Great question. We admittedly were not aware of the aforementioned site.

Ethbooks is different as it targets a certain niche: crypto-info-seekers. So the ebooks that will be published on EthBooks will have something to do with cryptocurrencies.

There are so many people out there seeking credible and reliable information on this new and booming phenomenal of cryptos, but very little is available currently.

We aim to fill that gap by allowing authors to publish their work on our platform under different topics related to cryptocurrencies for free. On the other end crypto-info thirsty buyers will be able to search, review and purchase the ebooks that interest them.

This is a very interesting and unique project. The first of it's kind. I met the founder of EthBooks, Sebastian Lucas early May this year in San Jose, California at NVIDIA's GPU Technology Conference where we discussed several important topics in computing including accelerated analytics, AI, virtual reality and many more. I'm glad to be part of this project as a contributor.

I've participated in the pre-sale just for the extra bonus and to secure my EBK tokens early enough because I'm sure the EthBooks platform will be big if the team continues to work hard. Just my 2 cents!  ;)

they managed to collect 7200 ETH in their pre sale. about the question you ask, sorry but i cant answer that but what i am sure is that they have a hard cap of  42 500 ETH. and what i am sure is that the amount they collected on pre sale will be subtracted from the hard cap. so they only need to raise 35 300 ETH  to close the ico.

It looks like an original project. Every logical job which is not copied, works good at the market. Copies usually end with frustration. It is very good at sales. Even if it will not collect any more, it will be enough for them. 3M dollar is enough money for this project. I guess more money will not work for anything except to make the team reach. It may make a surprise distribution in the signature. The one who joined will not lose.

Another project that I missed. Usually I follow up the foreign forums but I missed it. They have collected good money. They will continue to collect until finishing of ico. I guess they will finish it at 5 million dollar. Of course all icos' destiny at the end is similar. No need to enter ico, when they release to the market for sure they will be dumped.

Yes yesterday they announced in the Twitter about their listing in the exchanges, but till now they didn't have any specific details about exchanges names. It is going to be sign if bittrex is in the list.

man this project raised an insane amount of money, but I just can't get what people expect to come out of it. I mean, the global ebook sales are meaningless if you're launching a online bookshop that's focused only on crypto books that can be bought with crypto. my guess is if there isn't some hidden project, some planned deals, this will go south fast. just think that there are other blockchains or tokens on eth that are far ahead in the monetisation of creative works and that have a whole bigger audience, target and offer - not just crypto books!

I was watching this project closely and I really surprised it turned out to be a SCAM. Don't be shy and say this loud they SCAM - now it's a fact. I read about ETHBooks problems in a different thread and check this thread to make sure is true. I wanted invest after ethbook hits Exchanges and price stabilise but it turns out it's finished before that.

There was a good vibe when first the project was started and everyone was much excited to see how the sale was going and anticipating it to reach the hard cap.OP has not responded after the crowdsale and this has raised some concerns for all of us.I would wait for some days to see if they do respond to their delay in communicating with the investors, if not it's a confirmed scam!

I agree it is not necessary to have an escrow if you have designed the smart contract to set a price and deliver the tokens but who does the audit for the code when there can be a major flaw in the code being set up.Edgeless, gambling project too had an escrow for the project which used smart contract and I consider this should have been done over here as well.

The team has not been active since the ico was concluded in October, there is no news afterthat.No escrow was set up for this project.So its a scam with no refund to any investor till date.
