What's meant to be a crash, because different users have difference in the thought of a crash. Some term a price drop to be a crash, whereas some indicate the price drop above certain value as a crash. It's upto us to think about crashes. In reality bitcoin is full of growth and profiting with the users who have trust over it.

When you ask a question and someone opinion out here, at least state your own opinion and reasoning. See there is a very strong possibility of a rally happening, and currently it's happening to, from 2900 to 4500$ it has escalated really quickly. China is also back in the market, and now why it could stop rallying, there a fork coming, we will only come to know in few days time what happens. So for time being enjoy the rally.

Whats your definition of crash? I expect a ton of volatility moving forward. To be more specific , i anticipate seeing drops of 20%+ fairly regularly. The catalysts for these drops will be comments or movements from governments and banking institutions that affect bitcoins future in terms of mainstream uptake. Volatility provides opportunities for traders, which will in turn add more volatility. Crazy and interesting times ahead for sure.

Of course you will not going to get rid of that thought which is the bitcoin may crash tomorrow, next week or next month we don't know of course that's why many people are panicking and selling their bitcoin. But in my experience whenever the bitcoins price crash after a week or month or so the price of bitcoin will going to recover and surpass it's last peak.

So right now i'm expecting a crash since it's been a while since the bitcoin crashed. But of course my faith in bitcoin is strong and i believe that after a crash bitcoin will recover and will stay as the top digital currency in cryptocurrency industry.

Yap, I'm expecting a crash very soon. But the major point here is the price will be quickly increasing before the fork on October 25.

It's just a normal dry-run with the chart of bitcoin, after a decrease the price will go up suddenly then.

there is no "bull run" yet to reach its point or whatever it is you have in mind. this current price that you see is just a recovery after about a month and price is coming back to the normal levels.

your mistake is that you are thinking the previous price (meaning the $2970-$3900) was normal. but it was not. it was a fake pushed-down price which needed to be corrected and it is now corrected. :)

Price of bitcoin remaining high for some time does not necessarily indicate a crash soon enough. There may be a rallying in the price for a period of time before the market crashes again. But whatever the price becomes later on, there will be panic sellers who will try to monetize the rise and cash out fiat from it or buy altcoins. However there is a chance that the price may keep on increasing till it crosses 5k again. Maybe after that the crash will occur and the same cycle will continue.

As far as i can see there no things or events of now that can crash bitcoin price the recent plunged caused by China banning ICO's has slightly damage bitcoin but it recovered after a few weeks. So i guess the price bull ran will rally after a few weeks and will dip once the next hardfork occured, people are expecting another free coin so its probably a pump and dump coin another free airdrop. This fork might be positive for BTC but who knows.

I think it will go up until fork happen and after that I expect crash.

Bitcoin crash?! No! Not in view. The only crash can be for sites that are being designed to rob people off their hard earned Bitcoin. I believe Bitcoin has come to stay and with the strength of the blockchains in its transaction processes. It is a well created digital currency with good prowess.

it doesn't matter what we expect. bitcoin IS climbing. it is even possible that we see bitcoin price breaks the ATH and goes to the $5000 range in a week from now.

if it happens, it will be because of bitcoin gold fork. because everyone knows it is the closest and it is the free airdrop that everyone agrees about. free money makes people want to invest in bitcoin more.

That was the point, They are all betting on the bitcoin fork, because they are taking the bitcoin cash an example about the resulkt of the previous fork from the bitcoin. As you can see without the china and bitcoin already made its right way. If this caused by the fork and i was speculating about another crash after the bitcoin fork will have done. But this article will give you a lot of explanation regarding the bitcoin segwit 2x hardfork and its advantages and disadvantages.

I ofcourse have both feelings deep within, feeling of crash and of rise as well, but i just don't want to be negative at all, so i don't expect that bitcoin's price will crash again very soon. Currently, bitcoin is in a good position, not leaving its pace, constantly growing with a very small speed but it is acceptable, as long as it is not going down. So i just expect it to go higher and cross $5k mark before the end of this year, and maybe we will see it touching $6k in the first few months of 2018, which will be icing on the cake.

It is very hard to break that level of resistance at 5k USD., So I unless we see that resistance point broken there, the test of support at 4k will always be there I expect until we can reach a new floor beyond the 5k usd mark. Time will tell when BTC will rally again and when it will retrace heavily. I doubt for a long time BTC will crash but it will have violent swings and a retracement after a fast rally is inevitable.

if your mean correction price then i will say yes because after reaching the highest price, the price will be down for a while and no one know until how much the price is down. will it crashed soon or its down for a small price but the one thing we know that the trend now is up so i think that we can withdraw if we want.

No one of us here want the bitcoin to crash, right? But we cannot really handle the situation. So me, I always think and expect that bitcoin will climb up. I am a positive person so even last time that bitcoin price goes down I always keep in my mind that it will not fail on climbing up and then it happened. It is what I always read here in the forum and in my conducted research before when I am just starting in bitcoin, "that it will rise again after it fell down". Bitcoin change in prices as same as anything in the market have factors. We can not say what can come up each day that my cause rise or fall of prices. There will always be good news and frauds. Charts are helpful.Reading charts will make you learn something. This may give you hints in the movement of prices.

There is no way I can expect a crash in bitcoin it may just involve the normal fluctuation in the price. As usual people will nurse some fear about bitcoin price because of the fork but I know it will not affect the price.

After lots of speculation and lots of attack like ico ban in china shutting down bitcoin exchanges in china and ICO regulation in korea everything doesnt made any difference . Now bitcoin again starting its bull run may be it will  cross 6K or it might 10K in couple of months.

That's true but maybe he is referring to the technical side of the digital coin. Since it is a program, maybe it will crash unexpectedly or encounter a fatal error that would result to data loss or whatsoever. But i don't think that to happen because Bitcoin is designed to survive even numerous forks and that would even solidify its position in the market while its value keeps on rising.

I think we're going to experience a crash. I'm not sure how big of a crash, but looking back at the previous fork (Bitcoin Cash) the price crashed a lot. I don't think we'll experience a crash when the fork since a lot of people now are accumulating as much Bitcoin as possible. However, I do think one might occur a few days afterwards, then I think the price will stabilize.

After a mini crash like we had, after fud was circulated that Bitcoin was banned or was going to be banned in China, there

will always be a correction. I think this is what we seeing now, people saw that the news was just Fud and they started to buy

again. I think a lot of people are also buying to be prepared for the next possible fork. {You get more Free coins, if you own

The Bitcoins and the crypto are flactuating rising and dropping. So even though I do not expect it will happen. But it's strange because every beat is high enough to raise the bitcoins. And when fallen, bitcoins are even higher. If it falls today at a price of $ 4,000 now it will increase by $ 5,000 as it happens that there will be panic selling there with big whales entering to buy cheap amount of bitcoins. And leave the sellers to buy them again at high prices.

I think this would be the last bitcoin bull run for this year. Checkout the BTC weekly charts at tradingview.com. Bitcoin is already at the zeal of its cup and handle pattern, it might explode very soon. But I wish bitcoin would hit 6k or 7k first before it go down to complete the long bearish pattern. It might hit 2k again.

bitcoin Crash? it always happen, and it always climbing after dips, the real question is how far can go to dips and how much will it gain strength upwards that is always depend on the bitcoin users usage and the users bitcoin Trust.

I expect to see Bitcoin price rise till the October fork. Most people will be holding and buying Bitcoin before the fork.

After the fork, it might slightly dip and then continue to rise. But it will depend on how the fork goes.

BTC is steadily going up and going strong as well. Personally I don't think it will crash at least for a while more? Dip definitely but crash may not be so soon. However crypto is very volatile and any bad news can just crash the market anytime. BTC is high, alts are weak. Consider buying more alts or can cash out some profits for now?

I think the crash that bitcoin had when China banned all the ICO's was enough for this period. Because the fork is close people will buy as many bitcoin as they can hoping for the price to increase after the fork. So I think that until the fork the price will be stable or go up a little. Only after the fork we can really see what is going to happen

I agree with you. there is some concern about what will happen now after this 25th. I believe bitcoin will always survive and can increase the value of the price to 2x. yes the future bitcoin be regarded very bright.

It is going up so quickly, it is $4900 right now, i am not expecting a crash, but it might drop a lot in some time, maybe it will take weeks or days, but i dont know, we are so close to the new hardfork, and the chances to go down again are so little. But nobody knows yet, we can expect everything from this weird market, we will see soon.

This fork or hard fork things are causing generally crashes in the market. Avoding this is very hard. Bitcoin can climb more, but I'm sure there will be another major crash at the end of this month.

No way, I don't think bitcoin is coming down anytime soon because people are buying it more than ever for the next coming chain split.
After the November's hard ford - people will get free Bitcoin Gold BTG based on number of their own bitcoins save in their wallets.

The upcoming fork may prove some challenges and Bitcoin's price may fall some because of it, but I think longer term the price will keep going up. It may drop down to near $3,000 again during or after the fork, but I think by next year it should be back to $5,000 and maybe even start to push $6,000.

As of now, there are no signs of bitcoin going down, though without china and some exchanges are being closed, bitcoin still proves to be the dominant force in cryptocurrency. I think a major event like a world war, may bring the price of bitcoin down, since all will be affected or it may be halted, it depends on what will happen if ever it may happen. Bitcoin is also showing strength as  of late, i think that is because of the upcoming forks and bitcoin gold, still we need to be careful, since the last time bitcoin fad a ver nice bull run, chia decided to ban bitcoin, and noe russia is showing some signs, but hopefully they will find a way on how to handle theirs and not judt let go of bitcoin.

At this day the value of bitcoin is same as this last week, so i think there's no sign of falling down og the value of the bitcoin even other country banned bitcoin,it still standing it value.i think the price of bitcoin soom its keep climbing because now is the time of christmas and i think this is it.

Before hard fork we can see if it sfill continues to climb, we can see that everyone is buying btc to have some BTC gold on hard fork. And it's a good sign that byc can still pump even the bannings of other counties.

I can see that bitcoin keep climbing until 15 October ! Afterward we can see down trend especially when bitcoin will reach another segwit process !

Honestly I don't see a crash happening soon with Bitcoin just recently passing the 4000$ level and staying up at 4700$ it won't be normal if it did not stay in that price for too long, what I mean about that is if started going down now we will see that Bitcoin is just being played for profit meaning it is just now being manipulated by big holders in order for them to sell it at a higher price. Making a selling pressure this soon will only deflate the confidence of buyers when the price of Bitcoin falls again shortly.

i see that bitcoin will keep climbing at the end of this year, since there are no signs of bitcoin going to to fall, however if we look back, the moment bitcoin has a bull run, sooner or later, bitcoin will take a slight dip, i think we need to be cautious at times, though none of us wanted bitcoin to drop, we still need to make a plan. there are news that russia is planning to ban bitcoins, however this are still considered hearsay unless proven otherwise, since this seems to be a trend, whenever bitcoin is bouncing back, someone is always making up fake news and never validates, for as we know, russia has been trying to think up of ways on how they can regulate cryptocurrencies and i think they need to ask help from japan, and if they think that bitcoin is being used for crimes, so is their fiat, so one thing is for sure here, russia doesn't want criminals to use bitcoins and hopefully putin has found out a way on how he can regulate the use of bitcoins against criminals in their country. in general, bitcoin's price is still going to up even with some negativity around.

I do not see that bicoin will going to crash this coming days because it is retriving from its lost this past few weeks ago due to China issue, but then bitcoin will no longer crash again unless big event will happen to the soonest, but still bitcoin will goin to soar high and climb so high to rach another peak, and investors are coming back. It looks like non-totalitarian governments are ready to accept Bitcoin, so I don't foresee any resistance anytime soon. Not even a Russia ban could cause as huge a dip as China did, since they're a much smaller market.

Investors aim for round numbers. We're already seeing small sell offs. If people simply held it the price would go much higher. Right now everyone hoping to sell high are keeping it from going over 5000. it's pretty intense. That's why it took so long to get out of the $4500 territory the past few weeks.

not at all, cause there are some news about bitcoin fork that will produce bitcoin gold, the price will be higher till the day come. and also, the communities of bitcoin keep growing, so the price will increase every year.

I do not know which one I'm expecting at the moment, an accident or hoping to continue climbing. because even though I expect bitcoin to crash I can not do anything because I do not have the capital to buy bitcoin. so maybe for now I will just see it and accept everything that will happen.

You know that bitcoin is always dependent of our economic condition .Now a days in news and in our social media is discussing about the issue between the United States of America and North Korea .And the president of America  announced that they are ready for the war........!with North Korea.And i am afraid that a war can destroy our entire economy . Bitcoin can't climbing as fast as other altcoin because it has massive marketcap compared to any other altcoins, even the dominance of bitcoin is about 49% compared to all altcoins ever existed merged.
it does make sense if the bitcoin price increase could just go slowly and steady, if the price just changing too fast within a matter of few hours, it's then probably manipulated.

There will be a slight dip in price that may occur during and after the hard fork. But then after that the price would surely increase and spike up even after the split. Why? Because there will be a demand for bitcoin which will be caused by people converting bitcoin gold to bitcoin.

Ive been seing a lot of Russia banning bitcoin exchange website news yet bitcoin price is stable at 4700-4800$, also the upcoming fork is on 25th the more closer we are on the 25th the more higher bitcoin could go.

Way to many things happening in the space. All this fork thing whic is too techincal for me and i dont understand , the bad news coming from russia saying they will ban crypto. I guess we just have to hold on tight to the boat and hope it ends well.

No aspect is seen to find a crash in bitcoin price.The only threat by which even the FUD spreaders tried to manipulate bitcoin price,china's reaction against bitcoin, has been proved to be totally wrong.Also,bitcoin gold does not have enough miner support and so it could also not be a threat to bitcoin.The only thing,we should consider about is the activation of segwit 2x which is supported by most of miners.If bitcoin successfully survives after that,then surely bitcoin price would go to the moon.And for the rest of the year,bitcoin price would move in bullish trend.

Death is not possible as long as there are users. The exchanges and continuity of its usage will define its value.
Forks, FUD, banning and other factors that influences bitcoin can only cause dips and  certainly not zero value for bitcoins.

It depends on what is the definition of crash for you. Mostly, when btc value dip especially dipping in a span of one week, they consider this as a crash. But for me, I don't mind that because it's just normal and actually good for crypto traders as long as it will not continue to go down when dipping happens. Which also impossible to happen, because whatever happens, btc value will still climb after a dip and will take more values.

Not crash but ya their will be profit booking so their will be little bit selling pressure so we can go back some 400$ down but after that we will be back with 5k crossing it.

The drop in the price of bitcoin can only happen in November. Until then the price will rise. Depending on what the price will be until the end of this month so will fall. I think that the price this year will be about $ 5,000. By the end of this month it can go up to $ 6000. Then come back to around $ 5,000.

It's hard to say, right now bitcoin seems pretty stable to me, despite all the negative it has been facing. After the price crash regarding bcash we recovered to ath, then came China, South Korea and Dimon, and we have recovered again and seem to be doing pretty well. Now we are facing two hard forks in less than a month and the news of another ban, now coming from Russia. Right now, everything looks good, so bitcoin seems to be becoming stronger to these so called bad news, that proves right now is saying bitcoin can't really be stopped. I'm confident right now, let's how this all goes.

Bitcoin will keep climbing because the fork seems like a hype and that is because they are going to receive bitcoin gold if they have a lot of bitcoin in their wallet so the people right now are panic buying because of the potential of bitcoin gold and if the price of bitcoin is high then they will just sell their bitcoin gold and they will get a free money from that and that can be a thousand of dollars or more.

Every user doesn't have this mentality. People fear when the price crash happens. Same leads to panic selling, but very few users as the one above give importance for buying more bitcoin using the dip as an opportunity to invest. Ico ban has never been a big issue, because even China the major core developer has sought the issues that got arose on ico regulations.

My opinion is that Bitcoin will slowley rise even more.. This price is still to low to crash so soon.

I think it'll keep going up for a little while now, then it will crash again. It keeps establishing new floors though, it was 1k, then 2k, recently 3k...bit of a pattern after each crash?

But dude dont expect and you will never be disappointed. We dont know what would be the future of bitcoin but i am wishing that bitcoin will climb. Just be positive always that bitcoin will increase.

There are alot of people who has different ideas or look to the word "crash", to me,  when there is a reduction in the current price of bitcoin, it means in a week time it will shoot up higher than the previous price. While traders sees it as a time to buy and wait for profits.

There will be no bitcoin crash in the next half a decade at least. There may be several number of SegWit and SegWit2x along the way in lieu of a crash. Crash sounds very serious and even fatal to me. I am certain that the core, the miners, the investors and traders, and all of us will never ever allow that to happen. We will support Bitcoin always.

IMO I feel that BTC will continue to rise until the hard fork, so people can collect their free BGold. The price of alt coming up to this point will fall as people dump alt to purchase BTC. Then, once the fork happens and people dump their BGold, the price of BTC will deflate and the price of alt will skyrocket as people will use their free money from BGold to purchase cheap alt.

This will happen again with the segwit 2x fork in November. Rinse, repeat everytime their is a BTC fork.

Not quite sure, we do have these forks coming up so maybe we will see a big decrease once people get their bitcoingold and then put their bitcoin back to alts, then we might see the similar happen with the November happenings.

It could however also keep on climbing right up to $10k by the end of the year which I saw some CNBC dude was spouting, who knows but as long as we don't see a crazy dive down to 3 or 4k then I think I'll be happy.

I am not sure ,because now a days our social media and news channels are discussing a lot about the fighting of the United States of America and North Korea.Now there is a chance to lead this fight in to a war.Resend days  president of USA announced that if the North Korea is pulling this issue in to war then they are also ready for that.Bitcoin is fully based on the eco-system of the world .This war has the power to destroy our economy .So i am afraid about it. :-[ :-\

I believe that bitcoin will grow up. The panic has already passed and I do not think there can be a big price reduction. On the contrary, now more and more are joining the bitcoin.

Bitcoin will keep climbing even more after the fork and i believe we are going to set a new ath this month. This fork is the only things that hindered bitcoin from flying this month.

A crash is not new in the field of bitcoin. But trust me it will hit high and and continue in climbing up. Many are afraid of a crash for a few days and sell their assets quickly but they don't understand that it will continue to grow more.

Obviously Bitcoin will soar up high and comes crashing down after the fork giving way to altcoins to stable the prices of their coins then Bitcoin will try to regain back just before December.

What do you mean crash soon? If you are talking about bitcoin gold and on its releasing in October then it are not a crash I think this will be a new form of bitcoin and where people will see advance development of bitcoin and according to me this will be climbing and growth of bitcoin in this year.

I expect it too keep climbing and i also think that it will reach a level of maybe $10k. There also won't be a crash for long because bitcoin keeps getting improved and a lot of wallers are secure for hackers.

I do not see any reason to expect any breakdown of bitcoins. He now feels pretty good and does not plan to fall. Yesterday, not for a short time, even exceeded the mark of 5,000 dollars and soon, I hope, overcome it forever and will grow further.

In my opinion, the price of bitcoin may rise a little, but sooner or later there will be a correction : traders will sell to take profits. If there's no bad news/rumors/FUD in the background, correction will be small and price will rise again.
However, if news interfere, it can be the cause of a bigger correction, like the one we got in September after China's policy about cryptocurrencies.

Bitcoin has been in a bull market since the $152 low on Bitstamp back in January 2015. That was the turning point. Ever since then bitcoin price has respected the weekly 20 MA. Everyone who bought when price bounced off the 20 MA is in profit. Right now weekly 20 MA is $3427. It is entirely possible price could drop to $3427 and the bull market remain intact. You can see the Fibonacci extensions predicted $4400. Price hit a wall at $5000 but if $5000 is taken out Fibonacci predicts next stop is $7079.

The last few days I was closely watching bitcoin. There were many attempts to take 5 thousand. I doubt very much that this time the price of bitcoin will fall as much. In the end, they will strike 5,000, and then go straight for 6-7 thousand.

Crashes can always occur when unexpected things happen(see China ICO ban last month for example). Use sharp corrections or crashes as an opportunity to buy morecoins at a cheaper price and wait for the price to stabilize and you will make a nice profit.

The price is probably imminent to receive corrections. It has been climbing the past few days and it's not far from reaching a new all-time high, if it continues that way. Bitcoin is behaving in a very strange way since the start of this year. When we started the year, the price started going up and it looks like it might not come down at all. Now that it is trending over the $5,000 mark, I am not sure what will happen next. My fear is that it might be prone to manipulation by big players which might lead to it crushing.

It depends on the meaning of 'crash'. I am happy to see the current rise, but such fast and continuous increase is definitely unsustainable in the long term. A correction is inevitable (although the maximum before it is unpredictable), but I do not see it as a 'crash'. I think it is going to be similar to what we've seen in July and in September. Sharp rise, then fall, say, to 2/3 or 3/4 of the maximum, then stabilization or maybe the next rise.

I think realistically the price has risen too sharply and a correction is definitely inevitable, however bitcoin could reach 6k by then and be correcting back to around the price it currently is at.

Nobody can say exactly what will happen to bitcoin, but I'm sure that it will grow very well and please its owners. Although in November there may be a slight drop in the price.

Crashing and selling for profit taking are actually two different things! I must say that at this stage and exposure of Bitcoin, we should no longer be harping on crash and dump, because those no longer hold sway with Bitcoin. Price has gone down today in compare to yesterday and tomorrow it may even go back to 5000 usd level but that dip will only be temporary and if fork brings positive results for us then it will start climbing up once again after that so the best thing right now would be to sit quiet and see how price behaves in coming days as buying or selling at this stage can be really risky.

It depends on how you define "crash".  To me a crash means the value drops basically to zero... a major catastrophe happening.  Like the CEO of a company being indicted on some type of major charge... like defrauding their own company.  I see the price dropping a good bit in the upcoming weeks.  But that's not a crash in my books.  Especially since it will afterward rise to new heights eventually, surpassing the 6K barrier it struggled to get past this time around just as it did the 5K barrier.  But not before some growing pains.

No, I don't expect crash. Under term crash I see major price dump and this is not what I expect. Some price dump could happen after the fork but I would call that correction because I don't expect to be big or to last very long. At this period the Bitcoin could climb up to 6500$ or 7000$ and then correct a bit which could once again cause the panic selling that we have witnesses many times so far. But by the end of the year if the dump after fork happened we will be on the way up again.

No fud or scaling worries? I think it's fair to say that with the upcoming SegWit2x hard fork in November, we'll get exactly that. The BTG fork that you are talking about is an utter insignificant event that will lead to absolutely nothing. The only way I could see the BTG fork play a certain role, is because delusional people are buying themselves more coins to obtain more BTG afterwards. I however don't see this practice having any significant impact on the price, if it has any impact at all.

I agree to sir that we may have different meaning of crash. With a small drop of price, I think it is just Bitcoin and its volatility playing around. But with a massive crash of Bitcoin becoming it's value 5 years ago, something must have gone really wrong then. One possible problem that may bring that big crash is a financial crisis. This is because all market will really be affected and Bitcoin is very sensitive in price. The travel won't be upwards all the time though, there will be corrections. Some traders will wish to take profit somewhere between now and 10 k$ (which is a mid-term realistic goal). We won't reach 100 k$ so fast.

I'm expecting both things, there will be more price climbing in the upcoming before the hard fork  but before we are heading there. I think bitcoin will continue to go up. Btc was really meant to go up in the previous month but because China and James Dimon was there to block it and spread fud. Now, it's more stronger and I doubt it will crash because only a major event can affect bitcoin which has already happened in the past.

Correction is just the best word to use for it as you have said. A crash is a very huge difference in price which is not something we can be seeing much of anymore. Even if it does, huge support is always on ground to swallow it up at the best chance possible.

Highs will come, there would be corrections along the line and then maybe later on, we see some other crazy bullish trend and then the trend continues. huge gaps in price are usually caused by unnecessary FUDs as a result of weaker hands which for now is really reducing.

What events are you referring  to, that are capable of causing a crash in the price of Bitcoin? I am seeing profit taking as only formidable out there to upset Bitcoin climb. Unlike the situation before Bitcoin cash split, people were apprehensive and FUD could be felt, but this time, the case with BTG, is that most people are relaxed and think it would also go the way of the ones before it with its tail in between its legs!

I expect an ordinary pump and dump as bitcoin struggles to go higher. It's like it gets to $5500 just to drop to $4800 to go $5500 again in few days and drop again to $5000-something. It looks like people really want it to raise, but it's just not ready yet. But thanks to such fluctuations around this $5000 it's easy to make some small profits with buying when it drops and selling when it tries again to go higher. Also after the fork, there has to be some significant dump to $4000/$3600 as people will get rid of excess bitcoins that they want to get now in order to get these free fork coins, and then after the dump a rapid growth again, I guess.

Indeed price may go low but on a long term trade $5400 is still a small price for bitcoin. Forks are just around the corner once the 25th is successful demand for the coin will go high because of the November fork.

Since we broke above the China crash level at $4500, and especially since we broke to new highs above $5k very decisively, a crash does not seem to be in the cards in the near future without some kind of catastrophic news event, like bitcoin being banned in a major country.  I think we could easily see a retracement back to $5k to give that level a good vetting, but more than that does not seem likely right now.  I think that the segwit2x fork still has the potential to cause some major market gyrations, but I think we're still too far out from that to see much of an effect yet.

Yes, that's inevitable.  But there's more to it than that too, and we're already beginning to see the signs.  I've already mentioned the factors several times in here so I'll spare you all the broken record routine.  I also believe it is a tad overvalued at this point as well.  

But a "crash"?... I've already mentioned also that I don't take that word lightly.  To me it implies a MAJOR slide, and that I do not see.  I initially didn't see it falling further than 4400-4700, but now I believe it "could" be a bit more because I think there are more people moving their money around now instead of holding through thick & thin like they used to.  Mostly the ones that got in late and see this as their only way of striking it rich in the end like the people that got in early will... the ones that can afford to hold and come out big winners in the end.

I feel fortunate to have gotten in when the price was around 1100.  I took notice when it was at 900 and saw it rising steadily.  When I looked the very next day and saw it at 1100 I got in.  Even still, I move around roughly 70% of my BTC and hold about 30%.  And I've made exponentially more from the money I move.  If you are well informed, do your homework and take the right advice... learn which sources to trust and not to trust based on their track records of accuracy, you can do it too.

Bitcoin is not going to crash, at worst we are going to see a correction of the price and nothing more, people are too optimistic about bitcoin at the moment for a crash to happen the forks that were supposed to weaken bitcoin are in fact making it stronger so no crash is going to happen.

We are know that there is another fork on November and i think after the fork on 25th october the price will going down a bit and stable until november early and then start increase again until another fork on November. For me this is the real fork one, on november.

Well, as for me, I don't expect any serious price decline in Bitcoin market value because even in the mixt of hard Fork  the decline was not that felt reason been that there was no panic sell before the event. I expect Bitcoin value to reach $7000 before end of November.

I don't get a thinking of falling bitcoin values. Because what's happening now is bitcoin getting higher uphill. Fantastic value continues to happen in bitcoin. As if want to continue towards $10K in Q1 2018.

It may really happen,since bitcoin gains more popularity every now and then, i was amazed how the price moving upward that it makes me decide to hold more bitcoin as much as possible.

Before the annoucement about hard fork on 25th October, we all know this fork is useless for the Bitcoin system. It just created for a group devs want to have an option mining Bitcoin with GPU hardware instead of ASIC mining like Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash. Of course, there are a little of miners accept that but you can see not much miners support this coin.

Keeping multiple bitcoins is good, but it also comes at the risk of losing money if the bitcoin goes down suddenly. bitcoin always has risks, it is not yet officially recognized currency, so be careful.

Isn't it obvious? There are so many predictors shouting at you that market is going to crash.

But then what might avoid such a catastrophic circumstance is that there is a proper fork coming up this November and unlike the bitcoin gold shitfork,its more legit. So if the markets can go so high for a shitfreecoin,the price can go way more higher than that.

One thing I noticed is that non day-traders who have invested in altcoins are so scared because of the fact that alts have been on the down rail for like 2-4 weeks and they think if this continues to go on,alts will lose its appeal. But then such a situation will never be forced to arise,the markets will go back to normal after the Segwit2X I believe.

According to me, I'm not expect bitcoin price will be crashed, I think it will stay above $5000 so on and still can trying climbing up little by little towards the higher direction I guess. And I'm sure there will still be many people who are interested to invest in bitcoin, there are still many people who buying bitcoin, and certainly bitcoin price will not be crushed or down.

Bitcoin price will not be crash, I am seeing more than 7000$ soon. I think it will reach end of this year, because there are still more support in bitcoin. Thus, bitcoin will not crash anytime.

It's hard to imagine bitcoin could crash from its value now. Because, requires huge money to do it. Increasing side is more possible and looks easy for bitcoin, because dominant market moves up.

Some define the price fall as a crash, some the deep falls and so on. On the crash happens and gets recovered in a small time period.

No. I don’t expect Bitcoin to crash. Not soon anyway. Bitcoin just rose like $500 US dollar. It seems like a nice bullish trend to me. I expect this trend to continue until the hard-fork. After the hard-fork, I am not exactly sure as to what will happen. It may rise like it did in the pervious hard-fork or it may drop. But you can be pretty much guaranteed that the period of time shortly proceeding the hard fork will be a time of price instability. I think that this period would be a great time to make some lovely Bitcoin via trading. And I think this hard fork will be a major milestone of Bitcoin. 

As everyone expected after having a fork there will be a dump of bitcoin and it is usually happen at all times. But today's fork, it makes bitcoin price goes wildly and surprise everyone of having a huge pump. I'm not worried of crashing bitcoin someday because it only a little percentage of happening like that. Many are believing bitcoin and keeping this alive.

I don't foresee there to be a crash because bitcoin seems to be stable despite the constant price change. Even with the upcoming forks and numerous FUDs, bitcoin continues to rise so I don't see any reason for it to collapse. Yes, the users have been continuously supporting bitcoin and this contributes to bitcoin's strength and resiliency - and is able to withstand the struggles it goes through. No one has been dumping so there won't be a crash or collapse. Instead, it will just continue to rise.

The price is not only not crashing but increasing once again it seems there is nothing that can stop bitcoin now, governments tried with FUD and now they are trying with forks and nothing seems to work, I think we are in the verge of getting world wide adoption.

Neither I, I'm expecting a correction but not with a crash. And now the price kicked to $6,600 another all time high has been reached and this looks good.

I'm thinking on what will be the next FUD that will be getting out on the mainstream media and will eventually published to news crypto websites after getting paid by those shills. Waiting for those people that spread fake information about bitcoin and will eat their words about being told that bitcoin is dead (etc. and other FUDs).

A crash needs to be very big in order to be classified as a crash, bitcoin can lose up to 20% in a single day and no one will call that a crash because that is the way bitcoin moves, so bitcoin will need to crash 50% or more in just a few days for most people to think that is a crash.

Yes, if we have to deteemine the actual crash of bitcoin we must experience bigger drop. Unlike thus fluctuations that might appear so obvious in every changes of its value. Well in my personal insights I am positive that bitcoin is going to climb up and will have a huge value in the future. Hopefully we can survive the fork and after that challenge there will be a better future of bitcoin specially the start of the year 2018.

The fact is that last year the transfer of hard forks was very famous because it affected the growth of the price for Bitcoin. But because of the fact that the coin fell today below the baseboard, I do not know and I very much doubt that another hard fork will play a good role in this case ..
