When the alts will up....? almost these are sleeping..? i spent around 12000$ on Alt coins like DGB,SIA,Statis,LTC,Bitshares,ripple.
now my account balance is 7000USD... i am in tense like it will come up or not...?

experts please give me a suggestions..PLS

in this case, you should be optimistic altcoin will be grow up in the future. to solve your problem, You must be being trading to collect more coins and Holder waiting for  altcoin grow up

For a while altcoins prices are falling. I think it's due to forks. Bitcoin Cash, then Bitcoin Gold and now Bitcoin Segwit2x. These forks have caused people to interest in investing Bitcoins and sell their altcoin. Soon after Bitcoin Segwit2x fork, everything will go back to its normal. Altcoins will rise in price again.

It is a good question. There are so many people that can pay 1 million usd for right answer of this question  :D

Once people become bored of Bitcoin and all the profits flow back to Altcoins, so most likely after all this forking is over.

I hope some of alts could go back to price of September, but half of them will die and rest in peace. Don't invest in alts more then you invest in BTC, and this will save your investments in any way.

If you buy a big altcoin then I recommend keeping them when the hard fork passes when all the bitcoin resources will go through altcoin, they will be worth the price I think you should wait 1-2 weeks When bitcoin drops then make a decision. But I think they will come back after a bitcoin rise too high like this

Just wait until the bitcoin fork is over, around November 15th. After the fork, the poeple who have the old bitcoins and newly generated bitcoin segwit 2x will spend them on altcoins, thus increasing the demand of other altcoins, and you should be back to 12,000 dollars.

I think the altcoins will rise up very soon. We entered the disbelief phase and the people think that altcoins will never come back, best setup for a new bullseason :)

Lots of people have sold alts for bitcoin because they want their "free coins" after the fork.

The fork is on Nov 16th, so I guess alts will start rising again after that point. (Though some smart money may get into the alts before that, especially if they reason the value of the free coins is less than the value of getting some alts cheap before a massive pump)

I am not an expert in trading but I can share to you my thoughts on whats happening now with altcoins and its pretty simple. If you jave alts now, you can go ahead and continue to hold, this blood bath is just temporary and this is because of segwit. If you plan to sell, its up to you, but if I am in your shoes, I would rather wait until segwit is over, alts will recover.

Depending on, let's look from factor to factor, altcoin prices will go up when bitcoin down because we know there will be hardfork again in the future and of course people want to get it is not it? so people will sell altcoin and swap it with btc, after that usually the price of altcoin will gradually recover. Here is my advice: dump all of your alts for bitcoin (BTC) before November, acquire all of the subsequent forked coins off bitcoin and sell them as soon as possible. Hold on your bitcoin and don't enter any alts unless you see a bargain.

Im pretty certain we are going to keep hitting new all time highs through 2018 as the segwit2x threat losses all possibility of ever overtaking the real bitcoin, and you must be ready, in other words, holding your coins and getting all of your coins out of any exchanges. We may see more forks during 2018 that you can profit from as a bitcoin holder. It's the only coin that others want to fork so you get "dividends".

It depends on what exact alts you're holding right now.  With each single altcoin name you will need to decide.

Altcoin is not the same as bitcoin that the price is keep increasing but there is potencial can be happen in altcoin in the future if the developers are really active and supported by other investors and trader..
remember what happen to litecoin before the price is really cheap but right now the price of litecoin is really huge..
And i think better to wait for the fork coming to end after that expect the price of bitcoin will fall and expect some altcoin are getting price increase because there are some traders are choosing stable price to convert their bitcoin into altcoin while the price of bitcoin is high..
So better to wait until november 16 if you didn't see any changes you lose..
And i think you should also do trading if there are some altcoin you are holding are moving up or dump you are getting profit with it for buying low and sell high..

the alt will go up when bitcoin will go down, what happen always here is, bitcoin get pumped, people dump their altcoin to have more bitcoin they dump then, their bitcoin to buy back when it's cheaper, then when bitcoin is dumped and they bought back cheaper bitcoin, with those they buy back again all the altcoin they dumped early, lol it's the pump and dump scheme

I think you are still very lucky that the Altcoins you are holding not came that much down because many Altcoins at this time are at All Time Low. According to my analyzation after the bitcoin segwit2x on 16th November Altcoins will start to grow slowly. If any other news not come related to bitcoin after that I am sure altcoins will go up.

Technically imo right answer to your q is when people would buy more of some altcoin(s) rather than sell it(them).
But how to define the overall volume of buy & sell for some altcoin? Analyzing of the blockchain probably it's possible to find out all addresses for most exchanges, and then calculate all buy/sell transactions. Has anybody tried such analysis?

No one can answer this question perfectly. You are asking us to guarantee something which is very rare in the crypto world. Did you even do your research before investing into those coins? If you are confident about your investments, then stop worrying too much and just forget about them for a long time and HODL those coins for the long term. This is a pressure free way of maintaining your investments without thinking too much about them.

If you are bagging altcoins, wait until the dust clears from this bullrun of btc and stuff. You need to realize that btc is the main monetary instrument you are trading your alts against. You will have to remain patient and hodl. Be easy my dude/

If anyone could really have answered that, we might not have seen this drop in altcoin market. Bitcoin rallied unexpectedly last month and altcoins fell terribly which is still going on. Past records of bitcoin volatility states that Bitcoin doesn't remain bullish for this long without undergoing correction once with almost all the altcoins going 50% down and finding hard to recover. Cryptocurrency market is really very unpredictable!

I think you need to trade and accumulate more altcoins and wait for the price up cz you are way too more down thn you expected.

For me you must hold your coins since it is only a paperloss. At this moment bitcoin is too high, that's why many altcoins are in bearish or low rate, but it doesn't mean that it's a selling point instead it is a buying point for us. Overall, it's your decision if you already need funds fo take put a exit point but if not just HODL. :)

Actually there does not seem to be enough reasons at this precise moment to expect a considerable rebound in most of the altcoins, as most people seem only interested in continuing to invest in bitcoin given its spectacular performance this year and the proximity of the new hardfork. Maybe after this event we can see a little more movement in the altcoin market, but I do not think it is a significant rebound as you would like, mate.

Actually people are investing in bicoin but i think sooner than later, and after  the hardfork,some altcoin will rebound and their investors smile .

No one can predict. I'm a bag holder myself and I really wish that alts will rise soon. But that's the deal with alts they are so unpredictable. That's way you gain a lot with alts, but you can also lose a lot. Few months a ago if bitcoin went up the alts would soon follow, if bitcoin went down alts would go down too. These days I fell like bitcoin goes down, alts go down too, bitcoin goes up, alts sunk even lower.. But I'm sure of one thing, alts will go up eventually. It's all a cycle of bubbles. And 2018 would be the year of alts for sure. Just be patience and don't sell at a loss.

Mate, don't worry, just wait. The coins you've bought are not so bad, most probably they will rise upon completion Bitcoin rally after its hardfork. Anyway buy-and-hold concept really work in crypto if you chose the right investment object. Now you should relax and wait about 2 weeks more. Peace.

You have to be patient and wait for the market to turn. Although is not all of them that will rise at same time. Those alts coin you owned are good to hold. Do not panic and lose your assets.

No way to tell really, you just have to do your own research and decide for yourself. There is a lot of misinformation and scams out there.

I don't understand why you wouldn't buy BTC with at least some of that cash.. and ETH. If I was you I'd be putting most of what I had left in BTC and wait a few yrs. I personally would put a smallish portion in alts vs BTC.

i am not sure about when the alts will up but i still believe that it will happen soon and we only can be patience while we can trade btc-altcoin. i think its better to hold like above me said because we can not make profit if we are selling now all of our coins and we need to waiting for a while. but once the altcoin price is up, then the price will jump two times or three times from the last lower price so we can sell to make profit.

Due to big news Amazon start to accept selling product by using Bitcion and bitcoin going up but altcoins are not growing due to increasing demand of bitcoin but after this hype when bitcoin price will sable then it is sure almost all alts will up again and recover the investments of investors.

It depends, Bitcoin has struggled half of it's life to be as the highest valued cryptocurrency that exist today. Maybe Altcoins do the same thing. Actually very difficult in predict but I often rely on feelings of the heart only if when the bitcoin price increases great I directly hold the first capital to buy some kind of altcoin.Then at the time of price changes back I rushed to resell all these assets into cash.

People buy more btc -> load of btc network rises -> transaction fees increase -> miners buy more ASICS -> before there will be new mining farms built interest in altcoins increases.

For me, its better to sell your remaining alt coin. Its really hard to hold coins now a days because bitcoin keeps pumping hard that some alt coins can't keep the pace. Some traders including me are using stop loss to minimize our losses and find another way to gain profit instead of waiting it to recover.

From personal experience they will go up right after you give up all hope and sell them off. Big players manipulate these markets and like to shake off weak hands before making their big moves. If everyone is expecting a coin to rise it is actually more profitable for them to move the market down, conversely once everyone is convinced it is going to tank you can often see it reverse course and make new highs.

Just hold your altcoins.Earlier,it was expected that most people who slod out their altcoins and bought bitcoins for getting free BTG coins during hard fork would very soon sell their bitcoins after getting free coins and buy altcoins which would trigger altcoins price.

But unexpectedly,those people didn't sell their bitcoins and they might have thought that yet another hard fork due to segwit 2x activation is very near and so just to hold bitcoins.That's why,altcoins price have not increased.

But very soon,after segwit 2x activation,they would start selling their bitcoins after getting free bitcoin segwit 2x coins and would start buying altcoins.At that time,altcoin prices would trigger and you could sell your altcoins at that time.

Altcoins price now is very low for a month from the day the segwit2x is announced, many people used their money from altcoins to exchange into bitcoin to buy it, so the more bitcoin price is high the more altcoins price will drop, so i will hold my altcoins until at least afternthe segwit because i believe altcoins will rise again after this segwit or at least this year.

It is really a very good opportunity to buy altcoins at a very lower price. It seems more of a good bargain for those altcoins right now as I do not see many chances of them going lower than they already are. What is important is to just thread carefully and be on the lookout so that one does not end up with a terrible loss at the end and there are some altcoins that should not be held for too long at this stage so the trader does not get burnt.

Similar setups occur frequently in stock trading - for example everyone goes into FB before earnings, sending other tech stocks down. Then after earnings it goes in reverse direction

Untill bitcoin bull run is over , none of the alts will really explode in price. After bitcoin will have it's correction then it's time to look upon trusty alts and see where this will go. However you can try speculate now some alts but you will end loose bitcoin if you ask me.

They will come back, not all, of course. Proportionally to the BTC course decrease - if it will be 4k usd again - some will grow 2 times or even more, but only some. BTC is someway absorbing alt's resources atm.

Keep calm and wait for 1Q 2018

Etherium will fall significantly after today due to the parity issue. Might cause many people to invest Eth in other coins which use more trustworthy tech.

It should turn around in a few weeks time. Fork will be over and all of those airdrops too so money will flow from bitcoin and back into alts. Just a bit more patience is needed and then it will happen!

A few moments after the fork, hopefully. People are selling altcoins right now to buy more Bitcoin, this always happens everytime a fork happens. Major altcoin like Litecoin will surely rise again after the Bitcoin crazy run is over. Not sure what will happen to shitcoins like your DGB and SIA, though.

If you're planning to sell those alts, don't do it now. Just wait for the fork. BTC price will usually go down a bit after a fork. One more suggestion: don't invest a big amount it shitcoins. Pour those money into Bitcoin or major altcoin like ETH and LTC instead.

I think that altcoins will go up slowly after the fork. I expect that bitcoin price will go down a little bit. It is up to you, but if I  was on your place I wouldn't sell the portfolio, now when it is in red. I would keep holding my coins and waiting the market to recover. I think that in Q12018 good altcoins will raise in value, while the other will probably die.

I am hoping in this 16th November there is going to be bitcoin segwit 2x and I am pretty sure it will be final hard fork for bitcoin and so lets hope all the Altcoin will get some recovery after this fork because after that may be bitcoin get stable.

I think all altcoins will rise closer to November 20. When the situation with bitcoins normalizes and everyone gets their fork. But this is my personal opinion.

Alts will probably rise a bit in December once the Bitcoin fork settles down some. Q1 fy18 is when you will probably see more gains and some big news from different alts helping fuel the fire.

I have been facing a similar problem thought at at the volume you are.. I got some altcoins and the prices haven't appreciated to a level I can call profitable yet.. for the last two weeks, they are either dipping further or are just hovering in the same price band..
My guess is that the prices of the alts should increase soon.. before the 2X fork and also after the fork before consolidating again..

I think for now if you have spare funds, it is the best time to buy all the depressed altcoins that you want to accumulate for the longer term. I like accumulating COSS at the moment as it is so very cheap now and under ten cents as I believe that once the exchange comes out of Beta by year end it's a ten x bagger in my books. I think end of November we should see alts slowly moving up again.

I think the best thing you have to do is to wait. Don't panic because as we are into this cryptocurrency world we already know the risk we have to take care of. Control your emotion mate don't do stupid things because it might lead you to lose some of your capital just wait for a good timing. If you believe that it will be bouncing back in the next days, months or years then just leave it there just always remember that patience is virtue. It had happened to me once but came a good timing where price go up and I sold all my coins right away because I know it will be bleeding again in the next days due to hard fork and I actually did the right decission.

The only thing you can do for now is go to your room,  hold your rosary and pray that the coins that you purchase rises after the bitcoin fork. Don't worry, just trust yourself and the coin that you invested at,  you wouldn't invested in that coin if you never trusted on it in the first place.

Some alts are already showing signs of strength, even before the fork.. I didn't think this would happen but i think we have already hit the bottom, and things will only get "greener" from here on out. Im excited to see what happens on the day of the 2x fork, it's going to be wild!  8)

Most of the altcoins are going down because of the Bitcoin forks that are happening on the blockchain at this moment. Soon alt would rise if the forks stop happening most of the traders are selling their altcoins to get some bitcoin for the free money at the incoming forks. most likely the rise of alts would happen by next year of april or may (my speculation)

ETH has brought +4.58% Ripple - XRP +2.97% NEO gave +23.47 overnight. Looks like more green across the board today.

Whenever that, which's obviously I'm still really sure some altcoins that are often made as an investment by many people (investors).. it's surely would having price movements towards the higher direction. I personally prefer or looking at Eth, Bch, Ripple for investing, it seems that some of these coins can be reliable for investing, and still have a chance to moving towards the higher on its price.

Don't panic after the fork bitcoin will loose a lot of his price. So then is the time for altcoins to go high, but remember that altcoins are not bitcoins. They don't have the support that btc got.

So you can maybe after all lose all of your money if you think you are losing a lot you can still have your half money back.

Segwit2 is dead, long live the alts! I see them going way up now and I like the trend.

This is the buying season of alts, so be smart and buy those altcoins which have a platform to use and hopefully we will see some green alts as soon as the fork is over.

Well done if you were hold your alts till now. Alts are rising after the news about Segwit2X cancellation. And it was great moment to buy more alts.

An example of when Altcoins can go up is if and when Bitcoin suddenly drops like what happened yesterday. Prime example is Bitcoin crashes and investors sell quickly and buy Altcoins, Altcoins go up for a small or long period depending on how long Bitcoin dumps and then possibly buy back into Bitcoin when they see that coin stabilize.

Every coins has their own time.better for you to try playing gambling to lessen your boredom waiting for the alts to climb up..thats how most of the user falls.when they cant wait for the right time and selling their coin in lower price.

Indeed. Well done to those that held their altcoin bags through all the carnage. For those that kept checking the prices, it's been a painful fews weeks heading into the fork.

I don't think that altcoins will just rise straight up, though. I'm guessing there will be some sideways and a final euphoric high in BTC. That probably means that altcoins will continue looking for a bottom.

But soon, #altsareback. I can feel it. Whether or not the market has bottomed out completely, I think we can be more confident in our bags now.

We can see that the segwit has been cancelled and as a result altcoins are already gaining traction. This is the result of bitcoin investors realizing they have no free coins and now they are pulling out of the market to reinvest in altcoins. Now might be the right time to buy if you ask me as majority of the alts are in green.

Altcoins were showing good price pumping often. Right now this has been fluctuating in a much common manner with the growth of altcoin indicated with green mark and in a very short time the same goes down and gets marked with red mark. So, this is not exactly the time for alts pumping.

I think it has been always hard to say something about the rising periods of the cryptocurrencies. But I've seen that mainly, everybody is expecting the rising of the altcoins, and I think it is possible to see the rising of the altcoin prices in the future with the increasing buyings.

Alt coins(or some of them) will rise up when their project's will start doing any progress.

This question is also mine.Because Aitcoin market is so dumping now.I don,t no Whether it can go to its previous price.But I noticed a matter, when bitcoin price increasing then altcoin price is down.But again bitcoin excess price decreases , then altcoin price is down.Yet,I have seen, If bitcoin Price stable the price of altcoin increases.At this moment I seen It, when I reply this post.

Alt Coins are going too much down from last couple of months before the bitcoin hardcore and segwet hype was created and that is effected very seriously, But this time is start to boom Altcoins because this hardfork is cancelled and i think in result Altcoins must go up and i hope there will be reach at the top and  recover the investments of investors and will increase the attraction of the market again soon in nearly future time.

Take a look at Bittrex today and you will see there's only 5 coins or tokens in Red and 1 of them was just added today VIB or Vibrate so if you are asking when will alts go up, today it started to go up and may continue to go up since we have seen in the past few days alts price dropped because of the hard fork.

I think you just have to be patient in future the other coins also will get demand,nowadays only people investing on bitcoin because thay only hear about the bitcoins but in the coming years everyone will understand about cryptos and there are many coins available so they will look for an alternative than bitcoin that time your coins will give good profits.Or you have another option that sell all your coins and buy a bitcoin and keep it for five or ten years it will also give high profits.

I'm going to buy altcoins a lot by the end of november this year, so I'll be lucky, and I miss the time when altcoin grows like mushrooms after the rain. My mistake for not fixing his profit so just look at the growing and happy balance. 8)

Altcoin prices will be up base on many factor. Events in crypto community and in the market also contribute to rise and fall of altcoin prices. You should constantly update your reason for buying and selling your altcoin in order to make profit.

The leaders of altcoins are growing, and do not fall sufficiently. In a way their price depends on how much BTC costs. I suppose that Ethereum will grow as well as NEO and Monero. Waves, probably. But I doubt we'll see the great alts' growth this year.

Usually when bitcoin is down but it's natural because altcoin is adjusting bitcoin price.
So if altcoin is up when bitcoin is up either it means that altcoin's demand is getting higher than usual so it's depend on how good and how supportive their project because altcoin market far more unpredictable compare bitcoin market, IMO

Your investment in the altcoins is a good decision. Due to fork all altcoins were under pressure. Now all altcoins will go up regularly,

The only thing we should do at this time is to give trust to our coins and don't lose hope for the time that it will rise from being dump. This dump is the result from a lot of scam ICO's created today and some investors are worried and afraid to invest their money in here.

For the last one month i am only seeing alt at the lowest level. The BTC has been pumping and as a result all the alts are dipping in value. A few days before bitcoin started dumping as Swegit2 was cancelled but still only BTC Cash pumped and rest of the alts still remain down. I am not saying if the alts will never rise, they will surely rise but it may take time, maybe after a few months.

It seems that everytime the bitcoin price is up, the alts are down. With this situation, some traders transfer their funds to the bitcoins hoping to get a slice of profits. Be patient because there is always time for the altcoins to rise again, and some of them might go up.

I am waiting too but it seems we are not going anywhere until 2018.
Lets hodl and pray for altcoins. Bitcoin is gaining power everyday.

We no one can tell you for sure. They might make a huge pump in december or q1 2018 which I am expecting of law low with the rising value of bitcoin. Or bitcoin might crash and take down with it every other alts there is in crypto.

Altcoin is already up. If you are waiting for a pump that is another matter entirely. Significant rise in price usually follow good news. If your altcoin is constantly on the news for good reason, you may expect pump anytime soon.

It is expected that in the middle of next year or earlier it is not. But there is a possibility of a sudden increase in the number, such as Bitcoin cash increased. If this is the case then there is no word yet.

I think altcoin will soon rise when Bitcoin stabilizes and there is no more hardfork news. ;)
