A few generic beginner tips that will help you to get up to speed:
1: Never invest more than you can afford to loose.
2: Buy the dips (looks easy and is quite easy, if you can resist huge green candles / FOMO)
3: Begin with trading CMC top 25 coins, to avoid to much risk in the beginning.
4: To get the best average price for long term holds, apply dollar cost averaging (buy fixed amounts each weak, and buy a bit more in case of a sudden dip)
5: Bitcointalk, youtube and Google are your friends. View and read a lot about trading to get the hang of it.
6: Do your own research on a coin. never just jump in based on some social media hype.

Hope this helps a little.

Actually we are same ( a new beginner), i just remember of someone advice in this group also, he said " Before you do something that you never know about  it..Try to learn it first " , Never invest on something that you're not expert on it. So the conclusion is, we better learn first about trading before you get involve on it.

For beginners you should increase the rank of the account first at least until the junior member, then follow the project bounty social media or signature, then make a post or a quality to get merit from people who rate your post on the topic of others.

A good knowledge about crypto will go a long way, so as a beginner, it's best to read and read and read first the basics. Never get too excited because that's the usual reason of losses. Study and research a good coin, you can find a lot of crypto basics in youtube. Invest more of your time and attention in learning if you want be successful and it will pay off.

All the things for newbie are almost said. Even strategies, tips or their personal way of earning. This could be a good thing or a meaning of what an helping hand is. But I just want to go back to the basic or the basic tips which you could acquire those three. You have to read, read and read. Of course you have to do it in able to acquire those basic knowledge.

Before entering a trading platform, you have to know at least some of the basic knowledge. Some tips are available via youtube and many more sites.

Of course, you have to know first those basic terms regarding crypto trading and how law of demand and supply works, then search also the different trading exchanges and compare their fees and credibility. Always  remember that trading is not an easy job so you must be careful how much would you prefer as a start up capital and how much money you just can't afford to lose and one of the most important for us to become successful is to always track the latest news, the top 10 coins and how much is their rise/down.

And last is to begin and act NOW. We may fail most of the time but what important is how we rise and try again not getting frustrated and hate trading for the rest of our life. Don't borrow money, save your income so you can have something to start with. Good luck and happy trading!

This is some quality advice. Pay key attention to point number 1. Invest what you are comfortable losing, if things go southwards, God forbid. Before jumping into any trade, make sure you research deeply and you'll surely come out a winner.

The best advice is don't trade in beginners it is not comfortable to expecting profit. Because many newbies are affected in trading they don't know about the trading strategy.
This is risky investment so try to gain some knowledge in this forum then continue to analyse the best coin. This is the right choice for beginners if you want to invest know you only affected your investment.

If you want to start trading better you start a strategy or MCD from Altcoin to make sure where to buy and sell, if you have seen the MCD and put it there, you can consider it in that trade.

Here's mine

1. Always look for the path of the coin, it maybe on charts , pictures and datas.
2. Prefer on top coins, always look for higher coins such as on top 10
3. Always search the coin on social medias and look for positive feedbacks and also for the negative ones.
4. It's okay to risk because it is all a worth to but don't always follow your instinct so you can fall to benefit of the doubt.

If you are investing in coins for the long-term, the safest strategy is holding, but day-trading, or even casual trading can be profitable in the short term, allowing you to increase your stack relatively faster. Whether you’re a beginner to crypto trading or just trying to take a chance in this exciting new market

You are a beginner which means what you have asked in your post are mostly non-essential parts when it comes to trading, yes you do need to have an exchange in order to trade but you won't be earning if you don't know what to buy and sell in the first place. Some posts of the users here are right when they told you to dwell first mainly on technical analysis or the study of its price charts as it is really what a trader need in order to earn something from the market. You must study Technical Analysis first and create a trading account with a mock portfolio to test your skills with it. Also don't limit yourself with just the analyzation of the charts as you must also have a trading plan as well from entry to exit also with some contingency plans.

One thing I’ve recently learned is that it is important for a trader to understand how to read charts. I mean in the sense of stock market trading with Fibonacci methods, candle sticks, etc. I have done some trading without a good understanding of chart reading and now I see the value in it. I’m trying to study this so I can be a better trader in the future.

The only tip that I want to give to beginners right now is please get to know about Bitcoin or ALT coin before you start trying to make money out of it. If you are gonna do something related to it without any knowledge about it you are not going to be rewarded. So please focus on knowing more and watch people speak on it and then when you feel like you know enough start grinding for money and stuff  :).

any advice for beginner trader ? what exchange to use and worth trust ? what coins to consider trading in ? what strategies to use ?
For every beginner in any kind of thing, you must first have a knowledge about what you are about to do. You must first learn the very basic. I suggest that before you enter trading, you must have at least some knowledge about investments. Everything you need to know about trading is all over the internet. You can search for it in google, all the information that you really need. The most important thing about investments is that you must be very careful on where you put your money and make sure to invest only the amount of money you can afford to lose. The higher the risk you take, the higher reward is waiting for you.

My advice is to invest your EXTRA income. The ones that you can leave into Bitcoin for a long time. Wait for the decrease in growth before investing. It is better to invest if it has a dip so that whenever it goes up, your money goes with it. Lastly, I think it is better to hold onto Bitcoin even though it goes down since it has potential. It can help a lot of people and it has benefits that physical currency can't give.

1. Read the whitepaper by Satoshi. It's linked in my sig below. Everything else here is about this one paper.

2. Avoid alt-coins until you can explain bitcoin to a mathematician. Most alts are scams, few have any purpose for existing.

3. Unless you are the sole owner of your private keys you do NOT have any bitcoin.  Get those keys secured!

4. Make backup copies of your wallet. Store them offline. Bank safe deposit boxes work well for this. Without backups there is no hope of recovery if you have problems with your wallet.

5. Do not delude yourself into thinking that someone knows something about the future. Nobody knows what is going to happen, nobody. Do your own homework and make your own decisions.

6. Only trade at legal, licensed businesses in your country. Anything else is foolish as you have zero legal recourse. You are going to have to provide identity papers etc. It is the law and a place that does not follow the law is not trustworthy. What are you going to tell the police? "Help, the people who were helping me avoid taxes stole my money."

7. Keep careful records of your trades as they are taxable.  In virtually every place on the planet you will owe taxes on bitcoin. Don't believe the bullshit you see here every day, there are taxes. In the U.S.A. you owe between 0%-20% depending on your tax situation. And yes, the IRS has begun tracking trades and has the blockchain to prove every single transfer ever made.

Be careful to click some links that no business to you especially email, ignore it. If you involve in ICO and receive email or entering to the specific links you join, double check it first or better to confirm it to the dev.

Yes if you get any emails are messages in a telegram to click any links please don't click blindly. Nowadays hackers are targetting newbies so be careful while doing anything in your system. And where you will do trading that system you must secure with internet security. and don't let any virus attached file to download in your system. These are the basic things you have to do. and next market learning. Before buying any coins, you must read the white paper and understand.

But it is not that simple to learn everything like this, all you need is to spend years just to get all of this knowledge. What basic things that you need to do trading is you will need to gather every informations that you have and try to search everything related to what coin you are trading with. If you think bitcoin is too wide, you can try other coin like eth or ltc or even doge to make your profit worth. I start trading with doge because it is realiable at that time and you do not need huge amount to start with

I still see the old style in the world of trade used by many users. Like you buy a coin whose price is still not high and sell it when it has reached the price we want (High). But other styles also can still be considered, such as holding the trade coins we have or we sell to buy other coins. until you get the profit you want.

I think that the best way for a beginner to learn is for you to immerse yourself fully on what to expect in the world of cryptocurrency. The best thing that I can advise is for you to read up, know the terminologies and get to know the world that you would be swimming on. That way you would not be confused or trricked and that you can trust your own decision making on what to do whenever there is a fork or a crossroad in your path

Bitcoin beginners now need more experience and care as compare to past because now merit system is also implemented due to which if you can't able to write quality posts then you will be unable to receive merit points and as if you are not receiving merit points then you will not receive high rank. So my advise for beginner is that they need to study about bitcoin deeply and get accurate information and after that they need to start posting here.

4. Check also the history of the coin (There could be economic forks that skews the data hence TA won't work).

Good luck!

even if i'm a beginer since I keep reading and research stuff, there are a few big things to consider, like:

no day trading (make your search and see for yourself why long term pays off)
if the investment is small - mine is arround 200$ USD :D - make a good research about the altcoins and see the one/s with potential

in rest I think the rest of the advices are very good and come from ppl with experience in this, good luck!

I have advice for someone who is just beginning to want to participate in bitcoin. If you want to start trading you first analyze what altcoin you want to buy and you have to re-examine altcoin prices in any other exchange, and it will be for you profitable in your trade. To be aware of the risks, Bitcoin is a high-risk and high-risk investment that could double in value over time.

any advice for beginner trader ? what exchange to use and worth trust ? what coins to consider trading in ? what strategies to use ?

As beginner you should do pretty much thing, I think the starting point would be getting to know how trade works in the crypto currency market.

Get to know what are the actual factors that are getting the market cap affected, this in turn fluctuates the values on the future or in real time if it is strong movement.

Do in depth analysis on these factors because it's not same as the Forex or shares market that we see in real world.  This is more or less very manipulative market, due to its decentralisation off course and hence you have to consider the fact that it can make sudden moves and affect your trades directly.

You will get feel for everything as you pass through different techniques.

There are so many tips that I can give to you but I will share to you just 2 words that are very helpful and made traders successful. What are these two words? Patience and Emotion. Patience is one of the ingredients that will make you a successful trader. Like they say "Patience if Virtue" so if you have patience, it will give you a better result in the end. Emotion is the one that professional trader doesn't have because if emotion takes over you in trading, you will end up losing all your investment so be emotionless in trading.

My advice for beggining traders:

1. Don't listen to FUDs. Most specially coming from noobs or even members with no resource.
2. Don't panic sell. It'll only cost you more losses if you do.
3. Use reputable and trusted exchanges. Don't ever skimp on wallets. So do your research.
4. My strategy in buying and selling, when my initial investment double or triples (depending on coin potential and speculations) I immediately sell.
5. Buy 50% Bitcoins and 50% Alt coins.

Hi there milo07! Ill give you five tips. First, read a lot more before going into serious trading, there are tons of tutorial out there for you to start with. Second, choose an exchange that will meet your expectation, remember there are exchange that are fitted for new trader, which offer low or even no fee on buying and selling under several limitations. Third, don't place your invest all at once, if you will allot 10k for trading place 5k-7k first, for you to move freely. You will understand it when you get there. Fourth, don't focus on one coin only, sometimes the price of your coin didn't swing enough thus you will earn almost nothing. And lastly, if you are stress due to manual trading, there are bots out there to ease your task, but some did not perform well. Good Luck!  ;)

you can try etherdelta for trading. my advice, etherum is good for trading, but there are still many other coins you can trade, or for example you want to trade token. there you can see the price chart. to start trading, should you buy in low sell order, usually they (coin holder) who will not be patient will sell coins / tokens in low sell order. you wait until the value goes up, or you can sell in high sell order, but take a little longer.

My method consists of a long-term holding of multiple coins and short-term value dippings each day.

This method takes full benefits of current growing cryptocurrency market caps and requires only few minutes each day for setting up dip coins for the day (low maintenance).

It basically relays on the long-term growth of whole cryptocurrency market capitalization, but it could be more profitable and more resistant to “crush” than simple long-term hold due to the diversities, daily value dipping, and safety net.

In this method, you will have 4 categories of coins:

(1) Base Coin — either Bitcoin and/or Ethereum for purchasing other coins.
(2) Long-term Hold Coins* — Your selection of coins that has long-term values that you believe. In my case, BTC, ETH, NEO, RPX, IOTA, and TRX. More diverse the better. [*Update: Move these coins from Exchange to Personal wallet with your private key]
(3) Short-term Dip Coins — Your daily selection of coins for short-term value gain of 3%+ each. It also serves to monitor where the market is going overall since it forces you to look at many different coins and its performance.
(4) Safety net Coin/Account* — Tether (USDT), Each USDT unit is backed by a U.S Dollar held in the reserves of the Tether Limited. This is still a cryptocurrency, but it has very low day to day volatilities. [*Update: To be completely safe, deposit to your original bank account. There is a risk of putting your money in Tether]
You start with (1) Base Coin, then buy (2) Long-term Hold Coins and hold on to them through its good (ups) and bad (downs) time.

Each day you buy small portions of (3) Short-term Dip Coins and sell for quick profits and re-invest the profits to all categories. Repeat.

Research,
Forum activity,
YouTube channels,
Step-by-step guides,
Practice.

BUT, don't practice until you feel like ready for trading. Start with smaller amounts and focus on altcoins first. If you much funds to dedicate, also buy some BTC and ETH and hold.

Good luck!  ;)

I personally think Trader is a good job. However, in order to make a profitable return on trading, you need knowledge and experience in the cryptocurrency market. I have advice that please refer to the market for some time. Research potential coin types. You should choose a coin type for trading. Get acquainted with the market, the way and learn the rules.

Choose an exchange to buy coins on and a wallet to store the coins in, like Coinbase/GDAX which allows customers to buy/sell/store cryptocurrency. A beginner might prefer to trade cryptocurrency stocks on the stock market GBTC is a trust that owns Bitcoin and sells shares of it; trading this avoids you having to trade cryptocurrency directly. A beginner should also start by trading prominent coins. Currently, in 2018, we can recommend coins like Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH). In the future, this could change.

-Learn the basic knowledge of trading if you do not want to get lost at first.
-As for the exchanger I prefer Binance or Bittrex for trading because the volume of trading on there is quite large.
-Also for coins, you can do a research in coinmarketcap for the coins which quite active in daily trading volume.
-The right strategies to use, buy a coin when the daily candlestick is on the dip or buy the coin that is down in timeframe 5 - 15 minutes while at the same time, the timeframe above 1 hour candlestick shows an upward trend.

Focus first in learning more about the cryptocurrency and its system and market nature, give some time to read news and be updated to current events that may affect the market. In terms of strategies, holding is by far the most efficient in my opinion. Focus on your goal and make sure to never waver and choose to cut losses whenever there are crashes. Bitcoin and ethereum so far are the most safe coins to hold and trade for me though.

My advice do not trade if you do not know the answers to those questions already, you are asking the very basics of trading, and if you do not know that then you are going to lose your money and will not learn anything from it, so take a few months to learn the answer to those and many more questions and read some books about trading only after you have done all of that you should consider trading at all, after my own research long time ago I decided not to trade since I consider it to not be worthwhile.

Focus on market knowledge before investing in any project on the cryptocurrency market. Once you have a basic understanding of the market, invest in some of the projects that you learn with a very small amount of money. Keep in mind that this is a very small investment. This is because it is very volatile. Once you have captured the market, invest more and you can get results from this market.

Hmmm I think it is not just about self confidence because you don't have speak in front of many people as you invest in a cryptocurrency.
Also the thing is you have to be prepared. Take the risk
Be smart enough
Do researches and always read
Make sure to think before making any decision

In short be mature enough.

I think before you get yourself involve in trading in crypto you should prepare yourself first.

1.You must have enough knowledge about what coin you are dealing and trading with form it's market capacity and it's power.
2.You must have enough money to start with never ever put all your money in trading.just use your spare money.
3.you can experiment in different coins let say you have $100 then you can use the  50% to other coin and the other half to other coin don't put all your money in one coin.
4.You must be always updated about the news and reminders on the coins you are trading.

lastly be patient because trading is not a one time big time.

1. Be patient. Sometimes impatience is the worst enemy if you are a newbie.
2. Do not go into panic selling: if you think you are loosing money, just be patient again. Sometimes is better to wait and think in other things before going into a panic sell (selling in a lower price just because you think you are going to loose all your money).
3. Never invest money if you don’t have enough. I mean, if you really need this money for eating, just wait to have some more, some money you can just forget for a while. The less you care about the money you invest, the high  profit you get.
4. Do not trust anybody. Be careful with people offering an easy way to earn money in crypto. Be careful, as well, with the ones who offer to gamble with your money.
5. Understand the difference between a trader and a forex: the first is mean to exchange coins, the second to invest in them by groups... with trade your coins can lose value but you hold the same amount of coins, and with forex you can lose it all

on this matter you need to find out yourself, about information about bitcon
and in this forum you can find all the information you need, because you can not adopt the way of investing from others, it will make you hassle
you must have your own strategy, how to invest, because who knows the limits of our ability, is ourselves
and do not get too ambitious

Control your emotions and let your strategy guide you. Read, absorb, and don't be afraid to ask that noob question. Don't pretend you know something you don't and be real with what your trading. I say get some coins by earning them and then try and trade them. Be prepared to make mistakes, we all do in the beginning. Just learn from them. Finally,if you don't enjoy this then stop and buy for long-term only or not all.

This could be helpful. For me, i suggest that every newcommers should ask those who are expert in trading to avoid loses. In trading exchanges, i would sugget binance or coinmarketcap because of my experience to trade in this site. Maybe some sites are also good but the two i mentioned are my most convenient site in exchange.

any advice for beginner trader ? what exchange to use and worth trust ? what coins to consider trading in ? what strategies to use ?

From what I've learned so far, these are a few things you should consider when buying cryptos at this moment:
1. If you buy a coin/token worth of 50$, expect to pay around 20-30% of the total value of the coins when you withdraw them from the exchange;
2. Do not do daytrading, it's very risky and you may end up losing more money than you earned. HOLD for long term instead (years) and you won't be affected by the markets price changes.

If you are investing in coins for the long-term, the safest strategy is holding, but day-trading, or even casual trading can be profitable in the short term, allowing you to increase your stack relatively faster. Whether you’re a beginner to crypto trading or just trying to take a chance in this exciting new market

If you want to get high profit you should do your job heartily. It means giving time and know your job description first before entering. It needs full of knowledge about bitcoin in order for you to post exact  reason to each topics. In investing bitcoin it is good to hold in order to have or get high profit.

And don't put all your money in one basket.
Try to make portfolio.
So you have some other options as well. ;)

Very good list! But I would like to add one more thing to your list:
7. Don't panic sell! When the market goes down, that's when you BUY, when the market goes UP, that's when you SELL! Your emotions on the other hand will tell you otherwise, but don't listen to your emotion, make logical decisions.

As a beginner, there are alot of things to learn especially when it comes to trading. First, you must choose the right exchange. An exchange with good security features, easy to learn features and have a good volume of coins. Choose the exchnage with most number of listed coins. In terms of selecting the right coins, once the coin is already listed, they already have value. Select the coins that you can afford to buy. Lastly, always be ready on the things that might happen to the market chart.

That will be depending to an altcoin that you are going to use because there are different wallets out there, i highly prefer that you should use myetherwallet for your altcoins and use liqui.io for an exchanger to hold your bitcoins, most of the professional traders here in this forum is always referring to this coin holders.

1. Do your own research about trading. Read also about the crypto coins.
2. Learn the basics in trading, selling and buying policies.
3. Buy coins that have value or price is stable, I mean, already trusted.
4. Choose exchange with good security features. Difficult to hack.
5. Read topics at the neginners and help to widen your knowledge.

you better try to find lots of knowledge about bitcoin and other crypto. there is plenty of bitcointalk knowledge material for your understanding. spend a little time reading and searching for knowledge. after that you will know what step will you do. may be useful.

Knowledge is what you can learn from the materials or articles on this forum or blog sites. But that knowledge does not help you much in trading, so I advise you to skip trading to help you have the necessary experience for the future.

there are many exchanges that have a full degree of confidence. you can see and refer to marketcap. there is an exchange in all altcoin. for altcoin you should check it first, but if you want to trade you can buy bitcoin or ethereum as the first crypto you buy. because the two crypto is a benchmark of all existing altcoin.

Hi,

That's quite simple in fact:

1- Invest what you can afford to lose. Really. That's the main point.

2- Consider that if you wait, you can make potentially higher profit. Trading over the short-term is much harder. If you can wait, you will secure higher profits.

3- Bitcoin is not merely about trading. Read about it! ;)

Cryptocurrency is a high risk and volatile venture that needs proper knowledge of how things work. you can get all the advice there is from which wallets to use, what to buy, when to sell and all other aspects of the trade, but the top most important advice one can ever give a newcomer is, KNOW WHERE YOU PUT YOUR MONEY. research, inquire ask questions. as long as you have adequate knowledge then nothing will ever go wrong.

Dont invest too early, make more knowledge in every step you do in btc. Signature campaign will help you earn and get more knowledgeable on how trading works. And if you start trading make sure you have the idea on what benefits you will get after that process. The strategies that you've learn will help you earn.

Here a tip I've shared before about emptying your paper wallets using your cell phone.
If anyone out there is curious about this process (which I recently just went through) to sell Bitcoin on your cell phone from a paper wallet -than this thread is for you. I’ll lay it out step by step -

1) You need to check and see if you have any forked coins (shitcoins) here- http://Forkexplorer.com

-If you plan to redeem those coins you can read about how to do so here:

Bitcoin Cash- https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/beginners-guide-claiming-your-bitcoin-cash-and-selling-it/

Bitcoin Gold- https://99bitcoins.com/how-to-claim-bitcoin-gold-btg-guide/

Bitcoin diamond/SuperBitcoin etc- https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@olsm/how-to-claim-bitcoin-diamond-bcd-super-bitcoin-sbtc-and-bitcoin-gold-btg

Now once you are ready to transfer your Bitcoin to an exchange to sell:

2) Download Mycelium app

I've got a great tip for you, it's spelled beginners, not begginers. Now that's out of the way, here's a few more.

1. Start small, do not invest more than you can afford to lose, gradually invest more as you get comfortable with crypto
2. If you plan to trade, make you choose the exchange that's right for you, based on the exchange fee, volume and coins supported
3. Don't spam post on the forum, and try to stay high quality otherwise you'll be tagged by a DT member which may end your crypto career prematurely
4. Be overly cautious when starting out.

Only few traders get successful for the first time trading. First you must have knowledge all about coins and all about trading techniques, to understand the flow of coins and the flow of price in the market. Experince is more important in trading, this improves your skills in trading.

any advice for beginner trader ? what exchange to use and worth trust ? what coins to consider trading in ? what strategies to use ?
The best advice is don't trade in beginners it is not comfortable to expecting profit. Because many newbies are affected in trading they don't know about the trading strategy.
This is risky investment so try to gain some knowledge in this forum then continue to analyse the best coin. This is the right choice for beginners if you want to invest know you only affected your investment.
yes, I agree with you, trading is not a good choice for beginners. many people are affected by trading because of the great benefits, including beginners. so making them forget that the risk of trading is also great.

maybe for beginners simply follow the campaign in the forum or mined bitcoin with fauchet, and others in addition to trading and investment.

Always do your own research before buying and pay attention to price. It doesn't matter how good a coin is if you pay too much for it.

First of all, you need to know some basic knowledge about bitcoin before you decide to invest in bitcoins. Don't invest all your assets in bitcoins. Bitcoin is risky. If you fail to play with your bitcoin, you will lose everything.

the thing that first you can do is reading and find a thread here to answer all your questions and gain more knowledge how to handle more consequence that will happen if you do trading and if you don't have extra knowledge you'll see what happen. if you don't have knowledge either you scam and rob your money or you don't able do trading if that happen to you so gain more knowledge by your self first then gain extra knowledge also to those who have big experience on trading.

There are a lot to consider first before you consider being an investor or a trader. I think the very first thing that you should do is to learn more about the basics of investments and have a knowledge first on what you are going to invest for. I think it is a must that you have any idea about investments and the coin you choose to invest with. The value of cryptos changes from time to time, that's why you really need to have a lot of patience. Wait for the proper time to buy and sell. And last, continue to explore around the market of cryptocurrency, look for different alt to trade with. Do not put all your eggs in one basket.

Actually we are same ( a new beginner), i just remember of someone advice in this group also, he said " Before you do something that you never know about  it..Try to learn it first " , Never invest on something that you're not expert on it. So the conclusion is, we better learn first about trading before you get involve on it.

Before starting anything, it is better to learn it first. It is for you to know the mechanics or the concept you must apply. Joining trading or anything without knowing about it is like going to a battle having no armed forces at all. You'll end up losing.

I think the best thing to ponder here is you should know and learn the right time when and what to buy and sell because profit is what we are really looking forward here.A lot of people here always say to buy low then sell high. But it won't be as easy as that. You should learn to study the previous price chart and its movement, and recognize all those coins you considered potentials.

1) Do Your Homework
Always do your own homework and don't just take others words for it.
2) Proceed With Caution and Care
Risk is inherent to investment, and investors should keep in mind that digital currency is in a very early stage of development when compared to similar asset markets like the stock or bond markets.
3) Diversify
As an advisor this is my biggest rule.  If one is fully diversified they don't have too much more too worry about.  Never get in over your head on risky investments.
4) Keep Your Coins In Wallets
Always use paper wallets and hardware wallets like Trezor
5) Prepare For Volatility
This is a new Tech, tough time will be ahead.  Any phenomenon game change like this is set to have it's ups and down.  Give it time!

If you just begin in trading, I suggest you to trade with only a small amount. Put the majority of your crypto in a secure wallet and practice tradi g with rest. Like that, you can train, learn about training without the risk to lose all your investments. With time, you will become more confortable and you could trade with higher amount.
There are plenty of trusted exchanges. I suggest you Binance and Bitstamp which I use without any problem but there are many others.
For the rest, it is up to you. Just don't put all your money in one basket.

I don't think top 30 coins on coinmarketcap is a safety choice for investors because the price of them can be dropped and they're still at the top 30 on coinmarketcap ?
So it means you still lose and they're still at the top. So it makes no sense to look at the top 30 and base on it to make your invest.

For starter maybe will be better if you choose ETH because the price is stable.
The trading tips what I know :
1. Not lend money fron your friends, because maybe you will be panic when the price drop and then your friend want their money back.
2. Have really big patience, because we don't know about the price in future.
3. Use long term trading time, because usually this trick always get the profit
4. Learn to analyze about the moving price everyday
5. Don't be Panic Seller, though the price is drop/fall so far, never sell it, because the price will be back to normal again.

Such a good advice for a newbie

The first thing to take note of when you’re getting started in Rules of Survival is that there are several different modes that you can play—three in total. You can play solo, which is you against everyone. Duos, which is you and a partner against other teams of two, and then squads, which pits you and three others against other teams of the same number. You can select which mode you want to play at the main menu, after you choose the server that you want to log into. Choose a mode that fits your playstyle, and then dive in to get started.

The biggest tip I could give to newbie or should I say beginner investors is to stay calm during price drops. Most of these price drops are just temporary and go away after a few months. To which the value after would then increase. If you get carried away and panic sold your investments you are not only stripping yourself with the chance to gain profit in thenlong run but you are also hindering bitcoin to recover and regain it's losses. While you are beginner and have a little knowledge about Bitcoin just read first about Bitcoin, post in the forum to increase your rank until it become a Jr.member then you can join campaign that is what I do now like signature campaign and Facebook campaign that is easy for me. For me signature campaign is easy and good for my knowledge because there is a lot of things that you can learn while you are spreading the word of what signature campaign you joined you must wear the code depends on your rank then read the rules carefully that will guide for you and post in the forum by wearing it, post in the forum depends on the rules. Read more to expand your knowledge and spend a time for Bitcoin.

As a beginner, the first thing you should do is keep reading and learn more before you invest in bitcoins.
Second, don't take out all your assets and invest in bitcoins, which is a stupid thing to do. The price of bitcoin is not stable. You need to do a risk assessment.

For a newbie investor, just test the waters first. Don't fully invest since you're just trying to get to know the industry of trading first. Use only the amount of money you're prepared to lose. Don't go all in and feel regret when you lose all of your money when crashes come. Buy at dips to and learn to hold.

Study first and research the necessary things you have to learn about trading crypto currencies because you dont want to lose your money when you dont know what your doing. Start with only a small capital just to learn how things work and once you get a hang of it you can deposit big amounts. Invest in known altcoins that has good value and never buy price in green, try to buy cheap altcoins. If you dont know something just search it in google, youtube, bitcointalk. I hope these helps.

DO NOT HOLD CRYPTO ON AN EXCHANGE!!!!!

this cannot be stressed enough. One reason for this is to avoid loosing your coins due to hacking! Your a relying on another person to look after your money because you are not in possession of your private keys whilst its on an exchange. Another reason its best to keep your crypto of an exchange is because it adds an extra fire wall to you making some rash decisions you will regret. The time it takes to get your crypto of your hardware wallet is usually enough time to come to a clear head and ignore and FOMO or FUD

You should know how to be patience, if the the value are in the low price. Just read about the article about the exchange. I think many exchange that has a great coin to be exchanged. Always sell your bitcoin or altcoins if it has already profits and buy if the the value are in low price. It is easy to understand and you will be ready to go if you keep in your mind the advice to you of the some of the member here. Always read about the reviews and articles about the exchange site that you will enter.

any advice for beginner trader ? what exchange to use and worth trust ? what coins to consider trading in ? what strategies to use ?
There are some tips for beginners, I think this is great:
~ Understanding the Characteristics of Bitcoin Movement.
Bitcoin price movements in the market have certain characteristics that are influenced by several factors either fundamental or technical news, and certain other things that have its own uniqueness.
~ Conduct Technical and Fundamental Analysis
Before trading, you must learn to analyze the bitcoin price movement technically, by understanding the indicators and trading tools that match the characteristics of bitcoin movement in the market.
~ Read the global news and news events that will appear
In trading, we need to pay attention to what news (news event) will appear and what time the news is released. In addition, the ongoing global news that may affect the bitcoin price movement is also important to be given attention.
Hope this helps you.

First thing for most, please do read a lot about cryptocurrencies. These are really hard to absorb and it is too risky so you should have a full understanding about all this. Regarding exchange, well I can suggest my top 3 would be Bittrex, Binance and Kucoin. Those are my favorites because it is fast to use and user-friendly. If you are a beginner, then you may first invest on the blue chips. Meaning the top most coins we have on coinmarketcap. Because they are more stable than other tokens. Lastly, control your emotions, do not be too greedy. Goodluck :)

For beginners my advise is to equip yourself first with information about bitcoin what its origin, how does it works, what are the benefits, what are the do's and don'ts, as a trader the right time to buy is when the value is low. There are a lot of information on bitcointalk, experience in facebook and google.

This is a risky investment so try to gain some knowledge in this forum then continue to analyze the best coin. This is the right choice for beginners if you want to invest know you only affected your investment.

First Do your own research! Invest only what you can afford to lose that's RULE no.1
secondly Don't put all your eggs in one basket, DIVERSIFY that's RULE no.2

Binance, bittrex and coinexchange got my trust in trading.

Coins to consider trading in are those who have protocols like  NEO, XRP, ETH etc. (DYOR) is important

Strategies to use well. BUY LOW SELL HIGH and don't sell at Loss just HODL.

Happy trading ;)

Before invest or treading, you should have the better understanding of how markets going on. Since you are a beginner I suggest trading on top 25 coins according to total market capitalization. top 25 coins have the low risk of loss. while you are studying about the trading, you can invest on ICO.

For trading, you might want to check out GDAX or Binance and focus on starting with some of the top (less risky) coins while you get your feet wet and learn more about it. You'll hear a lot of people say to buy in the dip, which can be a good strategy for a quick buck. Be mindful of the market trends and don't invest ant money that you cannot afford to lose.

Good luck!

I would recommend you to do the research before taking any investment decision. You can take the help of online reviews if you are giving a thought to start trading on any exchange. However do not trade based on others opinion, you can start with the lowest required amount and learn from your own trial and error method. Build your own trading strategies and test it in different kind of environments.

As beginners we need to observe also the situation of the business that we have so that we cannot waste our time and effort to do so.

Actually we are same ( a new beginner), i just remember of someone advice in this group also, he said " Before you do something that you never know about  it..Try to learn it first " , Never invest on something that you're not expert on it. Start out doing some Airdrops. Nice way for beginners to earn some free cryptocurrency.

New projects, but also ones already listed on coinmarketcap give away free coins and tokens to follow their social media

You can read everything about how to get started here:

https://medium.com/@RobertSteenhoff/why-i-participate-in-crypto-airdrops-5273bd25c0d7

but you must be careful in joining airdrops some of them are fake and virus/phishing sites so please study well before joining the airdrop program for your security

Yes so true, many crappy Airdrops around and major Airdrop channels just spreading them. Have been opting in for about 20 each day and select the high potential and easy to complete ones.

Feel free to join the channel: http://t.me/Premium_Crypto_Airdrops

you better try to find lots of knowledge about bitcoin and other crypto. there is plenty of bitcointalk knowledge material for your understanding. spend a little time reading and searching for knowledge. after that you will know what step will you do. may be useful.

yes, I agree with what you say.
the principle of starting a trade is to start to earn a profit or get a loss.
for beginner traders, you should first understand the fundamentals of each traded coin.
I hope this helps.

There are many exchanger. you can pick one based on your own research.Never put all your investment in one currency. Your capital should be broken into smaller lots for multiple positions at different price levels.Do not invest your life savings or money that may change your life drastically in the event of a loss. This rule is important mainly due to the existing level of uncertainty that still exists within the Bitcoin market. Take full advantage of available technology in order to gain maximum profit. Understanding the market is a continuous process and requires a lot of time, concentration and effort. It is very crucial to do research and be up to date with current trends. It is important to stay focused.Traders should keep in mind that losing, just as much as winning, is an integral part of trading.

any advice for beginner trader ? what exchange to use and worth trust ? what coins to consider trading in ? what strategies to use ?

As what i have learned for trading that we should stick only to famous coins in which although expensive to purchase but very huge chances of earning like BTC, ETH, BCC and RIPPLE. But even though these coins are promising still we should invest only the amount that we can afford to lose.

At first you should understand the operating system of this market, need to be aware of the level of risk and gain.
Then you study and analyse some of the leading currencies. Based on their past history of fluctuation of rate,  you will realize something at least when to buy?, Which one to buy? and at what price to buy. It's all about your own decision.
Thanks

Tips that I learned and are often not told:

1. Careful with "fat finger", know what you're doing before clicking anywhere.

2. If you're eager to keep up, think about buying your own hardware wallet.

3. Always consider the fees

4. Study about the possibility of buying an ASIC, so you don't need to sacrifice your own stuff to mine (if you're mining).

Hope this helps a little.

thanks a lot for this, couldn't agree more with 2 and 6, learning from here that researching is crucial.

To be exact, it's too hard to spot yourself in the market alone. It seems like newbies like me need more time to read the topic related ..

In case you're an amateur in digital forms of money then you ought to consider not to exchange, rather in the event that you extremely needed to put resources into cryptographic forms of money at that point attempt to purchase ICOs or bitcoin or ETH yet hold it for speculation instead of exchanging for a brief period, there are heaps of exchanger yet consider bittrex don't acknowledge new record as of now, these days the most prevalent as I would like to think is binance or cryptopia. Be that as it may on the off chance that you needed to purchase ICOs you ought to inquired about completely on the grounds that there are heaps of them popping every day.

And this advice is given by a user named hodlcoiner... You should be telling people to buy and hodl FFS! ;D

Do a proper research before you invest or trade on anything.

One of the most important lessons in life. Most cloud mining investors are reading and crying right now :D

You must invest only the amount that you think you can afford.

Second most important thing. Although if you are to put your money in a fake company or a HYIP scheme, you're better off not investing at all.

My tip for a beginner to help to succeed in trading is to trade more kinds of coins rather than just one kind in order to increase the probability of success and earnings. Also, I would also advice to only post things inside the forum that are relevant and helpful in order to have the chance of getting merits, thus allowing one to rank up.
