So facebook bans cryto advertisement. is it an effort to destroy crypto currency that they fear can free the humanity from the Govt banking system.

Well as i can see markzuckerberg is being bullied by the U.S government thats why he has no choice but to kiss their ass.Facebook is helping F.B.I to track down these xriminals using their accounts,theres nothing new about these ban,like what they did to pornography but people always find their way to post links in facebook.I have been using facebook to promote my websites and i can say their automated system is quite good but there still some openings so you can still post links like using shortening URLS like bitly.

Facebook has only banned the paid advertising of cryptocurrency. Which is fine as I get sick of seeing them when I do occasionally jump on Facebook. You or anyone else can post or share crypto stuff on your timeline so bounties etc will not be effected.
So as long as you don't make a paid ad for cryptocurrency nothing changes.

It's just a fake war. I suspect that facebook wants to enter in the cryptoworld with its own coin.
So, the message will be "other cryptocurrencies are scam, so we offer you a safe coin".
And people will be so stupid to believe it.

Not all adverts are legit and this is a fact that we all know very well. That's why Facebook has banned cryptoadvertising. They want to clamp down on Fraud/Scam and slowly try to remove their options in scamming others.

FB does need advertising ban, because from their point of view, if not, then the user involved in the fraud of the ICO project, so FB could face of user complaints, and every country's attitudes towards ICO is not very friendly.

I think the war is really going with the banks. Because they suffer serious losses from the fact that people stop coming to them to take out loans or use their services to send money to other countries, so I think that it is banks that promote all these laws on the part of the authorities in order to complicate the living of the crypto-currency industry

Also that might be the situation when the banks payed to Zukenberg an interesting sum of money for banning ICOs.

Yes now the governments and big corporations around the world are fearing cryptos but do not worry as cryptos will win this war, crypto is the future, blockchain tech has just started.. Keep hopes high.

Twitter should do the same, getting really tired of all these scams appearing in my feed, bitcoin doesn't need advertising, only these leeches like James Altucher and scams like BitConnect make massive campaigns.

Facebook is getting annoying. I personally didn't used it anymore. To much hate and fake news at facebook right now. Crypto communities should ignore that news. We can proof it. Without facebook as advertisement tools, crypto still could growing bigger.

It seems to me that there was a lot of spam on facebook about cryptocurrency. People who participate in the bounty are very actively disseminated information about cryptocurrency. Facebook began to remove some reposts about the cryptocurrency.

FB only banned paid banner adverts. Some peolpe say they are happy with this, because they are sick and tired of such ads on every page of facebook. Nobody can ban people write posts about cryptocurrency.

I agree with the post. Actually the war had started once bitcoin introduced into futures and leverages. Those are whales in these kind of markets and I am not sure if they are interested in blockchain and peer to peer money transfer revolution. The big whales may think this invention may harm to their wealth.

But I am sure that they are going to try to make some money from cryptocurrencies instead of killing them once and for all. This year they can shill some other cryptocurrency than Bitcoin, this may be Ethereum.

It's just a prelude to regulation. They want to stop the scams, and in an unregulated market the only way to do that is to start by banning everything, and then later on approve the legitimate ones . It's just a very broad approach as a first step. Crypto will be back on there, I'm sure of it. And if it means the scams get blocked then so much the better.

I believe that this is not at all an "attempt to kill crypto-currencies", as Facebook owners many times, spoke positively about crypto-currencies and even considered the introduction of some new technologies related to them.

Its always an opprortunity for everyone to make other coins in this crypto world. Just like cryptocurrencies, facebook by nature is an online app that had influence so many people all over the world. Both are originated or operated online. Definitely, they can create their own coin if ever they wanted to enter the crypoto world. Created and develop by human beings might as well everyone are capable to enhance or innovate online related business or applications.

This is no war. It is just a ban on paid advertising of ICO's. If you have a legitimate ICO it should be able to attract followers who will participate in a bounty campaign to promote it. Since scam ICO's never pay a bounty, the bounty hunters are incentivised to check if the ICO is legit before promoting. This will only affect scammers that where creating fake ICO's and using Paid Facebook Ads to promote their scam.

The governments had no choice but to get involved bc of sites like bitconnect...scamming people out of  billions and also with ICOs launching just to steal money with no real intention of doing anything else. The thing that sucks is now all the legitimate crypto companies have to deal with over regulation.

This topic is a full plate to take get negative, avoid talking nonsense about war, but coming back the question, I do not consider it as a war, I consider it as a avoidance of false information among the masses, anyone who wants information that seeks and finds Bitcointalk or specific media, another perspective that we can look at is the safety of the cryptocoin since morality, and in practice as well.

I suspect that facebook will create its own token to make profit for these many campaign. Yes scam is enough as a reason to ban the advertisement of all cryptos scam in facebook can't be stop it will always be in all social media but the possibility that facebook has a plan to make its own token is more reasonable. You've probably misunderstood the problem. Facebook does not ban crypto ads, they just do not allow the payment of advertising by crypto because it is illegal in some countries in the world. I think Facebook does this right and there is no reason for them to ban the crypto ads because crypto is the currency of the future.

I feel you. I do love crypto but it's very annoying to see crypto advertisements every time I browse my news feed. I also noticed that my posts on Facebook via Twitter link about ICOs are recently banned. I am not sure if Mark is just following US regulations or banning it for its own coin. Let's wait if it will happen because if ever the latter happens, it'll be a blockbuster.

Take care, the war is real: not only facebook has banned payed advertising, but if you make post about bitcoin or with a link to some crypto site there is the risk that will be marked as spam.

They probably just banned it as they will bring out their own coin and they don't want competitors advertising on their system. Not many people take notice of these ads, most realise it's just fake news anyway. Go to twitter and telegram for crypto updates, facebook is just old tech now :D

Facebook team has nothing to do in exerting effort to destroy crypto currencies nor bullied by the US government to do what they want,they are just trying to impose a policy to protect the interest of the people from either financial or mislead information , although some argued, that the move is relatively not fair to legitimate crypto companies but as far as i know , some of the bigboss of FB teams are also a board members in crypto exchange, again its purely for the people

There is no conspiracy, just think of it from the perspective of a company.

If you owned a company and people were using your company to advertise and sell fake, scammy products would that be good for your business?

KYC is an international initiative to prevent money laundering.
Regulations on us citizens participating in ico? they don't exist.
ICO's don't allow us citizens because they don't want to go through the hassle of dealing with tax laws.

The ban is only for advertising but discussion in cryptocurrency still allowed by Facebook. I think the news was just exaggerating. It is also good to avoid too many advertisement that floods my timeline with a nonsense and false advertisement of ICO scammers.

Some people didn't understand the news clearly, it's only for advertisement so Facebook bounty is still working, also don't forget that now more people will talk about crypto and this will increase the awareness.

One may say that bitcoin now banned by Facebook has no effect on the cryptocurrency because the content viewership in terms of ads is not convincing enough evidence for one to invest in bitcoin, one thinks a lot before one invests rather than when one buys something like commodities. The investments of bitcoin may not come from Facebook.

This is the moment when the Crypto community should work together and strengthen the Crypto idea.

it's just as you said google fb and also twitter has start this program, i think it just a way to make people think all crypto are scam and they would make their own coin in the near future. fb implement the use of coin in their site before but didn't succes so maybe they now will make crypto related coin to use in their own site and said that other crypto is no good.

I think that Facebook might ban ICO advertisements because of their fear of Telegram ICO. If it's successful, all messengers will die soon  ;)

The giants and corporations can never win the war because Blockchain Technology has gotten overwhelming influence over the masses and can never be retraced back. There is no such thing like this and that there is no such war or anything like that. Bitcoin and all other crypto coins are far better option for the sake of investing money as well as making out more money and that it is meant to have in this world and will remain there in this world for some good period too. Those will believe in crypto coins will be the most successful persons in the world.

Facebook only ban advertising about ICOs. Its happen because many report about scam ICOs and company like facebook and google decide to ban advertising about ICOs to prevent people get scammed. I think it give no effect on crypto market

The same situation is also with Google, Twitter and Russian Yandex.
It's not profitable for them to ban advertising. I guess they were told to do so be their countries' gov-s.
But there is also some pros to this. E.g. there will be less scam ICOs advertising and scam projects will have less chances to deceive people.

Well it is really stupid that all these big social giants are banning ICO adverts. If they wanted to have a tier system of what kind of ICOS could advertise, I get that, but a blanket ban is really idiotic. Anyway this could pave the way for more decentralized social networks to start competing with these Social Giants and at least by taking some of the market share, they can also advertise ICOS as well. There is no doubt that the use of cryptocurrency will have a significant growth in the future and bitcoin will be leading the platform,i am not certain about the rest of the coins and facebook is an advertisement platform and there were many scams that were being advertised with the help of social media and scammed innocent users and in order to tackle that situation there is nothing wrong in stopping taking advertisement from ICO and being a company that wanted to protect its users they have the right to determine what kind of advertisement is shown.

I think, two options here. Or the centralized finance tries to suppress the decentralized cryptomarket at the very beginning of the development or, at least, to subordinate the cryptomarket under the control. Or whales in one environment with owners of media Internet giant and social networks, or whales are also co-owners of Internet corporations. And then we observe obvious attempt of manipulation of the market by means of media and social networks.

Cryptocurrencies are not linked to social media or advertising. It is a global revolution! It cannot be stopped by either governments,institutions or banks. People can choose to adopt or not a cryptocurrency. I'm definitely betting on Crypto side in the war! ;)

Indeed. The war between government and crypto was started quite long ago, but the real one has started this year in 2018 because governments has finally come ahead and shown concerns relating bitcoin and other crypto currencies and are prepared to take legal actions against it and regulate it.

Many countries mentioned bitcoin and crypto currencies in their budget speech and discussed about it in the council meetings. There have been actions of regulating crypto exchanges, launching of ICO’s, banning of crypto ads from social platform and many more. Even those countries that sat back and watched for many years and now getting into bitcoin and trying to either ban it or regulate it.

Banning ICO is not destroying cryptocurrency. In fact it helps the crypto to clean bad or scam coins that is or would circulate the market. They are protecting their users to avoid scam. Besides if the ICO is real, they will find a way to advertise their project in other Social Media.

It is a deliberate effort to kill cryptocurrency and attack on bitcoin image. Facebook was speaking in favour of bitcoin and blockchain technology before but why change their minds over night? Bitcoin has been doing well before they bring the issue of banning and place limitations on it. That’s true. Facebook is banning crypto advertisements due to recent increase in scams and fraudulent activities which have caused many people to lose their hard earned money. Usually there are advertisements of ICO’s and new token on the social platform among which very few are legit and good projects and rest are just scam.

People usually don’t see the need to do research before doing investment when they see advertisements of such projects and end up losing money. According to me, this step will help money stay in crypto market and prevent it from escaping in form of scams and also save people from losing their hard earned money.

Once you followed or liked one of them, they are going to swarm you with a lot more and there is no stopping it (or I just dont know how). But the thing is, that should not be like that. They looked like a blog with full of paid advertisement everywhere and you cannot read the contents of the page anymore.

I will be taking on the cryptocurrency site because governments today are stealing peoples money by getting a huge amount of tax in their salary but with cryptocurrency, everything is fine by working at home and earning a good amount of money to sustain our daily needs.

It doesn't matter. If you open your social media profiles or search something in Google, you will see ads of ICO and crypto related things. I think that promoting new projects will become harder, but still possible. Companies don’t want to lose profit, but they need to work in legal field.

Until now I saw ICO and other crypto coins  posting ads in facebook  this was only for paid advertisement which keep  pop every time you open your facebook. though this may affect temporarily the crypto market but with the  coverage of social media there is no doubt that  Crypto coins can find  alternative way to promote their coins soon.

I do not think it's necessary to talk about war. It is rather a forced measure to curb uncontrolled advertising of fraud. I think that good projects did not suffer very much from these prohibitions. Their popularity is quite high. Thus, look at this situation at an angle of positive dynamics.

Last January, this rumor is a pain in the back for all the crypto enthusiast because this would cause plunge but YES this happen. When Facebook officially announced their crypto ban, Google ( which already din ) and twitter ( most recent ) do the same acts also. Now, with all the rumors came to life, still crypto survived ( catching breath ). We will see more rough roads to come and also wish that this is just a roller coaster with excitement but still, SAFE.

I think facebook has only banned the paid advertising section of cryptocurrency, but this doesn't necessarily mean that we can't post or share anything crypto related information in our account.
There is a big difference in posting or sharing crypto related topics in your account with posting in paid adverts in facebook.

Such opportunity can create more jobs for more peoples ,it may in turn reform crypto industry in better way than what we have today .

There are news I found out that facebook was collecting informations about their own users. Well, I think in this era, facebook is not anymore trend and soon it will be vanished by new existing social media sites. Banning of facebook is not the worst battle against cryptocurrency. I think that Facebook's ban on cryptocurrency advertising does not affect the cryptocurrency market. Facebook does a certain degree of protection for certain customers. Nowadays, many token advertising are deceptive!

i think its only a rumor, because until now many advertised about crypto still playing on facebook page, neither with youtube, they didnt do banned ico advertised until now.

I assume all big international companies are researching into implementing blockchain technology into their processes and routines. Some may resort to launching a cryptocurrencies, most will not and have no reason to. Only startups gain by having a currency....it is to incentivize people to come up with new innovative ideas, and to be able to fund the project itself. Buyers being able to speculate is a nice extra, but to the big giants totally not needed...

I think that the giants are worried about their well-being. They do not need interest from the controlling bodies. This can bring a lot of lawsuits and big financial losses. Unfortunately at the moment there is no order in the crypto market ..

It is not an effort to destroy cryptocurrencies, people have been through this over and over again, they have to protect their users and since people are using their platform to promote crypto ads which they use to scam people then they have to do something. This benefits everyone since something have to be done about the scams in the industry

The fact is that after they announced this they decided to create their own cryptocurrency and therefore simplified the rules of advertising ICO and cryptocurrency!
