i thinking about to invest some "bigger" amount of money into one of these 2 currencies. But i really dont know in which one. ETH should be more stable and safer?

If u had for example 1000$ and you would invest, which currency of this both would you take and why?

My suggestion will be in favor of Ethereum to be taken for investing purpose as it is most potential token after Bitcoin which has appreciation and investment of billionaires. You have selected good token for medium to long term it is also very good there is lot of expansion space in its market. It is worth more than etc in my opinion.

ETC is a stupid choice. It has no capable developing team, they cannot even follow ethereum's original roadmap because it's too ambitious for them.

i would say if you want to take a bigger risk with higher return go for ETC. but ask yourself have any project ever used ETC to build their product...none that am aware of? Hence i would rather suggest you wait for ETH to retrace and then buy the dip.

If you plan to hold for long then ETH is better as there are a lot of developments also going into it, especially with ICO's now adopting ETH, but diversify, I've got the same amount of each coin, but the $$ values are higher for ETH of course.

If your after $$ XRP and NEM are good at the moment, you can buy more and make bigger gains over the long run then both ETH and ETC can produce.

For long term hold and investment I think its Ethereum is good between the two. Ethereum has more to grow as there are many tokens being created with successful ICO. With many token being created,demand for eth will rise also for processing of transaction.

For me if I have that money I choose to invest that in ethereum because if you see the price before its very low but if you see now its very high. And I think this altcoin is the next coin who become star in the future . If bitcoin die for sure ethereum will pump high and it will be number crypto. This coin is good for longterm because if you hold this after few months or may 1 year for sure you will earn a lot of money. So better if you invest now .

I would buy both as a hedge to be honest. It's wise to invest in two upcoming platforms. Both of them have some serious support around the World and still have a chance to grow in price. In the shorter term I believe ETC can bring a good return but over time, both should reap you rewards as it's still early days for both Coins.

This kind of posts encourage me! Yes but are good oportonity, good support is most important. My focus is on BTC at the moment, if continue with rise my low orders will be filled, and lots of diffrent coins including those mentioned will be on wait.

Investing in ETH was not bad, but I was confused if I deposit in this Altcoins because even this Altcoins have many partners and project I think this is not enough because their values in the market were not stable.

ETH is the more established one and that's the main reason people prefer it. Myself I'd put some money into ETC(and I have) as there is much more room to grow there. I don't think that ETH will continue its price explosion from the past weeks at least for a while. I won't be surprised to see ETH become the next LTC and get surpassed by a new coin as BTC's second, but still I'm hodling a few ETH as an investment just in case it hits $1K this year  :)

Eventually there will be a big altcoin crash and only the top coins or those offering unique features not done by others will survive, for this reason I would choose ETH over ETC. ETC is a smaller weaker version of ETH. If you want a high risk high reward coin there are plenty better than ETC too.

Some people think that ETC has a huge potential to go up. When I first decided to buty ETC, it was only $2.8, then I somehow cancelled my opinion. After that ETC went up to $8 which made me very sad.

I would rather take 1000$ and use it for daily trades, or if i had to choose between 2 coins i would buy both of them - 75% to buy ETH, and 25% to buy ETC.

I'll buy eth and using martiangle strategy to make profit. First buy only use 10% from my money, if the price going down I'll buy again with 15% etc. I'm not suggested to buy eth with all money we have, too risky I think. Ethereum classic is going to do very well in the nearby future because to me it is some how stable than Ethereum. Op I will advise you to invest in Ethereum classic if you have a long term view but if it is for short term then go for Ethereum.

I think this is a good sum up. Eth is growing right now and it is doin suspiciously well. If everything goes as planned, it will be at least as influential as bitcoin. However, as there have already been big issues with ethereum platform before, because it is hard to allow lots of thinks and not get hacked, eth is also likely to crush because of miners not supporting the switch to pos, for instance. ETC is already a dumped version, so it is not likely to get into trouble again and may slowly go up and up.

But to me i think there is more potential in the price of Ethrium. i think the price of Etherium will also boos when bitcoin will become a little bet stable, and therefore i am thinking about invest some of my bitcoin in Etherum also.

Invest money in ethereum classic is better than ethereum. There are too many people putting their money in ethereum and there is not any crash in the ethereum's price. I used to think ethereum classic has much potential than ethereum, yet I was wrong as far as I see. Ethereum classic did not go up further, but ethereum's rise was crazy in the crypto market. If you're lookin for next years, long term investment, ethereum is shining.

ETH already rose too much, and there will be sell pressure because of the ICO's, also if some of them get scammy people might panic and dump.
Since there are no ETC ICO's that I know about, I think ETC is most likely to not go down and maybe rise.

Its true that ETH already rose a lot and possibly that is too much but for me the bigger question is what is the value of ETH and ETC based on? I think ETH has benefited from a lot of ICO's but I don't see anything that would have given ETC any value. This is why I think ETH may fall again yes but I think ETC is much more likely to do so and more than ETH.

ETH price has gone up with ICOs and will get dumped with ICOs too, when they started to cash out their ICo money and sell ETH it will create a massive sell pressure on the market and crash the price.

ETC on the other hand has gone up without any of these. it is simply a pump and the dump already happened and now it is becoming more stable. we may however see ETC drop when ETH starts getting dumped but i don't think it will be as big.

I do not thing ETH is the right place to invest right now and that is the case with ETC as both the price is having a good rally,i think there are other promising coins and you could focus your time on other currencies rather than investing when the coin is at a all time high.

I think investment in ethereum is way more safer than investment in ethereum classic because almost all new ICOs are on ethereum platform and almost none are behind ethereum classic. The growth rates of ETH are also way better than that of ETC apk better returns are expected from ethereum.

Well if you look at price history for both you will see that ETC has general stayed within the range of 5-10% of ETH's market cap, when ETH goes up ETC is never far behind.  On the whole as long as ETH goes up so will ETC, and will see similar gains.

However the ETH difficulty bomb is fast approaching, and as mining winds down the miners will want somewhere else to turn their hashrate, and I think that they will turn to ETC, and then the traders will be close behind.

So ultimately ETC looks to be the clear better investment.  If ETH keeps going up, so will ETC and you get to enjoy the same gains (or at least close to) as the ETH holders.  BUT, if ETH does start to crash and lose market share I can almost guarantee that money will surge from it into ETC.  Of course in my opinion I think that neither of these projects can deliver on their promises so I will not be investing in either, but if you are investing anyway, ETC is the clear winner, and I don't see much downside for the remainder of 2017.

As for me, I will go ETH first, but I would also get ETC to be on a safe side and just be a bagholder. ETC is still undervalued as of now and we don't know when it will be pump soon. ETH has already reached its potential now as the price is really increasing. If you have extra money, buy ETC as well and hold on it for a long time.

It is possiblle that even ETH doesn't last much. For sure, there will be better options than ETH.

But since there are only two options , I'll choose ETH.

I will divide your investment money into half so I can have both ETH and ETC. Eth is becoming more influential and wider. But as we noticed when there are lots of spamming in their network there seemed to be problems that needed to get fixed. ETC good room to grow as it is only 1.8 billion dollars in market cap.

I have personally recently invested in ETC. From what i see, ETH is already trading at a high rate. Most of the hype for ETH is ICO build and what happens when the ico's start dumping eth? So i would say go with ETC.

Depends on your purpose of course, if you want to invest for long term and aim for big profits then invest on ETH because its​ price seems increases steadily over time due to many projects based in eth network. If you're looking for short term investment, then etc is the answer, but I'm not so sure if it's going to increase significantly, at least it has cheaper price than eth, so you can purchase in big numbers and get big profits if its price increase like $1 or $5.

Why will there be demand for ETC? Extraction? What projects? I see the robot ETH. A purse, iso, clever contracts. But ETC?

I think that investment made in ethereum hard fork will not be able to fetch you good profits now as price of ethereum is already touching sky and now the rate of growth will be much slower as compared to growth of earlier years. On the other hand, ethereum classic can show you very high percentages of growth in very less time. But it's always better to not keep all your eggs in one basket and should invest in both.

Also ETH will be migrated to POS and ETH will be stronger and the price is raising up because this, although someone choose ETC for short term you can treat ETH as your long investment because this POS event;.

If you havent read the latest news on GDAX exchange i do lose up tons of money when ETH dumps on 10 cents each which is really a disaster and didnt really expect it too happen since i do really believe on  ETH potential thats why i invest a lot and now the price dumps and really wreck out of my wallet. I choose ETC, it is cheaper than ETH, too much rising space for it. You can easily get a 20X or more return from ETC, but you can't from ETH.

I think  ETH is too much suitable for investing, If you see that before 2017 rate was very low but now day by day rate increased.after bitcoin,eth is the most popular cryptocurrency in the world.

I would really go with Ether only. When the hard split happened for Ethereum it was dropped like anything bad. But if you notice the market then you can see ether overtook the Ethereum classic price in few months of time only. So, the original stuff is always original and you can all the reasons to trust it. So go for the ether investment for sure. If I had to invest $1000 then I will put them into ether only and not the classic one.

I think ETH will be more valuable than ETC because the ETH platform can create tokens for ICO projects and investors can easily buy tokens without problems. I hope in the future ETH can beat BTC and become the most valuable currency in the planet

Propaganda is a strong word, I wouldn't call it that way. But I wouldn't blame you as almost everyone thought it was a scam. However ETC was used as a form of revolting against the decision of bailing out investors resulting of rolling back the blockchain and devs being arrogant to assumed that EVERYONE will migrate to the new chain and that the old chain will just die off. Now, if you call that a propaganda, you obviously do not honor a social contract. Plus there's no way the old chain (ETC) can be founded through a technological base considering from that situation. It's not like forked happened and suddenly ETC became robust, scalable and self-sufficient. Innovation is a process, much so with the new chain (ETH). Imo, ETH projects just came through not because of the fancy word 'smart contracts' or something like that but because people knowing now that can they break social contract and just roll back the blockchain and fork off when they make a mess.

I don't think that ethereum will be affected negatively by the upcoming POS system. This will probably make ethereum much more valuable. And for the investment, I invest both in ethereum and ethereum classic.

My suggestion will be in favor of Ethereum to be taken for investing purpose as it is most potential token after Bitcoin which has appreciation and investment of billionaires. If you plan to hold for long then ETH is better as there are a lot of developments also going into it, especially with ICO's now adopting ETH, but diversify, I've got the same amount of each coin, but the $$ values are higher for ETH of course.

I'd recommend ETH but if you like a good diversion then invest on both but give a bigger investment for ETH. I'd also say that ETH has far more marketing and community compared to ETC.

To be honest, I invest in both of them. If one get up, one should follow. That way you don't need to risk it much. One will be always better. How could a split chain could defeat the real ones? ETC will not be good as ETH since we all see that the adoption of ETH are much better than the ETC and the copy cat coin is just a little confusion for the ETH holder. But at this current times ETH are in bargain and we can even buy more cheap ETH since a huge possibities that the price value would reach for more or even it could regain and reach up for $1,500 ATH.

ETH is a fork of ETC. It was forked because of a hack apparently. ETC is the original blockchain.
ETC has the same capabilities than ETH and also accept smart contracts and i suppose also ERC20 tokens.
But it is not popular as ETH because i think the hackers still have their ETC.
It is a little like BAR who becomes TBAR i suppose? But i was not really interested about crypto when the hack happened.

i have both, six months ago i was very bullish about etc, way more than eth, i tought that it would rise more than eth but the fact said the opposite, in this moment i think that in the future it won't pass 50 dollars even if the real ethereum goes to 2k. i should have sold it when it was at 45 dollars but i greeded and driven by the fomo i holded till now and i have lost almost the 70% of his value.

I don't think that ETC is a worthy investment, as for me it has very cloudy perspectives and I'd better keep my money off this coin... ETH is just good.

To choose one kind of coin between the two, i would not hesitate to pick ETC, because I don't think ETC can't compare with ETH at the technical level. Obviously，ETC has more appreciation space.

even with these bear market and ethereum crashing, i still believe in ethereum. still believe that every ico is gonna use ethereum platform and gonna rise in the end of the year or atleast in Q1 next year

ETH is apparently more bullish as compared to ETC. A lot of investors are also in ETH. Aside from that, various projects as well as ICOs are on ETH platform. So I think ETH is more stable than ETC. For a long term but in this case i would like to suggest you invest in both, because you know what ETH and ETC have a good development, and also nice altcoin for a long term investment.

As for me the answer is clear - of course it is Ethereum, this is the most popular currency after bitcoin, as soon as the  general growth begins, ether is guaranteed to grow, because all beginners will enter the market through bitcoin and ether.

I'l invest in ethereum than the classic one because ethereum is already been there on top for a long already and its blockchain is so popular that's keeping this crypto stay on top above other alt coins. It's a good opportunity for investors to grab it since the price is already low and only takes a matter of time before Ethereum will rise again.

For example if i have 1,000 dollars i will choose or pick ethereum ,  because I can get a lot of money to ethereum than ETC. But it's your choice to take ETC. We are different information that we get so we have prediction. But i suggest to you if you are undecided choose both of them .
