Same problem, synced wallet is missing approx. 500 coin for me (including unlocked and locked valvues). All so the pool.fonero.org seems to have stopped pay outs for the last couple of hours....Cheers.

I was considering loading the wallet and testing some mining out. I assume there is a large contingent of the community that is not having wallet issues and their balance is correct? I will check again in the morning, the wallet states that it syncs fine and catches up the blocks just zero balance, i will stop mining for now until its figured out  ;)

v2 in Masari is due to difficulty code I derived from Sumokoin (and properly credited, https://github.com/masari-project/masari/commit/098c22fe7f997ade57e08f1a4716ae458c9f7ad1) to address flash mining problems, and you can see in the Masari fork, Fonero, they integrated that as part of v1 because they're a new Masari fork and didn't need retroactive consensus.

It's definitely something wrong with this pool, but as you said, I got more coins when synced chain today. Still not 180.8 as pool says, but getting close. Don't know what to think about it.

Well as I said I would, I gave mining a go despite the apparent pool issues and I am now in the same position. I had to test for myself though. Hopefully the problems, whatever they may be, will be sorted out soon. Until then I will resume mining something else and put this one on pause.

There is nothing wrong with publicly admitting that Fonero is a Masari fork that is a fork of Monero, with proper copyright notice retention. Failure to do so just raises all kind of alarms.

edit: for context, Masari has re-written a very large portion of the code-base to refactor out legacy requirements from Monero (the so called Fonero "Unique Modified Stable Kernel"), and in part was so that it can be "v1" without any baggage - there are no "borrowed" files, the Masari code base has to have been used in its entirety by Fonero for it to work.

@josephk84 not dead yet. They use masari code and will be taken down from all repo because they steal the code saying is their code. Officially this coin doesn't exist except this forum. And with files offline they basically hide to people what code contains. Buy and mine at your own risk. This coin in last 7 days lost 50% of its price (pumped already by premined money).

Same problem. It works just on some pc and I cannot understand because of what.
In the beginnig I thought it was due to different versions of Visual C redist.
Then I installed the same versions I have on a working pc but it didn't fix the problem.
So I'm using the cli.

There's something called a "license" that accommodates a copyright for all software published out there. Here's Masari's, https://github.com/masari-project/masari/blob/master/LICENSE , you'll see that it's a BSD license, and it's plastered everywhere on the project that it's a fork of Monero, because it abides by the BSD license.

Fonero is a fork of Masari, which is a fork of Monero, which is a fork of Bytecoin. There are a lot of changes in Masari's code-base, and Fonero's team member romankosoj doesn't seem to be able to understand what terms of a license means, and they definitely didn't foresee this when they took Masari's code without retaining its copyright notice. The BSD license above allows redistribution and use of source code, with a few conditions, one of which being that you have to retain copyright notice of the source of the code that you're using, which Fonero is not and hence has all of its repositories violating this (fonero core repository and node-cryptonote-util) are taken down as legally required by DMCA.

You need to stop resorting to denial and insults, it doesn't help your case.

I have been reading this thread for a while, and wow, these two guys (or one switching accounts) have to be the two rudest developers/PR individuals in the history of cryptocurrency.

As soon as someone points something out or asks a legitimate question both of them turn into an instant insult machine.
It's quite ridiculous to think you're going to build a community around "your" project by telling everyone who asks relatively legitimate questions to go and fuck themselves.
Instead of doing that, how about you try and actually elaborate the matter in question? 
It seems that the answer is pretty simple - you can't because most people who are accusing you are rightfully doing so as you're nothing else but a group of thieves looking to scam a bunch of people who don't know what to look for or what to pay attention to when choosing a coin to mine or invest in.
Well, the issue is that you guys aren't the first ones to try that and certainly not the last ones. However, the execution of your brilliant scam plan is borderline hilarious. While you could set up a decently made cover and actually put some effort into the concept of scamming ignorant individuals, you've just copied the code, set up a one-page website without any relevant info about the plans for the future or roadmaps, indexed on one shitty exchange, and that's it. Anyone with a grain of experience in crypto would recognize a bunch of red flags right at the beginning.

Don't mine nor buy this coin, you'll regret it later.

Since June 2017, AMD Vega with HBCC broke out and has been destroying the balance between CPU and GPU. There is no more 1-vote-1-cpu with the dated CryptoNote v2 setting. For instance, common CPU only provides 200 - 400 h/s and even Nvidia GT 1080Ti produces at most 500 h/s; whereas Vega 56 easily gives 2000 h/s, a multiple of common CPU or GPU hash rates. As we all know, most mining rig can only have 1 or 2 CPU at most, but utilises 4 - 6 graphic cards, resulting a serious imbalance against CPU mining and following the old paths of Bitcoin towards the mining centralisation. Then 51% attack or something weird will come!!!!

This coin is claimed as rectifying the problems in Monero. Would you implement something like Cuckoo Cycle to prevent the bizarre coming?

So Fonero has no improvements whatsoever over Monero. It's a direct copy and paste fork of Masari which is again a fork of Monero, without retaining the copyright license. The only difference being a 2 million coin premine that the devs are waiting to dump as soon as there is some sort of pump. There is no easier way to become a millionaire known to mankind if you ask me.

To top it off, the devs insult anyone that questions them. If this isn't a scamcoin, then I don't know what is. I doubt CoinMarketCap would even list such obvious blatant scamcoins and they have a very low threshold for getting listed.
