Dont stress out yourself brother. If you did invest on Bitcoin you did already know the risk since from the start. We are not only seeing price increase on here on which there are really dips on the price. You are not the only one whose losing money on here. For sure most people who did invests on bitcoin too.Worst comes for sure when we hit 2500 price again. We would really say "WTF" on that point. haha. Dont sell just hold on your coins as long you didnt sell you are still not losing some money.

You can be right. There is really an imbalance of the distribution of Bitcoin resulting into one or two countries almost having a grip of the whole market. However, it is also impossible to create an artificial distribution just for the sake of balancing the whole thing. This is all about demand so if there is really no big demand for a number of countries then there is nothing we can do about it. Right now, maybe it is really about time we disconnect Bitcoin from China. Bitcoin is not made in China so we can all have the best of our cryptocurrency journey without that country.

China is not doing anything to you. If you are familiar with the history of BTC you know all about how Chinese rumors are used to manipulate the market. Like other forms of fake news they start with a grain of truth. As best I can tell the Chinese government is going to crack down on ICOs. They think they are really just scams, which is basically correct. It's actually a boost to bitcoin. However there is  more money to be stolen made in a fearful market.  Fear caused people to act stupidly and that is the moment they will sell their coins cheep.

Can only partly agree - if another country goes bit on btc (not saying several other countries arent relatively big already) - regulations follow rather quickly.. Its just unfortunate that China took these steps so quick.. along with this JP morgan dickhead and bunch of other bad news hitting the market.. this is like the worst possible month PR-wise for Bitcoin..

The Problem grows further - BTC is hitting the mainstream - but if youre not involved with btc you get maybe 10% of the news we in here get after all.. and those news mostly consist only of "btc grew xxx%" followd by Dimons comment and news from china that bitcoin is a scam/ will get shut down

This takes away BTCs chance right now to become big and accepted by the masses, because how can a spokesman of the big banking system be full of bulls*** on this topic?

Makes it easier to stay away from crypto and less likely that people feel like they are msising out on a big opportunity which is to actually devalue and take power from the big players in the game and build their own system long-term..

One of the big reasons for this crackdown was the plight of millionaire class to move their funds abroad. they were using cryptos to easily avoid the 50k unit restriction for funds leaving china. one millionaire even went so far as to sue himself using a shell company in order escape the grip of the communist money restrictions it was in the news.

so it kinda makes sense that china is finally cracking down wanting to centralize its power once again and subject its people to its whims

But maybe the worst option, is the price of $ 2000

$ 2960 been the hights several time, and resistances tend to turn into support lines. This worst option could be assumed between former ATH from 2013 and this level. We are still above $ 3200 which I recognize of having been the area on a 6 days prolonged timespan. Will not drop through that in just minutes.

Maybe a full mempool and highest fees can slow down this melting process.

You should have known that Bitcoin is not for the faint hearted. We are making a revolution here, ups and downs come with the territory. If you want a nice and smooth travel, you should have never gotten involved with Bitcoin. Disruption means getting rich after traveling across numerous heavy storms. Long term hodlers will, as always, win.

And if you think about it, it's not China or USA or whatever else's fault, but the people that panic sell, these are ultimately the ones that crash the market. If no one reacted to the FUD, we wouldn't have crashes. It's simple.

it is a very big damage which will be healed in 1 year and more. If it breaks 3000$ barrier, BTC may crash to 1000$'s.

If you're worried over a $1000 decrease, then you should be ready for more. You haven't really lost anything yet as long as you haven't sold anything. I don't know why you're panicking too much on such small changes, guess you're one of those beginners who keeps falling for FUDs and are too obsessed on such minor fluctuations.

I have a very modest wallet,  but I'm in it for the long run and don't intend to sell at any dip.

I only invest in bitcoin what I can afford to loose and the current panic dip looks like an opportunity to invest a bit more.

Tough times but its the nature of the beast. If you're holding you still have the same volume so that's cool. If you're a trader then that's the game ... Buying in dips and selling at peaks.

He's just frustrated about that fluctuation, I did not bother about the fluctuations because this is bitcoin we are talking here, anything can surely happen just be glad that it is just a slight changed in the price, back then when I started earning bitcoin it was only $500 and right now that we attain the $3000 mark value I am surely happy about it, and even if bitcoin would reach the $2000 mark I will keep on holding and waiting for the price to rise again.

many people are losing money. The media only gain support in bitcoin when the price hits hights. we seen it before from the sub 100$ days to the $1000 mark then back to around 250-300$ mark back up to where we are today.

This will be a great opportunity to invest a bit more since the price is cheap and if the price will gonna go to $2900 or $3000 then it would be a great opportunity too. I hope more and more investors will be buying bitcoin and i also think that China's banning of ICOs is just temporary it will not long though. Please be stay calm and be patient.

China had their own part in this dump, but I think JP Morgan is more to be blamed. Most of these trader don't know a single thing about BTC and invent in it like any other stock, and well most of them are Americans, so if someone like JP Morgan calls BTC fraud it's obvious that these traders will panic sell asap. Thus causing this dump.

I think a lot of people are in the same boat.

Saying that I logged into my simpleFX account to day to see a 3.4 btc profit on LTC I put a buy order in like 3 months ago forgot about it LTC price was 15$ at the time!

So the loss on bitcoin today is recouped by a long forgotten trade that has come in very handy today!

We will probably see a drop to around $2800-$3000 before recovering, but expect a big move up after that.  If you are trading, opportunities like this are good news.  If you are HODLing, stop reading the news every day and you'll be a lot happier, healthier and richer because you wouldn't have panic sold at a loss.

What's your reasoning that it will go down to particularly 2800-3000? That's very important to know how low it will go so I can set my buy orders just right. Last time I bought at 1000 and 1500 just before the big pump turned out to be just the right time, hoping I'll get it right this time around as well.

To be honest I think we will see below 2000 in the next 2 weeks.

Just look at the way the market has reacted to one exchange being "regulated" to the point they have to close down.

Which is what is happing regulation.  In a decentral world that can only cause chaos..

Yes, you can say almost 1500 $ lost since it started to fall but don't panic that's the 1st thing you should know if you are holding bitcoin in your wallet.
And who knows it might hit 10k soon enough and i am sure it won't go below 3k

Selling would be silly, question is when to buy during these, least to say, interesting times.

Do not consider lost money due to the current depreciation of the Crypto currency. While coins are not sold, you have not lost it and you do not have any losses. It is necessary to have patience and wait. In October and November, it will not only regain its positions, but will also jump sharply.

"Fake news going on about China banning exchanges. Its all fake and No official resources confirmed this. Market is facing crash due to panic selling. Whatever happens to china exchanges, no one can stop this crypto. We have seen after every crash, there is GREEN. So prepare yourself, and BUY cheap"

Everyone keeps saying fake news, fud, bla bla bla. How fucking hard can it be to get an official statement from the exchanges and the governing authorities about this matter?

its going to be a lot harder since they are only announcing using twitter status  ;D but then the next time they announce some bitcoin drama, be the first to dump :)

$1000 is pretty huge, if you just knew this would happen, i could have dumped everything.

This is why I have had short possitions on since 2nd September.  If this keeps up my position will be fantastic. (All be it at the expense of the bitcoin price)

But we are dew another dip anyway and the media is making it much more prominent that it would of been if there had been no BTCC announcment
All things are the scenario of China and whales on the crypto market, I remember earlier this month in some tweets of Charlie or someone I cannot remember exact but they revealed "this situation will happening in next time". Of course, I ready with this FUD and ready to buy back anytime 8).

this is because there is interference from the Chinese country that seems to really affect the bitcoin prices that dropped dramatically.
I can not understand why China wants to ban ico and btc, because I think china is the most influential country in bitcoin progress especially for global market.

It is clear why China want to ban BTC and ICO. They will not permit anything in their country, which they can't control. Look at the state of Facebook and Twitter in China. They are under heavy censorship. I think that the biggest worry for the Chinese dictatorship may be that the Chinese Yuan may lose its battle against Bitcoin, because the former is getting devalued almost the every other day.

If all bitcoiners do this, those who have the capability to buy some huge amount or even just penny, then there's a big chance that the bitcoin price will back to its price back $4k+ or maybe it will increase more than the highest price recorded month ago.

Not sure because today pull back may be for a very short term. It may go down even more because again some other countries announce about tightening the regulations. So if your a very long term investor then can start buying in small quantities now. A lot of altcoins also available at very affordable prices but if BTC fall then these altcoins will go down even more.

Still there are lot of ignorant people who are selling off their coins thinking bitcoin has crashed.  So the price will still go down.  Moreover there are many people in china who holds a major share of bitcoins. Since the exchanges are closing on sep 30, they will gradually sell off all their coins. So the chances are more for the price to fall.

Most of the Chinese now bought their fresh and cheap coins at $3,000. It's now time for bitcoin to be back and sorry for those people that sold their bitcoins at dip and thought that the price can't recover anymore and this dip is going to be on a continuous progress, but no. It is alright if you lose more than 1,000 USD because that is just a paper loss and it will become a true loss if you will sell it for a lower price and accept the negative profits. If i were you, i will just hold it and wait for the come back of the price of bitcoin because in the future there will be going a huge bounce back in the price of bitcoin.
