Title: How Long Bitcoin Will Bullish
Post by: BlockHazard on August 14, 2017, 09:35:02 AM
Now... this year 2017 is a reflection of 2013...  Bitcoin prices rose significantly along with increased adoption and problem-solving. But whether Bitcoin prices can still rise in 2018 later? While the price correction of the price spike has not occurred at all. So what do you think guys?

Enjoy the bullish trend but remember not to enter or buying bitcoin into peak prices since anytime there would really be correction which do commonly happen on bitcoins price. As of now price surges up going for 4500 In my own view and still cant be sure The thing here is that those who invested on bitcoin back on those 1800 price will surely enjoy the profits as of now.

This can stay for a very long time. It seems that bitcoin price doesn't think about getting stable or drop. Enjoy the ride!

Yups...  you are absolutely right. Now is a time of indecision .. but I am still convinced that this bitcoin price will still rise and reach the highest peak until november later. But there will be some correction first near-this price range of $ 2800.

I'm personally hoping it will go down again soon so I can pick some more up.  $4100 is too high for me right now so I'll be waiting.  I'm guessing by the end of August it will have peaked and be ready for a correction.

For me i think that bitcoin's price can still increase its price to peak. because famous economist already predicted that bitcoin's price will reach 55000 usd after 5 years. So lets just on the bitcoin and invest more maybe will enjoy the profit in the future.

no it is not.
you have been saying this ever since price reached $1000. and literary everything is different from those days.
now we have got countries announcing their support for bitcoin, they remove taxes on bitcoin, they regulate and legalize it,....
the market is also no longer controlled by one exchange like 2013 Mt Gox!! there are 100 exchanges in place of one bit Mt GOx now.

the correction has been happening all along. you just seem to have missed it.
price is not x2-x1!!! it is instead all the things that happen between x2 and x1. and you are just looking at the start and the end of it. if you take a time and look at that middle you can see all the dips, the red bars representing the corrections.

and yes price will continue rising 2018, 2019, 2020, ... and so on until bitcoin is mass adopted by a great number of people and by that day price will probably be around $50,000

There will be a huge one during the 2017-2018 transition. I seriously believe that. It has been the pattern when a year ends and another approaches. The bullish run of Bitcoin is happening much earlier though. I was not expecting BTC to reach as high as $4000 plus this August.

I too hope that bitcoin would continue to move in bullish trend for some more years. This would happen because bitcoin has got legalized in japan and south korea and india are soon to legalize bitcoin which would be followed by many other countries like australia and philippines. This would create a great increase in demand for bitcoins which would trigger its price more.More over, the only big issue of high transaction fee has also been solved after segwit activation and also bitcoin has survived after hard fork.Mass adoption of bitcoin is taking place all over he world. All these factors would help bitcoin to continue in bullish trend for some more years.

I'm not saying that a huge correction will not happen during the 2017 to 2018 transition, but it definitely hasn't been the pattern for the past years (look at graph below). It only happened once, which was during mid January of 2017. No one really knows. It might happen next week, next month, next year. It's really just very unpredictable.

But personally, I think the correction won't take long as next year. I think it will happen in less than 3 months, since also like you said, bitcoin grew too much in price this month and last month. Then again, that's only my guess.

This is no longer the bitcoin of what we all know, it is a completely different currency, its development is so terrible that we can predict. The higher the value, the greater the risk of collapse.

If it rises or not doesn't matter for one year especially for me. Its increase or decrease only matters on a long run and obviously like anyone else  i want it to increase. But if it doesn't show good results in like 5 years ,then i would take necessary steps. But such things is not likely to happen because Bitcoin is the very first crypto-currency and if it falls ,then all crypto currencies will meet its end is what i have heard. So please people stop having such accusations on bitcoin.

What exactly is "the bitcoin we all know"? How different is it?
Since day 1 the risk was very high.
It will take time until the price will be more stable.

I believe we need to wait for 2T$ market cap and only then it will start to stabilize.

First of all its completely wrong to even compare 2013 and 2017, it's not everything the same. Bitcoin has changed a lot since then, segwit is locked in, and there is nothing left to stop the Bitcoin juggernaut, it's only one way, why are you waiting for 2018, it's already crossed 4k what's there to stop it. If you haven't brought it, you missed a chance, if it dips then buy and be happy.

I dont think that this is a reflection of 2013. It may be similar but if you compare the price of btc now as to the price of 2013 btc clearly there is a huge difference. I think this bubble will still rise by the end of the year and fall significantly then will rise back up again. Im not saying that this is a bad time to buy btc but you can spend a few $$$ and still make a profit by the end and for long term since more and more countries are accepting btc then most likely price will sky rocket by next year.

Truth is many people are waiting for the correction now to enter. Some of my friends (for example) which never were interested in Bitcoin, are now paying some interest and waiting a correction to jump in. Old Bitcoiners also are waiting for it to go down to buy more...the point is that, in case the correction happens, it will be softened and short lived because of the people who is waiting to buy more.

I agree. Bitcoin's decentralization is implemented properly throughout the time through distribution to a much wider audience though we can't say for sure that it has attained absolute decentralization yet.

This will happen since Bitcoin has huge market and demand backing it up. If somehow price correction will happen, it will not go down further beyond and will have a new floor i.e. a new low along with the new high.

why do you even ask about 2018's rise as if you have doubts about it?!!
there is nothing indicating otherwise. it will continue rising for years to come.
granted we have another big drama coming up in a couple of months with the 2 MB hard fork but that will be another temporary speed bump on this way towards higher prices as bitcoin is being adopted more every day.

I do the same thing. But I dare my self to buy more btc when the price around $3.8k, I think this august is the bitcoin month, and there still a few days more for the segwit activation, I've no idea what will happen after that. I've wait once when it price still around $3k, but I've not seen a dump, so I decide to buy more on that price. So talk about how long will Bullish, I think until the end of august.

The rapid recuperation after each real retracement since the start of 2017 is a wonder that has presented some uniqueness in the trend pattern of the Bitcoin showcase.

Yup.. Correction must exist.. why? Because, if there is a rise there must be down.. natural law. nobody knows... Yes .. honestly, I strongly believe that Bitcoin prices will continue to rise, but I also have to believe that the high price will be a very drastic decline. Because not everyone who entered the market will have the same stance. Bitcoin is the best Investment, I am convinced that bitcoin is a medium-term investment.

Nobody can answer this question, everything points towards bitcoin growing & becoming more powerful. Mainstream adoption will increase, institutional investors will come in. Everything is uber positive, bitcoin is going nowhere

We won't see epic dumps ever again like we did due to MtGox. Sure there will be corrections but bitcoin is starting to clench its fists in the world of finance.

Any worst situation on cryptocurrency market can happening, so have some strategies to deal with them very important, maybe important than how to earning more profit when trading because do that helps you keep safe your funds + opportunity earning profit.

Bitcoin is becoming more and more well known in the mainstream investment circles. I don't think we can use previous trends as a reliable prediction of the future.
That's what all traders are using to predict future price.
Do you know why all the patterns in trading theory work and appear again and again? Because people are studying them, looking for similarities and acting according to them.
In other words trading theory proves to work because people believe in it and want it to work. If they start predicting a crash it will happen.

This kind of question always popped up, just take the ride since no one knows when this bullish trend will stop. Just think of it, after the tremendous negative speculations during August 1st, still bitcoin wins the game and now experiencing a strong pump. The support really getting stronger since we are not in the current price like this if there's no decent amount $$$$$ will be injected in the bitcoin market.

Enjoy the ride and stop worrying. If ever a crashed will happened like up to $1,000, its still not enough to called it as a crash.

we would always expect a long bullish period . just becareful when the correction really happened, it could even dropped to the lowest ever. just like what happened few years ago when the price dropped more than 50% and people start suffering a very huge loss. high risk high rewards , that is the principle , you should be responsible to every single consequences.

Bitcoin doesn't follow common sense and so reading old charts and statistical analysis could be misleading and might leave a trader disappointed and so I don't expressly rely on the past trends before I buy or sell.

No one can really say for sure how long will bitcoin will be bullish. There is this possibility that a market will have price dips from time to time. This is needed so that new investors can penetrate and buy bitcoin. Too much expectation on bitcoin that is why we are seeing it as bullish. But one negative news will tip it the other side. We should enjoy this bullish trend that we are seeing, but at the same time be cautious of it as well because anytime that a big hand make a sell orders, weak hands follow and panic. Just enjoy the momentum that are going on right now.

Now... this year 2017 is a reflection of 2013...  Bitcoin prices rose significantly along with increased adoption and problem-solving. But whether Bitcoin prices can still rise in 2018 later? While the price correction of the price spike has not occurred at all. So what do you think guys?
You know what? I always wish I had an opportunity to invest into Bitcoin when it was around at least $250, by now I will only be making withdrawals, gathering profits an saying a very big thank you to the bullish price, lol. Congrats to those who made it then, now they’re enjoying the benefits of an early adoption of bitcoin.

$250?

I wish I invested when it was $15... :/

There is nothing we can do about lost opportunities. We just need to move forward and keep our head cool and make smart investments NOW, and we will not need to look back and think of what could have been, because we learned from our mistakes and achieved success. Just keep calm and Bitcoin on, and in a few years we'll look back and be glad we did. ;)

$ 250, you're probably talking about the value of bitcoin eight years ago. At that time, it only carried a very low value, people even throw away their bitcoin. I bet that many people feel sorry when bitcoin goes up to $ 4,000

Why does everyone always say this the same as in 2013? This is not the same as the 2013 event! But I will not fuss about it. I prefer to enjoy the profits at current prices, so I've sold half of it and held some for next "laps".

What do you fear of here? That bitcoin will go all the way down from current price and we may end up loosing everything?

Same thing happened on 06/30/2017 (date extracted from newsbtc) when the price correction was pending but the price rose all the way to $2600. The technical development like this repeat itself whenever there are changes in the blockchain.

Rise in bitcoins price and correction of spikes may be not having correlation in the virtuality as per my thinking. But whatever you experiencing with it I guess we should use it as way to trade the bitcoin efficiently.

In my opinion, I still think this thought not wrong, because be carefully with the current price of Bitcoin not bad idea.

Bitcoin prices rose significantly along with increased adoption and problem-solving.

Has adoption really increased this year? Or have existing bitcoin conscious folks just doubled down on their bets?

According Blockhain.info charts (https://blockchain.info/charts/n-unique-addresses) the number of unique bitcoin addresses is roughly the same today as it was back in January. That's probably the best gauge we have of adoption.

That is for safety reasons dude. If bitcoin is spend continuously in exchange and other online sites, it direct or buy by some set of people and destroy it. I personally do not want that to happen.
Whenever price hold it for 6 months, market cannot manage it without proper supply in the marketplace then price will stable in some range.

Right. This year is more progressive for bitcoin compared to the recent years. Having more prosperous countries like Japan and South Korea in the bitcoin world is really a huge difference.

I hope we are all able to enjoy the bullish trend for quite a while. At the moment there is nothing indicating that it will drop dramatically, but then one can never be sure

well its only your prediction, but as we know that bitcoin step into global market with very slow hands but steadily it speed ups and now everyone say that it is the bullish trend of bitcoin, but I think it is the bitcoin popularity that makes them that much bullish but trust me the dropdown will not going to happen, because there is no need of that, everything is stable.

I really don't like sentiments like this. When people are just spreading the negative word when they don't really understand via which bitcoin is suffering. The bitcoin price movement is not related with "bullish trends" but its more or less "real corrections in the blockchain". Now I don't want to go all into speculations of bitcoin price and the events like hard fork but these are the external and internal factors that decides the ultimate fate of bitcoin and its value in the market.

What about after 2020? The bitcoin will go down? I don't think so.

For this year, until we get $5,000, the market will likely to be bullish for bitcoin.

Bitcoin will definitely touch $6k this year. The demand was already high. But all that FUD and uncertainly in the month of July lead to a dip. But acceptance is increasing and hence the investors were only waiting for August and with Segwit being locked in there is another positive wave in community. Now the price will be on uptrend with some short term ups and downs.

There is no way to say how long bitcoin will keep growing.
I think it has to do something with convincing new people to join the bitcoin community.
But nobody can tell you how many people of the world are already dealing with bitcoin, or how high the growth rates of new members are.
When you look around here you will often see the assumption bitcoin will increase now at least for a few years.
But then again, you have to keep in mind that we are on a bitcoin board. People write often what they wish to come true.

Your statement is pretty optimistic, bitcoin price is in long term uptrend with occasional falls I need to correct you, and since the beginning of the year price is x3 higher, that is a good argument.
I think this uptrend will stop in one moment, price is rising for too long and we will see correction soon. Bullish trend need to make a pause in one moment, but that is only my prediction. Bitcoin price surprised us all many times, and for making future predictions we need to think outside the box. Bitcoin price will definitely go very high, what is hard for me to predict is whit which tempo price will go up, and how many dips we will see until we make it to the top. Did I say top, will anyone here dare to guess where is bitcoin top?

I'm personally hoping it will go down again soon so I can pick some more up.  $4100 is too high for me right now so I'll be waiting.  I'm guessing by the end of August it will have peaked and be ready for a correction.
But that would be beneficial if you were holding a lot of bitcoin in your wallet. I think it will rise very fast next year. If you now spend money to invest then you may be rich quick. We can see that from the present.

All your talk is good except the thing you said “bullish slow”, it will never going to happen at least in next 3 years, because it’s just start for the bitcoin and this bullish behavior end at least after 3 years and after then it will move slowly, I’m well reader of graphs and that is what I have been thinking since this sudden increase starts.

This is just normal and I think we already set a new mental barrier for traders, that is $4000. We have seen a price correction the last 24 hours from a high of $4500 to $4100. But this is a healthy price correction so that new faces can enter into the ecosystem bringing fresh influx of cash. Let us see where and how it will pan out this time and see if you can go $4500 again.

The next halving in around two years time will be another milestone for bitcoin. Price could potential grow by folds maybe reaching $10000. I agree, we don't want the price of bitcoin rose in just few days and thinking that it is a bubble that will burst anytime soon. But rather a slow but steady phase as this rally makes me cautious. But I'm not worried because I know that bitcoin would not experience a major crash right now because we have yet to arrived into Segwit actual activation.

nobody could predict the 2013 pump's top because it was a fake pump not a rally. this here is not a pump anymore today. it is a rally. if someone predicted 2013 then he made a lucky guess and this time by extension he is trying to do the same.

we currently have the October 2x drama on the way and that can decide the fate of bitcoin for this year depending on which way it will go. and because it has a large miner support it will be different than BCC.

I think it will still depend on the market, so i think it will last from 1 to 2 months because of investing to other ICO. With using the bitcoin the marketcap will gradually decrease and i think this will be the perfect time to buy also the bitcoin as an long term investment. Just an opinion unlike investing to banks which is much lower the profit than in bitcoin.

Yes, that is what he has been trying to impart. He is saying that the momentum will continue until 2019 and at the end of the bull run, Bitcoin will have peaked at $40,000 to $100,000. So we have to get as much Bitcoins as we can now. 50 Bitcoins is $5 million at $100,000 each.

The 2x fork might not happen because Segwit has already locked in and hence it is not required. If happened it wouldn't have much effect. If there would be a drop it wouldn't be drastic.

The price will now keep on rocketing because there is a positive wave related to cryptocurrencies no matter how much FUD news channels spread. People are knowing it and acceptance is increasing. Bitcoin was in uptrend before too but there was a halt because of all that uncertainty in month of July. Now I think demand have increased considerably.

I don't believe we are in a single 2 year bull run with a crash at the end. I think 2017 is the very start of mass acceptance of bitcoin, which will take place over several years, which will involve all major investment firms allowing people to buy bitcoin through them, bitcoin becoming a normal investment asset to hold, gaining acceptance as a way to pay for things online (when amazon has a "pay with bitcoin button" that'll be the catalyst), people in countries whose government money management is questionable will start using bitcoin as their bank accounts. By the time the exponential growth is over in a few years bitcoin will be at 6 figures.

Don't think it's gonna go up quite so high so quickly, but i'd love it if it did! Figure 100k might not be under 2021 or 2022

Crash wont happen into this year just like on what happen on 2013 event as far as i remember. Bitcoins price do have really a good support on which price crashes wont happen anytime soon. There might be some dips but wont really be considered as crash. This is what i like on bitcoin as of these days, acceptance and adoption is becoming stronger and stronger which means we cant really see a crash anytime soon. Bullish trend might continue depending on the demand.

Demand bitcoin this year very high, this bullish will continue to happen as has been predicted many people sometime before. Probably in february 2018, bitcoin will experience a slight decrease. But not very significant.

The bullish run will drive hard to moon price as far it can before the next fork, also the news running to this event will act as temporary reversals. Time to be wary is months close to this event

Although, I understand not have any bad news in next time until last this year can make the price of Bitcoin decreasing or flash crash, but I scared the scenario of whales will doing the oppsite our predicts and make us surprise.

I guess bitcoin will continue to bullish as long as more and more investors are investing in it. And with this month's thread I think it will continue until next year. Other pioneers even predicting it to bubble as high as 15,000 by the end of the year. But I'm still having doubt about that number. Although there's nothing impossible with btc right now. If that happens we'll all be flying to the moon!

i think it will continue until 2019 and at the end of the bull run, because it is wave3 ,the biggest one

If it is not too much to ask, can you post a chart and describe what and point where wave 3 is in connection with the other waves? Thanks.

Can you tell me the reason make you have predict in February 2018? I think this year still not ended and the time until next year also fairly long. However, I also have some predict like you about correction price of Bitcoin, but my time is before last this year, maybe October or November will happening.

I think it will be bullish as long as the people still embrace it and using it. Bitcoin still exist because many people are earning and spreading it so it will still at the top for so many years. It will last long because of the demand of the people and if it become legal the possibility of it being at the top always remains.

One friend of mine asked me about Bitcoin, and he previously didn't know much nor he had chance to read this kind of topics - he just don't has time for this. But he will invest in BTC just in "case",  as I understood him he will place it in cold storage and won't look at the price..Few years.. This level of trust in BTC now is awesome! People expecting much much more!

Now... this year 2017 is a reflection of 2013...  Bitcoin prices rose significantly along with increased adoption and problem-solving. But whether Bitcoin prices can still rise in 2018 later? While the price correction of the price spike has not occurred at all. So what do you think guys?
I think that the bullish market will not end and would continue and we would not be able to see once again the bearish market.Bitcoin has successfully overcome the hard fork which every one feared and just waited to see whether bitcoin could survive or not and so they all have started to buy bitcoins with confidence and this trend seems to continue for at least next few years.

It it not the same situation as back then, the growth this year has been a lot slower and the bitcoin awareness is way higher right now than back then it is obvious there is going to be a decrease in price but it is not going to be a crash like the 2013 crash.

2013 will never happen again. Now bitcoin has become much stronger than a few years ago.
And so now it can fall in price by only a few percent. At this stage of development of this coin - such growth is a normal development

Looks the chart is very strong right now although the bitcoin cash seems try to take the opportunity to gain the support by the bitcoin supporters, but it will never back below $2000 again. I just understand the bitcoin will always bullish everytime. Just got a little percent decrease due to the price correction, it seems really fine for me.

I would have said that 2017 was nothing like 2013 a month ago before btc went up to a crazy $4.5k, but now it indeed is resembling 2013 conditions. People are over optimistic and buying blindly, and i see ads everywhere about making money in bitcoin.

I'd expect a new year to be a new chapter for bitcoin, once again. This pump is probably not going to last into much of next year. potentially, it could go to the end of this year but if it continues any longer it'll be bursting at any time.

The reason why it's not correcting yet is because of the fact that more and more people are still buying in, for some reason. This can't last forever, 10x returns in a year is crazy enough. I just can't see it go to 15x or 20x, even though it is technically possible.

Bitkoyn price is currently at 4,065 USD mark after the 5k rally.

Do you think this is the bottom? Or further correction on the price?

Worst case scenario I can possibly imagine is a slow bleed back to the 2500 range but I doubt we'll see anything below the mid 3k's.  Certainly not a year long 5x depreciation again.

No one knows because Bitcoin is way unpredictable the only thing that is consistent with its price is change. Bitcoin is volatile so sudden decrease on its price is already expected. Fluctuations therefore seems to be normal.  But surely, it will continue rising for years to come because the demand is also rising. Its market value is dependent to the market demand so there's a huge possibility.

If that happens then it will certainly make some Chaos like a panic that could even make this incident worse. But I'm not sure this will happen because bitcoin prices up to now always provide stability, if seen then the increase and decrease will only move in the range of 10%.

Do you think 10% not much? Look at profit from saving in bank every year, just 7%/year you can say this is high profit. If you can earn 10% per week or per month, you are good trader and this profit is dream of almost traders from Forex or Stock market 8)

The support at 1800 was tested and for now a solid utter low floor.
However when looking towards the last days we either can go back to 3800 or lower or 4000 dollar will hold, which would be great.

if we are in decline phase then we are in depth of bitcoin price, and i think then it is the best time to invest you money in bitcoin. because very soon the correction will over and the price of bitcoin will start increasing. therefore i think we need to invest our assets in bitcoin in present time, because there are still chances that bitcoin price will continue increasing.

It will definitely gow for the next ten years, but I highly doubt that its growth will be continuous since Bitcoin is volatile. Fluctuations are already expected that its value will change as time is passing by  such that there'll be times that its market value will be low and also times that it will be high. I hope that its increase will continue for the next years to come and the dumps will just be temporary.

I can't see the bearish support right ,
All i can see is about the correction , from overpriced around $5,000 down to $4,000 ,
It's just the matter of market stabilize i think ,
Sooner or later will be back up especially in the next year , the end of year for bitcoin always about correction time.

Really confused of how price correction is a "must" and need to happen based on many traders' thinking while the reality, it's not necessarily need to happen after the price increase.
There may be a crash in the future but who knows, we're heading for a new ATH and expecting it to happen, another dump or price crash is just other thing.

Current bullish trend of Bitcoin market only by the airdrop money Bitcoin Gold from hardfork in November. So, I do not think Bitcoin can keep its value after that time. As it is, we are all just speculating anyway. But like you said, everyone is trying to join the free coin train which is the reason altcoins are dropping really fast and bitcoin taking the huge peak for it. However, I feel even after the fork, there will still be a huge spike as people will still end up dumping their BCG mostly for bitcoin (win-win)... BCG does not have any support as far as I know and mostly it will be dead pretty fast, not long after it arrives. The major focus now is the core and segwit2x which I am not just sure how that would fair.

Yes,nowadays most of people have started to eagerly expect the hard fork to happen and to get access to free coins. Now,they are just waiting for bitcoin gold.Actually it has no miners support since it has proposed to change algorithm so that it could be even mined with GPU.

Earlier, bitcoin was predicted to move in a bullish trend through out the year. But,creation of BU,then BCH due to hard fork and recently china's policy change about bitcoin affected its price. And even now, bitcoin gold creation due to hard fork and segwit 2x activation are awaiting. So,its hard to say that bitcoin would continue in bullish trend till the end of this year.

Bitcoin is completely unpredictable and when the prediction gives closer result, we can find lots of users in the profiting group. I believe the ongoing bullish trend will continue till the fork. Once after the fork for a short time period there might be a bearish trend, after which once again the bullish trend might start again providing path for a large scale growth.

Once a new ATH is reached even if there will be a correction, we might not get anything lower than we already have it. Bitcoin though is unpredictable and we cannot really know the extent of a dump but for sure won't be bad.

The bullish trend seems very promising at this stage though and if there will be a huge dump in future, no one knows which i doubt, a very huge dump will ever happen without having people ready to bounce in at the slightest chance of getting at a lower value.
