The world is now made of products originating from China, they have been lending to many countries and enlarging their sphere of influence starting many years ago and now they can flex their muscles anytime and the whole world can be reacting with some awe and fear. Cryptocurrency should have been an exception to the growing of China but alas because many miners are located in China, this country is always highlighted and given so much focus.

I do not really see this as any news since Chinese never came out to say they were banning bitcoin in the first place. Some whales only took that as a means to make gullible people react to the market so they can buy at low price. Good for those who fell for it.

Bitcoin was expected to fall below $4000 earlier than this Chinese FUD has started. I don't know why people are panicking like hell by seeing FUD news. On top of this JP Morgan CEO's news had reached main stream media and people that this is the end.

I agree. This seems a bit orchestrated by someone to buy cheaper bitcoins. But that is not bad either. It means they will buy again, so Bitcoin will recover. And maybe is time to buy a little more now.

That. People should think for once; is it really coincidence that each time the price is going up significantly, Chinese fud is popping up? As long as people keep reacting to this sort of fud, the sentiment, and eventually the market will continue to get affected. You can't really blame those guys who very much reacted to every negative news today, specially coming from the Chinese. Those are really weak hands indeed and the strong hands are laughing out loud seeing people falling for their trap. Yes, those entities from behind had already made millions out of this speculative market and entering again at this very floor price. The best thing for us is to really warn them not to panic and keep calm from this drop. But I guess they are really nervous about losing their investment and the only way to exit is to sell without thinking that the logical option is just to hodl. Well cant really blame them because for most users who had been here longer than us could just see this issue as another pump. Btc is virtual so government does not really have an upperhand in it cause its run by developers or what you said big entities. It will raise because only people are panic about the news that's all. People should remember one thing why do people will react to news because there are many other major countries where Bitcoin transaction are legit. Those who are talking negatively in the background they bought tons of Bitcoin for their future.

I didn't react to the rumour mill (not by selling anything, anyway) and I'm sure the majority of actual holders didn't as well. At the same time, this latter behaviour (of yesterday, not the weekend) does seem like some people are learning their lessons from 2013 and 2014.

I'm pretty sure whales would have at least diversified out a small portion of their coins. In fact, it's a natural hedging strategy. There would also have been those whose stop losses simply triggered at $3990 or lower, when they bought at low $4,000s as the uptrend did not happen. That would help explain the shedding in exchanges other than in South Korea (Bithumb).

Those are good news, but since they are not official, they are just as good as the news from them ban itself. People really need to stop over reacting on rumors, and just wait for the official news. In my opinion, for an official decision, we need to wait for the end of the Communist party in October. China government has been stopping several type of investments (including real estate and soccer, for example) mostly for internal political reasons. If this is really a real news not a fake news then this is indeed this is a good news we just hope that this new information will recover immediately the declining value of bitcoins and altcoins which is now in effect this week due to the news that China ban the ICO and the bitcoin. But if this news is true or not i believe the declining value is just temporary because of those panic people in which maybe they sell their bitcoin and altcoin quickly.

I too have started to believe now that investment at this time needs to be avoided. It seems that overall there will be a negative impact after CEO of JPM have started that bitcoin is a fraud. Good decision you guys took. See how the price is falling today. Right now the price is $3400 i think tomorrow morning we will see the price below $3000. After all, China government never mentioned to ban bitcoin, but it seems they are looking a way to restric cryptocurrencies trading in order to prevent the exploitation of bitcoin for money laundering, foreign exchange conversion, pyramid schemes and other illegal activities, or they just want to limit trading volume out of the country.
Actually, the good news for traders is when bitcoin price will crash, so they can sell off again and buy back at the lowest price.

I do not really view that as damage. Speculations are normal. Some people fall for it and dump fast while some people use it as a way to stash up. We all have the information at our fingertip and if anyone could not properly read through the news to know there was never really a danger anywhere in the first place, then it is their cup of tea.

Yes the panic was created as it was misinterpreted that govt of China is banning exchanges. They have certainly banned ICO but not exchanges which is considered a positive signal and due to which market have starting to rise back again and cross 3800$ almost a rise of 850$ from yesterday.

They are the biggest buyer of bitcoin when the price hits bottom 24 hours ago. And Dimon has manipulated the price and riding from all the bruhaha that China has started. I suspect from the beginning as well that there are indeed entities behind trying to bring down the market price and sway it in this favor. There might be a lot of news that will be out regarding this discovery, but I don't know if JPMorgan will admit to it or not. Lessons learned. Do not trust bankers.

Pesonally I must say that I would welcome regulative actions people can rely on.
All this up and down the last week was a result because people did not know what to believe and what to do.
When you have a set of rules all the uncertainty would not have started.

 I think before making such move it is a must to be complete with details and well published. So it will not affect the market as many speculation and rumors is circulating around because of lacked of fundamentals of declaring any policy. But if it is what already have planned or orchestrated mainly to spread tensions and panic for the interests of few is not a good ideas. I am just glad that this bear run is finally going to end. That is really a good news that now that it is clear that they will not ban bitcoin exchange. Maybe BTCC will retract their statement that they will close their exchnage. We can continue the bull run to a new ATH.

I don't see it that way. In my opinion, the Chinese has been busy figuring out how to protect their people from the remote scammers. Everybody knows the solidarity of the Chinese when it comes to economic issues. They will not let other nationalities earn money from them (and the easiest way to do that is through ICOs and on-line exchanges).

Does china really trying hard to manipulate bitcoin enthusiasts ? This is really ridiculous!. Earlier there are articles stating that banning of cryptocurrencies, bitcoins is really happening and now this news?. Or are they making up and trying to put up a show for another price drop of bitcoin?. If china doesn't want bitcoin then it can go away from the bitcoin system, does Chinese Government really want to control bitcoin? I think it is impossible to happen.

If it is true, then it is really good news for bitcoin and also for bitcoin users. Because i was so confuse about my bitcoins, hold it or sell it. Thank God, China said it that it is fake new, it give us confidence that in coming days bitcoin rise up again and come soon bitcoin will be reached at $5000 to $5500 in the end of this year.

Actually any government can not control cryptocurrency because it is decentralize and have no data center, it is peer to peer.  China can not control the crypto currency so they trying to control the investors. So traders do not have to be afraid about it.

There is a recent tweet from Charlie Lee that China will not ban mining and the network so this is still a good news though he confirms that China did banned the exchanges. And what makes me comfortable that there will be a good price increase for the upcoming weeks to come is that we experienced most of the time is only dumped. This month is bloody for bitcoin so maybe October is greener pasture.

If that tweet is real and official, then I can say that China is really just making fun of us. They are taking advantage of those people who easily get panic when there are  negative news like the recent one. The point of Bitcoin being decentralized is that they cannot be ban from any sort of country, if they can ban it then Bitcoin will not be decentralized at all and that they are controlled by a single authority. Can someone clarify that I am right?

Selling the bitcoin in emergency for low price is not at all false.You use your long term Holding only for your emergency. So there is nothing wrong in that. Not literally making fun of us but they are doing something in the economy of crypto currency in their country's stand about it. Regulating, making laws about ICO's as I noticed that there are some news too that they will remove those bans after making an appropriate law about ICO's so that's a good one but I don't have an idea if they will still pursue the shut down of the exchanges there.

I will second to what all you have said without having a second thought even. You have correctly said that Bitcoin market price will for sure increase tremendously very soon. So there is no point of selling them at low cost in spite of the fact that you can earn a handsome amount of profit from Bitcoins by holding them.

I dont think this is came from a legitimate source but if this is true then this will help bitcoin back to stable form. China declared before that they will ban bitcoin because bitcoin is volatile that it cant be control and afraid it will be use for bad things like money laundering that it will be a threat  for their nation economy interest and security. Well, bitcoin is again above 4000$ so for those who have bought it when it was about 3000$ this is a very nice profit. That shows it was the good decision. The price will probably stay volatile for a while but from now up into the future the profit only could be better. And don't bother because of China or Korea their impact is not that big.

China FUD actually affected the market value of Bitcoin,but all the same Bitcoin is back to  $4,000 and above with full force which signifies that no developed nation can single handedly stop Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency and the whole world will follow suite. Exactly China have declared all these news as fake. Only FUDs were being created by bitcoin haters to make it down. Still there are some channels that are assuring of these news as no fake. What to believe and what to not, will get to know later. For now, just buy bitcoins and enjoy the rise.

If government tries then that will only be the waste of time and resources. Regulating Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies will be in the best interest of government. There was no rumour or fake news about the ban in china bevayse they themselves declared that they won't be doing any ICO or bitcoin operation within china territory.

I have not heard of a country outright banning Bitcoin/blockchain altogether. That seems like quite a drastic measure. USA is built on banking and still has not even made BTC illegal.

Actually it is not only the case with bitcoins, but every other entity on this world. You may observe that from one specific field, only few from millions are pumped out as legends and experts. Others are just working for money. Bitcoin have same pain, we are many here but we actually don’t know anything else out of our specific work circle.

I think the good info is bitcoin having hardfork for the umpteenth time, I think bitcoin in 1 year is already experiencing hardfork 2x and this is very advantageous because bitcoin price can go up higher.

I think that there are a lot of good news for the traders, but in present time i think that good news is that bitcoin price has started increasing, and hope that this trend will continue for a long time. I am sure even China eventually came to realise that after so many attempts of trying to manipulate the market. Some ICOs have been helpful to boost the crypto community while some have just used the avenue to scam people, so eventually, controlling some of them most especially from China wont have any effect on bitcoin and it is not like the news itself whether they ban bitcoin or not in china will have any effect as people now already understand whales are always the ones generating such FUDs for their benefit.

Not sure what you have been smoking, but I think you are mixing up a few things, or simply don't know what you are talking about. The Segwit2x hard fork, if it ever turns out to happen, can only be a major *temporary* hindrance for Bitcoin's growth, so I don't really see why you look at this as being a very profitable situation. ::) It's always the same here, when the price is going up nicely, people get excited and bullish, but if the next day the price starts to tank, all previous bullish sentiment and predictions will be gone and make place for bears. People just surf the market and change their view and sentiment based on the volatility of the market.

I think there are two major events for bitcoin traders this October. The first is the huge price increase that is today. 2. The division event that will be on October 25th. The bitcoin price is not adversely affected during hope split. I think the price of bitcoin will be adversely affected.

Bitcoin price now is increasing as we approach the hard fork because many here are holding their coins tight so they can get the equivalent amount of bitcoin gold. And after the hard fork maybe there will be a minor dump in bitcoin price.

If only people believed to that real news before. They should've been smiling now with their funds almost getting doubled. Problem is the FUD was spread too much that they cant see this kind of news at that time.

In case you don’t know, by November, there would have been 3 forks this year alone. Development happens and so many times we will see so many trying to use the development to their own advantage even when they know it is not necessary and it is just as dead on arrival but seems as an avenue to generate some free cash.

Surely the possibility of bitcoin's price going higher is normal since people will apparently end up dumping one coin for the other which in this case we already know which coin will end up being dumped. The only fork, that seems unpredictable now still remains the November fork anyway and I guess only time will tell.

It's the proven fact that governments or any other institutions cannot regulate the use of Bitcoin. They can ban the companies dealing in Bitcoin business, merchants accepting Bitcoins as a payment method but imposing a complete ban on the usage of Bitcoin is near to impossible as it is distributed in nature and it's out of control now unlike the situation in 2009-10 when it was limited to the less number of users. This would push the price of Bitcoin up but I am expecting a correction soon for some other reasons.

The likelihood is there will be no official news announcement, China won't just openly declare all of their intentions for bitcoin so often you have to read between the lines, the fact only a couple exchanges shut down and the rest continue to be operating pretty much as normal shows that in likelihood it is just a case of having to play by the rules a little more

Actually, I was convinced that all this information that came to us about what the government of China has done has no rational grain. I believed that the Chinese will still deal with the crypto currency, but only the Chinese government will do everything to control this process.

It can only be banned in their country as this does not ban bitcoin globally and does not stop bitcoin from being used in any other country. China although already said banning bitcoin is impossible and all they are doing is to find a way to regulate it.

This was not official news from china. China did same what they anounced before but luckily bitcoin got no negative effects and the price gradually goes up.
Actually people didn't react to ban rumours and continued buying bitcoins as they were doing before.
This is why bitcoin is on top by our vigorous demand an effort.

It has actually dropped a little bit by $300 in value compared to the past few days which is not really much of a concern anyway as I believe we will still experience some real huge pump before the fork still. However, it is interesting to know that the support is growing stronger and FUDs are gradually going to become a thing of the past by whales at the long run.

No one will be able to ban bitcoin. Bitcoin is decentralized currency and not in the control of anyone. A lot of bitcoin trader fears when the lesson about that china has banned the bitcoin in their country so I want to remind them that bitcoin is a currency which is controllable by any person or government. Chinese did wrong to themselves and they had lost their importance in the crypto values and their own people are opposing to the government decisions and those who had enough resources yes they will surely move their assets to other countries and this is good approach to earn in bitcoin through some other region. I think the only thing that was banned by the chinese here were exchange platforms. People would probably still be able to keep their btcs. But yeah, it won't be long before china would lift that since there's a very big market for btc in china and it can be taken advantage of. China did not in any way ban bitcoin, but shut down exchanges until they comply to their rules of opening exchanges in china, leaving only two to be operating presently as far as I know. Whales only used this to generate FUD to make weak hands drop their coins to their benefit and shame on those who fell for it.

I like it when there is a government that has gotten its hands dirty enough to understand the reality of BTC for them.  While there is no way to actively stop the use and trading, there are some controls that can be put into place, like KYC and such.  They know that it is better to allow the BTC use and then they can have a better idea of what is going on because it is so open and transparent. 

It is better to have a wide open market system and imply certain restrictions along the way, rather than lock everything down and know that the BTC trading is happening unseen behind the scenes.

When the government insist on ensuring KYC norms on bitcoin users, surely it will affect the entire growth scaling of the bitcoin. With trading users make a bigger growth through trading. I think if china not banned bitcoin, their citizens can make bitcoin blow up. There are potential market there in china to support bitcoin price.

I think it will also are tactic for them to buy cheap or to create panic in the people and wants the price to come down so, that they can invest in it. They already sold at at the high price and they are looking for a very good margin to buy again to make good profit, then decided to create panic. I see there is not impossible to ban bitcoin because bitcoin has change the people paradigm and almost people has love it and choose it as an investment. Although the Chinese government has banned bitcoin, but it will not affect globally and there are so many still use it.
