.

Payouts will decrease slightly, as per difficulty level increases, we do keep upgrading our equipment and we consistently increasing our hashpower.

I'm very satisfied with Nexusmining, however I was reading some of these posts and wondering why people like raskul, and amhash are giving negative feedback,
so I did some research and found some interesting things, apparently raskul is a big time scammer, and amash operates a ponzi scheme outfit. I guess its always wise

What is their actual business registration info. A search of https://www.ic.gc.ca/app/scr/cc/CorporationsCanada/fdrlCrpSrch.html shows no "Nexus Cloud Mining". Legitimate companies follow the law and register with their government.

- Nexus Mining is legit, they're currently white labeling a respectable cloud mining provider.
- We're in an initial stage of evaluating Nexus Miner claims towards possible ASIC cooperation. We'll verify the performance and test results of their FPGA design.

However, this is not an apology and I should also state, for the record here, I am yet to be convinced by this operation.

Potential investing customers should still do their own due diligence when sending funds to any new business.

I will look forwards to some form of transparency from Nexus Mining before I decide to endorse their offerings.

How does that make them legit? They claim to buy the hardware and operate multiple datacenters.  Are you saying they are just renting hashrate elsewhere?
Besides, I think people will want to make their own judgement on who is a respectable provider. You might call GAWminer respectable, many would disagree. If nexus dont disclose who they buy their hashrate from, what their deal is (like contract duration etc..), this is meaningless. I could rent 10PH on nicehash for a while and resell perpetual contracts based on that. Would you call me legit ?

I know that other cloud mining company offering. The hash-rate, all of it, come from mining hardware. At least this is the situation until today.

If Im going to be wrong, Id rather be wrong warning against a ponzi that isnt one, than endorsing a scam.
Until the criteria listed in my thread are met, the score is going to remain what it is.

The thing to take into consideration here is that 99.9% of the companies in this industry who have shown success have done so by being totally transparent and making sure their customers feel secure in spending their money.

We are nearly in 2015 and (more than?) halfway through 25BTC block era.

I have all this info simply by studying the Nexus website and having studied it, there is nothing to show me any form of legitimacy.

I tend to be very dubious of stuff like this and a company at startup  puts out less info then BFL did back in the day about their operations rings alarm bells (and look how that turned out)

Yesterday a client of mine asked my opinion regarding https://www.nexusmining.com/ so I decided to check it out.

First impression - total scam.

The information regarding payouts is confusing and in fact - blatantly misleading.

I decided to see what will I earn if I mine with 1000 GH for one month. NexusMining say that "in 30 days you could earn 120.86 USD". So what does "earn" mean? For one month you have to pay rent of 470 USD (actually, if you try to move the slider, the price becomes 769 USD and no longer goes back to 470 USD - a bug?!?). So, what do they mean by "earn":

1. You will make 470 USD (rent) + 120.86 USD?
OR
2. You will lose 349.14 USD?

Having in mind that the network difficulty really high and 1000 GH is not that much, generating 590.86 USD for one month sounds impossible. So I decided to use a mining calculator and see what numbers come out.

It turns out that if you pay NexusMining 470 USD for one month for 1000GH of mining power, you will actually lose 349.14 USD at current bitcoin prices. Reaching a 0 ROI (actually 1 USD) will be possible ONLY if the bitcoin price goes to 1400 USD!

So, as e person who believes in bitcoin and the change for good that it has the potential to bring to the world, I get really annoyed (to say the least) by such "businesses". NexusMining, you are blatantly lying to people with little or no idea of what bitcoin or bitcoin mining is! You are a scam plain and simple and you and your kind are largely responsible for the bad aftertaste that people get when they think of their first and last interaction with Bitcoin.

Headups about nexusmining.com , since its mentioned as legit business i tried to buy small amount of hash for test purposes , guess what , its not even ponzi , its outright scam. I paid for small contract , btc went through , no hash credited. after 1,5 day they replied (from gmail address!?) and promised to look into. Another 24h+ passed , no replays , no hash.

They just copied whole of Genesis-Mining's website and they are not replying to their clients since it's inception !  >:( >:(

I can confirm this is a SCAM, I bought some power, got very low payouts, asked for a refund as per the TOS on their website with under 30 day refund policy. I am still waiting now, 5 days later, and now my account has been cleaned out, no GH's loaded nothing, no reply from them. Funny though still getting small payments everyday, will see how long that lasts.....

I'm with Nexus mining about a year and always had to press them to push through my purchases. Been getting very eratic payments lately and the payments according to bitcoin price never added up to me. Still getting daily payments though and never didn't get a payment.
