Crash means a major or critical dip which can cause death of a curreny. I think you mean a dip, yes we can expect a dip but not sure, at first i was expecting that the price will increase after fork but soon i realized that the price is pretty much high now before fork so it is possible that after fork the whales will try to cash out from the market and there could be a fall of price. BTW this is just a prediction and as we know that bitcoin is unpredictable.

every hardfork allows bitcoin to crash, but now many users do not care and expect Bitcoingold for free, they keep collecting it, even including me. Bitcoin is unpredictable but can be analyzed because the system is very transparent. bitcoin has the potential to continue to improve and increase.

I'm expecting it to climb more as you can see we've been through many hardfork and we see that we're just losing our chances to get more income if we do panic selling right ? so as I can see on the current price progress I see that the demand of bitcoin is rising too that's why bitcoin price will keep climbing.

I think realistically the price has risen too sharply and a correction is definitely inevitable, however bitcoin could reach 6k by then and be correcting back to around the price it currently is at.

Yes I agree with you bitcoin is going high day by day and know there is no chance for drop down or going back because bitcoin make a strong place in market and it attract countries toward itself and also a huge number of investors and trader they are joining bitcoin so I think bitcoin is now stable and much more stronger than ever.

I'm expecting a price change by October 25 since bitcoin gold will be on the market. The price would just be corrected anyway and reach $6000 by November. I don't see any potential crashes all I can say is bitcoin will keep on climbing up.

I think the bitcoin will climb up continuously until the fork of October 25 after that maybe a little decrease in the value but not that much. Like you said the price at the end of fork maybe $6000 or even more. But the price will continue to rise constantly after the least decrease and it will recover soon then continue to rise in my point of view.

From experience, Bitcoin gold airdrop potends free money and we all want some, so we ain't seen the peak price of Bitcoin before the hard fork yet as the demand for it looks good to be on the increase and probably stall around 24th. Beyond the hard fork, the funds might start finding their ways back from where they had come from and that's when to expect a correction in price and then more rallying, we're headed for the moon after all!

I think a crash is inevitable given how much BTC has risen in a short period. But maybe a crash isn't the right terminology, more of a correction to around the $5k mark.

But this is not the first time bitcoin has risen in this kind of a fashion, and let's not forget bitcoin was at approximately $4800 before it dropped to as low as ~$3500 and now it's risen has high as $5600...I don't mind seeing it climb. I agree the crash terminology is extreme, maybe suitable word would be a dip

As the above user mentioned, it's not that very first time the price has been growing in such a manner. This is quite a common thing with the digital currency to grow tremendously. Maybe this can be considered as an early growth for the upcoming fork, because users doesn't have any solid reason to describe that the price increase is because of some particular event.

Don't expect too much because too much expectations sometimes cause of getting hurt and disappointment. Failures and success are always behind of having a business so we have to be strong to face enough the different obstacles to be encounter. Every day is a new page with new adventures and tales of good deeds to tell and also lessons to learn. Let's be part of it.

the next fork will be same as it was on bitcoin cash i think may the kurs goes a bit down but then fast up

Price has gone down today in compare to yesterday and tomorrow it may even go back to 5000 usd level but that dip will only be temporary and if fork brings positive results for us then it will start climbing up once again after that so the best thing right now would be to sit quiet and see how price behaves in coming days as buying or selling at this stage can be really risky.

It depends on how you define "crash".  To me a crash means the value drops basically to zero... a major catastrophe happening.  Like the CEO of a company being indicted on some type of major charge... like defrauding their own company.  I see the price dropping a good bit in the upcoming weeks.  But that's not a crash in my books.  Especially since it will afterward rise to new heights eventually, surpassing the 6K barrier it struggled to get past this time around just as it did the 5K barrier.  But not before some growing pains.

No, I don't expect crash. Under term crash I see major price dump and this is not what I expect. Some price dump could happen after the fork but I would call that correction because I don't expect to be big or to last very long. At this period the Bitcoin could climb up to 6500$ or 7000$ and then correct a bit which could once again cause the panic selling that we have witnesses many times so far. But by the end of the year if the dump after fork happened we will be on the way up again.

No fud or scaling worries? I think it's fair to say that with the upcoming SegWit2x hard fork in November, we'll get exactly that. The BTG fork that you are talking about is an utter insignificant event that will lead to absolutely nothing. The only way I could see the BTG fork play a certain role, is because delusional people are buying themselves more coins to obtain more BTG afterwards. I however don't see this practice having any significant impact on the price, if it has any impact at all.

Bitcoin price have touched $5700 and if some more supports comes then we can see $6000 price in this october month before Hardfork itself. So we dont need to wait till the end of the year to see $6k price.

At present, most countries have either legalized bitcoin and other altcoins have not put a ban on any activities involving cryptocurrency, besides illegal ones. However, the situation is only slightly different because it is possible that we might be part of a cryptocurrency bubble, and when that bubble burst, the price will fall as quickly as the droplets of any bubble take to the ground. But this outcome may not bother some of community members who see either path as a tradeoff. Only time could tell if bitcoin really climb or not.

What's meant to be a crash, because different users have difference in the thought of a crash. Some term a price drop to be a crash, whereas some indicate the price drop above certain value as a crash. It's upto us to think about crashes. In reality bitcoin is full of growth and profiting with the users who have trust over it.

I agree to sir that we may have different meaning of crash. With a small drop of price, I think it is just Bitcoin and its volatility playing around. But with a massive crash of Bitcoin becoming it's value 5 years ago, something must have gone really wrong then. One possible problem that may bring that big crash is a financial crisis. This is because all market will really be affected and Bitcoin is very sensitive in price. Majority might sell their Bitcoins in this crisis which may drag the Bitcoin price into it's low price like it was years ago.

The travel won't be upwards all the time though, there will be corrections. Some traders will wish to take profit somewhere between now and 10 k$ (which is a mid-term realistic goal). We won't reach 100 k$ so fast.
