We thought that the slight recovery of the market in the past few days is the start of another bull run for most of the coins but here we are again with another unseemingly dip in which we will see again a lot of FUDs that will only make things worse. Feels like we are given another chance to do something in this bearish market and take advantage of it. So how can we take advantage of this current situation?

It all comes down to these kinds of situation in which our trading skills are put to the test, anyone can make an easy money in the bull market but bear markets are where our skills are developed and our ability to make future profits is carved.

In a bear market, all coins are at its cheapest so it is a good chance to take some money out in the bank and invest it in a good coin but just because a coin is cheap doesn't mean it has value. DYOR on projects that are undervalued and has a potential to go ten folds or higher in the future when the market rebounds. Amidst the low quality or value of coins, analyzing one that has dropped a huge percentage from their ATH is a key.

This happens when most traders are impatient and the community has lost interest in the project even if their platform is still under development. They just want quick returns. So try and think about what you're doing so far and maybe you will realize that you are one of them and start avoiding doing these things in your crypto career.

Well it's because of the coins that has low quality and value that there is no chance of gaining high value at all even if they hold it for some years. Traders with non potential coins will dump it for sure to get their money another factor is because of some bounty hunters that don't has patience and not holding their earned coins they just dumped it because they never used a single penny to get it that's one of the main reason why some coins becomes low quality.

You can't really avoid fuds unless you completely separate yourself from anything crypto. It's everywhere in social media and the news. You probably have to learn how to live with all these and keep yourself composed. That's basically the best thing to do. Take your hands off first from crypto until the market recovers

I try to avoid recommending Poloniex usually but their leveraging and short selling features are admittedly pretty nifty.

The best thing to do now that the market is like this is to buy and hold, if you panic sell, you may sell at loss but if you hold, that may earn you a huge profit in the nearest month.

First of all do not panic sell, you will make market worse and even you will get more loss. If you think you can find a good entry point, you can sell and buyback at dip. But for the market now, I don't see any crystal clear dip, the bearish may continue till the end of April, for now better to bold any position we have.

Without a doubt we are in a strong bear market for altcoins, especially tokens. I even see coins with airdrops where no one is even bothering to dump. That is such a huge change from just a few months ago. All the 2017 ICOs are hurting pretty bad. I think they will have a very hard time making their investors happen until the market turns around. Even news about exchange listing that used to pop coins 30% or more are having almost no effect, with prices returning downward within a day or two.

I think it's necessary not to panic, and use this opportunity, because even if you invested in a coin that falls every day, you can trade for a slide and earn  ;)

The situation we are facing right now in the crypto market is a very big litmus test for crypto players. This is the period in which we know those crypto players who are persistent with the internet crypto space. If you are a strong believer you would pull out funds from the banks and buy more coins from the market for keep, waiting for the boom days to come so that you to sell them. I know it's not an easy task to carry out in the present situation where money is hard to find.

Money management is first and foremost factor in trading.If any trader doesn't pay attention to money management ,he/she will have to face severe consequences.Its necessary to keep im mind the risk reward ratio and trades must be opened accordingly.Only that risk must be taken that can be recovered easily.

I've been on a hold pattern for my coins/portfolio - but I have a fairly low risk portfolio, all things considered, and almost everything is still "up" from initial investment. Given the bear market, I think I agree with your 3rd paragraph, in that it's a solid time to re-invest some extra money into your portfolio, particularly if there's a certain coin or two that you have been continuing to follow that you think still has a lot of potential.

For me, that's enjin. I invested in at 2c, and it's still hovering around 10c. Not only that, but I continue to see partnerships forming and further establishing of the coin and use-case scenarios. That's a real positive for me, that even in the face of the bearish market, the developers and team are still progressing forward. Like you said, once the market starts to rebound, a lot of coins are going to rebound very strongly. I think the strongest coins will be the ones that found application even throughout the dips and drops of the market in its current state.

I have read quite a few articles and expert opinions that are claiming that super bullish market will be back in may and june, i do not know the basis for this may be some institutional money will be coming into crypto, if this will be the case we need to wait and hold for good times. Till then just enjoy your favorite sports and do not watch prices every hour.

Shorting is not meant for rookies. You need to understand the charts, market and need to keep a watch on market manipulators move who usually trade through bots. You definitely can't out run bots in tick trades which changes the whole trade in a second. So, it is indeed better to just HODL at the moment. Bears are strong enough right now but they are not going to destroy the market also. Bitcoin price has least chance of going below $6k and the whole market revolves around Bitcoin. Thus, market isn't in a really bad situation right now but it lacks bull which as stated in quoted text is a normal market cycle. Market will definitely recover in coming quarters.

If you are a long term investor and you have funds to invest then this is the best time to put your money in this bearish market because you get every altcoin in very cheap price and these opportunities never happenes everyday.  

The most important thing is to keep your mindset and do not participate in the transaction frequently. It is truly hard to see that you didn't sell the thing in time and now you keep losing. I think this is when people often make a mistake and sell the coins even though they lose from it. They sell, because it feels like the drop will keep moving the investment to zero.
What you say about now being the great time to invest in coins is true, but I believe that trading should be distinguished from it. While now is indeed time for investing and holding, trading might be rather hard right now. Trader should not care about the value of the project, should not believe in some and keep holding when the price is going down. He/she should simply buy and sell regularly and on time. Nowadays the volatility is pretty good, but the coins often just keep going down, so trading would be a truly hard activity in such conditions.

Yes. In these very long months of the bearish market, I prefer not to do anything. I seldom look at my portfolio to avoid disappointment. I also stopped believing to other people about giving dates when is the bull run. I just wait for it to come. Because I know everything will go fine, I take this as an opportunity rather than a problem.

I think now is a good time to buy more coins since many of them are really cheap compared to dec/jan prices. I do believe holding and patience is the key, if we don't sell we won't lose in long term when the market recover.

Recently i've read one guy saying he is running out of money and getting sick and tired of bear market. And the thing was, that he bought some coin at dip (at least he thought he did), then it became cheaper and he bought some more in hope of "moon-soon", but then the coin got cheaper again... and he bought again.  ;D ;D ;D so at bear market do like bears but not fools do ;D

Do something other than cryptocurrencies,because you cannot do anything if you are trapped already with these altcoin you just to HOLD if you have lossed a lot,but if the market will just going to have a bearish movements you can still get out fast so that you can buyback from the bottom if the bears are going to be dominant,buying at the dips would be the best move because you can earn an easy profit gains in no time.

The current market doesn't allow to earn as much as before, but still it's possible to get some profit from ICOs and trading. Overtime, the only regret during bearish market is that had I know I would have sold my tokens during bull run. The fact remains the deed is done for now we just have to wait for the market to recover.

Yes,  most of the trader or maybe we can include investors too,  for a dont enough patience to hold their coins to create a good return in the future, they are all wants to earn in a single way in terms of short period of time,  meaning even you are already invested on a good projects with a good platform and that has more potential to grow in the future, but you dont have enough patience,  dip will always happen. But we will see which coins will survive after this long run dip and which is not.

I am doing scalping whenever the market is in bearish movements and i can assure you,that you can make a lot of money because the movements are more predictable! In bearish season like this we could have it all. We can do trading or investing some coins, Reading alot of informations that they have. Study the fundamentals the positive and negative side of this coins. What can it do in the future and how can this coin will help the bitcoin community. If we have Capital, during this bearish season we can buy various kinds of coins, because we are all coins now the price is down. we can have a coin with a very cheap price, then save it and sell later if the price is high. My technique when the market is on FUD is i sell my coins in low price then i buy at lower price thats make my holdings gain more. I dont like putting another money on it when it dumps but i use that scalping technique when it dumps like that . Same as what I am hoping for that price will also change unexpectedly, here I am to wait until such time price increase will start to show positive changes. Although this bearish market will give us stress, I think that's a normal feeling and everyone is capable of handling that as long as there's patience and seld control. Definitely risking our coins by holding it is a very big challenge we are going to face while price still at critical situation. It may fall or rise any day of this month of April.

Going against market trend in a bear market is extremely important and can be profitable.

Buying at the point right now is definitely going to be a good decision to make for a long term investment. However you do need to be extremely patient with your investments and not panic sell if the markets were to go down lower.

Right now, ICOs are undervalued, alts are undervalued, and everything crypto related is undervalued.

This is exactly when you want to make your investments. Either hold your current investments, or buy some more. Only cash out when you're in profit. Patience is key in a bear market.

This is what is wrong with the people in the crypto industry, although not all but mostly. these type of people often do decisions that are unprecedented because of greed and just jump in without knowing what they are getting themselves into which then makes them prone to huge losses since most of the time, their strategies for investments is just to look for the cheapest coins available in the market and invest on them then just wait till their investments go to the moon = easy money for them. Unless this kind of attitude gets rid off the people who have them, we will always see people losing lots of funds and spreading fuds because of what happened to them.

Yes, it is very difficult to earn newcomers at the bear market. Investors feel particularly bad in this situation because their investment portfolios are constantly decreasing. There are two ways out of this situation:
1. Stop interested in crypto for several months (years).
2. Thoroughly study trading and margin trading.

Probably the best thing to do is accumulate on a linear timeline to acquire small amounts often. This protects you from a lot of volatility and you'll feel a lot better about getting coins when in any type of market. You'll buy at all the dips and buy at all the tops if your scheduled buy is often enough.

I love the sense on this post. Most times people look at the price of a coin or token to ascertain whether it is cheap or not. A token trading at $1 with market cap of $10m is cheaper than the one trading at $0.50 with market cap of $500m.

The only thing I can suggest you is just some simple and easy advice. Hold as long as you can until you get profit, or sell to reduce your loss. But I prefer to hold because the coins or cryptos that invest are long term invest coins meant to be. I just invest into btc and eth because I think those two thing are the best crypto right now and the most certain coins. we can try to make a profit from this and I guess that we have a big chance to sell at highs because many coins are trying to increase although it is hard. but I still waiting for the price to reach my target sell price and I don't want to sell it fast because the price still has potential to get decrease again. so maybe waiting for a while is a good idea to see if the price can go increase higher so we can close our order with a big profit.

bearish market is stock market control by the seller, that's where we as a stock seller can set the sales rhythm, we can sell low or high. because the sellers are in control of the market.

My opinion: It will increase, only time is needed. Time is always above all, especially in any business, not immediately will be a huge profit, you need to wait, then wait.

You could also do that but the point here is that rather than holding on to your assets, why not add more coins to your portfolio during the bearish market and don't be like any other weak-handed people that panic sells their assets as long as they see it's price dropping.

Depends on how much you bought bitcoin before. I'm good with the current price of bitcoin as I bought it earlier before $1,000 so whether it went down from $19,000 I'm still in profit.

Newbies will never understand that during the bear it's storing time / buying time.

It is easy, hold your investment , dont sell them for a chocolate money. If you see a chance to buy coins with dip prices, collect them. When it is bullish market, you are rich :)

During bearish market, the best way to do is to stay focus and calm. Do not panic and don't let your emotions to drive your decision making which isn't the right thing to do. Do not sell your coins as this might loss your profit instead of gaining. Waiti until such time that the bearish market will be over and will be back on it's track.

Thats true if you want to be in the safe side when the uptrend season occur then dont risk your money in random coins because some of them will face a hard time to recover back or worse might loss their value.

Bear market is an opportunity to buy more, be bullish in the prices cause dips are just temporary lets keep that in mind. Some of us cant refrain themselves from monitoring, its not a bad idea but it cant help you to think positively when the market has no indication of recovery.

In this bearish market I think the most important thing is to look at the personal risk tolerance. The ability to have money will take advantage of the pullback and lower the holding price.

I never see panic selling as an option, cryptocurrency will always have a moment of glory and it will recover atleast once each time of the year so panic selling should be something that investors shouldn't do no matter. Profit comes for those who wait and maintain a strong hand in this venture.

That strategy doesnt guarantee that the coin will be pumped somehow eventually, when a coin is never pumped since btc surging, there's only two possibilities:
1. A potential coin that still doesn't noticed
2. shitcoin.

I will continue to hold my currency when the market declines, because I think that even if it is now down, it will soon rise again, so I am not worried about my assets will be lost, I am very optimistic about my investment currency.

The downside is that the market is stabilizing the price of coin to develop. If prices drop you should keep coin in your wallet and do not sell. I anticipate over this time, in the future the price of coin in the cryptocurrency market will rise even higher.

For me, the best option is to invest in eth and hold it until the end of the year and not think about market failures.  Later it will recover and again there will be an increase in the price of coins.

A good way to follow in this bearish market is giving more slice to altcoins in the porfolio, especially the ones with 50M-100M USD market cap coins, and smaller slice to BTC-ETH-NEO etc. The thing is, if bearish trend continues, altcoins will provide more profit as it happens in the previous cases.

That's your case, but for most people and if you look at the bigger picture of the market. I can still consider it in a bearish state.

Newbies will learn this soon enough after they've acquired more experience in the crypto community.

Or you can find other undervalued coins out there and start buying them at a lower price as it has a higher chance of doubling or more in price than ETH at a shorter time.

Patience is one of the key for a profitable future. We just can't say that "oh it's a red market today how awful for crypto market, it might go red for the rest of the days as well." Cryptocurrency is being looking forward in the future by everybody. Their hopes and dreams are being fulfilled because of crypto's market thanks to its volatility. We just wait and let crypto recover and become a green bull again.

Yep that's my case and there are many of those that is in the same situation as mine. What to do on this bearish market, keep on holding and forget your investment for a while.

Experience is the best teacher and I've been through many dips and corrections that taught me on what's the best thing to do. Reading tips from the experienced one before that just hold and don't do the same panic selling as others did.

I believe we are now seeing the slow beginnings of the next bull run, which will pick up speed as June progresses. There are way too many significantr releases e.g. EOS platform for the excitement to leave the crypto industry yet :D

markets are always volatile . in a bear market , you can buy some high-quality coins for a very low prices . such as NEO . in January , it cost nearly $170 . when the bear market came in April ,  it was $46 . very good buying opportunity .

Keep holding if we have it and buy if otherwise. Bear market is a good time to start to invest in cryptocurrency.
