Recently, because of the upcoming hardwork bitcoin, the cryptocurrency market is falling.
When will the market begin to grow again? Your thoughts  ;)

Most probably after August 1st things will go back to as it was. Once the green flag is shown to crypto users they will start buying bitcoins and eventually the market will rise up. I read somewhere that if the code launch by Segwit is successfull then the fork will be delayed to november and if the launch is unsuccessfull then the fork will happen on august 1. So we cant actually say whats gonna happen. Just hope that everything finishes soon and we get back to business .

I'm hoping for things to get sorted out and everything to go back to business as usual within the first 2 weeks of August.

What you are saying is true actually everyone is not taking risk of buying and selling of bitcoins, because no one knows what will happen after August 1st it can go down 10 times or go up 10 times. That is why even very one is selling the altcoins and converting all to bitcoins and storing them in wallet.

Even if the price is falling the market is continuing to grow constantly. Buy low 8)

I Hope there are chances to go up and the chances are same for going down. I hope to convert Bitcoin is very bad idea because once the price falls the price of altcoin will also fall.

It is just something technical that needs improvement on august 1.
Soon after the 1 august passes, the price will start growing up again to its original state.
Amid this process, we have opportunity to buy BTC at lowest price.

It is growing and then falling again I'm so sad i left gambling and decided to earn profit from trading but now that is also gone , many are saying until bitcoin doesn't start rising i won't be able to get my inital funds also. I hope after august 1st bitcoin starts rising again so i can atleast the initial value

You can get , it may take time but you'll surely win it back. After august bitcoin will recover , bitcoin arise before were never expected but ot happened same with bitcoin adaption in maby countries can be a help for it too arise. Evedything will be fine.

Yes, i thought and finally i realize it is because of August 1.
Then only hold the bitcoins for a time and wait for a time, and i am sure within months price will be changed.
But if we think that bitcoin price is downing than it is also good for us. Because it give us change to buy again.

I, for one, thought that it should have shrunk back for a while when it first passed the 2k ATH. It just kept pushing on since then. The bear's got some life in it now likely to several factors converging at the same time: long-overdue corrections, speculating fatigue, and of course the Aug 1 happenings. With GDAX and a few others putting hold to transfers, and a few more looking to do the same, it's really just mounting downward pressure on the price.

We don't know how long does the segwit problem if it becomes successful or not .In my own opinion ang analysis .Market will become alive again once Bitcoins hardfork becomes successful but if not well it may take some time for them to fix the problem .After a week of august i expect the market will return and back with a good price.

- I think we will have fast recovery by end of august, price still have strong support below $2000 level.

Best guess... around a $25B market cap for bitcoin and a $25B market cap for all the other altcoins for a combined $50B market cap, the major plunging will be over and we'll kind of drift around in the $50B-$65B range for awhile and consolidate.  It could end up being closer to $20B for bitcoin and $30B for altcoins, however... somewhere in there...  we could drift lower over the course of a year or two, just like the pop back in 2013, however. A year from now we might be at a $30B market cap, or a $300B market cap.. charting is far from a perfect science and is used only as an educated guess on short term  to mid term moves.  If I was a betting man, I'd bet on $30B. There's nothing inherently valuable about this blockchain tech because like I said before in other threads, it's all open source so any company can rip it off without remuneration.   None of these tokens for these services are ever going to take off and be used in any serious way by the masses... get serious here... wagerr will not be used by anyone not familiar with cryptos and is largely a cash grab like most ICOs. If a major vegas operation or online gambling site wants to use the blockchain tech, they'll just rip it off.. why pay any of these coins/tokens for something they can take for free?

Currently people are panic more than ever. Many of them considering Aug 1 to be end of bitcoin. That is the solemn reason why crypto market is shrinking at the moment. Try changing currency USD to BTC and you will see entirely different scene. Every coin is red presently because of bitcoin otherwise in terms of bitcoin, 70% are rising.

Yes Current dump is just from some new traders who don't know the basic of crypto markets and whales are quickly grabbing those cheap coins before august and after activation of segwit2x price might go beyond $3000 again within a month or two.

Yeah, exactly! I also believe that prices will rise in the mid of August. Segwit is going to turn things upside down. Drastic fluctuations in the prices are expected in the closing months of this year. It’s a great time for buyers and beginners who want to join bitcoin trading.

This not is dump, this is a time correction price to real value and can create stable in market. I like that because it make me can believe crypto market not is scam market, just can buy you can become rich as in March - May

And some trader margin trading need take loss or short BTC at now, they are know SegWit2x is good news for create panic selling and they can short BTC, then buy dip and make x2 profit

There are many scenarios possible.

One, Segwit2x gets activated before UASF which will make Segwit implemented with majority and hence would lead to a short term price fall after August (price fall will still be there) and situation might get better with the end of September.

Second, no Segwit2x and only UASF gets implemented. As UASF doesn't has much majority. It would lead to chain split with two coins competing with each other. This will lead to a long term dip and price might recover by the end of this year.

Third, nothing gets implemented. Then price will come back to normal in August after a whole long period of speculations and we might see $3500 by the end of the year with high fees and slow transaction debate going on.

These are my opinions.

my intuition tells me that we going to see 1 or 2 bull traps[1] before 1 ago ...

 people are selling out of panic and very soon they will realize what they doing when they will start to buy at $2,800 again. The professional and skillful traders buy at the bottom and sell at the top but the picnickers' buy at the top and sell at the bottom. For your information op the next stop will be $3,500 since the market has find a strong support area around $2000 and $1900.

After segwit really 100% probably in december or beginning of 2018 I think the market growth will be better, hardfork issues that result in panic sell, if there is a chain split the market will be red in the long-term.

I think it will take another one month to settle the market because right now there are many speculations going around with Bitcoin split. So people are panic about those and dumping in the market for the lower price. Things will settle after September only because in August it will try to regain its position but we have to wait and see how things are going to be with Bitcoin and all the other altcoin market.

It would really definitely grow up again since we cant just say that we are still dumping like forever there are times which the price would really grow up and thats how price volatility works which prices do moves up and down.We cant say it will down forever. This is really an indication that we do have a healthy market but talking or asking on when would be the market  to grow up again then no one could able to pin point on when.

In my opinion market will definitely rise again by next month. Most of the traders are not doing trading in hotch potch market.

The growth has began a bit if you noticed the total market cap it has increased by $5 billion from yesterday and even bitcoin has increased from $1900 to almost $2100. Though many are still claiming market will fall till august 1st but maybe the current market is the base and it won't fall further below this. I still can't believe just because of a hoax so many things changed quickly.

Who knows? No one knows. What you must think is to prepare for the growth or should I say accumulate now and take advantage of the dips.

We don't want to buy during bullish trend right so better do it prior to that. Let the whales do the buying while there is an ongoing bullish activity because they can ride it compare to average bitcoiner.

Their values are just determined through their demand and nothing else. This isn't what called correction. Correction is removal of excessive rise in value within short span due to speculative reasons. For example, bitcoin rose from $2500 to $3000 in a day and then break to $2700, this is called correction. Don't confuse yourself between correction and real value.

I wish I new. I really think that if things go well after the first August, the users will grow confidence again and the price will continue to rise once more. I heard users saying that the price shouldn't go any lower than $1800. I still don't know if this is the right time to by low or not. I think I should have sold  a few, and then buy some more around that value, and if things go well after 1 August, just keep them. The problem is that I don't know what might happen to it's value if things go wrong. Any thoughts? What are you guys doing?

Segwit with for softfork has more support from miners (like 88%), if this persist till start of august, I guess prices will bounce back to continue its rally toward $10k by end of this year. I strongly believe there could be more chances for this to happen as everyone want stronger bitcoin compared to any other coins like ripple nor ethereum to dominate crypto world.

I believe this community must have learned that being united alone will be ensuring more power rather than having multiple bitcoins for the sake of momentary benefits.

When the struggle for survival after August first comes, then the time to know whether the price of Bitcoin will fall and later increase again and the time it will take to increase again, so let's wait to see what happens.

I see market has already started to grow maybe because people are now understanding what necessary steps to do when all bitcoin implementations are done, and i must say news sites need to disseminate more of this information to help  prevent people from panicking
 
The moment people understand and have confidence in the system we shouldnt be far from seeing growth for btc especially after the fork

Well as of this moment, btc i think has recovered pretty well from last week and we're again around the area we've been for the past few months. People who panic sold most likely would've realized their mistakes though we can't really be sure yet as we haven't yet gotten over the aug 1 anxiety but i think we'll all br fine

yes that is right the price of bitcoin has already start increasing and hope that very soon the price of bitcoin will recover its previous position and hope that it will even reach to 5000$ at the end of 2017 so we need to wait for that time.

With the possibility that Bitcoin will not anymore experience split and the ensuing mess, Bitcoin right now is on the surge and there is a big possibility that it can reach the $3K level before the end of the year. That depressing value which brought Bitcoin into the $1800 level is now a thing of the past. Finally, the Bitcoin is back to where it should be.

Based on historical volatility, I would say that $3K target will be easily reached in the following weeks. Just today it reached a high of $2682.

I expect another crysis after 1st August. The reason is that there is still no consensus reached by bitcoin miners and nodes. I think the problem didn't end and we'll talk more about it after 1st august.

I think the same. If we compare current prices of bitcoins with those of last few weeks, there’s a prominent difference observed in values which is a sign that crypto market is recovering. Fluctuations are essence of crypto market and experts know that. That’s the reason; old investors don’t give up on their bitcoins when prices are dumping. They rather consider it as an opportunity for grabbing more bitcoins. Prices will further increase after the Segwit.

It was started about 16 July and it will move slowly (except for BTC),
other coins still try to find the solid ground,

I predicted at somepoint Altcoin needs to jump,........ otherwise people would buy altcoin more and more and more.

It is happening right now, the market is starting to grow again because the drama is soon to get ended. Bitcoin price is having a rally again and the bitcoin believers are happy right now because they already get a lot of profits by just holding their bitcoin that they bought from the dip.

I would say that the next big boom for bitcoin will be right after August 1. After everything settles down and the market opens again, bitcoin prices should skyrocket as people sell their altcoins and start to trade bitcoins again. This has already started in the past few days, but I sense another crash coming soon right before August 1. We will have to wait for some time before we can buy again at a low, but it should happen some time soon.
Bottom line - prices should rapidly increase after August 1 as people come back to the bitcoin trading market.

Your bottom line is 100% right after this August 1st the price will increase like a skyrocket. But I think we will not see one more price fall in next 9 days. There is a possibility but not sure because the price is already take off and I hope again it will not come down. Anyway, we have just a few more days let's see what happen.

I recommend the year 2017 for a vacation, and stop sitting at the computer, waiting for BTC to go up.
2 weeks is too short to resolve everything back to normal.

It would likely be also be related to beta testings. And its gonna take months to fix any errors and bugs if there are any and maybe it could take long time to synchronize blocks again if we need to.This might not be a new issue but it is a new evolution of bitcoin. Many speculations on hard fork has been done and i gotta say there is yet no perfect demonstration on its effect. So take the advice and at least find something to be busy on and be ready for the august 1 update.

I hope the market will grow up again after August 2017, because biggest speculation happen on that month. Actually, we can decide when the market will rise again, we don't have any control about it. That's why money management is necessary, to minimalize loss and make us not panic. If you have bitcoin don't sell it but if you're a brave trader/ investor, try to buy bitcoin, because today is the lower price. Don't buy so greedy, just with 20% from your money. Good luck.

I don't think the price is at low because I have seen that the price was dumped to 1500$ and even much down but after the some official announcement and some good news made the rise in the price of the Bitcoin .
And current price is about 2500$+ , So I don't think that we need to wait for the increase in the price to became stable , and in my opinion the price will increase more and more hit wait until the complete of the fork because fork can be results into increase as well as down In the price but will not effect the whole market more than 5% .

Prices are already recovering back and after the execution of Segwit, will further take a ride to the sky.
Nothing can stop bitcoins to stand high than all other coins after August 1st. all those who stayed faithful to bitcoins in the darker time are going to enjoy the brighter time of the bitcoins.

I don't think so. There probably won't be any major changes tbat will happen during that time. I even think we're well past the critical stage now and i don't expect any sudden drastic drop in btc prices anymore. Keep calm and steady and we'll all be good beyond aug 1st. Its even possible for the price to sboot up again after that so im not concerned.

Hard fork will not happen, and that's a fact. Soft fork is the best solution. Bitcoin has become a political commodity. And further news of september is still an issue. They just make panic.

The markets have shown some signs of recovery for some days however I think alts will need time to recover to their previous prices of this year, unlike bitcoin that seems ready to make a huge jump at any moment, so for now I think the most profitable investment in the next months will be bitcoin.

Now it is has a pssibility to dump again especially this near days before August almost all of the cryptocurrency were going to affected by bitcoins as the main crypto in use to trade different altcoins. Cryptocurrencies will going to recover once market is all okay and such as bitcoins is the sure best crypto to invest for long term .

Possibly. Or it may take a bit more time since everyone is anxious about what will happen after next week. One thing is for certain, the market will bounce back eventually. It always happens. Especially if you're into bitcoin, where it's a little bit more secure than tge newer coins.

I dont really see why this is all happening but I am guessing more people are preparing for the August 1 event.
They might be dividing their funds to other crypro currencies in case they all went back to their destined prices from a 50 percent down.

Well we are going to get a hard fork whether we like it or not, it is called Bitcoin cash BCC and its coming without segwit and with 8MB blocks, so let’s see what happens because things are getting weirder the closer we get to August first.

I don't thinkt the exact buy time has come. We need more clarification about bitcoin action reagarding to segwit and other bip updates. After we make sure everything is fine by bitcoin's side, the market will deleop itself more and more. We still need time for this.

I think the market will grow after passed August, now the price is already recovering but seems like there are still hesitation from investor and causing the price to fluctuate, the investors need more convincing news or the actual proof so they will start to invest again, and at that the price will recover

i think we can buy for small amount first just to see what will happen approaching 1st august and if there is a down for altcoin then we can buy again in lower price than the first. this condition will be like this until 1st august and we can not guess how the market will move and i think its better to wait or maybe we can do another thing to fill our time to not getting stress with this. this time, bitcoin and altcoin is really get tested and if this time bitcoin and altcoin can passed through then we can see crypto currency will have bright future.

Well we're almost at aug 1 and we're having pretty normal movements at the moment. Investors are pretty confident in btc i think and what happened last week when the price went below 2k is pretty much isolated only and would probably not happen again anytime soon

I think we can be in all time high in somewhere between september and october 2017. $5000 is too much for this year, it can be next year after the strom has ended with bitcoin upgrade situation and problems.

We can talk about this topic better after 1st august, Because we all know that the prices of bitcoin will start rise again like last 3 weeks, and the traders will get the higher profit and those who sell their bitcoin due to worry they really suffer from this loss.

I think this will take small time only , because people was just fearing that btc money that they have in the wallet may be lost .
But the official announcement and statement made the people tension free , so here everyone is waiting to complete of the hard fork that can take time from 1 August to 3 August because the whole network will remain stop active but not safe for the transfer of bitcoin because that may get split and lost in the network .
So just wait for the maximum one week and after the fork complete , you will see that the price of the bitcoin and investment in the altcoins market going speedily rising .

I think the market will begin to grow again when bitcoin cash is eradicated and I do not think that is going to take long, then bitcoin will begin its march way beyond the 3000 dollars mark and we are never going to see bitcoin this cheap again.

After August, not after 1 August. Big speculation give impact into crypto market and make us panic sell. Need time to grow again because trader/ investor has their own strategy and the best time to execute. After hardwork many people will hold their money and see where the price action go?. Wrong, in future still have sometime correction price Bitcoin, but under $1000 is impossible with the market in present. But I believe Bitcoin in 2017 can reach to target $5000 soon, even $10.000 is possible and very easy with Bitcoin if it improve system after SegWit successfully.

I'm not sure it will go over $5000 that soon, but I do believe that it will definitely pass the $3000 barrier soon, and it will continue to grow. Then it will of course continue with the normal fluctuations, but I don't think it will go under $3k again, if everything keeps going well.

I'm don't know about the bcc. I think people sill just dump them, and maybe that's good for BTC grow as well.

A friend of mine who's been in the trading industry both stocks and crypto said that august to 1st week of september is the ghost month of the market. But crypto's ghost month started early this year because of the fork that is going to happen. So if my friend is correct then market will begin to grow again around mid of september after the ghost month so if you are holding some altcoins with you and its red right now just hold on to it as of now.

This is right every time bitcoin shows a record breaking increase in value it never disappoints its investors. It will nearly be seen that bitcoin will increase to such a value that no one can never imagine. Unlike others it has ability to take over the world. At any moment it can be happened that it gains high value like never before due to increase in its users.

The market will go up again after this first week of august because this is the only thing that keeps the movement of altcoins or even bitcoin slower in terms of market value because a lot of people are having doubts about the possible outcome so it resulted for a dump for different altcoins and a little dump in bitcoin but after a few days or even week, the price or value of the market will go up again.

After segwit I think bitcoin will grow again because rhis will become powerful currency to this earth

Bitcoin price should increase even more within this week, because segwit will be activated soon maybe 8 days later if I didn't miscalculate.

Blackchain market will grow again after this new application technology segwit hardfork implement ,the crypto world is shaking now and the market dump within this month because of some technology applied in blockchain,all we can do is wait an be patience and wait the time that its turn back to normal procedure.
