IRVING — The family of a 14-year-old Irving student arrested for bringing a homemade clock to school earlier this month has retained lawyers and is seeking to regain his science project from the Irving Police Department.

Ahmed Mohamed’s parents say they’ve un-enrolled their three children from the Irving School District “because of religious persecution” and have decided to home-school them. Mohamed’s arrest made national headlines, prompting invites from the White House, Facebook and other tech companies.

“The family says that Ahmed has been severely traumatized. The family wants justice and to ensure no family will ever have to experience what Ahmed went through again,” a press release sent Wednesday stated.

IRVING - A fourteen year old Muslim teen's education was severely disrupted after teachers alerted law enforcement that his homemade clock was a bomb, in MacArthur High School, Texas. The student, Ahmed Mohamed, was arrested on Monday, claiming he had built the clock for his engineering teachers. Though there has been no evidence of explosives within the device, Mohamed could be charged with a "hoax bomb", for apparently causing disruption amongst school staff. He has been described by The Dallas Morning News as a skilled student who can construct “his own radios and repair his own go-kart.”

The majorly conservative state has had issues with racial intolerance in the past. In February, Mayor Beth Duyne falsely stated that Muslims have opened a Sharia court in Irving, TX. “We have no information that he claimed it was a bomb,” [Police spokesman James] McLellan said. “He kept maintaining it was a clock, but there was no broader explanation.”

Last week, Bill Maher went off on all the liberals glomming on to Ahmed Mohamed, the Texas teen arrested for bringing a homemade clock to class that a teacher thought was a bomb. Maher said that liberals need to stop being so politically correct and consider that maybe in a world where young Muslims are making things to blow people up, it doesn’t hurt anyone to be a little cautious.

Well, tonight Maher kept going, saying that while he has nothing against Mohamed, “he did not invent anything!”

He said that he just put clock parts into something else and it “looked exactly like a bomb,” but Ron Reagan Jr. pushed back and said it lacked some of the important essentials of a bomb.

Maher told him teachers wouldn’t know that, and found it a little ridiculous that Google invited him to a big science fair as a result of this controversy.

The case of “Ahmed’s clock,” the recent comments by Dr. Ben Carson regarding a Muslim in the White House, and the ongoing debate about the Syrian refugee crisis has brought the discussion on Islam back to the forefront of American politics. The left continues to have this incessant desire to coddle and defend anyone they perceive to be the underdog or member of any allegedly oppressed minority group. In regard to Muslims, however, this ardent defense is completely at odds with liberal doctrine, and no one on the left except Bill Maher appears to be aware of this.

We have come to the point where the debate over Islam has resulted in people taking one of two extreme opposite positions. You’re either a bloodthirsty terrorist, willing to kill infidels at the drop of a hat in the name of Allah or, you are simply a wonderful, tolerant, peace-loving human being. In this debate, almost no one acknowledges that there is a middle ground. But there is a huge middle ground, and those that inhabit it should give progressive liberals, the champions of tolerance, equality, women’s rights and gay rights, much cause for concern.

Bill Maher seems to understand something that virtually none of his peers on the left understand. While the debate remains exclusively about “radical Islam,” ironically enough, you’ll often find that the most “moderate”, tolerant Muslims fit the exact description of the left’s perception of the stereotypical racist, sexist, homophobic, religious fanatic right-wing conservative that they profess to fear and loathe.

As Maher pointed out in a discussion earlier this year about radical Islam, “I’m a liberal in this debate. I’m for free speech. To be a liberal, you have to stand up for liberal principles. It’s not my fault that the part of the world that is most against liberal principles is the Muslim part of the world.”

The parents of Ahmed Mohamed, the Irving, Texas teen who brought a suspected “hoax bomb” to high school, claim that “Ahmed has been severely traumatized” by his high profile run-in with the law.

Mohamed served three days suspension following an arrest over the confusing-looking suitcase timepiece he crafted on his own volition, a 120 volt mass of circuitry and wires from a commercially dissembled clock. The high school freshman took it in to show off to his high school engineering teacher, who after seeing it advised him to put it in his locker. Instead, the teen brought it to his English class where he freaked out that teacher when the plugged in homemade experiment started to beep. “She was like, it looks like a bomb,” Ahmed Mohamed told news media. School district administrators and Irving police thought it resembled a bomb, too, however, no charges were filed.

Through a press release last Wednesday, the family insisted their son now suffers with severe trauma as a result of his ordeal. Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a very serious affliction often associated with prolonged military combat. Symptoms vary. They often surface within three months of a traumatic event, although, in some cases manifest years later. They must be ongoing for at least a month after an incident to be diagnosed. The Mayo Clinic lists a few key symptoms as memory flashbacks, avoiding talking about the traumatic event, inability to remember aspects of the traumatic event, negative feelings and hopelessness, trouble concentrating or sleeping, easily startled or frightened, and self-destructive behavior. PTSD’s many tell-tale signs make it difficult to go about daily life, go to school or work, be with friends, or take care of important tasks says the National Institute of Mental Health.

In spite of the purported trauma, the 14-year-old darling of social justice media made the rounds this week — from Google to Comedy Central to Dr. Oz and the United Nations. During his stint on The Nightly Show, Comedy Central host Larry Wilmore kibitzed with clock-in-a-box boy, asking if it was “cool” to get arrested.

Mohamed admitted it was “kind of cool.” He chirped, “The only reason I felt cool about it was because I knew I was innocent and I knew that if I took it to court I would win.” The audience roared in support of the teen who then calmly stood up and reenacted being handcuffed, wearing the same NASA t-shirt he sported in a slew of initial news media appearances.

PUEBLO, Colo. – A female high school student awaits a disciplinary hearing and could face expulsion for wearing a Halloween costume to school that prompted officials to lock down the building Wednesday.

An unnamed female student was spotted in the hallway at Pueblo County High School early yesterday morning wearing a gas mask and trench coat, and a classmate reported her to school officials, The Pueblo Chieftain reports.

The teen was hauled to the office where she was interrogated by the police, who also placed the school on lockdown for about an hour. The Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team, which was training near the school, also responded in full camouflage gear and a large armored vehicle to sweep the building for anything dangerous or suspicious. They found nothing, according to the news site.

A spokesman for the sheriff’s office told KKTV the girl said the outfit was a Halloween costume. She wasn’t carrying any weapons.

“Incidents like this cannot be overlooked and must be taken serious,” Pueblo County superintendent Ed Smith told the Chieftain. “Our concern is always for the students.”

“Clock boy” Ahmed Mohamed made it to Mecca Friday for umrah, the Arabic word for pilgrimage, the portion of his Middle Eastern tour sponsored by the Saudi government. The trip also included the 14-year-old’s parents and other relatives, including one uncle who pushed the Islamophobia narrative.

Ahmed recycled a comment made to American news outlets, telling Middle Eastern reporters: “It was really sad that she took the wrong impression of it and I got arrested.” He meant his English teacher who became alarmed when the plugged in unconventional looking homemade clock experiment started to beep in her class.

Ummid editorialized: “Local police insisted that Mohammed’s ethnicity had nothing to do with the decision to arrest him on suspicion of bringing a hoax bomb to school.” Breitbart Texas reported the arrest resulted out of federal and state safe school acts plus district Student Code of Conduct zero tolerance policies, not racism or Islamophobia.

Last week, Mohamed Elhassan Mohamed, family patriarch, shared 9/11 truther posts on his Facebook wall.

The clockmeister toured Al Thani’s namesake Hamad bin Khalifa University, followed by satellite campuses for Texas A&M University at Qatar (TAMUQ) and Carnegie Mellon, according to a QF press release.

This week, the teen and his family are expected to return stateside, meeting with President Obama and attending the White House astronomy night. Despite all the hype Ahmed put out over social media about bringing the clock-in-a-box to the White House, Irving police spokesman James McLellan confirmed for Breitbart Texas that “to the best of my knowledge,” the family has not yet retrieved the clock.

Since the week of Sept. 14, officers attempted to reach the Mohameds directly and through Anthony Cody, a local activist and family friend, who presented himself to law enforcement as a family representative, according to McLellan. On Sept. 23, Irving PD spoke to news media, debunking the family’s claims that the police will not release the timepiece. McLellan again emphasized to Breitbart Texas that Ahmed’s project is “not being withheld.”

Ahmed also filmed a promotional video to come meet “the clockmaker” at the Islamophobia touting Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) Oct. 17 “Champions for Justice” 21st Anniversary banquet held in Arlington, VA.

He has an outstanding arrest warrant from the International Criminal Court, for example, for allegedly orchestrating genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes in Darfur. The country he leads is under a variety of U.S. sanctions. His government harbored Osama bin Laden for five years in the 1990s. A leaked U.S. diplomatic cable published by WikiLeaks even suggested he may have secretly stolen $9 billion in oil money.

CNN FAIL: EFFORT TO RAISE MONEY FOR ‘CLOCK BOY’ AHMED FALLS FLAT





CNN failed in their recent effort to promote an online fundraiser for ‘Clock Boy’ Ahmed Mohamed. A donation drive fell far short of its $100,000 stated goal despite the news organization helping to bring worldwide attention to it.

On September 16 LaunchGood, an online “crowdfunding” site for Muslims worldwide, kicked off #IStandWithAhmed, a campaign to raise a $100,000 STEM scholarship, according to CNN Money.

The September 17 article explained how people rallied to support Ahmed “not just on social media but also with their wallets.” LaunchGood’s drive began the day before and hoped to raise $100,000 by an October 13 deadline. CNN pitched the cause du Ahmed with verve, telling the tale of “public outcry on social media and nationwide support” for the teen that included notables like President Obama and Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg. The effort came out of the gate strong, raising $10,000 from more than 200 backers in one day, noted CNN Money.

LaunchGood founder Chris Abdur-Rahman Blauvelt told CNN that the Mohamed family approved of the campaign. He said half the money donated would go toward a scholarship fund for Ahmed and the rest to efforts that foster creativity and inventiveness in kids. LaunchGood credits the project to Kyle Smith, a Dallas business co-owner who identifies as a Christian and places a “huge value on Inter-Faith relationships and action.” LaunchGood posted: “Covered on CNN, spread the word!” in one of numerous promotional tweets.

The donation drive fizzled, though, ending Tuesday with LaunchGood meeting only $20,045 of that $100,000 stated goal. However, the LaunchGood #IStandWithAhmed page proclaimed success, which is easy because the intended goal now reflects a much more modest $20,000. According to their newly embedded image, they exceeded their goal by $45.

Ahmed "Clock Boy" Mohamed will move to Qatar







After finally meeting President Obama last night, Ahmed Mohamed and his family plan to leave the United States for the foreseeable future.

Schools from across the country have made offers to Ahmed since he was arrested at Irving’s MacArthur High last month—his homemade clock confused with a hoax bomb, transforming him into a symbol of perceived anti-Muslim bias.

But apparently it was an offer from the Middle East that most intrigued the family. The Mohameds announced today that they’ve accepted a foundation’s offer to pay for the 14-year-old’s high school and college in Doha, Qatar, which Ahmed visited a few weeks ago as he began a world tour.

“Clock Boy” Ahmed Mohamed landed on TIME Magazine’s 30 Most Influential Teens of 2015. The publication announced this year’s crop of teen wonders with the 14-year-old among sports dynamos, up-and-coming Hollywood stars, kids of the rich and famous, young entrepreneurs, and a Nobel prize winning girls’ education activist who survived being shot by the Taliban.

Mohamed recently reunited with his confusing-looking metal suitcase timepiece, a 110 volt mass of circuitry and wires from a commercially dissembled clock. It sat at the Irving Police Department for over a month because no one in the Mohamed family picked it up, despite officer requests. Time magazine lost all credibility a long time ago, as far as I'm concerned, and these picks just further backs that up for me. The only one among that group that is even anywhere near deserving is Malala. What the hell has little Obama done? Jaden Smith? Really? He rambles on about nothing on Twitter all day long. Bindi Irwin has turned into a hottie, and she can obviously dance well and has done some great work in conservation, so she is ok too I suppose. Kylie and Kendall Jenner? What have they done other than start their short trek to follow in Kim's skanky footsteps? I don't know who those "Vine sensations" even are, so whatever. And, of course, Time being a liberal rag that it is, a tranny gets voted in and put in the same league as a girl who stood up against the Taliban even after being shot and nearly killed. Yeah, good job Time magazine. Stay classy

Anyway I think "a thousand" wasn't a serious estimate of how many Muslims have been bombing people. It's obviously much more then 1000 and much less than 1.6 billion. Most Muslims don't bomb people. They just celebrate it while repeating Allahu Akbar like a moron.

Lawyers Representing Ahmed “Clock Kid” Mohamed Demand $10 Million From City Of Irving


Attorneys representing the family of Ahmed “clock kid” Mohamed sent a letter to Irving, Texas, officials demanding $10 million in compensation for “damages” and written apologies from the city’s mayor and police chief.

The letter, obtained by Dallas Morning News reporter Avi Selk, gives city officials 60 days to “comply” with the demands or face “civil action addressing the causes of action and events” related to the infamous clock incident. […]

“For personal security reasons, Ahmed and family are in Doha, Qatar. However, when they feel safe again, all of them want more than anything to come home, to Irving, Texas,” the letter states.

This raises so many red flags. It is more than obvious that this was their intention all along. I fully believe this was a set up to postition themselves for a discrimination lawsuit. Now their true colors are showing. I'm sure they are hedging their bets on an out of court settlement because they know if it goes to trial then the investigators will pull out all stops and evidence will show this whole "clock" thing was a scam from the start. The family has a history of troublemaking. Now, this threat to sue if they don't get money is just another form of terrorism, which the family seems well versed in. Why did they feel the need to go to Qatar for "their safety" if they truly did nothing wrong? I hope so much that the school district and city call their bluff. I am willing to bet they will not file a suit. That whole family sickens me.
