If you had a lot of money or Bitcoins how would you help Bitcoin/ Bitcoin community/Bitcoin awareness?

first i will create a blog or website to explain about bitcoin and then i will give a lot of bitcoin giveaway

and then i am going to promote bitcoin to all investor and then i will build more atm machine and then i am going to held bitcoin event

First i will create a big ads on TV and internet about bitcoin. How its works, the price, speculation etc. and make people to use bitcoin also. and then bitcoin community will keep growing.

If I had the money I would just donate to people .1 btc. I think once people have their system set up it speaks for itself. This would force them to since it is still a decent amount of money for free

If I have a lot of bitcoins. I would help the bitcoin community,
by Making a business that always accepts bitcoin. hiring who knows more
in bitcoin and giving more and more discounts for using bitcoin while buying goods.
In that way, people will know that using bitcoin is better than using fiat. :P
But the first step I will do is to share the information about bitcoin to other like I'm doing now.

I only own few satoshis, but I am using it everyday to buy cellphone load and if I have to pay someone, I always ask if he/she is accepting bitcoins  :)

But if I have a lot of bitcoin, I'll put up a business and I will accept bitcoin as a payment...  :)

For now i dont have lots of bitcoins to start business but if i had lots of bitcoins someday i will help people to give some job like signature campaign

If I had a lot of Bitcoin, I would help spread Bitcoin by exchanging some and hiring journalists/writers from various high-end and well known news sites to write articles about Bitcoin, attempt to begin a startup that would offer discounts to Bitcoin users, and I would offer small lotteries or other similar games that would pay out in Bitcoin, but the tickets could only be purchased using Bitcoin.

Some days you got to use anything you can to appeal to investors, entrepreneurs, and gamblers to get them interested.

If i had Bitcoins i will start my Online Shopping Business with offer giving for Bitcoin payment users, so if anyone wants to buy they have to get Bitcoins and then they can Buy. In that website i will create a link which will redirect it to other site where i will put alll information regarding Bitcoin Technology and its benefits and how to earn also will be their. so the users can take benefit and earn the Bitcoins

Like this i am going to Create the awarness of Bitcoins in My community.

I would help/contribute to bitcoin ecosystem and bitcoin community if I have lots of bitcoins by
1. Running a full node to help securing bitcoin network.
2. Running a faucet for beginners.
3. Running a completions/challenge for bitcoin community.
4. Sponsoring any event to spread bitcoin to rest of the world.
5. Running a exchange/escrow kind of business with low fee.

Maybe if I had a lot of my bitcoin will donate. Or I will open the event to create a logo and presented many bitcoin, it may look more exciting and rewarding

I would most likely run a lot of contest in which the reward would be in Bitcoin. I think it's the easiest one in which I can make a contest on social networking sites and give the price in Bitcoin therefor those who don't know much about it, will have to do some research and as result they will get to know about Bitcoin itself.

First thing I will do (if I would have much more than it would be enough for me - limit this very hard to be arrived because I am very hungry about bitcoin :) ) would be to find good developers which know excellently the peer to peer technology (theoretically and practically). Will use all the possible ways to have contact with people. Offering bitcoin, using all the known people and contacts, using contacts founded in internet, making publicly announcements about excellent rewards and offering all the needed conditions and respect for their knowledge and giving them a very high status if would like to collaborate with me. Then after the fulfill all the above mentioned (and even other specific reasonable requests by everyone of them) will give them open and almost unconditional freedom to create applications or full products based in such technology. Giving all the needed money to fulfill their invention. Attention: is told "almost conditional freedom". The "almost" have to do with me. If I really had a lot of money, I would put up a site selling products at a discount in bitcoin. Then I would try to promote the site. If people can buy cheaper in Bitcoin, they will likely learn how to use it without insisting on it.

I think each of us should share about bitcoin with our friends, people around us, in media etc.
When people see that many people talking about this subject they will become couriou and start to investigate.
More interest means more bitcoin users.
More users will attract more merchants which accept bitcoin and eventually we will become mainstream.

If I ever did have a lot of Bitcoins I'd HODL them and not dump xD (hopefully helping the price do it's job without much of the dump having an influence on it).

But on a honest note, I'd be more encouraged to write about it and giveaway small amounts to encourage others to pitch in and learn about it.

I would create short stories and upload in youtube and maybe produce an television advertisement about Bitcoins. Right now my car is running around with a big Bitcoin logo at the rear shield, same goes to my scooter.

If I had a large amount of BTCitcoins, I would have run so many contest on social networks and give rewards in BTCitcoin on a weekly basis plus would have invested into a big mining farm so I could help into contributing to the network itself and help inject some BTCitcoin back in the long run.

Anything to create positive exposure. Whenever I'm at the poker tables at a Casino, I almost always bring up Bitcoin in one way or another and how it is so convenient for online poker and sports betting. Almost everyone at first thinks you have to be some kind of hacker to use it, but once you explain it a bit, there is enough intrigue for them to explore buying a few mBTC.  All about spreading the word.

Well I'd make turning fiat coins into bitcoins an option.

You dump all your pennies, quarters, nickels, dimes etc. into the machine and it sends the equivalent BTC to an address of your choice. Of course less a percentage, but a smaller percentage than what it takes to turn it into dollar bills.

The way I see it working, you generate a payment address QR code either on your phone or print it up at home and the machine scans the QR code and you click to verify the address is yours, Then you dump your coins. When it is done counting, you click finished and it sends the BTC.

I think you are right, kids are not buying bitcoins, well not now at the moment if you ask me, never heard about a kid that bought bitcoins because they are of course pretty pricey for kids.

I would target the non tech/average people. It's better to give readings in your local place to make people more aware of Bitcoin. Show them in detail how everything works and speak in easy to understand language. Don't go too much in detail at the beginning as some people might get bored when things are too technical.

I would send an email to every online merchant that I use and ask if they could add Bitcoin payments. If enough people do this then the business's will listen to their customers.

there is a lot of things that each of us can do.

the best thing to do IMO is when somebody has a shop, service,... and adds bitcoin as payment method to their service. for example if you have a shop put up a "bitcoin accepted here" sign and print out a QR code of your wallet address. this is the best option since it adds a practical method in real world for bitcoin and speaks better than a thousand words.

if you don't have that you can still support the bitcoin network by running a full node.

and all of us bitcoin users can help bitcoin grow by introducing it to our friends and family. just help them by setting up a wallet for them or even giving them some BTC in order to get them started.

I help the people around me understand Bitcoin and what it can mean for them now a lot people are sick and tired of banks. More can I not do.

I would help by educating people, first and foremost. The more people we can have working benefits the economy and might push people towards higher education, which is a net benefit for humanity. I would help people get educated by paying for their education via Bitcoin, getting them involved with it, and, among other things, maybe invest in some startups that people have using Bitcoin. Physical businesses though, since there are far too many scams online these days.

As you said there are plenty of websites with info about Bitcoin there is bitcoin.org, there is bitcoin wikie and bitcoin.com. I don't think we need more of that.
What we lack is site where people could potentially earn bitcoin, everyone. I am not talking about faucet, captcha solving services and other bs like that. You are not gonna profit from it.
I am talking about site where you will be offered bitcoins for doing stuff, but not just peanuts, serious bitcoins for job everyone could do online. I think it is doable.

I would consider giving donations (in form of bitcoins) to charitable institutions. I would request that my donation be used to fund a project for the benefactors to be given a source of livelihood or income, where they would make handicrafts, pastries, home decor, which would then be sold online and payment would, as you might guess, bitcoin. That way, I'd be able to hit two birds with just one stone.

If I had a lot of extra Bitcoins, I would create a generous faucet where people could gather ыatoshi. And also I hired a programmer that would have created a simple game in which you can earn real Satoshi that would lead to an interest in Bitcoin children. Another would be organized any campaign donations. For example there are a lot of talented young musicians, programmers, etc. I would have paid for their work.

It would be nice of I can make it more popular and that Bitcoin will be the future payment method and that is not happen so easily so we all have to do it together.

I would help enhance the bitcoin awareness by conducting campaigns at different places. Like what is bitcoin, when did bitcoin start, who invented bitcoin, what are the different ways to earn bitcoin and the risks of it, pros and cons of bitcoin, and many more.

And if i am rich from bitcoin i will help those who live in the streets. Donate some of it at charities or orphanage. Give scholarships to the out of school youths. :)

I use the bitcoin to buy good online. I can only buy computer related parts in my country. Otherwise I will use it more.

Me also in my country bitcoin offering cellphone load and it really a big help for me because i always need a load. Bitcoin is good help for me in terms on financial problem because it helps me to increase my monthly revenue to sustain my expenses.

I don’t have lot of money but I am still contributing in bitcoin awareness. I posted a series of articles in my native language on my blog trying to cover maximum aspects related with it. Now, If I had lot of money (it depends what lot means), I would create ecommerce store and give decent amount of discounts and cash back (in bitcoins) on each and every product for the buyers who pays in bitcoins. I believe giveaway is not an option (because free is always free and earned is always valued), so I would try to make people start using bitcoins (in a wise manner and more frequently).

i think when the price reaches the $1000 price level again, that the media attention will draw a lot new people to bitcoin. that's probably the best advertising bitcoin can have as it will be a world wide news item.

Yeah its helping an adoption of bitcoin but lending bitcoin has become really risky nowadays as you cannot afford to trust the person standing at opposite end.

It would really depend on how large a pile of BitCoins you had:

If it were up to a thousand BTC then realistically speaking you could only give them away to people already in the industry for small projects, eg crowd funding, help (yet another) Altcoin to launch. (see below)

Bitcoin ia connected to the internet so if I would be rich I would probably be giving free satoshis for some quiz in social medias. That way people will start to create their own accounts and would want to gain some more. It could be a good opportunity also to give some information about how bitcoin can be a convenience to all.

I will start a live forum. Rent a good place where there is free snacks and drinks, make some seats and a visual equipment. Start talking about it without making them bored. Games could be included with bitcoin prizes. Also put 5 to 10 computers with internet and teach them to make accounts give some free mBTC for them to know the price of it. i am quite sure that a lot people here that are saying "i will help by doing this or that" will in reality not do anything. people are here for themselves. their first and only priority is to earn money. that can be done with all kinds of methods. one does it with signature campaigns, the other does it with trading, another person does it with offering services. but it's always focused on themselves.

If I had some extra funds to give away I would donate to abandoned animals shelters or to protect endangered species. I'm very sensitive about animals. I donate to that purpose in fiat but I can't remember any web page or organization of this kind who accepts Bitcoin donations.

I'm going to hire some journalist and a broadcasting station to publish some articles about bitcoin and to broadcast bitcoin for all the people to know what bitcoin can do to improve and change our life. I know that most of us already know that many bitcoin users are now already millionaires because of bitcoin. the easiest way that any of us can help bitcoin is to start spending it. or at the very least have it in a corner of your mind that bitcoin is not only an investment but also a great currency, a great way of online payment.

I think all of us with same strategy to promote bitcoin one thing is very hard is to convince more people to use bitcoin and most of the people do not want to believed and they think it is only wasting their time in working in bitcoin.

By simply being in this community, we're already helping the bitcoin community. Being open to other people that you're using bitcoin will increase the chances of having another member in this community. We're all tired of all these social media pages keeps using bitcoin being used for shady activities as their topic. Yes those are true and it's really happening but it's also happening in fiat currencies. At first people would question why I am using bitcoins and when they see that I'm already having some success with bitcoin, they'll surely come to me and ask me how do I do it.

That's really good getting money each month to help your family and economy is good when you are paying bills at home and you are buying goods or foods for them if you are really hard working man anything is posible and you can reach what ever you want in bitcoin.

Yeah, i get sad when i hear news about bitcoin used for bad things because i am also having that. People will think you are just like that bad person from the news but they are wrong about it. They don't see the beauty of bitcoin. They don't know how convenient it is to use.

Not at all. Most of them are convinced that the article that they have read is more credible than you are. It's not our responsible if their thinking is like that. We don't have to convince them, most of them will just be another user to spoon feed anyway. However, if people are talked about "how to earn money", once you've mentioned the word 'money', their mind lights up because everybody wants money. Maybe use that to catch their attention and make them interested.

I do not think bribery will be the solution because it wil mess up everything at the end even if it is good in the first place. Instead of giving bribe, why not we use the money to create awareness campaign through media publicity so that people can understand and adopt bitcoin in more numbers, you the people's interest matters a lot and majority carry the vote.

I can't for sure. But the media will, every time there is a success story  that pops out people gets interested in what and how do they do it. For example a 14 yo old boy reach 1 Million dollars just by trading his lunch money. that sort of headline will make people get interested in what he specifically do. If there is a millionaire because of bitcoin he would be instantly recognize by the media by now and make a headline out of it.

I d set up a fund based on very safe BTC investments, differentiate in a few different projects. Profits from these I would allocate on a monthly basis on helping people in need, seeking medical assistance, homeless, families having a lot of children ETC.

I think the only thing that i can he with bitcoin is to promote it via blogging this is what i am doing right now .. for additional organic traffic in SEO methods.. That's easy to say dude but in reality not all people are willing to use bitcoin, though this person that you are trying to educate are well capable enough to understand but with lack of trust they will not be interested.

Better choose the group you want to educate, and it should fit on their needs and wants.

This is what I am doing, I am educating my friends and classmates about what bitcoin is. And so far, some of them are believing and wants to invest in bitcoin already. And while I am able to help the adoption of bitcoin, what I'm doing is putting some funds for the consumption of some of services while I have my own holding funds.

I don't think one trader can affect the price of bitcoin. Even in stocks, several foreign investors control the price of a stock they even manipulate it to their will and not only one. Also by controlling it you must have an enormous amount of money in order to influence the market, that is why small time investors can't drive single handedly a stock price.

the best way to help using bitcoin is a way to redeem bitcoin with dollars that can be used by every person in need, if you do not want to like it, you might be able to buy them something using bitcoin, and if it's complicated, you can teach them how to look for bitcoin and gives a little bitcoin that you have for them. there is always a way to help  ;)

I agree with the idea of having a retail company using bitcoin but I'm a little bit concerned about the idea of bitcoin in school. I mean teaching children what bitcoin means and what it can help is good because that will widen their knowledge about new technology but I'm afraid that they will be addicted to bitcoin as there are many gambling stuffs that deals with bitcoin and I think that they don't need to know about this too soon.

Cool. Actually I have done that before but it seems it cant reach some of the people. Some other ways should be created that will make them excited with it. My idea is still sending money faster and cheaper in relatives that are far away.

That is up to the kids. If they know how to gamble online, then that means they already know how to play it in real life in the first place. At least you educated them about bitcoin. I think social media is a great tool for advertisement but it is still depends on the context of the article or being advertised to catch the attention of the reader.  We should trigger their curiousness in order for them to research more about bitcoin and if they found out that Bitcoin will give them a good earning potential then join the bitcoin economy.

I agree with you. Giving a non-bitcoin user that big amount of btc will just go to waste. They don't know how to use it and they will not appreciate its value. Even if you said that it is a big amount of money, they will not bother exerting an effort to learn about bitcoins unless you force them to do so. Better give that money to a bitcoin user or educate your friend first about bitcoin before you give him that money.

I think the best would be to make more news on TV about it or create a magazine, dedicated to Bitcoin and interview famous people, make quizzes on the topic with some valuable prices etc. I don't think that investing money in some casinos would be more helpful.

But I don't think there would be any need of big funds to organise such a seminar or bitcoin awareness meetings.

Because, I believe there are a lot of bitcoin enthusiastic people will be around and they also must be willing to contribute to bitcoin ecosystem by spreading awareness about it. If we find such people we can have seminars with the very less budget itself.

For me, maybe i can help through teaching people about bitcoin. To raise awerenese about bitcoin, I can help by simply moderating forum discussions or by joining other discussions. We must help and respect newbies because if we allow them to learn the right way. There is a higher chance that they will spread the word  and will share their positive experience about bitcoin.

I think in my own capacity what I can do is to get more people interested in Bitcoin (let them understand the advantages it has over fiat especially in terms of inflation), I have been able to get one of my friends to invest in BTC and have told more and are thinking about it. Well that's a good idea for helping others to start with bitcoin. Letting them borrow your bitcoins for a start up is a nice idea. But i think it can be a business also. Lending business for bitcoin start up. It can be done by letting others borrow your bitcoin and putting an interest to it. Just like a money lending business. By this, you have helped, but then you also gained profit. 

I wonder how many people are you going to help and how much money are you going to give them. I just don't think letting people borrow your bitcoins is a good idea. They can propose a project with you that requires a huge amount of money and then just disappear the next day. You wouldn't be able to take the money back since you can't cancel bitcoin transactions. I believe that everybody has fiat money and if they sincerely want to be involved in bitcoin business, they will use their own money as a capital.

I'd probably buy an ad space in the capital city where's the biggest concentration of people and also print out shirt for people to walk around and promote btc, just for people who are passing to notice and remember the btc logo, then I'd organize like a conference where proffesionals and bussinesmans who adopted bitcoin, would talk about it and get the people more familiar with btc, or a little festival where a lot of buainesses can promot e their services but the demonstrations and payment will be mostly be based on btc, also let's say the first 100 to buy tickets recieve a 50$ voucher for that conference/fest.

First of all, i don't think that bitcoin need help, and now i have money not too much but enough, and when i know about bitcoin  and then i realize if i invest in bitcoin than definitely bitcoin give me profit.
