Title: [ETH] ethpyramid.tk Dynamic Pyramid *Highest Volume* 0% Fee for 50+ Ether
Post by: tubbyjr on February 23, 2016, 09:10:09 PM
PROMO 0% Fee promo for 50+ Ether, 1% fee for less than 50 Ether.

NEW SITE http://ethpyramid.tk

NOTICE ABOUT/TO COPYCATS This is the only pyramid contract I am running. The other ones like Diana/Rubixi are copycats. They are free to use the code just as much as anyone else, I just want to make it clear I have zero association with any of them, as some have used my name.

Now, to the copycats, DO NOT POST HERE, advertising or otherwise attacking me with any conspiracy theories. I am not filing copyright infringements against you, and do not plan to, and definitely don't have the time to. Keep your conspiracy theories to yourselves. If you do have a false copyright claim issue, you may PM me, and I can help you out and get it lifted, because I will tell the source it is not an infringement.

WARNING: Do not send directly from Exchanges or Wallet Contracts. Send to the contract using only personal addresses.

UPDATE: Our site is now live at http://ethpyramid.meteor.com/ (http://ethpyramid.meteor.com/)

I've been around the bitcoin scene for a while, and I've been a pretty ardent bitcoin supporter and have done some previous development around bitcoin, catered around trading applications as bitcoin's main purpose was that of a currency.

Ethereum is actually the first Crypto that has peaked my interest once more, bitcoin was supposed to be all about decentralization, yet one thing I always hated was that most transactions were done with or through a centralized party. That is why I'm thankful for smart contracts :). Why a pyramid you ask? Even with bitcoins, I've found it was one of the best way to distribute coins, in its early days, the greatest downfall of them were scamming owners. With smart contracts, we can avoid that, and limit/nullify the power of owners.

My goal with this pyramid is to keep it running for much longer than other pyramids, as other pyramids usually have too many people, waiting for payout, and then it dies, this pyramid's payout can be lowered all the way to 1.2x if needed, to ensure payouts happen. I hope to gain enough data from this, to set up a fully automated and decentralized version, which will change the payout multiplier and other variables as needed to ensure payouts are happening as regularly as possible.

**NOTE: DO NOT SEND FROM EXCHANGES, YOU MUST SEND FROM A PERSONAL ADDRESS (NOT A CONTRACT), AS THAT IS WHERE THE ETHER WILL BE RETURNED TO**

The contract address is: 0xa9e4e3b1da2462752aea980698c335e70e9ab26c

To send using geth or eth:
eth.sendTransaction({from: eth.coinbase, value: web3.toWei(1, 'ether'), to: '0xa9e4e3b1da2462752aea980698c335e70e9ab26c', gas: 500000})

or replace eth.coinbase with primary or your actual account string such as '0x0c5437b0b6906321cca17af681d59baf60afe7d6'

Easiest way is with Mist or Ethereum wallet, and adding the address under watch contract. If anyone needs a tutorial on that, let me know and I'll post a video.

Basic info:
  • Minimum of 1 Ether is required to be entered into the pyramid
  • The first 10 to enter the pyramid will have a promotional 3x payout applied to their payouts
  • 11-25 will get 2x payout, and after that the pyramid will switch to 1.5x payout so the pyramid doesn't get too large and people keep getting payouts
  • The fee is 10%, however, it is not applied to your payout, it is applied to your initial transaction e.g. you send 10 ether, 9 goes into the pyramid's payout balance, and 1 goes to fees, however, you will still get a payout of 15 ether down the line, if the payout multiplier was 1.5x when you sent the transaction
The payout multiplier can be changed, from 1.2x to 3x. It will be changed depending on speed of payouts. The multiplier that applies to you is the one at the time of your transaction, changing the multiplier thereafter has no effect on your expected payout.
  • The fee can be changed
  • Sending 50 ether or more gives you a 50% fee rebate e.g. if fee is 10%, and you send 100 Ether, only 5% fee will be applied, rather than the regular 10%.

The contract itself holds most of the relevant info you need, such as the balance of the pyramid, when next payout will be, and the list of who is in the pyramid, and their expected payout. The 3x payout promo will be ending February 25, 2016 7pm UTC. So 24 hours from this post. Thereafter, the payout for 1-10 lowered to 2x if they're not filled up.

So are people interested in any specific payout before I change the payout in ~15 minutes? It can be anywhere from 1.2x to 3x.

To answer your question on the ether forum:
Yes, i think it is because you have no website.

Better say: Why use some script from a forum if you can invest in the 'original' doubler @ ethereumpyramid.com
Which has already a increasing userbase and funds in the wallet.

Or has your contract some advantages?

Don't get me wrong, i like the idea and the fact that it's 'trustless'.
But without a real 'killer-feature' that seperate you from the other projects i don't see a future for it.

Maybe when the Bitcoin-Ether Bridge Technologie (like rootstock.io) is ready and it's possible to combine Smart Contracts and Bitcoin.

The advantage this pyramid has over the others is that it has a dynamic/variable/adaptable payout and fee. In that they can be changed, to ensure regular payouts.

With the traditional pyramids, as the pyramid grows, it tends to end up at a standstill of sorts. Ethereumpyramid for example, I made an excel sheet which can perfectly show this, it has a 3x payout, 10% fee. If you're the 100th guy into the pyramid, you won't get paid until the pyramid grows to ~331 people. The 200th guy won't get paid until 661. As you see, the pyramid has to grow exponentially, to keep payouts rolling. I won't even comment about the etherdoubler.com contract, I already said all that needs to be about it.

My contract, on the other hand, will change the payout, they are changeable from 3x - 1.2x, so for example, let's assume on my contract, you're the 100th person, and payout was 1.2x and 10% fee, you would get paid out after the 133th entrant rather than having to wait for 331, and 200 would get paid at 265, rather than 661. As you can see, my dynamic pyramid doesn't require unsustainable growth, as the other ones. And, if the payouts are coming out fast, and money coming in fast, we can increase payouts to people to maximize their returns.

This is why this contract is much more superior, and I can only agree with your point, that people are weary because there is no site, which I will contemplate making, however, the whole reason that attracted me to Ethereum was PURE decentralization, so I kept even the interface side, purely on the blockchain. All info on the contract is AVAILABLE through the Ethereum blockchain, by using the JSON interface.

Disclaimer: I actually have put in Ether into both of those contracts, just so there's no misunderstandings, however, after looking through the code of etherdoubler and seeing how badly it was coded and that I would likely never get anything back at this size of the pyramid, I decided to make my own pyramid, a much more improved version. And as stated in my original thread, currently I have control over the variables such as payout/fee, but what I HOPE to do is learn from this contract if people get active into it, and created a fully AUTONOMOUS version of it, where the owner doesn't decide payouts or fees, but the contract itself, depending on how much ether is coming and other variables i'll learn during the course of this. My goal with this contract is to have this become the most successful pyramid in terms of size and payouts.

This ETH doubler looks even more interesting than the others. I can see that the concept is pretty unique with dynamic payout rates and fees. I will give it a try during the weekend if the contract is still working. Great job!  :D

Site is currently in development, and just applying some finishing touches on it, which should encourage more participation in this contract. Once we pass 10 participants, fee will be lowered.

The first payout has been completed, 3 ether trasnferred for 1 ether: EtherscanLink - Check Contract Invoked Transactions (http://etherscan.io/address/0xa9e4e3b1da2462752aea980698c335e70e9ab26c)

Some people are looking at the fees negatively, however, I will be reinvesting much of it back into the contract, which in turn will help you towards getting your payouts.

This contract cannot be stopped or deleted. It will go on for as long as the Ethereum blockchain and network exists, another huge pro. Some other contracts I have seen, allow the owner to close the contract, and deposit any leftover funds to themselves. Not this one, this one has NO kill function.

Sweet. That is definitely a good thing to keep using the contract for long term. I will give it a try later and see how it works. How long would it take to receive payout, if may I ask?  :)

How quickly you get your payout, depends on how often people are putting ether into the contract. So far 3 payouts have been completed, and everyone who put ether in has received their payouts within 24 hours. I will try to keep it as speedy as possible, if contract slows down, I'll lower payout multiplier further, to ensure speedier payouts. Since the pyramid is still small, payouts are very fast atm.

Also note, there is only ONE 3x payout spot left.

Site is up and running at http://ethpyramid.meteor.com/ (http://ethpyramid.meteor.com/)

Open with mist browser or a local geth node running to get full contract details.

EDIT: Deposits seem to be coming in quite quickly now with the site :) and payouts too, seems there were about 2 new payouts of 3 ether each since I posted this.

This is absolutely fantastic. The site looks really great. I am going to try it out. Say, will the 3x payout be available like before of has it already ended? Nevertheless, this looks like a great way to double your ETH.  :)

Thanks on the compliments, I was working to get it looking just right and give it a "Ethereumy" look, if that makes any sense :p.

Anyways, yes, we may run 3x payout again, depending if people want it. I'm actually posting here to ask what people would be interested in again. I won't run the 3x payout again, until we pass a certain milestone, like 100 participants. I'll likely add it back in for ~100 - 110.

What I actually wanted to inquire is what payout people want now. You can choose from 1.2x to 2.0x (Note, with 1.2x your payouts will be much faster) Again, remember, this doesn't affect those that already sent their ether, you will get whatever the payout was when you originally deposited.

Another note, I will lower the fee, depending on the payout you want. For 1.8x, I will lower it to 8%. for 1.6x to 6%, 1.4x to 4%, and 1.2x to 2%.

Please leave your feedback, I want this pyramid to succeed, and gather enough data so in the future, I can make a fully autonomous pyramid.

That sounds great! How do I choose the payout rate on the dapp? Anyways, I will use your pyramid app once Mist wallet finishes with the syncing process (since it is taking too long) I will gladly leave feedback here once I receive my payout.  :)

Payout rate is 2x at the moment.

I'm inquiring right now, what people want the next payout rate to be. Just post here Abiky, which one you'd prefer, and then if a few other people post the same wishes, I'll change rate anywhere from 1.2x to 2x, until people feel they want a different rate.

A total of 14 deposits have been done by people. 7 of those people have been paid out for a total of 21 ether at this point :).

2x payout rate seems fine to me but if it were to make payouts faster then 1.2 would be okay. About the payouts, I would like some clarification about it. Does it mean that once I deposit 1 ETH, I would get paid after someone else deposits ETH too, am I correct?  :)

Exactly, when you deposit, you're basically paying someone else out, and when the person after you deposits, they are paying you out. That's how a pyramid system works. Normally, the failure of a pyramid system is it gets too large, as I mentioned before, and the higher the payout, the more people are needed to start procuring payouts, but the biggest failures of pyramids have been owners running away with pyramid funds. Since this is a smart contract, this is not possible, as the contract has no functions that stop its operations, or withdraw the balance.

Thanks for the information. That is good to know since the pyramid will keep running as long as it gets "fueled" by ETH. Being a smart contract, makes it better than those so called Bitcoin Doublers in which the owner has the ability to take the funds with him. With smart contracts, that is not the case.  ;D

I am still waiting for wallet sync to complete. Can't wait to get started.

If you're having syncing problems, download the newest homestead ethereum wallet, and sync with that wallet first. And then after your sync'd, open up your mist browser. The new wallet has much faster syncing. https://github.com/ethereum/mist/releases/tag/0.5.1 (https://github.com/ethereum/mist/releases/tag/0.5.1)

Also, within a few days I will be lowering the payout, so get in while the 2x payout is still available.

The contract is now listed on http://dappcentral.io/ (http://dappcentral.io/) and http://dapps.ethercasts.com/ (http://dapps.ethercasts.com/) so hopefully that spurs even more people to join on in.

Also, working further on the site, to allow you to see your payout details and where you are in the payout order.

That is definitely the ideal choice to attract more people to deposit into the ETH Pyramid. I have checked the site once more, and now there has been one more deposit into it. Hopefully, it will grow more when people notices it on the Dapps site. As for me, I still haven't been fully synced yet but I will get there. Can't wait to try this pyramid.  :D

Syncing should take ~15 minutes tops. From block 0.

Maybe you should retry, just by using geth, and set the '--fast --cache 512' CLI arguments.

Although I would recommend making a backup of your chaindata folder first, in AppData/Roaming/Ethereum

Thanks for the tip. Now I am fully synced. I have sent 1 ETH to the pyramid app to test how it works. Is the payout 2x or has it been lowered? (just asking because now I see more deposits made than before) Nevertheless, I will be awaiting for the payout as soon as the pyramid gets more deposits.  ;D

You have to re-enter, payout right now is 1.5x, lower than the promo 3x payout but this is so you still get your payment promptly. With the 1.5x payout, people with higher balances are more likely to participate too, since they will get their deposits back faster too.

Also, you can enter multiple times, the pyramid keeps track of all deposits.

Thanks for the information. I checked my ETH account this morning and now I have more ETH than before! First I had 2.69 ETH, then sent 1 ETH to the pyramid and now I have 3.19800954 Ether in total balance. This really works! I am going to make another deposit real soon. Etherscan is your best bet for showing the actual transactions, for some reason, etherchain is inconsistently tracking internal transactions.

Thanks for recommending me this block explorer. I guess it is better to use this one than Etherchain. Although, I checked my address on the other block explorer you gave me, but the balance is the same (as well as transactions) on Etherchain. Nevertheless, I will use Etherscan more for checking regularly my account.

About the pyramid, I would like to see that it is growing very fast. The number of deposits made have increased substantially and this means that it is getting the attention it deserves. It will be a very popular dapp.  :D

Thank you for your work  :D

Try making a backup of your chaindata folder, or run a new one using --datadir "your/custom/directory/here" and then include the following arguments in geth: --fast --cache 512  (assuming you have a few GBs of RAM).

Process takes about 15 minutes to sync on my pc from block 0 to most recent one, at least when using the newest homestead wallet.

OP, please check contract order #10 in pyramid, 4 ETH payout.  Looks like it went to the wrong address a few days ago.  I sent 2 ETH on March 6 and have not received any payout.  Best I can tell from Etherscan is that it went to the address in the #11 slot somehow.

wow this is getting popular

See how much activity happened in the past 4 hours:
https://www.etherchain.org/account/0xa9e4e3b1da2462752aea980698c335e70e9ab26c#txreceived

Payout times are already down to under 2 hours now.

The deployment on the DApp lists is clearly increasing the popularity, and the weekend is just getting started.
This is so much fun, thx for your work man  :D

@Keyser, you sent from a wallet contract. I'm pretty sure the ethereum dev team said inter-contract transactions between wallet contracts and others are going to fail, until homestead possibly. Contracts can't automatically allocate enough gas for other contracts, hence the transaction fails, as it tried sending it to your wallet contract, but your wallet contract consumed all the gas.

On the first page of this posting, I mentioned to make sure you use a PERSONAL ACCOUNT ADDRESS.

And on the site I have made it clearer now too, to NOT SEND FROM WALLET CONTRACTS. They should be renamed Vault or Savings Contracts, as you shouldn't do inter-contract transactions with it.

It's actually working even better than expected and calculated, 149 people have deposited, and only 34 are awaiting payout, and that's with a 1.5x payout, I thought I would have to have payout at 1.2x to get those results :).

Well that completely blows.  You say my 4 ETH return evaporated in thin air because I sent from my "wallet" and not form my "account".  I used the tab on your webpage titled "Send using Ethereum Wallet" by the way so you should probably change that wording too.  I'm surely not the only one that will lose ETH because of this little detail.  No more dapps for me.

That is why I said the ethereum dev team needs to rename it to a vault or savings account, try doing a transaction on other DApps, same thing will happen. You are not supposed to send to other contracts, using contracts. What was your address, if you need me to, I can send a refund for the initial amount you sent, even though I did instruct on the first page of this thread, to make sure you're sending from a personal account address, a contract wallet isn't that and neither is an exchange.

PLEASE REMEMBER THIS, TREAT YOUR WALLET CONTRACT AS A SAVINGS OR VAULT ACCOUNT. ONLY WITHDRAW FROM IT TO YOUR PERSONAL ADDRESSES, NEVER SEND DIRECTLY INTO ANOTHER CONTRACT WITH IT.

A poll has been added today, March 11th, to see what payout new entrants would like to see most. Remember, lower payout does mean you get it even faster, however, you can also choose higher payout, as payouts are pretty fast as is at the moment. I Will let you guys vote for 2 days, and then close the results, and set the payout to whatever has the most votes :). This is the dynamic pyramid, the power is in your hands to choose what payouts you wish to see.

Thanks for the reminder. I have already voted for the benefit of the pyramid. Considering how active it has been going around lately with deposits I think that the safe bet would be a rate in which payouts would be paid faster, but also a value not too high nor too low. I think this is the most popular ETH pyramid yet.  ;D

There should be a link that allows you to vote, even if you see the vote results, as long as you haven't voted yet. I'm guessing most people will choose to keep it at 1.5x anyways tbh, although I personally recommend bringing it down to 1.4x for now to keep it going at a good pace, but I want to leave the ultimate power in the hands of you guys, and what you guys want, to keep deposits coming.

It looks like I've run into a similar issue with the wallet contract.  I was not aware until after the fact that ETH could not be sent from a wallet contract to the pyramid. I heard about this through a friend and went to the site and sent ETH from 'Send using ETH wallet'.  In order for my ETH to not be lost into the abyss is it possible to receive a refund back to the same account  (0x138506dc8b869497095E758a4617737515943A8b) ? If so I'll move that ETH to a personal wallet account and deposit even more back into the pyramid.

Since this was done after several warnings to not use wallet contracts, the max I can return to you is 10 ether, as it would be coming from my own account. Please tell me if this is acceptable and sufficient for you. You do not have to reinvest it into the contract, I just don't want people getting discouraged from DApps because of a stupid hiccup. I also do not want to make these refunds an expected thing either, it is your responsibility to make sure you're not sending from an exchange, or wallet contract or some other contract, it needs to be a normal account address. 96% of people are sending correctly.

In the future, I highly recommend, whatever contract you are participating in, send the BARE MINIMUM at first, and see if it does what it says it does, and always use Etherscan.io to check if things happened as they should. At least while Ethereum is still in its 'beta' phase.

1.5x should be fine, but I think it could be lowered just a little to speed up payments...I just sent 1 ETH yesterday, but still awaiting payment from pyramid. I have seen that there have been other deposits made after mine, but it makes me wonder why I haven't got my ETH yet? (since I thought it was that payments were to be sent after a deposit from another user, or am I wrong?) Sorry for asking, but I just want to clarify some doubts regarding this since I am a little confused with how exactly the pyramid works.  ???

But still, I will be patiently waiting until the next payment, and hopefully be able to deposit more ETH into it.  ;D

You just have to be a bit patient until it's your turn to be paid out.
I have received all of my payouts so far and reinvested my profits into the pyramid. I've made quite some money already.

Some days are quicker than others, it differs from day to day. Sometimes I'd had to wait a few days to get paid out, and another time like yesterday I only had to wait 2 hours. But overall, the payouts are now faster on current days compared to 2 weeks ago.

It comes and goes in waves so it's best to be already in the pyramid for when such a day comes like we had yesterday (Friday, 11th of March).
This Friday, everyone who was in since right before Friday and even some who got in on Friday itself, has received their payout.

Yesterday was a really fast day. I even think it was the fastest day so far.

Also don't forget, this pyramid works differently than most other pyramids out there:

Here, if someone has been paid out, that entry is automatically exiting the pyramid and he will have to re-enter if he wants to earn more money.
Of course it is possible to have multiple entries open at the same time.

This keeps the pyramid short and ensures fast payouts, because there is nobody at the top who keeps receiving money infinitely.
So the money of new entrants is not being used to pay everyone above him.

No, instead the money of a new entrant is only used to pay the next one in the queue who has not received a payment yet.

So instead of having one guy who's getting way more money than the others ones,
in this scheme everyone receives exactly x1.5 the amount of money of what they've sent.

This ensures many more winners and that's why I like this kind of pyramid way more than the other ones  ;D

Ok, I can do that, or I can offer you 2 more options. I can refund you the full 20 ether you put in, once the payouts to you happen and fail, or I can give you the 10 ether, and temporarily change payout to 3x for you, so you can get 30 ether once payout happens. You can let me know in PM, and I will do what you want. For the last option. I can also invest the 10 ether on your behalf from one of my accounts, and then once I get the 30 ether back from the pyramid, I will send it to you.

Great analysis of the pyramid. This was what I had hoped the pyramid would achieve, and it is doing quite good. However, I hope some more votes come in, due to the growth of the pyramid, payout SHOULD be lowered to 1.4x to keep up about the same speed of payouts, as we're approaching 1/3 of participants awaiting payout. At 1/2 I will have to set it to 1.2x, from my calculations. I did a whole excel sheet, to see what the best equilibrium is, balancing payout speed with payout amount.

And yes, March 11th exceeded all my expectations, the contract cleared over 4000 Ether in one day.

Payout cannot go below 1.2x, that is the bare minimum. However, even when it becomes 1.2x, if people ask for promo 3x, or something, I will do that for a limited amount of time.

That is absolutely fantastic. The pyramid is a pretty good dapp. I have found it myself both useful and innovative. Hope it could stay for long term!

P.S. Just to be safe, I won't make another deposit until I receive payment from pyramid. After that, I will make another deposit and repeat the same process.  :)

That is probably the best strategy, if you're not sure about payout speed :). But with the success it's had, I have a feeling this will be a long-term pyramid, over weeks, it will slow down, but funnily enough, you will still get MUCH more paid out from this ponzi, than you would from the ponzi banks, that will pay you 1% a year, to hold your money.

I've been told of people that have made 200-400% by using smart strategies investing into this pyramid, some have told me they have made 500 Ether, and I'm very happy for them :). Anyone that has smaller balances or is mining, this contract should be a must for them, as they more likely than not, will get their amounts back eventually, and this contract will exist as long as Ethereum exists.

Honestly, makes 100x more sense in my opinion, to send your ether here, than to the "CoinLock" contract. Here, at least your ether amount will be multiplied, while you can't use it until it's paid out. With the coinlock systems, it's like hiding alcohol from an alcoholic, you have no gain from it, other than you can't use your coins for a specified period of time.

That's what I like the most about this, in 20 years someone could still be sending ETHER to this, and someone else would still get a payout  ;D
In 20 years, this is a vintage Pyramid, the first, and it will be like vintage websites.

And people will find it fascinating to send ETH to the oldest pyramid of Ethereum.
I see this happening.

OP, please check contract order #10 in pyramid, 4 ETH payout.  Looks like it went to the wrong address a few days ago.  I sent 2 ETH on March 6 and have not received any payout.  Best I can tell from Etherscan is that it went to the address in the #11 slot somehow.

Thank you for offering a refund of the initial deposit.  It was 2 ETH sent from "0x1EC259C8468F20cBFc763a02adD1fE1AAa3b7C4f".  I was the #10 slot in the pyramid from March 6.  I need to clarify that I learned of the Dapp thru "http://dapps.ethercasts.com/".  I only came here to report what happened later.  So I did not have the benefit of seeing the warning on page 1 of this thread.  I then proceeded straight to "http://ethpyramid.meteor.com/"  and made a deposit using the "Send Using Ethereum Wallet" tab, following the instructions there.

Since that tab specifically said "wallet" and not "account", I thought all was good.  I now know better and agree that the Ethereum devs could do all of us a huge solid by making the difference clearer.  Also hard to understand how the process of the Dapp contract sending to another wallet contract could consume 4 ether in gas fees.  Did that all go to miners?  I don't even see the transaction on etherscan.  But that is another discussion.  One thing is clear, I know not to execute a contract from a wallet contract ever again.

If you send the 2 ETH back like you offered, I will consider rejoining the pyramid just for the experience.  Thank You.

The 2 Ether has been sent Keyser - http://etherscan.io/tx/0x978f5baaf14eda24b0c804d22a095c490f9611281dde38dc78627f022bb90e45

Poll has ended and there was one vote for 1.4x and another to keep the payout the same at 1.5x.

In this case I will favour the faster payout option of 1.4x and lower the contract fee to 6% to encourage more deposits.

NEW CONTRACT VARIABLES

1.4x - 6% Fee - 3% Fee for over 50 Ether

Hi buddy, A quick question regarding your Dynamic Pyramid Dapp:

I really like the layout of your website. Have you made it? If not, where can I find it? I'm working on a similar project for our French & Italian friends ;D

I've sent you a message if you prefer private reply.

Looking forward to hearing from you :)

I think the 1.4x was a good call! Once this gains more attention and more people donate to Dynamic Pyramid then returns will get faster and you might be able to bump the price back up. I feel that even if the return is less, but more frequent, it makes you feel like you are doing well and made a smart choice. I'm excited to see this apps potential!

Recent slowdown is likely due to Homestead release tomorrow, and people holding coins in case prices skyrocket (the optimists) or those wanting to hedge their profits, sending them to exchanges, in case of a dump on prices.

The contract simply won't accept your ETH and you won't be added into the contract. If you include 500k, it doesn't actually use the 500k, it only uses what it needs, and I have tried to make it pretty efficient. Currently it uses 77473 gas minimum, if you deposit, and no one is being paid out. If you do deposit, and someone gets paid out, you'll have to include more. As long as you include ~200k you should be safe under all circumstances. Remember, irregardless of how much gas you include, any unused gas is returned to you, so for that 500k, if only 100k is used, you get 400k back.

Sometimes a few days, other times only 2 hours (like the people on last Friday).
Sometimes a lot of people are starting to deposit at the same time and then the pyramid speeds up as well.
I'm expecting a same day like that somewhere this week so I already bought myself in with a few tickets for when that happens  :)
It's better to be in before they are!

That is great! I will be depositing once more to get into the promo offering. Still, I am waiting for my ETH to multiply, since it has been 3 days already, but if I had to wait one week, then so be it. This pyramid is way too good and I know that I will get my ETH someday for sure. Nevertheless, I will keep sending ETH to it to keep increasing my profits!  :D

That is why sometimes, I'd prefer lower payouts to speed up the process even though the amount earned would be less. Having to wait for days to get your payout, makes it difficult to get used to. All there is need to be is time and patience.  :)

I'm considering to do something crazy this Friday, so we will be having the same high speed payouts as last Friday  ;D
It has currently slowed down during the weekend because there were some big whales on Friday who were sending 100 and 150 ETH.
Of course they aren't getting filled with the 1 and 2 ETH that are being sent currently.

For upcoming Friday, I have an idea of how to get some crazy speeds going once these 100 and 150 ETH orders are out of the way.
But before I can do that the pyramid needs to fill a bit up with more orders in the 10 and 20 ETH range, because I won't be able to fill everything myself...

So be ready, first come, first serve  8)

I can set special payout for Friday if you guys are interested, along with lower fee depending on the payout. Let me know what you guys are interested in.

If you guys want a lower payout, I will set the fee lower. But a higher payout will in turn come with a higher fee.

I am working on some other projects(not pyramids or anything :P), but the data so far from this pyramid has given me some ideas for a fully autonomous pyramid, that could reboot on its own. Over the days I may ask your opinions in regards to this pyramid, ONLY IF you guys would want me to create an additional one, I don't wanna cannibalize this pyramid or leave it out in the dark.

That is absolutely good news for this ever rising ETH pyramid. I am so excited that many new things are happening for this wonderful dapp (like crazy friday) but I am still eagerly waiting for my payment as well, since it has been already a week since I made my deposit. I always keep a good eye on in which place in the queue my next payment is.
Maybe it's a good idea that others do that as well, then you always know how much ETH still has to enter the pyramid before it's your turn.

I have a lot of different entries in the queue and by now it's my turn every few entries.

That's the strategy I use for this  :)

And whenever it's my payout, I create a new entry with my profits...

A good effort from you mate. I hope that my turn (as well as those who have not been paid yet) would get there soon. Been very patient with this pyramid as I have a feeling that I will get a pretty good ETH payout. Looking into the stats, I could say that it is one of the most deposited ETH pyramids in existence.  :)

You are unable to send from any online wallet because they can't add gas to your transactions.

Are you using the experimental Mist Browser or Ethereum Wallet? Both should automatically be sending the correct amount of gas, with a gas price of 20 gwei. Get the newest release from here https://github.com/ethereum/mist/releases

Mist or Ethereum wallet should work fine. I has the same issues when I used an online ETH wallet, but then sent some ETH from geth and everything worked like a charm. In my opinion, I think rates should be lowered to make payouts faster. It is almost 2 weeks since I deposited and I am still waiting for my ETH  :(

Site is currently down as meteor has stopped its hosting services. I'm looking into alternatives for hosting the meteor app/site.

I've paid for a new hosting service, once it is up, there will be a new URL.

tubbier is it true that you filled a claim against rubixi for copyright infringement and had his website shutdown? How can you or daedalus own a code that is publicly available on the Ethereum blockchain? It doesn't make sense... Clarification would be much appreciated. What a coincidence though... Both your sites are down :-\ while rubixi is back online... Is rubixi Jake Rockland?

I did not file any copyright infringements against anyone. The code is available publicly on the blockchain, and open-sourced on a number of blockchain explorer sites, I more than expected copy-cats, and never intended to "copyright infringe" anyone.

The reason my site went down is that meteor is no longer offering hosting services.

In the meantime, a replacement has been made on http://ethpyramid.tk

Cool. Now I can access the site once again. Say, will I still get paid even though the site has been replaced? (with another domain, etc) I'm asking just in case (since I'm not very knowledgeable about ETH yet)   :)

Looking forward for this pyramid to grow in deposits, so that I could receive my payout faster.  ;D

The contract can never be taken down, irregardless of the site changing names or anything like that. The contract runs separately on the Ethereum network. Unless the Ethereum network is taken down or something, it will always be up.

In that case it will remain in the Ethereum blockchain for as long as the network itself is alive. (node supporting it) Thanks for clarifying my doubts. Turns out that this pyramid will remain for a very long time. I can't wait for my turn to come as I have seen that payouts have been doing very good recently (like the one who received 150 ETH).  :)

Will be cool if the fee will be zero.  ;D I think while it is not zero - there is always a risk, that appears a new pyramid with 0 fees and everyone will go there. If you will make 0 fee- everyone can benefit from this because you can also invest as a normal user and make promotion.

If this pyramid does add a 0% fee during the weekend, it will totally be awesome as it would attract more ETH deposits into it and thus speed up the payouts for those who haven't been paid yet (like me) A promo like this wouldn't hurt I guess, but it is up to the owner to decide.  :)

It is really naive to believe that there will be a difference if you lower the fees to 0%. It seems 'fair', but if you make some calculations, the speed gain, the amount you get is negligible.

It is just "in the mind"

Next payout is 75 ETHER

After that one, the biggest payouts are out of the way I think as far as I can remember.
Then it'll be the smaller deposits again that'll get paid.

I'm curious how long it'll take till we reach 7000 ETH in payouts.
The pyramid is currently at 6761 ETH paid out, that's almost 78,000 USD, that's just insane  ;D

After the next 75 Ether payout to participant[129], there appears to still be another 3638 Ether in payouts due to participant[130] through participant[283].

If the fee remains at 6% then it will take deposits of approximately (3638 / 0.94) = 3870.21 Ether before any NEW participants (index 284 and beyond) begin to see payouts.

Just some interesting numbers to consider, make of them what you will.

The most interesting thing about these numbers is,
that 3870 ETHER is actually only 55 % of what has been deposited so far ( 6910 ETHER ).

So we have had 6910 ETHER in deposits, if the deposits only increase by 55 %, everyone who is in the pyramid up until today, will have received their payouts.

Not undoable at all.

Setting the fee to 0% for any deposits over 50 ether and 1% for anything below, if we get at least 10 valid deposits a day, it will stay that way, i'll be checking back daily.

The counting starts tomorrow.

Nice calculations :). That is assuming all deposits are under 50 ether, if they're over 50, than they get only half the fee. So the maximum required ether would be 3870.21.

Yes, but the fee only affects deposits after the fee change, so you will always be able to see, what the fee is, before you deposit.

Fee has been set to 0% for over 50 ether and 1% for under 50.

Hi tubbyjr,

I'm part of a large french community of Ethereum-users/traders/miners people, and I think this website could really have their interests.

In fact, there is a strong demand within french Ether-sphere for this kind of simple, accessible, clear and honest ponzi site.

As I saw that your website was already available in English, I wondered : would you be interested by a good, valuable translation in French?

I've already made a lot of translations for different kinds of works, and even if my English is not perfect, I'd say it's quite acceptable, especially for someone from France. :)

I'd also add that my french is "almost perfect", as I scored 20/20 both on English and French tests when I was 18.

(i.e. for my past translations, I worked with the "A Story About My Uncle" game's team and did the whole translation by myself. My name is now displayed in the credits.)

If you are interested, please contact me. I'd be glad to help you out, making your website even more world-wide accessible!

Please contact me using ONLY...:

Thanks for reading, and as we say in my little corner of the world, au plaisir !

Yes, it'll have slowdowns and then pick-up again on certain days. Although oddly, it especially slows down whenever there's a fee drop :S.

Within the last 24 hours, we haven't hit the 10 deposit target required for the pyramid to keep the 1%/0% fee, so if within the next 6 hours, we do not get 8 deposits, the promotional fee will end.

I will look to reinstate the promotional fee, whenever we hit 10 deposits within 24 hours though.

I just hope that we could hit the target within the next hours, otherwise the opportunity of getting the promo fee will be lost. Things have been going pretty well for the pyramid, but I am afraid I have not received my payout yet and it has been 26 days already since my last deposit. I was wondering about this, since I should've got my payout my now after a couple of deposits days after, right?  :(

There's some paywalls, and with a pyramid there's no guarantee when you'll get your payments back, but the pyramid is definitely not dead, as you can see with the last few payouts, people have received 75 - 150 Ether.

they will die sooner or later on a paywall. just stay with one that works and it will live for a long time.

You may be able to pass that wall, yeah that's not a problem. It is just very long.
This last payout is originated from 20+ days deposits, now if you deposit, you will wait more than a month.
And waiting a month for a pyramid, is not very attractive and safe  :(

That is certainly true. And the fact that I have not received payout yet, makes me wonder if I will ever get my ETH back. It has been 30 days since my last deposit and I'm still waiting to receive payment. Within the pyramid's first days, I was able to receive fast payout but now that it has more people depositing ETH, the payout has become somewhat slower. I'll be patiently waiting until it is my turn.  :(

I agree with you mate. This pyramid was only good when it first started. Now it's been like almost 3 months since my deposit and I still haven't received my payout yet. It has been really slow and unless more people come into it and deposit ETH, it will take perhaps years to see your payout. This is very sad, but we have to face the reality.  :(

Before the new user rush no pyramids will work because in average, ponzi's here are X1.5 multiplier, it means that at least 30% of people that have participated, lost money in pyramids, no new users = no more deposits.

It is funny and sad to see you guys talking about "things slowing down", such system can only be prosperous or be forgotten.
However i hope Shiny Squirrel and The greed pit will continue, these are the only ponzis that deserve succes, IMO.

I have tried Rubixi and ETH Stick Carrot Ponzi Game but I still haven't payouts from them yet. The time since I have made my deposit was almost 2 months ago. Based on what you said before, yes it is the hard truth and we have to face it. Just don't invest what you can't afford to lose. That is the number one rule. Luckily for me, I didn't invest that much but if I did, I would have lost plenty of money.  :)
