Hello Crypto Community,

As the title says, do you believe in Dogecoin future?

Do you also believe that it will be able to reach $1 by the end of this year? Or from now on will it just go down?

I ask all these things because I own 100,000 Dogecoin and I see how the whole crypto market is down for weeks.

I bought Dogecoin when this was almost 2 cents. Do you think there are still chances to make a profit?

For 5 years, I have not lost interest in this doggy currency. Bitcoin with the growth of its price pulled for himself and forks, including even doge. But I am a pessimist and I will say so from the market, it will not disappear, but it is not worth the growth from it, but for now 1 cent is its peak.

It may be worth trying to keep in mind that it was started as a joke cryptocurrency and it has a market cap of 713M USD today. It's possible it could go up, but, it's not a coin that I feel has 100x potential

I bought 100,000 Dogecoin because I also read some online news about John McAfee that has invested $27 Million in Dogecoin, Bitcoin and Verge, and I thought it could not be a losing currency if some successful business people are investing so much money in it.

I just hope it will reach at least 50 cents in two years.

Do you think it could be possible? Especially since it's about two years.

I don't know if you are aware, but dogecoin was made as a joke,the developers team were just coping the bitcoin code while changing few parameters.
There's not intent from the developer's side to keep the project running or to add new features in the future, in fact, we can say that the coin is basically dead and the only thing that is keeping it running is the legacy, people remember dogecoin as one of the first coins to ever come out and that's the only reason they buy it and dogecoin still has a value.

I think it will continue to grow in the market over time, not only dogecoin but the entire market is affected by Bitcoin. Next time the market will recover and Doge's prices may improve

Yeah, here I think I agree with you. I do not think the Dogecoin still has the power to grow so much, at least not this year. But I strongly believe that coin will not die and someone will come to take care of it.

There are so many new coins on the market that promise so much and who struggle to get to the Dogecoin rank, and it's not that easy for them. That's why I think that Dogecoin is already strong enough to not get back.

i have seen doge being accepted as a payment gateway in few websites other than that it practically has no use. In crypto world, we cant predict anything. I dont expect it to cross 1 Dollar this year

In my opinion, Dogecoin is just a joke, it has no value, the only meaning of its existence is hype, so why do I choose to invest in this token? And now that the market is on a downward trend, investing in Dogecoin is not a good option.

Dogecoin is somewhat stable to hold, for sure. I don't like buying it when it's above 40-50 sats, as it's quite hard for it to regain traction if say you bought in at 100 sats, which it was btw. It's been stable at 20-40 sats for a LONG time, and boosted up and got a lot of credibility of late.

It's an excellent coin for what it is for sure. It's fast, convenient, still being worked on. I believe dogecoin will always be around. I'm not sure if it can ever hit a dollar, as there will always be MORE dogecoin unless something is changed. But it will always hold value.

But dogecoin never hit $1. dogecoin supply is almost very high that’s why dogecoin growth is very less.i like dogecoin because it’s  transaction speed is very fast but not like to invest in dogecoin.if you are in good profit then sell dogecoin and invest in some cheap but strong coins like stellar,ada,xrp,verge,golem.but last decision is yours.

DOGE won't reach $1, that would be over fourth of the whole cryptocurrency marketcap at this point! It probably won't go anywhere, as many will keep on using it as an exchange medium between exchanges, but I don't see it going to such massive valuation ever. It'll probably rise, but hardly over one cent.

Dogecoin holds 31st rank on coinmarketcap, yes, but on coingecko holds 15st rank, and coingecko is a platform with over 1 million unique visitors per day and I do not think this can be ignored (this was another important criterion on which I took into account when I bought 100,000 Dogecoin).

But indeed, $1 would probably mean too much this year for Dogecoin.

Dogecoin is here to stay, but price wise, IMO it will not moon due to it having a potential infinite supply.

Why on earth would you by dogecoin for 2 cents a coin? That's insane. A doge will always be a doge but you have to wait quite some time for it to get to 2 cents again.

I do believe in DogeCoin's future because it is one of the fastest Crypto in the market today.
I bought a couple of hundreds of thousands of DogeCoin last year and I do really appreciate my decision last year because today DogeCoin although it's a very long way to hit $1 but it is indeed increasing and pumped it's price regularly.
DogeCoin is being traded in the market around $20 Million daily so I really don't think DogeCoin will be going out of the way but instead it will do go somewhere brighter future.

Dogecoin started as joke and yet many believe on it. It started making a name for it self. I think it catches the attention  of not just a few but many coin holders by being less in price and transactions are also good. With this advantage I think it will continue to go on in the future making its name to the list of coins that are popular and well known.

Yes, it is. I had no experience when I invested. But I'm staying now and thinking that if I continue to buy up to 1 million Dogecoin I have a great chance of getting $500,000 in a year if Dogecoin reaches 50 cents. But for this I should first expect the Dogecoin value to be back to $ 0.0036. At least at this value I saw it dropped the most just a few weeks ago. And I think I will be able to be on profit with this business if he never drops below that value after purchaseing again and he'll grow up again where he is today.

The crypto market is red but it does not really affect the value of the altcoins. Dogecoin is a good altcoin and I have bought 10,000 coins and are waiting for them to cost $ 1. Dogecoin is considered a potential altcoin and its price will reach $ 2 at the end of 2018. I am very confident in dogecoin and that miracle will happen, just like what ripple has ever been.

I don't know if dogecoin will reach $1, I think it takes many many years, many people holding and hoping to reach that price, The dogecoin was made for fun and still popular because of the cute dog in the coin and also the low fee, I don't see the dogecoin improving in the future but you can make a profit for short term only.

Why would anyone believe in the dogecoin future when the founder himself is not interested in its development. One thing that is still keeping dogecoin us it's years old community which is making fun with memes.

Dogecoin has been around for some time now. Though the major issue with Dogecoin is the volume that was created which was very large. Anything is possible in crypto ecosystem. Dogecoin has been rallying for some time and there is hope that it can reach at least  0.5cents .

I think the community counts the most. I do not think there is a virtual currency that really does something, except Ripple, which is said to be very fast in payouts.

It's has been said, dogecoin started as a joke that tries to imitate bitcoin just by making alterations in algorithm. And also would like to note that the founder himself has lost interest in it. But as you can see dogecoin still survives and persists at present.
So I would say that every coin has a potential to grow, but largely dependent on many factors, and I cannot see dogecoin growing even as much as 50x as of present. But don't lose hope. Everything has the potential for growth

The developer has gone and what could we expect from doge coin? The worst thing if the bitcoin will try to solve its scalability doge coin will become a worthless coin. As far as i can see about the only makes doge coin still alive is pump and dump. Those people are playing doge coin just like a ball. Make others feels panic with a little pump and then dump it just for a few seconds.

3 years would be too much for someone who does not own at least a few hundred thousand of coins.

I am very glad to see that Dogecoin has so many fans. I bet a lot of people on this forum invested in Dogecoin and they certainly will not regret the investments. Why? Because I just said, Dogecoin has so many fans and they will increase this coin over time.

It'll be remembered for what it was, a memecoin initially intended as a joke. But yeah, it's good for transferring value and avoiding fees, especially if you're moving from exchange to exchange.

$ 1 is too much. dogecoin will continue to drive the current price. A comic coin and there is not any potential except the commission for the transfer.

Ive heard that Doge will have fork this year, approx during the fall. Fork will be called Dogethereum and will have faster transactions and smart contracts. Doesn't seem as a meme coin anymore :)

Although this coin was conceived as a joke, but now it is clear that it has become very useful for making purchases and withdrawing funds, since its low cost to bitcoin simply helps to make quick transactions and for a low commission. I belive in that coin and its helpness for cryptotrade.

For God's sake. The coin is only 'lel meme' and not serious. It has some chance when BTC become so high fee and costly in transactions but that's it. It will never come close to $1 mark.

I think you have to wait for almost 2-3 months to get profit from your Dogecoin investment because at this time market is in side ways or corrective mode, from this level bitcoins will settle at 15000$ level till april and then all altcoins will be in bullish zone, at that time doge coin might touch 0.05$. And when you bought , market was in bullish zone and every coin was making new ATH and now all altcoins dumped heavely. So wait and hold your investment you will definitely get good profit.

I think there are many other altcoins that are more potent than degocoin.
I myself am not too interested in altcoin degocoin. there are currently some good altcoins that tend to be cheap and increase in the next few months.

Dogcoin community is increasing day by day on Bitcoin talk forum,Github,Dogcoin Reddit, it was launched in 2013 by Palmer as a joke currency since then its value is increasing at a very slow rate,so if you invest in Dogecoin,you would not lose your investment but return will be very low.So better to invest in other currencies like BTC,ETH,BCH,ALT etc.

Just think positive, that dogecoin will grow in a near future price level. Looking back of bitcoin price before as what the history of bitcoin price before, it is actually a very cheap price that only few people interested to used and accessed. It is possible in crypto platform but it take 2 to 3 years because definitely it will pump in future but we don't predict the future. Still it is good potential altcoins so most the investors are buying in dogecoin. The future most of the countries are implementing the cryptocurrency so it will reach one USD.

I also do not understand why people talk about coin value in cents/dollar when expressing them is satoshis are  more convenient.

Doge market is one of the slowest in terms of growth. But I think there will be a surprise one day that's why I am hodling some amount of dogecoins.
Let's not forget about ripple, it was traded below 10 cent but now look at the market of ripple. It will take time but just hodl any quantity you can afford to lose and wait for at least 5 years.

So it's a long-term investment.

First i want to advise you never believe John McAfee's prediction because he always give the inaccurate predictions.
The price of Dogecoin now is $0.006 and market cap of Dogecoin is $690 Millions, when the price of dogecoin is $0.50 then market cap of Dogecoin will be $57.5 billions, this is too hard to happen if dev team of dogecoin give new technology. My prediction, the price of dogecoin will just reach 15 cent in two years.

Dogecoin is a project that was created for a joke. I think it has a more collector's value than an investment one. The developers themselves are surprised by the value that dodgecoin has achieved. This is a project without a future.

There are chances for dogecoins to increase its value or reach $1 US sooner or later but no one will be able to predict when it's gonna happen as the crypto currency market is always highly volatile in nature. Every year the value of crypto currencies keeps on increasing so for sure the value of dogecoin will also cross $1. If you invest now on dogecoins you will able to collect more coins than other cryptos as the value of dogecoins is too low and when the price increases, the dogecoin investors will be able to gain from the crypto market.

It might raise in value, as people tend to actually buy the cheap coins instead of the expensive one. You feel better having 4000 cheap coins rather than having 0.3 of a coin. :P

it is a very difficult thing to do, that is predicting the future. if talking about dogecoin I think it is a coin that has high strength but because the supply is very much so the price is relatively very cheap and I will only think positive that at the end of this year doge will reach the highest price.

It has a quite high inflation rate as well as an extremely large and uncapped coin supply.

In my opinion, Dogecoin has no future. The reasons, because the continued inflation is not good from an investment standpoint. There is a high chance that you will not get good returns on your investment.

It has become directionless since it's departure. The development community hasn’t done anything (except becoming philanthropists) for the past 2 years.

All these things aside, the original idea was a joke. It was meant to be a funny thing that had a lot of inside references to culturally relevant (at the time) things. For instance, the inspiration to have a coin supply of more than 100 billion came from a movie.

Although small actually coins in has a lot of interest in this once mainly for mining. If this year I think these coins will not experience great changes, for the next few years could just recently experience a significant price increase.

Coin Dogecoin was created just like that. The developers said that this is just a joke and there is nothing for this project. But this does not mean that the price of this coin will not grow. I bought some of these coins myself. I think in 2018 this coin will be PUMP and not one. Since often PUMP is made for cheap coins.

I am a big fan of Dogecoin. I started my crypto trading with dogecoin. I used to trade regulary dogecoin. I believe in dogecoin it will rise in future but can not predict it will touch to a specific value but I am sure it will continue to survive in crypto world. If you hold dogecoin for long term then you will most probably book some good profit.

I think Dogecoin is a trustworthy coin, because even after such a long time, and Dogecoin keep exist all the time, so I think Dogecoin also has its unique value, it gets a lot of people support the community.

Actually, I love how this idea goes viral and everybody starts to buy DOGE. Some of the people I've surveyed also didn't know that this is a meme coin. They just thought that: OK, this cryptocurrency has a Shiba Inu mascot, and it's kinda cute, so I will buy it.

If we are honest, I do not see this coin as having any future. I do not even know who buys it and why it is needed now, of course I'm stupid, but I have not yet found an application for this coin.

I am a believer of Dogecoin because I had used several altcoins and I am able to say the Bitcoin is the slowest transaction speed of them all but that's fine due to Bitcoin's network congestion etc.
DogeCoin is for me the fastest transaction speed and the transaction fee is almost nothing like you can't really feel there is Dogecoin transaction fees everytime you are sending coins between wallets.
I really do believe that dogecoin has a good future as it has a daily volume trading of around $20M.

Some coins don't need to provide value for it to be successful but rather they are community coins. Dogecoin is one such example of why it's going strong even after so many years. As long as it has an active community there isn't anything that is stopping Dogecoin from going up.

I cannot predict the future but here are a few points to take note:
1, Some exchanges are using dogecoin as the intermediary for buying other coins (similar function as btc and eth).
2, transaction speed of dogecoin is really fast and the fee is really low.

Dogecoin will have a good future. The role of Doge should not be specualtion, but as exchange of value. This is only possible with a stable currency. So I still HODL Doge no matter what happens .

I never lost faith in dogecoin. I keep it for a long term it may not go in 100% profit but it has some value and i think it will grow a little bit, thats why i like it and keep it.

Now all the coins are falling, and merge them now is definitely not profitable, it's better to wait for the dock to become more or less stable, and then it will become clear that the company presents itself

I'm not sure that DOGE will be able to rise so much. I don't know people who invest in this coin to hold for several years. But I know a lot of people who use this coin to send large sums. This is the main purpose of DOGE IMO.

Im sure never doge will reach 1$..I don't believe in the bright doge future, because nothing special behind this coin - fork of BTC with small modifications.  But I still see some benefits from using - very cheap and fast transactions between exchanges.  In other points - doge is more dead than alive.

Earlier, the Doges were doing well on the market. Nowadays the competition for such coins is rather strong, but I suppose there is still possibility of its growth.

I think personally I do not believe in dogecoin because I heard from some of my friends who have been playing on dogecoin for so long that dogecoin has been abandoned by the team and its founders are now the price of dogecoin only in the pure movement of the community if the community so it is too risky in my opinion .

If anyone said last year January that Dogecoin would still be worth the value it is today, people would laugh. And they are mostly still laughing now. We saw Dogecoin hit 1 cent per doge last year, so perhaps it can at least be the digital cent, if not digital dollar.

I really do believe that Dogecoin has a very good future as it is one of the most important Crypto in the market today.
