For coins that include superblocks or variable rewards (CDC, DMD, ELP, GDC, GIL, JNK, LKY, NUG, PHS, RED, SPT, STR, and SXC) it would be possible to create a "Happy Seeder" miner that would increase the number of superblocks found.   With enough hash power, one would effectively increase the coin supply much more then was intended by the original devs.

At least there seems to be good support and dedication to DGC services, which is lacking with GLD. I think GLD was considered the most hated alt on the forums here for a while and may still be. Perhaps a poll is needed  :P

Just start at the top and diff lock them all.  The 5 or 6 that are fixed and running again within a week might be worth trying to work with.

I don't really understand why my coins would be a target. Sure, I may be an asshole, but I am actively supporting, improving and working on creating uses for my coins. I didn't just flip a switch, cash out, and disappear for ever. If you want to kill coins, you should target ones like GLD, it's a scam coin, by design, and block reward was just dropped considerably, in an attempt to make current holdings, more valuable, before MicroGUY cashes out, and leaves his cult holding the bag.

Maybe it is a cunning plan? Maybe I do want these coins gone. After all PXC is not exactly covering itself in glory right now.

Maybe the next time I am poking others I will have a sporting a Spots logo ;)

Can you guys please stop suggesting targets and think about the feasibility and intellectual value of the project first?

Was that you that instantly doubled the difficulty and hashrate of DGC for a bit? i swear it went from 400Mh/s to over 1TH/s instantly. Which is unusual, it only ever goes up when pool hoping assholes come on over after diff drops. Looks like I'll be selling off mine soon then.

Oh and for the record, this idea of killing alt coins might be genius. If you're holding a shit ton of LTC, killing off even just a few other coins would force people to sell theirs and boost the value of your coins.

That was middlecoin and multipool jumping on when it was highest on coinchoose after the difficulty dropped.

That's what I said. But the increase was before a difficulty adjustment. When multipool and everything jump over, it usually only ever reaches 600-800Mh/s. I guess I'll keep an eye on it next adjustments.

It reached 2.2Gh/s last night, and is often 1+ with the multipools on it.  The recent spike tonight seems to have been ~1.7

BCX is full of bloody tampons & shit. Do something already, you have not taken one coin out of commission.

As a rare visitor to the altcoin forum, I am mildly intrigued by the idea of this thread. I second EletricMucus' suggestion of starting with the least novel/lowest effort coins. Although I suppose that doesn't narrow it down that much  ;)

The only issue I see after watching numerous 51% attacks is well they survive which is the opposite of what I thought would happen. Even with no Dev support someone forks it and the coin moves on. Fork it again and again and again........ holders and devs revive it. I look at most of the alts as little science projects and the fixes as experiments that can later be applied to better and better crypto. Heck even some coins change COMPLETELY and evolve.
