If you look around the forum or Google there should be a bunch of configs. Ive maybe only mined a few thousand shares so far, but anecdotally, i've been under 2% invalid shares all day. Pretty nice.

I have less that 4% stales or otherwise rejected shares over the past 36 hours, and that is with heavy overclocking. The web interface is great! I see no reason to mine any other pool, unless you are a pool-hopper. Burnside's is good, but does not yet support the Stratum protocol, and I get a much higher reject rate there, too. Come on in, the mining is good here!

I do believe some of the changes took us finding a block to kick over properly. Ive been keeping a close eye on everything over the last few days.

All servers are pointing at US at the moment but they will be switched back shortly. It can take a while for you miner to ramp up. Asusming you are on the US server and cgminer is submitting shares it can take a while to calculate hshrate and update shares. This was a urgent issue if i went and sent our thousands of emails there would have been more downtime. So i made a decision to quickly update the site and waste no time in moving the server across to minimize downtime as much as i could. This is quite common. the reason that you need to download the block chain is that your wallet.dat needs to verify the blocks and all their confirms (if that makes sense). DreamHost and HostGator, BlueHost are good places to start, check them out. If your host doesn't offer it I suggest switching to a major provider that does since it's one of the options that determine a professional company or not :)

Our share difficulty is set to 32. We are also running dynamic rounds so the shares will be different per round. Keep in mind there were also some db enhancements we had to make to help deal with the load of new users and high hashrate. Is it possible that you have mistyped your address. Once a address is added the only way to change it is to retype it and then for you to enter your pin to confirm. You will still need to tweak settings. I will keep making the config generator better and better as i can find better configs but its really designed to get users started while they learn how to setup configurations and what specific settings work best. Yes, it was an error on your side, but not on your hardware. From the logs I see you where connected to a wifi network maybe, and your IP address kept changing every few minutes. That figures, it seems my mobile connection (UMTS/HSPA+) jumps between link stations (or what ever they are called) ...and it seems to do it a lot even if the physical location doesn't change. Well man the highest total Hashrate I have achieved on average from the site, this being over 20 minutes I'd say is 415/420. Lol my 7950 is mining at 607 k/hash and has 101 accepted and 2 rejected shares, my 660ti is mining at 150 with 243 accepted and 4 rejected shares and my cpu is mining at 50 with 78 accepted and 2 rejected shares. So I don't see what is up. Also you can always just do a little adding of what your miner on your machine states for shares, and what the website total paid share says. Stop everything and wait for the pool to settle 30 min or so should do it, you just want to make sure there aren't any in the unpaid column. Then reset your miners to zero and fire them all up. After a few hours pause them and wait again for the pool count to settle on the website. If the accepted/rejected share total from your miner is the same as the whats the total is on the website (minus what was already in there before) then you should be fine.
/edit my website hash numbers are never close to accurate, but the total shares on the site matches my miners total locally. I basically just use the site hash numbers to tell if my machines in the office have crashed over the weekend. If I see 0 from one for a hour or more I hop over to the office and restart it. Thankfully it's only a few minutes away. Since the pool is PPLNS every-time it goes down it's a bad thing for miners and you alike because of the fees. My proposal, should you choose to accept it ;D is to implement a rapidly decaying function while (client_hash_rare < crilent_hash_rate / 0.3h*1.3 && pool_hash_rate!=really_low). What I'm saying (might not be clear because of the wine POI(proof of ingestion)) is not to have loyal miners affected by pool down events since it looks like they left the pool when this happends and it take a long time for rewards to spool back up. But there will be some downtime in the next few hours (should only be 5 - 10 min) this is to fix some urgent bugs in the system. You may have also noticed that the Website has changed this is also due to some added security to the pool.
I know this is extremely frustrating to you all that's why im trying to give as much notice as i can our main goal is to give you the best service we can. All you said is true. All sites can be put out, as long as you can generate enough traffic to fill their pipes. Doesn't matter how many protection systems they have! Agreed its very anoying that legit miners are being blocked out. We have made soem changes and more miners are able to connect. To enable idle worker notifications you just simple go into your workers page a tick the notifications box. :) You will be notified if you miner has been mining and suddenly stops on a 10 min basis. i have already made the announcement on the forum and will update the site when i get home tonight. We had to do a emergency upgrade due to the long round times. We were down for 15min. Users had trouble connecting sue to the ddos protection kicking in.

Using vardiff will decrease chatter to the server making your shares count more towards blocks. This should also decrease your stale shares due to you miner submitting higher difficulty shares. Your payout shoudl not be affected either way. Hope this helps.
