I would look into altcoins, not bitcoin. Unless you trade with leverages you won't be making a lot of profit with only $500.

Investing in crypto currencies is a bit risky but there are some coins like ethereum, ripple and doge whose value is increasing continuously. So you can first go for the previous deat of these coins including their value, market capitalisation and demand then you can invest accordingly.
I would recommend you to invest 50% in ripple 40% in ethereum and 10% in doge coins.

Invest in Altcoins and spread it in 4-5 coins, there are some good solid coins currently available at a good price, but make sure you invest after some good analysis, personally, I would like to go with Eth, Neo, Waves, OMG.

Diversify. Consider buying altcoins with under $1-$5 value since its been on red in these past few weeks. If I do have $500, I'd probably buy atleast 1 NEO since it became very expensive since it started last year. I was amazed how NEO improved from less than $50 value to more than a hundred dollars even if there is a dip.

Utrust is a great market I think and it can go higher this year so your $500 is worth to invest their. Though a lot of good coins, but I suggest to put it on a one great coin for you to have a huge volume of coins that can maximize the profit you can have and then diversify later on. Because that money is not that much, it is better to buy ethereum, all of it. Wait for some time because my speculation for ethereum is that it will go to $2k by the end of the year 2018. I would recommend Expanse and ICX right now. Expanse just broke out of it's down trend and has massive potential as a platform that hosts ICOs and has smart contracts with a small market cap, and ICX has been on a downtrend and seems to have found it's bottom and should rebound well. more a coin for an investment will certainly be good because it reduces the risk when one of the coins decreases in price and you can back up by profit from another but of course the capital you will share will be smaller so that the profit you will generate will be smaller. better focus on 1-5 coins only. do not too much. maybe I'll add DNR and XRP in your list..

I'm not so particular on a wild guess cause I fail so many times with that.  That's why I'll go in searching to find what is best and having a good market trend today.  Maybe you can do it same thing of what I've did before.  Since a lot of coins existing right now,  you better directly check on coinmarketcap for potentials altcoins.
