So much speculation on this question. As beginning to end of 2017 Saw a Major Boom and increase in BTC and other Cryptos
Do you see this happening again? As large growth spurt again for BTC for 2018? or at least a steady long growth that could carry into 2019 again? or do you see things staying stabilized and just small growth?
maybe the day of Bitcoin millionaires are over?
thoughts on this?

I am expecting price to reach new all time high level in this year itself but as we are in the last phase of the correction process, the situation will remain chaotic at least for the month so we might see some ups and downs in this month but after the first quarter of this year, I am expecting sustainable growth in the price.

Growth can go at any time. no one knows when it will be. I think that large investors are already studying and want to enter here. many forecast a large increase by the summer. I think the growth will be closer to the end of this year.

For now, the entire cryptocurrency market is in a downward trend, but that trend will soon change.
Because in the past, every year the June is a bull market, so we just have to wait and wait for June. ;D

Again all the altcoins and Bitcoin are raising but we must supporting to cryptocurrency because many new fake news are updated in all over the world. It is affected in crypto investment but this is good growth cryptocurrency so still time to invest in Bitcoin it make huge profit in this year end. In my opinion bitcoin price will boom again in the last Q3 of this years like 2017. because there are still little obstacles in the end of Q1, i hope new All high time will reach this years and the altcoin will get high rising on this years

Personally, Bitcoin prices are currently very low, and I think the supply and demand for the Bitcoin coin are saturated. Many investors have left the BTC market to invest in other altcoins. This makes Bitcoin prices stand still, and in the future it is possible that BTC prices will fall but not continue to rise.

When all noobs will stop selling they’re bitcoin on a low price and the big investors fill the gap with the help of whales. This past few month hasn’t been good to bitcoin in terms of its price but overall this slight stability of it makes the community bigger and bigger in numbers. Segwit also helps a lot through updates in transaction time and fee. It should be a much better time now to boom again.

Well, I was thinking of the same thing, And the thing is I only refer to the previews year. I think cryptocurrency will gain its power again this comming july.

Maybe wait for May or July to come, bitcoin and many more crypto will have a huge pump. This early 2018 cryptocurrency experienced alot of FUDs thats why the price keeps on dumping, but as the time comes the issue about FUD is slowly getting cleaned and fixed so we will see a healthier market in the near future.

I read on article that crypto market cap can reach more than $1trilion on years to come. I hope that prediction can be reality and if that happen I am believe that will start on this year maybe on end 2018

I can see that the  cryptomarket will boom again when we reach the 2nd half of current year most probably when july comes. Always be positive when it comes to crypto world because nothing will happen good if negativity comes first. Though i have read that many investors left the bitcoin for alternative coins we cannot predict how the price of it will behave.

I would say it can boom again if those big whales will invest huge amount of bitcoin as they can help those people have a little shares. Actually, it's hard to predict even the experts have no idea when the market boom again as we are hoping that it will happen again. As I can see the value of bitcoin is in the stability stage which can play around $10,500 to $12,000 which I can think it's a great time to invest.

I would rather say slowly booming the market is not yet recover for a massive dumping maybe in the mid of the year it can be back of the track.

According to most of market analytics BTC will go up around $30,000-$35,000 this year. In the next couple of years sure it will hit 1 million because still crypto market is young and growing. Most of the people are not aware of Crypto market. As a example in my country(Sri Lanka) only computer geeks know about cryptos. So the BTC market is still young. Probably it will hit 1 Million in few years and Ethereum will follow.

So back to your question.. BTC always boom with the start of new year. So it will definetly boom when the 2019 comes. But according to many experts we can expect a huge hype of BTC price in middle of this year..

It's just a matter of time. If you see the price graph of last year then you will get understand. Last year price was upward from the beginning. But this year it's going through ups and downs. Now there are 2 chances. One the market will totally collapse and the other one is it will bloom again. Now collapsing crypto currency market is not a matter of joke. Day by day the people are investing more and more. The capital of the market is also raising due to this investment. And the 2nd one will be true. The market will expand. The price will be high. Because many of the organization who are familiar and famous are investing in crypto world. So the capital is increasing. The more the capital the more is the profit. So just wait till the end.

If you have enough capital, really just the $500-$1000 swings are more than enough for you to make a great deal of profit.   No need to wait for some pie in the sky bull run.

Honestly, I sincerely think considering our past experience on the rising and falling of cryto value, I think mid/end of the year is the time the crypto value always rises!

Some of Korea's moves, now South Korea's largest bank, have accepted the transfer of ripples across countries. I think the Cypto market is gaining momentum and growing again in the next few months.

agree with you this should be the easiest way to make some money from the swings.

Market always have a roller coaster ride and this is the most volatile market than any other. So once the rise begins we will see it rising like 2 or 3k in a day itself and recovering it quickly. But this also bring s a huge risk as the fall could also be huge in such cases.

It's a bit unfair for bitcoin being questioned and pressured about the next boom.

There is surely be a new boom of bitcoin sometime, I dont know for sure when is it going to happen but it has to come at a certain moment. I think it will be later in the year before we see the market recover. I think Bitcoin could get back to $20,000 by the end of the year. As far as another boom in price. It could be another couple of years before we see another huge price increase after the recovery is complete. In the short term I am not sure that BTC will boom. Currently, governments are gradually interfering in the BTC. They are introducing stricter regulations. But once it has stabilized in the next few years, BTC will boom and will be the key currency in the world. There will be no legal money anymore. That is my opinion.

Based on the picture above, in 3 last years Bitcoin always rise up in the second half of the year.

Bitcoin's back toward the middle of this year, I think we'll see prices declining, particularly in Market volume. therefore in the case of new investors Bitcoin can increase faster than price. At least I believe it needed to fall into the price of the Bitcoin.

      Start from january bitcoin price falling down,when it strive to go up it goes down again untill now. I think market boom again at the middle of this year. So,have more patience and don't panic selling ,it can't help to bitcoins recovery.

I guess the g20 summit will affect this boom in a significant way, if there would be a positive approach towards cryptos than it would be a boom of market and vice versa.

No, Bitcoin is not over yet. We're just experiencing a huge dip, thats all, no big reasons for Bitcoin to completely fall behind it. Usually during the first and second quarter of the year, we experience a price spike. But Bitcoin will surely rise again on the final quarter of this year. Cannot be determined now, the market value is not being able to be analyzed with certainty and people in my country are announcing the same thing, much speculation nowadays but there is also nothing definite by writing origin with his forehead, my team did not find any symptoms going up high this March.

As per my understanding on crypto market i think the next boom is not gonna happen in 3 4 5 or 6 month. I think throughout the period btc will be going to maintain a slow growth. With the the range of 8k to 15k max. And i think by august 2018 btc will be able to get to the 20k. I am not just saying i am saying it cause historical datas are implying these sign. I am not expecting any time soon. I just wanted to see more adaptions first then expect a slow growth. I am not into drastic fluctuations, I see it as a danger for every investors that came late into cryptocurrencies. Earlier investors would just take out profits before it all go down again which is very unprofessional. I somehow think that the users are also the reason why bitcoins are extremely volatile. Once that it goes up, they all become scared and set off leaving nothing to new investors. They do not have any choice but to cut off their losses or just let it stay with the chain hoping for a growth in a few years.

I think you should not worry about this. Growth will not be, and will be great. In the market there are cycles of falling and growth, falling always follows growth. Analysts know this, so many predict 40 thousand dollars for bitcoin by the end of the year.

Eventually, bitcoin will really take off, probably in the next quarter, we will see that it will slowly regain its luster and then the price picks up and make a bullrun hitting all-time-highs.

I don't think bitcoin is collapsing. Now the price of bitcoin has dropped a lot, but now people are not pulling out of bitcoin, they are still trading in the bitcoin market. I think the downturn in bitcoin prices is temporary and will soon resume.

When there is continuous positive press about bitcoin and other altcoins (cryptocurrencies). Right now the market is very shaky and responding to negative press, government bans, sanctions, KYC/AML implementations etc. So people are cashing out, making the prices drop. I think also when the Telegram ICO luanches we would see some boom, and stabilization. If the news is correct Russia is now going to implement policies for cryptocurrencies, and Telegram is owned by a Russian company.

But will there ever be a positive press about Bitcoin? So far legit mass media are acting like critics of Bitcoin rather than new informers. So far or we ever see are press coverage about interviews of financial figures saying bad things about Bitcoin and they are agreeing about it, even before the Bitcoin boom from 1,000-20,000$ you will only hear bad things and warnings about Bitcoin being risky. So far they are not doing good in being neutral about the news they want to provide for us viewers.

That's truly accurate. I have absolutely no idea about motivation of those people who talk about bitcoin collapsing. There is no sense to talk about it because of 2 thousands $ falling.

I think in June or July , Bitcoin and others crypto coin's price will be boom again! And then In september to October , Price will down again. A few things have got to happen, the mt gov trustee has completed his dump of bitcoins, some new wallets and exchanges come out that make it a lot easier for new people to get and store cryptos and a lot of new people come to the space. Then it will take off. I think it'll start rising again in a few months.

The last months of the year are always been so productive and joyful for the investors of the crypto coins especially that of bitcoin. Even in the mid of the current year, some decent increase in prices will be shown by bitcoin. No need to depress yourself by paying attention to the false and depressing news about the future of bitcoin. These are cheap market tactics for competing with and surpassing your opponent.

Maybe the market will continue to turn around until the end of April. I think May will be a good start for the crypto market. Currently, a lot of negative information appears, and I am waiting for the right news to help the market go up.

Sometimes a various speculation baffles me, and it can makes doubt on the steps which we will taken i guess, it would be better if we feel optimistic and confident that it will lead to a better direction.
Because after all that's not exactly certain, some news/information that we do not know yet.. it will answer everything, but most argue that it will lead to the higher, and i believe it.

That depends on many factors.
Here are the 2 most important ones.
How are the cryptocurrencies regulated and controlled by governments around the world? Will the public digital currencies prevail?
What technical innovations will come in the crypto world. Maybe a whole new coin will come. Will a so-called Altcoin like DASH or MONERO replace the BTC?

As I can see with current situation, I think 2018 will be the worst year of bitcoin but I can be wrong.
The fact is many government start to against bitcoin, many policy also try to restrict bitcoin usage so bitcoin movement is going to limited.
Of course I still hold it although I've chance to sell it !

By way of looking at the past trends of bitcoin , take 6 - 8 more weeks of low price transactions. Bitcoin may rise to a favorable level. Accumulation period may be slowed by then because of high demands on BTC.

I think no one can really say exact what will happen to the price of bitcoin in the next months but going by other years experience I believe better days are coming soon just a matter of time and patient.

If this happens, then not before autumn. In general, there is no reason for rapid growth. Interest in bitcoin fell. And last year's growth was due to high interest, which in turn was caused by price growth. And now it's the other way around.

Well, there are different opinions, someone think BTC will start growing in May or June; the others say that at the end of 2018 year. In fact, they try to analyze previous years, listen to analytics and to make conclusions. To my mind, in crypto everything depends on people, mostly on whales, who can sell or buy huge amounts of crypto but not on the month of the year.

Bitcoin price is not giving us good signals so we can not expect a boom in price for the moment and the near future. In the month of March if you see price charts history during the years you will notice that in the chart the price starts moving up exactly in this month.We are in the middle of this month and we are not getting any positive signal. For the moment things are not looking good for a boom to happen.

The price will be higher than its previous highest value this year, but when exactly it will happen no one will be able to answer for sure.

I think it's going to slow down. It will not grow as quickly as it did in 2017. In 2017, the price of bitcoins will surpass the new all-time high, and it will reach $30,000. I think it's quite possible.

Apparently your word is little much unsure mate since if you could see those price come from year 2017 back to the oldest ones you can had a glimpsed of huge hope for the bitcoins to reach for huge price by this year. Maybe for now price go stable or just played the dump and pump scheme but as months goes by on it bitcoin will get a huge pump just like what happen on year 2017.

i'm optimistic that bitcoin will surprise us again, the same as it reached to all time high last year. Although, the price for the last 2 weeks has only manage at $8k to $11KUSD as we seen some resistance to push to $12K mark. we hope that it will break that barrier at $12K as we need more new buyers to join us or some good news about bitcoin to start a bull run.

I hope that by the summer the situation with the fall of the market will settle down and bitcoin will finally begin to grow. And by the end of the year the price will be much higher than before.

Hope... It's not worth anything in a speculative market. Currently, the range has fallen below the average $10,000 line, which means that if we don't see it change soon, the range will only sink deeper and deeper. In a market where people use the all time high of last year as benchmak, the sentiment is severely dependent on how the market manages to find its way up to +$10,000 levels again. My predition is that from where we stand at right now, there is a 50% chance of going back to over $10,000 again, and a 50% chance that we will fall to $7000-$7500. It's all impulses that will stipple the direction of the market in current market.

Seems like bitcoin keeps getting slammed by FUD so far in 2018, and there hasn't been enough "positive news" to peak people's optimism and trigger FOMO buyers. I think it's unlikely for a bull run any time soon as people have just seen that bitcoin is "mere mortal" and is susceptible to vulnerabilities just like every other market, even though it seemed untouchable near the end of 2017. I plan to keep my cold storage for now, and in the meantime cover my eyes and go into hibernation until mid-2018 when I will re-emerge and assess the markets again.

Confused and thinking the same thing as you are with what is happening right now in bitcoin, i feel panicked with the declining bitcoin price very sharply.
In my mind this is a very difficult day for bitcoin to get up soon, because of the many corrections and negative news that keep bitcoin prices down.
But i think that for the next few months, bitcoin will find its strength again in August.

My bets are on 2020 for the really impressive action. There could be plenty sooner but that year has always made me feel strangely aroused when I ponder it. I no longer care about short term stuff. Looking at previous year's chart, prety much i 'd say its almost the same trend. I don't think There's something we need to worry about. We should never lost our hope and besides it is not the only time we've been in this crisis. We can't help crypto if we all losing our trust and confidence of it's capabilities. We've been here for so many years and maybe we are aware for this ups and downs scenario, that's why we should never take this as a critical thing in crypto life.

My guess is if Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies ever see another bull run again like we did in 2017 that it will be between 2021 to 2025, it depends on the adoption rate, public interest and how strict regulations are by that time period. A lot of people are still in heavy denial that 2017 was a massive bubble and is still in the deflation process. Bitcoin will not be going back to $20k anytime soon if ever. Everyone needs to realize that there was a massive mania in November and December, interest in bitcoin has heavily declined since then as a lot of people lost a lot of money. The mania is over, and now a bear market is imminent for the foreseen future. Right now there is no use for bitcoin or any other cryptos, until they have actual real world use, the price will not return to aths. Everything right now has been speculative hype.

Per websites and articles i have read about bitcoin predictions and cryptocurrencies, 2020 and 2021 is the year where we can see bitcoin at its prime. I'm sure prices are skyrocketing after August, whales are currently meeting to plan bitcoin prices to skyrocket, and usually when prices are dumps then only whales can make a skyrocket again, and this is a great opportunity for us to keep and never panic when looking at drop prices .

Stop assuming negative things when you are not sure of anything. You are a legend bro, and there has not been a starting point of any year that has never really been like this. However, we also have to understand that this is a market and can switch at any time, and even though we may be having some FUD, clamp down by the government, it still does not mean things would just get worst completely. Yes we have so many predictions seen in any news or thread here in the forum and hoping price could be grow this mid of the year. It is possible price could may continues down in the months coming, but as we can see their are many who truly believes on bitcoin capability to increase this year.

People should realize that btc can jump and rise multiple times in a short period and previous all falls can just be a history. Like wise, in 2018, on 1st January 2018 the price was at $13791 and on now its at $8500. A great loss of $5200 plus. Last year there was no growth in the first 3 months, but this year we had around $5000 plus loss.

But since we had a huge boom in December 2017, we feel it as a great loss here. But obviously, we are at a good stage. We are at 700 percentage growth compared to first quarter 2017. Hope the price travels from $8000 to $10000 unless and until there is no big pump.

looking at the current market conditions I see the charts in each coin have shown up and it seems to have entered the stage of price recovery hopefully the price will rise very high until the end of this year.

I see the fall is coming. There's something wrong when bitcoin is fluctuating rapidly. Just like the past years, I wasn't able to witness the first corrections but the one that I can remember during those days when bitcoin broke $1,200 and went down to $800. And the other one is when bitcoin is having hardship to break $2,000 - $3,000 (I can't remember if this is the correct price that I've seen.) About bitcoin's boom, there's no doubt that it will come soon, just be patient and let the market move for us.

That means no matter how dump bitcoin is, in the long run it will still go high. Let's have more patience and hope that bitcoin will not break the support level, but if its go below $8k again, just keep yourself on standby mode. We incur losses now, but don't give up just take it easy and we will survive.

That can happen and we all experienced it during the past years. I don't want to be more confident now but what you're saying is correct. After the dumping session, the next thing that will happen is the rising session. It went below $8,000 but now it's starting to increase again. And we did actually survived for so many years so this correction, dips or reaching the bottom has been passed for many years and this is not new to majority of the coiners.

I'm currently good with what I have so I'll stick to bitcoin. Base on every year's trend on bitcoin market, you're right that it seems every last quarter of the year bitcoin is surprising us with it's quick movement. And if happened last year and for the other years, it can also happen for this year. But again just don't be too confident and over excited, we still need to see on how long bitcoin will stay at $8,500. This signal is good if it remains stable at $8,500.

I think the bitcoin price will rise suddenly when the market explodes. BTC will reach its peak by the end of 2017. People start the story: buy virtual money real. BTC fever attracts bitcoin players. People will start to calculate how much bitcoin they hold and how much profit they make.

Crypto boomed when bitcoin spiked to 20k last december hence it caught the attention of a lot of people. Governments also started looking closer so we have more bans and regulations than the past years. But in the end, all this would probably be for the good and mainstream acceptance so i'm pretty confident that what's happening now is temporary.

I think bitcoin will start climbing when people were least expecting: possibly 2019 yeah. But when? It will be all about whales decision. Whales will say "ok we added so much coins to our wallets so we may pump prices".

Looking at the market situation so far, it seems that 2023 will be difficult to accelerate again, maybe it will happen in December because it is close to 2024 where the halving day will occur, but I'm not sure that the increase at the end of the year can exceed the ATH that happened in 2021.

The price of market is unpredictable and we have no idea that bitcoin will remains at such lower price or it will be corrected soon but I think most of the people are collecting bitcoin at this time as they have heared about the halving period.

The day of Millionaire cannot over because its just a temporary decline and booming but the actual bull will initiate in next year because of the reality of halving. surely bitcoin will boom again because market is going to recover back and this time is the correction timing which will give us better price in some months.
